I'm not used to that, so whenever I try, my matches suck. Even with a guy that's 93 pop across Japan, against a guy that's 78 across Japan, both pretty good in the ring, scores a 75. Every show loses me popularity, so I'm getting frustrated and going back to my entertainment fed saves. BHOTWG also goes against everything I stand for, wrestling wise, with no gimmicks and no storylines. So every TV-show and event is just randomly booked matches all the time. But I keep getting drawn back to more frustration... </div></blockquote><p> </p><p> Not quite accurate. You can play around with the product a bit to accept gimmicks, but really both gimmicks and storylines are very much present in puroresu. You just have to look at it a bit more in a sports-centric mindset than an entertainment mindset. </p><p> </p><p> So here's an example. BHOTWG has two weight classes, Heavy and Junior. Each division has it's own titles, and both sides can theoretically compete in the King of Fighters scene. So you look at both divisions, and decide the following:</p><p> </p><p> </p><ul><li> Who are the top 5 wrestlers in each division?<br /></li><li> Who are the top tag teams in each division?<br /></li><li> Who are the future top wrestlers of either division?<br /></li><li> Who do I want to sign to the company to be those future top wrestlers?<br /></li></ul><p></p><p> </p><p> Once you have that sorted, you have the foundation of your booking. </p><p> </p><p> Next, you consider the medium. As someone who has live weekly wrestling, you don't have to really think about multiman matches in a NJPW-style format. You have house shows to sort of sim that for you, trading wins back and forth. </p><p> </p><p> So, you have 4 weeks of television, leading up to a PPV. Book the PPV first, and then work your way back to the start. Each tv episode should lead to the PPV, create interesting angles and matches. Angles built on simple one minute hype video, one minute quick comments post match, etc... won't tank the overall grade. </p><p> </p><p> The storylines are very simple. Does someone have a championship? Well, someone else wants that championship. Is someone a famous masked wrestler? Well, someone else might want to take their mask. Is someone losing a lot of matches? Maybe a friend offers to help them out, or an enemy mocks them, building tension for months as they pursue their own careers until they meet again. </p><p> </p><p> The key is not to book every wrestler in an angle or storyline. What you need to do is focus on the top half of the company, the half you've decided is important beforehand. The other half are the career journeyman, the declining veterans, the greenhorn young lions. Those guys eat pinfalls. Those guys are warm bodies. Those guys are the background to your main cast. </p><p> </p><p> </p><blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="41359" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div><p> Plus, and I know this is not the C-Verse, but in my NJPW save, it says under product that it attracts people who will be put off by low risk matches, which means the common 1 vs 1, 2 vs 2 and 3 vs 3. Gonna be a nightmare to book then! (I have changed them all from having very low risk to having low risk). Maybe that was why I couldn't get a decent grade last time around.</p></div></blockquote><p> </p><p> Yeah, the product plays a bit finnicky with matches. You really have to modify matches for each product design.</p>

The way puro companies tour IRL isn't reflected by the way touring companies work in TEW so you can pretty much ignore that bit anyways. </p><p> </p><p> You have such a massive roster I'd add a second or third show if I was BHOTWG. I especially think its easier to get guys to have improved performances over time without necessarily pushing them than it would be in a pop company since while your jobber's pop may not be going up, they're probably getting better and better in the ring.</p>

Again, that's because I've never played a serious game that's perf > pop.</p>

<p>Looking at the BHOTWG roster right now, and I've decided that I'm setting up BHOTWG USA in my edits to the default database with Elemental and Optimus as the ownership duo. I'm gonna pop them in Hawaii or Southwest (since I'm moving TCW to the Mid-South), and move out most of the oldies to the new roster and then add in some guys from the independents plus the Big US 3. </p><p> </p><p>

The guys below are gonna be the ones coming over from Japan, but does anyone have any suggestions for US recruits? </p><p> </p><p>

1. Bairei Yasujiro</p><p>

<p><strong>So this is going to be a ridiculously long post as I put together everything I've been doing in my BHOTWG for almost 3 years. Get coffee now if you actually want to make it through reading all this. </strong><img alt=":p" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/tongue.png.ceb643b2956793497cef30b0e944be28.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><strong> I'm also going to be posting it in the BHOTWG thread and the What's Going On In Your Game threads, so don't read both of them. </strong><img alt=":p" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/tongue.png.ceb643b2956793497cef30b0e944be28.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p><p>

First up... I've been watching a lot of NJPW over the last 2 years so I wanted to un a company like them and I've never quite managed to get into a BHOTWG long term so my plan was to run BHOTWG like they are NJPW. First up, I switched back to the touring schedule as it made it easy to organise tours and talent. My tours run February to April, June to August and October to December. We have major events at the start, middle and end of each tour with major tournaments becoming the major focus of the company.</p><p> </p><p>

After our first major PPV of the year we have the Summit Challenge, which is our G1 Climax. 2 blocks of 10 men in a round robin format, the winners of each block face off in our March event. The winner goes on to challenge the World champion in October at Night Of The Burning Hammer, making a couple of defences on the way. We run the Junior Tag League in April, with 10 teams of Junior wrestlers facing off in round robin format and the top two facing off again to determine the winner. I've had the winners of this challenge for the Jr Tag belts at Night Of The Burning Hammer but I've also had them get a shot sooner.... so no real consistency there. </p><p> </p><p>

