Predictions:

Night 1

1. Stuka Jr. & The Panther vs. Bobby Z & El Bárbaro Cavernario

comments: Stuka never fails to impress me every time I see him, but I reckon his team is losing here because they will win on Night 2.

2. Kamaitachi vs. Dragon Lee

comments: I need to see this rivalry. By all accounts it's been off the charts.

3. Fuego , Guerrero Maya Jr. & Titán vs. Rey Hechicero , OKUMURA & Virus

comments: I love Fuego. And Titan does stuff in the ring that I've never seen before, he's absolutely incredible.

4. Mistico II , Tiger Mask IV & Jushin Thunder Liger vs. KUSHIDA, BUSHI & Máscara Dorada

comments: Mistico is always put over when he's in Japan.

5. Hiroshi Tanahashi & Volador Jr. vs. Tetsuya Naito & Mephisto

comments: OH, what a match. Naito & Mephisto is a bad-ass team. I see the Faces winning though, that's just the kind of shows these are.

6. Kazuchika Okada, Shinsuke Nakamura & Último Guerrero vs. Hirooki Goto, Katsuyori Shibata & Atlantis

comments: Dream Team. UG is a natural fit there. Atlantis forming a cohesive unit with Goto & Shibata is definitely a stretch. :p

Night 2

1. Round 1: Stuka Jr. & Fuego vs. Bobby Z & El Bárbaro Cavernario

comments: As I said, lose on Night 1, win on Night 2.

2. Round 1: Mistico II & Volador Jr. vs. Mephisto & Rey Hechicero

comments: These boys are finalists already, right?

3. Round 1: Guerrero Maya Jr. & Último Guerrero vs. Titán & Dragon Lee

comments: AFAIK, Titan and Dragon Lee are relatively low on the totem pole. Hence UG going over here.

4. Round 1: Máscara Dorada & Atlantis vs. OKUMURA & Virus

comments: Dream team. I love Virus though, he's bad-ass.

5. Kamaitachi & The Panther vs. Jushin Thunder Liger & Tiger Mask IV

comments:

6. Semi Final: Stuka & Fuego or Bobby & Cavernario vs. Mistico & Volador or Mephisto & Hechicero

comments:

7. Semi Final: Guerreros or Titán & Dragon vs. Dorada & Atlantis or OKUMURA & Virus

comments: I'm going with an all-babyface affair in the Final.

8. Kazuchika Okada, YOSHI-HASHI, Tomohiro Ishii & Shinsuke Nakamura vs. Hirooki Goto, Katsuyori Shibata, Hiroshi Tanahashi & Captain New Japan

comments: Part of me thinks CNJ is there to lose, the other part of me thinks because they lost on Night 1 that they win on Night 2. Ehhhhh.

Fantastica Mania 2016! Night 1 results!

Fantastica Mania Night 1 results! by Dean - 1/14/16

The 2016 NJPW & CMLL Fantastica Mania tour started tonight, and was quite the enjoyable show overall, despite being very top-heavy. The fans struggled with some of the CMLL-only matches, but were very excited for the matches that featured CMLL luchadores with NJPW stars. In a huge victory, KUSHIDA established himself as the top Jr. with a submission victory over Jushin Thunder Liger. In the main event, Kazuchika Okada reaffirmed his dominance, defeating Atlantis with the Rainmaker clothesline.

1. Stuka Jr. http://www.purolove.com/images/logos/small/cmll.jpg & The Panther http://www.purolove.com/images/logos/small/cmll.jpg defeated Bobby Z http://www.purolove.com/images/logos/small/cmll.jpg & El Bárbaro Cavernario http://www.purolove.com/images/logos/small/cmll.jpg (7:54) when the Panther used El Nudo Lagunero on Bobby Z.

A terrible match. The fans did not respond well to four low-level CMLL talents in the ring, despite the in-ring action. The Panther (who is the son of Blue Panther) picked up the win with his father's finisher, which is a standing figure four leglock. Rating: F+.

2. Kamaitachi Return Match: Kamaitachi defeated Dragon Lee http://www.purolove.com/images/logos/small/cmll.jpg (11:57) with a Fisherman's Suplex Hold.

Despite the reputation these two had for putting on great matches in CMLL, they didn't really click here and struggled to get the crowd involved. It might just take the fans some time to get used to these guys, but it was good for Kamaitachi to pick up the win in his return. Rating: E-.

