<p>I dig the style, it works for this time period for sure. It's no Vince McMahon backstage play by play though <img alt=";)" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/wink.png.686f06e511ee1fbf6bdc7d82f6831e53.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p><p>

TAFKAG - <em>Because in 1998, Vader is JTTS.</em></p><p>

Ken Shamrock - <em>Same sort of loss as last week for Marc. Even though at this point in his career he was probably at his most interesting for me. I really liked the TKO and Marvelocity.</em></p><p>

Taka Michinoku - <em>The Little Bastards title lives on!</em></p><p>

3H - <em>New face retains title.</em></p><p>

Steve Austin - <em>Austin no lose.</em></p>

Faarooq - The match that will happen gets set up to happen.

Kane - The Big Red Machine takes down The Former Red Machine.

Taka Michinoku - Keeping that title going.

Goldust - Could see him picking up the IC or Euro belt by the time this gimmick runs it's course.

Cactus/Charlie/3H/Austin - Hunter picks up a win that makes it seem like he may be able to beat Shawn in Texas.

The Light Heavyweight Championship picture is definitely the women's division of this game for me, but I have some interesting things shaping up that I hope people will like.

Backed by The Corporation, the boss is confidence personified. <strong>Tonight, you will witness the pure destructive power of The Corporation, as Shawn Michaels and the new European Champion the Big Boss Man team with the New Age Outlaws to take on Stone Cold Steve Austin, the former European Champion Triple H, Chainsaw Charlie, and Cactus Jack."</strong></p><p> </p><p> <span>http://i1004.photobucket.com/albums/af162/frootloop18/DTA/Faarooq_1.jpg</span></p><p> </p><p> Faarooq surprises everyone by coming out on the stage with a microphone of his own. Week 3 February 1998

No Way Out Of Texas

Our opening video shows all the chaos that has unfolded on Monday Night RAW since Royal Rumble, with Shawn Michaels breaking up D-Generation X to form the Corporation with Vince McMahon, who has booked Kane to face Steve Austin in the main event tonight in a Steel Cage Match for the right to face Shawn Michaels at Wrestlemania!

http://i1004.photobucket.com/albums/af162/frootloop18/DTA/JR.jpghttp://i1004.photobucket.com/albums/af162/frootloop18/DTA/King.jpg

Jim Ross:

Ladies and gentleman, welcome to No Way Out Of Texas! This is going to be a huge night, and there's one thing for certain. There will truly be no way out of the steel cage in our main event as Steve Austin takes on Kane to decide the number one contender for the WWF Championship at Wrestlemania! I'm Jim Ross, joined by my broadcast partner, Jerry 'The King' Lawler!

Jerry Lawler:

We may not always agree on everything, JR, but there's one thing you said that rings true. Tonight is going to be huge! We finally get to see the destruction of The Texas Rattlesnake!

Jim Ross:

That remains to be seen, King. That match will come later on in the night, but we start things off with Tag Team Championship action.

WWF Tag Team Championship

Dumpster Match

Cactus Jack and Chainsaw Charlie vs New Age Outlaws ©

Match Grade: C+

"Oh, you didn't know?" This match starts with the New Age Outlaws bringing down the titular weapon of the match with Road Dogg cutting his usual pre-match promo on their opponents. Jack and Charlie are having none of this, though, and meet them on the outside of the ring, starting a brawl with the Tag Team Champions. The dumpster is used heavily in the early stages of this match to take Charlie out of the equation so that the Outlaws can isolate Cactus. Things aren't pretty for Jack, until Charlie is able to recover and bring a chair into the ring, hitting both Outlaws with it several times to even the score.

Jim Ross: "Remember, King, there's no disqualifications in a dumpster match!"

Jerry Lawler: "How can I remember that, Ross? This is the first one ever!"

A Cactus Clothesline takes both Jack and Road Dogg to the outside of the ring, while Charlie and Gunn battle on the inside. Gunn eventually hits Charlie with the Fame-asser before dumping him inside of the dumpster. Once again, it's a two-on-one situation, but Cactus fare better this time against the champions, and is able to roll the dumpster up the ramp to stop from being locked inside of it. The champions give chase, though, and catch up to him, with Gunn eventually hitting another Fame-asser on Cactus, this time on the steel. Jack is deposited into the dumpster as well, giving the New Age Outlaws the retain.

After the match is over, The Outlaws push the dumpster off of the stage with Cactus Jack and Chainsaw Charlie inside!