Our second tour kicks off in June with another big event set up by a couple of small shows... then we launch into the Best Of Super Juniors, which I hae been running with 2 blocks of 10 in a round robin format too, making it larger than the real one. This has had some ridiculous success for me as we have a lot of the best Junior wrestlers in the world and the winner of each block again faces off to determine the tournament winner, who also goes on to NotBH to challenge the champion. For the first two years this tour wrapped up with the Heavyweight Tag League, pitting 10 teams against each other in a round robin format with the top two facing off again. In the third year I rebranded this to the Ultimate Tag League and expanded it to include Jr teams and at some borrowed teams to have 2 blocks of 10 in a round robin format, with the winner of each block facing each other again to challenge any tag champions they are eligible to face (more on that later).</p><p> </p><p>

This all sets up for Night Of The Burning Hammer at the start of the October-December tour, our biggest night of the year. With most of the title matches already set thanks to the various tournaments it is also where personal rivalries are raised to the highest level and grudges are settled based on events so far. After this event we have the Kitozon Cup, an annual giant tournament in honour of BHOTWG legend Master Kitozon. The event has been 64 men each year and has seen many talents loaned in to make it particularly epic. The second year also saw me introduce a Young Lions cup where 8 of my youngsters compete to give themselves something to elevate them and perhaps get a shot at one of the other titles too. The winner of the Kitozon Cup gets a World title match at the start of our February tour, which is technically our second biggest show of the year.</p><p> </p><p>

No matter what time of year it is, my regular tour shows have 10 matches per show (a lot, I know) with half of them generally being tournament matches of some kind and the other half being multi man matches where my various stables tend to face off to hype various upcoming matches I have and to generally keep them busy. I realised I was having some issues with my young lions getting too popular by appearing on the main show, so they have mostly been relegated to pre-show matches whenever they get used, which is fairly often to help them learn while also keeping them at Enhancement Talent level so that their momentum doesn't suffer. It's worked out pretty well for me since I adopted that position, with my newer talents that I actually want to push now able to get past the young lions quickly and establish themselves on the main roster.</p><p> </p><p>

......</p><p> </p><p>

So that's the rough structure of the company under me. I'm playing as owner/booker Tadiyuki Kikkawa, just because I wanted to have fun with him. He started six or seven years into Time Decline unfortunately so one of my first plans was how to phase him out as figurehead and champion. With his stable Kikkawa Army by his side, he had canon allies in people like Tasuku Iesada (freelancer who comes and goes, also now in decline) and Masaaki Okazaki (even further into decline at 10 years). I can't remember who else was there in canon but in my game I had Heihachiro Sakai being mentored as par of the group to explain his massive improvements over the last few years, along with Hirokumi Saito and VENOM. Yoshii Shiomi was VENOM's partner but not part of the group... and this was part of the early story. The junior members, VENOM and Shiomi were both struggling and were given an ultimatum... win BOSJ or get booted. VENOM was nowhere near winning and a furious Kikkawa beat him up so bad that he was never really the same... this led to some tensions in the group, but Kikkawa replaced VENOM with some new Junior talents... Reaver became the top ranked Junior in the group, with Musashi being a new local member who would regular tour with the company... last but not least was Chess Maniac (who has become Chess King now), bringing some technical expertise to the group.</p><p> </p><p>

Less than a year later, Hirokumi Saito suffered a similar fate and without his mentor Tasuku Iesada around to help (he left due to freelance status) Kikkawa murdered him out of the company and replaced him with a couple of heavyweights that he had seen learn a lot in INSPITE... Morimasa Kato and Hitomaro Suzuki. But Kikkawa was no longer champion by this point and the struggle of trying to get back to the top was taking a toll on him mentally, causing himi to get more aggressive and lash out at allies as well as anyone who had any degree of success against the Kikkawa Army. The rise of Heihachiro Sakai has also plagued Kikkawa, with his success coinciding with Kikkawa's downward turn.... Sakai won the first Kitozon Cup and defeated Kinnojo Horri for the title (Horri had beaten Kikkawa for the belt and won the rematch), and had a strong year where he defeated various other Kikkawa Army members in tournament action. This spiraled into the third year where Kikkawa opted not to compete in the Summit Challenge (in reality, he can't handle the schedule) which drew the ire of Sakai who thought the group's leader should be involved in a major competitioin like that. Throughout the year Sakai has also railed at Kikkawa's treatment of Suzuki and Kato, with Kikkawa regularly punishing them after losses... this caused Kato to quit (I let his contract expire by accident) and soon Tasuku Iesada was given the same treatment... Iesada was Sakai's mentor and Kikkawa's close ally, so to see Kikkawa stab him in the back triggered the real breakdown of the Sakai-Kikkawa relationship, made worse by Sakai winning the title for the second time before Best Of Super Juniors. With the group mostly limited to multi man matches, Kikkawa and Sakai couldn't be on the same team... and whenever Kikkawa wrestled, they lost... whenever Sakai was on the team, they won... Sakai has also personally pushed for Suzuki to get more chances, finally getting some singles matches to showcase his skills (he has developed really well) which Kikkawa feels is an insult to his leadership... this finally came to a head at the end of our summer tour when Kikkawa deliberately cost Sakai the title, causing him to lose to major rival Yasuhiko Taira (his second reign in this save). Kikkawa went nuts, beating the ever loving crap out of Sakai to set up their bitter grudge match at Night Of The Burning Hammer 2018. Sakai will obviously win and Kikkawa has already been removed as figurehead.... the fall out will see Sakai give everyone an ultimatum. Follow him or follow the broken Tadiyuki Kikkawa... Musashi has already left (I made him furious with a loss during BOSJ and another recent one), Masaaki Okazaki is going into a veteran trainer status where he just teams with youngsters, Chess King will go it alone, Reaver is on his way out of the company (about to hit time decline, I think and has low skill caps), while Hitomaro Suzuki will continue his fledgling team with Sakai that has been going well so far. Kikkawa will move into a role where he rarely wrestles, mostly acting as a spokeman for the company having put over a new star, dissolved his stable and moved himself down the card. Job done. <img alt=":)" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/smile.png.142cfa0a1cd2925c0463c1d00f499df2.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p><p>