3. Rey Hechicero http://www.purolove.com/images/logos/small/cmll.jpg, OKUMURA http://www.purolove.com/images/logos/small/cmll.jpg & Virus http://www.purolove.com/images/logos/small/cmll.jpg defeated Fuego http://www.purolove.com/images/logos/small/cmll.jpg, Guerrero Maya Jr. http://www.purolove.com/images/logos/small/cmll.jpg & Titán http://www.purolove.com/images/logos/small/cmll.jpg (10:53) when Hechicero used El Conjuro on Maya Jr.

This match started to warm the fans up, as the action in the ring was solid. Despite being only CMLL luchadores, the fans were a bit more intrigued by the bout. The rudos picked up the win when Hechicero used his El Conjuro finisher, which is a swinging backbreaker. Rating: D.

4. KUSHIDA, BUSHI & Máscara Dorada defeated Místico http://www.purolove.com/images/logos/small/cmll.jpg, Tiger Mask IV & Jushin Thunder Liger (14:09) when KUSHIDA used the Hoverboard Lock on Liger.

This match had some good in-ring action, but still wasn't anything special. In one of the most shocking outcomes of the night, KUSHIDA made Liger tap out to his Hoverboard Lock. Rating: C-.

http://i57.photobucket.com/albums/g229/watchxyoxface/00001176_2015_Hiroshi20Tanahashi_NJPW.jpghttp://i57.photobucket.com/albums/g229/watchxyoxface/00002888_2015_Volador20Jr._NJPW.jpghttp://i57.photobucket.com/albums/g229/watchxyoxface/vs.jpg.pnghttp://i57.photobucket.com/albums/g229/watchxyoxface/00003776_2015_Tetsuya20Naito_NJPW.jpghttp://i57.photobucket.com/albums/g229/watchxyoxface/00002806_2015_Mephisto_CMLL.jpg

5. Tetsuya Naito & Mephisto http://www.purolove.com/images/logos/small/cmll.jpg defeated Hiroshi Tanahashi & Volador Jr. http://www.purolove.com/images/logos/small/cmll.jpg (17:06) when Naito used the Destino on Volador Jr.

Los Ingobernables did not secure this victory without some help, as EVIL hit Volador Jr. with the EVIL (an STO) while Naito distracted the referee. Los Ingobernables may continue winning, if they keep up the underhanded tactics. Rating: C.

http://i57.photobucket.com/albums/g229/watchxyoxface/00004324_2015_Kazuchika20Okada_Japan.jpghttp://i57.photobucket.com/albums/g229/watchxyoxface/00000056_2014_Shinsuke20Nakamura_NJPW.jpghttp://i57.photobucket.com/albums/g229/watchxyoxface/00001460_2015_Ultimo20Guerrero_CMLL.jpghttp://i57.photobucket.com/albums/g229/watchxyoxface/vs.jpg.pnghttp://i57.photobucket.com/albums/g229/watchxyoxface/00001577_2014_Hirooki20Goto_NJPW.jpghttp://i57.photobucket.com/albums/g229/watchxyoxface/00001202_2015_katsuyori20shibata_njpw.jpghttp://i57.photobucket.com/albums/g229/watchxyoxface/00000118_2015_Atlantis_CMLL_1.jpg

6. Kazuchika Okada, Shinsuke Nakamura & Último Guerrero http://www.purolove.com/images/logos/small/cmll.jpg defeated Hirooki Goto, Katsuyori Shibata & Atlantis http://www.purolove.com/images/logos/small/cmll.jpg (18:35) when Okada used the Rainmaker on Atlantis.

This was a quality match that really ended the night on a good note. Okada and Goto certainly had some intense confrontations in this contest. However, Okada picked up the victory, using the Rainmaker on Atlantis. Goto and Okada engaged in a stare-down after the match. Rating: B-.

Predictions:

Kijar: 3

Mootinie: 2

Uncrewed: 2

Predictions:

Night 3

1. The Panther , Dragon Lee & Kamaitachi vs. Bobby Z , Nick Jackson & Matt Jackson

comments: Can't imagine Dragon Lee & Kamaitachi staying on the same page though.

2. El Bárbaro Cavernario & OKUMURA vs. Jushin Thunder Liger & Tiger Mask IV

comments: It would be difficult to convince Liger & Tiger that losing here is the right move.

