[CVerse]FREEDOM Isn't Free

Recommended Posts

Pro Wrestling, right now, it's on top of the world, more people than ever are joining the fast growing industry and depending on who you ask, it's the highest it's ever been. USPW dominates the united states, with SWF and TCW down but not out, and the numerous independent promotions have put on shows that fans say rival those bigger companies. Canada is lock in numeros promotional wars, each trying to gain a upper hand and therefore making finding work there easier for the boys. In Mexico lucha libre has the entire nation of fans on their seats. The british isles are prospering with the rise of 21CW, and Japan is finding its identity after the “INSPIRE Crisis”. Even quiet places like Europe and Australia have potential to see some game changing action.

In the midst of all this action however, sits a tiny island that some in the wrestling world have forgotten. In the middle of the Caribbean, far away from the Nicky Champions and Tommy Cornells, sits the little island of Puerto Rico, and on that Island, sits the little company of FREEDOM, Caribbean Wrestling.

Puerto Rico's biggest, and only wrestling promotion

You see, FCW is considered the bottom barrel of wrestling, it's JUST big enough not to be considered a outlaw mud show, but it's small enough to be scoffed at when fans talk about which companies really gonna shine. Puerto Rican Power knows this, every time he opens up his books or steps in that ring, those doubts rear their ugly heads. If he were being honest with himself, it's not often he's dream of it all just falling apart right on top of him.

http://i63.tinypic.com/n65g1k.jpg

The Rich Port's Hero

It was different today, Power. looked at the Total Extreme Wrestling forum post, as he often did, sure it's a cardinal sin to even interact with the marks, but the temptation to see what's being said behind his back was just too great. “What the hell even is FCW?”, “FCW is straight trash”, “why hasn't TCW bought them out yet?” are the usual threat topics whenever they are even managed to be mentioned.

“Christ, what would Shawn say if he saw me like this”, Power said with a small grin that quickly turned into a frown. Just as he began to once again mourn for his lost friend, he snapped back to the screen. He knew what he had to do, he knew what needed to be done. Shawn knew just how good they had it, Puerto Rico doesn’t have the best drawing power in wrestling, but it hasn’t been touched by the bigger companies, it hasn’t even been noticed by them, but a time will come when the Nicky Champions, or Aaron Andrews will storm the beaches for a nice pay day.

Puerto Rican Power wasn’t going to let that happen, he needed to build a company that could hold on, he needed to make a lasting legacy that this island will never forget, he had to,

For Shawn...

And thus begins my first ever game for you guys, I didn’t want to do a RL local to global since they always seem to bore me after the first year or so, but at the same time I now little to NOTHING about the Cverse, so it's both a easy challenge to start, plus the story and “lore” of FCW I’ve gotten gives me a lot to work with. I would love any tips on hires or anything else you would like to share, and hope you give this mess a chance, I'll be doing the roster and title post as well as the prediction for the first event tomorrow, until then, lets see how long FCW will last :p

(also I know I can't spell for S#@%, so please be patient.)

<p>Consider me subscribed!</p><p> </p><p>

FCW is an interesting company to play as. The main eventers are for the most part aging (and maybe over the hill depending on destiny rolls), while the cupboard is kind of bare when it comes to young talent that can be immediately elevated.</p><p> </p><p>

The finances aren't that great, but as you mention in your intro, FCW has no competition in Puerto Rico.</p><p> </p><p>

In terms of signings, I would look for good workers since it's a Performance over Pop product. In my own game, I signed Logan Wolfsbaine and Xavi Ferrera with plans to push them. I would also look at El Mitico Jr and Ant-Man if you can afford them. Boriken Love Machine Jr could also work in a hometown hero angle.</p><p> </p><p>

In my game, I lost Kirk Jameson to USPW the first month, and the threat is there that Hell's Bouncer can get poached too.</p><p> </p><p>

Good luck!</p>

<p>Uhhh, you have me intrigued, I will be following how you get it on.</p><p> </p><p>

And this hits a little close to home because i have an inactive or dead FCW diary (I havent lost all faith), so i want to see where you can triumph that i failed.</p><p> </p><p>

Be careful, some of your guys even if they arent that popular in America, have some popularity in Japan, they are more plausible to raid you before one of the big 3, also dont get attached to Kirk Jameson and Hell´s Bouncer</p><p> </p><p>

