Duane and Emma's introduction to the show would be hastened somewhat compared to usual, as when the PPV got underway, Eric Eisen was already making his way to the ring. Eric wasn't alone though, with a rather large companion following him to the ring. After welcoming everyone to the show, Eric filled in the blanks- while sadly he wasn't able to let Everest answer the open challenge on Supreme TV this past Tuesday, he had come up with a make-good and now, rather than offering one opportunity, he was offering two. Tonight he'd be competing in another Open Invitational match to make up for Tuesday. And to make things up to Everest, he'd offered him the prestigious position of his official bodyguard. Eric claimed this proved once again that the Eisens were all about giving, before inviting his opponent for the night to come on down. (C+)

Eric Eisen Open Invitational Match

Eric Eisen w/Everest vs. Jimmy Hernandez

Hernandez certainly met Eric's new weight requirement, but beating him proved no small task for the former World Champion. Eric may have been used to having things his own way with the Open Invitational in recent weeks, but Hernandez proved a tricky customer, finding a way to keep the match far more competitive than Eric would have liked and convincing the crowd that Eric might actually be shut up. Eric though had a new trick up his sleeve. And sure enough, when the opportunity arose, Eric distracted the referee and allowed Everest to level Hernandez with a clothesline on the outside, almost flipping him inside out from the force. Once Hernandez was flung back in, he was much easier pickings for Eisen and not long afterwards, The Supremacy landed to give Eric another win in his Open Invitational.

Winner: Eric Eisen, via pinfall, in 8:21

Backstage, Ana Garcia was with Brandon James and Krissy Angelle at the interview area. Krissy explained on behalf of Brandon that tonight was about two goals. Number one, he was going to get his hands on Valiant and prove decisively who the better man was between the two of them. And number two, after winning the battle royal, Brandon would wipe the floor with Joey Morgan and take the North American Championship, pointing out that more championships meant more money and that Brandon was and always had been the true Big Money player in the SWF. Mikey Lau vs. Hollywood Bret Starr

It was put up or shut up for Starr, after his complaints of a 'fluke pin' by Lau at When Hell Freezes Over. Starr came into this with a clear gameplan- cheat at every opportunity and it seemed to work. Whenever it looked like Lau was about to rifle off a series of kicks, a resourceful thumb to the eye or resorting to pulling the referee in the way allowed Starr to put a stop to it. Starr's tactic was going well, but one mistimed corner charge turned things right around. And once Lau got going it seemed Starr had no answer to the barrage of kicks he was met with. There was a twist in the tail however, as with Starr claiming injury to the referee to try and gain a breather, Sammy Smoke would appear and drop Lau's neck across the top rope. Incapacitated briefly, Lau stumbled into the path of the Hollywood Hammer and Starr had picked up a victory that he scarsely deserved.

Winner: Hollywood Bret Starr, via pinfall, in 8:40

Starr seemed as surprised about the outcome as anyone though and that fact was pointed out on commentary by Duane, as Smoke left up the aisle taunting not Lau but Starr, who was clearly confused about why the interference had occured. ©

In the backstage area, we dropped in on another conversation between Jessie and Kristen Pearce, with Jessie doing most of the talking for once. Jessie tried to explain to Kristen that now wasn't a great time to be testing out a new manager during Angry Gilmore's matches and particularly not tonight with a World Title shot on the line. Kristen naturally seemed put out by this and Jessie insisted that she'd try and ask again when the timing was right, to which Kristen replied that she'd better. Before Jessie could leave, Kristen then stopped her and handed her something we don't see, telling Jessie that if 'Tom' doesn't want her at ringside then she'd better show him this for her. Jessie seemed confused, as she watched Kristen walk off before heading off in the opposite direction. ©

SWF World Tag Team Championship, Triple Threat Match

The Awesomeness © vs. The Amazing Bumfholes vs. The Pain Alliance

The Awesomeness didn't look their usual cocky selves here tonight, given that they had two teams to get past and the fact Jefferson was pinned two nights ago. This certainly seemed like their biggest test to date. It's hard to say whether they rose to the occasion or not, as they spent quite a bit of the match on the apron leaving The Pain Alliance and The Bumfholes to go at it, keeping themselves fresh, but forcing themselves to keep darting into the ring to break up pinfalls and preserve their titles. Once they eventually got directly involved in the match they formed a tentative alliance with Big Smack and Laramee, ensuring Zimmy was worked over for a bit. The Awesomeness couldn't sneak a win without The Pain Alliance breaking it up though and soon enough, Zimmy had brought in Randy during an arguement between the two other teams and chaos ensued with all six men in the ring. Huey and Randy would hit dives to the floor on The Pain Alliance, allowing Zimmy to almost roll up Jefferson for the win and the titles. In the end though, it was Jefferson who'd redeem himself for Tuesday night, picking his spot and catching Big Smack with a springboard kick amidst the chaos and holding him down just long enough for the three to retain the belts.

Lucky to have gotten away with the win, The Awesomeness looked mighty relieved as they celebrated their win in the aisle, barely able to hide that relief as they clutched the Tag Team Titles to their chests and kissed them repeatedly. ©

In the catering area we found BJ O'Neill, filling up from the salad bar. As she did so the camera panned out to reveal Justin Sensitive in his lab coat looking on, shaking his head disapprovingly and with a pained expression on his face. Approaching the bikini clad Hawaiian, Sensitive carefully tapped her on the shoulder and introduced himself. He explained that he noticed her from across the room and he wanted to talk to her about skincare. O'Neill, naturally, assumed that Sensitive wanted to share tips, but it turned out that that was far from what he had in mind. Producing a tube from his coat pocket, he presented her, Sensitivity. With this, her skin would be soft and delicate, not shiny and oily. And if she was going to show off so much skin then, well, it might as well look better than it does. O'Neill actually heard Sensitive out, albeit through gritted teeth and took the tube from him, asking how quick this stuff was supposed to work. Sensitive confidently claimed that it'd take just a couple of days, so O'Neill suggested that maybe she'd try it out and get back to him on Tuesday to give him her verdict. Sensitive seemed pleased with this and happily agreed, before offering a further tip, that she should probably start with her back. As Sensitive then exited, O'Neill shook her head in disbelief, with a look that clearly suggested she had more than consumer feedback on her mind for Sensitive on Tuesday. (C-)

North American Championship Number One Contenders Battle Royal

With a North American Championship shot potentially minutes away, all ten competitors looked focused and determined on their way out. The wildcard thrown into the mix two nights ago was the return of Skull DeBones and it quickly became apparent that everybody else in the match had one eye on him, with no less than four people going after him right from the bell. One of those was not Jungle Lord, who pursued Joe Sexy, with Sexy doing his best to hide behind Brandon James and force those two to fight instead.

It took a while for the first elimination to come, maybe because DeBones was being targetted by so many of those involved. But DeBones would keep fending people off and eventually found enough space to grab Squeeky by the throat, before hurling him over the top to the floor. Robbie Retro wasn't far behind and Duane said that was why DeBones had to be considered the odds-on favourite to win. Being the favourite made him a marked man though and pretty soon the rest of those in the ring had turned their attentions his way again. This time, DeBones couldn't fight them off and with the combined efforts of Brandon James, The Crippler, Joe Sexy, Frederique and even Jungle Lord, DeBones was shockingly gone, to boos from the crowd.

Eliminated: Squeeky McClean (by DeBones), Robbie Retro (by DeBones), Skull DeBones (by James, Crippler, Sexy, Frederique and Jungle Lord)

Seven men were left and the match would slow back down for a while into a normal battle royal pattern, until Jungle Lord was able to fight off the attack of Sexy and Frederique and fire back up. Frederique was sent aside with an overhand right and Sexy's attempts to beg off fell on deaf ears, so he tried to fight. Jungle Lord overwhelmed Sexy though and after sending him to the ropes, a big clothesline sent Sexy up and over to the floor, causing Jungle Lord to beat his chest. A few minutes later, Paul Huntingdon had thought he'd eliminated Brandon James, but Big Money only went to the apron and Huntingdon's desperate attempts to put him out the rest of the way only ended with him being bundled over the top and out, much to his dismay. While the referees tried to convince Huntingdon to leave, Joe Sexy would then suddenly return from the back, this time with James Prudence in tow. And their distraction allowed Frederique to run into Jungle Lord from behind, the combined efforts of The Fabulous Three making sure Jungle Lord hit the floor and was eliminated, at which point Sexy and Prudence sprinted to the back, with Jungle Lord in hot pursuit.

Eliminated: Joe Sexy (by Jungle Lord), Paul Huntingdon (by James), Jungle Lord (by Frederique w/Prudence and Sexy's help)

That left us down to four- Frederique, Valiant, The Crippler and Brandon James. Taking a corner each, the four would tentatively circle before going at it, nobody looking to form any sort of alliance. Frederique would be the first to go at the hands of Brandon James and at that point James decided to go after Valiant, with Crippler looking like he'd stand aside and let him. Valiant would fight back against both, forcing them to actually team up to shut him back down. But at that point Crippler showed his true colours and went after James. That lack of teamwork would cost them, as James drilled Crippler with a spinebuster, then went to clothesline Valiant over the top, only to be backdropped out. Crippler and Valiant would then brawl briefly before Valiant was sent over the top, landing on the apron, then catching Crippler with a snapmare of sorts to bring him to the apron with him. A fight would ensue on the apron, both teetering on the brink of elimination, before a running knee from Valiant stunned The Crippler and he was hurled off the apron into the edge of the announce table to give Valiant the victory.

Eliminated: Frederique Antonio Garcia (by James), Brandon James (by Valiant), The Crippler (by Valiant)

Winner: Valiant, in 18:51

(B-)

As Valiant's hand was raised in victory and he wearily climbed back into the ring, on the outside more referees were out trying to hold Brandon James back, who was fuming at Valiant's win. Valiant waved him on but James was unable to get past the sea of referees. And his mood wasn't improved much when Joey Morgan's music hit and the North American Champion made his way out, forcing Valiant to refocus while James was ushered to the back by the officials. SWF North American Championship

Joey Morgan © vs. Valiant w/Hannah

Having gone through a near twenty minute battle royal, Valiant understandably got off to a bad start, with Morgan sensing his opponent's fatigue and taking him to the mat to wear him down even more. Morgan would have things much his own way for the early minutes, but Valiant wasn't going down without a fight and kept kicking out as Morgan went for covers after every high impact move he landed. Finding some reserves of energy from somewhere, Valiant managed to fight back midway into the match, turning this into the competitive title match the fans would have hoped for. And Valiant, having fought so hard for the shot, looked like he might take the title, right up until the point that a high knee sent Morgan to the floor. Valiant looked to take a rest with the count being put on Morgan, but he was suddenly blindsided by a returning Brandon James, causing the DQ.

Winner: Valiant, via disqualification, in 8:59

(B)

Duane condemned James's actions on commentary as he put the boots to Valiant, Valiant too exhausted to fight his rival off. A Big Money Move left Valiant motionless in the centre of the ring and James even threatened to take a swipe at the referee in his anger, before he eventually left the ring, damage done. Duane claimed Brandon was the poorest sport we'd ever seen in the SWF, but Emma of course lept to his defence. (B)

Backstage Ana Garcia was standing by with Angry Gilmore. Ana asked if Gilmore was concerned at all that Rogue had a plan up his sleeve to beat him tonight and Gilmore said he was sure Rogue did have a plan, but those plans had never gotten the job done thus far. Ana asked if Gilmore was worried about the steel chair Rogue had been using in recent weeks, but Gilmore claimed he wasn't concerned about that either. He said no matter what Rogue was planning, history had shown that he had Rogue's number and as far as the chair went, he might just have a secret weapon of his own. (C+)

http://i799.photobucket.com/albums/yy276/cbacon87/SWF/MANAGERS/Jessie%20Manager_zpsxhb60dqw.jpghttp://i799.photobucket.com/albums/yy276/cbacon87/SWF/Angry%20Gilmore_zpsrvwbe8ed.jpghttp://i799.photobucket.com/albums/yy276/cbacon87/SWF/SWFSHOWS/VS_zpspx8c3dxl.jpghttp://i799.photobucket.com/albums/yy276/cbacon87/SWF/Rogue_zpsafrak7zs.jpg

World Championship #1 Contenders Match

Angry Gilmore w/Jessie vs. Rogue

The record between these two was certainly one-sided in the favour of Angry Gilmore going in to this one. Rogue seemed particularly confident here despite that, which clearly concerned Duane even if it didn't concern Gilmore. After all, when it came to Rogue's propensity to bending the rules, the clue was in the name. Gilmore stuck to his typical gameplan and tried to outwrestle Rogue early on, which he did, causing Rogue's confidence to wane just a little. Rogue eventually managed to turn the tide though, as he slid a steel chair into the ring. It was right in front of the official, but it proved to be just a decoy, as he thumbed Gilmore in the eyes while the official was occupied and flung him into the steel steps, damaging Gilmore's shoulder.

The arm and shoulder became Rogue's focus as it was his turn to control the match for a while. Gilmore found himself in the unfamiliar position of being down on the mat and put through a variety of holds by his opponent, leaving Jessie looking more and more concerned as things wore on. The pace would pick up again when Gilmore got off the mat and back into it and both men began looking for the win at that point, a sudden sense of urgency now injected into the battle. Gilmore's arm would bother him for the rest of the match and that gave Rogue an opportunity to halt his momentum more than once. But Gilmore fought through the pain and stayed right with Rogue all the way to the finish, bad arm and all. Whatever Rogue's plan was coming in, it seemed to go out of the window as Gilmore missed the Sky High Elbow and landed on the bad arm. Glancing towards the timekeeper's area, it seemed like Rogue was eyeing up a chair. But with Gilmore down and hurt already, he decided against it. That proved to be his undoing though, as he would go for Crashing On, but not connect. Gilmore had an ingenious and unexpected counter for it, one which trapped Rogue into a surprise pin which kept him down for the three and gave Gilmore the victory and the number one contendership.

Winner: Angry Gilmore, via pinfall, in 22:28

(B)

Duane put over the resourcefulness of Gilmore as he celebrated the win, despite the bad arm. And Duane pointed out that Gilmore would be watching the main event very closely now, because next month Gilmore would be facing the winner for the World Heavyweight Championship. (B)

Before the main event, a video aired hyping the match. The powerful and imposing champion, versus the popular, charismatic challenger. (B)

SWF World Heavyweight Championship

Remo © vs. Jack Bruce

As main events go, this might have been the biggest in some time. Remo, the reigning World Champion against Jack Bruce, the man who'd held the gold more than anyone in history. As such, the crowd were amped up for this from the get-go.