3. Virus & Tomohiro Ishii vs. Guerrero Maya Jr. & Katsuyori Shibata

comments: Virus & Ishii make an interesting team.

4. Stuka Jr. , Fuego , Togi Makabe & Tomoaki Honma vs. Mephisto , Rey Hechicero , Tetsuya Naito & EVIL

comments: On the CMLL side, Memphisto & Hechihero are above Stuka and Fuego, right?

5. Special Singles Match: Último Guerrero vs. Titán

comments: A win for Titan would be massive though.

6. CMLL World Welterweight Title: Máscara Dorada © vs. Místico

comments: Don't know how you're going to swing it but Mistico always seems to go over in Japan.

7. Shinsuke Nakamura, Kazuchika Okada & Volador Jr. vs. Hiroshi Tanahashi, Hirooki Goto & Atlantis

comments: Volador seems a rather unnatural partner for Nak & Okada.

Night 4

1. Bobby Z , OKUMURA & El Bárbaro Cavernario vs. Yohei Komatsu, Sho Tanaka & David Finlay

comments: Losers on Night 3, winners on Night 4.

2. Special Singles Match: Jushin Thunder Liger vs. Kamaitachi

comments: Kamaitachi isn't ready for this kind of rub yet.

3. The Panther & Tiger Mask IV vs. Nick Jackson & Matt Jackson

comments: Losers on Night 3, winners on Night 4.

4. CMLL World Super Lightweight: Virus © vs. Stuka Jr.

comments: Virus is too damn good to lose here. I like Stuka though.

5. Special Eight Man Tag: Kazuchika Okada, Shinsuke Nakamura, Último Guerrero & Guerrero Maya Jr. vs. Togi Makabe, Tomoaki Honma, Dragon Lee & Fuego

comments: Same logic as before, UG is above Dragon Lee & Fuego.

6. Fantastica Mania 2016 Tag Tournament - Final: Máscara Dorada & Atlantis vs. Místico & Volador Jr.

comments: ATLANTISWINSLOL

7. Hiroshi Tanahashi, Titán , Hirooki Goto & Katsuyori Shibata vs. Mephisto , Rey Hechicero , Tetsuya Naito & EVIL

comments: Tour-ending Babyfaces standing tall. ;)

Fantastica Mania 2016! Night 3 results!

Fantastica Mania Night 3 results! by Dean - 1/17/16

The third night of the NJPW & CMLL Fantastica Mania Tour was held in front of 16,000 fans at a sold out Osaka Castle Hall. Overall, the night continued the solid pace of shows the Fantastica Mania Tour has offered. Perhaps the biggest news of the night was the surprise appearance by BUSHI. A masked INGOBERNABLE made his way to the ring with Tetsuya Naito and EVIL, and once the referee was distracted, he removed his mask to reveal himself as BUSHI! He then blew poison mist in the face of Fuego, allowing Naito to pick up the pinfall with the Destino. BUSHI is the newest member of LOS INGOBERNABLES!

1. The Panther http://www.purolove.com/images/logos/small/cmll.jpg, Dragon Lee http://www.purolove.com/images/logos/small/cmll.jpg & Kamaitachi defeated Bobby Z http://www.purolove.com/images/logos/small/cmll.jpg, Nick Jackson & Matt Jackson (11:03) when Kamaitachi used a Fisherman's Suplex Hold on Bobby Z.

The Young Bucks looked good in this match, but their partner was lowest on the totem pole. Rating: C-.

2. Jushin Thunder Liger & Tiger Mask IV defeated El Bárbaro Cavernario http://www.purolove.com/images/logos/small/cmll.jpg & OKUMURA http://www.purolove.com/images/logos/small/cmll.jpg (7:36) when Tiger used a Tiger Suplex on OKUMURA.

Pretty solid for the second match of the night. Liger looked good. Tiger & Liger are stacking up some wins this month, perhaps they translate the success into a shot at the IWGP Jr. Heavyweight Tag Titles? Rating: C+.

3. Virus http://www.purolove.com/images/logos/small/cmll.jpg & Tomohiro Ishii defeated Guerrero Maya Jr. http://www.purolove.com/images/logos/small/cmll.jpg & Katsuyori Shibata (12:45) when Ishii used a Vertical Drop Brainbuster on Maya Jr.

This wasn't as good as the last match, but still had some solid in-ring action. Shibata stood out, and he and Ishii had some decent moments in the ring. Rating: C-.

