Not sure if I'll get the hair to conform and for the faces I'll have to do it all from scratch, but for the generic poses I guess it doesn't matter. When you apply "Gen3 Hair", for example, to a Gen8 model you'll get a popup asking you which figure it was designed for and what type of item it is. A lot of the time it works out OK but not 100% of the time. The further back you go to the original Genesis the less likely you'll get them to work properly. Poses are another thing entirely, the older poses won't work because the values/limits are different to the previous Genesis models so they'll likely look a tangled mess. Most of my hair and clothing is v4, which works for this thing we do here, but not if you do full posing. Then it's manual adjusting time. But sometimes, somehow, it fits. With hairs I just parent it to the head to prevent that wizard from 'converting' the hair which distorts it and destroys all the morphs to replace them with... crap actually. Blackman Posted December 6, 2021 Author Share Posted December 6, 2021 For anyone already busy or anyone aspiring to make these, the M6 bundle is free right now on the official website. It includes MMA shorts and gloves, which is pretty much all you need. You can get started with the included hair and the default ones (or whatever free ones you can find). The G2 model this is used on is free as well. You can easily use the items on the latest G8.1, which also comes with the free DazPro package. jw80daddy Posted April 6, 2022 Share Posted April 6, 2022 Not sure if any requests are being taken atm, but I'm working on a database that starts in 1964 through to the 80's, and is loaded with traditional martial artists; such as judokas, karatekas, jiu-jitsu (Japanese & Brazilian), amateur wrestlers (mostly American & Russian), and Thai fighters. Mostly Asian, but there are a couple of white & black judokas and karatekas. I haven't really seen many renders wearing a gi, etc., other than maybe a couple. I'm no render creator or artist, so if anyone feels up to it or is interested in creating a few, that would be super cool. No big deal either way, but figured it couldn't hurt to ask.