The original babyface group of the company was the BHOTWG loyal group I dubbed "Battle Forged". Led by Hiroaki Nakasawa and Elemental III, along with Nakasawa's protege Atsomri Takemura, they originally also had Chuichi Sanda and Eiji Hamacho as heavyweights and The Awesome Kiyaru and Jin Miyamoto on the junior side... the line up has changed significantly though as the veterans (Sanda, Hamacho, Kiyaru) were all so far into decline that I just couldn't keep them around while Jin capped fairly low and was allowed to leave when his contract came up. Replacing them has been PGHW team Brute Kikuchi and BISON Yano on the heavyweight side, and also potentially the greatest Junior in the world, the exciting Kamikaze (who I book a little like Will Ospreay)... this group is generally close to championship gold at all times with Nakasawa winning the 2018 Summit Challenge and the 2017 Heavyweight Tag League with Takemura (they were also team of the year)... they have been a little light on storylines (except for E3) though, but the decreasing amount of BHOTWG loyalists in the group makes me tempted to consider turning them heel (at least in my mind) somewhere in the future.</p><p> </p><p>

As for Elemental III, he has been one of the focal points of the Junior division. Originally it was all about the elite guys in the division, who I collectively dubbed "The Four Pillars". They are Elemental III, Sensational Dragon, Marihito Masuko and MYSTIC Dragon. They generally coexisted peacefully as competitive rivals but that has turned into a war. It began with the 2016 Jr Tag League when each man took on a tag partner for the tournament (none had regular partners) in an effort to beat each other... Elemental teamed with Jin Miyamoto, Marihito Masuko teamed with internatioal star Hijo Del Relampago, Sensational Dragon teamed with Helikaon (KC Glenn) and the eventual winners were MYSTIC Dragon and new recruit Tsuneyo Yanagimoto. While credit was given, Sensational Dragon began to goad MYSTIC... saying he was the worst of the Four Pillars and could never win the BOSJ.... at first this didn't seem to matter, but over the course of the next 12 months and with MYSTIC repeatedly falling short the cracks were showing... losing the Jr tag titles, losing in the first round of the Kitozon Cup, losing to most of the other 4 Pillars in the 2017 BOSJ on his way to a lower half finish (won by first time entrant, Velocidad)... he finally snapped and agreed to put his status as one of the Four Pillars on the line against Sensational Dragon, who was relentless in his taunting of MYSTIC. At Night Of The Burning Hammer 2017 Velocidad beat Elemental III to cement his status as one of BHOTWG's greatest Junior wresters and on the same night we saw Sensational Dragon defeat MYSTIC Dragon in an epic match. MYSTIC Dragon would then disappear from the coompany completely... and at the same time a new star would show up in our Mexican child company, Truth Elemental. The Kitozon Cup saw the continued rise of another Jr star, KC Glenn... he had ditched his BHOTWG moniker and joined with the Tempest Society (our Bullet Club, more on that later) and his team with COTT champion Roderick Remus (dominant in the Jr division as 2017 and 2018 Jr Tag League winners and Jr Tag champs), KC also made it to the final of the 2017 Kitozon Cup avenging a major loss to Sensational Dragon from 2016's event. The 2018 BOSJ event was... epic, to say the least. With Elemental III, Sensational Dragon, Truth Elemental, KC Glenn, Velocidad, Marihito Masuko, a rising Masa Kurata and Razan Okamoto all on fire througout.... KC Glenn (already Jr tag champ and Jr tag leage winner in 2018) almost swept the field to set up a clash at Night Of The Burning Hammer with Velocidad... these two men have met twice in singles action before... KC won in the 2017 Kitozon Cup match and Velocidad won in the resulting title defence in 2018, with both matches rated 100. Also set for the show as the result of Ultimate Tag League fallout is a super rare three way match... Sensational Dragon vs Elemental III vs Truth Elemental. Truth has back up in his stable "The Truth", made up of Jonathan Faust (we bought out 21CW), Stealth Z and Crimson Ghost (young lions back from my Mexican child company) and made his presence felt as he cost Sensational Dragon his title match, while also attacking Elemental III who returned from an injury incurred in BOSJ... those two matches will surely be electric.</p><p> </p><p>