4. Mephisto http://www.purolove.com/images/logos/small/cmll.jpg, Rey Hechicero http://www.purolove.com/images/logos/small/cmll.jpg, Tetsuya Naito & EVIL defeated Stuka Jr. http://www.purolove.com/images/logos/small/cmll.jpg, Fuego http://www.purolove.com/images/logos/small/cmll.jpg, Togi Makabe & Tomoaki Honma (9:58) when Naito used the Destino on Fuego.

The crowd was a bit upset with the outcome, which saw BUSHI use the poison mist on Fuego. However, Naito and Makabe both looked really good here, while Great Bash Heel did not sit well with LOS INGOBERNABLES' actions. Rating: D+.

http://i57.photobucket.com/albums/g229/watchxyoxface/00001460_2015_Ultimo20Guerrero_CMLL.jpghttp://i57.photobucket.com/albums/g229/watchxyoxface/vs.jpg.pnghttp://i57.photobucket.com/albums/g229/watchxyoxface/00007975_2015_Titan_CMLL.jpg

5. Special Singles Match: Último Guerrero http://www.purolove.com/images/logos/small/cmll.jpg defeated Titán http://www.purolove.com/images/logos/small/cmll.jpg (12:10) with the Guerrero Special.

This was a surprise, as these two really got the crowd going and put on quite the match. Not many expected an upset, but Titán had the crowd believe it for a bit. Rating: B-.

http://i57.photobucket.com/albums/g229/watchxyoxface/94.jpg

http://i57.photobucket.com/albums/g229/watchxyoxface/00007764_2015_Mascara20Dorada_CMLL.jpghttp://i57.photobucket.com/albums/g229/watchxyoxface/vs.jpg.pnghttp://i57.photobucket.com/albums/g229/watchxyoxface/00010125_2015_Mistico_CMLL.jpg

6. CMLL World Welterweight Title: Máscara Dorada © defeated Místico http://www.purolove.com/images/logos/small/cmll.jpg (10:26) with the Dorada Screwdriver (1st defense).

Considering who was in the ring, this was a bit of a letdown. Dorada retained the title, and this was surprisingly his first defense of the belt since winning it on 1/2/15 in CMLL. Rating: C-.

7. Special Six Man Tag: Shinsuke Nakamura, Kazuchika Okada & Volador Jr. http://www.purolove.com/images/logos/small/cmll.jpg defeated Hiroshi Tanahashi, Hirooki Goto & Atlantis http://www.purolove.com/images/logos/small/cmll.jpg (19:03) when Volador Jr. used the Volador Spiral on Atlantis.

This had some great in-ring action but the crowd wasn't too hot. There's so much between Okada, Nakamura, Goto, and Tanahashi, as each combination of the four have their own history. The finish excluded all four, but the tension between Goto and Okada is very high. Rating: B.

My apologies for the delay here! Real life can be quite the headache sometimes. I'd love to be playing every day (wouldn't we all haha) but I've been a bit out of the loop. I have a good feeling I'll be cranking some stuff out in the near future, and have no plans to stop! On the BUSHI angle - some stuff NJPW does is just too good to not copy. I love the idea of BUSHI in LOS INGOBERNABLES so I had no problem doing the same. Night 4 should be posted in a day or so!

News update! Title matches for the New Beginning confirmed!

NJPW news update! by Dean - 1/17/16

Tomorrow night is the last night of the Fantastica Mania Tour, but an NJPW press release has some critical news. As many expected, Máscara Dorada's tenure in NJPW will expire after the Fantastica Mania Tour, as he will return to CMLL. Consequently, his last match in New Japan will be the finals of the Fantastica Mania Tag Tournament tomorrow night. On the other hand, CMLL has agreed to send another luchadore on a year-long excursion to New Japan. 2016 will see
Dragon Lee
as a full-time member of the NJPW roster!

Furthermore, the title matches for the New Beginning cards have been announced. Osaka will be headlined by a Wrestle Kingdom 10 rematch, as AJ Styles defends his newly won IWGP Intercontinental Title against Shinsuke Nakamura. Matt Sydal and Ricochet will defend their Jr. Heavyweight Tag Titles against the former champions reDRagon (who lost without being pinned), and Roppongi Vice (as Rocky Romero made Matt Sydal tap out at New Year Dash!!). Rounding out the card are two NWA World Title matches, as the NWA's Jax Dane defends his Heavyweight strap against Satoshi Kojima, and Tiger Mask IV defends the Jr. Title against BUSHI, the newest INGOBERNABLE.

