The Rip Chord Invitational, Night 2

Location: WaMu Theater at MSG Attendance: 4,937

Round 2

Greg Black vs. Antonio Del Veccio

Greg Black has been saying that he has been running through the competition easily without even breaking a sweat. During this Antonio Del Veccio comes out and walks directly up to Black and slaps him in the face and takes him to the ground. The referee pulls Del Veccio off of Black and the match finally gets underway. Black is furious demanding that he needs a timeout ignoring this Del Veccio dropkicks Black and picks up Black and delivers a massive back breaker. Del Veccio is in control until He goes for a splash in the corner and misses hitting the turnbuckle after this it was one hundred percent in the favor of Greg Black it ends when he hits a Fade to Black on the outside and allowed Del Veccio to be counted out.

Winner: Greg Black

Mr. Lucha 3 vs. "P-Dawg" Frankie Perez

Mr. Lucha III and Frankie Perez are two high flying fan favorites facing off the two shake hands and are very respectful towards each other. The match is definatly up for match of the night it has insane spots and many dives to the floor. It was a very even bout until Ash Campbell whom Lucha beat last night in the openning round of the tournament. Campbell really kept quiet until the end when Mr. Lucha was going for a springboard and landed on his headed. Perez did not see this and when he got up he hit Perfect Parity and got the win. we see Campbell laughing as he walks up the walkway.

Winner: "P-Dawg" Frankie Perez

Hollywood Bret Starr vs. Dean Waldorf

Dean Waldorf took the Mid Atlantic Champion to his very limit with Starr only could put Waldorff away with a Starr Maker on his title after he "accidentally" knocked Matthew White to the ground and when he got up he counted the three and Starr moves on to the Semi Finals.

Winner: Hollywood Bret Starr

Roger Cage vs. Jake Idol

Cage comes out and tries to shake Idol's hand but Idol just throws some change in Cage's face. Infuriated Cage tackles Idol to the ground and doesn't let up until the referee is up to a four count. Idol gets in some offense as he low blows Cage and goes for a school boy he gets a 2.9 and is furious with the referee slapping him in the face. The ref goes to throw the match out but as he does Cage comes up behind him and hits Cage Rage on Idol and getting maybe a deserved fast count.

Winner: Roger Cage

Hell's Bouncer vs. Teddy Powell

This match while Short was very violent as we see the PSW National Champion take on Hell's Bouncer the match is very hard hitting and goes until Powell is slipped from the top rope and landed through the time keepers table leading to the referee counting Powell out as Karren Killer restrained Hell's Bouncer from going out and finishing Powell

Winner: Hell's Bouncer

Giant Brody vs. Steve Flash

Flash comes out bandaged up and looks a little bruised from Andrew Harper last night. Flash looks maybe a step slow and this allows Brody to completely desimate Flash. This continues until Brody takes the padding off of the turnbuckle and whips Flash into it. All of a sudden the lights go out and Carlos Gonzalez's music hits. Brody seems a little shaken but goes to deliver an avalanche to Flash but he moves out of a way. Brody goes crashing into the turnbuckle Flash hits the Flash Bang picks up the win and moves one step closer to the COTT World Heavyweight Championship

Winner: Steve Flash

Mikey James vs. Jackpot Jordan

Jordan rolls back in distracting the ref while his manager Playboy Jake Sawyer hits James with his cane he goes to do it again Mikey sees an opening and delivers a Scythe kick to Sawyer. Mikey rolls into the ring and the match is finally underway. While he starts with the advantage without Sawyer there to guide him Jordan quickly starts to show that while talented he is still very inexperienced in his career. Mikey goes on to take the youngster to school and ends this after hitting a Scythe Kick for the win.

Winner: Mikey James

Mean Jean Cattley vs. Nelson Callum

This is the main event of the night Mean Jean Cattley the cornerstone of the MAW vs. Nelson Callum, one of PSW's fastest rising stars. The match for most of it is extremely closely contested. Towards the end Cattley has Callum set up for the Mood Swing until Callom's tag team partner Ash Campbell runs out and jumps into the ring Cattley goes over and hits him with a dropkick while the referee is trying to get Campbell out of the ring Callum comes over and low blows Cattley and locks in the Honey Trap causing Cattley to submit.

Winner: Nelson Callum

After the match Callum and Campbell The Philly Blondes continue beating down Cattley

After what seems to be an eternity help finally arives in the terms of... Mr. Lucha III. He comes out and like a house of fire and clears the ring helping Cattley up.

The COTT Commissioner Dread comes out and says that since the Philly Blondes seem to have a problem with Cattley and Lucha we will have them in a tag team match next month at Valentine's Day Massacre the Philly Blondes are visibly upset
