WWE Monday Night Raw January 2nd 2006 East Rutherford, NJ Opening:Vince McMahon's Bombshell The opening Pyro explodes and the fans are going nuts in East Rutherford New Jersey. Joey Styles and Jerry Lawler welcome the fans to the first Raw of 2006; and following the introduction "NO CHANCE" blasts over the PA System and Vince McMahon swaggers his way down to the ring. After recieving a mixed reaction from the crowd Vince McMahon claims that he has several announcements to make. He says that starting tonight the entire WWE will go into a tailspin as several important changes will be taking place. He says after tonight everything related to the brand split will start from scratch. He says first of all he would like to announce the men who will be running things around here from now on. First off on the Raw side of things he is handing over the General Manager position to none other than The Hardcore Icon himself....MICK FOLEY! As for Smackdown! as much as he despises the man; Vince says that he is handing over all the power of Smackdown! to ERIC BISCHOFF! Next, Vince says that throughout tonight's show both General Manager's will be watching and each will choose the men they want on their respective shows. By the end of the night; every superstar on the WWE roster will know his place in the company. On the same thought Vince states that after tonight MANY of the current WWE superstars will be....... FIRED! Vince closes his speech claiming that tonight everyone on the show better be on the top of their game because nobody wants a LOSER on their roster. From that thought Vince exits the ring. -COMMERCIAL BREAK- Another Announcement? Following the commercial break; Vince McMahon is seen atop the entrance ramp. He says that he is demanding that every cruiserweight who is present backstage enter the ring for an over the top rope Battle Royal. Vince says that with the time frame they have tonight its impossible to showcase all the talent in singles matches so the Battle Royal is a perfect way to showcase everyone at once. Following the match-up Vince claims that we will hear from both Eric Bischoff and Mick Foley. Match 1: Cruiserweight Battle Royal (Including: Chavo, Rey Mysterio, Shane Helms, Paul London, Brian Kendrick, Super Crazy, Psicosis, Nunzio, Matt Hardy, Jamie Noble, Juvi, Funaki, Kid Kash) The match-up starts out very fast paced. Lots of big moves in the very beginning of the match-up including a double underhook powerbomb from Jamie Noble on Sho Funaki. Following the powerbomb, Super Crazy jumped on the top rope for a moonsault attempt but he was pushed outside and eliminated first. Eliminated: Super Crazy Brian Kendrink and Paul London work together againts Juvi and Psicosis. The two teams exchange several right hands throughout the match-up and London eventually connected with his backflip dropkick which sent Psicosis out of the ring and the match. Eliminated: Psicosis The next elimination actually came when Juvi ducked a double clothesline by Kendrick and London which sent both men out of the ring. Eliminated: Brian Kendrick and Paul London Nunzio exchanged some right hands with Matt Hardy on one side of the ring as Rey Mysterio and Kid Kash battled on the other side of the ring. Nunzio and Kash were Irish whipped into one another in the center of the ring. Both men stumbled around the ring until Matt Hardy tossed out Nunzio and Rey tossed out Helms at exactly the same time. Eliminated: Nunzio and Kid Kash Chavo Guerrerro and Jamie Noble battled it on in one of the corners. Back and forth they exchanged right hands until Chavo managed to get up Noble in the Gory special. While the move was locked on Shane Helms springboarded off the middle rope and dropkicked Chavo's chest sending both men out of the ring. Eliminated: Chavo and Jamie Noble With five men remaining they all circled the ring staring at one another. Juvi yelled out in Spanish in a very ****y manner. Everyone looked at one another and then four of the five remaining superstars grabbed Juvi and they all tossed him out of the ring. Eliminated: Juvi Juvi was going irate on the outside after being eliminated, but he meant nothing to the other superstars at this point. As the action continued Juvi stayed at ringside though, and later during the match he grabbed a steel chair and smacked Rey Mysterio in the lower back as he hit the ropes from and Irish whip. After the chair shot it was easy for Shane Helms to eliminate Mysterio. Eliminated: Rey Mysterio It was now down to three men. Matt Hardy, Shane Helms, and Funaki. The three men stared at one another from different sides of the ring. The fans know the history between Helms and Hardy being great friends; and obviously so did Funaki. He shook his head and then ran down and held onto the bottom of the nearest turnbuckle. The fans laughed as Matt Hardy went to try and pry Funaki off the turnbuckle, but in the meantime, Shane Helms turned his back on his buddy and tossed him out of the ring from behind. Eliminated: Matt Hardy With only Helms and Funaki left, Funaki had no choice but to wrestle Helms. The two went back and forth for several minutes turning it into more of a wrestling match then a battle royal. Funaki took control of the match early on with various hiptosses and submissions including a perfectly executed STF. However, Shane Helms got the upperhand and connected with a SHINING WIZARD knee to the side of the head that resulted in Funaki going over the top rope. Eliminated: Funaki Winner: Shane Helms #1 Draft Picks?!? With Shane Helms standing with his hands held high in victory Eric Bischoff appears on the Titantron. Bischoff says that Vince McMahon has granted him the choice choosing whomever he wants for Smackdown! from the battle Royal. He says that even though he isn't limited to one choice and in all actuality could choose everyone from the match; Losers are useless to him. So, for the first Smackdown! roster pick Eric Bischoff picks Shane Helms! In the ring Shane Helms has a huge smile plastered on his face. That is until Mick Foley replaces Eric Bischoff on the titantron. Mick Foley states that since Bischoff decided to ONLY bring Shane Helms to Smackdown! that he'd be happy to take all twelve of the other superstars on right here on RAW every week! The fans at ringside go crazy as Mick Foley gives a thumbs up! THE CHAMP IS HERE! Or not... Backstage John Cena is standing next to Maria with his coveted World Heavyweight Title over his shoulder. John Cena proclaims that THE CHAMP IS HERE! And he plans on staying right here on Raw where he and HIS TITLE Belongs! Just as John Cena finishes his statement, Vince McMahon enters the scene. He tells John Cena that he is very proud of him and all that he has accomplished, but as for tonight THE CHAMP IS NOT HERE. That is because Vince McMahon has decided to vacate all the Championships as part of the "NEW ERA" here in the WWE! Vince McMahon walks away with the World Title as John Cena and Maria look at one another shocked, but neither say a word. -COMMERCIAL BREAK- Tag Team Dejavu' As the cameras come back from commercial break Lilian Garcia is standing in the middle of the ring. She announces that the next match-up will consists of tag teams of the past from both Raw and Smackdown! The first team will be the former team of La Resistance' and they will be facing the team of EUGENE AND REGAL! Eugene & Regal vs Conway & Dupree Eugene and Regal make their way to the ring first. William Regal seems somewhat reluctant to make any type of contact with his partner, but Eugene doesn't let it go. He insists on giving Regal a hug in front of the live audience. Regal pushes Eugene away and then tells him to get out of the ring so he can start the match. Conway and Dupree both walk out to the top of the entrance ramp and look at one another and what they have become since the split of their former union. Conway pokes fun at Dupree and then Dupree does the same shaking his head in digust. Eventually, they do end up in the ring. Dupree starts things off against Regal. The match-up began with a tie-up which resulted in Regal being Irish whipped into the ropes. Regal came back with a European Uppercut followed by a suplex. Regal worked over Dupree with a series of submissio holds including various armbars. Regal tried to apply an STF, but Rob Conway got involved and met him with a boot to the head. Dupree makes the tag and Conway comes in strong. Conway stomped away at Regal and then pushed him in the corner. In the corner he connected with some boots to the chest and then mounted him for a set of ten punches. Following the punches Conway grabbed Regal by the head and taunted Eugene with a tag, but the team of Regal and Eugene were unable to capitilize with a tag. The action in the ring seemed to stay on the side of Conway for the next severeal minutes. There were several near falls including Conway with a pin attempt after a DDT, and then minutes later after a double suplex with help from Dupree. However, soon after the second pin attempt Regal managed to turn the tides in the match-up when he reversed a back body drop with a kick to the face. Regal capitilized with a swinging DDT before tagging in Eugene. Eugene came in on fire. Dupree tried to interfere, but Eugene tossed him out of the ring. Next, Eugene took the boots to Conway and connected with some Legendary moves from the past ending the match-up with a Eugene STUNNER! The fans went nuts as he got the three count. WINNERS: Eugene & Regal Who is Number 2? Following the match-up, newly crowned Raw General Manager Mick Foley's music blasts over the PA system. Seconds later he emerges from the backstage area and to the top of the entrance ramp. Foley says that since Bischoff got the first pick in the beginning of the night that Vince McMahon has granted him the next pick ...RIGHT HERE IN EAST RUTHERFORD!