Jim Ross: "This is just too far! The New Age Outlaws really crossed the line this time!"

http://i1004.photobucket.com/albums/af162/frootloop18/DTA/KenShamrock.jpg

We see Ken Shamrock backstage. He's greeted by a woman with flowers, who tells him they're from his secret admirer. As he's looking at the note, he's attacked from behind by Goldust!

http://i1004.photobucket.com/albums/af162/frootloop18/DTA/TAFKAGoldust.jpg

Goldust slams Shamrock into the wall before grabbing the flowers and pulling a lead pipe from them! He chokes Shamrock out before standing over him, breathing heavily. "Happy Valentine's Day, Kenny."

We see footage of earlier in the day, as The Corporation arrives to the arena in Vince McMahon's limo.

They are approached by Terri, who asks Shawn's thoughts going into the big double main-event tonight and who he might face at Wrestlemania..

Shawn Michaels: "Terri, when you're as good as Shawn Michaels, you don't need to look forward to Wrestlemania, or even to the main event later on tonight. I just go out there and do what I always do, steal the show. Just like my boy Kane, here, is going to do what he always does, destroy Stone Cold Steve Austin. As far as Wrestlemania goes? Well, we'll cross that bridge when we get to it."

Jim Ross: "Shawn Michaels sure has a lot of confidence heading into this event tonight."

Jerry Lawler: "Why shouldn't he, Ross? He's The Heartbreak Kid. There's no way he's losing tonight!"

European Championship

Owen Hart vs Big Boss Man © w/ Chyna

Match Grade: C-

Due to his allegiance to the Corporation, the European Champion had Chyna at ringside to support him, and she distracted Owen Hart to start the match, allowing Boss Man to get the jump on the former Intercontinental Champion. Boss Man charges Hart in the corner after running the match with his power, but Hart gets his boots in Boss Man's face and takes advantage of the match, grounding the European Champion and using his technical offense to his advantage.

At one point, Hart is able to get Boss Man in the Sharpshooter, only for Chyna to slide Boss Man his nightstick. Chyna gets on the apron to distract the referee, allowing Boss Man to hit Hart below the belt with the Nightstick and a Boss Man Slam for the victory.

A video airs that shows the events between Marc Mero and Sable over recent weeks, with Mero blaming Sable for his losses, and Vader coming to her defense on Monday to set up the match for tonight.

Vader vs 'Marvelous' Marc Mero w/ Sable

Match Grade: C

Mero walks down to the ring with Sable but, upon hearing the crowd react louder for her than for him, he sends her to the backstage area, allowing Vader to get the jump on Mero. Vader has the early advantage due to his power, but Mero fights back with dirty tactics that allow him to gain momentum. Mero tries to lift Vader up for the TKO, but his foot collides with the referee, knocking him to the ground. Vader powerbombs Mero to the mat and both fight to their feet as Sable makes her way back down to the ring,

Sable enters the ring as the crowd goes crazy for her, wondering which superstar she'll attack. Mero commands her to attack Vader, but Sable instead kicks Mero between his legs! Sable leaves the ring as the referee comes back to his feet, seeing Vader hit a Moonsault on Mero for the victory.

Intercontinental Championship

Faarooq vs The Rock ©

This battle is for the Intercontinental Championship, but also for pride as the former leader of the Nation Of Domination battles the man who usurped him. Though no members of The Nation are at ringside for this match after vowing to remain neutral, the events between the two of them have definitely influenced the flavor of this one. Faarooq is obviously the veteran of the two and makes use of that as he faces off against the cocky and brash Rock, but the Intercontinental Champion uses his youth to his advantage as he's able to simply outlast his mentor. The Rock lays Faarooq out on the mat and goes for the People's Elbow, but Faarooq springs up and hits the Dominator on the champion. Before he can make the pin, though

http://i1004.photobucket.com/albums/af162/frootloop18/DTA/MarkHenry.jpg

Mark Henry comes down to the ringside area. Though he doesn't get directly involved in the match, the referee and Faarooq both tell him to go to the back, only for Faarooq to turn around into a Rock Bottom, and The Rock pins him for the victory.

A video airs of the events earlier in the night, where Goldust revealed himself as Ken Shamrock's secret admirer, attacking him from behind. Jim Ross says that Shamrock was so enraged he demanded this match from WWF Commissioner Sergeant Slaughter.

