The Avatar Saga

Recommended Posts

Remember back when The Dudleys were not just a tag team, but a stable? Back in the days of the original ECW, the story behind the comedy group was that the patriarch of the family had illegitimate children around the globe who somehow ended up on the promotion, from the stuttering Buh Buh Ray Dudley to the "Innovator of Silence" Sign Guy Dudley and the native american Dances With Dudleys. It was the arrival of Devon Dudley that whipped them into shape and turned them into the team we know today.

What most people don't know is that CornellVerse has its own version of the group, The Avatars. Sons and daughters of the mysterious Grand Avatar arose around the globe only to answer their bloodline's call to wrestling after reaching adulthood.

In Mexico, El Avatar became the booker of Extremo Mondo de Lucha Libre

Hello and welcome! I'm new to the forums but not to TEW. Been on and off the 05 freeware for years trying to figure out how to make it all work out. Now that I finally have, I'm looking to purchase the latest version by the time my birthday comes around (Dec 24th). Meanwhile, my best friend was kind enough and let me mess with TEW13 on his computer until I get my copy. I figured since I won't be able to play every day and I want to catch up with everything (plus I have a bad habit of wanting to try everything) I'd start an 8 player game and book multiple promotions at once. This allows me to think stuff through during downtimes, then play it out when I have access to his computer. I know it's a really ambitious project, especially for my first dynasty log, but it is what it is. If it works out great I might even convert it to TEW16 and continue from my own computer. Until then, wish me luck. Thanks for sticking around and hope you enjoy this!

<p><strong>Monterrey, Nuevo León, Northern Mexico. January of 2013.</strong></p><p>

<em>Inside a small office, three men are talking over shots of tequila. Two of them are wearing luchador masks while the third is in a suit.</em></p><p> </p><p>

<strong>El Bandido:</strong> Luis, mi amigo, I wanted you to meet El Avatar. He’s the latest addition to our roster and he'll be our new booker behind the scenes too.</p><p> </p><p>

<em>El Avatar and Luis Montero shake hands</em></p><p> </p><p>

<strong>El Avatar:</strong> Thank you, señor. Thank you both. I just finished going through the books and the future looks bright for EMLL and all its young, hungry and very talented wrestlers.</p><p> </p><p>

<strong>B:</strong> Perhaps too talented. I’m always worried that the big three will steal our top stars sooner or later. I don’t want this to end up as another dojo or child promotion, si?</p><p> </p><p>

<strong>LM:</strong> And then there’s CILL hot on our heels…</p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Av:</strong> With all due respect, I am aware of all these things but let’s just focus on the first show of this year, si?</p><p> </p><p>

<strong>B:</strong> Okay. What have you got in mind?</p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Av: </strong>I have some storyline and angle ideas I’d like to discuss with you, but first I’d like to talk about a certain wrestler, Pyromaniac. His whole fire gimmick is too risky and I assume it’s only to cover his lack of skills inside the ring. Plus he’s a real firestarter too. He’s trouble in the locker room and I found out he’s got a criminal record as well. I’d like to ask for your permission to release him.</p><p> </p><p>

<strong>B:</strong> Madre de Dios! I bring the kid in to protect him from the streets and he brings the cops with him?</p><p> </p><p>

<strong>LM:</strong> He’s got the looks and attitude, but not much besides that. Not that attitude is always a good thing. Most undisciplined student in my classes, gives me hell when I try to train the talent. I say we’ve kept him around long enough.</p><p> </p><p>

<strong>B:</strong> Agreed. What he does to himself is his own business, but when it’s toxic for the boys and the promotion, I will not stand for it. Got anyone in mind to replace him?</p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Av:</strong> Si señor</p><p> </p><p>

<em>El Avatar unwraps a poster in bright colors, displaying a long-haired luchador in a purple mask</em></p><p>

</p><div style="text-align:center;"><p><a href="</p><a href="http://s687.photobucket.com/user/Mukan_no_Teioh/media/TLL/ALL/LaBestiaPurpura.jpg.html" rel="external nofollow">http://s687.photobucket.com/user/Mukan_no_Teioh/media/TLL/ALL/LaBestiaPurpura.jpg.html"</a> target="_blank"><img src="<a href="http://i687.photobucket.com/albums/vv237/Mukan_no_Teioh/TLL/ALL/LaBestiaPurpura.jpg" rel="external nofollow">http://i687.photobucket.com/albums/vv237/Mukan_no_Teioh/TLL/ALL/LaBestiaPurpura.jpg"</a> border="0" alt=" photo LaBestiaPurpura.jpg"/></a></div><p></p><p></p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Av:</strong> They call him La Bestia Púrpura and he was trained by none other than Manuel Prieto!</p><p> </p><p>

