Just five days remain until AJ Styles defends the WWE Championship against his old rival, Chris Jericho at Fastlane. But before the two talented competitors clash, The Phenomenal One had a few choice words for his adversary. Kicking SmackDown LIVE off with a direct address to Y2J, the WWE Champion promised his "phenomenal fans" that he would be heading into WrestleMania with the gold, one way or another. The self-proclaimed Best in the World had a different opinion on the matter, however, and interrupted Styles' Fastlane address to guarantee a victory of his own and make it clear to AJ Styles that he was going to be King of the World one more time come WrestleMania.

But their confrontation was derailed by none other than The Viper, Randy Orton who arrived to politely inform both competitors that regardless of who leaves Ohio with the WWE Championship, it will be him that they face at The Show of Shows. Adding to the commotion, Orton's claims were denied by his two opponents this Sunday, Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn. And as chaos became seemingly inevitable, the Commissioner of SmackDown LIVE arrived to clean up the mess. Shane McMahon revealed his plan to settle the situation with tonight's main event, revealing that Randy Orton would team with the WWE Champion, AJ Styles to take on Chris Jericho and either Kevin Owens or Sami Zayn - and it's down to them to choose who participates. Once again driving a wedge between the two best friends, Shane left with a grin as the five superstars eyed up the opposition.

<div style="font:24px Roboto;font-weight:bold;color:#103ab6;">SmackDown Women's Champion Charlotte Flair def. Liv Morgan</div>

The SmackDown Women's Championship might have a new home come this Sunday, but before that, Charlotte Flair looked to knock off another member of The Riott Squad, and she was able to do just that by forcing Liv Morgan into submission with a Figure-Eight Leglock. But it wasn't without controversy as Sarah Logan and the number one contender, Ruby Riott got involved, only to be counteracted by Becky Lynch and Naomi who will also compete at WWE Fastlane, against Liv Morgan and Sarah Logan in tag team action.

The Queen may have ruled over the bout this week, but in five days, will she be able to retain her precious crown jewels against Ruby Riott one-on-one?

<div style="font:24px Roboto;font-weight:bold;color:#103ab6;">The Bludgeon Brothers def. Local Competitors</div>

It's becoming somewhat of a staple of SmackDown LIVE for The Bludgeon Brothers to decimate a tag team unit and look unbelievably dominant in doing so. Disposing of yet another local pairing, Harper and Rowan looked unstoppable and stood head and shoulders above everyone, but that was only until the quartet of Breezango and The Ascension arrived on the scene moments after the big men's victory.

For the first time ever, The Bludgeon Brothers found themselves reeling as a result of a 4-on-1 attack from their recent rivals. Thanks to a four-man clothesline sending Harper and Rowan over the ropes, The Bludgeon Brothers were put in an unfamiliar position. But as Rowan revved up to return the favour, he was stopped by his destructive brother at the last second, Harper wagging his finger at their adversaries as if to suggest it will be on their terms when they next collide.

<hr>

It certainly seems obvious that Shane McMahon intends to drive a wedge between best friends, Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn, and it appears to be working. The former co-contenders for the WWE Championship argued over who would participate in the main event, only for The Underdog of the Underground to bring it to a halt, claiming that he saw Shane's plan unfolding and he wasn't about to let it happen. Strangely enough, Sami Zayn offered to give the former Universal Champion the spot in the main event to avoid any further disagreements, which is what Shane McMahon is hoping for. The Prizefighter agreed and shared an embrace with his best friend. But now the question is - can Kevin Owens and Chris Jericho co-exist considering their rocky history?

<div style="font:24px Roboto;font-weight:bold;color:#103ab6;">Jimmy Uso def. SmackDown Tag Team Champion Chad Gable</div>

It was the night of the SmackDown Tag Team Champions last week as Shelton Benjamin secured a victory over Jey Uso in singles action. But this week saw the roles reversed, as Jimmy Uso levelled the score and was able to beat Chad Gable one-on-one with a devastating superkick out of nowhere that knocked him out cold. A victory for the number one contenders meant that momentum was even heading into WWE Fastlane, and that certainly sat well with the WWE Universe.