(Cheap Pop). As the fans go nuts over the previous cheap pop the tone changes as Eric Bischoff emerges from backstage. He says that although Mick does have the next pick he has a proposition to make concerning the next picks. He says that he juge got off the phone with his sister and she insists that he do whatever he can in his power to get Euguene on HIS show. Since afterall, Eugene is his family. Mick Foley shows off his all to familiar huge smile showing off the lack of front teeth. He claims that he was contemplating signing Eugene and Regal after their great performance. However, since Bischoff wants them. (Slight Pause) HE DEFINATLEY WILL DRAFT BOTH REGAL AND EUGENE! Eric Bischoff is very angry and starts shaking his head and Mick Foley who stands only feet away giving Eugene a thumbs up. Eugene is estatic. Bischoff gets back on the mic and claims that if CONWAY and DUPREE both want jobs on Smackdown! they better prove themselves WORTHY.... At ringside both Conway and Dupree grab steel chair and enter the ring. Eugene has no idea what is going on as he is still glaring at the happenings on the entrance ramp. Regal, who is also standing in the ring, stops Dupree and Conway from hitting him and instead he rolls out of the ring leaving Eugene an easy target. Then in seconds... WHACK! WHACK! Eugene is down and the two former members of La Resistance' stand tall in the ring. "WELCOME TO SMACKDOWN!" Bischoff says from the top of t he ramp as cameras cut to commercial and Mick Foley makes his way to the ring to scare the team of Conway and Dupree out of the ring. -COMMERCIAL BREAK- An Awkward Encounter Dave Batista is walking backstage when he runs into Maria. Maria tries to get a word with the big man, but Batista claims to be a bit busy as he has been informed to go speak with Eric Bischoff. Just as Batista turns around after talking to Maria none of than Triple H is standing there. Triple H just seems to be walking by and he says Batista seems to be in his way. Batista doesn't back down and the two go face to face; nose to nose; for a few seconds. Nothing is said until the two finally back down from one another. Triple H walks past Batista and then towards Bischoff's office himself. He looks back and smiles at Batista before saying. "Where is your belt, champ? Heh." From there Triple H pushes open Bischoff's door and walks in. As Batista turns around Maria is still standing there with a concerned look on her face. She again asks Batista what he is thinking. Batista says whether it be Raw or Smackdown! where he is drafted he will become Champion again and there is nothing Triple H or any other superstar in the WWE will do about it. He said TRiple H thinks he's better than anyone back here and he is wrong. From there Batista barges into Bischoff's office despite the fact that Triple H is already in there. Cameras cut back to Maria who swallows the spit in her mouth real hard as if to be scared of what will happen. Foley is.....GOOD...at booking raw?!?! Mick Foley appears on the Titan Tron yet again and announces that he has been advised by Vince McMahon to book the matches for the rest of the show to let the world know exactly what Mick Foley plans on doing with Raw in the future. He says to show what Raw will do in the future, you have to look at the past. Therefore, he announces that the next match-up will put two of the most rough wrestlers currently in the WWE against two up-and-coming superstars. One of which Mick Foley is not very fond of. Foley announces that Hardcore Holly and Finley will be taking on Carlito and Chris Masters in the next match-up. Foley states that unfortunatley the man who gets the pinfall in the next match-up will be a member of the SMACKDOWN brand along with the man who he pins. Foley says this puts a FUN factor in the next match-up, and from this point on that is what RAW will be based around.....FUN! I'm Finley and I came to fight...whoever gets in my way! Backstage Fit Finley and Hardcore Holly confront one another about the next match-up. Holly warns Finley not to pull any funny business. Finley just smiles through the gap in his front teeth and said he came to fight; so Holly should stay out of his way in the ring. Carlito & Masters vs Holly & Finley Carlito and Masters hit the ring first doing their normal ****y mannerisms. In the ring Carlito and Masters go over some sort of gameplan as Holly and Finley make thier way towards the ring. Holly and Carlito starts things out, but after a few lethal chops Carlito was quick to tag in his partner Masters. The Masterpiece and Holly go back and forth for a few minutes exchanging several power moves including Masters taking the upperhand with a double sledge running clothesline. However, minutes later Finley manages to tag himself in which frustrated Holly. Finley cleans house taking out Masters with a series of forearms and then some boots to the chest. After a perfect northern lights he gets a two count before Carlito breaks things up. After the referee gets knocked out by a wild right hand by Carlito, Finley manages to get his stick from outside the ring. Carlito slides out of the ring and FInley attackes Masters with the object. Hardcore makes his way over to Finley to ask him what he was doing, but Finley responds with a shot across the head of Holly with the foriegn object. Carlito sees what is going on and grabs a steel chair from outside. He enters the ring and destroys Finley with it. Carlito rolls the Masterpiece out of the ring and sits Finley and Hardcore atop one another and puts one foot over them for the pin while eating an apple at the same time. The referee turns over and starts the count....1.....2......3. Winners: Carlito & Chris Masters Masterpiece Gets Revenge Following the match-up The King and Joey Styles touch on the fact that since Carlito managed to pin both Hardcore Holly and Dave Finley that all three men will be members of the Smackdown! roster. However, where does that leave Chris Masters? As the announcers continue to hype the brand split Chris Masters returns to the ring and catches the taunting Carlito offguard and slaps him in the MAsterlock. The Masterpiece doesn't release the hold. He screams and yells for Mick Foley to come down to the ring. After another minute or so Foley runs down to the ringside area. He says as much as he despises Carlito that Masters is going to kill him. Masters wants a contract, and says he won't release the hold until Foley gives him one. Foley agrees and Masters breaks the hold and then poses on the top rope as ****y as ever. Foley shakes his head and calls for medics for Carlito. The GM's Have a Little Meeting Eric Bischoff and Mick Foley are both backstage in an office. Bischoff says that although Foley does get the right to book Raw tonight; he feels that it would only be fair to let him help out. Foley says that on most nights he wouldn't care what Bischoff has to say, but tonight he is in the giving mood. So he says that he would take some input from Eric Bischoff on the main event of the evening. Bischoff suggests that Foley book one of the biggest matches in Raw history. A match that puts all the current big names of both Raw and Smackdown in the ring at the same time. A one fall to the finish eight man tag team match. Foley agrees to the match saying that the idea isn't half bad. He says that it will be Batista, John Cena, Shawn Michaels, & THE UNDERTAKER versus Triple H, Kurt Angle, Edge, & Booker T in the main event tonight. Foley says that if these guys want to be noticed this will be the best way to do it. PERIOD! An Interesting Decision? With everyone in one building tonight, it seems that Vince McMahon has advised all the workers to share a locker toom. Considering the fact that the Main Event was just looked into; everyone on the roster is pretty excited which started commotion backstage. The eight members of the main event match-up starting arguing and it almost got physical until referees and security got involved to break it all up. Chris Benoit vs Shelton Benjamin Benoit hit the ring first followed by Shelton and his momma next. In what turned out to be one of the most physically athletic matches on the entire night Benoit and Shelton showed off some great technical wrestling skills. Benoit controlled the beginning of the match with some various suplexes and a half boston crab early on. Shelton came back towards the end after a distraction from his mother at ringside and connected with the exploder suplex. However, Benoit got his foot on the rope and ended up eventually taking back control and hitting the flying headbutt for the victory. Winner: Chris Benoit Carrying on a legacy. Chris Benoit gets on the mic and announces that he was told prior to the match-up that he would get to choose where he wanted to wrestle if he won the bout. He said that he wants to be a part of Smackdown! and carry on the legacy that Eddie Guerrerro started. He said that he missed Eddie