Heloo there, I am MisterRomanini, frequent lurker of the TEW 13 forums. I always wanted to do a dynasty that attended the great levels of people like Eisen-Verse, James Casey, The Lloyd etc. But then I realized: I CAN'T.

Is this a problem? NO.

So I want to make this an interactive dynasty. YOU will be my creative team, so to speak. We will create ideas for storylines, match stipulations, contracts... almost every aspect of the IMPACT Wrestling federation will be dictated by us.

The first element I want you to help me it's the company's PRODUCT. What kind of wrestling style should we put in IMPACT? Sports-entertainment? Hardcore? High-flying? What product would help us in storyline heat, sponsorship and overall popularity.Give your suggestion of product - if you want to be more detailed - give the setup for every product's element (match danger, intensity, match percentage etc).

I'm really looking forward to see your suggestions and how we are going to build IMPACT from the ground up!

In my opinion, IMPACT should be all about changing the world. You can change the world in the C-Verse by making something that is unheard of. I think IMPACT should be a Lucha Underground type show. Comic book characters with some great wrestling. This would be a great alternative to SWF, TCW, and USPW.

I think this is how it should be:

Key: Cult, Modern

Heavy:

Medium: Mainstream, Lucha

Low: Hardcore

Intensity: 60

Danger: 70-80 (I'd choose 75 for a good balance)

Japanese Junioshi:

Key: Traditional, Lucha Libre

Heavy: Modern

Medium: Hyper Realism, Daredevil

Women's Wrestling: Integrated

Intensity/Danger: 80%/65%

Face/Heel Divide: On

Hiring Rules: Maximum Size Lightweight

A sort of "wrestling-as-full-on theater" take, with a Japanese feel -- best run in Japan (KANTO/Tokyo) with lots of traditional gimmicks, old school story lines. Fully integrated, focusing on small-high flying wrestlers.

I'm backing Rocco's product, maybe lowering the danger to 70%. No women's wrestling, T&A at low, no face/heel divide.

Match type for event

1 on 1 - 70%

2 vs 2 - 15%

3 vs 3 - 5%

Triangle Match - 5%

Four Way Match - 5%

Match ratio 80%

Match type for TV

1 on 1 - 60%

2 vs 2 - 20%

3 vs 3 - 10%

Triangle Match - 5%

Four Way Match - 5%

Match ratio 60%

Match length

Minor match - 7

Medium match - 14

Main match - 21

Minor TV - 5

Medium TV - 10

Main TV - 15

I see why people want something different and thats great but I'm strongly against high intensity and danger levels. I would personally want my talent to be able to go in the ring for a long time even when they begin to lose a step. High intensity/Danger levels speeds the process in and the breakdown of their body hurts way more than time decline alone.

Key Features - Traditional & Mainstream

Medium - Comedy & Realism

Intensity/Danger - 20/0

Face/Heel - Up to you

Women's Division - Up to you

With those settings you can get great sponsorship money while holding popularity and in ring skills on equal footing. It's also less wear and tear on your performers. Just two cent from a professional lurker. :)

Edit: This doesn't have to take away from the wrestling styles you want to showcase. Its YOUR dynasty YOUR creation and YOUR vision. Just because your product is set one way doesn't mean you have to follow it to the letter. At the end of the day entertainment is the goal right? So if that a high flying 5'8 250 mute world champion who is extremely clumsy then hell go for. Its all in your hands no matter the product definition. Storylines and great in ring action can work anywhere. I'd pay to see a high flier go toe to toe with a technical beast, the story behind why they're at odds and the contrast of styles would make you want to watch right? Sorry just trying to find a way to get the point across but I feel I've failed miserably :)

Well, with Traditional and Mainstream as key features, you need a face/heel divide anyway. Doesn't make sense without one. I'd like to see Realism replaced with Modern, shouldn't that make for the same product, or at least a similar? Also, Danger at 0 is completely unrealistic, even the WWE wouldn't have it set that low, and they're banning pretty much every move that only LOOKS dangerous. Set those levels to something like 40/30 or 30/25 or whatever at least and your workers should still be find, I guess.

Danger level refers to head drops and risky flying moves and although I agree that it's unrealistic that is not how I view it. It may be gamey but protecting your talent is key for me and it isn't really important when it comes to a dynasty because again what's stopping us from writing said spot in the match write up? Now I know people stay true to product settings for unpredictability but absolutely nothing is stopping us and again I feel we get too wrapped up in the product and realism when it's the juicy storylines that matter. If EV kicked out a dynasty with pure match write ups, would you be invested? Granted the matches would still be great, but they'd have no purpose beyond hey we can wrestle.

I'm not trying to push my views onto anyone, but I enjoy dynasties for what they are.(at least what they are to me) I'm just not one to get wrapped up in product settings, and I view those setting as sponsorship money :) . Those are the best settings to have when you need sponsorship money and want in ring skill to matter.(IMO) Either way im gonna be reading :D

Edit: Also a face heel divide isn't a necessity because of traditional being a key feature. Again, gamey but it is a game after all and some ppl have an easier time booking when not hit with the face face heel heel penalty. We as readers should be able to tell whose the heel and vice versa. Now I'm gonna shut up forever and stick to my lurking :-D

Reding your opinions and I see most of you are looking for some "cult" style to IMPACT. I acually enjoyed Rocco's product as well, but I'm also looking for a product that doesn't bring so much wear and tear on the workers. Something that would be cool but still safe enough for them.

