However, I decided to post it here as this Discord aims to complement the already existing IRC channel and has the goal to bring the community together in live discussions. Please remember that all of the Grey Dog Software rules apply in there, even if it's a platform that is in no way affiliated with Grey Dog Software. There are currently channels about several games, including the TEW series, WMMA series, Bowl Bound and Fast Break Series, among others. Here are the rules as written on the discord server: Rules: Welcome to the unofficial GDS Discord. All GDS Forum Rules apply here and please keep in mind that this is a family friendly Discord Server, so please keep in mind the most basic rules: 0: Reading and respecting the entirety of the rules is mandatory if you wish to be a member of this community. By remaining on this Server you acknowledge that you have read and accepted these terms and agree to respect them. 1: No Offensive Language, no kind of any NSFW content, no discrimination or insults of any kind is allowed under any circumstances. 2: No discussions about piracy or any other illegal activities should ever be held here. This covers both GDS games or any other kind of game/platform. 3: No flaming, no spamming, no advertising of any kind. Sharing of external links should be made in conformity with all the GDS rules and all the rules listed in this section. 4: No asking for Mod, Admin or any other kind of power position. These positions will be given to GDS Staff, Mods or other selected RESPONSIBLE members that may help run the community. 5: Any GDS Mod and Staff Member will automatically be assigned a role of either Mod or Admin, respectively, provided that they send me a PM on forums to verify their identity. This includes Game Developers and all of the GDS Staff if they so wish to join. 6: This Discord is an unofficial GDS platform and has no official affiliation with Grey Dog Software. However, we do strive to meet their rules and standards. If you see any of these or any other GDS rules being broken, please report it immediately to a staff member. Upon joining you will no longer be a guest, you will be a member and will be able to start talking to other members of the community immediately. 2 Mods have been assigned, one of those is also a mod of the GDS boards. And last but not least, our channels include the possibility to discuss all GDS games, which include MMA5 and there is also a channel for other games, as well as several voice channels.</p><p> </p><p> We currently have 78 members. While the majority still discusses TEW, the WMMA5 channel has already began being used and we expect to be able to provide the best service for anyone that wants to have fun and discuss their favorite GDS games, as well as a variety of topics, such as sports, wrestling, MMA and so on. Added a new mod and added a music bot with the respective music text and voice channels. For now it is controlled by Admin and Mods only, in order to avoid the channels being clustered and the content is easier to manage and control this way. We are currently with 96 members. Thanks to everyone that keeps making us grow. I would just like to say, as some people have asked this in the past, that this discord does not aim to replace the forums in any way, as they continue to be the official and only way to get all the GDS content. It just aims to complement them by providing a unique real time text and voice interaction.</p><p> </p><p> Which is great as a lot of us don't have many people to talk about these games outside of here. So to reiterate, this discord serves as a complement to forums and not a replacement. shawn michaels Posted February 8, 2018 Author Share Posted February 8, 2018 <p>Update 5: After user feedback, removed the possibility for regular users to use the @everyone and @here commands, as they no longer ping everyone except when used by mods or above for server announcements or specific important situations. Changed prefix for the bot commands to avoid a conflict that was happening between both bots in the music channel.</p><p> </p><p> Edit: Removed the music bot Rythm (due to a conflict) and the music is now provided by the original Dyno bot. shawn michaels Posted February 21, 2018 Author Share Posted February 21, 2018 Update 6: Added specific generic tags (non overlapping roles with the sole purpose of group tagging) for TEW, WWMA and Other Games, so that players within those groups (those who choose them, as they are optional) can tag each other, thus keeping the use of @everyone unneeded and disabled. Member count is currently at 126. Thanks to everyone that has made this a great community and real time experience for the GDS fan base. The mod to be played is still to be selected. Right now we are accepting applications and depending of the number of interested people we will set a date for it to start according with rules/guidelines to follow, etc. For more info you can join our discord, which is also the place to apply. We have a dedicated channel for participants (so that everyone can have access to it in one place) and we will be seeing how this goes. If it works well, more community games may follow and not just TEW ones.</p><p> </p><p> At this point there are no plans to make a dynasty out of it but that can change if the players involved are interested in that option. I will oversee things along with the discord staff, but will likely not take place due to professional commitments that are taking some of my time these next few weeks. The football channel is now for all sports and is appropriately called "Sports". We have also included an off-topic section that includes the new "question of the day" channel. More changes might come regarding bots, depending if it's beneficial to the server or not, and will be updated here if/when they happen. Partnerships are non profitable associations with other servers to mutually advertise each other's servers. We therefore welcome FM Lounge as our first partner. In this discord we discuss mainly Football and football manager related issues, with football related events every day and the encouraging of members participation through these interactive events. FM Lounge is a recently created server and is currently expanding its fan base.