Goldust w/ Luna vs Ken Shamrock

Match Grade; C+

Ken is all but foaming at the mouth as this one starts, hitting Goldust with a series of belly-to-belly suplexes to start the match off. Goldust is in trouble, but Luna's distraction of Shamrock allows him to gain the advantage of Shamrock, and he gets in a series of suggestive offensive moves that make the crowd uncomfortable, and only further enrage Ken. Shamrock gets set up in the corner for Shattered Dreams while Luna distracts the referee, but as Goldust swings his leg for the kick, Shamrock comes out of the corner and catches his leg, turning it into an Ankle Lock! Goldust screams in pain and tries to fight out, but eventually he's forced to submit to the move.

After the match, Shamrock refuses to release the move until the referee literally pulls him off. Ken screams in triumph as he goes to the back, while Luna tends to Goldust.

A video airs that shows all of the people that TAKA Michinoku has defended the Light Heavyweight Championship against, and highlights from each match.

Light Heavyweight Championship

TAKA Michinoku vs Flash Funk

Match Grade: D-

Flash Funk is the one to answer TAKA's open challenge for the Light Heavyweight Championship tonight and, while he puts up the best fight of anybody that has challenged for the belt yet, he still falls victim to a Michinoku Driver after a fairly short contest.

After the match, some high-energy music starts to play over the speakers in the arena, and the crowd pops as they see a masked man enter the arena on the stage...

http://i1004.photobucket.com/albums/af162/frootloop18/DTA/JushinLiger.jpg

Jushin Thunder Liger walks out onto the stage as TAKA Michinoku holds his Light Heavyweight Championship in the ring. Liger makes his way down the entrance ramp, slapping hands with fans on the way until he enters the ring. TAKA holds his belt close to his chest as Liger circles him, only to come face-to-face with the Light Heavyweight Champion. After a few seconds of a tense staredown, Liger bows to TAKA, raises his hand in congratulations. TAKA holds the belt high in the air, and Liger leaves the ring but, as he retreats backwards up the ramp, he points down Michinoku, who simply nods in understanding of what just happened.

Jerry Lawler: "What was that, Ross? He had a perfect opportunity to lay that little shrimp out, and what did he do? He left! This is why the Light Heavyweight Division is worthless."

Jim Ross: The two Japanese competitors obviosuly have a lot of respect for each other, King, and I for one think that's a refreshing change of pace from what we'll see the rest of the night.

We see a video of what has transpired between WWF Champion Shawn Michaels and Triple H leading up to our next match, which will see the former D-Generation X partners face off for the Championship.

WWF Championship

Triple H vs Shawn Michaels © w/ Chyna

Match Grade: B

The referee tries to hold these two apart at the beginning, but things boil over quickly as Triple H unloads on Michaels with a series of right-handed shots to the face. Triple H is, surprisingly to most, able to control much of the early action in this match, until Chyna gets involved, hitting a low blow on the challenger while Michaels distracts the referee. This allows Shawn the advantage, and he uses his time to work over the knees of his opponent, even putting him in a Sharpshooter at one point to the boos of the crowd. Triple H is able to get to the ropes, but again the referee is distracted by the Champion, allowing Chyna to rake Triple H's eyes.

Jim Ross: "That no good Chyna keeps giving Michaels the unfair advantage in this match. Is this the fate of the entire WWF thanks to the Corporation?"

Jerry Lawler: Only those that are stupid enough to cross the boss, JR."

Michaels continues to punish his opponent, slamming him to the mat and going to the top rope for an elbow drop. Triple H shakes the top rope and follows it up with a Superplex. When Triple H goes for the Pedigree, Michaels flips him face-first into the corner, going for Sweet Chin Music, but Triple H dumps him to the outside of the ring. He follows things up with a brawl out there, rolling Michaels into the ring, which only allows Chyna to push Triple H face-first into the steel ring post.

Jim Ross: "Triple H's face is a crimson mask! There's no way he'll be able to continue!"

Continue he does, though, as while the referee argues with Chyna on the outside, Michaels goes for Sweet Chin Music. Triple H ducks, hitting a low blow on Michaels, and following it up with a Pedigree.

The referee is still distracted by Chyna, though, so Triple H isn't able to get the pinfall that the crowd is chanting for. Instead,

http://i1004.photobucket.com/albums/af162/frootloop18/DTA/BigBossManEuro.jpg

Big Boss Man comes into the ring through the crowd. He blasts Triple H in the face with the European Championship, dragging Shawn's arm over the challenger. The referee turns around after Boss Man has left the ring, allowing him to count the 1...2...3!

Triple H is helped out of the ring by referees and security as we see a video that recounts the events between Steve Austin and Kane, which lead us to the steel cage match main event, with Austin's #1 Contender spot on the line!