Another stable we have on the roster formed around Kinnojo Horri and his imutable ability to keep on fighting no matter what. He won the original Summit Challenge in 2016 and went on to beat Tadiyuki Kikkawa for the gold at Night Of The Burning Hammer, leading us into what I call "The Aceless Era". In reality, this Aceless Era is just a period of a few years where I am deliberatley ensuring that no World champion holds the title for long as a way to make it seem like everyone is all on the same, hopefully world class, level. Horri is portrayed as a natural leader (similar to real life Hiroshi Tanahashi) but without as much skill obviously... his heart and leadership saw him get closer to Tadakuni Toshusai, who is sper charismatic, odd and funny... Tadakuni is booked for me like a more talented Toru Yano and has had some big wins and even title matches... but never quite makes it all the way. Horri and Toshusai lost in the final of the 2016 and 2017 heavyweight tag leagues, before winning it in 2018 to set up an epic title match with The Melbourne Blondes for NotBH. But... the group itself is made up of people who just seem to need an extra boost of leadership to succeed and is very much a babyface group. Kinnojo leads, Tadakuni talks, Nissho Yuasa continues to develop even though he will never be world class and the former Junior tag champs Kansuke Konda and Hyosuke Kokan found a new lease on life when they joined up following some crushing defeats. Hyosuke was the legit MVP of the 2018 BOSJ, averaging a 99 match rating across his 9 matches. You read that right. Joint highest of anyone with Yasuhiko Taira also getting a 99 average in the 2018 Summit Challenge. The group also had Rokeumon Matsushita for a while as Nissho's partner, but his skills caps were low so he's been shipped off to development hell, currently in Australia. The group is also one of the few stables that I book to team with people outside the group, usually unaligned babyface type characters that need partners for matches between tournaments. They have fought and often lost many matches to Kikkawa Army and I really undervalue them as a group because they have been great. Oh.... and this stable is called "Grasp-Creation", being a rough translation of what happens when people aim high and try to achieve their dreams.</p><p> </p><p>

So... Tempest Society. I mentioned them a while back as being my Bullet Club. They are made up of North American workers and have proven themselves to be great wrestlers but are undoubtedly heels and have been the only group known for regularly interupting matches and cheating to win. I had always planned to have a group like this and it started when I got Shooter Sean Deeley and Jack Marlowe within days of each other. They both competed for the newly minted alliance title, the Burning Intercontinental title, but both came up short. Shortly after that Atom Smasher's contract came up too, giving me a true team in Jack and Atom which was cool. And then, just before Night of the Burning Hammer 2016 we got Angry Gilmore, who I installed as official leader of the group. They kept disrupting matches and Gilmore kept demanding title matches, eventually finishing as runner up for the 2017 Summit Challenge and spinning it into a title opportunity where he more or less stole the belt from Heihachiro Sakai. Also recruiting KC Glenn away from BHOTWG due to seeing his amazing potential, and signing up 2016 Sam Keith Classic winner Roderick Remus and Greg Gauge (which is a cool team because they are both twins!) the Tempest Society soon had some of the hottest talents around and a bad influence to lead them. The only non-standard match in the company that we have had was an Angry Gilmore title defence against Sakai in 2017, where a cage was used to keep people out... Gilmore won that but lost at NotBH to Yasuhiko Taira who had defeated him for the Summit challenge months prior. The group has gone on to be amazing... Gauge and Deeley are a sublime tag team, with Remus and Glenn being dominant in the Jr tag division too. Gilmore is always around the title hunt too, while Jack and Atom have been consistent thanks to 100 tag experience even though Jack has hit time decline. They have generally fedued with Grasp-Creation and the very exciting NEO stable....</p><p> </p><p>

NEO start the game as a three man group consisting of Koshiro Ino, Yasuhiko Taira and Yasunobu Masuno. I started off booking all three of them as potential world champions which led to them being booked very strongly, partticularly against the Kikkawa Army. But they have to lose sometimes... so near the end of 2016 I had them go on a recruiting drive and they had three midcarders to the group. Ieyoshi Shimakage, who is a cocky youngster with strong charisma.. and the team of PUNK Nasty Club, "Bad Boy" Kazunoru Yamura and Toju Munkata. All of them have developed really well and could win secondary title now, with PUNK Nasty Club being one of my star tag teams at 100 experience and with Toju bulking up to fit the heavyweight division unexpectedly. This team has feuded on and off with Kikkawa Army for the entire game so far along with the Tempest Society for a while.. but when they added Haruki Kudo to the group as a mentor (as he is for Koshiro Ino, who is in time decline since game start but was still the first IC champion) things really kicked off with their main rivals... the Golden Lions.</p><p> </p><p>