If this was worthy of being a Supreme Challenge main event, it certainly resembled one, with both guys holding nothing back. Jack would go for the victory mere minutes into the match, but Remo was able to avoid the New York Minute. Remo responded soon afterwards by going for The Destroyer, but Bruce was ready for it and met him running in with an elbow. A big brawl around the ring and up the ramp saw Bruce taking a suplex on the steel that echoed around the arena. Remo was hit with a DDT on the apron when they fought back to the ring and a tornado DDT once they were both back inside in for a two count. Remo eventually regained his bearings despite the pressure Jack was continuing to put him under and came up with a potentially match altering move a few minutes later, delivering The Destroyer onto the apron after Bruce was knocked through the ropes. Bruce narrowly avoided being counted out and losing the match, beating the count back in at nine, but Remo didn't seem to be too phased and simply went back on the offence.

The pace would eventually take it's toll on both men, with the match slowing considerably as time went on and the match passed the fifteen minute mark. Remo was on top, but clearly he was feeling the effects just as much as Jack was, even if he was on his feet more than the challenger. Remo looked to have retained the gold as he finally hit The Destroyer in the middle of the ring, but Bruce shocked everyone by kicking out. Despite the pain and the exhaustion, Bruce was then able to catch Remo out of nowhere with a New York Minute moments later, but Remo got his shoulder up before the three as well.

Both looked drained as the match drew to a close and it seemed to be a matter of who could actually hit a clean shot to finish things by the end. Jack drew on the crowd's support to put up a fight, Remo staying with him through sheer stubborn determination not to give up his championship. Unfortunately, we wouldn't find out who the better man really was tonight, as The Crippler would make his presence known at the finish. With Jack's back turned and the referee checking on Remo after being stunned by a jawbreaker, The Crippler would leap to the apron and smash Jack in the back of the neck with a double sledge, dropping him to the mat. And that would leave Bruce easy pickings for another Destroyer and the win for Remo, albeit far from decisive.

Winner and still SWF World Heavyweight Champion: Remo, via pinfall, in 21:09

(C+)

The show closed with Remo celebrating with the title, clearly exhausted as he raised the World Title above his head. Duane couldn't hide his disappointment at the way things went down, but however it went down, Remo was still the SWF World Heavyweight Champion. (B)

Post Show Report

Well, no sugar coating it. That was disappointing. Very disappointing. I think we all had the same vibe back here that I'm guessing you had watching along, the show lacked some juice and the main event really hurt the show as a whole. I figured that'd be a home run, but apparently not.

 • The Positives

Eric was superb again with his promo work. You can sense he's really getting into this open invitational deal. Or maybe he just really likes the freedom to say whatever he wants on a live microphone.

It's early days but Kristen seems to be settling into her role as the Schemer newcomer. She did a better job tonight than she had done prior, so positive signs going forward.

 • The Negatives

The main event. Simply put, it didn't go to plan. Same deal as Gilmore and Rogue on the first show of the year, they tried to do too much and the match went too long. It sucks to see someone like Jack in a match that just doesn't work, he's a legend. He was really off his game tonight though and I think the way the match was structured had a lot to do with it. Too long, too taxing. A real shame.

The other problem tonight was the battle royal, which was probably placed in a bad spot. Telling the guys to focus on getting the crowd going in a battle royal made some sense, after all, it's just a battle royal. But following the Tag Title match, the crowd were ready for something more substantial. James didn't have a great showing either, which considering he got the most eliminations probably didn't help.

 • Gimmick Changes

Everest's new Bodyguard role didn't get a real strong reaction either way. It probably didn't help that he was overshadowed by Eric. But it should be fine.

Sammy Smoke's new role as a Cocky heel went down a lot better though, he's great at it. It's a little more generic than the Conman character we had him playing but with his position on the card, something a little broader is okay.

Zimmy and Randy made the adjustment to play more Wholesome Old School Faces tonight. Randy did okay but Zimmy did a very good job and I get the feeling it's going to suit him a whole lot more, which was the reason for making the change in the first place. Zimmy's great at getting sympathy.

 • Talent Concerns

Maryam Vega signed her contract before the show and she'll be starting up in Rhode Island next week. I'm surprised FREEDOM were going to be willing to let her go, but it's a good get for us.

---

So, I'm learning a few things as I go here. One of which being, don't get cute with the Match Aims.

IPW OWNER CRITICISES SWF IN INTERVIEW

Gil Thomas, the owner of Invincible Pro Wrestling out of the South West, conducted an interview this past week and made a number of scathing remarks directed at the SWF. What began as a regular run of the mill interview regarding his own company soon turned to the more general topic of the wrestling business as a whole. Thomas apparently took this as a chance to get people's attention or maybe just have a rant, as he claimed that he was "delighted" that the SWF were being challenged for their position as the #1 promotion in North American wrestling. Thomas claimed that the SWF were responsible for "more cheap-ass, mainstream trash content than the rest of the business put together" and he hoped they were knocked off their perch so that "someone with an ounce of credibility could make the wrestling business cool".

The SWF have responded to the seemingly unprovoked comments by not reacting. Word from the SWF side is that they were surprised Thomas took a shot at them and dismissed it as a local promoter trying to gain some publicity.

RIPW RIVALRY REPORT

After retaining the RIPW Championship last month at Championship Battle over Ekuma, "Rivalry" posed champion Spencer Spade another equally daunting task. Fresh off of an impressive victory over Matty Faith on that same show, Primus Allen was granted a shot at the RIPW Title. And he made sure Spade would be pushed all the way in his second defence since regaining the title. Allen, the former nose tackle at West Missouri Tech, out-weighed the champion by some 70-odd pounds, meaning Spade had to dig deep to find a way to withstand the challenger's power and win. But win he did, after Allen got a little too over-exuberant, missed a shoulder charge in the corner and left himself open for the champion to put him away to cap a tough title defence.

Elsewhere on the show, the USA Championship would be on the line again and for the second month in a row the champion Robbie Wright would retain but in unconvincing fashion, this time beating the referee's ten count to score a win over Ranger; "The African Assassin" Lassana Makutsi put away Masked Patriot in a back and forth encounter between two promising competitors; and the opening tag team match pitting Avalanche and Chill, The Domination, against the new team of Dominic DeSousa and the debuting JOJI ended without a clear conclusion, as the two teams fought to the fifteen minute time limit.

RIPW's next event will be the second annual March To Victory tournament, with last year's winner Masked Patriot, RIPW Champion Spencer Spade and Ekuma already confirmed to be involved.

RIPW RIVALRY- The Domination (Avalanche and Chill) went to a time limit draw with JOJI and Dominic De Sousa (E+), USA TITLE: Robbie Wright defeated Ranger by count out (E+), Lassana Makutsi defeated Masked Patriot (D), RIPW TITLE: Spencer Spade defeated Primus Allen to retain the RIPW Title (D+)

Bruce cut right to the chase, saying that he might not be standing here as the seven time SWF World Champion as he'd hoped to and there was one man responsible for that, Chris Morrisette. Bruce explained that as much as he was upset about not being champion, he was just as upset that he and Remo didn't get to settle what was one of the most gruelling matches he'd been involved in in a long time, nor did he get to prove that as good as Remo was, he was better than him. Bruce said that he'd deal with Morrisette some other time and he'd get another title shot down the line, but right now the Remo thing was sticking in his craw even more, so he challenged Remo to finish this, right here tonight. The crowd seemed understandably excited at the prospect and let out a big roar when Remo's music hit. The champion would head to the ring, staring at Bruce intently. And seemingly just as annoyed as Jack that their issue hadn't been settled, Remo simply told Bruce that he was on. (B)

Jimmy Hernandez vs. Bear Bekowski

Hernandez was giving up size and surliness to Bekowski, making this a tough task for the laid back upstart. While Sexy and Frederique both failed to win the battle royal at Nothing To Lose, they all seemed in high spirits, having cost Jungle Lord the match as well. When asked if they were concerned at all about making Jungle Lord even angrier, the three blew Ana off to talk about The Platinum Blondes's match with The Amazing Bumfholes tonight, with Frederique claiming they were back in the Tag Title hunt. (C+)

Footage from Nothing To Lose aired, replaying the finish of Hollywood Bret Starr's match with Mikey Lau and the key involvement of Sammy Smoke. (C-)

Sammy Smoke vs. Steven Parker

The announcers speculated on exactly why Sammy got involved in the match at Nothing To Lose, but seemed pretty short on answers. Laramee, in intimidating fashion, said that despite what happened at the PPV, they weren't done with the Tag Team Titles and they weren't done with the Bumfholes or The Awesomeness either. They were still the best tag team in the SWF and in a straight-up fight there wasn't a team man enough to even test them. Scott chimed in saying that making two teams your bitch at once was tough work, so maybe they'd go about getting the titles in a different way, but the belts would be coming back to them real soon. Laramee then told the cameraman to beat it, which he was only too happy to do. ©

Duane and Emma narrated a recap of the North American #1 Contenders Battle Royal, as well as Brandon James costing Valiant the North American Title match itself with Joey Morgan. The Squeekster clearly knew this was a golden opportunity in it's own right and gave Gilmore all he could handle, picking up where Rogue left off in targetting Gilmore's left arm and shoulder. Gilmore still had his right to lay into Squeeky with chops though and he fought back, showing exactly why he's the new number one contender. Squeeky had one more big move in him, almost picking up the upset with the Clean Out. Gilmore kicked out though and after escaping the Stain Removal, he dumped Squeeky with a german suplex and delivered Anger Management moments later to pick up the win.

Winner: Angry Gilmore, via pinfall, in 11:42

(B)

A video aired hyping Brandon James. (B-)

BJ O'Neill was in the ring when we came back, with Emma suggesting she must be here for more skin cream and slyly adding that she could do with it, earning her an admonishment from Duane. BJ invited Justin Sensitive to the ring, with Sensitive wearing a big cheesy smile on his face as he made his way out. BJ talked about Sensitive's 'kind offer' at Nothing To Lose and asked him if he liked what he saw, doing a quick twirl which drew wolf whistles from the crowd. Sensitive though claimed that he didn't like what he saw, making him very much alone in that fact, asking BJ if she followed the instructions and applied the cream properly. Smirking, BJ tutted at Sensitive and told him that actually, she didn't try the cream and she wasn't out here to offer him any feedback. Instead, she had someone who'd like to offer up some 'constructive criticism', which brought out American Machine. (D+)

American Machine w/BJ O'Neill vs. Justin Sensitive

Sensitive clearly wasn't expecting a match tonight, but given the way Machine ran through him, it probably wouldn't have mattered. When Ana questioned Crippler about interfering at Nothing To Lose, he looked up from underneath the hoodie and cut her question off. Crippler pointed out that he said a few weeks back, wherever Jack was, he wouldn't be far behind. All he did last Thursday was live up to his word. Ana enquired if that meant we were going to see The Crippler again tonight, with Crippler snorting and replying "you don't listen, do you?" before walking off. (C+)

Duane was in the ring to interview Joey Morgan again, first congratulating him on still being the North American Champion after Nothing To Lose. Duane pointed out that the match was marred by interference though and not for the first time. Morgan agreed and voiced his frustration over the inconclusive finishes to his recent matches, saying that it seemed like every match he had recently, he was getting caught up in somebody else's business. Morgan stated that he'd always set out to be a fighting champion and he'd defend the belt against whoever, whenever, he just wanted to do so without all the run-ins and disqualifications taking away from the fact that he was the North American Champion. Morgan would be cut off moments later as Paul Huntingdon would interrupt, making his way out onto the stage with a scowl on his face. Huntingdon said he was getting fed up of Morgan ducking him and if he was really a fighting champion, he'd grant him the fair rematch he deserved. Morgan apparently had no problem with this challenge, telling Huntingdon they could do it at Awesome Impact and Huntingdon agreed immediately. He warned Morgan that the title belonged to him and once he got the belt back, all would be good and proper in the SWF again. (C+)

In his locker room Angry Gilmore was icing his shoulder, still feeling the effects of his match earlier on. Jessie seemed concerned and asked if he was sure he was alright, when a voice came from off screen telling her to stop fussing. The voice, of course, was Kristen Pearce's, who tells Jessie that of course he's fine, he's used to getting beat up. Kristen lack of concern soon became clear, as she wanted to talk instead about her managerial offer. Jessie tried to insist now was not the time again, but Gilmore interjected before this could turn into a debate and said it was fine. He thanked Kristen for the advice she put together on countering the Crashing On at Nothing To Lose (to which Kristen not so humbly replied "thank you") and told her that she could be at ringside next week, on a trial basis. Jessie asked if he was sure and Gilmore nodded, so Jessie shrugged and welcomed her sister to the team, earning her an enthusiastic hug. ©

Eric Eisen Open Invitational Match

Eric Eisen w/Everest vs. Brett Biggins

The Open Invitational was in effect and Brett Biggins was the man to step up tonight. They also had the added benefit of Joe Sexy in the corner, with Sexy getting a cheapshot and a choke of his own in at one point from the outside. Randy was eventually able to get to Zimmy and he ran wild, at which point the match would break down and the referee would struggle to keep control. As Zimmy would take care of The Blondes, Sexy tried to help his buddies out by attacking Randy on the outside. Help would be on the way though, as Jungle Lord hit the ring and went after Sexy. The title might not have been on the line, but tensions were no less high for it. Bruce had a point to prove, yet so did the champion, even with a win over Bruce in the bag. Like their match at Nothing To Lose this held a pretty frenetic pace, with the fight again spilling to the outside pretty early on. There was a little less chaos than last time, as they were soon back in the ring, but the action remained hot and heavy regardless of the location. A back and forth contest with neither man able to get the upper hand for long, it seemed this one could go either way at any point. Like at Nothing To Lose, Remo was able to survive a New York Minute, this time getting a foot on the bottom rope at the count of two to avoid being pinned. Bruce still seemed to be close to knocking off the champion though and appeared to have another New York Minute in mind late on in the match with Remo seemingly dazed. Unfortunately, we'd again end without a decisive finish, thanks to The Crippler, who ran out and attacked Jack Bruce in full view of the referee before he could deliver the move.