as does everyone else, and from this point on he would make it a point to wrestle every match just that match harder in dedication to his fallen friend. Shelton's Momma Speaks As Benoit leaves the ring Shelton's mom gets on the mic and claims that she talked to Mick Foley prior to the match-up as well, and that he promised her that Shelton would have a place on the WWE roster no matter what. Therefore, he would be wrestling on the RAW brand with Mick Foley starting next week. She also states that starting next week the WWE audience is going to see a new side of Shelton Benjamin because he ain't playing games anymore. -COMMERCIAL BREAK- Let the Meeting Commence Backstage once again, Vince McMahon, Eric Bischoff, and Mick Foley all meet together in an office. Vince explains to Foley and Bischoff that they would all watch the Main Event match-up together and directly following the match they would all three meet to decide what superstars they will draft to both Raw and Smackdown. This will include both members of the Main Event and those who were not live on television tonight for whatever reason. Following the airing of Raw tonight the complete list of draft picks would be posted at WWE.com. For now, Vince McMahon handed Bischoff and Foley some popcorn and said "Lets Watch some Wrestling Boys" Main Event: Eight Man Tag Team Match John Cena, Batista, Shawn Michaels, &The Undertaker vs Angle, Edge, Triple H, & Booker T With everyone in the ring the match started off with a brawl fest in the beginning. Eventually the referee got things squared away which led to Kurt Angle against HBK to start things off. Kurt Angle got the advantage in the beginning and worked over Shawn Michaels with tons of submissions and suplexes. Angle was able to tag out to Triple H who worked on Michaels as well before making the tag to both Edge and then Booker T who did their part. Eventually, HBK got a boost of energy and hit Booker T with a jaw breaker which stalled enough to tag in Undertaker. Taker worked over Booker T and actually caught him with a chokeslam, but Triple H got involved and stopped the pinfall. John Cena tagged himself in. Cena worked over Booker T with some right hands and then the five knuckle shuffle. Edge managed to tag himself in, but only long enough to get hit with the F U. Instead of going for the cover Cena tagged in Batista. From there it went to another brawl. All eight men ended up in the ring which led to closed fists by everyone. Booker T was sent to the outside by HBK and they brawled outside. Next Angle and Cena went over the top and exchanged blows outside. With Edge still down from FU it was Taker, Batista and Triple H in the ring. Triple H managed to connect with a low blow on Batista and went for the Pedigree, but Taker was there to catch him with a chokeslam. Following the chokeslam the rest of Taker's team re-entered the ring after getting the upperhand outside the ring. Each member of the team connected with their finisher on Triple H with the match ending only after a BATISTA bomb on the Cerebral Assassin. The fans were going nuts as Batista got the pinfall. Winners: Cena, Batista, Taker, and HBK Post Match Celebration Following the match-up the winners taunted in the ring for the crowd. Triple H was mocked by everyone and actually hit with another few finishers including another superkick by HBK and a PILEDRIVER by Taker. John Cena got on the mic and said love them or hate them, these four guys will definatley be four of the elite that will be headlining RAW and SMACKDOWN! And it Begins... Vince McMahon along with Eric Bischoff and Mick Foley all announce that they will no begin choosing their rosters. In a matter of an hour or so the picks will be listed on WWE.com, but until then they need privacy. The show ends with Vince slamming the door in the camera mans face.

WWE SMACKDOWN January 6th, 2006 Wilkes-Barre, PA The NEW Smackdown! GM Fireworks blasted at the arena in Wilkes-Barre PA, and the fans were going nuts as "I'm Bad" blasted over the PA system and Smackdown's new GM Eric Bischoff makes his way towards the ring. After a negative response from the crowd Bischoff begins to speak. He says that tonight the Smackdown! that everyone has known and loved is no more. He said that tonight things change...period. Starting tonight all titles are vacated and the new Smackdown! roster must start proving themselves because not only are all the titles up for grabs, but at the same time the moment he doesn't feel someone is doing their best to better Smackdown! They are fired! Next, Bischoff says while on the subject of titles he must announce that there will be only three titles here on Smackdown. The World Heavyweight Title, The Tag Team Titles, and the United States Title. As far as the World Title and Tag Team Titles go he has some plans for them in the coming weeks. However, starting tonight there will be a tournament for the United States title. The tournament will work with six men in singles matches until there is a United States Champ; simple enough. Tonight three of those matches will take place right there in PA. Following that statement, Bischoff acts as if he is going to exit the ring. However, he smiles and re-enters the ring. Bischoff claims that he can't leave the ring without making the biggest announcement of all. Tonights main event will feature Kurt Angle and Triple H taking on the team of John Cena and Chris Benoit and if any of those four men don't like it, they can go take their spot on the unemployment line because starting tonight there is a pecking order here on Smackdown! and anyone that doesn't go along with what he says...WON'T HAVE A JOB. Period. Bischoff then announces the first match which puts his first pick for Smackdown! Shane Helms with a former partner to take on Dupree and Conway who proved to be ruthless on this past Raw. Match #1: Shane Helms & Rosey vs Dupree and Conway Rosey and Helms make their way to the ring first. Rosey was wearing his superhero get-up as he always did, and he seemed to be persuading Shane Helms to put on a Hurricane mask that Rosey brought with him. However, Helms declined. Next up was Dupree and Conway who entered the ring wearing the La Resistance' outfits that they wore upon their debut in the WWE. IT seems that while teaming again the two men have joined together as La Resistance' once again. The match-up started up with Helms and Conway. Conway uses his strength advantage to keep control in the beginning with some clubbing right hands and a suplex followed by some slow submissions including a sleep hold and a grinding knee to the back. Conway tags Dupree and the two men connect with a double clothseline. Dupree works over Hurricane who sells very well until Rosey tags himself in. Rosey goes crazy clearing the ring of Conway and then puts Dupree in the corner with a running splash. Eventually, after a the ref takes a bump Conway returned to the ring with the French Candian Flags that they always carried. He swings at Rosey, but Rosey ducks and Helms comes flying from the top with a crossbody. Rosey splashes Dupree after a shot with the flag and makes the cover for the win. Winners: Shane Helms & Rosey A Super Hero Resurrection? Following the match-up Rosey and Helms do a little celebrating. When Helms goes to leave the ring however, Rosey stops him and asks to re-enter the ring. Rosey tries to give Helms the Hurricane mask that he brought to ringside, but Helms first refused. That was until the fans went absolutley nuts for Helms to grab the mask. Eventually, he did take the mask. He taunted after putting on the mask and then he and Rosey left to a great ovation. COMMERCIAL BREAK Finlay Still Just Wants a Fight Backstage, Fit Finlay and Hardcore Holly seem to have confronted one another yet again. Holly approached Finlay scolding him about the match-up from Monday Night. Holly asked what the hell Finlay was thinking. Finlay replies with a simple statement. "I told you I came to fight!". From there Holly was ready to jump on Finlay. He wanted victory on Monday just as much as anyone else, but due to Finlay's judgement in bringing the foriegn object in the ring they came up short. However, before Holly got angry enough to do anything physical Eric Bischoff approaches them coming from the ringside area. Bischoff says that since Holly and Finlay aren't getting along that he has a proposition...no an order for them. To get geared up because they are the first two competitors in the United States Title tourney. Holly and Finlay look at one another and smile before going their seperate ways. As Finlay walks away though, Bischoff says "HEy Finlay...Good luck tonight!" Finlay just continues walking, but Holly seems to be a little frustrated about the comment as if there was something fishy going on between Finlay and Bischoff. Smackdown! goes Hollywood Cameras cut back to the ringside area where MNM's music blasts over the PA system and all three members (Melina, Mercury, Nitro) go through their usual Hollywood entrance before hitting the ring. After entering the ring and showing off their bodies, Melina gets on the mic. She states that as has always been the case her team of Mercury and Nitro are going to dominate the tag team scene here on Smackdown! She says that after her boys take out Big Show & Kane tonight Eric Bischoff should just come down to the ring and declare them Tag Team Champions once