Im looking forward to this diary</p>

We’re only one month away from the biggest event in FCW, Fight For FREEDOM, but we have one last hurdle to climb before that, Freedom Fighters. Puerto Rican Power claims we are about to experience a new era in FCW, and with a card like this, it's going to be a golden age.</p><p> </p><p>

FREEDOM FIGHTERS 2016 CARD:</p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Puerto Rican Boyz © V.S Davis Wayne Newton and Rob Reynolds: FCW Tag Team Titles</strong></p><p>

<em>The tag champs have been on a huge roll ever since winning the belts from the Wasteland warriors, who haven’t been seen since July. Can the local heros keep the momentum rolling, or will this rag tag team of Newton and Reynolds grab the gold?</em></p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Masked Stranger V.S Tex Tagan</strong></p><p>

<em>With Carlos Gonzalez being beaten to a bloody pulp by Tex at the last show, many are in doubt if he will be able to keep his promise of revenge at Fight For FREEDOM, until then, the Masked Stranger, FCW newest signing has taken the gauntlet to to challenge the vicious Texan to a match, will it be his last?</em></p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Ox Mastadon© V.S Jesus Chavez: FCW People’s Championship</strong></p><p>

<em>Ox Mastadon has yet to defend the peoples championship, instead joining his allies Carl Batch and King Kong Kennedy in their everlasting war against the Latino Kings, of which Jesus Chavez has stepped up to promise the people an end Ox’s title reign. Can the Kings secure a championship win, or will the dominating 937 express see them watching the lights?</em></p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Billy Russell and Puerto Rican Power vs. Giant Brody and Handsome Stranger</strong></p><p>

<em>Handsome Stranger and Puerto Rican Power, a rivalry as old as FCW itself, however the addition of Giant Brody has seen the fight been turned to a whole new level of intensity. Add in the MMA legend Billy Russell to the mix and you have a massive co-main event. Will the Rich Island hero and his tap out artist partner take the win, or will the giant forms of Stranger and Brody cheat another win?</em></p><p><em>

</em></p><p>

<strong>Hell's Bouncer© vs. Leper Messiah vs. Kirk Jameson: FCW Puerto Rican Heavyweight Title</strong></p><p>

<em>Hell’s Bouncer has been dominated every opponent who's stepped in his way ever since he destroyed Puerto Rican Power for his second title, but he took the fight to his newest challenger last month when Leper Messiah won a #1 contender's battle royal. Not only this, but all this month, Kirk Jameson has took to social media, saying that he hasn’t been respected by the company or the fans, and demanded that he be put in a title match. While we’re unsure why management would grant such a request, but the question still remains, who will be the champion going into Fight For Freedom?</em></p>

<p><strong>Puerto Rican Boyz ©</strong> V.S Davis Wayne Newton and Rob Reynolds: FCW Tag Team Titles</p><p>

<em>Depending on the destiny roll, Island Boy Apollo might be a show stealer for you, so I think you're wise to build up the tag champs.</em></p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Masked Stranger</strong> V.S Tex Tagan</p><p>

<em>The heels probably need to be established first before the faces get their revenge. I'll be interested to see how Giant Brody fares for you.</em></p><p> </p><p>

<em>Going out on a limb and saying that Hell's Bouncer is the one getting poached. If that's the case, Jameson would be a good champion to continue the feud with Leper.</em></p>

FCW: FREEDOM FIGHTERS]

Attendance: 1,000 Fans

Date: Saturday, Week 2, 2016

We start tonight's show as the Puerto Rican Champion makes his way down to the ring, he calls out the nightmarish Leper Messiah all while showcasing his truly menacing stance. Leper does indeed come out to the ring, brandishing his usual assortment of hardcore weapons, but is immediately hit from behind by Kirk Jameson, who has a mic in hand. Kirk says Messiah is just another “Washed up DAVE fan who could never move on” (This gets some fans ready to riot) and that in a one on one wrestling match, neither he, nor that fake ass mall cop over there could ever beat him. Giving Hell’s Bouncer a large smirk, Jameson walks confidently to the back.