Winner: Jack Bruce, via disqualification, in 15:11

(B)

Boos rang out around the arena as The Crippler put a beating on Jack, Duane outraged that another match between Bruce and Remo had been ruined. But The Crippler wasn't able to continue his attack for long, as Valiant would hit the ring to make the save. Nailing Crippler with right hands, Valiant would send him flying over the top with a clothesline, checking on Jack as Crippler retreated up the ramp. Clearly shaken but not too badly injured, Jack was quickly back to his feet and demanded a microphone. Jack would tell Crippler that if he wanted a fight that bad, then let's do it. And after looking Valiant's way, Jack laid out a challenge, for next week, Jack and Valiant against The Crippler and Brandon James. Valiant seemed up for this and so did the fans, but The Crippler was giving nothing away as he backed up the ramp scowling at the two men in the ring. (B)

OVERALL- B (Increased pop in 3 regions, lost pop in 11 regions]

Hyping the main event to the audience, Jack discussed what went down last week, with The Crippler again costing him a match against Remo and Valiant coming to his aid. Jack suggested that if "crabby Chris" was going to keep sticking his nose in his business, the best course of action might be to stick him in a pot for a nice warm bath. And tonight, with The Crippler face to face with him and Valiant watching his back, he might do just that. Jack called himself and Valiant "the Supreme dream team" and got in some jabs at Brandon James's expense as well, but it was clear his main focus was The Crippler, who Jack claimed would want no part of him when they were done tonight. (B)

The Pain Alliance vs. Marshall Dillon and Oliver Kobb

This proved to be a display for The Pain Alliance, that they were still in the Tag Team Title hunt and could still be as mean and as physical as ever. Smoke said he'd heard the hype surrounding Lau, but there was one man in the SWF who had future star written all over him and that was him. He had the look, the size, the personality and the talent, where-as Lau just wasn't on his level in any of those categories. Smoke predicted Lau would end up flat on his back next week just like he did at Nothing To Lose and people would be talking about him, not Lau, being the future star. The mention of Nothing To Lose seemed to attract Hollywood Bret Starr to the conversation, butting in and getting in Smoke's business. Prodding a finger in his chest, Starr warned Smoke that interrupting his matches wasn't a smart move and if he intruded on his spotlight again he wouldn't have much of a future. Smoke didn't seem concerned in the slightest though and kept a big smirk on his face as Starr walked off. ©

Back from commercial, we were with the Pearce/Gilmores, with Angry Gilmore getting ready for his upcoming match. Kristen seemed very happy, minutes from her managerial debut, but Jessie was a little more concerned and wanted to go over the ground rules with Kristen again. Kristen heard her sister out on not getting involved and not doing anything to distract from the match, for a bit, before telling her to relax and that she got the point. Kristen, perhaps trying to change the subject, insisted that 'Tom' had got this tonight and with two Pearces in his ear instead of one, he couldn't lose. An amused Gilmore thanked Kristen for the confidence, with Kristen telling Jessie "see, a little motivation, I know what I'm doing". ©

Waiting in the ring were Justin Sensitive and Bear Bekowski, ready for tag team action. Sensitive had a microphone though and something to say. Tonight Sensitive claimed he was going to deal with that "brute", American Machine for what he did last week, but first he had an issue. Addressing his tag team partner for the evening, Sensitive claimed that all that mountain air clearly wasn't as good for the skin as it was for the soul, because Bekowski's was cracked and dry. But luckily, SWF management had paired them together and that with his guidance, plus a course of his Sensitivity treatment, he could sort that skin out in no time. Infact, if tonight went well, maybe he should consider shaving that beard, swapping that loincloth for something more hygenic and becoming Skin-Care Bekowski. Having spent the entirety of his tag team partner's speech glaring a hole through him, when Bekowski is offered a tube of skin cream, his eyes narrowed, before he levelled Sensitive with a big clothesline that almost knocked him out of his lab coat. The crowd seemed pleased with this development, but Bekowski wasn't done, hauling Sensitive up and pressing the shocked skincare fanatic over his head, before dropping him face first. Sensitive scrambled to his feet, not sure whether to be more concerned with his face or his aching ribs, as he staggered into the clutches of Bekowski for the Bear Trap. Sensitive is eventually let go and left laid out in the centre of the ring, Bekowski exiting up the aisle as Duane calmly remarks that "well, I guess we're not going to have that match". (C-)

Angry Gilmore w/Jessie and Kristen Pearce vs. Huey Cannonball w/Jefferson Stardust

Duane rightly called this a most intriguing contest, two competitors in fine form, with Huey unproven in singles competition but with a tremendous amount of talent. And so it would prove as Huey made the step up pretty admirably, but ultimately in vein. It was also intriguing for what was going on outside of the ring, with Kristen proving a slightly more vocal manager than Jessie has been, not to mention Jefferson and his own theatrics on the floor. Huey was able to overcome a strong start by Gilmore and control the middle portion of the match, Jefferson posing and preening along as much as he would were he actually in the match. Gilmore's resilience led him to victory though, the number one contender finishing the match as strongly as he began and picking up the win over one half of the Tag Champions with Anger Management.

Winner: Angry Gilmore, via pinfall, in 10:02

(B)

Backstage, The Fabulous Three were in sour moods, but for once it wasn't due to Jungle Lord. With a big pout on his face and more importantly a baby pink sling on his right arm, Frederique nodded along with Prudence as Joe Sexy complained about what those "lousy Bumfholes" did to them last week. Not only did they steal a victory, they injured Frederique in the process and that wouldn't stand. Frederique claimed that if his arm was 100% he'd take both Bumfholes on himself, but Sexy advised him to sit back, relax and watch what he did to Randy tonight, with Frederique seeming touched that his newfound friend was looking out for him. (C+)

Eric Eisen stood in the ring with microphone in hand for another one of his Open Invitationals and, with it, another speech about how great his open challenge was. He also took time to reference the great job his new bodyguard had been doing, ensuring that he was able to stay in tip top condition and continue to prove how great he was, as well as how magnanimous he was for giving people an opportunity to face him in the first place. ©

Eric Eisen Open Invitational Match

Eric Eisen w/Everest vs. Shady K

It was certainly a surprise to see a returning Shady K step up to Eisen's challenge, including to Eisen himself. Duane pointed out that Shady was a former World Tag Team Champion and thus presented a genuine threat to shutting Eric's mouth. That didn't exactly prove to be the case, but Shady would rough Eric up a fair amount before the match turned against him. Like in recent weeks, Everest would prove the key as Shady would be thrown to the outside by Eric and squashed up against the ring post by the big bodyguard. And thrown back in, Shady was easy pickings for Eisen, who hit The Supremacy for the win.

Winner: Eric Eisen, via pinfall, in 4:52

(B-)

Eric would certainly celebrate his win in more impessive fashion than perhaps it deserved, with Duane criticising Eric for relying on Everest again and Emma pointing out why pay for a bodyguard if you're not going to use him. (B-)

Jack Bruce was seen heading for the locker room area, where Valiant is getting ready for the main event. The two exchanged a warm greeting and Jack thanked Valiant for having his back again last week, saying tonight would be the perfect way to repay him, by dealing with both of his opponents at Awesome Impact. Valiant pointed out that Jack had helped him out a few weeks ago too, so he was just paying it forward. Valiant also said he meant what he said two weeks ago about there not being a better partner than Jack before Jack decided they maybe should ease up on the mutual appreciation society a little bit and get focused for tonight. Last time they got the job done and this time would be no different, just a bit more personal. Valiant agreed and the two bumped fists before Jack left and Valiant continued getting ready. (B-)

Joe Sexy w/James Prudence vs. Randy Bumfhole w/Zimmy Bumfhole

Sexy would begin the match in the same sour mood as he had been in earlier tonight, loudly blaming Randy for hurting Frederique last week. Randy would put a stop to that with a slap and the fight was on. Sexy would quickly attempt to slow the pace down to one that better suited his style and it worked well, keeping Randy under wraps for most of the match. Randy would mount a comeback later on and Sexy seemed like he might be reeling. But after catching Randy coming off the top into a powerslam, Sexy put the finishing touches to Randy with the One Night Stand to earn a measure of retribution for Frederique.

Winner: Joe Sexy, via pinfall, in 8:06

(C+)

Despite the win, it was clear that Sexy hadn't quite inflicted enough revenge though and both he and Prudence would attack the Bumfholes as Zimmy was checking on Randy after the bout. The Bumfholes were swiftly being beaten down, until a roar went up from the crowd and Jungle Lord hit the ring, swinging wildly at both Sexy and Prudence. Sexy managed to escape after a few shots, leaving Prudence to eat a few more wild right hands before being clotheslined over the ropes to the outside. The two members of the Fabulous Three would quickly retreat, as Jungle Lord checked the Bumfholes were okay. ©

Ana Garcia interviewed Remo backstage, looking to get the World Champion's thoughts on Angry Gilmore's performance earlier on. Remo didn't seem overly impressed, saying Gilmore might have won tonight but that doesn't prove anything. Beating anyone else on the roster is a minor victory, but beating him is a different story. Nobody on the roster could stand up to him, that's why he's the World Champion. Ana asked if Remo might be taking Gilmore a little lightly and Remo insisted he was treating Gilmore just like everybody else, another name on his hit list. (B-)

A recap is shown from three weeks ago, with Rogue intentionally getting himself disqualified with a steel chair attack on Joey Morgan and Angry Gilmore making the save, leading us into our next match. (B-)

Joey Morgan vs. Rogue

With all that had been going on recently surrounding the North American Title, Morgan had made it clear the past couple of weeks, he had a score to settle with Rogue. And he came out of the traps fast in this one, eager to get his hands on the Brit. Rogue had to withstand that early flurry from Morgan and wisely rolled out of the ring more than once, breaking the momentum and giving himself chance to recover. That eventually lead to Morgan giving chase and falling right into Rogue's trap, Rogue diverting the referee into the way and sending a distracted Morgan throat first into the ropes. Rogue would control things from there, repeatedly resorting to chokes in his efforts to wear Morgan down. The cheap tactics kept the North American Champion from mounting a fightback for much of the match, but as Morgan's frustration grew the adrenaline began to surge and all of a sudden Rogue found his blows having no effect. Morgan took that frustration out on Rogue, leaving the Brit to try and beg off again. This time it didn't work and Rogue had to fight fair to stay in the match. But Rogue is more than capable of that when he wants to be and there was a twist in the tale for the North American Champion. Setting up for a slam of some kind, Morgan lost his balance and lost Rogue over the top rope, with Rogue resourcefully hanging Morgan's neck across the rope. And with the throat compromised again, Morgan was hit with Crashing On to give Rogue a big, albeit non title, victory.

Winner: Rogue, via pinfall, in 14:14

(B)

Looking slightly relieved to have gotten the win, Rogue mood soon improved once the result sunk in, milking the victory in front of the fans down the aisleway as they heckled him on the way to the back. (C+)

We checked in with the announcers before the main event, with Duane announcing another big tag team match signed for next week, with Awesome Impact implications. It also featured the three prospective number one contenders to the SWF World Title, which could have meant tension between James and The Crippler. In what might be a precursor to the triple threat match at Awesome Impact though, they would work together here without too much of an issue. It certainly seemed like they were on the same page when they targetted Bruce's neck to gain control of proceedings and isolate him from Valiant for a decent chunk of the match. With Valiant and the crowd willing him on Bruce wasn't going to be kept down for long and Valiant would make a big comeback for his team. But James and The Crippler would rally and a cheapshot from the outside by Crippler would cut Valiant off, much to Bruce's frustration. It was Jack's turn to watch his partner be worked over, but Valiant showed his own heart and resiliency and with Bruce getting the crowd fired up, a tag was finally made to bring a rejuvenated Bruce back in. This time it seemed James and The Crippler wouldn't be able to regain control, Bruce running through them both with real vigour. But when James and Crippler continued to resort to fighting two on one and Valiant came back in to even the odds, it would be the referee who struggled to gain control, eventually left with no choice but to call for the bell after being thrown down trying to seperate Valiant and Crippler.

Official Decision: Double disqualification, in 17:42

(B+)

The fight would continue after the bell with no sign of abating. James would be thrown outside by Bruce, who went right for Crippler making it clear who he was interested in getting his hands on. As Bruce and Crippler fought though, James would slide back in and catch Valiant unawares with the Big Money Move. Bruce, caught up in his fight with The Crippler, wouldn't notice this. A hard punch from Bruce would send Crippler into the path of a big clothesline from James though and as Bruce turned back around in pursuit of his rival, he would be bowled over with a Big Money Move as well. Boos rung around the arena, as Brandon James was the only man left standing in the ring and he raised his arms triumphantly, with Krissy clapping away on the outside and Emma confidently predicting that we were looking at the next number one contender to the World Title. (B)

OVERALL- B (Show increased pop in 10 regions)

After warming up the crowd and welcoming everyone to the show, Jack pointed out that last week he got a little piece of "crabby Chris", but a little piece wasn't enough for him. Jack said the word was The Crippler wasn't in the building tonight and that was good news for him. But he warned Crippler that he wasn't through with him yet.

Before Jack could elaborate any further though, the music of The Awesomeness would interrupt him and the World Tag Team Champions would make their way to the ring. On the way down, Huey claimed that everybody was sick of Jack opening shows and singing the same old woe is me tune (which clearly wasn't the case) before suggesting that the crowd wanted excitement and that's what The Awesomeness was all about. Jack would hear out Huey as he suggested Bruce should step aside and give the stars of today the floor, before 'thanking' them for coming out but pointing out the support act is supposed to come on before the star, not afterwards. The Awesomeness flipped out at being called a support act, pitching a bit of a fit off mic, while Jack agreed that the crowd did want excitement. And since The Awesomeness were all about providing that, Jack proposed one of them face him in a match later tonight. The Tag Champions ended up in a quick huddle, with Jefferson emerging as the one who'd accept the challenge, in a rather roundabout way. Jack mocked Jefferson's weird way with words, accusing him of having verbal diarrhoea, but agreed to the match and said he'd see them later on. (B-)

Hollywood Bret Starr and John Greed vs. Jimmy Hernandez and Brett Biggins

These four had begun the year jockeying for position, with mixed success. Most of that success was Starr's, but it seemed he had a particular chip on his shoulder, looking more determined than usual in this match. Biggins came under most of the pressure here and seemed to still be suffering the effects of The Supremacy from Eric Eisen judging by his performance. Hernandez offered one flurry of offence when he got the tag, but it didn't last and Biggins found himself on the receiving end of a Hollywood Hammer to give Starr and Greed the victory.