again. Melina also states that Big Show and Kane were tag champs over on Raw, sure, but everyone knows that Smackdown! was always the superior brand as far as the tag team scene is concerned. From that point Kane's music hits and the team of Kane & Big Show make thier way to the ring. Match #2: MNM (Mercury and Nitro w/Melina) vs. The Big Show & Kane Kane and Big Show hit the ring with a vengeance. As soon as they entered Mercury and Nitro both tried to jump them, but it didn't work out to well. The entire match basically consisted of all four men in the ring at the same time. Although Mercury and Nitro did get the upper hand once during the match after Melina distracted the ref and they both connected with low blows; their offense didn't last long. Kane and Big Show destroyed both members of MNM and connected with a double chokeslam at the same time to end things. Kane and Big Show both covered their victims and the referee counted the three. Winners: The Big Show & Kane The Tag Team Champions Will be Crowned With Big Show and Kane both in the ring celebrating Eric Bischoff appears on the Titan Tron. He says that although they didn't know it Big Show and Kane just qualified themselves for a World Tag Team Title match-up next week on Smackdown. Their opponents will be Rosey and his partner...THE HURRICANE. The winners of the match-up next week will be the new Smackdown Tag Team Champions. Cena Arrives to a Wolverine in Waiting Cameras cut to the partking lot area, where John Cena is heading towards the building. However, before he makes his way inside he is cut off by Chris Benoit. Benoit tells John Cena that the two need to talk. He says that tonight Eric Bischoff has ordered the Main Event with them taking on Kurt Angle and Triple H. John Cena shows off a quick smirk before giving his thoughts on Triple H. He also notes that following the Main Event on Raw this past week he is surprised that anyone signed him to either brand. John Cena says that he and Benoit should have nothing to worry about. Benoit agrees and says that he wanted to let Cena know that he has been watching his work over the last few years closely, and he is going places, but with the World Heavyweight Title picture up in the air right now it's going to be interesting to see how things happen. Cena agrees and the two walk inside going over their gameplan for the Main Event. COMMERCIAL BREAK Match: #3 Fit Finlay vs. Hardcore Holly (United States Title Tournament) With both competitors in the ring you could cut the tension with a knife. Before starting off they glared at one another as they circled the ring as they knew when things got started it would be intense. Seconds went by and they locked up; from there intensity was nonstop. Holly managed to get the upperhand early on with some stiff right hands and kicks to the guts that sent Finlay to the corner. Chops from Holly echoed throughout the arena tearing Finlay's chest to shreds. Later, Finlay managed to reverse a quick suplex, an actual wrestling move, into a roll up for a two count. That was it for scientific. Finlay stomped away at Holly and then rubbed his forearm across his forehead repeatidly causing Holly to spill some blood. The two continued to brawl until the referee ended up getting hit with a out of control fist by both men. With the referee down Holly was hit with a crazy low blow. Finlay then went outside and grabbed that foriegn object he had used as of late. He went to use the mallot, but Holly ducked and kicked him in the chest before taking it from him. However, as Holly went to blast Finlay with it the referee regains conciousness and DQ'd him for use of the weapon. Winner: Fit Finaly Post Match Activities Hardcore Holly was irate for being DQ'd. He argued with the referee almost to a point of getting physical. However, before that could happen Finlay got back to his feet and grabbed that mallot type object and blasted Holly in the back of the head. From there Holly was out cold. Despite the fact that Holly was unable to move Finlay slapped on an STF and the fans were booing him like crazy. With Finlay refusing to let go of the STF, Eric Bischoff made his way to the ringside area. Just as the fans thought Bischoff was going to make Finlay release the hold, Eric Bischoff started clapping as if he was pleased. After a few seconds Bischoff asked Finlay to break the hold and take a "walk" with him. Bischoff said that he wanted to announce to the world that he has made HIS pick for United States Champion already, and that man is FIT FINLAY. He says that he wants a United States Champion who isn't afraid to fight, and he believes Finlay will prove over the next few weeks that he is the man to do just that. Finlay promises Bischoff victory in the US title tourney. Main Event is Heating Up Backstage, none other than Triple H himself is pouring himself a cup of coffee when John Cena and Chris Benoit walk by. Triple H makes his presence felt by making comments about the two. First off he makes gay references about the two hanging out together backstage and then asks Cena where the rest of his buddies are. After all it took four of them to get the job done on Monday Night. And as for Cena's comments earlier in the night Triple H says not only did they want him on Smackdown!, but he can almost promise Cena that he was the first pick on Monday night. Cena is quiet in the beginning, and as he goes to talk Benoit jumps in. Benoit says that he and Hunter have both been in the business a long time and they both know what type of man it takes to make it in this company. The Wolverine claims that everyone of the four men in that main event tonight have what it takes to be World Champion, and all four have proven it in the past. Before worrying about that Title though, Benoit says Triple H should be worried about his partner tonight because for some reason he hasn't seen him anywhere. COMMERCIAL BREAK A Suprise...Of The Gold Kind Booker T and his wife Sharmell are walking backstage talking about Bischoff taking over Smackdown! Booker T mentions something about having a little pull with Bischoff because of their days in WCW. Sharmell says she is sure that is why Booker T is part of the United State Title tourney. Booker gets a little frustrated and says the reason he is part of the tourney is because he was the best United States Champion, PERIOD! It was at that point they walked into their locker room. The light are off and some awkward music is playing but they just says thats wierd and ignore it. That was until a voice is heard from the shower area. "Oh Booker..." Booker T along with Sharmell walk back into the show area and it is dark with music and candles set up all over the place. The candles allow some light on a bath tub that sits in the corner, in that tub is none other than Goldust. "Its been a long time Booker..." Sharmell and Booker T just stare at each other in digust. "TELL ME HE DIDNT JUST SAY THAT!?!!?" Booker says to a huge pop from the crowd. Goldust, the man in the tub, says that he has missed Booker T since their tag matches a few years ago. He says that it will be a pleasure to get in the ring with him again tonight, but Booker is not to worry because Goldust is permanent member of the Smackdown! roster, and after he wins the US title he'll be sure to give Booker T another shot at the title. Booker T goes to make some remarks back at Goldust, but as Goldust goes to get out of the bath Sharmell and Booker flee the entire locker room. Goldust gets out of the bath and has a pair of shorts on...he stares at the door and says. "People are so touchy...." Before rubbing himself and lets out a relief. "OOOHHHHHHHHHHHH" The United States Title....now that cool Backstage Bischoff is in his office watching what had just happened between Booker T and Goldust. That's scary he states before Carlito barges in his locker room chewing an apple. Before Bischoff can get a word in edge wise Carlito starts running his mouth about how he should be in the US title tourney. Carlito says that Finlay, Booker T, Goldust, none of them are cool, and the US title needs someone who is going to carry it with pride. Bischoff cuts him off and says that he doesn't know why he is even there. Carlito has already been booked in a US title tourney match, against RVD. AND ITS NEXT? Carlito smiles and then bites into his apple...."NOW THATS COOL!" Match #4 Carlito vs RVD (United States Title Tourney) RVD made his way to the ring first and recieved a HUGE ovation from the crowd. Carlito was next and got a mixed reaction. The two have a staredown in the middle of the ring and Carlito slaps RVD in the fact to start things off. RVD is quick to fight back and connects with a series of punches and kicks that takes Carlito to the corner where he got hit with a roundhouse kick. RVD goes for a pin but comes up short. RVD keeps control of the match for the next few minutes with the high point being his ROLLING thunder splash but results in another two count. Following the pin RVD went for a suplex that Carlito reversed. Carlito controlled the match up with a few suplexes and then some cheap tactics including a thumb to the eyes and a roll up with help from the ropes. RVD managed to get the shoulder up however. The two men continued to exchange lefts and rights until the action spilled outside where RVD was hit with steel chair when the referee wasn't looking. From there Carlito took