So, I bought out GCG and stole all their good stuff. <img alt=":p" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/tongue.png.ceb643b2956793497cef30b0e944be28.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /> The tsunami narrative hurt Japan a lot and I already have PGHW as a child company (in an alliance with NOBPW and TCW too), so when both BCG nd GCG became available to buy out after Night of the Burning Hammer 2017 I made BCG a small child company and took the GCG talent. I've been loaning in talent from PGHW to make things more interesting but I like them as a company... once I bought out PGHW, they actually started making money and are now at 82 pop across Japan (but still cult) so I al leaving them with their core talents. GCG didn't fare so well... so I signed most of their top guys and created the Golden Lions. The GCG titles are all still active too, active as secondary and tertiary belts but are sill at very high prestige due to the depth of quality I have on the roster. Kudo continues to be in a position of authorty over the GCG belts, while the Golden Lions came in holding most of them (KAZ held the Openweight title and he is with someone else). Hiroyasu Gakusha, Toshiharu Hyobanshi, SUKI, Takayuki 2000, Kiminobu Kuroki (the douchenozzle), Mabuchi Furusawa and Namboku Makuda make up the group. Hyobanshi was quickly injured with a broken neck that saw him replaced as tag champ, while Gakusha unseated SUKI for the singles gold. There have been a lot of interactions with NEO but the Golden Lions seem to prevail when it matters the most... over the course of a year Gakusha has beaten most of the stable to retain his singles title but an even more epic match is coming at Night Of The Burning Hammer, one that merges GCG history with the ongoing BCG rivalry... Funakoshi has challenged Gakusha for the title and Kudo has made the match. The two have clashed in tag matches many times with Funakoshi having more of the wins... at Night of the Burning Hammer, BCG and GCG clash for a major title and this is just one month removed from Gakusha retaining against Mabuchi Furusawa at The Golden Kingdom (I kept the event name for the end of August event) here Mabuchi emotionally lost his shot at the title that his father had fought for, at the event he masterminded, for the company he loved... in my head, it was epic.</p><p> </p><p>

So... Rebellion-Gun. This stable started off as The Rebellion (Natsu Miyamae and Ken Shimedzu) giving back to BHOTWG by mentoring a promising tag team. That team was Matthew Keith and Tatsuya Toshitala, who have gone on to become some of the top guys in the company. Keith is a two time holder of the IC title and has travelled the world with it, while the team have come close to tag gold many times. Sadly, due to age both of the Rebellion have moved on but joining the group (with their blessing) was a team inspired to get into wrestling by them, The Rebel Alliance, KAZ and Eien Miyamoto. The two youngsters have been on BHOTWG's radar and this finally got them all the way there, with KAZ bringing the GCG Openweight title along with him which he quickly lost to Chess Maniac (this win changed his name to Chess King), who in turn lost to Raymond Diaz who has had a lot of fun destroying people for the title which is defended more often than my other titles. Rebellion-Gun are all good enough that they could win major titles, with Matthew in particular looking like a world champion in the next few years. Mostly avoiding the Tempest Society due to the brotherly link between Matthew and Greg, they seem destined to clash soon. So far they have only met in multi man matches, with a tag time liit draw in the 2018 Ultimate Tag League being the most interaction they have had in the company despite being on the same roster fo rmore than 2 years. I'm considering them clashing at NotBH 2019 for a singles match.... but we'll see.</p><p> </p><p>

We aso recently bought out 21CW and absorbed them too... I was torn between keeping them as a child company (with all those benefits) or buying them out, which would take me to international size... after a vote on a facebook group, I bought them out and went International. This also prompted me to open a bunch more child companies around the world, while giving me access to Tommy Cornell. Ooooooh, Tommy... who recently improved his look and went to 100 star quality while now being the most popular wrestler in the world thanks to me. I'd make him a figurehead if it didn't look like he was about to hit deline with his sex appeal already falling. He is looking to reinvent The Syndicate but while making it more about him. His group is The Cornell Dynasty and feature himself, new IC champion Edward Cornell and recently turned-on-his-tag-partner 21CW UK Champion Leigh Burton. The Cornells managed to beat all three sets of tag champions in the company during the Ultimate Tag League (BHOTWG Melbourne Blondes ; GCG Takauyuki 2000/SUKI ; Junior KC Glenn/Roderick Remus) but failed to win their block... Tommy made an open challenge to the best in the world to face him at Night Of The Burning Hammer 2018 and it has been answered by the 2017 Kitozon Cup winner, PGHW's own Yoshimi Mushashibo. And while Tommy is clearly going to win this one, it's going to be the greatest match of all time. Anything less than 100 is a disappointment as neither of these men are on decline yet. This sets up Tommy for a Burning title match and could give the group a lot of gold as I'm considering putting the title on him.</p><p> </p><p>

There are also a lot of talents that float around without alliances. Mitsunari Fugunaga was rebranded as TANK Fugunaga after a size change gone wrong... he has been a constant nemesis of Kikkawa Army, often teaming with the likes of Eisaku Hoshino (when he is around, freelancer), Buddy Garner (who just left the company, on decline), Raymond Diaz, Funakoshi, Gonkuro Kamioka (who has developed well) and Fujio Narahashi (who is a midcard ace for me just now). If anyone needs a partner, these guys can generally count on each other to come together and get the job done fairly well... sure, the stables will generally beat them but they do well. Simon Flemmingway and Totoya Munakata also feature regularly with these guys at heavyweight despite being juniors, generally trying to learn technical skills from Garner before he left...</p><p> </p><p>

We also have one last semi-comedic stable for the undercard, that I call the Okakura-Miwako Gods or "OMG!". They have had a few cast members come and go already but the core is Pretty Okakura (who is loyal elsewhere), Miwako Katsukara (the sexiest girl I could get at the time of debut) and a variety of people with high sex appeal that are trying to get into BHOTWG. Currently in the group alongside them are Kirk Jameson and La Estrella, who are both very talented. The group mostly loses but is a way for people to get their foot in the door before turning on the leaders and moving up as new blood comes in... there are a lot of people in development who could fit the bill here (I'm playing with no fog of war, which is rare for me) with Kian Owens in my Aussie child company having 100 sex appeal and a lot of talent, he could be next.</p><p> </p><p>