The number one contenders celebrated a victory with a symbolic gesture towards the WrestleMania sign hanging high above the ring. Can The Usos regain the SmackDown Tag Team Championships and head into their first official match on The Grandest Stage of Them All?

<div style="font:24px Roboto;font-weight:bold;color:#103ab6;">United States Champion Bobby Roode def. Aiden English</div>

The Glorious One has to contend with Jinder Mahal at Fastlane this Sunday in a rematch from the United States Championship Tournament Finals, but before the two polar opposites collide, Bobby Roode was met by The Artiste in non-title action. However, even with The Bulgarian Brute by his side, Aiden English was unable to score an upset victory and take down the United States Champion, falling victim to a Glorious DDT as Rusev looked on in disappointment.

The victory was Roode's, but his moment came at a price as The Modern Day Maharajah stormed ringside along with Sunil Singh to brutally assault his Fastlane opponent. With the WWE Universe letting him hear their opinion on him, Mahal delivered a Khallas to his rival and raised the prestigious title over his head. We may have witnessed a preview of things to come in just five days, but if Bobby Roode has his way, the result will be nothing short of "glorious".

<hr>

Tye Dillinger has scored upset victories over Baron Corbin on multiple occasions as of late, and paid the price last week when The Lone Wolf surprised The Perfect 10 with an assault after his match. As Dillinger was interviewed backstage by Renee Young about his recent trail of success, he was once again blindsided by his rival as Corbin laid waste to him in the backstage area. Making a statement, The Lone Wolf revealed that he would see Tye Dillinger this Sunday in the official Kickoff Show. Will Dillinger be able to pull off a third win over his larger rival this Sunday?

<div style="font:24px Roboto;font-weight:bold;color:#103ab6;">Carmella def. Lana</div>

Miss Money in the Bank has a hold on the SmackDown LIVE women's division thanks to the unique opportunity contained within her briefcase. The Princess of Staten Island was able to rally some momentum and defeat Lana one-on-one with a vicious superkick to the Ravishing Russian.

Moments after her victory, Carmella made it clear that she believed <i>she</i> is the future of SmackDown LIVE, climbing up the announce table and officially declaring that she is the next SmackDown Women's Champion. The opportunity is in her grasp, but when she will take advantage of that is another question.

<div style="font:24px Roboto;font-weight:bold;color:#103ab6;">WWE Champion AJ Styles & Randy Orton def. Chris Jericho & Kevin Owens</div>

A chaotic start to the show led to an enormous main event with WWE Fastlane just five days away. But the chaos that kicked off the show boiled over into this bout and things broke down as quick as they began. Sami Zayn watched closely from ringside, but became embroiled in the closing moments. However, before that, the bitter enemies that are AJ Styles and Chris Jericho ended up in a fist-flying brawl, taking out their frustrations just days before their WWE Championship clash. Meanwhile, with only Orton and Owens remaining, Sami Zayn tried to assist his best friend, only to accidentally deliver a blow to the head of the former Universal Champion, allowing The Viper to strike with an RKO and secure the pinfall on one of his two Fastlane adversaries.

Moments after the victory that Randy Orton had achieved, the attention quickly turned to the top of the stage where the number one contender had driven AJ Styles into the steel stage with a sickening powerbomb. But Y2J's vicious streak did not stop there as he applied the Walls of Jericho, refusing to release the hold despite the orders of several officials. Jericho was forced to relinquish the painful hold when The Viper arrived on the scene to help the fallen WWE Champion, but the damage had already been done. Could Chris Jericho once again climb to the top of the mountain and claim his seventh World Championship?</div>

WWE: 205 Live (March 6, 2018)

PqpqzAo.png

WWE 205 Live: March 6, 2018 in Green Bay, Wisconsin

The WWE Cruiserweight Championship Tournament rolls on in the Quarter-Finals when former WWE Cruiserweight Champion Kalisto takes on the young upstart from the United Kingdom Mark Andrews - where the winner will earn the right to face Cedric Alexander in just a few short weeks in the Semi-Finals. Who will prevail in tonight's grueling contest and who will see their WrestleMania hopes and dreams crushed in the span of three seconds?