I was also considering putting the company on the South East region. While the spillover isn't that great, it offers some neutral ground for work, instead of the minefield that is Tri-State and South West.

I was reading your opinions and I see you're looking for a "cult" product. I dig that, but I want the product to still be safe for the workers ( at least 50% of match intensity/danger). I agree with Noobz that protecting your workers its essential to your gameplay, so you can avoid unwanted surprises of injuries.

I was also considering to make the South East region my initial place for the shows. The spillover isn't that great, but I can be worry-free about going to war with other companies.

That was what I was going to say. You could lower Modern to Heavy and you can lower the Intensity and Danger. But I also thought of something, wouldn't we be going at Regional at first anyways? Does it really matter how much wear and tear the workers go through? Unless you plan on holding weekly shows at Regional, the workers will be getting a month break in between shows unless they're touring in Japan as well. But just my two cents on the matter. If everyone else thinks Intensity/Danger should be lowered then by all means go with it

I've realized that I commited a mistake of not explaining the company's size. I'm planning to do a "Local 2 Global" challenge, with a 0/0/0/0 starting company and $10.000 of starting cash.

The 55/55 ratio for heavy Modern can be something to think about. Since I plan to do only montly shows, the workers would have enough time to rest after the next show.

Tomorrow or, maybe, monday, I'll have a lock on the product settings. Thanks for the comments and opinions, people.

Just wanted to say that I look forward to this diary and I will be following and posting along (which is a first since I'm a very intense lurker)

I've finally uploaded IMPACT's info on the company, product and status on the first page, go check it out.

First of all, I want to say thanks for being interested on this project. I really want to make a good dynasty with a decent lenght (so far I've been unlucky, since my playthroughs tend to corrupt after around 1 year so... fingers crossed!!). With the company's product out of the way, it's time to focus on the most important items of a wrestling company: THE TALENT.

In the C-Verse, there's a lot of undiscovered gems and a lot of bombs. While, at first I won't mind the worker's attitude ( altough I'd like to make a good environment backstage ), these are my pre-estabilished "rules" for you to help me choose IMPACT's first roster.

1 - The workers must work and be unknown in USA.

2 - You must choose 8 workers to form the initial roster (I know this will give me the amateur penalty at first, but as the time passes, of course, more people will be part of it)

3 - Here's how I want you to classify your choices

a - 2 main-eventers / great characters / good on the ring

b - 4 midcarders / future talents / talented veterans

c - 2 jobbers / guys who'll get paid for getting beat up

I already have a choice for a road agent: Reese Paige. She has decent psychology and is the cheapest of all unknown-level road agents so she's already a lock. If you want, you could also suggest a referee and an announcing team (2 persons max).

Main eventers

Frankie Dee - He has a nice all around game, high motor, and nice performance skills. He can't talk that well but he's worth the grab.

Kip Keenan - He's the real deal and underrated. I think he and Frankie could make magic and Frankie could learn to talk by sparring with Kip on the mic.

Midcard

Nigel Svensson - Great hand and can be used to teach others.

El Mitico Jr - Great worker and teacher

Jerry Martin - Superbly underrated along with great menace, decent promo skills, and strong performance skills.

KC Glenn - Nough said

Jobbers

Steel - He has the pop to main event a local fed but not the skills. Could be a nice pet project

Bob Casey - Another man who could main event or fit well in the Midcard but unlike Steel he can work. Performance skills the best among the unknowns. I could see him being a place holder before being sapped of his pop.

Announcers

Samuel Curran and Reese Paige as colour. She's on double duty to save money.

Ref

To save money, Charles Hapstander. If not, David Poker

Main Eventers

The Architect

High Flyin' Hawaiian

I tried to choose guys who are fairly inexpensive here -- both James and The Architect should cost under 500k on a P.P.A. The Architect is a great heel --fun to write [and a board favorite] with huge potential as an in-ring talent. As for The High Flyin' Hawaiian, he has potential to burn, but is still very raw in his career -- his SQ and CHA are best, or close to best, for a character his age. As a bonus, both guys start employed with other companies that will hasten their development.

Midcard

Nigel Svennson

Sterling Whitlock

Topher Smith

Ant-Man

I added a tag duo here from Canada -- both of whom have some potential, solid basics and good top-row stats. Svennson is a great teacher for young stars. Whitlock has terrific top-row stats, but he doesn't have the psychology of the other three. All four of these guys should be pretty inexpensive -- and fun to write -- in particular, Nigel is a fan favorite on these boards.

Jobbers

Cal Sanders

Doctor Michael O'Haire

Two older guys with little to no pop and plenty of overness -- both close to or over thirty, both have gimmicky personas -- as for Cal, he'll never rise above the mid card, but Doctor Michael O'Haire could main event with his solid charisma and other skills given time. Both guys have great psychology, solid in-ring skills, and make solid opening acts.

Announcer: Alfonso Garcia -- he's young, good, continues to improve, and signed with QAW, so he'll get another show to improve his stats

Referee: Erin Lawrence -- another young referee, this time for AAA, who has room to grow depending on destiny roll.

Color Commentator: Agree you should do "double spots" here with The Architect, Doctor O'Haire and High Flyin' Hawaiian on commentary depending on who is in the match. If this doesn't work for you--

Color Commentator: Vinny Cruz. He works for QAW, (should be) cheap and has room to grow.