control and kept it until the end of the match where he went for a suplex which was countered with a DDT and a FIVE STAR FROG SPLASH! Winner: RVD COMMERCIAL BREAK Cole and Tazz on Hype Duty Following the break Michael Cole and Tazz hype the Main Event putting over the Team of Cena and Benoit and the fact that Kurt Angle is no where to be found. Match #5 Booker T w/ Sharmell vs. Goldust (United States Title Tourney) The match-up stars with the two superstars locking up and Goldust shoves Booker T to the corner and then starts rubbing on himself . This makes Booker T go crazy and he slides to the outside of the ring where the referee stars the count and Booker discusses strategy with Sharmell. Eventually Booker T re-enters the ring and when Goldust tries to grab him he drops Goldust's throat across the ropes. Booker T goes for the cover but gets a one count. The rest of the match-up shows Booker T controlling the action with a mixture of brawling and some of his trademark moves including a back-kick. However, when Booker T went for the Axe kick Goldust moved and bounced off the ropes only for Sharmell to grab at his legs. Goldust is stunned for a second and Booker T connects with a Book End for the finish. Winner: BOOKER T The Cerebral Assassin Going in Solo? Backstage, Triple H is going irate. He speaks of some sort of conspiracy going on here in the WWE concerning him. He then changes his mind set and says that he doesn't need a good for nothing Olympic Gold medalist to win the tag match. He'll take both men on himself, because he is that DAMN good. Triple H says he doesn't care if its Cena, Benoit, CENA AND BENOIT, or the entire Roster sooner or later Smackdown! and the whole world is going to realize that the earth is round, death and taxes are two things in life that are for sure, and TRIPLE H is GOING TO BE WORLD CHAMPION! MAIN EVENT: Triple H & Kurt Angle vs Cena and Benoit Cena and Benoit were already in the ring as Triple H made his long entrance. As Triple H's music stopped Cena and Benoit smiled at Triple H who had the most serious look on his face. Just as the three men were ready to pounce on one another KURT Angles music hit. Angle made his way to the ring and entered standing next to Triple H. Triple H nodded and the the four men started brawling .The first half of the match-up was nothing more than a brawl. No tags, just all four men exchanging fists and boots. Some hight points included Benoit with a German suplex on Triple H, and Kurt Angle taking Cena out of the ring with a suplex over the tope rope. Eventually, the ref did get things sqared away. Triple H and Benoit were in the ring, and following a blocked right hand Triple H took control of the match with a knee to the fact. Triple H worked over Benoit with some closed fists and then a sleeper hold which was reversed into a jaw breaker. Benoit tried to roll up Trips but came up short. Both men got back to their feet and tagged to their respective partners. Kurt Angle went crazy on Cena destorying him with some suplexes and then an armbar. During Cena and Angle in the ring however RIC FLAIR made his way from the crowd and grabbed TRiple H's feet and the two started brawling. This led to a fight in the crowd and Kurt Angle in the ring own his own. With Triple H gone it was impossible for Kurt Angle to fight off both Cena and Benoit. As Angle glared at what was going on in the crowd John Cena hit the FU and Benoit put on the Crippler Crossface causes Kurt Angle to TAP OUT! The fans went nuts chanting "YOU TAPPED OUT" to Angle after the match-up. WINNERS: Cena and Benoit

WWE Monday Night Raw January 9th 2006 New York City, NY Opening: GM Mick Foley Styles and the King welcome the fans to the show as the pyros light up the stage. Foley comes out to the ramp as his music hits. With the fans going crazy Mick welcomes everyone to the first full night under the Hardcore Legends control. Mick says that tonight we will see a few great matches but the two biggest matches will determine who will be in the World Title Match. He says that we will see one of those matches to kick off Raw and the other to cap off the night. The first will be Edge, Rey Mysterio, and the Undertaker and it’s up next! Triple Threat Match: Edge vs. Undertaker vs. Rey Mysterio All three men were in the ring when Edge ran at Taker and tried to take the Deadman down. Taker saw it coming and delivered a big right hand taking Edge to the mat. Rey then took a shot at Taker but he got the same as Edge. Taker tossed Rey out of the ring and locked up with Edge in the middle of the ring. Taker nailed an uppercut before giving Edge a bodyslam. When Taker turned around he was nailed by Rey jumping off the top rope and hitting a hurricurana. Rey covered him for the pin, but Edge broke up the pin with a chair shot to the back of Rey. The ref called for the bell and ended the match. Edge didn’t stop and nailed Rey another time and then hit Undertaker with the chair. Winner: No Contest Post Match Mick ran out to the ring to stop the carnage, but Edge nailed him with a chair to. Edge then left the ring with all four men down in the ring. Commercial Break Master Lock Challenge Chris Masters is in the ring with a ref and a chair in the middle set up for the Master Lock Challenge. Masters says that he will take on anyone in the back for the Challenge so he can prove to Foley that he deserves a title shot. After a minute Matt Hardy comes out to the ring and gets ready for the Master Lock. When the ref gives the signal Masters locks it in and brings Hardy to the mat. The ref calls for the bell when Hardy stops moving. Masters kept the hold on as the ref called for help from the back. Some security comes from the back and finally gets Masters out of the ring. Hell to pay Backstage Foley is getting medical attention when he tells the camera that he has a plan and that he knows how to keep control of his locker room. Foley goes into his office and doesn’t let a cameraman inside. Commercial Break Singles Match: Eugene vs. William Regal Eugene was dominated in the early goings by Regal who kept him down on the mat with a series of submissions. Eugene finally got away when he bit Regal’s arm and then crawled around the ring. Eugene went for an ankle lock, but Eugene rolled out of it and picked Regal up and started to spin around the ring. When he dropped Regal both men were dizzy, but Eugene went for the Rock Bottom, but Regal pocked Eugene in the eyes and nailed a Russian Leg Sweep of his own. Regal then locked in the Regal Stretch for the win. Winner: William Regal Dean Machine Simon Dean is seen talking up the new Dean Machine that will help burn fat. He then switches and starts to hype his Simon Bars and how great they taste and how convenient they are. Simon Dean seems to get frustrated and the camera zooms out to show who he is talking to Funaki, Juvi, Jamie Noble, Kendrick, London, and Kid Kash. Dean starts to yell and then Funaki says something in Japanese which pushes Dean over the edge and he starts to attack them only to get beaten down and having his Simon Bars dumped on him. Commercial Break Intercontinental Title Match: Ric Flair vs. Psicosis w/ Juvi Flair tried to keep Psicosis on the mat, but the high flyer used his speed and quickness to his advantage to keep Flair guessing. Flair finally got a hold of Psicosis and locked in a choke hold taking Psicosis down to the mat. Flair broke the hold and landed a leg drop on Psicosis, but Juvi got on the apron. Flair had to go knock him off which gave time for Psicosis to get up, but Flair saw him coming and nailed a Samoan Drop and locked in the figure four for the win. Winner: Ric Flair The Main Event Mick Foley comes out to the ring and says that he will make his decision about who else will be in the title match next week but up next is the main event and whoever wins will guarantee a title shot. Foley says to make sure that the same thing doesn’t happen again he has put a special guest referee for this match and that man is Batista!!! Batista makes his way to the ring in a referee shirt and shakes Mick’s hand. Foley then says he will join Styles and King for commentary at ringside. Triple Threat Match: Randy Orton vs. Shawn Michaels vs. Shelton Benjamin With all three men in the ring Orton looked at Batista with distrust before the match got underway. Batista pointed at HBK and when Orton turned he got hit with some Sweet Chine Music. Shelton attacked Michaels from behind and the two started to brawl on the outside. When Orton got up he went for a steel chair, but Batista stopped it and tossed him back into the ring were the action was picking up. Edge made his way down to ringside, but he was met by Foley and the two started to argue. Batista went down to help Foley, but on the inside Orton nailed HBK with a steel chair and Shelton kicked it back into Orton’s face. Edge started to leave and Foley and Batista turned to see Shelton covering HBK in the ring Batista started to count when Edge pulled him out of the ring and hit him with a steel chair. Foley called for the bell and grabbed a mic. Winner: No Contest Cap off the night Mick Foley said the match was a no contest as was the match from earlier in the night. Foley said that next week he would declare who will be in the title match at New Years Resolution in two weeks, and he also said that next week Edge will face both Batista and Rey Mysterio.