In the opening match, we have the exciting tag team action for the championships in a match that surprised almost everyone. While in essence this match was designed to make the champs more over, the performance and natural chemistry between Newton and Reynolds shined, with Reynolds have the crowd at his fingertips the entire time. Even with this skill however, it only took one welcome to the island to put the challengers down for the one, two three in 11:39.

Apollo and Kid didn’t even have time to recover from their match before smoke began to come from under the ring, and soon the tag team champs fled the ring as the tell tale sign of the Wasteland warriors lays before them. While they never show up to the ring, but on the new projector system, where a video plays showing a battered landscape with Bull Wrecker sitting on his knuckles while Mutant laughs, saying (in metaphors and rhymes) that at Fight For Freedom 9, they would get their rematch for their tag team titles, and the current champions nod in approval, the match is set.

While you can’t talk down the skill showed by the masked stranger, Tex Tagan had this match from the start, constantly cheating every opening he could get. The match picked up in its final minute as all the sudden Carlos Gonzalez’s music hits, sending the crowd into show as the maniac makes his way slowly to the ring. Carlos stops halfway, smiling with a big toothless grin, the plan clearly working, with masked stranger rolling up Tex for an almost three count, but a quick transition into a Irish whip followed by a massive lariat ends the match with the villainous texan standing tall at 8:53.

The boo’s are almost instant as 937 pounds of flesh are lead to the ring by Carl Batch, who with a microphone in hand hypes up the current People’s Champion Ox Mastodon, and promises a quick match for his first defense. A collection of gunshots alerts the express that their long time rivals Latino Kings have entered the building, with Rudy stating that his “homie” is gonna end Ox’s title reign at the first hurdle, and accompanies Jesus to ringside for the match.

Jesus tried, he really did, but no amount of fights on the streets of Arecibo can prepare you for a match with someone like Ox. To his credit however, not only did Jesus it took a cheap shot from mr. Batch and his famous cane to knock him out, and seeing Rudy and Kennedy brawl on the sidelines from square one didn’t help either, and the match ended with a Ten Ton Splash after 10:10

This match probably should have been better, but the pairing of Russell and Power had almost no chemistry, where Power would use hard hitting strikes, Russell would do the same, and the crowd just wasn’t impressed. Nevertheless, Handsome stranger and Power had a nice set of segments where they just hammered away at each other, which brought the crowd back somewhat, who reached with massive boos after a steel chair to the skull of Power brought the close at 11:42.

Its main event time as the triple threat is a brutal display as Hell’s Bouncer and Leper Messiah take Kirk Jameson out early on with a massive double clothesline. Bouncer and Messiah both take turns beating on each other in an absolute slobberknocker till the halfway point where Jameson made a impressive comeback taking out Bouncer and taking the fight straight to Messiah. It's not until it looks like Bouncer gets back and sets up Messiah for a finishing blow until a bulls-eye out of nowhere by Jameson takes the man from below down, and at 13:13, Kirk Jameson wins his first Puerto Rican title. Nearly broken and battered from a match with two behemoths, Jameson holds the FCW’s main title high above his head as the crowd goes home excited about the prospect of this new era.

So that happened, honestly I had a higher hope for that tag team match at the end, but I can't say I'm not happy with how the show came about, next post will be the next even prediction list and replies to some of your awesome comments, and also yes, Hell's Bouncer has been signed by USPW,

however Kirk has not had a single offer float his way, so I consider myself blessed :D

Its here, its the biggest FCW show of the year, that's right, it's time for The Fight For Freedom 9! It truly is the definition of a supercard, 2016 see FREEDOM’s new era coming out swinging, and with the success of last month’s Freedom Fighters, can the ball keep rolling?

The Fight For FREEDOM IX Card:

Davis Wayne Newton and Rob Reynolds V.S Masked Stranger and Kip Keenan

After an impressive first time tagging together last month, Newton and Reynolds impressed the wrestling world when they went toe to toe with the tag team champions. the fans demanded another match, and we will see if this new tag team can ride with the duo of newcomer Masked Stranger and mainstay Kip Keenan.

Carlos Gonzalez V.S Tex Tagan: First Blood Match

Carlos Gonzalez tried to give the Masked Stranger the win over Tex Tagan, but it was in vain as Tex came out strong over the newcomer, now the contract has been signed, with Puerto Rican Power announcing via FCW’s social media accounts that this match will be a FIRST BLOOD MATCH. Will Gonzalez finally get his revenge over Tagan, or will the bullrope be too much for the maniac to avoid a bloody night.