In case people ask, I created a template for organising tournament blocks, with a 8 and 10 person version just in case I need them. I also track match ratings for tournament matches to see who is actually performing well, though I didn't do that in the first year. It's kinda handy, and I might add it to my google docs to share if anyone has read far enough down to see this, though it is a little clunky. The tournaments with two blocks alternate nights on which they are active, with hype videos covering their appearances on the nights they are off which tend to provide a bit of extra entertainment skills and overness. We usually run 3 shows a week whlie we are active too, which works out to around 100 shows a year given that I tend to relax that a little during the Kitozon Cup stage of the year. It's quite intensive but the tournament parts are the easiest to book as I can just look at my file to see what matches are next. We also have a very large roster with even more people sitting in development wanting to be called up. I get around 20 emails a day, with most of those being from development people but I only call people up when I have something for them to do. My alliance blocks me from adding my various child companies to it but with PGHW already being mine and NOTBPW slowly edging down towards cult with their ageing roster and already in debt, I think I might just boot TCW and add all the kids... that way I can loan a bunch of my workers out to them, then send them on holiday at my end... that keeps them active and helps the little ones grow larger wthout upseting my own roser. Plus I can commit to adding more alliance titles like I have wanted to do for a while... they are fun and are a good way to spread some good talent around the world which is really what I want to do with my global expansion. I also plan to run some cross promotional type events using the World War event I got with 21CW.... I used it as a way to unify some 21CW titles with our own at a "World War: BHOTWG vs 21CW" event I ran in London that had great results, and I think I have enough stars worldwide that I could run similar shows anywhere in the world. But first... I got to raise my popularity a bit more, as even with 21CW's popularity being added to mine I am not as big in North America as I would like. Though I am now up to 93 popularity across Japan, which is insane.</p><p> </p><p>

I rememmber someone somewhere asking me about how I did storylines in-game and I don't tihnk I got around to replying. For BHOTWG, I rn vague storylines... that is, if I am running a tournament I will put all of Block A into one storyline and all of Block B into another. This way, every match builds up the story and since I'm generally trying to put my best matches on last they will end with a high heat rating. I also do the Japanese thing of whoever win the final match gets to address the crowd, which for me is an entertainment based angle talking about people in both blocks that tends to rate very highly too, while also running a hype video for the opposing block somewhere in the middle of the show. This ensures those storylines are always active. Beyond that, I only have a few others going that are roughly card position dependent. If the juniors are in tournament action I will have a heavyweight storyline featuring just the top guys, one featuring various tag teams, one featuring midcarders who don't fit into those two and one for everyone else... then also a junior story for whoever isn't in the tournament. This is reversed for when heavyweights are in tournament action. When I am running the Kitozom Cup I have each block of 8 in one storyline and I try to do something on every show to advance each block... once we are down to the last 8, I put all 8 of them in one story and divide the rest of the people into their various levels again. It works pretty well as my top guys always have high storyline heat.... but we also don't need storylines for our company.</p><p> </p><p>

I would also like to add that if you play as BHOTWG, one of the first things you should do is to get the best staff possible. My commentary team were dinging every match for a long time until I got Sosa Morri from PGHW... with him, we rarely get penalties now and thanks to the number of matches we have our referees are amazing. Our road agents are also amazing and after having just a single 100 rated match before this team was assebled, we now have 46. With KC Glenn involved in 9 of those. For serious, that guy is a lock for wrestler of the year assuming Hiroako Nakasawa can't somehow add a few more to his 8, half of which have been in various kinds of tag action compared to KC who has just 1 in tag action.</p><p> </p><p>

Last but not least.... a quick rundown on major champions and important events to give you an idea of things in real time instead of block text. I maybe should have put this at the start. <img alt=":)" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/smile.png.142cfa0a1cd2925c0463c1d00f499df2.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p><p> </p><p>

I'm looking forward to it and he fall ou from my storylines at the moment, I'm hoping to free up some roster spots by getting rid of a few people (Kiminobu Kuroki was allowed to leave for newly national sized WLW) but my roster is also enormous... I might even upload the save at some point, but I'm not sure anyone really wants a game that is this ridiculously big and likely inaccessible to anyone that isn't me. <img alt=":p" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/tongue.png.ceb643b2956793497cef30b0e944be28.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p>

Any tips for pulling better match ratings with BHOTWG or puro feds in general? I enjoy booking them but it’s a little frustrating when big main events like Horri v. Kikkawa seem capped at a B- or B rating. Not sure what I’m doing wrong.

They are basically just video packages, mostly of the storylines. NJPW has had some of my favorite recently like

Impressive stuff, Derek. Though I stand by the split between BHOTWG Original and BHOTWG USA for the sake of sanity. <img alt=":p" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/tongue.png.ceb643b2956793497cef30b0e944be28.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" />