Lince Dorado def. Akira Tozawa

After suffering a tough loss at the hands Mark Andrews in the first round of the WWE Cruiserweight Championship Tournament, Lince Dorado, the golden lynx of lucha libre, is looking to claw through the competition in WWE's Cruiserweight division. His first piece of competition was former WWE Cruiserweight Champion Akira Tozawa, who was also looking to make an impression on the WWE Universe after falling short in the first round of General Manager Drake Maverick’s tournament.

Both men traded the momentum to kickstart the match, but Tozawa was able to get the upperhand in the early goings. His puroresu style clashed greatly with the lucha libre of Dorado, but the Japanese Jigsaw showed that he could hang with the masked luchador. Tozawa nearly took the Golden Lynx’s head off with the Apron Kara Tozawa, a callback to Akira’s famed Dragon Gate days.

The Ferocious Feline, however, was not going to let Akira Tozawa get in his way of earning the Big W as he countered a rolling German suplex with a Golden Rewind stunner out of nowhere that stunned the former WWE Cruiserweight Champion just long enough for the referee to count the winning three count.

While the end came more outta nowhere than a RKO from Randy Orton, the two 205 Live Superstars squared up in the center of the squared circle following the match and traded words. Nothing ill came from them as both men shaked hands and showed respect to each other, demonstrating the true values of showmanship and sportsmanship.

Lucha libre prevailed tonight to start the show, but will it also prevail later tonight when Kalisto takes on the UK’s Mark Andrews in Quarter-Final action?

Standing backstage next to his laptop is The PowerPoint Prince Drew Gulak who is not looking pleased. As is usual, the laptop displays his latest PowerPoint presentation - showing Gulak’s journey in the WWE. Drew has seen a lot of change since participating in the WWE Cruiserweight Classic, from going to a medieval grappler to the kingpin of the PowerPoint…

… but then Gulak snapped and threw the laptop across the room, the computer exploding into pieces after colliding with the wall. Gulak expressed that he is not the funnyman everybody thinks he is and he is tired of being relegated to a comedy bit-player.

He is not Drew Gulak, the master of the PowerPoint Presentation.

He is Drew Gulak, The Human Torture Device.

Kalisto vs. Andrews Graphic

Kalisto def. Mark Andrews

The opportunity to advance to the semi-finals of the WWE Cruiserweight Championship Tournament was on the line in this fast-paced break-neck-speed matchup between the lucha libre star Kalisto and the United Kingdom’s Mark Andrews.

The match began with both high-fliers struggling to earn the upperhand, with both of their styles cancelling each other out move-wise. Kalisto’s strategy paid dividends as he used his agility to keep Andrews on defense. Even as Andrews attempted to counter a hurricanrana on the outside, Kalisto used momentum to drive The Rock and Roller into the barricade.

Breaking the official’s 10-count, however, proved to be a mistake for the lucha dragon, as Andrews drove him into the ring apron and used a hurricanrana on him to throw him over the announce table.

As the WWE Universe cheered on the incredible action, Kalisto regained momentum and put his opponent back on defense. Unrelenting, the former WWE Cruiserweight Champion attempted his patented Salida del Sol, only to be dropped onto the ropes.

A struggle on the top rope soon led to a jaw-dropping reversal by Kalisto that nearly took Andrews out of the contest for good, as he landed awkwardly on his shoulder.

