AJPW ~ Burning Spirits

 

 

All Japan Pro Wrestling (オールジャパン・プロレスリング Ōru Japan Puroresuringu, originally 全日本プロレス Zen Nihon Puroresu) (AJPW/AJP) is a Japanese professional wrestling promotion established in 1972.

 

All Japan Pro Wrestling was once one of the most popular puroresu promotions still in operation, and although setbacks have beset the promotion in recent years, it has undertaken a comeback.

 

All Japan under Jun Akiyama (2014–present)

 

 

Jun Akiyama (秋山 準, born October 9, 1969) is a Japanese professional wrestler, currently working for All Japan Pro Wrestling (AJPW), where he is the president, representative director, co-head booker, and former two-time Triple Crown Heavyweight Champion.

 

On June 5, 2014, All Japan announced a corporate restructuring taking place on July 1, which would see Jun Akiyama take over as the promotion's new president. On July 1, the promotion announced another corporate name change to "All Japan Pro Wrestling kabushiki gaisha" (dropping the Japanese "Zen Nihon Puroresu" name), while also relocating its headquarters from Tokyo to Yokohama. Akiyama established a new company named Zen Nihon Puroresu Innovation, through which he will run the new All Japan Pro Wrestling. Akiyama also serves as the representative director of the promotion and reports to a board of directors, which most notably includes Suwama and Akebono. Motoko Baba also joined the promotion as a consultant.

 

On September 28, 2015, Go Shiozaki announced his resignation from All Japan. On November 2, it was announced that Akebono was also leaving All Japan with the goal of returning to mixed martial arts. On November 16, yet another wrestler, the reigning World Junior Heavyweight Champion Kotaro Suzuki, announced his departure from All Japan at the end of the month. Four days later, Yoshinobu Kanemaru also announced he would be leaving All Japan following December 15. Akiyama revealed that the departures were all for the same reason: All Japan had recently decided to change all of its wrestler contracts to pay-per-appearance contracts. In October 2016, the promotion announced it had reached a deal with satellite television provider Nippon BS Broadcasting for a monthly highlights show, Eleven, to be broadcast on the third Monday of each month. On November 27, 2016, the promotion returned to Ryōgoku Kokugikan for its first event at the venue in three years, headlined by Kento Miyahara defending the Triple Crown Heavyweight Championship against Suwama. Also as part of his new politics to help All Japan handle its schedule Akiyama has been forming partnerships with other promotions in Japan such as Big Japan Pro Wrestling (BJW), Dramatic Dream Team (DDT) and Wrestle-1 (W1), also contracting unaffiliated free agents for sporadic appearences.

The New Ace ~ Kento Miyahara

 

Kento Miyahara (宮原 健斗, born February 27, 1989) is a Japanese professional wrestler, currently signed to All Japan Pro Wrestling (AJPW). He was trained by Kensuke Sasaki and started his career in his Kensuke Office promotion in February 2008, before joining AJPW in January 2014. He won his first title, the All Asia Tag Team Championship, in August 2014. He has also held AJPW's World Tag Team Championship. In February 2016, Miyahara won AJPW's top title, the Triple Crown Heavyweight Championship, becoming the youngest winner of the title in the process. Currently he has successfully defended the championship eight times. Miyahara has been pointed as the New Ace of All Japan Pro-Wrestling since his consolidation as the Triple Crown Champion, blessed by Jun Akiyama's new management Myahara has been leading All Japan Pro-Wrestling to a new rise period that hopefully will bring the promotion back to it's glory days.

<p>I'll be the first to admit that I know very little about All Japan--but I'm pretty stoked to see an AJPW diary on here (mainly because it's so under served!)</p><p> </p><p>

That said, literally the one guy I know, Joe Doering (and his sweet Stan Hansen-light mustache) is not listed! Hopefully he'll be featured!</p>

<p><strong>Technical Information:</strong> I'm using the Real World Chronicles May 2017 update (<a href="http://www.greydogsoftware.com/forum/showthread.php?t=533463" rel="external nofollow">http://www.greydogsoftware.com/forum/showthread.php?t=533463</a>) by Fleisch, with some minor adjustments to make the game run smoother as I'm playing with AJPW. As I'm using a Real World mod, I'll be trying to keep things as realistic as possible with some minor turns to make it more fun for all of us.</p><p> </p><p>

The game started in May 2017, so I'll be reporting the save from this month and on. To make it more realistic as I'm playing with All Japan I'll be running Weekly events (with no broadcasting at first) which will be named after the tour for that respective month, at the end of each month there will be a "bigger" event which will finish the tour, this event will be broadcasted by the current broadcaster that I have a deal with.</p><p> </p><p>

- The Press Conference started with the president of AJPW, Mr. Jun Akiyama welcoming the journalists and thanking their presence. Akiyama then introduced the <span style="text-decoration:underline;">Triple Crown Champion</span> Kento Miyahara who would be available for questions.</p><p> </p><p>

- Akiyama announced that the <span style="text-decoration:underline;">AJPW Super Power Series 2017</span> will be taking place in following dates and locations: 5/2 (Kanto), 5/9 (Kanto), 5/16 (Kanto), 5/23 (Kanto) and <span style="text-decoration:underline;">5/28</span> (Kanto).</p><p> </p><p>

For this match, Aoki teamed up with Mr. President, Jun Akiyama to face Sato and a mystery oponnent, which was revealed to be former Triple Crown Champion and over 450+ pounder, Ryota Hama.

~ The match came to an end, when the much larger hit the Ryota Hammer on Aoki, after the match Sato stood over Aoki's crashed body laughing at his rival.