In Sendai, we will see Hirooki Goto challenge Kazuchika Okada for the IWGP Heavyweight Title! Okada's CHAOS stablemate Tomohiro Ishii defends the NEVER Openweight Title against ROH's Michael Elgin. In a Wrestle Kingdom 10 rematch, Karl Anderson and Doc Gallows look to recapture the IWGP Tag Titles against Togi Makabe and Tomoaki Honma. As for the IWGP Jr. Heavyweight Title, NJPW officials offered a rematch to Kenny Omega, as customary for champions who lost a title. However, Omega refused, proclaiming that he is done "cleaning the trash" of the Jr. Heavyweight division. However, he has assigned a BULLET CLUB stablemate to challenge KUSHIDA - Matt Jackson, of the Young Bucks (as Matt was the victor of the 4 way tag at New Year Dash!! in which TimeSplitters were a part of). New Japan is looking to start 2016 with an amazing New Beginning.

NJPW "The New Beginning in Osaka", 2/11/16 (WPW/NJPW World)

Fantastica Mania Night 4 results! by Dean - 1/18/16

The NJPW & CMLL Fantastica Mania Tour wrapped up in front of 11,500 fans at the Makomanai Stadium. Máscara Dorada and Atlantis won the Tag Tournament for the second year in a row, defeating Místico and Volador Jr. in the finals. After the match, Dorada thanked the Japanese fans and proclaimed he will return to Japan every year for Fantastica Mania to defend his crown as tournament winner! In the main event, Hirooki Goto continued to ascend, as he made Rey Hechicero submit to the Shoryu Kekkai, the seated armbar variant he has recently implemented. Goto takes on Okada at the New Beginning!

The luchadores and the young lions didn't have the best chemistry. OKUMURA's finisher is a Hammerlock DDT, and he used it to pick up the win over the lions. Rating: E+.

2. Special Singles Match: Jushin Thunder Liger defeated Kamaitachi (7:42) with a Vertical Drop Brainbuster.

Solid in-ring work here, and Liger looked great against a younger, faster opponent. He picked up the win pretty quickly here, recovering some momentum after his recent loss to KUSHIDA. Rating: C-.

3. Nick Jackson & Matt Jackson defeated The Panther http://www.purolove.com/images/logos/small/cmll.jpg & Tiger Mask IV (8:44) when Matt pinned the Panther after the More Bang for Your Buck.

Not a bad match. The Tiger and Panther team didn't have much chemistry, which is kind of surprising since they both have whiskers on their masks. They still pulled off one of the better matches of the night. Rating: C+.

This was not a great match. The fans did not get into it at all. Stuka Jr. did get the win, and the fans cheered for the title change. Rating: D-.

There was some good in-ring action here. Dragon Lee will be a nice addition to the NJPW roster. As usual, Nakamura and Okada's performances really stood out. Rating: C+.

Not one of the better matches, but the crowd is usually not into luchadore-only bouts. Dorada repeatedly thanked the fans and praised New Japan after the match, and said he hopes to return again. Rating: C-.

The match of the night, and the only one to crack into the B range. Goto and Tanahashi were great, and the INGOBERNABLES' high jinks (including a mist attempt by new member BUSHI) were not enough to keep Goto down. Rating: B-.

Wow, took a while to get this posted. I'm glad to get this up and running, as some crazy NJPW stuff happened in the interim. With the news of Nakamura and others leaving, I'm not sure what direction to take this dynasty in. I may cut them (the roster is way too large for me to manage in-game, a lot of guys are unhappy for not wrestling) and try to book things/bring in talent who I think would work. Hopefully I can get some more stuff posted in the next week!!

Nakamura and more depart! Updated NJPW cards!

Nakamura and more depart! Updated NJPW cards! by Dean - 1/20/16

In what has been massive news, Shinsuke Nakamura, AJ Styles, Karl Anderson and Doc Gallows have signed contracts with WWE. NJPW officials released a statement saying that the IWGP Intercontinental Title match scheduled for the New Beginning in Osaka will still take place, but that the title will be vacated by the winner. However, it will not remain vacant for long, as the new IWGP Intercontinental Champion will be crowned during this year's New Japan Cup! This will be the first time the New Japan Cup will crown a new champion.