Resilient and determined to continue on his Road to WrestleMania, Andrews countered a series of strikes from Kalisto to connect with the Stundog Millionaire, only for Kalisto to somehow kickout just in the knick of time! Kalisto fought back in this contest and managed to drop Andrews to the mat with the Salida del Sol to get the coveted one-two-three to advance and face Cedric Alexander in the semi-finals of the WWE Cruiserweight Championship Tournament.

WWE: NXT (March 7th, 2018)

rfI2NwJ.png

WWE NXT: March 7, 2018 in Atlanta, Georgia

NXT is back at Center Stage for another exciting week of action after last week’s monumental episode when NXT General Manager William Regal announced a huge main event for NXT TakeOver: New Orleans when Johnny Gargano faces Tommaso Ciampa in a I Quit Match! But this week opened with the mysterious Aleister Black delivered a rare in-ring address in front of the NXT Universe, proclaiming that the NXT Championship was like a devil on his back.

Decked out in all black, The Ominous Man from Amsterdam made it clear that just under one year ago, he made his NXT debut at NXT TakeOver: Orlando and has since forced every single member of the NXT roster to fade to black. As such, Aleister Black is officially laying down the challenge to his first-ever NXT opponent Andrade “Cien” Almas for a NXT Championship match in New Orleans.

However, before Almas could respond to Black’s challenge, SAnitY’s Killian Dain interrupted. The Beast of Belfast made it clear that he will not stop until the NXT Title is around his waist, promising chaos for Black if he has problem with that. Before Dain could leave, Black informed the hulking Irishman that now he “must fade to Black.”

The Authors of Pain def. Danny Burch & Oney Lorcan

The bruising Brit-Am alliance of Oney Lorcan & Danny Burch got their fair share of licks in against former NXT Tag Team Champions The Authors of Pain, rocking Akam & Rezar with open-hand strikes and uppercuts, much to the delight, if not the disbelief, of the NXT Universe.

Such contusion-causing hits would bring any ordinary Superstar to his knees, but Paul Ellering’s monstrous charges are anything but ordinary, especially in their first match on NXT since NXT TakeOver: Philadelphia. Akam & Rezar withstood the onslaught and managed to suddenly turn the tables, crashing their opponents together like cymbals with the Super Collider and then finishing the job with the Last Chapter to claim victory.

Peyton Royce def. Bianca Belair

While Bianca Belair has been very impressive in the ring since making her NXT debut, both Billie Kay and Peyton Royce have promised to make 2018 truly Iconic. Royce hasn’t been seen on NXT TV since a loss to Kairi Sane in December, but Australian Bombshell grew as a competitor since we last saw her.

Belair fought valiantly against The Venus Fly Trap, but Peyton had her number on multiple occasions. The EST of NXT ultimately fell victim to the bridging fisherman’s suplex that scored the victory in favor of Royce. 2018 is on its path to become Iconic.

Eric Young def. Adam Cole

With a confident smirk on his face and Kyle O’Reilly & Bobby Fish by his side, Adam Cole set the stage for a clash of epic proportions between the leader of the Undisputed ERA and the leader of the uncontrollable SAnitY.

Cole was every bit as bold once the bell rang for his match against Eric Young, screaming for the high priest of chaos to fight him. Young obliged and flustered Cole with a furious opening salvo, but Cole slyly found enough of an opening to kick Young to the floor, leading to a tense standoff between Fish & O’Reilly and the rest of SAnitY at ringside.

Young regained the advantage and eventually prepared to take flight off the top rope, but Fish & O’Reilly stalled him with a momentary distraction. Their interference set off a major brawl with SAnitY’s Alexander Wolfe and Killian Dain outside the ring. As he stood atop the turnbuckle, Young seemed to change his plan of attack and, instead of splashing the supine Cole, dove onto the mass of humanity on the floor.