<strong>B:</strong> Prieto?! How come he’s not working for OLLIE then?</p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Av:</strong> I wondered the same thing myself, especially since he plays the savage man. Aggression and ringside brawls are good for their product but I contacted him and he's even willing to try a different gimmick for us. Something closer to our style. Maybe we get to brand him as one of our own if we’re lucky.</p><p> </p><p>

<strong>LM:</strong> Don’t count on him though. Prieto probably just sent him out to gather experience, pay his dues and then join him in OLLIE. We won’t be able to do much to hold him once that happens. Don’t push him past midcard.</p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Av:</strong> Understood. While we’re at it, I also took the liberty of discussing gimmick changes with a few more people on our roster. Let me run you through those, then we’ll talk storylines.</p><p> </p><p>

<strong>B:</strong> You seem careful and reasonable, El Avatar. I appreciate that. It’s not often you meet a man like you in the fast paced mondo loco of lucha libre.</p><p> </p><p>

<em>El Bandido raises a glass of tequila. The other two join him and drink to the future of EMLL</em></p><p> </p><p>

Ryu Kajahara is in his office when someone knocks the door. The Grand Avatar walks in and takes a slight bow.

GA: You wanted to see me, Ryu-sama?

RK: Hai. I'll make this short. I want you to book for us.

GA: Me? I mean, I'm honored but... I just don't get it

RK: Listen kid, I may be old but I'm no fool. Back in the day we used to work with DAVE in the States. They were probably the better promotion and hardcore wrestling has more fans in America than Japan, but still they went bankrupt and we're still going.

GA: I still don't see where I fit in

RK: People called WE XXV "garbage wrestling" since day one but ask them how such "garbage" managed to stay afloat and they don't have an answer. They all get the counter culture part, but nobody understands the business side of it. Why go down the same road as everyone else and compete with the giants in what they already do best? Don't go there, enter the untapped hardcore market of Japan instead! We've been a monopoly since day one simply by being different. Now it's time to move on.

GA: By having a new booker that hasn't got much to do with hardcore wrestling? That would ruin the product, you already have a devoted fanbase...

RK: Confidence, young grasshopper! Sell yourself! I hope you don't cut promos like that as well... Anyway, my point is that since joining the New Japan Movement, we need to evolve. We're not giving up what made us who we are, but I want this place to be more than just about blood and guts. Now, what are my options? Puroresu is suicide and so is that american soap opera bull****. But people like you...

GA: I think I'm beginning to understand. You want some "actual" wrestling, but it has to be hard hitting enough to blend with your current style. It has to be fast paced and high flying enough to fit in with your risky spots. So you want to bring in the Super Juniors. Like myself.

RK: Exactly. We can benefit from this alliance and bring people like that over while our current roster gains exposure and experience elsewhere. All this is new territory, for WE XXV and for me. Which is why I'm giving you the book.

GA: It's certainly a challenge, this transition. But we can make it work

RK: Now, that's more like it!

<em>Daedalus Buchinsky enters in a rush and looks around, until he spots what he's been searching for. He walks to a table where Lucy Avatar is sitting with a newspaper and a steaming cup of what everyone around except her would achknowledge as tea.</em></p><p> </p><p>

</p><div style="text-align:center;"><p><a href="</p><a href="http://photobucket.com/" rel="external nofollow">http://photobucket.com/"</a> target="_blank"><img src="<a href="http://i195.photobucket.com/albums/z115/Scavenger68/TEW/ACPW/Lucy%20Avatar.jpg" rel="external nofollow">http://i195.photobucket.com/albums/z115/Scavenger68/TEW/ACPW/Lucy%20Avatar.jpg"</a> border="0" alt=" photo Lucy Avatar.jpg"/></a></div><p></p><p></p><p> </p><p>

<strong>DB:</strong> I'm not too late, eh?</p><p> </p><p>

<strong>LA:</strong> Not at all.</p><p> </p><p>

<em>Daedalus takes a seat at the table and makes himself comfortable while Lucy reluctantly takes a sip of tea from her cup.</em></p><p> </p><p>

<strong>DB:</strong> You wanted to see me. So what's this all about?</p><p> </p><p>