A "Road to the New Beginning" show will be held on January 30th, and will feature special send-off tag matches for the wrestlers who are leaving. All four will compete in their final matches with NJPW at the New Beginning in Osaka.

In addition to those departures, both Yohei Komatsu and Sho Tanaka will be going on excursion to CMLL. They will wrestle a special singles match at "Road to the New Beginning" and will have their final match at the special "Lion's Gate" show on February 25th. "Lion's Gate" is a new NJPW brand that will give young wrestlers from New Japan and other promotions the opportunity to display their skills in the ring. Furthermore, two new NJPW young lions will make their debuts at this event.

In other news, Tetsuya Naito surprisingly spoke with the press to tell them a new member of "LOS INGOBERNABLES" is coming, and that they will be his special tag team partner at the New Beginning in Sendai.

Finally, NJPW will introduce a new championship! The NEVER Openweight Six Man Titles will be crowned on the first of two NJPW & ROH "Honor Rising - Japan 2016" shows, which will be on February 19th and 20th. Toru Yano and two mystery challengers will take on the BULLET CLUB trio of Bad Luck Fale, Tama Tonga and Yujiro Takahashi. It is truly going to be a New Beginning for NJPW!

1. Yohei Komatsu & Sho Tanaka Send-Off Match: Yohei Komatsu & Sho Tanaka vs. Kyle O'Reilly & Bobby Fish

I think I found a happy medium of somewhat altering what I think NJPW could have done with Nakamura and them leaving. I think this should make booking the NJC a lot more interesting. I had to change up the cards a bit but I like where things are going. I am excited to book the ROH and Lion's Gate cards.

Moreover, I am debating whether I should sim the "house shows" that happen so frequently. I might just post text results from those, and keep the pictures and summary for my "NJPW World" shows.

Glad to see this back! Pretty excited to see who will join Naito and the squad. Also bring Bárbaro Cavernario in full time, the King of Caveman Style quickly became my favorite after watching Fantastica Mania :D

Road to the New Beginning results!

Road to the New Beginning results! by Dean - 1/30/16

On a night full of twists and turns, Hirooki Goto's hand was raised as he pinned Shinsuke Nakamura in his farewell match to New Japan. Nakamura shook Goto's hand and thanked the fans for always supporting him. He promised to leave NJPW as IWGP Intercontinental Champion. Yea-Oh!

It also seems like we know who Tetsuya Naito's newest "INGOBERNABLE" will be - after their six man tag, Kamaitachi viciously attacked Nagata while the rest of "LOS INGOBERNABLES" took out Nakanishi. Kamaitach is now "INGOBERNABLE".

Lastly, Kenny Omega proclaimed himself the new leader of BULLET CLUB after the group ambushed AJ Styles upon losing their eight man tag match to the Sekigun team. Omega said he will win the New Japan Cup and rightfully take the Intercontinental Title back to the true BULLET CLUB.

1. Special Singles Match: Sho Tanaka defeated Yohei Komatsu (10:18) with a Boston Crab hold.

Not a good opener. It seems that these two certainly have some work to do. They should be able to learn in CMLL. Rating: E-

http://i57.photobucket.com/albums/g229/watchxyoxface/00007125_2014_YOSHI-HASHI_NJPW.jpghttp://i57.photobucket.com/albums/g229/watchxyoxface/00000122_2014_Gedo_NJPW.jpghttp://i57.photobucket.com/albums/g229/watchxyoxface/vs.jpg.pnghttp://i57.photobucket.com/albums/g229/watchxyoxface/00003389_2013_Captain20New20Japan_NJPW.jpghttp://i57.photobucket.com/albums/g229/watchxyoxface/00000767_2014_Ryusuke20Taguchi_NJPW.jpg

2. Captain New Japan & Ryusuke Taguchi defeated YOSHI-HASHI & Gedo (8:16) when Captain used the Captain Special on Gedo.

Solid bout. Upset win for Captain New Japan! Rating: D.

3. Jushin Thunder Liger & Tiger Mask IV defeated Jay White & Dragon Lee (11:33) when Tiger used a Tiger Suplex hold on White.

Liger really looked good in this match, and his team with TMIV has great chemistry. Dragon Lee looked off his game. He may still be getting acclimated. Rating: C.

