mwalter
I'm getting killed in the QB sack department. I pass a lot, so I expect to be get sacked, but it's my defense's failure to register many sacks that is confounding me. I'm running a 4-3 defense with a slightly higher than average blitz percentage in my defensive game plan. My DL's and LB's seem to have good pass rush ratings. Am I missing something obvious that I should be doing to get my defense to the QB more often?
william1993
well strength and speed and instincts have a lot to do with it. If your rush men have strong pass rush skills but are weak in the strength department or their instincts are bad then it will degrade their overall sack ability
mwalter
Since my first post I noticed that all my starters are labeled as "power" lineman. If that means they are better suited as run blockers then I should probably be trying to recruit some guys who are scouted as being potentially good pass blockers. I noticed also that my defensive lineman are primarily labeled as "run stoppers," so I guess I need to specifically look for some guys scouted as pass rushers.
