Question about overness after Pay-per-views

Recommended Posts

Usually if you have a slightly less popular worker go over a more popular worker on a pay-per-view some of that overness is transferred over to the less popular guy in all the regions where that ppv was shown.

I'm noticing in my current game that, when a less over guy (43 popularity for example) beats a more over guy (50 for example), his popularity only increases in my home region (tri-state), despite it being on pay-per-view worldwide.

Just wanted to know if this is just part of the game or if there is a cause for this. It's happened on basically all my shows for a year and it's to a point where none of my workers get any more popular.

The only way you would only get a popularity change in one region is if your event is only being seen by fans in that one region. It sounds like you aren't actually setting your broadcasters for the event properly. When you get to the booking of your event you need to set each broadcaster individually on the first screen, events don't automatically set their broadcasters which has caught some people out (the flexibility of setting them manually allows for you to do region specific events, for example). :)

I even got the note at the end of the show that the company's popularity increased in all 45 regions, so I'm not sure why workers are only being affected in one region.</p>

Hmmm.... in that case, the only other thing I could think that it could be is the coverage level of the provider. Smaller sizes (anything below medium) get you far smaller changes in popularity but the level of coverage for an event is considered to be at least medium in the region the show is held. That might be the case here. Especially if the worker who should be making gains has lower star quality.

Beyond that, I can't think of anything else that could cause that.