<strong>LA:</strong> Look Daedalus, there's no easy way to put it, which is why I didn't want to have this discussion at your office. I familiarized myself with the ACPW roster, I checked financial records and then I saw your e-mail about goals. This doesn't add up, so I did a SWOT analysis before making any decisions...</p><p> </p><p>

<strong>DB:</strong> Are we still talking wrestling? Because this sounds so very corporate</p><p> </p><p>

<strong>LA:</strong> We very much are, and let me remind you that wrestling is not just about the spectacle fans get to see. It's a business like any other and unless you want the promotion to go bankrupt within months, we should treat it as such. Which brings me to the main problem: funding. The talent is skilled and the talent is young, meaning they're still pretty cheap and they can be groomed to become something. On the flipside, there's a good chance once they get there, they're picked up by the bigger dogs in the prairies and we're left with nothing for our effort. Plus there's 4C. They may not be as big, but they're competition and their product is quite similar to ours. To top it all off, the very nature of the product means high injury risk and low chances of sponsorship. Do you understand what's ahead?</p><p> </p><p>

<strong>DB:</strong> You make it sound so very dramatic, Lucy</p><p> </p><p>

<strong>LA:</strong> That's because it is. ACPW is not doomed, but there's no room for error. Everything must be perfect. I have some initial ideas I wanted to run through with you</p><p> </p><p>

<strong>DB:</strong> I'm listening</p><p> </p><p>

<strong>LA:</strong> First of all, we sadly can't afford to display our full roster every show, meaning it'll take some more time for the boys to connect with the crowd. Second, I'll take up referee duty as well, which sadly means Royce Greig needs to go. Face Nelson can stay for the first show, but if the going gets rough, I'm cutting him loose too and you'll be taking his place.</p><p> </p><p>

<strong>DB:</strong> I assume you won't be hiring any new faces anytime soon, eh?</p><p> </p><p>

<strong>LA:</strong> Only if the old ones go. Chances are our top people will move to larger companies and someone new will have to fill the void on the roster. I should also let you know I intend to re-negotiate contracts, if not now, once it's time to renew them.</p><p> </p><p>

<strong>DB:</strong> Give it some time. Too many changes too fast can be too much to digest, both for fans and the boys.</p><p> </p><p>

<strong>LA:</strong> Thay have nothing to worry about as long as they do their part. Speaking of which, I'm really interested to see if Grim Quibble will be able to carry himself inside the ring. I saw some footage and it hurt my eyes, honest to God I wonder how he got this far. Sky King is next on that list. I'm just not convinced he's worth the money.</p><p> </p><p>

<strong>DB:</strong> Like I said, take it easy, Lucy.</p><p> </p><p>

<strong>LA:</strong> Oh I am taking it easy. I told you Face Nelson can stick around for now and I haven't even booked Sky King to check him out yet.</p><p> </p><p>

<strong>DB:</strong> Booked? You booked something already?</p><p> </p><p>

<strong>LA:</strong> Actually, I made this tentative card in case you agreed with me. We could discuss it if you'd like...</p><p> </p><p>

<strong>DB:</strong> You're the booker, I don't know much about that part. Let me check though, I'm curious...</p><p> </p><p>

<strong>KA:</strong> Shame the head honcho couldn't join us</p><p> </p><p>

<strong>V:</strong> You know Farrah, always busy with something. So busy actually, that I had to take over most of the training and backstage part in order to let her focus on business and PR. Now it looks like it's your turn to share the load and get some off my back.</p><p> </p><p>

<strong>KA:</strong> Oh I'd love to. Anything promoting legitimate women's wrestling, I'm in. Can't say I was sad to see BSC go.</p><p> </p><p>

<strong>V:</strong> True. So how come you didn't join AAA instead?</p><p> </p><p>

<strong>KA:</strong> Well, first of all they're pretty far and second, they kinda rest on their laurels, you know what I mean? QAW is unique in its blend of american wrestling and lucha libre but it's also hungry enough to fuel my passion.</p><p> </p><p>

<strong>V: </strong>So how's that working out for you?</p><p> </p><p>

<strong>KA:</strong> Awesome! I got to know the girls backstage and the place is electric. There's really a sense we can make it and judging by the tapes of past shows I watched, we realy can. I have a little masterplan of what I want to do, but first I want to feel out this whole thing. Here's what I'm thinking of for this month's show</p><p> </p><p>