Winners: Starr and Greed, via pinfall, in 6:59

(C+)

Eric Eisen came out to the ring for another speech about his Open Invitational. Clearly Eisen was feeling confident with so many victories under his belt as he went so far as to suggest he was surprising even himself, just how successfully he was faring. Not that he expected anybody to beat him, but recently it felt like he was only having to put in half the effort. Duane had a very obvious explanation for this, but Emma hushed him up because Eric was still talking. Eric suggested that his dominance was only making the Open Invitational more prestigious and said he was looking forward to seeing who dared to test him next, at which point he was interrupted, by American Machine and BJ O'Neill. Suddenly Eric didn't look quite so confident, as BJ informed him that her man dared to accept his challenge, if Eric dared to put his money where his mouth was. Eric was quick to clarify that he didn't say there'd be a match tonight, to the crowd's irritation. Instead Eric had a counter offer. He'd give American Machine the match, but it'd be at Awesome Impact. BJ agreed, but Eric had more to his idea, saying that Machine had to face Everest next week first to ensure he was up to the challenge. Duane questioned what kind of open invitational this was, but BJ replied that Machine had no problem with that and Eric would see that he was more than up to the challenge next week. ©

Back at the interview set-up Ana Garcia was with Paul Huntingdon, looking to get his thoughts on his tag team match later tonight. Huntingdon claimed he was looking forward to teaming with Remo because it was nice to pair up with someone on his level. Ana gave him a funny look, but Huntingdon pressed on with his main issue, Joey Morgan. Huntingdon said that now Morgan had decided not to duck him anymore, the North American Title was slipping from his grasp and tonight would be the first step to him regaining his title, with Morgan not being able to hide behind Gilmore since Remo would take care of that for him. (C+)

Brandon James w/Krissy Angelle vs. Steven Parker

Although Valiant and The Crippler weren't in the building, the other man in the number one contendership triple threat at Awesome Impact was. Smoke had given his rationale last week and now he had to try and back up his claims that he was the future star of the SWF, not Lau. To his credit, this was a pretty evenly fought match. Lau found success with his kicks early, so Smoke focused on grounding him and wearing him down. Emma seemed impressed with Smoke's strategy and seemed confident he wasn't all talk. Lau would find a way back into the match and snapped off some more of his patented kicks, until Smoke avoided him coming off the second rope and upended Lau with a chopblock. As Smoke called for the end though and the referee checked on Lau, Hollywood Bret Starr would make an appearance at ringside and grab Smoke's foot. A shouting match ensued between the two, during which time Lau had hobbled back to his feet and rolled up Smoke, picking up the victory much to Smoke's shock.

Winner: Mikey Lau, via pinfall, in 8:28

(C+)

After commercial, Rogue would make his way to the ring. And after last week he was looking rather smug. He took great joy in pointing out that on last week's show he beat the North American Champion Joey Morgan, fairly and squarely and that Morgan had nothing to whine or cry over about it. Rogue said that wasn't why he was out there though, what he wanted to talk about was the World Title match at Awesome Impact. Rogue claimed he'd be watching very closely to see if Remo retained the title, or if Angry Gilmore somehow lucked out and fluked a win, because even though he wasn't in the match he still had his sights firmly set on the gold. And whoever was the champion would find out why you never bet against a Rogue. (B)

Squeeky McClean vs. Robbie Retro

These two have been fixtures in the SWF for some time and as such, have plenty of first hand knowledge of each other, including a victory for Squeeky last month. The Pain Alliance had, typically, been doing a lot of talking lately about their status in the company and looked to back that talk up, dominating the Bumfholes physically in this one. The Bumfholes had to resort to speed and quickness just to stay competitive for much of the match but came on strong towards the end after a missed splash from Big Smack. Once The Bumfholes got going, The Pain Alliance were struggling to keep up and that early dominance seemed to be all for nought. A timely clothesline in mid-air almost got Scott the win over Randy anyway, but the finish would come thanks to a blind tag to Zimmy, setting Scott up for three quick shots in a row from The Bumfholes and a Bumfhole In One from Zimmy to close the match out.

Winner: The Amazing Bumfholes, via pinfall, in 9:55

(B)

The importance of the win wasn't lost on The Bumfholes, celebrating in the ring at having proven themselves, albeit unoffically, as the top contenders to the Tag Titles. ©

Not impressed by this however were The Fabulous Three, huddled around a monitor backstage and watching The Bumfholes's celebration with bitter faces. Frederique complained the loudest of the three, his arm still in a sling. The trio soon had company though and clearly they weren't the only ones upset with the outcome. The World Tag Team Champions commiserated with Frederique and agreed that The Bumfholes were a nuisance, but one that they could help with. Huey said the two of them would be happy to help deal with their mutual problem and like the saying goes, many hands make light work. And, in the spirit of co-operation, perhaps The Fabulous Three would like to offer them a helping hand tonight as well. Sexy could clearly see where this was going and smiled, pointing out that they just so happened to have four good hands left and an agreement seemed to be made. (C+)

Remo and Paul Huntingdon vs. Angry Gilmore and Joey Morgan

The two singles title matches at Awesome Impact were paired together for this preview match and while that seemed to suit all parties, it soon became clear that these four are singles competitors. Gilmore and Morgan would appear to be quite like-minded individuals, but both had their own individual focuses and this really felt like two singles issues going on at once. The only person who seemed comfortable with this being a tag match was Huntingdon and that was largely because he knew he could tag in Remo when the going got tough for him with Morgan. At least for a while. Remo was initially engaged and squared off with Gilmore to test his future challenger out. But as the match wore on it seemed Remo had had enough of his partner's struggles. And all of a sudden, calm as can be, the World Champion hopped off the apron, collected his belt and left. Huntingdon didn't stand a chance after that and after watching Remo go with dismay, would soon be polished off by Anger Management by Gilmore, who seemed a little put out that his Awesome Impact opponent had left so soon.

Winners: Gilmore and Morgan, via pinfall, in 6:36

(B-)

As soon as the match was done the cameras cut backstage to where Remo was heading, a stoic expression on his face as he headed through the curtain and towards the locker rooms. Jerry Eisen was stood nearby and having seen what happened, stopped the World Champion, questioning why he'd walked out on the match. Remo's answer was simple and succinct, telling Jerry that he'd deal with Gilmore on his time, before brushing past him and walking off further into the building. (B-)

http://i799.photobucket.com/albums/yy276/cbacon87/SWF/Jack%20Bruce_alt15_zpscqfwe6da.jpghttp://i799.photobucket.com/albums/yy276/cbacon87/SWF/SWFSHOWS/VS_zpspx8c3dxl.jpghttp://i799.photobucket.com/albums/yy276/cbacon87/SWF/Jefferson%20Stardust_zpsldrctl0x.jpghttp://i799.photobucket.com/albums/yy276/cbacon87/SWF/MANAGERS/Huey%20Manager_zps7mex182q.jpg
Jack Bruce vs. Jefferson Stardust w/Huey Cannonball

This was a big spotlight for the Tag Team Champions and Emma seemed pretty confident that Jefferson was ready to rise to the occasion and show what he was capable of. And she proved to be right as this was an exciting main event. It was clear that Jefferson was the one stepping up to Bruce's level and not vice versa, the former six time World Champion dictating the pace of the match as you'd expect. But Jefferson would show flashes of greatness throughout the match, repeatedly surprising Bruce with an out of nowhere move or a innovative counter to keep the match even. Huey largely stayed out of the way and it was resourcefulness that eventually gave Jefferson a more decisive upper hand, ramming Jack back into the post during a fight on the floor and seemingly reaggravating Jack's hurt neck in the process. Jefferson would spend the next few minutes working the neck over, before Jack's big match experience would truly tell. Bruce fought through the pain and fought back into the match, as he has so many times before. Suddenly Jefferson's punches weren't landing and his counters weren't coming nearly as frequently or as effectively. Jefferson would make one last impact with a STO backbreaker and earn a near fall. But a springboard off the top would miss the mark and Jack would get rolling again, before ending the match with the New York Minute.

Winner: Jack Bruce, via pinfall, in 13:40

(B)

Jack didn't have time to celebrate as Huey finally left his spot at ringside and tried to attack from behind, but Jack was clearly still pumped from the match and managed to fight back straight away. Jack didn't reckon on another sneak attack though as, as was teased earlier, Joe Sexy and James Prudence would hurry out and make it three on one. Boos rang out as Jefferson wearily added his boots to the beatdown and Jack was overwhelmed by the numbers game. But help was at hand, first from The Amazing Bumfholes, who hit the ring and tried to fight their four rivals off. It was still four on two though and the Bumfholes might have been in trouble, if it wasn't for Jungle Lord sprinting to the ring and running wild on everyone who got near him moments later. Jungle Lord sent Prudence and Jefferson flying with clotheslines, allowing The Bumfholes to fight back on Huey and Sexy. A double dropkick then sent Sexy outside, while a recovered Bruce pitched Huey over the top to the floor and the four fan favourites stood tall closing out the show. (C+)

OVERALL- B (Increased pop in 3 regions, lost pop in 11 regions)

Hidden under his black hoodie The Crippler would wait for quiet for a while, but it was clear it wasn't coming and if anything his waiting made the crowd even more annoyed. Eventually he pressed on, with three focuses of his attention to cover. First, the two men he'd be facing at Awesome Impact, Valiant and Brandon James and secondly, Jack Bruce. Crippler claimed he had a long memory, he hadn't forgotten the cheapshot James had given him two weeks ago, Valiant sticking his nose into his business and certainly not about Bruce and his injured neck. Crippler claimed he would put James and Valiant out of commission at Awesome Impact and take a step towards the World Title he'd been denied for so long, but as he began to address Bruce again, he'd be interrupted.

Valiant had clearly heard enough. He told Crippler that he was getting way ahead of himself. Before he even started thinking about Jack Bruce, he had enough trouble on his hands on Thursday night with him. Valiant pointed out that he'd been around a long time too and the World Title meant just as much to him as it did The Crippler and this Thursday, he intended to earn his shot and prove that he belonged. The Crippler didn't look impressed and once Valiant's "rah rah speech" was over, he asked Valiant how much longer he intended on being Jack Bruce's sidekick for. Crippler warned him it wouldn't be long, because Bruce had plenty of enemies and by standing by his side, he might run the risk of getting in their way as well. Valiant pointed out that he was nobody's sidekick, but saw through the very thinly-veiled threat and made The Crippler an offer. If he wanted to do something about it, he could quit talking and face him tonight. The Crippler would end up accepting the offer, explaining that taking care of Valiant tonight would mean one less obstacle in his way at Awesome Impact and Valiant seemed pleased at the prospect of the fight. Even more pleased would be Brandon James however, who was watching all of this with Krissy Angelle on a backstage monitor and liked what he'd heard. (B)

The Amazing Bumfholes vs. Joe Sexy and James Prudence

The Fabulous Three's problems with The Bumfholes began with a tag team match involving The Platinum Blondes and resulted in a defeat and an injury to Frederique. So perhaps it was a surprise to see the makeshift team of Sexy and Prudence fare so well as they picked off Randy and controlled the match without missing a beat. The Bumfholes are made of stern stuff and Zimmy was ready and waiting for the tag once Sexy and Prudence made their first mistake, Randy avoiding a double team and running one into the other to clear the path to his corner. Zimmy ran wild and soon The Bumfholes were on top, showing why they're one of the top teams in wrestling with their seamless double team work. But when Zimmy took out Prudence with a plancha, leaving Randy as the legal man, one half of the top team in wrestling would play the key part in the match. With Randy on the top rope, Huey Cannonball would run out and clock him in the back with a Tag Title belt, causing Randy to tumble to the mat. Huey hid himself under the ring skirt to avoid detection, as Sexy shook off the cobwebs and put Randy away, hitting the One Night Stand for the one, two, three.

Winners: Sexy and Prudence, via pinfall, in 9:03

(B-)

Bear Bekowski vs. Steven Parker

Parker promises to have a bright future in the SWF, but he came up against the wrong opponent to showcase that against here. Bekowski looked equal parts surprised and furious that Dillon would dare to interrupt him, but Dillon did more than that, getting right in Bear's path. No words or fists were exchanged but from the tense staredown between the two it was clear that Dillon wanted to test himself against the big Bear soon. (C-)

Backstage, Ana Garcia was standing by with Hollywood Bret Starr, wanting to get his thoughts on his actions last week, when he distracted Sammy Smoke in his match against Mikey Lau. Starr claimed that clearly Smoke wasn't as savvy as he thought, because he fell for his own tactic last week. And his interjection last week was to send a simple message- he didn't need Smoke's help and he didn't appreciate him showing him up and spoiling his inevitable win over Lau. Garcia brought up that a triple threat match between the three had been signed for Thursday night at Awesome Impact and Starr said that was perfect, because he got to kill two birds with one stone and prove that he was the smartest and most talented prospect in all of the SWF. ©

Jimmy Hernandez vs. John Greed

Hernandez and Greed had been struggling to break from the pack in recent weeks and last time out were on opposite ends of a tag team match, but weren't involved in the fall. Both men's performance in the match would surely have opened people's eyes though regardless of the result, a fun competitive match showing what both men were truly capable of. In the end it looked as though Greed had the match ready to close out, but as he set up for the Crash Diet, Hernandez slipped out the back and a surprise Superkick allowed him to fall on top for the big win.

Winner: Jimmy Hernandez, via pinfall, in 7:41

(C+)

Spirits were high in the locker room as The Awesomeness were backstage with victors from earlier tonight, Joe Sexy and James Prudence. Of course, a big reason for that win was Huey's interference, but that subject didn't come up as Sexy bragged about the result and The Awesomeness complimented him and Prudence on a job well done. Attention then turned to the main event and The Awesomeness assured Sexy that they'd be making it two for two tonight, because they were the Tag Team Champions and there wasn't a team that could beat them, not even Jack Bruce and "Tarzan". (B-)

We would head away from the arena to a brief establishing shot of a nearby bar, just a few streets down from the arena. Inside the bar we found Big Smack Scott and Kurt Laramee, who evidently had chosen to have a few drinks over being in the arena for tonight's show. After their defeat to The Amazing Bumfholes last week the pair appeared to be drowning their sorrows somewhat with empty beer bottles on the bar and full ones in each hand. The duo griped over not winning the match, still not able to understand how the "young punks" got one over on them. After Scott angrily ordered them some shots, Laramee told Scott that they needed to get their edge back and headed over to the pool table for a game. Another patron of the bar put his hand on the table at the same time though and his eyes met with Laramee's. The bar-goer seemed apologetic and he tried to offer a solution, suggesting Laramee and Scott play him and his buddy for the table, if they thought they could beat them. Laramee's eyes narrowed but Scott wasn't quite so reserved, clearly taking this as an insult. And before you know it, The Pain Alliance had started an all-out bar fight. The guy at the table had his head bounced off of it and his buddy was sent hurtling over it by Scott. Two more guys got involved, but in a chaotic scene of clotheslines, heads being bounced off of the bar, pool cues and bottles being broken over people's backs and one guy getting hurled into the jukebox, The Pain Alliance quickly left everybody laying. Scott then snatched the shot glass off the table and downed it in a rage, before the duo left, Laramee 'helpfully' leaving the triangle on the original guy's chest as he laid on the floor in a daze. ©

After a break, we were back in the arena, where Eric Eisen was clearly still upset about what went down earlier with Everest, who's presence he barely even acknowledged as he paces around. Eric's brother Jerry walked up and joked that Eric might want to close his open invitational and Eric didn't appreciate the jibe. Eric was quick to claim that beating Everest meant nothing, American Machine hadn't beaten him and he wouldn't beat him, because he's an Eisen and he's on a roll. Jerry suggested that Eric might be trying to convince himself but Eric would be steadfast, insisting that he'd got everything under control. Jerry quipped that maybe his bodyguard situation could be better, which Everest didn't respond to, but Eric did, telling his brother that if he didn't have anything productive to say, which he usually doesn't, then maybe he should save it and let him think. Shrugging, Jerry wished him good luck and suggested that he might need it, leaving Eric to continue pacing on the spot. ©

Paul Huntingdon headed to the ring and demanded a microphone, all the while mocked on commentary by Duane for being walked out on by Remo last week. Huntingdon brusheed over last week somewhat but claimed that he was fed up of being unappreciated and disrespected. That all changed on Thursday, according to him, when he finally got Joey Morgan in the ring and won back his North American Championship. As for tonight, he wanted to show Morgan exactly what he was in for and who he was dealing with. That's why he was demanding somebody come out and face him in a match. Duane questioned if that was a good idea considering his recent luck, but Huntingdon seemed sure of it, impatiently waiting for someone to appear until Robbie Retro made his way out to accept the challenge. (C+)

Paul Huntingdon vs. Robbie Retro

Things hadn't gone Huntingdon's way recently and looked like they might be heading that way again early on when Retro made a strong start and had the Blue Blood reeling around the ring. Huntingdon is still a former North American Champion though and finally, he was able to channel that frustration and take over this match. A lot more brutality was present in Huntingdon's offence than usual and once he got going, Retro was never able to get back on track as Huntingdon hit High Society and got the win.

