Some of the most exciting parts of New Japan Pro Wrestling are the many different factions and various allied promotions that do battle in the ring. From the iconic Bullet Club to sinister Suzuki-gun and even the thoroughly tranquilo Los Ingobernables de Japón, this picture pack has them all — it’s designed to add flair, colour and immersion to your NJPW game.</p><p> </p><p>

This picture pack is fully compatible with Fleisch's <a href="http://www.greydogsoftware.com/forum/showthread.php?t=533463" rel="external nofollow">Real World Chronicles</a> -- nearly all images will show automatically (events and some titles may have to be set manually).</p><p> </p><p>

This is <strong>not</strong> a comprehensive picture pack of every worker in the game, but will continue to expand in future releases — though NJPW and its partner promotions will take precedence, large promotions such as WWE and AAA will see additions too. <strong>In 1.1, over 200 pictures have been added, including new promotions All Japan Pro Wrestling and Wrestle-1.</strong></p><p> </p><p>

Until then, for a full visual experience you are recommended to supplement the Faction Pack with a complete image set (you can download one with RWC). Paste the Faction Pack files into the appropriate folders afterwards and select 'replace' for any duplicates.</p><p> </p><p>

I've done my own playtesting to make sure everything works, and the results are beautiful (if I do say so myself). I hope you agree, and please don’t hesitate to leave feedback and suggestions! I am also currently taking <strong>requests</strong> on any of the Faction Packs backgrounds.</p><p> </p><p>

<p>I've been away from here for months but have popped back on today to get a new update (the September pack by Fleisch) and then saw this link that he put in his thread. Wow, these pics are fantastic.</p><p> </p><p>

It would be great to hopefully see TNA/GFW someday as that seems to be the company I go to 99.9% of the time (trying to fix the neverending mess!) but appreciate all you've done up to now so much.</p><p> </p><p>

Let me also say that after seeing your note at the end of your last update and seeing as I've dealt with mental health issues for the majority of my life, I hope all is as best it can be and that you're doing ok generally.</p>

Sorry for the long silence here. As I posted before, I've had a period of poor mental health. I live with depression, anxiety and OCD -- the latter in particular usually means I gravitate towards creative and ordered stuff such as these graphics, but too much work and too little rest usually sends me crashing down. It's hard to balance all of that with poor sleep and energy, and it usually means I can't sustain long-term creative projects.

 

As for the NJPW Faction Packs, I've come to a decision that in spite of all the wonderful praise and support it's not a project I should continue. Cuts with a fixed faction background are nice within limited contexts, but the nature of the pack limits TEW's organic nature and freedom -- for instance, if you wanted to sign John Cena to NJPW you'd want a cut on that background, and if he later joined Bullet Club you'd want a cut on -that- background. It gets even worse when you expand things beyond just NJPW, especially with the constantly changing nature of the wrestling world nowadays. Thus I don't think the Faction Packs are ultimately sustainable, as nice as they looked.

 

During my break I've become a great admirer of Joemurphy's Super Awesome Pic Pack and its uniform clean style. I wanted to do something that took the best parts of his pack and my own Faction Pack, and I've decided to start with cuts featuring personal graphics (from titantrons or other promotional material). That way, for example John Cena has a specific background that fits him and his character whether he's in WWE, NJPW or whatever.

 

The size is slightly smaller than most of Joemurphy's cuts (personal taste) but would definitely complement his much larger pack; they're also proportioned to work alongside my existing Faction Packs should you prefer that instead.

Are there any plans for an ECW or Lucha Underground sets (old and new, complete with belts, logos, banners and events)? They would be awesome in the mod. The same with AAA, CMLL, MLW and The Crash.