Upon reentering the ring, however, Young was nearly taken out of his boots by a devastating Shining Wizard but he moved out of the way just in the knick of time - having clearly studied his rival from their previous NXT encounters. As Cole staggered around the ring after planting his boot back on the mat, Young snuck up behind him and planted The Panama City Playboy with The Edge Of Sanity for the pinfall victory - adding another W in this stable feud.

The brawling between the two armies was not over once the bell rung, as Fish and O’Reilly scrambled around ringside to launch both Wolfe and Dain headfirst into the ring posts. With no backup, Eric Young knelt down in the middle of the ring, readying himself to be a human sacrifice to The Undisputed ERA. The high priest of chaos was saved, however, by The Mighty! Shane Thorne and Nick Miller were not ready to stand backstage and let the NXT Tag Team Champions attack. The Mighty clotheslined the champions out of the ring, leaving them alone with a downed Cole and Young.

In a bid to show that they want to be next in line for a shot at the NXT Tag Team Championships, Thorne and Miller grabbed Young and drove him to the mat with the Thunder Valley Bomb! To put an exclamation point to their statement, they did the same to Adam Cole - effectively symbolizing that they had chopped the head of both factions.

The Mighty stood tall tonight amongst the NXT tag team division. And if time ever comes where they get their rightful shot at NXT Tag Team Championship gold, they must continue to stand tall. After all.. The Mighty don’t kneel.

New Orleans, Louisiana plays host to The Show of Shows in just four weeks, but the Road to WrestleMania runs right through the Fastlane, and the superstars of SmackDown LIVE had one last opportunity to make their mark and try to earn their spot on the The Grandest Stage of Them All. <div style="font:24px Roboto;font-weight:bold;color:#204789;">Baron Corbin def. Tye Dillinger (Kickoff Match)</div></p><p>

Just moments before taking part in this Kickoff Match against his recent rival, Baron Corbin declared to the panel that he would embarrass Tye Dillinger and go on to participate in the André the Giant Memorial Battle Royal in New Orleans, and promised a second victory in the prestigious bout. The Lone Wolf's guarantee was backed up by his dominant performance against The Perfect 10, dismantling the superstar who had upstaged him and embarrassed him in recent weeks on SmackDown LIVE.</p><p> </p><p>

While Tye Dillinger put on another impressive performance against his larger adversary, he was unable to pick up a third upset over the former United States Champion, and instead suffered defeat at the hands of an aggressive Corbin. Giving Dillinger zero opportunities to once again leave him red-faced, The Lone Wolf finished off his opponent with an End of Days, securing the win and breaking his two-match losing streak to The Perfect 10.</p><p> </p><p>

This victory only supported Baron Corbin's announcement that he will once again enter the André the Giant Memorial Battle Royal, and with history on his side having won the contest just two years ago, it's entirely possible that the dark days of Baron Corbin could once again be upon us come April 8 in New Orleans.</p><p> </p><p>

<div style="font:24px Roboto;font-weight:bold;color:#204789;">The Usos def. SmackDown Tag Team Champions Chad Gable & Shelton Benjamin (No Disqualifications Match)</div></p><p>

At the Royal Rumble, The Usos reign as SmackDown Tag Team Champions was ended by the impressive team of Chad Gable and Shelton Benjamin. But the Samoan twins have never been ones to back down and give up, no matter what the obstacle, and their perseverance paid off at WWE Fastlane. The desire to finally appear on the main show at WrestleMania drove The Usos to success, and left Gable and Benjamin reeling just four weeks before The Show of Shows.</p><p> </p><p>

The reigning Champions wasted no time bringing the match's stipulation into play, using the very same tactic they employed at the Royal Rumble by brutalising the challengers with a pair of steel chairs, only this time, there were no other falls, and there were no disqualifications. The SmackDown Tag Team Champions seemed extremely pleased with their actions and stood over their battered opponents, but when Chad Gable hooked the leg of Jimmy Uso, he was shocked to only receive the count of two. Shelton Benjamin tried to cover Jey Uso, only to receive the same. The Usos were far from done.</p><p> </p><p>