<p>Thanks for the responses guys, I'm more than a little surprised that so many of you had the time to read so much. That was a hella long post I wrote. <img alt=":p" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/tongue.png.ceb643b2956793497cef30b0e944be28.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /> Anywho, as promised here are links to the sheets I've been using to organise things and the save game. <img alt=":)" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/smile.png.142cfa0a1cd2925c0463c1d00f499df2.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p><p> SHEETS - <a href="https://drive.google.com/open?id=18BfnclErry31KBct6wUlYGVkHq-DgdK5" rel="external nofollow">https://drive.google.com/open?id=18BfnclErry31KBct6wUlYGVkHq-DgdK5</a></p><p> SAVEGAME - <a href="https://drive.google.com/open?id=1Ph8cdAKGHqUBtIlckzNPeYKGkaw1pFpn" rel="external nofollow">https://drive.google.com/open?id=1Ph8cdAKGHqUBtIlckzNPeYKGkaw1pFpn</a></p><p> </p><p> I also have a word document that I have been using to keep things organised for my junior and heavyweight divisions, young lions, development and stuff but it's very messy and doesn't really give much information that a casual look would use. One section tracks logical challengers for titles, which is usually just a list of people who have beaten the champion in tournament or tag action (sometimes in loans to other companies), sometimes with some personal elements thrown in. If I see that I'm getting short of challengers, or that someone has too many then it's time to make some matches to fix that. The only other thing I would add is that I have a list of tiers that my roster is roughly divided up into... here are the active heavyweights and juniors for now....</p><p> </p><p> Tier 1: Angry Gilmore, Heihachiro Sakai, Hiroaki Nakasawa, Kinnoji Horri, Yasuhiko Taira, Yoshimi Mushashibo, </p><p> Tier 1.5: Hiroyasu Gakusha, Sensational Dragon, Tadiyuki Kikkawa (11), Yasunobu Masuno, </p><p> Tier 2: Buddy Garner, Funakoshi, Jack Marlowe (17), Koshiro Ino (15), Matthew Keith**, Raymond Diaz, Tadakuni Toshusai, TANK Fugunaga, </p><p> Tier 2.5: Atom Smasher, Atsumori Takemura*, Greg Gauge**, KC Glenn, Mabuchi Furusawa, Shooter Sean Deeley, SUKI, Takayuki 2000, Tatsuya Toshitala*, </p><p> Tier 3: Gonkura Kamioka*, Ieyoshi Shimakage*, Kansuke Konda, Kirk Jameson, Masaaki Okazaki (05), Nissho Yuasa, </p><p> Tier 3.5: BISON Yano, Blake Belushi, Brute Kikuchi*, Fujio Narahashi*, Hitomaro Suzuki, Kazunori Yamura*, Rick Stantz, </p><p> Untested: Bussho Makiguchi, Chojiro Kitoaji, Edward Cornell, Eien Miyamoto, Jonathan Faust, Kelly Martin, Kiminobu Kuroki, Lance Martin, Leigh Burton, Leo Price, Logan Wolfsbaine, Namboku Makuda, Simon Flemmingway, Toju Munkata**, Tommy Cornell, Toshiharu Hyobanshi, Viktor Beskov, </p><p> Young Lions: Del Simard, Washi Kawakami, </p><p> </p><p> Tier 1: Elemental III**, KC Glenn*, Marihito Masuko, Sensational Dragon, Velocidad, </p><p> Tier 1.5: Masa Kurata**, Razan Okamoto**, Reaver, Truth Elemental, Tsuneyo Yanagimoto**, </p><p> Tier 2: Americana Uno, Chess King, Hyosuke Kokan, Red Panther, Roderick Remus*, Simon Flemmingway, </p><p> Tier 2.5: American Optimus, Edd Stone, Kamikaze**, Kansuke Konda, Mikey James, Musashi*, </p><p> Tier 3: Hijo Del Relampago*, Motoyuki Miyake*, </p><p> Tier 3.5: Pretty Okakura**, Stealth Z**, Totoya Munakata, </p><p> Untested: Americana Dos*, Angel De Mexico, Crimson Ghost*, KAZ, La Estrella*, Marvel Malloy*, Ricky Storm, Sifu, Storm Spillane, </p><p> Young Lions: Silver Shark II, Tomonaga*, Yunokawa*, </p><p> </p><p> A single * denotes a hot prospect, a ** denotes a next big things and if someone has a number in brackets after their name, that's the year they started their Time Decline.</p><p> </p><p> These are just the active roster members, I have a copy with inactive people in a spare sheet. My champions will generally be in the top two tiers and successes and failures in tournaments wills ee people rise or fall. Anyone listed as "Untested" hasn't had many singles matches and I will generally try to get them some more matches to give them a rough rank. Mabuchi Furusawa (3 ins from 5) earned his GCG title shot by doing better than Fujio Narahashi (2 wins) and Hitomaro Suzuki (1 win) in their recent trial series. The tour of the upcoming Kitozon Cup will also see me try to get as many of the other Untested level guys enough matches to get them a proper rank too. American Optimus has had a sharp fall from grace lately... he lost his qualifying match for the Best Of Super Juniors (to Motoyuki Miyake, winner of the 2017 Young Lion Cup) and dropped from 1.5 to 2.5 as a result.</p><p> </p><p> So between these tiers, various tournaments and my list of logical challengers I can usually put together a rough PPV card with a little forward planning. Then I simply book a bunch of shows leading to that and see what other ideas I like the sound of and add those. Maybe it's a stable rivalry, maybe some new people are making an impact, maybe PGHW guys are kicking up a fuss... whatever I fancy, it happens and I have fun with it.</p><p> </p><p> </p><blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-username="Jomosensual" data-cite="Jomosensual" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="41359" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div>I would also love to see the tournament template. Also, do you have any advice for setting up a round robin tournament and the international dojos/development territories? I've wanted to do both of those for a while now and plan on doing them once I get my network to be more extensive</div></blockquote><p> </p><p> The big advice I would give is to plan ahead. Not so that everything is fixed, but enough so that you have an idea of where you want things to end, which then lets you choose how you get there. For the round robins I tend to pick a winner ahead of time and usually I don't put them in the same block as whoever they would challenge as a result. This helps to avoid repeat booking penalties, gives you direction and keeps things fresh. My roster has quite a lot of turnover, mostly due to the various ageing stars I've been fading out but also because of the vast amount of talent I have locked up in development now too. But even so, there are some people who are simply better than others and some characters you lke more than others.