As most of you know by now, I have perhaps one of the worst records in terms of diaries. Either it turns out to be terrible (Winds of Change, In My Eyes, etc) or it gets some steam and then it just fizzles out after awhile. (2010, 2012 and Rolling Out Of The Station)

So i've decided, this time around to do something a little different. And that involves doing away with the traditional GreyDog style of wrestling diaries. I've realized that maybe my problem is that i'm too over-eager on a project and once the stress and fatigue or working it day in and day out and struggling to make it work sets in; I lose interest.

Basically, i'm going to be doing what Codeydbw is doing right now with his diary and attempt to give you a more informal look on how things are going with an occasional in-depth look as to why I made a certain decision. (Like say if I ever turned Bayley heel...uh oh, foreshadow?)

I'll also be doing something different; I call it, the 'Universe Poll'. Every once a month, I will be presenting a variety of ideas I have planned that you can vote on. If a certain idea gets enough votes for it, I will consider making it a reality.

No write-ups, no character bits, just me trying to make it through the wild world that is WWE with no frills at all. So if you've come for any of that, I think you might be a little bit disappointed.

With that out of the way, let's begin!

DAY ONE:

The first thing to note is that i'm playing this game as Daniel Bryan. That's right, in this world, Daniel Bryan is not only the GM of SmackDown; but also the new booker of WWE. I wanted to try out CM Punk, but apparently TEW 2016 isn't too fond of people bringing wrestlers out of the business back in it.

The first order of business, change the gimmicks of Aiden English and Becky Lynch.

http://i.imgur.com/rQHIV8p.png

Pretentious Artist sounds like the perfect gimmick for Aiden to take up on. He's very self-important in his singing and compares himself to the best of music, so it would make sense.

http://i.imgur.com/KEPp9q1.png

Becky, I have some plans for her...I'm not saying anything that might be of interest, but let's just say; a spot for top heel for the SmackDown women's division is open.

The next thing to do...how about I check on what the future of the company looks like?

http://i.imgur.com/A0PoMZa.png

So we have two real contenders for next big thing, Sasha Banks and...Gran Metallik? I mean...ok? If that's what they say, i'll take their word on it.

What do our Hot Prospects look like?

http://i.imgur.com/5cNyXU3.png

Gran Metallik takes no. 1 on this spot again and it's at this point you wonder if maybe a few people in the team have a bit of a bias towards him.

http://i.imgur.com/4IEp4DM.png

That being said, he has some great basic skills and is a hell of high flier. He's pretty good on the mic too so, maybe they have a point. I'll give a test run and see how he does.

http://i.imgur.com/GktS7eB.png

Apollo Crews, another member of the hot prospects club is a solid wrestler but his psychology and mic skills need a little work. I might pair him up with someone, I don't know who yet; but i'll figure it out sooner or later.

Now I wonder, who should we add to our NXT roster?

http://i.imgur.com/eDyBimw.png

Sean Maluta is someone i'm excited to see on this list. He was in the Cruiserweight Classic and has appeared in NXT before. Not a bad worker overall, he is a little bland on the mic; but nothing too serious. I'd see him either filling in a massive hole in the cruiserweight division or being an important part of the midcard once he's ready.

Immediately contact to sign to a developmental deal.

While we're talking about NXT, i'd actually like to make a few call-ups.

http://i.imgur.com/SaZtql6.png

Kassius Ohno's someone we've tried out in NXT before and it didn't work out for reasons. But he's back now and back with a vengeance. I think he has the skills to be a good upper card guy for RAW or SmackDown. On another hand, he's also Cesaro's former tag partner. So maybe a reunion is in order?

http://i.imgur.com/qwaLJdA.png

This may come off as a bit of a surprise, but Oney Lorcan is actually a pretty solid brawler with decent basic skills. His psychology could use some work and he is a little boring on the stick, but once that's taken care of; he could play a major part in building WWE's future.

http://i.imgur.com/NRxMfoG.png

When you look at Pete Dunne, you think; potential champion. Be it in the cruiserweight, the midcard or even against one of the world titles, Pete Dunne has the in ring skill capacity to be a champ in this business. I'm a little worried about his psychology though and his mic skills are a concern. I might have to give him a manager and let him work the pre-shows before he's ready.

All three are immediately brought up to the main roster to be 'completely bastardized' by us. Kassius Ohno starts as a Lower Midcarder and Oney Lorcan is an Opener. As for Pete Dunne...

http://i.imgur.com/AEDsMWc.png

Apparently Pete Dunne doesn't even have a developmental contract...

Ah well, it's not a problem; just sign him up for a written contract.