After the video is over, Michaels rolls out of the ring and takes a spot on the announce desk, saying that he's "going to take a closer look at this match. Championship advantage and all that, right?" As if that wasn't enough, the steel cage lowers and out comes

http://i1004.photobucket.com/albums/af162/frootloop18/DTA/VinceMcMahon.jpg

"Just to be sure there's no outside interference screwing up the main event of this evening, Big Boss Man will be standing at the door to the cage as my special enforcer."

http://i1004.photobucket.com/albums/af162/frootloop18/DTA/Kane.jpghttp://rs1004.pbsrc.com/albums/af162/frootloop18/DTA/PaulBearer.jpg~c100 vs http://i1004.photobucket.com/albums/af162/frootloop18/DTA/SteveAustin.jpg

Steve Austin's Wrestlemania Match On The Line

Kane w/ Paul Bearer vs Steve Austin

Match Grade: B

Steve Austin obviously takes offense to the idea of Big Boss Man on the outside of the ring, starting the match by throwing him into the steel cage several times from the outside before tossing him over the announce table into Shawn Michaels. Kane attacks Austin from behind as he does that, sending Stone Cold into the cage wall a few times before dragging him into the ring to start the match officially. This one is a flurry of fists and feet early on that Kane ends up winning, again sending Stone Cold several times into the unforgiving steel. Kane beats Austin down, but JR points out that he never makes an attempt to leave the cage.

Jim Ross: "Why would you want to face Kane at Wrestlemania, Shawn?"

Shawn Michaels: "You think I'm scared of the big read meat puppet? Ross, Kane may be too stupid to understand the allure of money, but his handler, Paul Bearer isn't. When Kane destroys Austin tonight, he's going to lay down for me at Wrestlemania, and my title reign will continue."

Kane makes several attempts to pin Stone Cold, but Austin refuses to stay down, countering him with a Thesz Press. The fans are solidly behidn their home state hero, who fires up a flurry of offense on Kane, culminating in a Stone Cold Stunner. Before the referee can count the 3, though, Big Boss Man enters the cage and hits Austin in the back of the head with his nightstick. Boss Man chokes Austin out with the baton inside of the ring as Kane attacks him. Satisfied with his work, Boss Man leaves the ring, Kane tries to cover Austin, but yet again Stone Cold kicks out.

http://i1004.photobucket.com/albums/af162/frootloop18/DTA/TripleH.jpg

Triple H has come through the crowd! He attacks Shawn Michaels from behind, sending the WWF Champion across the announce table. Michaels runs from Triple H, with Big Boss Man cutting Triple H off as HBK escapes into the steel cage. Boss Man lays Triple H out on the outside of the ring, while Shawn Michaels lays Steve Austin out with Sweet Chin Music!

The Undertaker shows up in the ring! He's face-to-face with Kane, and Shawn Michaels backs up towards the cage door. Steve Austin recovers and gives chase to Michaels, who runs through the cage door. Boss Man stops Austin from giving chase, but Stone Cold jumps off the steel steps with a Thesz Press on him, following it up with a Stone Cold Stunner. Austin has won the match by escaping the cage, but Michaels has escaped Austin by running through the crowd!

Austin gives chase to Michaels through the crowd, while Undertaker and Kane stare each other down inside of the steel cage. Undertaker unleashes a flurry of fists on his brother, who responds in kind, but Undertaker isn't affected by his brother's counter-attack. Undertaker charges, slamming his body into his brother and knocking the steel cage wall off, sending Kane to the outside of the ring! Undertaker stands tall in the center of the ring as Paul Bearer urges Kane to retreat up the ramp.

Jim Ross: "The Undertaker! It's The Undertaker, by gawd! He's back, and he's got his attention focused on Kane!"

Jerry Lawler: "But he let Austin escape, JR! Austin is going on to face Michaels at Wrestlemania! How could Kane have screwed up so bad!?"

Jim Ross: "I think Kane has bigger things to worry about, King. Regardless, what a night we've seen. And things are sure to only get more heated on the Road to Wrestlemania!"

A wide shot of the Carver-Hawkeye Arena shows 14,000 screaming WWF fans, packed to see the show that's about to happen. "Ladies and gentlemen, what a show we have for you tonight," Jim Ross hypes. "Just twenty-four hours after Steve Austin retained his right to face Shawn Michaels at Wrestlemania, we have another huge Wrestlemania announcement, as Vince McMahon has announced that none other than the baddest man on the planet, "Iron" Mike Tyson will be here on Monday Night RAW, and he will have a role to play at Wrestlemania! On top of that, The Undertaker returned last night to cost Kane the main event, and he'll be here to address his brother, as well!"