Winner: Paul Huntingdon, via pinfall, in 5:55

(C+)

Huntingdon's frustration slowly seemed to settle once the match was over and he recomposed himself, celebrating the win with a little more dignity than he'd shown in the closing stages of the contest. Nobody rushed into anything reckless and tempers were kept in check- this was all about picking up a win going into Awesome Impact. The Crippler's strategy seemed to be to try and take the legs out from Valiant, in an effort to dull his power game a bit. It didn't seem to be too effective, as Valiant continued to throw Crippler around at will and the turning point instead came when Crippler avoided being suplexed back into the ring and DDTed Valiant through the ropes and onto the apron instead, leaving him in a heap at ringside. A dazed Valiant was dumped back inside and now Crippler was focused on the neck. The crowd got into things, willing Valiant into an eventual comeback. And with a sore neck and all it looked like Valiant was on the way to victory. That's when Brandon James would make an appearance and slowly make his way towards the ring. Valiant spotted him and seemingly forgot all about the match, daring James on. Which proved to be a mistake as Crippler ran up from behind with a shot to the neck and quickly pulled Valiant into a dragon sleeper. Valiant fought the hold briefly, but wasn't going to find a way out and was forced to submit.

Winner: The Crippler, via submission, in 12:14

(B)

The match might have been over but The Crippler seemingly had Awesome Impact in mind, keeping the dragon sleeper locked on despite the referee's attempts to pull him away. James would then roll into the ring, causing The Crippler to look up briefly. But James made no move to attack Crippler, instead content to watch Valiant suffer from a better vantage point. Help was on the way though as Jack Bruce would hit the ring, to a roar from the crowd. Jack was forced to fend off James first but did so quickly, stunning him with right hands and pulling down the rope as he tried to charge. The Crippler finally let go of the hold to try and ambush Bruce from behind but was taken down, Bruce getting in a few good shots before Crippler squirmed away and out of the ring, he and James deciding to call it a day as Jack checked on Valiant in the ring. (B)

http://i799.photobucket.com/albums/yy276/cbacon87/SWF/Jack%20Bruce_alt15_zpscqfwe6da.jpghttp://i799.photobucket.com/albums/yy276/cbacon87/SWF/Jungle%20Jack_zpsqfjfwk2k.jpghttp://i799.photobucket.com/albums/yy276/cbacon87/SWF/SWFSHOWS/VS_zpspx8c3dxl.jpghttp://i799.photobucket.com/albums/yy276/cbacon87/SWF/Huey%20Cannonball_zpso1zcxykk.jpghttp://i799.photobucket.com/albums/yy276/cbacon87/SWF/Jefferson%20Stardust_zpsldrctl0x.jpg
Jack Bruce and Jungle Lord vs. The Awesomeness

With Valiant helped to the back in the commercial break, Jack stuck around for his main event match, having to shift focus after what just happened. After Jefferson's impressive performance last week against Jack, albeit in a losing effort, he was more in his element this time with Huey by his side and the Tag Team Champions used that teamwork to great effect. After an early offensive flurry from Jack and Jungle Lord forced The Awesomeness to regroup, the champs truly started to stamp their authority, keeping Bruce away from his wildman partner for a good few minutes and showing no signs of being daunted by the six-time World Champion. Jungle Lord would eventually get the tag from Jack, but The Awesomeness were able to force a mistake during his frenzied comeback and cut him off from a tag as well, controlling the seemingly out of control jungle man.

It was Jack's encouragement of the crowd that seemed to get Jungle Lord going again and once Jack got the tag the tide started to shift. The Awesomeness were picked off in such a way that they weren't able to take advantage of their teamwork again and were forced to go it alone. After Huey was backdropped to the floor, Jefferson certainly gave it his best effort and almost pulled off a massive upset after a roundhouse kick caught Jack unawares, but Bruce was able to avoid defeat with a late kickout. The telling moment would then come with Huey looking to engineer a last double team, positioning Bruce for a neckbreaker. Whatever Jefferson's role was intended to be in this tag manouever wouldn't come off, thanks to a big tackle from Jungle Lord knocking him out of the way. And with Huey caught by surprise by seeing his partner knocked out of position, Jack managed to reverse out and spin Cannonball around, hitting a New York Minute and gaining the three count.

Winners: Bruce and Jungle Lord, via pinfall, in 12:08

(B+)

Jack and Jungle Lord would celebrate their big win after the match, Jack making sure to stay out of Jungle Lord's path when neccessary as he would celebrate in his usual manic style. (B-)

The show would then close out with last minute hype for Awesome Impact and the main event World Title match, featuring comments from both champion and challenger in between footage of the two in action and clips from their match at Christmas Clash where Remo won the title. Remo was his usual matter of fact, confident self about the match and his prospects, whilst Gilmore's thoughts centered around the title representing validation for him as the best wrestler in the SWF and wanting to reclaim it from the man who beat him for it. And they would meet on Thursday night... (B+)

OVERALL- B (Show improved pop in 10 regions)

The number one contender's match between Valiant, Brandon James and The Crippler has a more personal edge to it, where-as the title match between Remo and Angry Gilmore is strictly about competition. But at the end of the day it's all about one thing- the pursuit of gold. (B)

http://i799.photobucket.com/albums/yy276/cbacon87/SWF/Marshall%20Dillon_zpsjce5xuzg.jpghttp://i799.photobucket.com/albums/yy276/cbacon87/SWF/SWFSHOWS/VS_zpspx8c3dxl.jpghttp://i799.photobucket.com/albums/yy276/cbacon87/SWF/Justin%20Sensitive_zpsapsehtij.jpg

Marshall Dillon vs. Justin Sensitive

Awesome Impact would begin with a special 'bonus match', which went considerably better for one of the competitors involved than it did the other. Sensitive's attempts to get out of the match by offering Dillon some Sensitivity cream were only marginally bettered by his efforts in the match, once Dillon had made it clear he was here to fight, not moisturise. Sensitive found success with a thumb to the eye as Dillon advanced on him, but his subsequent blows weren't doing much more than keeping Dillon at bay. Soon enough, the cowboy was fighting back and once he got going, he was all over Sensitive like, well, cream on someone's skin. And Sensitive was creamed in the match, Dillon finally putting him away with the Crackdown for the pin.

Winner: Marshall Dillon, via pinfall, in 5:12

(C+)

After the match was over, Dillon's head would turn at the sound of Bear Bekowski's music hitting and the man from the mountains marching down to the ring, much as Dillon had done on Tuesday night. Bekowski stomped a determined path to the ring and, like Tuesday night, Bekowski and Dillon went nose to nose. Just as things threatened to boil over, Bekowski would break away though and instead, he grabbed a woozy Sensitive around the neck. Sensitive would plead for mercy but Bekowski would put him in the Bear Trap anyway, racking a helpless Sensitive for a few seconds while looking right at Dillon, before letting him slump to the ground. Bekowski would then leave the ring and back up the aisle with his eyes still locked on Dillon, having apparently made his point. (D+)

Up next would be Eric Eisen's Open Invitational. But before that would come Eric Eisen with an open mic, as is often the case. Eric claimed that as far as he was concerned, tonight would be just another night. American Machine was just another opponent and this match would be just another win for him. Infact, what happened on Tuesday night wasn't even entering his thoughts. Duane questioned that if that was the case why even bring it up, but he was hushed down by Emma, who suggested if he wanted to keep his job he stop interrupting an Eisen whilst he's talking. After taking a moment to insult a fan in the crowd who was getting on his case, Eric concluded by saying his opponent might claim to be an American Machine, but he was a head kicking machine and his foot was feeling warmed up and ready to swing. (C+)

http://i799.photobucket.com/albums/yy276/cbacon87/SWF/MANAGERS/Everest%20Manager_zpse5hvmobd.jpghttp://i799.photobucket.com/albums/yy276/cbacon87/SWF/Eric%20Eisen_zps429d43jc.jpghttp://i799.photobucket.com/albums/yy276/cbacon87/SWF/SWFSHOWS/VS_zpspx8c3dxl.jpghttp://i799.photobucket.com/albums/yy276/cbacon87/SWF/American%20Machine_alt_zpsc2zvevrf.jpghttp://i799.photobucket.com/albums/yy276/cbacon87/SWF/MANAGERS/BJ%20ONeill%20Manager_zpsv1lzgvzk.jpg

Eric Eisen Open Invitational Match

Eric Eisen w/Everest vs. American Machine w/BJ O'Neill

If Eric was expecting a routine night, or just claiming he was expecting one, it didn't happen. His kicking foot had plenty of time to cool down during Machine's early dictation of the match and Eric's feet were mostly occupied by pacing around the ring, trying to slow Machine's momentum down. Eric couldn't match Machine for power so relied on his guile, picking the right moment to grab an unsuspecting Machine and drag him face first into the middle turnbuckle. Eric would take over the match from there, but seemed concerned any time Machine looked like getting back to his feet and put more time into keeping Machine down than finishing him off. Eventually, Eric seemed confident enough that Machine would stay down and set up for The Supremacy. He was wrong though, as Machine met him with a clothesline and began a big comeback. Machine was rolling and it looked like Eric's winning run might be coming to an end, which Eric clearly realised, resorting to ducking through the ropes and hoping the referee would come to his aid. He did, but of more use was Everest, who took advantage of the referee trying to drag Machine off of Eisen by nailing him with a right hand from the floor. The official was none the wiser and Eric capitalised quickly with a knee lift, leaving Machine prone on all fours for The Supremacy, giving Eric another questionable victory.

Winner: Eric Eisen, via pinfall, in 9:23

(B-)

Wandering around the backstage area, Rogue was a picture of nonchalance, maybe a bit too much so with his hands in his pockets whilst whistling a tune to himself. He clearly attracted the attention of Jerry Eisen, who pointed out that Rogue wasn't signed to be there tonight. Rogue played coy until Jerry started to suggest that if he was thinking of interfering in Angry Gilmore's match with Remo tonight then he should think again, at which point Rogue began to laugh. He told Jerry not to worry, he was just there to watch like everybody else. Jerry clearly didn't seem convinced, but Rogue didn't seem concerned and asked Jerry in an insincere tone "what, you don't trust me?", doing nothing to change Jerry's mind by laughing as he walked off. (B)

http://i799.photobucket.com/albums/yy276/cbacon87/SWF/Mikey%20James_zpsj3kfld7e.jpghttp://i799.photobucket.com/albums/yy276/cbacon87/SWF/SWFSHOWS/VS_zpspx8c3dxl.jpghttp://i799.photobucket.com/albums/yy276/cbacon87/SWF/Hollywood%20Bret%20Starr_zpsieluqjld.jpghttp://i799.photobucket.com/albums/yy276/cbacon87/SWF/SWFSHOWS/VS_zpspx8c3dxl.jpghttp://i799.photobucket.com/albums/yy276/cbacon87/SWF/Sammy%20Smoke_zpsiasjaztv.jpg

Mikey Lau vs. Hollywood Bret Starr vs. Sammy Smoke

Recent singles matches between these three had been plagued by outside distractions, so this was a chance for one of the three to make a definitive statement. Smoke and Starr were the cause of those distractions and began the match arguing with each other, which was basically an open invitation for Lau to start the match by attacking them both with kicks. Lau's strong start was eventually shut down when Starr and Smoke caught him with a pair of clotheslines, but it was clear the two had no intentions of teaming up here and the match was very much every man out for themselves from that point on. With none of the three able to keep one man isolated long enough to put away the other, advantage swung back and forth between them and it was seemingly anyone's match. Right up until the point that Starr dodged a missile dropkick off the second rope by Lau and followed up with the Hollywood Hammer, only for Smoke to sneak in as Starr was scrambling to make the pin, rolling him up and reaching up to grab the middle rope for the crucial leverage needed to keep Starr down for three.

Winner: Sammy Smoke, via pinfall, in 9:33

©

http://i799.photobucket.com/albums/yy276/cbacon87/SWF/Squeeky%20McClean_zps5czgf4pz.jpghttp://i799.photobucket.com/albums/yy276/cbacon87/SWF/SWFSHOWS/VS_zpspx8c3dxl.jpghttp://i799.photobucket.com/albums/yy276/cbacon87/SWF/Mainstream%20Hernandez_zpsy66dzixc.jpg

Squeeky McClean vs. Jimmy Hernandez

Our second bonus match of the evening was youth against experience, with both looking to build off of recent wins on Supreme TV. Squeeky's tactic was to try and keep Hernandez grounded and he did a good job of doing so for much of the match. Hernandez's offence would come in quick spurts before being put to a stop by Squeeky, who always seemed a step ahead mentally, if not in terms of speed. This was a big opportunity for Hernandez though and he kept plugging away until he finally started to get some momentum and throw McClean off his game with his flashy offence. Sensing an upset, Hernandez would head to the top, with Squeeky down in position for Apparition #14. But the extra couple of seconds Hernandez took to steady himself might have cost him, as Squeeky moved out of the way. And before Hernandez could recover his breath, a Stain Removal planted him into the mat, giving Squeeky the victory, although Duane was quick to praise the effort the youngster had put in.