4. Tetsuya Naito, EVIL & BUSHI defeated Yuji Nagata, Manabu Nakanishi & Kamaitachi (14:07) when Naito used the Destino on Nakanishi.

Not a bad match. Afterwards, Kamaitachi attacked his veteran teammates and beat them down with LOS INGOBERNABLES. He seems to be the newest member. Rating: C-.

5. Toru Yano, Kazushi Sakuraba, Rocky Romero & Beretta defeated Michael Elgin, Juice Robinson, Matt Sydal & Ricochet (16:27) when Yano used the Akakiri on Robinson.

Yano's Akakiri is a "head and leg hook inside cradle", but it followed the usual low blow. The heat was building between Roppongi Vice and Sydal and Ricochet. Rating: C.

http://i57.photobucket.com/albums/g229/watchxyoxface/00005987_2014_KUSHIDA_NJPW.jpghttp://i57.photobucket.com/albums/g229/watchxyoxface/00000352_2015_Alex20Shelley_NJPW.jpghttp://i57.photobucket.com/albums/g229/watchxyoxface/vs.jpg.pnghttp://i57.photobucket.com/albums/g229/watchxyoxface/00004739_2014_Matt20Jackson_ROH.jpghttp://i57.photobucket.com/albums/g229/watchxyoxface/00004740_2014_Nick20Jackson_ROH.jpg

6. Special Tag Match: Matt Jackson & Nick Jackson defeated KUSHIDA & Alex Shelley (16:09) when Matt pinned Shelley after the Meltzer Driver.

This was a solid contest. Both teams have great chemistry. The Jr. Tag division can still put on great contests. Rating: B-.

7. Special Eight Man Tag: Togi Makabe, Tomoaki Honma, Satoshi Kojima & Hiroyoshi Tenzan defeated AJ Styles, Kenny Omega, Karl Anderson & Doc Gallows (16:23) when Makabe used the King Kong Knee Drop on Gallows.

This was another good match. The big turn came after, when Omega and the rest of BC kicked AJ out of the CLUB. AJ vs. Nakamura will be both of their last matches and it should be a classic. AJ came out of all this looking great. Rating: B-.

http://i57.photobucket.com/albums/g229/watchxyoxface/00001176_2015_Hiroshi20Tanahashi_NJPW.jpghttp://i57.photobucket.com/albums/g229/watchxyoxface/00001577_2014_Hirooki20Goto_NJPW.jpghttp://i57.photobucket.com/albums/g229/watchxyoxface/00001202_2015_katsuyori20shibata_njpw.jpghttp://i57.photobucket.com/albums/g229/watchxyoxface/vs.jpg.pnghttp://i57.photobucket.com/albums/g229/watchxyoxface/00000056_2014_Shinsuke20Nakamura_NJPW.jpghttp://i57.photobucket.com/albums/g229/watchxyoxface/00004324_2015_Kazuchika20Okada_Japan.jpghttp://i57.photobucket.com/albums/g229/watchxyoxface/00001210_2015_tomohiro20ishii_njpw.jpg

8. Shinsuke Nakamura Send-Off Match: Hiroshi Tanahashi, Hirooki Goto & Katsuyori Shibata defeated Shinsuke Nakamura, Kazuchika Okada & Tomohiro Ishii (20:25) when Goto used the Shouten Kai on Nakamura.

Before the match (I'll just let TEW explain it): a video piece is played, 'Up Close and Personal with Shinsuke Nakamura'. In it, Shinsuke Nakamura is interviewed in a 60 Minutes-type of setting, complete with interview and old matches. This was a great contest, one of the better of the year so far. It seemed like a passing of the torch in many ways, as Goto cleanly pinned Nakamura. After the match, Nakamura received a standing ovation. Rating: B.

This was my second best show at a B! I think the great TimeSplitters vs. Young Bucks match helped boost the last two, and I will try this strategy some more. Overall, I know I am running pretty close to the real NJPW script, but I like keeping it realistic and will definitely start slowly putting my own spin on it (like Kamaitachi). Next show is going to be a text-only "house show".

Predictions:

Atticus: 6

Uncrewed: 4

Wolfman: 3

I can definitely get used to doing shows like this. The style is copied straight from the amazing purolove.com which is simple and straight forward. My logic is that these are the "Road to" shows that wouldn't be on NJPW World. Easier to post and pretty fun to book. The New Beginning will absolutely be posted in full format.
