mwalter
When evaluating quarterbacks, what should I do with the "touch passing" rating? I'm not sure exactly what it means. Are quarterbacks rated highly for touch better at certain kinds of passes?
william1993
touch is when you can put air under the ball. Like when you can throw a ball just high enough that it goes between the cornerback and the safety to the receiver, but not so high that it dangles in the air to be intercepted. These are important for deep balls and out routes, as a QB would frequently have to throw the ball across the field and outside to put it just where the WR can catch it. the higher the touch rating, the better the QB can make those kinds of throws
