The Unrated and Untold Story of The Gambler

You got to know when to hold ’em, know when to fold ’em. Know when to walk away, know when to……get your ass kicked!

This is the story of the token stealin’, card flingin’, taxi cab ridin’ son of a gun himself...the wrestler known as The Gambler!

In September of 1994 Hulk Hogan and Eric Bischoff decided to send me down to Deep South Wrestling as part of the developement plan. I'm very glad that they also sent down Sarge, better known as Sgt. Craig "Pittbull" Pittman. He is legit tough and i'll tell you everything about it later.

Oh man Deep South Wrestling what can you say. It's a good developing ground, but you probably heard rumours about the WCW locker room and backstage politics. I'll tell you this, things isn't really better down in DSW. There certainly are a bunch of A-holes down here as well. One is Hulk Hogan's best friend and the self-proclaimed star of the DSW; Ed Leslie. Oh man what a jerk and cry-baby that guy is.

And then there is Horace Hogan, Hulk's nephew. A big guy, but unpolished and dangerous in the ring. I've heard rumours about roids and other drugs.

Talking about big guys, they have a worker down here that was quite over in the WCW earlier; he is one of those gymrats and stiff as hell...

Yeah you guessed right; Van Hammer. He is part of a new tag team called; The Heavy Metal Maniacs together with Maxx Payne. Maxx is back from Rehab and is actually a good guy, but he has got a temper. However Van Hammer he is one major A-Hole and he goes around telling everyone that he is "The Next Big Thing" and that Eric Bischoff has promised to push him to the moon. So when i faced Van Hammer in the ring, i was very happy to have The Sarge on my team. Like i said earlier, The Sarge is legit and you don't mess with him.

On the roster are also:

Chris Adams a technical wizard that also trains martial arts. Chris is the current DSW champion and for some reasons he really hates Steven Regal and Steve Austin. There are lots of bad blood between them.

"Das Wunderkind" Alex Wright. I don't know why, but this kid is a protege of Eric Bischoff and Hulk Hogan. He is labeled as "The Next Big Thing" and is undefeated in WCW. There word in the locker room is that Alex Wright is untouchable, so nobody dares mess with him.

Big Bad John a ripped bodybuilder and a friend of Diamond Dallas Page. Rumour has it that John is going to be called up to WCW and given a new gimmick soon.

Ice Train and Bobby Walker are a promising tag team that are being managed by manager Teddy Long. Ice Train is a charismatic and quite athletic powerhouse, while Bobby Walker is legit wrestler that really hates The Nasty Boys.

Flair and Hogan are not best friends, but they do accept each other since they are both businessmen. However there are some major A-holes in WCW like Marcus Alexander Bagwell and The Patriot. In august a clique of Marcus Alexander Bagwell, Dustin Rhodes and Scott Stud were being jerks backstage, first provoking and then physically attacking "Hacksaw" Jim Duggan, leading to a fight that had to be broken up by other wrestlers. </em></span></span></p><p><span style="color:#FFFFFF;"><span style="font-size:8px;"><em> </em></span></span></p><p><span style="color:#FFFFFF;"><span style="font-size:8px;"><em>

The Clique was of course punished and the rest of the locker room seemed pleased with the punishment. Except Jim Duggan, calling it "far too soft". The Rhodes have a lot of power backstage and Dusty Rhodes is a master politician and he really hates Terri Runnels and Ric Flair, constantly scheming and trying to start something...</em></span></span></p><p><span style="color:#FFFFFF;"> </span></p><p><span style="color:#FFFFFF;">

I'll try to continue and hopefully finish the work on the WCW Saturday Night episode, then it's time again for The Gambler. :D

It was kind of hilarious seeing Van Hammer trying to take liberties on the Swede, and then flying like a crash doll. <p>Oh, man. I can't imagine why Steve Austin would have heat with Chris Adams. Nope, <a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lady_Blossom" rel="external nofollow">no idea at all</a>. <img alt=":D" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/biggrin.png.929299b4c121f473b0026f3d6e74d189.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p><p>

Man, if I was a pro wrestler, and I wasn't a top-level star like the Flairs and Hogans of the world, I would want to be a full-time enhancement talent. Especially considering WCW's ridiculous salaries. You put in 5 minutes of work, and you make more than you could doing a 9 to 5 jobs out in the real world. That's the way to do it, you ask me.</p>