</p><p> </p><p> MYSTIC Dragon/Truth Elemental's journey has been my favourite one, borrowing heavily from Tetsuya Naito and mixing it with some BHOTWG goodness. While considered one of the elite juniors at the start I undermined his status by having Sensational Dragon constantly saying he wasn't good enough, which kept being true as MYSTIC kept losing at important times. That led to a loss on a grand stage after he'd put his reputation on the line all while other contenders seemed to pass him and do what he simply couldn't I sent him to my Mexican child company on for a pretend excursion where he reinvented himself... his name is a combination of the saying "an element of truth" and "the truth hurts", and when he wins over Sensational Dragon and Elemental III at Night of the Burning Hammer he's going to rip everyone with a promo where he talks about being the original Elemental's child, the true heir of the Elemental name and someone who was spurned by peers, fans and BHOTWG alike as he wasn't even trained in the Hinote Dojo (BHOTWG's dojo), wasn't allowed to continue his own father's legacy which was given to some stranger instead and had to forge his own way and STILL made it to the top (Junior champion) only for it to not be good enough (never win the BOSJ)... if only he had been given everything that others had been given... how much greater could he be... </p><p> </p><p> So yeah, I've had that promo in my head throughout this game and now he's got a stable behind him, a new attitude and a huge win over 2 stars (well, he will in a few game days). He's might be my favourite character of all, and he'll be even better when I bring in Samael The Accuser to be the EVIL of this group. <img alt=":D" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/biggrin.png.929299b4c121f473b0026f3d6e74d189.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p><p> </p><blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-username="John Lions" data-cite="John Lions" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="41359" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div>This was a fantastic read Derek. I have a locker room full of locker room leaders so if Reggie Tate turns out to be good then he might get a shot and for once he might not turn out to be a complete douchenozzle for me. Blaze Maximum is also there too, I love his render. And there are always a few people in RAW worth keeping an eye on just in case, though most of their largest wrestlers are on time decline so won't be becoming my Bad Luck Fale any time if I were going to fill in that spot. <img alt=":p" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/tongue.png.ceb643b2956793497cef30b0e944be28.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p><p> </p><blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-username="Yokai" data-cite="Yokai" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="41359" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div>Any tips for pulling better match ratings with BHOTWG or puro feds in general? Even using the CV16X as a base, there is a general lack of popularity, momentum and psychology among the BHOTWG heavyweights that will make it hard to get past B grades unless there is something else helping. Black Magic's tag experience certainly helps a bit and you have Kikkawa, Hoshino and Nakasawa with the psychology to carry but BHOTWG suffers from having a lot of guys who are good, but few that are great. Which was my original inspiration for "The Aceless Era" as there was no-one on the roster who could really stand out enough to be a figurehead even if I wanted to replace him.</p><p> </p><p> Meanwhile the top GCG guys are at a very similar level to the top BHOTWG heavyweights to begin with too, so getting similar grades from them sounds about right. They also have the benefit of several of them having tag experience together too which can really help out. I found it heartbreaking to watch some of my favourites from old play throughs having just one great match a month because GCG were silly enough to not have a TV deal while having people locked down to written contracts... it is what killed them really, and why I bought them out.</p><p> </p><p> But back to the original question... get the best staff you can, build up the momentum of your top guys with wins so that whoever is in your main event has a lot of that... those wins should be generating popularity and if at least one guy has great psychology and you can give the match 20 minutes or more then you should be able to get the best from them. BHOTWG has a limited pool of guys for that at the start, though they do have some great options in the Junior division too with Sensational Dragon in particular being a star there. Other companies also have some great talent just waiting to be poached, and as the biggest fish in that pond you don't need to feel bad about stealing the non-loyal workers. Particularly if they have the psychology, which can soon be spread around through multiman matches,</p><p> </p><p> </p><blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-username="Hashasheen" data-cite="Hashasheen" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="41359" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div>Impressive stuff, Derek. Derek's epic post has me mulling a Burning Hammer save again. I love having fun with the epic imagery they use. And while a '97 ECW game is fun, counting pennies is most definitely not.

One small trick that someone mentioned a long while ago that I don't think I've seen in the thread.... When starting the save and picking your Avatar's User Skills, you don't need Creative. So push those points into Motivating as that helps with the in-ring. Unless you plan on using a bunch of gimmicks. This won't make a massive impact on your grades, but a small bit helps if you are getting hit with penalties like Time Decline.

I suppose I can only ask how you'd book things in a BCG or GCG without a junior division, but that's far and away separate from BHOTWG. I struggle lasting too long into a run without eroding both momentum and pop, especially as I try to go without tournaments (mimicking pre-2010 NOAH).