Maybe we should get him to add a little more muscle and book him as an unstoppable monster. Anyway, find a way to get along with the guy. PSW owner Mitch Naess has yet to issue a statement, but backstage rumors say that the Sheik got off the wrong foot and was planning to release more legends such as JD Morgan, The Punisher and The Wolverine, a plan that made him less than popular with the roster and might have driven him out of the company"</p><p> </p><p>

Dark Forces (Madame Bat & Raquel Alvarado) vs Tex-Mex (Houston Handley & Teresa Perez)

The opening match was held under Lucha Libre rules in hopes of quick tags and rapid action that would fire up the crowd, but the in ring result wasn’t up to par. Dark Forces mercifully ended this fast with two straight falls, Raquel Alvarado scoring the first with a surprise rollup and Madame Bat delivering the devastating Bat’s Wings for the submission. Houston Handley took both losses which somehow earned her the crowd’s sympathy.

Grade: E+

Kate Avatar’s comments: Dark Forces salvaged this match with their excellent heel work that got the crowd all fired up and turned the match from a disaster to a lukewarm opener.

Millie the Minx vs Ashley Grover

Ashley Grover got a surprising pop, which she milked using her cowgirl gimmick. Millie the Minx seemed a little lost but still managed to make this match barely watchable, until she got herself into a Chicago Hope, Ashley’s finisher.

Grade: D-

Kate Avatar’s comments: I did not see this coming. Apparently Farrah Hesketh taught her protege well, Ashley is not just a spoiled golden girl (although we could play this into a storyline. Hmmm…). Milly paled in comparison, her psychology and inconsistency almost turned this into an extended squash match. Good thing Ashley was there to carry her.

<a href="

http://photobucket.com/" target="_blank"><img src="http://i195.photobucket.com/albums/z115/Scavenger68/TEW/QAW/Farrah%20Hesketh.jpg" border="0" alt=" photo Farrah Hesketh.jpg"/></a> <a href="http://photobucket.com/" target="_blank"><img src="http://i195.photobucket.com/albums/z115/Scavenger68/TEW/QAW/Kate%20Avatar.jpg" border="0" alt=" photo Kate Avatar.jpg"/></a>

Farrah Hesketh enters the ring and introduces QAW’s newest signing, Kate Avatar, who comes out to join her. The crowd isn’t really buying into it, but fortunately Hesketh gets back on the mic fast. She announces that she has decided to offer Avatar a position as her right-hand woman in the company and offers her hand to seal the deal. Kate Avatar shakes it and they both share a smug smile.

Grade: ?

Kate Avatar’s comments: Entertainment is not my strong point, thank God I had Farrah in there to carry me. This was mainly a setup for a storyline so it had to be done, but I dread the following segments and how I’ll do in them.

<a href="

Charity Sweet vs Darkness Cat vs Kate Avatar

Three hot prospects laid it out in the ring for a chance to rise in the pecking order. They all had a chance at the spotlight to display their skills, but ultimately Darkness Cat nailed Kate Avatar with the set-up move for her finisher. As she was preparing to deliver it, Charity Sweet attacked her seemingly out of nowhere and threw her outside the ring before quickly pinning Kate Avatar for the win.

Grade: E

Kate Avatar’s comments: I don’t know what on earth I had in mind when I booked this, but Vixxen did a great work out of this mess and had us all looking good. Again, this match was mainly about storyline. That’s why I kept Darkness Cat out of it since Charity had to win. Gosh, once she has some more matches under her belt, Charity’s gonna skyrocket to the top. Getting pinned kinda made me look like a joke after the previous segment, but again it’s a story thing. First show doesn’t have to be perfect, we’re just planting the seeds.

<a href="

Purple Viper vs Alexis Lee Littlefeather

In the first match of the night that actually had good in-ring action, Purple Viper dominated and won in just under four minutes with the Viper Bite.

Grade: E+

Kate Avatar’s comments: That was probably the worst squash match I could have booked. Alexis has all the presence in the world and I made her job to Viper, who’s too good for so fast matches, she barely had time to showcase her skills. At least they’re both popular enough to get a decent pop and hide how bad this match was booked.

QAW Shockwave Title Match: Alina America © vs Maribel Mercado

Alina America defended her Shockwave title against the woman she got it from. The rematch wasn’t as good as the original, mainly because there wasn’t a lot of buildup, but Alina maintained with a Southern Lights Bomb.

Grade: D-

Kate Avatar’s comments: Alina is going to be a star, but she’s still pretty green. Thankfully, Vixxen and Maribel’s work were enough to carry her for this match.