Giant Brody V.S Billy Russell (PRP and Handsome Stranger Banned from ringside)

With last month match ending in controversy, the two FCW legends have demanded one on one matches with the stranger and Brody, who will be taking on the “tap out artist” Billy Russell. Will the MMA star finally overcome the odds against the giant, or will Brody be too much for him.

Curtis Shaw V.S Joffy Laine V.S Rudy Velasquez V.S Ox Mastodon©: FCW People’s Championship

Not only will champion Ox Mastodon be dealing with Velasquez, the inclusion of Shaw and Laine may have evened the odds, but the express isn’t foreign to having the odds stacked against them by “the little people” as King Kong Kennedy would say. Will the champion retain, will his rival finally pin the big man, or will the new additions steal an upset victory against the two mainstays?

The Puerto Rican Boyz© V.S The Wasteland Warriors: FCW Tag Team Champions

Last month the challenge was made, the team of Bull Wrecker and Mutant have invoked their rematch clause and will challenge the sensational tag team from San Juan for the FCW Tag Team Titles, who will walk out of the biggest show of the night with the Tag Titles?

Puerto Rican Power V.S The Handsome Stranger (Giant Brody and Billy Russell are Banned from ringside)

With last month match ending in controversy, the two FCW legends have demanded one on one matches with Brody and The Stranger, who will be taking on the “Rich Island Hero” Billy Russell. Puerto Rican Power. Will the Owner of FCW finally get his opponent down for the three count, or will Handsome Stranger prove once and for all he is the “chosen one” of wrestling?

Leper Messiah V.S “The Marksman” Kirk Jameson©: FCW Puerto Rican Heavyweight Championship

Kirk Jameson finally climbed the ladder after defeating the unstoppable Hell’s Bouncer to win his first ever Puerto Rican Heavyweight Championship. Still having a 1 on 1 title shot owed to him, Leper Messiah looks to regain the title he hasn’t held since 2012. Will Jameson defend his title on this big stage or will the nightmarish one put a quick end to the Jameson era of FCW.

I think if you had to lose one, you're better off with it being Hell's Bouncer instead of Jameson. It still sucks, but Kirk will hopefully continue to go unpoached long enough for you to build up a challenger.

Enjoyed the first show too. Seems like there's a quick sorting out of who you can rely on and who you can't. Should make for another entertaining show.

Davis Wayne Newton and Rob Reynolds V.S Masked Stranger and Kip Keenan

I think you're keen on pushing Newton and Reynolds, but I can't see it coming at the expense of your new signing and someone with potential like Keenan. Davis and Rob put up a good fight, and gain by losing.

Carlos Gonzalez V.S Tex Tagan: First Blood Match

A lot of this will depend on your owner goals. Mine were that I coudn't sign or resign any one that had trouble with the law. That, combined with Carlos' bad attitude, meant he lost this feud. I think he can be useful to you though if that isn't the case, so I'm thinking he wins here.

Giant Brody V.S Billy Russell

It's time to start pushing the future of FCW, and hopefully Brody turns out to be a big man that can actually wrestle.

Curtis Shaw V.S Joffy Laine V.S Rudy Velasquez V.S Ox Mastodon©: FCW People’s Championship

I see you haven't caught Ox fever. :) For the life of me, I can't figure out what the game is trying to tell us with Mastodon starting out with a title. A quick switch to Joffy would be a good way to elevate a promising worker, but I'm think that comes down the road.

The Puerto Rican Boyz© V.S The Wasteland Warriors: FCW Tag Team Champions

As you said in your match review, PRB have a lot of potential, so I think you stick with them for now. I'll be interested to see how Mutant performs. There are already so many big men that can't work on the roster it feels unfair for you to be burdened with another.

Puerto Rican Power V.S The Handsome Stranger

From what I remember, PRP has creative control. That means it might make you hesitate to put him in a feud with Jameson, but I think that's your best path forward in the continuing build of Kirk.

Leper Messiah V.S “The Marksman” Kirk Jameson©: FCW Puerto Rican Heavyweight Championship

Jameson continues to rise, getting another good win. Not sure what the match score will be, but Kirk hopefully can carry Messiah.