Winner: Squeeky McClean, via pinfall, in 8:49

(B-)

With the eight man tag team match up next, Jack Bruce held a last minute meeting with his team. Jack told his three team-mates that he knew there was nobody in the SWF more energetic than the Bumfholes and nobody more manic and wild than Jungle Lord. And tonight, he didn't want them to hold that back- he wanted all of that to come to the surface. He wanted the wildest, craziest, most out of control eight man team the SWF had ever seen in their lives. Jack's efforts to psyche the team up seemed to work and his three partners were pent up balls of energy by the time he was done, sending them out of the room to go tear their opponents apart. (C+)

http://i799.photobucket.com/albums/yy276/cbacon87/SWF/Jack%20Bruce_alt15_zpscqfwe6da.jpghttp://i799.photobucket.com/albums/yy276/cbacon87/SWF/Jungle%20Jack_zpsqfjfwk2k.jpghttp://i799.photobucket.com/albums/yy276/cbacon87/SWF/Zimmy%20Bumfhole_zpsztuvgxa0.jpghttp://i799.photobucket.com/albums/yy276/cbacon87/SWF/Randy%20Bumfhole_zpsmoiuq0xk.jpg
http://i799.photobucket.com/albums/yy276/cbacon87/SWF/SWFSHOWS/VS_zpspx8c3dxl.jpg

http://i799.photobucket.com/albums/yy276/cbacon87/SWF/Joe%20Sexy_zpsmh7ufloq.jpghttp://i799.photobucket.com/albums/yy276/cbacon87/SWF/James%20Prudence_zps7m8hlocj.jpghttp://i799.photobucket.com/albums/yy276/cbacon87/SWF/Huey%20Cannonball_zpso1zcxykk.jpghttp://i799.photobucket.com/albums/yy276/cbacon87/SWF/Jefferson%20Stardust_zpsldrctl0x.jpg

Jack Bruce, Jungle Lord and The Amazing Bumfholes vs. Joe Sexy, James Prudence and The Awesomeness

Presumably, The Awesomeness, Sexy and Prudence hadn't seen their opponents meeting backstage. If they weren't sure what to expect, they sure figured it out quickly, as their opposition were a house of fire in the early going and completely overwhelmed them at every turn. Sexy and his team were a mixture of stunned and frustrated figures by five minutes into the match and Joe was forced to gather his team together for a huddle on the outside, just to get their heads together. Slowing the pace seemed to work and so did the sneaky knee from the outside that Huey gave Randy, allowing Jefferson to deliver a clothesline and Randy to become the focus of the opposing team's attack.

Randy hung in long enough to avoid a double team from The Awesomeness and he made the tag to Jack, who took a page from his partners and ran wild on all four of his opponents in reckless style, before the match broke down into a melee with all eight men abandoning the order of looking for tags and just going at it at will. The Bumfholes would hit dives onto The Awesomeness and Jungle Lord would get his hands on Sexy, only for a knee to the back from Prudence to rescue his buddy. Bruce would then be left in the ring with Sexy and Prudence, with the numbers game soon thwarting his efforts to fight both men off. Just as it seemed the two members of the Fabulous Three had the match in hand though, Jack turned the tables, reversing an irish whip and sending Prudence back into Sexy. The two clonked heads and Sexy fell outside. Prudence meanwhile missed with a dazed clothesline and was hit with the New York Minute, giving Jack the win for his team.

Winners: Bruce, Jungle Lord and The Bumfholes, via pinfall, in 12:48

(B)

Jack, Jungle Lord and the Bumfholes celebrated in the ring after the match with all four just as amped up as they'd begun the match, with Jack's motivational tactics clearly having paid off tonight. (B-)

Ahead of his title challenge in a few minutes time, Paul Huntingdon was in the interview area with Ana Garcia. Huntingdon was clearly highly focused, as he called this the moment he'd been waiting for. Joey Morgan had, according to him at least, denied him his rightful championship rematch for so long, but that changed tonight and so would the title. He was a winner and a man of his stature didn't deserve to have a championship taken from him, nor did he deserve to be treated with such contempt and disrespect by someone the likes of Morgan. Tonight, he'd show up Morgan for the "joe schmoe" that he is and class order would be restored with him as North American Champion. (C+)

http://i799.photobucket.com/albums/yy276/cbacon87/SWF/SWFSHOWS/SWF_NA_zpsfkntpczz.jpg
http://i799.photobucket.com/albums/yy276/cbacon87/SWF/Joey%20Minnesota_zpsaz9mzm8n.jpghttp://i799.photobucket.com/albums/yy276/cbacon87/SWF/SWFSHOWS/VS_zpspx8c3dxl.jpghttp://i799.photobucket.com/albums/yy276/cbacon87/SWF/Paul%20Huntingdon_zpst8blgp4x.jpg

SWF North American Championship

Joey Morgan © vs. Paul Huntingdon

While both men fought this match in not too disimilar ways, it was clear from the start that there were two vastly different approaches to their methods from champion and challenger. Morgan was his usual calm, collected himself, happy to keep the match on the mat when neccessary and play the long game. Huntingdon however was highly strung, getting frustrated whenever things didn't go his way and looking desperate to press his advantage whenever he was in control. Duane claimed that Huntingdon might want this too much and though Emma claimed that the idea someone could want to be champion too much itself was stupid, Duane might have had a point. Huntingdon's frustrations grew with every passing kickout and submission escape and Morgan was the beneficiary of a number of mistakes as the match wore on. Just when Huntingdon seemed at his most frazzled though, his luck seemed to change. Morgan missed the Minnesota Salute off the top and Huntingdon capitalised with the High Society. The referee got down to count the three and Huntingdon was once again North American Champion.

Or, so it seemed. But the bell never rung and the referee's hand never even hit the mat the third time, because he'd spotted Morgan's foot on the bottom rope. Huntingdon hadn't even noticed though. So convinced was he that he'd won, he was already celebrating before realising the count had stopped. When the referee pulled Huntingdon's raised arm down and told him what happened, Huntingdon was beside himself and Morgan capitalised with a roll-up, which almost won him the match. Huntingdon just about kicked out and tried to regain control, but the near-win had thown him off his game completely. Soon after, he flung Morgan into the corner, but missed a charge and went shoulder first into the post. And as he stumbled back out of the corner, Morgan was waiting with the Empire Spiral, for the three, to retain the gold.

Winner and still North American Champion: Joey Morgan, via pinfall, in 13:48

(B)

The cameras would stay on Huntingdon as he recovered after the match, looking distraught as he realised that he'd lost the match. Looking around for someone to blame, he realised the referee and Morgan were gone. Emma got on the crowd's case for heckling a man of Huntingdon's stature, as he slowly got out of the ring and headed back up the ramp with his head in his hands, unable to believe that he'd lost his shot to regain the title. ©

http://i799.photobucket.com/albums/yy276/cbacon87/SWF/The%20Crippler_zps1cyhdztq.jpghttp://i799.photobucket.com/albums/yy276/cbacon87/SWF/SWFSHOWS/VS_zpspx8c3dxl.jpghttp://i799.photobucket.com/albums/yy276/cbacon87/SWF/Valiant_zps1ih4deor.jpghttp://i799.photobucket.com/albums/yy276/cbacon87/SWF/MANAGERS/Hannah%20Manager_zpskdrhinpy.jpghttp://i799.photobucket.com/albums/yy276/cbacon87/SWF/SWFSHOWS/VS_zpspx8c3dxl.jpghttp://i799.photobucket.com/albums/yy276/cbacon87/SWF/Brandon%20James_zpsyhbettna.jpghttp://i799.photobucket.com/albums/yy276/cbacon87/SWF/MANAGERS/Krissy%20Manager_zps4lf3m8vj.jpg

World Title #1 Contendership Triple Threat Match

The Crippler vs. Valiant w/Hannah vs. Brandon James w/Krissy Angelle

Valiant seemed to be coming into this match at a disadvantage, after what happened on Tuesday night. But although he was still favouring his neck on the way out, it soon became clear that James and The Crippler had no intentions of working together in this one. They both wanted to be number one contender, no matter who they had to beat. And so, Valiant found himself on the outside often early on, while Crippler and James went at it in the ring. Bad neck and all, Valiant wouldn't stay down for long, so James would ultimately alter his strategy and get rid of The Crippler so he could focus on his ailing rival. Valiant and James would go at it with their usual ferocity until Crippler came back, interrupting their one on one battle. And Crippler would look to ape James's strategy, taking out Big Money with a shin breaker on the top of the barricade to leave Valiant and his bad neck to himself. Valiant wasn't as hurt as The Crippler would like and gave as good as he got, but Crippler would eventually lock in the dragon sleeper that had done so much damage on Supreme TV. Valiant refused to give in and hung on just long enough for James to return, limping but still able to break up the submission.

The match would be a battle of who had enough left in the tank from there, all three men's efforts to find the winning pinfall broken up by last ditch saves by the third wheel. With James's knee hurting and Valiant neck slowing him down, it seemed The Crippler had the best chance of winning- he just had to pick off both opponents at once. He took care of James with a dropkick to the knee in the ropes and was left with Valiant, Big Money's leg tied up in the ropes leaving him unable to play a factor. The Crippler wasn't reckoning on a third man to deal with though, as Jack Bruce would hit the ring. Shocked, The Crippler was ran through by Jack, culminating with a New York Minute in the centre of the ring. Jack left the ring urging Valiant to follow up. And Valiant did just that, hitting the V-Split to The Crippler and making the pin, earning himself the World Title opportunity at The World Is Watching.

Winner: Valiant, via pinfall, in 15:56

(B)

Valiant celebrated in the ring with some amount of shock on his face, Duane putting over that he'd just booked himself into the biggest match of his career. (B-)

We cut away from Valiant to the backstage area, Jack Bruce walking through the curtain to find Ana Garcia waiting to get his comments about what he'd just done. Well tonight, The Crippler had found out that that went both ways. (B-)

Before the main event we got a video hyping the contest, a little different from the one that aired Tuesday night, but using much of the same footage. (B)

http://i799.photobucket.com/albums/yy276/cbacon87/SWF/Remo_zpsbxqdqahd.jpghttp://i799.photobucket.com/albums/yy276/cbacon87/SWF/SWFSHOWS/VS_zpspx8c3dxl.jpghttp://i799.photobucket.com/albums/yy276/cbacon87/SWF/Angry%20Gilmore_zpsrvwbe8ed.jpghttp://i799.photobucket.com/albums/yy276/cbacon87/SWF/MANAGERS/Jessie%20Manager_zpsxhb60dqw.jpghttp://i799.photobucket.com/albums/yy276/cbacon87/SWF/MANAGERS/Kristen%20Manager_zps4e9hgupb.jpg

SWF World Heavyweight Championship

Remo © vs. Angry Gilmore w/Jessie and Kristen Pearce

The main event promised to be an intriguing clash, the power and punishment of the champion Remo and the skill and savvy of the challenger Gilmore, a rematch from Christmas Clash 2015. Gilmore seemed to have learned from that last match just what he was up against and the result was a cautious start, Gilmore looking to set the tone for later on in the match by softening up Remo's legs. Remo was happy to go with the slow pace as well, albeit with a more high impact offensive, Gilmore regetting getting too close to Remo for too long after a clubbing clothesline or a sudden press slam. Gilmore's slow approach seemed to be paying dividends as he found more and more success taking Remo down and working the leg. And when Remo did stifle his pesky challenger for a while, his leg was still hampering him despite his dominance.

It was late in the match where Gilmore's long game really started to pay off though. With Remo hobbling a little, Gilmore felt confident enough to step up his attack, getting in close and fighting Remo a little more head on. Remo was still able to put a stop to Gilmore's offence with one good shot or one effective throw. But Gilmore was able to show Remo a little less respect knowing that his base had been compromised somewhat. Both started show a little more urgency as the match approached the 20 minute mark, with Gilmore earning a nearfall with the Sky High Elbow. Remo was still powerful enough to break out of Anger Management and after turning Gilmore inside out with a clothesline, he hit a double underhook powerbomb, not risking his usual backbreaker due to the knee, for a near fall of his own. Gilmore had one more flurry left in him and went for Remo's knees again with leg kicks, but they weren't enough. Remo came out of the corner with another devastating clothesline, leaving Gilmore almost out of it. A t-bone suplex took whatever energy the challenger had left out of him. And The Destroyer finished the job, giving Remo the hard fought victory to close out the show.

Winner and still SWF World Heavyweight Champion: Remo, via pinfall, in 23:06

(B)

OVERALL- B (Show increased pop in 7 regions)

Last year's winner would be this year's first casualty however as the intimidating presence of Primus Allen proved too much for the masked man and the collegiate standout athlete moved on to the semi finals. RIPW Champion Spencer Spade successfully navigated round one with victory over Lassana Makutsi, as did the man he won the championship from, Ekuma, who knocked off "Bad Bad" Lenny Brown. The final quarter final match pitted Matty Faith against the bigman Scythe, a match which the young second generation star took plenty of punishment during. Faith upset the odds with an opportunistic roll-up however and made it through to the next round, albeit at less than 100%.

The semi final line-up was set and the action resumed with a rematch from last month's RIPW Championship clash, as the current champion Spencer Spade resumed hostilities with the record three-time champion Primus Allen. Like last month, Primus's power game posed the champ his fair share of problems. But, also like last month, Spade found a way to victory and a spot in the finals. His opponent would be either Ekuma or Matty Faith, who squared off in the second semi final. Faith once again went in the underdog, particular after the damage inflicted by Scythe in round number one. Ekuma picked up where Scythe left off, but Faith proved resiliant. And the Tag Team Champion would take a Leap Of Faith into the finals with another big win over the Hawaaian superstar.

An intriguing final match-up was now set. RIPW Champion Spencer Spade, going up against a competitor seen to be destined for greatness in Matty Faith, who'd needed all of his grit and determination to make it through two gruelling matches already. Spade came in marginally the fresher of the two, more experienced and more proven than his youthful opponent. For Faith, this was the biggest opportunity of his career thus far, the March To Victory tournament up for grabs and a chance to prove himself against the RIPW Champion in the process. The match followed the path expected of it, Spade controlling proceedings, but Faith refusing to give in. In the end though, this was one step too far for Faith on this night. Spade confirmed his dominance in RIPW by winning the March To Victory. For Faith, it was perhaps a glimpse of great things to come.

In non tournament action on the show, the other half of the Tag Team Champions Ranger picked up singles victory over Charger Siaki; the RIPW USA Champion Robbie Wright set aside some unconvincing victories in recent months by retaining the gold over Dominic DeSousa; and after an inconclusive time-limit draw in tag team action last month, JOJI came out on top over Chill.

"Survival" will be RIPW's next event in one month's time.