QAW Tag Team Title Match: The Anti-Establishment © vs Crackdown

Hellcat Hernandez and Pamela Rojo brought the fight to their opponents and proved why they are the reigning tag team champions. Juana Huracan and Toni Parisi put up one hell of a fight, but in the end it just wasn't enough to earn them a title victory.

Grade: D-

Kate Avatar’s comments: Somehow I thought Pamela Rojo was the weaker tag member, but it’s the other way round. Plus, a Running Bulldog? What kind of a finisher is that? I gotta sit down and talk with the champs because if they’re gonna be the focus of my booking, they have to be better than that.

Danielle Sweetheart enters the ring with a mic in her hand to a good reaction from the crowd. She talks about her scheduled match against Miss Mexico and how she's not afraid of the aging veteran, suggesting she should step aside and let the younger generation like herself shine.

Grade: E

<a href="

Danielle Sweetheart vs Miss Mexico

Miss Mexico didn't take kindly to Danielle's words before the match and she went on the offensive with a lot of slaps, trash talk and psychological warfare to disrespect her opponent. After the initial shock, Danielle Sweetheart recovered and it looked like this wake up call was all she needed, because she was fired up enough to control most of the match, until a desperate Miss Mexico reversed her finisher into a cover with a handful of tights.

Grade: D-

Kate Avatar’s comments: A semi-main event is meant to hype up the grand finale and these ladies did admirably in working the crowd. Miss Mexico blew up by the end of the match, but oddly enough it enhanced the narrative as it sold the desperation of her final move.

QAW World Title Match: Foxxy LaRue © vs Jillian Jarvis

Stiff shots and flashy moves made this an exciting match to watch. Momentum shifted back and forth, to the point where both competitors pulled off their finishers to get just a two count each. People in attendance stood at the edge of their seats and cheered Foxxy hard enough to hulk her up for the second wind that allowed her to retain the title.

Grade: D

Kate Avatar’s comments: This looked like Match of the Night on paper and it delivered. Crowd was hot, action was good but I was left a little thoughtful of Foxxy’s ability to be the face of the company. She has the X factor but seemed to cave under the stress of going all out and her stamina certainly didn’t help.

Daedalus Buchinsky is in his office and something is obviously bothering him. It is not certain whether he is irritated, stressed or something else. On his desk lies an open envelope, its contents laid out: a handwritten letter and a DVD case labelled "ACPW Call of the Wild". Daedalus takes a deep breath and picks up the letter.

"Dear Daedalus,

Allow me to apologize for moving the show out of ACPW's home territory, but it is my firm belief that if the company is to grow, it should do so out of a more densely populated area and Nova Scotia isn't it. I therefore decided to have our January 2013 show take place in the Windsor Arena Hall in Ontario. I understand that a turnover of just 14 people is not that great, but you have to understand that those people will have an audience to spread the word to, as opposed to a slightly larger Halifax crew who would have no one to tell how awesome ACPW was. That said, I am including a DVD of the show so you can watch what went down. As a form of "director's commentary", I have included a slip of paper with my notes. Please pause after each match and read the corresponding lines, they will make sense after you've seen it.

Sincerely,

Lucy Avatar"

Daedalus lets out a sigh and looks for the slip of paper mentioned in the letter. He then slides the DVD into his laptop and leans back on his comfortable chair to watch.

Kamikaze vs Alistair Shufflebottom for the ACPW Canadian Regional Title

The opening match lasts a little over 10 minutes and has enough high-octane action to warm up the crowd and give them a good taste of what they can expect, even if Kamikaze blows a couple of his spots. He does an amazing job of pulling off his Reverse 460 Splash finisher though and the audience loves it.

Grade: E+

Daedalus pauses and checks Lucy Avatar's notes

Kamikaze is still a bit green, but he's got what it takes to be an integral part of our roster. Alistair's pretty solid for where he stands, a true workhorse of a jobber.

The ACPW Junior Heavyweight Champion Grim Quibble comes down to the ring holding a microphone. He talks to the crowd about what he's been through to win the title, before Jamie Atherton's music hits the speakers. The arrogant youngster comes out to taunt Grim about his past gimmicks, which of course leads to a big argument, going back and forth on the microphone, before things take a violent turn and they start brawling. The locker room empties and wrestlers hit the ring to break them up.

