The kayfabe story:

In April of 2017, the Trump administration announces it is going to war with American corporate monopolies. Not long after the announcement #BustUpWWE begins trending all over social media and quickly becomes one of the unavoidable targets. Trump's administration had not planned on it, but amidst political pressure, was left with no choice. WWE has several internal meetings and presents the monopoly committee with a proposal it accepts.

WWE programming goes off the air at the end of the May. All broadcasting deals are terminated effective June 1st, 2017. Vince McMahon hosts and announces his retirement on the final Monday Night Raw before the monopoly bust up.

Shortly after the final Raw, details begin to surface about the monopoly bust up. The company will be divided into three companies, WWE, WCW and ECW. Stephanie McMahon and Paul Levesque heading WWE. Shane McMahon heading WCW. Paul Heyman heading ECW. Stephanie made it known she planned to double down on the "PG" product and focus on the younger audience. Shane revealed during interviews that WCW would head in the direction that WWE did during the Attitude Era. Heyman said ECW would be going back to what made them great, hardcore wrestling. This time around including a women's division.

On June 17th, 2017, the company owner's gathered to draft the WWE and NXT rosters and divide the workers among the three companies. The draft was serpentine and would last as many rounds as the owners were willing to go. The first five draft picks would be offered 5-year contracts and if the worker declined would be blacklisted from all three companies for two years. Eventually all three companies agreed to finish drafting after the 41st round. The rest of the workers to be released. The first five round results are listed below and the complete list can be found in the first comment after this post.

Round 1

ECW Jon Moxley

WWE John Cena

WCW Tyler Black

Round 2

WCW Nick Nemeth

WWE Roman Reigns

ECW Shinsuke Nakamura

Round 3

ECW AJ Styles

WWE Ashley Flair

WCW Samoa Joe

Round 4

WCW Kevin Steen

WWE Austin Aries

ECW Alexis Kaufman

Round 5

ECW Randy Orton

WWE Mauro Ranallo

WCW Mercedes KV

The technical side of things:

All three companies will start with 65 prestige, B+ momentum, high-cult popularity, $50M in the bank, no broadcasting deals to start, no development companies, and no alliances. In the interest of fairness, also no WWE Network. All three companies are set up to have a 2 hour A-show on Monday nights to set up a three way Monday Night War.

Each company will be very unique in terms of product. WWE will be primarily Mainstream and Modern. WCW will be mostly Realism and Cult. ECW will be mostly Hardcore and Cult.

Tonight, March 4th, vtechguy, dxreydx, and myself each acted as a company owner and drafted the WWE and NXT roster among the three companies. I am very satisfied with the results how each company looks going forward.

The biggest task left is working my way through a bulk of the roster and assigning personalities to workers who do not have any deviations from the default balanced personality.

Looks Quite promising I'd love to play the mod and actually has a good logical backstory compared to some others in the Return of WCW & ECW story most of them I've seen are messy and their backstory is made up on the spot its nice to see one that looks good.

<p>Then you can edit your disagreements. I am a huge ECW fan and I can tell you Paul Heyman does not confine himself to 1997. He was constantly introducing different types of wrestling that fans had not seen before. And if it didn't work? Scrap it. Ruins the spirit of the company? This scenario is not intended to carbon copy the cult attraction ECW of the 90s. The scenario divides WWE into three companies, each with their own new and unique vision. If you'll notice WCW is going to be more "edgy" than WWE, which is the opposite of the late 90s also.</p><p> </p><p> </p><blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-username="Chikbot" data-cite="Chikbot" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="43383" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div>I get that<p> </p><p> But they'd never be signed in the first place. Some of these signings don't make sense in the logic of the companies tbh. Like ECW would never pick up Kane and Big Show unless its a last resort sort of thing.

Heyman basically re-invented Big Show into the best and most dominant he ever was under WWE in 2006 imo.

I dont really know if Kane would work for ECW, He's probably better off being a WWE part timer on the verge of retirement like he is now.

I get that

But they'd never be signed in the first place. That makes ECW look more like WWECW.

There was no real "big men" in ECW besides 911 and a few guests every now and then.

Signing them ruins the spirit of the company.

This is the problem of actually doing a draft with your buds instead of doing research and actually building a draft yourself.

I like what you're doing here though, keep it up.

Also you have to think about it like this.

We see all of these guys as they are in WWE. That doesnt mean we see the full range of how Cult, Edgy or "Extreme" they can really be if given the creative liberty to.

We saw Dean Douglas and Johnny Polo in WWF. Just because that was Vince McMahon's vision for him, doesnt mean thats all they could've possibly been as history proved correct.

Who is to say that Kane would be this gimmicky character that we've always known him to be in WWE in an ECW with Heyman's complete booking control, in 2017? Odds are we'd get a much more demonic, barbaric version of him that may give a new life to his character.

<p>UPDATE: While on my honeymoon, my computer caught a virus that blocked all incoming and outgoing ways to transfer data. I could not back things up onto a flash drive, a CD, connect to the internet, use bluetooth, anything. I lost a LOT of critical information, including my work so far on WWo3. Could I use the already posted alpha release and go forward from there? Yes, but to be truthful I have lost a lot of motivation for this project because of the virus.</p><p> </p><p>

THE GOOD NEWS: My awesome new wife purchased a new fantastic computer on her credit card for me. I also have a new project I am VERY passionate about. Thread coming soon. Thank you everyone for your interest and contributions. I hope that you will read this and understand why I am going the way that I am and that this was not a matter of me losing interest and fading away after posting a hype thread. I live and breathe TEW when it comes to my free time. My first full, completed, total package mod is coming, I promise. <img alt=":)" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/smile.png.142cfa0a1cd2925c0463c1d00f499df2.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p>