The reason for the trade was due to his heat with Triple H in the Smackdown locker room following Smackdown last week. It seems that Flair and Triple H exchanged some stiff blows, and Triple H demanded that Flair be put on Raw away from him. We all know TRIPLE H GETS WHAT HE WANTS. Backstage Heat? Rumors have already began concerning WWE management with the rosters of both Raw and Smackdown. On the Raw side of things it semes that Mick Foley has recieved obvious heat from the likes of Ken Kennedy who was very upset that he was not used on the first single broadcasting of Raw since the new brand split. On Smackdown several members of the roster have become obviously upset after the debut edition of the "NEW" Smackdown. Carlito, RVD, and Lashley among several others have already spoken out backstage about wishing they'd have been signed by Raw instead of Smackdown! which is being run by Bischoff. New Year's Revolution!?!? WWE.com has indicated that this years New Year Revolution Pay Per View will be LIVE! on PPV on January 22nd. It will feature Mick Foley and the newly crowned Raw superstars. Eric Bischoff's Right Hand Man It seems that Eric Bischoff has taken a liking to the talent of Fit Finlay. since Finlay's return Eric Bischoff has said nothing but positive things. Last week on Smackdown! Bischoff said that he is taking Finlay as his pick for the first US champion. It'll be interesting to see how tihs plays out Elimination Chamber...OR NOT?!? Eric Bischoff is said to be very against the use of the Elimination Chamber match at this year's New Year's Revolution show. As the fans know, this was Bischoff's idea from the start and he doesn't want Foley using it. However, the final say will come down to Vince McMahon himself. Bischoff has stated that " I'll Take Care of This This week On the Best Wrestling Show on Television...SMACKDOWN". So obviously, Bischoff will address it in just a few days. Raw GM Using his Power Mick Foley has expressed interest in changing up the title scene on Raw. There have been no specific comments on particular titles, but as Raw GM he has the power to do what he wants. Remember, Mick Foley is the HARDCORE Legend. Unites States Title Tourney Last week on Smackdown three men advanced in the United State Title Tournament. Those three men were RVD, Fit Finlay, and Booker T. This week Eric Biscoff has promised some more first round matches in the tournament. Names like Chris Benoit, La Resistance, Val Venis, and even Bobby Lashley have been thrown around. These names are not set in stone, but I would guess that at least a few of them will be involved this week. Vince McMahon Pleased Vince McMahon seemed to be pleased with both the Raw and Smackdown shows from this week. While he has stated Raw was good, he seems to have enjoyed Smackdown's fresh new start. After the last year or so that is exactly what it needed, and Vince McMahon is impressed.

WWE Smackdown! Preview Eric Bischoff has promised that this week there will be more matches in the Unites States Title match as well as some big announcements; one coming from himself. Triple H promises to speak on the Ric Flair controversy that has taken place last week. All this and much much more. The following matches have already been announced for this Friday: Val Venis vs. Bobby Lashley United States Title Tourney The only official United States Title match that has already been announced tihs week will be a hard hitting bout. The big man Lashley has been a roll this year, and Val Venis is trying to regain his spot as a regular on Smackdown! Goldust vs Carlito Both Carlito and Goldust have been eliminated from the US title Tourney on Smackdown!, and on Friday the two meet each other in the middle of the ring. Who will prevail? Obviously, Carlito doesn't think Goldust and his antics are COOL. Big Show & Kane vs Super Heroes Tag Team Titles Last week both of these teams qualified themselves for the Tag Team Title match promised by Eric Bischoff this week. Hurricane and Rosey obviously have the underdog role in this one. Who will be crowned Tag Champions? Only time will tell. Tune in Friday Night for SMACKDOWN!

WWE SMACKDOWN January 13th, 2006 Penn, PA Da' Boss is Angry! The crowd was going nuts as the second edition of Smackdown! in the year 2006 began with a bang as fireworks filled the once dead air of the arena. Following the fireworks "I'm Bad" blasted over the PA system and Smackdown! General Manager Eric Bischoff made his way down to the squared circle. Bischoff stood in the ring for a few seconds and waited for the crowd to quiet its boos. Then he raised the mic to his lips and told the crowd to sit down and shut up. Bischoff said that he isn't a happy man tonight, and when Bischoff isn't happy nobody is going to be happy. Eric says there are two reasons that he is angry tonight. One of them is Ric Flair and the other is Mick Foley. That's right. After only one week and running Mick Foley had managed to upset the GM of Smackdown. Bischoff says that Foley thinks that he is using HIS CREATION at New Years Revolution, and he is highly mistaken. Bischoff says that he has spoken with McMahon and later tonight Vince will make an appearance and an announcement concerning the use of "My Elimination Chamber" as Eric put it. Now, onto other things. Bischoff states that since Ric Flair took it upon himself to jump to Raw without any legal permission there will be punishment in his future. For now however, Bischoff claims to have allowed Flair to continue his run on Raw but not without a trade. Eric claims that the trade of Ric Flair to Raw has results in major buzz around the locker room, and sooner then later he'll reveal his new signee. RIGHT NOW however, that is not going to happen. Before leaving the ring Eric Bischoff claimed that the first US title tourney match will be between Val Venis and Bobby Lashley and that match will take place RIGHT NOW! From there Bischoff leaves the ring and on his way out tells Lashley and Venis to get to the ring right now before they are DQ'd. Match #1: Val Venis vs. Bobby Lashley (United States Title Tournament) Venis and Lashley quickly entered the ring to avoid any conflict with Bischoff. Venis did a few poses, but was quickly out matched by the much larger Bobby Lashley who didn't even have to flex to show his strength. The match started off with a hook off and Bobby Lashley used his power to toss Venis in the corner like a rag doll. From there Lashley controlled most of the match. He pounded Venis with a number of clubbing fist in the corner follow by a suplex. After only a two count Lashley brought Venis over his head in a gorilla press slam position and tossed him to the outside as if he was nothing. As Lashley taunted in the ring and the referee checked on Venis outside, there was some commotion in the crowd. From the crowd emerged Fit Finlay with that all too familiar club that he had been using as a weapon as of late. He smacked Lashley in the back of the head with it and then exited the ring just as quickly as he entered. Eventually, Val Venis re-entered the ring to see the fallen big man. Venis didn't understand what happened, but he wasn't going to waste any time. He went to the top rope and came down with the money shot for the victory. WINNER: Val Venis Finlay Isn't Done! Following the match-up Val Venis stood with his hands raised in victory. That was until Finlay returned from the crowd and quickly slid in the ring and pounded with a shot in the back of the head with the very mallot that he had smacked Lashley with earlier. Finlay pounded away at Venis and then tossed him out of the ring. In the ring alone, Finlay grabbed a mic. "As far as I'm concerned...two down! My name is Finlay and you people will soon realize that I'm here for one thing...TO FIGHT. It won't be long now...you're looking at the next United States Champion!" From there, Finlay exits the ring and kicks both men before exiting. COMMERCIAL BREAK Another Chance! Backstage, Eric Bischoff is on a cell phone in his office when Carlito barges in. Carlito claims that he was robbed last week in the US title tournament, and that was definatley NOT COOL. Carlito says that last week RVD got lucky, and tonight Carlito should get another shot in the US title tournament. Just as Bischoff was about to turn down Carlito's request at another shot in the tournament Goldust emerges from behind the office doors. The room goes silent and Goldust touches himself "oohhh...". He then glares at Carlito and says hello to fresh meat. Bischoff asks Goldust what exactly he wants and Goldust says that after last week he just wanted a chance to get back in the ring with his best friend Booker T. Bischoff says that he is sick of all these request. However, Goldust and Carlito are both lucky tonight as there is an opening for a match-up in the United States Title Tournament. Therefore, they will both get another chance in the tournament. Later tonight the two will face off and the winner will advance, period. Bischoff tells both men to get out of his office...NOW! Goldust touches himself again before exiting and Carlito stands there and stares...."FREAK" he says before he exits. "That guy is definatley NOT COOL!" Tag Team Turmoil! Backstage, Mercury, NItro, and Melina are all looking in a mirror admiring themsevles and one another. That was until... "WHOOOOSH!" Hurricane and Rosey "flew" in and asked what in the world MNM were doing. That's right, they are grooming because they aren't booked tonight since they lost their match last week. MNM say its alright...because tonight the so called Super Heroes are going to find their kryptonite in the Big Show and Kane. Because quite frankly rather they like it or not they'll lie down even quicker then they did last week. And after Big Show and Kane win the tag