So, contract signing time. Who can fill the void left by the three?

http://i.imgur.com/TBzlcdg.png

One name that piqued my interest is someone named Randy Reign. Not only is he a solid athlete, he's also apparently appeared in WWE before in a dark match. He has potential here and it could be interesting to see how he does.

http://i.imgur.com/nHqa10Q.png

Tim Donst also looks like someone who has potential, helps that he's actually pretty good on the stick. Definitely someone to look out for.

http://i.imgur.com/DIzVChy.png

And last but not least, the obligatory pick to get the IWC interested. Chris Sabin, former TNA champion and long time legend in the tag team scene. Quite an all-rounder and can easily fill in the role of uppercard veteran easily.

Sign all three to contracts.

Back to creative, who's on time decline?

http://i.imgur.com/8AsSVfs.png

Pretty standard stuff. Rest assured, these five will be putting over talent a lot here. This is not WCW you know.

Now let's take a little more of a in-depth look of the roster with our franchise players.

http://i.imgur.com/dJL7Cvr.png

With John Cena currently away, Randy Orton takes the reigns as the no. 1 wrestler in the company.

http://i.imgur.com/zo1tbB1.png

And why not? He's been a consistently solid brawler for years and has shown great physical ability. His 89 SQ is just the tip of the iceberg and has assured him he'll be a part of the main event for a long time to come.

http://i.imgur.com/YvJUwt9.png

If we're talking in ring skill, A.J Styles is bar none the best wrestler in the company. He's not the most charismatic and his 80 SQ does not scream 'face of WWE', but he's a guaranteed member of the main event and a frequent MOTN contender.

http://i.imgur.com/OG1u0mB.pnghttp://i.imgur.com/QbCSR34.png

Seth Rollins and Finn Balor take no. 3 and no. 4. Both are very capable wrestlers who have shown that they can have high quality matches and have no problems carrying RAW. I think when it comes down to it, Seth Rollins might have the better future overall. He seems to have better entertainment skills than Finn Balor.

http://i.imgur.com/L0t90tu.png

And rounding us out is Sheamus. Amongst the best brawlers in the company, Sheamus has the star quality to be a big time player for the company and so far he's done quite well for himself. But nearing the age 40, his ship might have sailed and he might have to settle for upper midcard gatekeeper for the rest of his career. (Not that it's a bad thing or anything...)

Looking from a bird's eye view, you can see we have 43 faces and 48 heels. A pretty decent ratio all things considered. I might turn a few of them face just to even things out a little, but for a start; that's pretty good.

The main event scene on both RAW looks very even all things considered, with a decent amount of faces and heels. I'm a little worried about SmackDown though. Five people may not be enough to carry an entire show. I might have to push a few people and add some meat to their roster.

http://i.imgur.com/mL8NnG9.png

The Tag Team Division seem decent at first, but once you push them to their brands; you discover that their kinda shallow right now. There are only 3 heel teams for RAW and 3 face teams for SmackDown. And one team on RAW is currently without a partner because of injury. As good as The Hardy Boyz, American Alpha, Sheamus and Cesaro, The New Day and The Usos are; they cannot carry the division alone. So we might need to add a few new teams to RAW and SmackDown just to make things steady.

So now that we've gone over the WWE world champion and tag team divisions, let's go over everyone other champion.

http://i.imgur.com/JC3VnHH.png

Universal- Brock Lesnar will be dropping the title as soon as SummerSlam comes. Yes, he's a tough as nails brawler; but when you only appear every so often, it really devalues the title. Now, as to who he'll drop to, I won't say. But it's someone who I think could be the future of WWE. (Also, he's not very safe so...yeah)

http://i.imgur.com/qeE3TXb.png

Intercontinental- Dean Ambrose has kind of been a flame out when you think of it. Yeah, he's a good brawler and he can go on the mic, but his WWE title run was a disappointment and he hasn't really set the world on fire in big matches recently. Some people have suggested a heel turn, but i'm not sure if that'll do it. I might need to retool him a little bit to right the ship, and that includes dropping the IC title.

http://i.imgur.com/L9RKxwa.png

United States- Kevin Owens had a disappointing world title reign, let's get that right. But ever since he dumped Chris Jericho; he's had new life breathed into him. A great brawler, and one of the best story tellers in the company; Kevin Owens is going to be around for a long time. Will he become world champ again? A 58 SQ doesn't make it sound promising but anything can happen.

http://i.imgur.com/b86bHBS.png

RAW Womens- Alexa Bliss should not have been as good as she is. But here we are, almost a year in her run in WWE and she's one of if not the best heel in both women's divisions. Sure her stats are that impressive, but she's got a ton of time to improve. So god help us all, Little Miss Bliss is sticking around for years to come.

http://i.imgur.com/e0qyRJb.png

SmackDown Womens- Naomi has worked hard for this moment and now she's finally got it...so, am I the only one who thinks maybe this might not have been the best decision? She's good in ring wise, don't get me wrong. But her psychology is lacking and her mic skills are little lackluster. I'll see whether or not she can improve in the coming months before I make a judgment.

http://i.imgur.com/BOMF8n3.png

Cruiserweight- Neville is the opposite of Dean Ambrose, in which he started out as a disappointment but became a revelation to behold. I actually want to see the cruiserweight division branch out and start facing off against other stars. If that ever comes, I want Neville to lead the pack. One of the best high fliers and an underrated mic worker too; Neville's one I have my eye on.