The Gopher and the Ant © vs The Inner City Express for the ACPW Tag Team Titles

Both teams put up an exciting performance but ultimately Ant-Man picks up Malik Cash and nails him with the Ant Hill Mob while Topher Smith is on the apron fending off Jay Becker.

Grade: E

Daedalus checks the notes once more

Our tag team division is impressive and these two are probably the top duos so I made this match to showcase it. I have to confess I was a little wary of Jay and Malik's ability to keep it together, but they delivered. Depending on their improvement down the road, this might even evolve into a feud over the titles.

El Diablo vs Jayson Van Pelt

The crowd is hot from the tag match that came before and cheers for both wrestlers, who in return compensate them with the best action of the night so far. The match goes back and forth, allowing both competitors to display their skills, even if Jayson Van Pelt botches a couple. Such is the intensity that both struggle for air past the 10 minute mark but they still fight for 5' or more until El Diablo finally manages to execute the Diablo Driver II and win the match.

Grimm Quibble © vs Jamie Atherton for the ACPW Junior Heavyweight Title

Grimm Quibble is painful to watch. His lack of skills is made all the more worse by the fact that everyone so far has made this a fast paced, high flying show so of course the crowd quickly gives him the "you can't wrestle" chants. Jamie Atherton mercifully ends the Main Event with a Lightning Bolt to win the match and the ACPW Junior Heavyweight Title.

Daedalus checks the final notes

How did somebody like Grimm even make it to the roster? Not only is he bad, he's making others look bad and he doesn't fit the product. It was essential to take the belt off him and I wasn't happy to see that even after reading him the riot act post-show, he barely even flinched. We do not need his kind in the company, I will notify him that he can look for work elsewhere.

Deadalus Buchinski crushes the paper slip into a ball and throws it over to the garbage bin. He then picks up the phone

"Call Lucy Avatar and tell her that her little masterplan better pay off soon. I won't stand for utilizing half the roster in another town if it keeps damaging the budget. She's got until the quarterly in March."

<strong>Pumpkin Jack vs Pink Spider vs Mirror Universe John Gordon (with Guru Vishni)</strong></p><p><strong>

for the ZEN Conceptual Title</strong></p></div><p></p><p></p><p>

Show kicked off in typical ZEN wackiness, with a three way Ladder match for the Zen Conceptual Title. All three wrestlers started the match a little dumbfounded, as there was no actual belt hanging above. Eventually, they decided that climbing the ladder and grabbing the mere concept of an imaginary belt would do, providing a good opening match with a good mix of comendy and lots of high flying action. The fans embraced it and cheered Pumpkin Jack to his sixth successful defense of the title.</p><p>

After the match, the three wrestlers began arguing over the legitimacy of Pumpkin Jack's win and whether he had meditated enough at the top of the ladder to really "grasp" the concept of the title, but the joke had already been milked dry and wasn't made any better by having three gassed out men talking over each other.</p><p>

The match was held under Lucha Libre tag rules, meaning once a wrestler was out of the ring, their partner could enter the fray and become legal without the need for a tag. This allowed for a fast paced, high flying match and ZEN's top competitors managed to prevent this from becoming an overcrowded mess. The heels of F.E.A.R. teamed up, but so did the babyface teams who targeted the weakest link, the inexperienced Massacre. With the numbers game against them, Halloween Knight and the reigning champion Necromancer still managed to eliminate the Sky Kings, taking advantage of C-W-A's sudden appearance and custard pie attack to Vertigo. It was a one on one between The Enemy and the tag champs for the straps, which saw them retain after a heroic comeback.</p><p>

After taking all 7 companies into their first event of the year (Sheik "resigned" from PSW and they never re-hired him) and as I prepare to jump to TEW'16, I'm beginning to see it takes too much work if I ever wanted to play this in the long run. It's not just work, it's that having so many characters and storylines takes away from the ability to focus, tell a story and develop them. I realized I'm supposed to be practicing my creative writing on this thread and instead I'm giving one-line summaries of matches. TEW'16 will see me running just one promotion (not that I needed the 8 company game to decide this) but I'll have to remind myself to work more on the writing part.

Most of WEXXV's rabid fans arrived early to catch a glimpse of the pre-show. Taheiji Konoe and Bull Wrecker made it worth their while, beating the crap out of each other in a Light Tube match. The gaijin swung the tubes like clubs, smashing them on Konoe's head and back to the delight of the fans who got an early taste of blood. As for Gareth Wayne, he displayed some blatant disregard for his own safety and even licked the blood off his face with joy, displaying a more deranged side than he usually does.