team titles MNM will be the first to get a shot.Besides, the bafoons won't be able to co-exist too long. Just as Nitro finished the sentence Big Show and Kane hit the scene. "Is that right" Big show asked with a big smile on his face. Show and Kane push Mercury and Nitro out of the big picture and after making a backstreet boy joke put their focus on Hurricane and Rosey. Big Show says that while they have nothing against the "Super Heroes" they are definatley going to beat them in record time tonight in front of the live crowd to win the tag titles. Kane says that Hurricane will be destroyed tonight and the super hero thing is rediculous before walking away. Hurricane turns to Rosey and says ..." That guy just said WE look rediculous....WASSUPWITDAT!?!?" Match #2: Goldust vs. Carlito (United States Title Tournament) Carlito hit the ring first followed by Goldust who taunted Carlito to a point of disgust. Things started out with a lock up and Carlito pushing Goldust in the corner. However, Goldust turned the momentum and connected with some back chops and a few kicks. It was back and forth throughout the entire match with many fists being exchanged. It was until Goldust connected with a snap DDT when the first cover attempt was made. It was only a two count, but it got Carlito to open his eyes a little more. The two went back and forth for a bit longer until Carlito caught Golust with a spinning neckbreaker followed by a Boston Crab. The referee broke the hold when Goldust got to the rope. Next, Carlito tried to Irish whip Goldust in the corner, but it backfired. Now, Goldust was ready to set Carlito up for the Golden Globes...and he did just that. However, before he was able to finish Carlito off, Booker T's wife Sharmell made her presence felt. She grabbed Goldust's leg so he couldn't run at Carlito. The referee was quick to yell at Sharmell, but as Goldust turned around he was BLASTED with a chair that Carlito recieved from Booker T. The ref turned around and made the cover. Winner: Carlito A Challenge Between Friends Backstage John Cena and Chris Benoit were discussing their match-up and VICTORY from last week. They mentioned Ric Flair's run in but Cena jokingly made a comment about if Benoit wouldn't have made Angle tap out he would've with the ST-FU. Benoit says maybe...maybe not. Angle isn't a push over, and the ST-FU isn't as effective as the Crossface. This starts a small argument between the two. After a few seconds of arguing Benoit says he has an idea. Next week, since tonight's show is already full, Benoit vs Cena should headline Smackdown! The two men agreed, and then shook hands and walked their seperate ways. Speaking of Angle and Triple H Cameras cut back to the ringside area where Triple H went through his long and drawn out entrance. Next he stepped in the middle of the ring and started ranting about Ric Flair and his jump to Raw because he was obviously scared of going face to face with the Game. While ranting about Ric Flair, Triple H was cut off by Kurt Angle's music. Angle got a huge hometown ovation from the crowd. Angle walks out to the ramp and says that instead of Ric Flair Triple H should be worried about the guys here on Smackdown already. And right now, Triple H should be worried about Kurt Angle since he left him high and dry last week while he played around with some 100 year old man. Triple H says that Kurt Angle has balls for coming out an inturrupting him tonight. He says that Angle lost last week not because Triple H left the ring, but because ANGLE sucks. Triple H says that he could've taken both men on at once and still come out victorious. Angle laughs and says "IS THAT SO"...Triple H backs his words once again. That was until Bischoff made his presence felt. He said that tonight he planned on a rematch from last week due to Flair's interference, but instead it'll be Cena and Benoit vs Triple H in a handicapped match since Triple H is so confident. Triple H goes crazy in the ring, and Kurt Angle just nods and smiles outside. Kurt Angle says he'll be ringside for commentary during the match. COMMERCIAL BREAK Match: #3 Big Show & Kane vs. Super Heroes(Tag Team Championship) Hurricane and Big Show started things out. Hurricane connected with a few right hands and then a flying clothesline, but it had absolutley no affect on the big man. Big Show smiles and then grabs Hurricane by the throat and tossed him in the corner. From the corner, Rosey tagged himself in and he grabbed Big Show's head from the outside. This let Hurricane drokick the leg of Big Show. From there...Rosey and Hurricane kept the offensive for a few minutes working over the now hurt leg of Big Show. Rosey dropped several elbows on the leg of Big Show, but once Kane got the tag it was basically over. Kane dominated for a few minutes and then chokeslammed Rosey. On the way down though, Hurricane tagged himself in and went for a high crossbody. Kane caught him in mid air and connected with a PILEDRIVER!...1.....2......3!. Winners: BIG SHOW AND KANE (New Tag Champions) Post Match Activities Big Show and Kane celebrated their tag team title victory following the match-up. However, as they held the belts up high MNM came in from behind and smacked them with steel chairs. The chairs had little affect on the big men. They turned around and chokeslammed both members of MNM and then left the ring after celebrating for a few more minutes. COMMERCIAL BREAK JBL Returns to Smackdown! Following the commercial break the familiar music of JBL hits and the white limo pulls out from the backstage area. JBL exited the limo sporting his white cowboy hat and made his way to the ring solo. After the boos drew silent JBL said last week's Smackdown! was missing something major....HIM. Not only that but the the US title tournament was also missing that same thing. So, JBL has used the backstage politics that so many people have spoken about in the wrestling business and got himself into the US title tournament. Therefore, JBL says bring out poor bastard the chore of facing him tonight. Just as JBL finished his speech the French Canadian theme of La Resistance blasted over the PA system and the duo made their way to the ring. JBL stated that although he dislikes many of the American Wrestling fans there is nothing more he HATES then a French Canadian. Therefore, he'd LOVE to beat the hell out of whichever member of La Resistance steps in the ring with him. Match #4 JBL vs. Rob Conway (United States Title Tournament) As soon as Conway jumped in the ring JBL ambushed him and just started beating the hell out of him with several stiff rights and lefts. Once Conway hit the mat JBL booted him for several seconds. Bradshaw kept control of the entire match-up with suplexes and his powerhouse nature to control things. However, after a distraction from the referee Conway managed hit JBL with the French Canadian flag. The result was only a two count however. From there Conway connected with one suplex but went for a second and it was reversed. From there it was over after an IRISH whip and a CLOTHESLINE FROM HELL! 1...2...3...JBL would advance. Winner: JBL Vince McMahon's Announcement Following the match-up Vince McMachon appears on the titan-tron. He says he's sorry that he is taking away from JBLs glory, but then again HE DOESN'T care. McMahon says that Bischoff promised the fans that he'd make an announcement regarding the elimination chamber tonight, and that time has come. McMahon says that Bischoff is right about the Elimination Chamber being his idea, but then again it's a WWE trademark. Therefore, instead of just letting Foley use the structure or not allowing Foley to use the structure. there will be a press conference/debate late this week concerning the subject. The press conference will be aired live on WWE.com. Next, Vince McMahon says that despite Bischoff running Smackdown! that he has an announcement to make. The World Title here on Smackdown will be decided in two weeks in a four way elimination match-up. The competitors will be Chris Benoit, Kurt Angle, John Cena, and none other than Triple H himself. McMahon suggest that all four men get ready for Smackdown! in two weeks. McMahon then says ENJOY the rest of the show...And says he'll have his eye on Bischoff and how he conducts himself. COMMERCIAL BREAK Bischoff isn't Happy...but whats NEW Backstage Eric Bischoff was angry about what had just happened with Vince McMahon. Bischoff says that he'll show Foley at that press conference that the ELIMINATION CHAMBER IS HIS! Just as Bischoff starts ranting about Foley Kurt Angle makes his way into the office. Kurt Angle says that although he liked the idea of the main event tonight, he wishes he could be a part of it. Especially after that announcement by McMahon. Bishchoff just shakes his head. He says do you want to be part of the match? Go for it! A matter of fact, go open that closet and you'll see what I mean. Angle opens the closet and then the camera zooms into his face and he gets a huge smile. "Referee Kurt Angle....I like it. Oh, its true!" Match #6 Hardcore Holly vs. RVD Rob Van Dam made his way to the ring first followed by Hardcore Holly. Holly took control early on with his stiff powerouse style. He connected with a german suplex and then late hung RVD up on the ropes and connected with a kick to the groin. Next, Hardcore took the boots to RVD and then applied a headlock. From there things changed. RVD reversed the hold into a jawbreaker and then connected with a DDT. Next he hit the rolling thunder and then after a few more minutes of offense the Five Star Frog Splash for the victory. Winner: RVD United States Title Tournament Getting CRAZY Following the match-up RVD asks for the mic. He says that following his second victory in a row here on the new Smackdown! he is