RIPW MARCH TO VICTORY 2016- Ranger defeated Charger Siaki (E+), RIPW USA TITLE: Robbie Wright defeated Dominic DeSousa (E+), MARCH TO VICTORY QUARTER FINALS: Primus Allen defeated Masked Patriot (D), Spencer Spade defeated Lassana Makutsi (D+), Ekuma defeated Lenny Brown (D) and Matty Faith defeated Scythe (D-), MARCH TO VICTORY SEMI FINALS: Spencer Spade d. Jack was clearly feeling fired up tonight, after getting one over on The Crippler at Awesome Impact. Jack made no bones about interfering in the number one contender's match, telling The Crippler that he was just fighting fire with fire and you shouldn't fight fire with the hottest thing the SWF has ever seen, because he was playing with matches while Jack was a human flame thrower. Jack claimed that he and The Crippler were even for Crippler costing him his two matches with Remo, but warned they were far from even for the four months he was on the shelf and the only way they were going to settle things was in the ring, man to man. He told Crippler that whenever he wanted to step out of the shadows and fight like a man, Jack Bruce wasn't a hard man to find. But, he was hard to beat. And in the meantime, so long as Crippler wanted to take the easy route and keep attacking him when he wasn't expecting it, Crippler better have two beady little lobster eyes in the back of his head as well, because he wasn't going anywhere. (B+)

Justin Sensitive was set for action when Supreme TV returned from break, but first, he had something to say. Sensitive brought up his match at Awesome Impact with Marshall Dillon, saying he came away from it sore. But not as sore as Dillon must feel with skin like his. Sensitive said he understood that Dillon was a tough cowboy, but if he was planning on going bareback then he needed protection. That being, Sensitivity. Being out in the sun all day on the ranch without a shirt on might seem like fun, but he wasn't so much "the mystery cowboy" as "the leathery one". Dillon had eventually tired of waiting for the match to get underway and he made his way out before Sensitive could talk any longer. (C-)

Marshall Dillon vs. Justin Sensitive

Besides learning about the condition of his opponent's skin, Sensitive had apparently learned something else in their first match and implemented a smarter strategy than last time. He stalled for time and lured Dillon into getting upset and making a mistake, initiating a chase around the ring and stomping Dillon as he slid back in. Unfortunately, Sensitive couldn't hold his advantage for very long and Dillon wouldn't look back once he got back into the match, putting Sensitive away for a second time with the Crackdown.

Winner: Marshall Dillon, via pinfall, in 5:26

(C+)

Predictably, after the match, Bear Bekowski would emerge to confront Dillon again and Dillon seemed ready for it, breaking into a bit of a smile as the big Bear marched to the ring. Bekowski and Dillon would go nose to nose, neither of the two big men backing down from the other. In the background, Sensitive could be seen pulling himself up nursing the back of his head. And as he got to his feet and spotted Bekowski in the ring with him again, his eyes widened and he immediately high-tailed it out of the ring, running up the ramp with labcoat in hand. Bekowski paid him little attention though and the two burly youngsters continued to stare each other down. (C-)

We went over to the announce table briefly before the next match, for an update on The World Is Watching, one of the SWF's biggest shows of the year coming up next month. Duane would announce a rematch for the Tag Team Titles just added to that card, The Amazing Bumfholes getting their rightful shot at The Awesomeness one more time. But SWF management had raised the stakes, as well as the titles, making that match a Ladder Match for the gold at The World Is Watching. (C+)

The Awesomeness vs. Oliver Kobb and Brett Biggins

The champions needed some good news, after being on the losing side at Awesome Impact and now having the ladder match with the Bumfholes hanging over them. Jack told them he was confident they'd get the titles back at The World Is Watching and unplug The Awesomeness. Zimmy claimed that they were going to upstage them, "you know, because stages, that's where you sing" and Randy added that if The Awesomeness thought they were going to win, then they were just "stringing themselves along". Jack didn't rate the Bumfholes puns very highly and told them as much, but wished them luck anyway and advised them to work on the wordplay a little as he left the room. (C+)

Squeeky McClean vs. Mikey Lau

Much like with Jimmy Hernandez at Awesome Impact, this was presented as a big opportunity for Lau, up against the former two time North American Champion. While Squeeky had faced a wide variety of opponents in the past 15 years, he didn't seem well prepared for the kick based offence of Lau and struggled to fend him off in the early going. Squeeky eventually managed to neutralise the martial artist for a bit, grounding him on the mat. The crowd rallied behind Lau and his trusty kicks got him back into the contest, a competitive closing stretch seeing Lau push his more experienced opponent admirably, only for Squeeky to come away with the win after dropping Lau gut first across the top rope and following up with the Stain Removal for the pin.

Winner: Squeeky McClean, via pinfall, in 7:08

(B-)

Backstage in the interview area, Ana Garcia spoke with Sammy Smoke about his big victory at the PPV. Smoke said that he told the world that he was the future star of the SWF and last Thursday night, he proved it. Before Smoke could elaborate much further though his interview time was crashed by Hollywood Bret Starr, who clearly wasn't happy with what went down at Awesome Impact and Smoke's use of the ropes to pin him. Smoke was completely unapologetic and said Starr would have done the same thing given half the chance and the two bickered back and forth, until Jimmy Hernandez wandered in and cut them both off. Hernandez told the two of them they should chill out and that nobody wanted to hear them whine and complain, which Starr seemed upset at. Hernandez brushed Starr off though and instead addressed Smoke, suggesting that if he wanted to put those claims of being the future star of the SWF up to the test, he'd be happy to face him later tonight. Smoke seemed unphased and confidently accepted the challenge, with Starr left as the third wheel in this equation and looking thoroughly annoyed about it. (C+)

Eric Eisen made his way out with Everest trailing behind him and much to his delight if not the crowd's, announced that tonight, it was once again time for his Open Invitational. Eric referenced his win at Awesome Impact and claimed that the doubters were starting to doubt themselves. It didn't matter how big or how bold the challengers were, he had faced them head on and defeated them. And that's what he was going to continue to do. Eric then asked for his opponent to be sent out and wished them good luck.

http://i799.photobucket.com/albums/yy276/cbacon87/SWF/Skull%20DeBones_zpspqb9di1i.jpg

Eric's jaw dropped though as Skull DeBones's music hits and The Avenging Angel slowly made his way out onto the stage, to a roar from the crowd. And laughter from Duane on commentary. As DeBones headed down the aisle Eric could be seen pacing in the ring, trying to figure out what he was going to do as Skull climbed in to face him. After a bit more pacing around to regain his composure, Eric thanked Skull for coming out, but said that clearly, he hadn't been clear enough and must have made a minor oversight when laying out his open challenge a few months ago. The Eric Eisen Open Invitational was all about opportunity and giving the stars of tomorrow the chance of a lifetime to face and maybe even beat an Eisen. All of which meant, although he must have forgotten to say it, that former World Champions weren't eligible to answer the open challenge. The crowd booed this very much new announcement and Eric snapped at them "those are the rules, deal with them". Eric told Skull that meant he couldn't answer the challenge and unfortunately, he was going to have to leave. Skull just stared back at Eric for a few seconds, before suddenly grabbing Everest by the throat. Eric scrambled towards the ropes in shock and rather than help Everest out, he bailed out of the ring. DeBones then heaved Everest up for a chokeslam, with Eric watching on, from an increasingly safer distance on the rampway as he backpedalled away. (B-)

Frederique Antonio Garcia vs. Robbie Retro

With his bicep back to 100% Frederique returned to the ring, in singles action. Frederique and Retro knew each other well, Frederique having defeated Retro for the North American Title not so long ago and this match was testament to their familiarity together. Frederique's time out of the ring clearly hadn't resulted in any rust as he put on an accomplished performance, with Retro forced to raise his own game to match him. An entertaining and competitive match would end with Garcia delivering Romeo Is Bleeding and picking up the win on his return.

Winner: Frederique Antonio Garcia, via pinfall, in 8:04

(B)

Delighted to be back, Frederique celebrated his victory after the match with great glee, with Emma somewhat more enthused than Duane over how great it was to have Garcia back. ©

Jimmy Hernandez vs. Sammy Smoke

Smoke came into this match extra confident on the back of his win at Awesome Impact and seemed to be taking things lightly in the early going, when things were going his way. He was in for a rude shock when Hernandez proved to be a more than worthy contender and suddenly, Sammy had to get serious and scrap for his win. Sammy would eventually get things back in hand, catching Hernandez coming off the second rope with a clothesline and his confidence started to creep back. But Smoke soon became aware of Hollywood Bret Starr at ringside, yelling at Smoke for being a "cheater". Both Smoke and the official were distracted, allowing Hernandez to pull Smoke down in an improvised roll-up and get the win.

Winner: Jimmy Hernandez, via pinfall, in 6:32

©

Ana Garcia left her backstage post to talk with the North American Champion Joey Morgan in the ring about his victory over Paul Huntingdon at Awesome Impact. Morgan re-iterated that all he wanted in the SWF was fair competition. No distractions, no getting caught up in other people's drama. He was there to compete and he was there to be champion. Last Thursday he proved that when it came to one on one competition he was up to any challenge and added that he was glad to have finally shut Huntingdon's mouth as regards to the claims of 'ducking' a rematch. He'd spoken too soon though as the Blue Blood would shout Morgan down, looking stressed out as he demanded that Morgan listen to him. Huntingdon ranted that he knew he could beat Morgan and demanded that Morgan give him one more shot at the title so that he could prove it. Morgan and Ana both had a look of 'can you believe this guy' on their faces, but Morgan ended up agreeing to the match anyway and told Huntingdon he'd see him next week. (C+)

We cut back to the make-up area, where Hannah was sat in the middle of getting ready before Valiant's match in the main event coming up. With her was Kristen Pearce and Kristen seemed to be the one doing all the talking, while Hannah, with a sheet over her and her hair only half done, couldn't exactly do much besides sit and listen. Kristen regaled Hannah with tales of being a main event level manager and all the big plans she had, even though 'Tom' in her words "didn't get the job done" on Thursday night. Hannah just nodded along politely, as Kristen claimed that even though it took some convincing for her to get the job, she knew that Jessie would say yes in the end. After all, she was a push-over. Always had been. Kristen then continued on with her unspecified big plans, until the words "push-over" were repeated back to her, in a rather more irritated tone from behind her, by Jessie. Caught by surprise, Kristen tried to laugh it off, but it was clear Jessie wasn't amused. And Jessie ended up shaking her head and walking off, leaving Kristen to try and chase after her and Hannah to look on wondering how she got caught up in this. (C-)

Jungle Lord vs. John Greed

Jungle Lord brought his usual levels of energy to the ring here and when Jungle Lord gets going, he's extremely hard to defeat. Jerry casually asked if Bruce was heading off early and Jack said the New Jersey nightlife was calling him, so he'd catch the main event at the nearest bar. The two exchanged some brief small talk before parting ways and Jack sang to himself under his breath as he approached his car.

Suddenly though, Jack was sent sprawling to the concrete as he was taken out from the blindside by The Crippler. Noticing the commotion, Jerry could be heard yelling for help off camera as Crippler and Bruce began to brawl, with Crippler getting the better of things but Bruce trying to fight from underneath. A couple of raised knees to the ribs found their mark though before Cippler hurled Bruce into the side of the nearest car, leaving him reeling. Crippler was relentless, pushing Bruce up against another car and firing off right hand after right hand. Bruce was left slumped across the hood of the car but The Crippler wasn't done, as he brushed past Bruce and climbed up onto the car hood himself. Sinking in a front facelock, The Crippler then roughly dragged Jack up onto the hood with him, a vindictful look on his face, as he glanced back behind him, before driving Jack's head down with a DDT on the car. Jack laid slumped across the car hood, seemingly unconscious, The Crippler sitting next to him for a few seconds before clambering over him and taking a good look at the damage before he walked off. (B+)

http://i799.photobucket.com/albums/yy276/cbacon87/SWF/MANAGERS/Hannah%20Manager_zpskdrhinpy.jpghttp://i799.photobucket.com/albums/yy276/cbacon87/SWF/Valiant_zps1ih4deor.jpghttp://i799.photobucket.com/albums/yy276/cbacon87/SWF/SWFSHOWS/VS_zpspx8c3dxl.jpghttp://i799.photobucket.com/albums/yy276/cbacon87/SWF/Rogue_zpsafrak7zs.jpg
Valiant w/Hannah vs. Rogue

The main event saw the brand new number one contender in action, against a man in the form of Rogue who's own title ambitions had hit a snag in recent months. But beyond that, it saw two former tag team partners turned bitter rivals go at it once more. Rogue's attempts to play it cagey in the opening moments didn't really work, instead finding himself thrown around the ring by his powerful opponent and forced to the outside on three ocassions to regroup. Rogue clearly had a back-up plan in mind though and ended up luring in Valiant for a trip and wrapping his knee around the ring post with a dull clunk. Rogue would attempt to go for the knee for much of the rest of the match, but the pace stayed quick, quicker than he would have liked, with Valiant rarely staying down for long. As Valiant continued to get the better of the Brit, Rogue delved deeper into his bag of dirty tricks, using eye pokes and cheap shots to the knee to set up big moves of his own.

A seeming turning point came when Valiant missed a charge in the corner and went shoulder first into the ring post, giving Rogue a new bodypart to focus on. Rogue found more success with the arm as the target, but also grew cockier with that success. And with the match well in hand, Rogue would send a message by hitting Anger Management to Valiant, seemingly just for his own amusement. Rather than go for the cover he went back to the knee. Then, when the referee checked on Valiant's condition, Rogue would roll outside and bring in a steel chair. The referee's back was turned and Rogue waited for the right opportunity to strike. But before he could do so, Angry Gilmore hit the ring, ripping the chair from out of Rogue's hand. Rogue and Gilmore were locked in a brief stand-off, Rogue readying himself for Gilmore to take a swing. But spotting the referee begin to turn around, Gilmore instead quickly exited the ring. Rogue, now not in danger of being hit with a chair, gave a few choice words to Gilmore for thwarting his plan. But when he turned around, Valiant was waiting and connected with the V-Split for the three, bad knee and all.

Winner: Valiant, via pinfall, in 18:11

(B+)

OVERALL- B+ (Increased pop in 10 regions)

Post Show Report

Great show tonight!

 • Incidents of note

The show went so well tonight, there was a real feelgood factor all night back here. Frederique was clearly excited to be back at 100% and having him around in such a good mood really brightened the place up even before the show got going. Shame you weren't here to experience it firsthand.

 • The Positives

Frederique delivered in the ring too, him and Retro made for a great pairing to bring him back with.

Give Jack some credit too. He really got things going to kick the show off and the promo really got over with the people.

Good call on sticking with Ana's Diva gimmick as it's really working for her, unconventional though it may be.

 • The Negatives

Biggins and Everest. You can't have it all I guess. Biggins had another real bad night in the ring and Everest was his usual lumbering self. I don't know what Michaels ever saw in that guy. With an eye for talent like that no wonder you're in charge now. At least DeBones's return somewhat made up for Everest's performance.

At least the crowd didn't turn on either of those guys like they did to the poor kid in the dark match. Mercy Michaels I think he was calling himself. It takes a lot for our crowds to turn on a guy but he was getting some bad heat out there. To be fair, the guy looked like he was plucked from the backyard scene, I can't fault the fans.

Hernandez and Smoke had some miscommunications during their match which hurt the overall quality somewhat. Smoke didn't let that affect his improving Cocky persona though.

 • Talent Concerns

Memo from Rhode Island, Ekuma and Emmy would like their call-ups soon.