And now, to handle storylines. Now unlike other WWE diaries that just follow the storylines given to them at the time, i'm going to create some completely new ones. Which is good because lord help me if I have to remember what happened last week for something.

RAW:

Suplex City Is Open For Business: Brock Lesnar vs Samoa Joevs Roman Reigns is my main feud for RAW. Officially, Roman Reigns wants to be named no. 1 contender; but Samoa Joe enters in the conversation eventually. I won't spoil how, but he does it in a big way.

Asylum In Braun City: Dean Ambrose goes up against the rising Braun Strowman. I'll get this out of the way right now. I'm huge on Braun Strowman, if pushed right; he could be one of the biggest wrestlers in WWE literally and figuratively. If anyone is going to bring Dean's game back up; it could easily be Braun Strowman's time to shine.

Reaching The Bar: This one stays relatively the same. The Hardy Boyz and Shesaro do battle with each other.

Demons Don't Make The King: Remember when I said I wanted to see the Cruiserweights branch out? Well this is how I plan to do it. By having Neville go up against Finn Balor. No titles on the line, just a matter of who the better wrestler is.

Must (I) See (You) Flame Out?: Seth Rollins goes up against The Miz in the last of the main feuds of RAW. Basically, Seth and Miz are having a friendly little debate over how they've been since WrestleMania. The issue at hand is that Miz believes that Seth's already peaked. Has he? Has he not? We shall see.

Corrupting the Hugger: Alexa Bliss vs Bayley, guest starring Bray Wyatt, Sasha Banks and two newcomers that I won't reveal at this time. Now you might be asking yourself, why the hell is it called 'Corrupting the Hugger?' Well, you'll have to find out for yourself to answer that question.

Double A Stands For The Facts: So, did you know that Curt Hawkins is a cruiserweight? No seriously, he counts as a cruiserweight.

http://i.imgur.com/MthaoHx.png

I could actually do something with this one here. And what better way to do it than to do it with Austin Aries?

SmackDown:

Proving The Viper Wrong: Randy Orton takes on someone who hasn't had his opportunity yet. Can you guess who it is? No, it's not Jinder...It's Chad Gable. Why Chad Gable? Because...well...why not? Chad's proven to be a good athlete, why not have him try his luck in major storyline and see how he does there?

Brawl Bless America: Cheesy title aside, Kevin Owens gets his hands full with Shinsuke Nakamura, Baron Corbin and Luke Harper. Basically, take four badass brawlers and let them go all out and watch the magic speak for itself.

Styles Collide: Don't think I'm leaving A.J Styles out, I'm pairing him up with someone very special. Kassius Ohno. You heard correctly, Kassius is getting the Kevin Owens treatment. I'm pretty serious on Kassius Ohno here and as mentioned earlier, I think he could be a major asset for the company.

Day One Is New Day: The Usos vs The New Day. Simple as that. Nothing changes here.

Fighting Fire With Fire: It's Becky Lynch versus Charlotte Flair vs Naomi vs Carmella. In short, it's chaos. Everyone's against everyone, people can't trust each other, it's pure anarchy. And that's the sort of thing fans in WWE love most right? Unadulterated mayhem with a hint of storytelling in it.

And that's pretty much it for roster stuff all things considered. Now there's one last thing to take care of. And that's RAW. And why do I say that I need to take care of RAW you may ask?

Well it turns out that my first show is tonight...

.

.

.

Yeah, i'mma be right back.

(Five minutes of agonized screaming later)

All right, now that i've got that out of my system; here now is the official first cards of the Daniel Bryan era.

RAW:

Bray Wyatt vs Jack Gallagher

Enzo and Cass vs Sheamus and Cesaro

Bayley vs Emma

Neville vs Akira Tozawa

Finn Balor vs The Brian Kendrick

Samoa Joe vs Roman Reigns

Also: Brock Lesnar will be making an appearence to discuss his future in WWE.

The Miz will be hosting Miz TV and Seth Rollins has been announced as his guest.

Main Event:

Aiden English vs Kalisto

Breezango vs The Ascension

Rich Swann vs Drew Gulak

Nia Jax and Alicia Fox vs Mickie James and Dana Brooke

SmackDown:

Baron Corbin vs Shinsuke Nakamura

Sin Cara and Tye Dillinger vs The Bollywood Boyz (Samil and Sunil Singh)

Six Way To Determine No. 1 Contender for WWE Championship: Erick Rowan vs Chad Gable vs Dolph Ziggler vs Sami Zayn vs Fandango vs Luke Harper

Naomi vs Charlotte Flair

AJ Styles vs Jinder Mahal

And that will wrap our first day up.

Next Time: The first episode of Monday Night RAW and Main Event in Daniel Bryan's reign is booked!