very confident that the United States Title will soon belong to him. However, he says that it is unfair Carlito recieved a second shot in the tournament after getting a Five Star ass-whooping last week. RVD calls out Carlito and says if he has any guts he'll come to the ring right now. Carlito appears at the top of the ramp, but after some verbal attacks on RVD makes no attempt to walk towards the ring. However, with RVD's attention on Carlito Finlay jumps the guard rail yet again and much like earlier attacks the man in the ring. RVD is taken out with a shot to the back of the head with that familiar mallot. With Finlay standing over RVD though...Val Venis comes in from the crowd as well. He smacks Finlay in the back of the head with a steel chair and then goes to help RVD up. At the top of the ramp, Carlito just stands there laughing and eating his apple. "I don't like any of you guys, but beating the hell out of each other to soften you up for next week....NOW THATS COOL!" Triple H not Happy Backstage Triple H is on his way to the ring. However, halfway down the backstage area he suddenly gets pissed and starts tearing up the backstage area including flipping tables and kicking the wall. Triple H starts cussing Eric Bischoff and says that there is a controversy going on here on Smackdown! against him. He says he don't care...tonight he will be victorious...and if Kurt Angle gets in his way...He'll be on dead Olympic Gold Medalist! Co-Existing? At Least for Tonight The scene then cuts to Cena and Benoit getting ready for the match-up. They talk to each other about tonight match and how they are going to be teammates tonight, but the next few weeks things will be different. They agree on destroying Triple H tonight, but after tonight all the gloves are off! -COMMERCIAL BREAK- MAIN EVENT: Triple H vs. John Cena & Chris Benoit (Handicapped Match Kurt Angle Special Red) Kurt Angle, Triple H, John Cena, and Chris Benoit were all standing in the middle of the ring. Angle has a huge smile on his face and it's directed towards Triple H. Triple H orders Angle to tell Cena to exit the ring so he and Benoit can start things off. However, referee Kurt Angle declares the match NO TAG FORMAT! Angle continued to get a huge ovation by the hometown crowd. Cena and Benoit nod toward one another and start things off. There is nothing Triple H can do to stop Benoit and Cena two on one. Cena and Benoit work over Triple H by taking turns connecting with right hands and then a double suplex. From there the two both grab one of Triple H's arms and stretch him like never before. Cena goes for the cover but after a two count Angle stops counting. He smiles at Cena and says the shoulder was up, Cena knows just what he meant. The match continues as a Triple H beatdown for the next five minutes. Triple H is actually busted open after some closed fists by Cena. Next, Benoit connects with several German Suplexes. Not to mention a flying headbutt. However Angle begs the two not to stop yet. It is obvious that Angle has plenty against Triple H for screwing him last week. Just when things don't seem like they can get worse for Triple H...things change. Cena held Triple H's arms so Benoit could connect with a forearm; however, Triple H moved and Benoit blasted Cena. This started controversy between the two. Cena and Benoit got into a shove fest and then started exchanging right hands. Triple H lied on the mat and as bloody as he was just watched his opponents beat the hell out of one another. Angle didn't know what to do as Triple H pointed and laughed. So without wasting any time Angle slid outside the ring and returned with a chair...Triple H was on his knees pleading for Angle not to hit him, but Angle just laughed. That was until Triple H connected with a low blow. From there Triple H blasted Angle with a chair, and then both Cena and Benoit who were still brawling on the other side of the ring. The match was obviously a no contest, as things seemed to be out of control. WINNERS: NO CONTEST The Game Reigns Supreme The Show goes off the air with the bloody Triple H standing atop the entrance ramp looking down on the ring filled with his opponents in two weeks. Despite the odds The Game was the only one walking out of the ring right now. He smiled and screamed towards the ring with the steel chair raised above his head as the show ends.

WWE News and Rumors Backstage Heat? Triple H recieved some heat following Smackdown! with some superstars backstage. Many believe he was using his pull on the creative team to make himself look good at the finish of Smackdown at the expense of everyone else. Foley's Plan B Mick Foley has said to come up with a "Plan B" if he is unable to use the elimination chamber next weekend for the Raw Brand's New Years Revolution. There have been some rumors flying around concerning tables, ladders, chairs, and other foriegn objects but nothing has been finalized. Take these rumors with a grain of salt. Press Conference Vince McMahon has announced that later TONIGHT the an overview of the press conference taking place today on WWE.com will be posted right here. Unites States Title Tourney Following this week's Smackdown! the United States Title Tournament brackets have been completed. They are as follows: Booker T---------------* RVD---------& Finlay-------BYE to Semi-Finals Carlito-------& Val Venis--------------* JBL ----------BYE to Semi-Finals Ironically enough, despite all the negative actions that Fit Finlay has taken lately concerning the US title tournament he has recieved a BYE in the second round. Bischoff said out of the five he deserved it most. Next week on Smackdown we'll see Venis vs. Booker T & RVD vs. Carlito to see what happens in the finals. It should be noted that JBL has also recieved a BYE in the US title tournament, and both men will go to the semi finals. McMahon vs Bischoff? Vince McMahon has been verbally outspoken concerning Eric Bischoff and his actions on Smackdown! the last two weeks. While the overall shows are going well Vince believes that Bischoff is using a select number of guys a bit too much on the show. We'll have more on that as the news hits.

New Years Revolution Press Conference The following are several news and notes pertaining the press conference held between Mick Foley, Vince McMahon, and Eric Bischoff. There was a live audience of reporters in the house during the press conference. Triple H's Power? Someone in the crowd mentioned the power that Triple H holds in the WWE because of his personal connections with the McMahon family. Vince ensured them that if Triple H currently has any extra power as far as politics are concerned that is because Bischoff has allowed it. McMahon says that starting this year he promised everyone a new and improved WWE and thats what they got. While Vince doesn't dislike having Triple H in the family there have been several occasions where the subject of power backstage have started disagreements. Ric Flair's Trade Someone from Wrestleview.com mentioned Ric Flair's trade and how exactly he was used on RAw when he was not given permission on Smackdown!. Once again the subject turned to Triple H and his dislike for Flair. Bischoff mentioned that since they disliked one another he let Flair go ahead and continue to wrestle on Raw; however, he feels that he should be punished. Vince McMahon says Flair will be dealt with, but only when the time is right. New Superstars on the Roster Mick Foley and Eric Bischoff were then told in front of the press that despite rumors of more wrestlers being added to the Raw and Smackdown crews he is not looking to bring anymore talent in and this time. McMahon says he wants to see the two GM's work with the talent they currently have and the only changes will be trades between the two. Speaking of Trades While on the subject of trades Mick Foley promised that since Flair was now on Raw there would be a superstar transferring to Smackdown. Before Foley could announce who it was however, Bischoff cut him off and said as he announced on Smackdown! it would be kept a surprise. The Reason For the Meeting: The Elimination Chamber Next, it was time for the very reason everyone was there today. Vince McMahon brought up the topic for discussion, The ELimination Chamber at New Years REvolution. With the event right around the corner it had to be settled rather or not Foley would be using it. Bischoff immediatley cuts in and says there is no way in hell Foley should be able to use the structure being that it was his idea in the first place. Bischoff says that instead of a WWE copyright it should be an Eric Bischoff copyright...which sparked a little reaction from McMahon. Foley responded saying that as McMahon announced on Smackdown the copyright if that of the WWE's and not Bischoff or Smackdown so he feels as if he should have the right to use the structure. Bischoff calls Foley a washed up wannabe and says its ok...if he want to go and use someone else's ideas thats fine. Unoriginal GM's are a dime a dozen, and as far as he is concerned Foley probably needs it because that would be the only thing going for NYR in the first place. Foley shoots back and the two go face to face. Foley says he doesn't need Bischoff's pathetic excuse for a gimmick match anyways. Just then Vince McMahon leaned over and whispered something in Foley's one good ear. Foley responded with a smile. Then announced that NYR he won't be using the Elimination Chamber...instead he'll be using.....something that will be announced this week on RAW! "FINE!" Bischoff yells before walking off stage. Foley yells "Hey Bischoff...." Bischoff turns around to see Foley with a smile and his thumb in the air. "HAVE A NICE DAY!" After a few more not so important questions the press conference ended with a positive vibe.