(DARK MATCH: John Greed w/Kristen Pearce defeated Joe Benning in 4:32 by pinfall with a Crash Diet. (D+))

http://i799.photobucket.com/albums/yy276/cbacon87/SWF/SWFSHOWS/SWF1_zpsvydj9xuy.jpg
SWF SUPREME TV - MAR WEEK 4

(Great Lakes; 12,000 in attendance)

10.69 Rating - 8,021,600 Viewers

Another week of Supreme TV got underway with Rogue making his way down to the ring for some comments. Rogue claimed that he wasn't the one that the crowd should be booing tonight. At least not after last week. Sure, he was a born rogue and would do whatever it took to get to the top, but at least he was upfront about being a scoundrel. At Awesome Impact, everyone he bumped into expected him to interfere in the World Championship match and cost Angry Gilmore the match and when he said he wouldn't, nobody believed him. But he was a man of his word, partly because he wanted to watch Gilmore come up short on his own. Last week though, during his match with Valiant, Gilmore came out unprovoked and distracted him, costing him the match when he was on the verge of victory. And yet, people hold Gilmore up to be a beacon of honesty and integrity. Rogue was briefly drowned out by "Rogue Sucks" chants, before referencing that one more match between himself and Gilmore had been signed for The World Is Watching. Rogue again pointed out that he was upfront about not interfering at Awesome Impact and said he was going to be upfront about what would happen at The World Is Watching as well. He was going to beat Gilmore, prove that the idea he didn't know how to do it was a false narrative and then, with Gilmore in the dust, he'd have proven to SWF management he deserved another shot at the World Title. And if people didn't believe him this time either, they'd see it for themselves soon enough. (B)

Marshall Dillon vs. Bear Bekowski

After weeks of face-offs and confrontations, it was a matter of time before these two burly competitors got it on in an official match. The match proved to be as cagey as their confrontations were, with both men looking to feel the other out and test each other's strength. The net result was a pretty even match without a definitive conclusion. Having been unable to out-muscle the other over the course of the match, the fight between the two would spill outside and with neither man paying attention to the count, the referee would call for the bell, having reached a ten count neither Bear or Dillon noticed or cared about.

Official Decision: Double count-out, in 5:44

©

The fight would continue after the match and officials would be sent to the ring to try and pry the two apart, which they eventually managed to do, with clearly nothing having being settled in this one. (D+)

Justin Sensitive would make his way to the ring after the break, and as Duane pointed out, with Bear Bekowski safely back in the locker room. Sensitive took the opportunity to talk to the crowd about, what else, Sensitivity and used up valuable air time to make an impromptu sales pitch. With the cameras picking out individual people in the audience, most of whom weren't happy to have the camera on them while Sensitive was speaking about bad skin, Justin advised the crowd not to follow the example of the SWF stars who'd taken so unkindly to him and ignored his advice. He urged them that modern men, and women too, took care of their skin and just because the SWF's stars were behind the times didn't mean they had to be as well. Sensitive's speech was finally cut short though, as Robbie Retro's music hit, much to Justin's annoyance. (C-)

Robbie Retro vs. Justin Sensitive

Apparently, Justin wasn't concerned with the small matter of the match he was supposed to be competing in. He soon had to shift his focus away from hawking his product though and get down to business, particularly as Retro made a strong start to the contest. Emma claimed that Retro was exactly the kind of behind the times draconian Justin was talking about earlier, as Sensitive would use a cheap thumb to the eye to get himself into the match. Sensitive would control things briefly from there, but it was a matter of time before Retro had the match swinging back his way. And the disco stud would hit Murder On The Dancefloor for the reasonably comfortable victory.

Winner: Robbie Retro, via pinfall, in 5:42

©

Backstage, Jerry Eisen was with brother Eric, who still seemed perturbed after last week. Eric wanted to know why Skull DeBones had a problem with him and Jerry didn't have any answers for him. He did have a theory though- maybe DeBones mistook his open invitational for an actual open invitation. Eric quickly brushed off Jerry's comment, saying he explained that last week and referred to it as an "administrative oversight". He claimed that all he'd been trying to do lately is go about his business and give some up and coming talent a chance, there was no good reason for DeBones to be mad at him. Jerry asked if he needs a reason, before Eric explained that he's going to continue with his Open Invitational as it was intended and says he hopes that DeBones got the message last week. Jerry told him good luck with that and Eric criticised his brother for being no real use, as usual, as he left. (B-)

The Pain Alliance vs. Brett Biggins and Steven Parker

After seeing them destroy four guys in a bar fight a few weeks ago, you'd have been forgiven for not wanting to be The Pain Alliance's next official opponents. To their credit, Biggins and Parker showed a resolute side and not just by getting in the ring. The underdog duo brought enough to make this competitive and keep The Pain Alliance on their toes. But ultimately The Pain Alliance had too much and after Laramee took out Parker with a brutal clothesline on the floor, Scott finished off Biggins with the Ego Trip.

Winners: The Pain Alliance, via pinfall, in 5:34

(C-)

Zimmy Bumfhole vs. Huey Cannonball

With their ladder match at The World Is Watching looming, members of The Awesomeness and The Amazing Bumfholes faced off in singles action in this one, with their partners conspicuous by their absence and confined to the back. While a win here wouldn't really equate to an edge in climbing the ladder, both were eager to get one over on the other, given the rivalry that's formed between these two teams. The match would start energetically, with both looking fairly even, Huey eventually gaining the upper hand catching Zimmy in mid-air with a dropkick. Huey would slow things down, but inevitably the pace would pick back up by the end and Zimmy would be the one driving it. Huey did his best to keep up and the match could have gone either way, right up until the turning point of the match where Huey went for the Cannonball Run in the corner, but missed. Wedged painfully against the turnbuckles, Huey would be pushed off to the mat by Zimmy, who was already halfway up his climb to the top rope for the match ending Bumfhole In One.

Winner: Zimmy Bumfhole, via pinfall, in 10:18

(B)

Jessie and Kristen Pearce were found in the hallway backstage, in another discussion being mostly lead by Kristen. Jessie had her arms folded as she listened to her sister try to explain away what she'd said about her to Hannah last week, claiming that she was just showing off. Sure, it was dumb, but she didn't mean anything by it. Expecting that to be the end of the matter, Kristen suggested that she knew Jessie would understand and they should go get ready. Oh and maybe Jessie should change, because they were both in white and it'd be better aesthetically if they weren't matching. Jessie finally got a chance to speak up and simply told Kristen that maybe it would be better if she doesn't come with them to the ring tonight. Kristen is taken aback and asked if Jessie was really still upset about "the whole push-over thing", but Jessie wasn't interesting in discussing it and firmly told Kristen to just stay back there. As Jessie walked off, Kristen, for once, seemed at a loss for words. (C+)

When we returned to the arena, Joe Sexy and The Platinum Blondes were making their way to the ring, Sexy leading his Fabulous friends out with a determined look on his face. Unsurprisingly, the focus of Sexy's attentions was Jungle Lord. What was surprising though was, after discussing what a thorn in his side the wildman had proven to be lately, Sexy announced that he was calling Jungle Lord out to the ring, right now. Jungle Lord didn't need a second invitation and ran down to the ring full of energy. As soon as Jungle Lord hit the ring though, Sexy was quick to calm him down and encourage him to hear him out before things could get violent. Sexy pointed out that the past few weeks hadn't exactly gone to plan for him, before asking Jungle Lord to look around and figure out what had changed. Surely even he could figure out that three are greater than one. All of Jungle Lord's "jungle buddies" were either distracted or on the shelf, where-as the Fabulous Three were back to full strength. So if Jungle Lord wanted a fight, then a fight he'd get, but Sexy didn't like his odds. Jungle Lord looked around at the three men now starting to surround him and responded with a loud jungle call, seemingly inviting them on.

http://i799.photobucket.com/albums/yy276/cbacon87/SWF/American%20Machine_alt_zpsc2zvevrf.jpghttp://i799.photobucket.com/albums/yy276/cbacon87/SWF/Masked%20Patriot_zpsy6mtt0dk.jpg

Before the fight could really get going though, back-up would arrive. And clearly The Fabulous Three weren't expecting it, especially not in the form of American Machine and a second, masked competitor by his side. Suddenly the odds were even and The Fabulous Three's happhazard efforts to attack Jungle Lord anyway were quickly thwarted, with the trio being cleared from the ring quickly by Jungle Lord and his unexpected allies. Sexy, Garcia and Prudence looked stunned at this development as they backed away, with Jungle Lord briefly viewing the two men who helped him with suspiscion before pointing The Fabulous Three's way and beating his chest with another jungle call. (C+)

Mikey Lau and Jimmy Hernandez vs. Sammy Smoke and Hollywood Bret Starr

During this match, Emma and Duane discussed some "backstage scuttlebutt" regarding Lau and Hernandez, with an apparent friendly wager between the two having been made, which was reportedly $20 to whichever one of them first captured singles gold in the SWF. That was the underlying theme to this match and to the rivalry that had been building between the four. All four had their sights set on being the next major player in the company. And it would be that self-interest which proved the decisive factor in the match. Whilst Lau and Hernandez were able to work as a team throughout, Smoke and Starr's alliance was clearly uneasy. And although they stayed just about on the same page for most of the match, it wouldn't last. With the match entering a frenetic and chaotic closing stretch, Smoke would decide to take his opportunity and dropkick an unsuspecting Starr in the back, seemingly unprovoked. As Starr picked himself up, Hernandez struck with a superkick and picked up the win, with Smoke seemingly more satisfied with costing Starr than concerned about the result itself.

Winners: Lau and Hernandez, via pinfall, in 10:11

(B-)

We cut to Ana Garcia at the interview position backstage, with her guest, Valiant. He was pretty concise when asked about his win over Rogue last week, brushing off the ending of the match and saying he knew exactly what to expect out of Rogue, but he was on a wave of momentum and Rogue and his drama were firmly in his rear-view mirror. Ana then asked how confident he was, going into a World Title match with a proven championship fighter in Remo. Valiant was willing to admit that he was the underdog going in, Remo had been there and done it as champion while his World Title story had yet to be written. But he'd been working towards this opportunity for nine and a half years and he wouldn't be intimidated or over-awed now that it had arrived. (B-)

The brutal parking lot attack last week by The Crippler was recapped, showing again the DDT on the hood of the car which left Jack Bruce laying. The perpetrator of that attack would then make his way to the ring, to derision from the crowd. The Crippler pointed out that last week Jack had told the world that he wasn't a hard man to find and that he was right. The Crippler found him, no problem. This week however, the only place you'd find Jack was laid up on his couch with ice packs strapped to his head and his neck. The Crippler would talk all too graphically about the DDT he delivered before saying that he knew Jack was too proud to stay away. Stating that he knew exactly what Jack wanted, The Crippler offered it up to him- a one on one match with him at The World Is Watching. All he had to do was show up and accept, it he could. Duane showed incredulity at this challenge, pointing out that The Crippler was only making it because he was confident Jack couldn't be at full strength by then, with Emma nonchalantly pointing out how smart that was, if true of course. (B+)

Angry Gilmore w/Jessie vs. Monty Trescarde

With no Kristen by his or Jessie's side, this was back to the classic Gilmore formula. Both in the ring and out of it. Monty would throw somewhat of a spanner in the works by putting up an impressive effort and making this tough for Gilmore, showing he had some technical expertise of his own and was more than just a financial mogul. Gilmore has been through enough tough contests in his time though and fought his way to a decent victory with Anger Management.

Winner: Angry Gilmore, via pinfall, in 7:22

(B)

This was of little consolation to Kristen Pearce who watched on a backstage monitor still bitter at not being allowed out at ringside. As she grumbles to herself about how unfair it all was, Rogue would appear behind her and commiserate with her. To him, it didn't seem right- after all she was the one who came up with the counter that Gilmore used to beat him. Kristen questioned if Rogue had a point, causing him to laugh and admire her fiestiness, not at all like Jessie, "what was it you called her again, a push-over?". Kristen retorted by asking if Rogue thinks she's a push-over, because if not, maybe he should run along. Rogue seemed amused and said fair enough, but suggested she tell Gilmore he should ask nicely for some more wrestling tips before the PPV. Kristen said given the tape she'd been watching, it's him who should be asking for the advice, which made Rogue rather less amused as he stormed off, leaving Kristen to brush off the conversation and go back to pouting over her own predicament. (C+)

We went back to Ana Garcia who this time was with the World Champion, looking for his thoughts on the match with Valiant at The World Is Watching as well. Remo didn't get too far into his response before being cut off though, with Brandon James and Krissy Angelle arriving on the scene. Krissy asked Remo to hear them out, because they were merely there to offer him some advice on how to beat Valiant. Remo made it clear he wasn't interested though and said he doesn't need anybody's help to take someone out, leading to a briefly tense locking of eyes with James before he exited. (B-)

http://i799.photobucket.com/albums/yy276/cbacon87/SWF/SWFSHOWS/SWF_NA_zpsfkntpczz.jpg
http://i799.photobucket.com/albums/yy276/cbacon87/SWF/Joey%20Minnesota_zpsaz9mzm8n.jpghttp://i799.photobucket.com/albums/yy276/cbacon87/SWF/SWFSHOWS/VS_zpspx8c3dxl.jpghttp://i799.photobucket.com/albums/yy276/cbacon87/SWF/Paul%20Huntingdon_zpst8blgp4x.jpg

SWF North American Championship

Joey Morgan © vs. Paul Huntingdon

Paul Huntingdon was in last chance saloon tonight. Having already used up his automatic title rematch, he seemingly only got this shot because Morgan wanted to shut him up. And presumably, Huntingdon was all out of do-overs after this.

Like their match at Awesome Impact, that meant that Huntingdon was wrestling like a man possessed. And that also meant the Blue Blood was taking cheap shots at every opportunity in order to try and keep Morgan down. There were almost as many shots to the eyes and the throat than there were to legal parts of the body, with Duane claiming he'd never seen someone wrestle so desperately before. The tactics seemed to work in throwing off Morgan's game, preventing him from controlling much of the match. Huntingdon's more traditional tactics, in between the cheap shots, served to wear Morgan down but weren't putting him away. And Huntingdon could only keep Morgan down so long before the North American Champion mounted a comeback. Struggling to keep up, Huntingdon threw everything he had at Morgan, but as Duane pointed out, he was making rash mistakes. At the pace the match was going, things could still easily have gone either way. Huntingdon couldn't quite land that one good blow though and after arguing with the official over a close two count off a desperation small package, turned around into a high knee which left him stunned. Emma implored Huntingdon to fight back, since this was his only shot. Huntingdon was too far gone though, dazed by the shot he just took. And it was a formality from there, with Morgan hitting the Minnesota Salute and finishing the Blue Blood with the Empire Spiral, putting a decisive stamp on the win in the end as he retained his title once again.

Winner and still North American Champion: Joey Morgan, via pinfall, in 12:27

(B)

OVERALL: B (Increased pop in 3 regions)
