Whatever settings I conjure up, the fighters always look the same. Imo it's a bit darkish. The only 'remedy' is to use no lightning (default head lightning), but then it looks too light. The one in the singlet has her fingers clipping through her arm. Don't worry about it. You can certainly see improvements as you are going along so a big well done for that. Just a small note on the last render; to me at least, the arms look as though they are in somewhat of an unnatural position and quite possibly are crossing over into the torso of the character.