Hoping to finish off their challengers once and for all, Chad Gable wrapped one of the steel chairs around the leg of Jimmy Uso and prepared to perform a shattering stomp, only to be taken down with a superkick from the other brother. Jey Uso was able to save his brethren and battle back against the reigning Champions. And following a back-and-forth altercation between the two teams, it was a miscommunication between Gable and Benjamin that saw Gable deliver a thunderous chair shot to the shoulder of his own partner that lead to The Usos being able to isolate him and deliver a pair of superkicks to the jaw. But to ensure certain victory, the challengers threw caution to the wind and with a steel chair clutched to his chest, Jey Uso delivered a steel-infused Uso Splash before Jimmy hooked the leg and the brothers reclaimed the SmackDown Tag Team Championships as their own!</p><p> </p><p>

Claiming their sixth Tag Team Championships, The Usos defeated their rivals to reclaim what was once theirs and have undoubtedly secured their spot on The Grandest Stage of Them All after years and years of dedication. An emotional embrace between Jimmy and Jey had the WWE Universe right there with them, but the love wasn't exactly shared by Chad Gable and Shelton Benjamin, understandably. But The Usos are back on top of the SmackDown LIVE tag team division, and the former Champions just got welcomed into The Uso Penitentiary.</p><p> </p><p>

<div style="font:24px Roboto;font-weight:bold;color:#204789;">United States Champion Bobby Roode def. Jinder Mahal</div></p><p>

Ever since the finals of the United States Championship Tournament, Jinder Mahal has felt as though he was robbed of his chance to hold the gold. But of course, The Glorious One disagreed. However, after weeks of attacks and trash talk, Bobby Roode decided enough was enough and The Modern Day Maharajah found himself as the number one contender. The bad blood between these two men is no secret, and it showed in their Fastlane clash, but it was ultimately "glorious" result for the reigning Champion and the people of the United States.</p><p> </p><p>

The first bit of controversy struck when Sunil Singh decided to lend his services to the former WWE Champion, grabbing the leg of The Glorious One as he ascended the turnbuckle. But after being kicked down by Roode, Mahal's right hand man was ejected from ringside by the official, leaving Jinder alone to face the United States Champion for himself. Safe to say, he wasn't best pleased. But nobody can take Jinder Mahal's focus and determination away from him and he continued his efforts to take what he believes belongs to him from his "glorious" opponent.</p><p> </p><p>

With the score now even and the contest now strictly one-on-one, it was all down to Bobby Roode and Jinder Mahal to take advantage as one of them had to leave with the star-spangled title. But Mahal was willing to do whatever it took to secure the victory, abusing the referee's line of sight to rake the eyes, pull the hair and deliver a devastating low blow to his adversary, all thanks to The Modern Day Maharajah's conniving ways. But Bobby Roode wasn't about to lose the United States Championship to the dastardly antics of Jinder Mahal and manage to battle back, escaping an attempt at The Khallas to deliver a desperation DDT that was nothing short of GLORIOUS! Hooking the leg, The Glorious One was able to successfully retain the United States Championship, much to the delight of the crowd in Ohio.</p><p> </p><p>

Who wouldn't be happy with a "glorious" United States Champion? Maybe Jinder Mahal, but other than that, we're fairly sure everyone will be singing along to the theme tune of Bobby Roode with this big victory. The former WWE Champion was irate with his loss, but the true focus was on the reigning Champion, and if we may use the phrase one final time - the victory party will surely be "glorious"!</p><p> </p><p>

<hr></p><p>

<div style="font:24px Roboto;font-weight:bold;color:#204789;">Becky Lynch & Naomi def. The Riott Squad</div></p><p>

The Riott Squad made an immediate impact when they arrived on the scene last year, and ever since then they have targeted the likes of Becky Lynch, Naomi and the SmackDown Women's Champion, Charlotte Flair. But before The Queen defended her title against the leader of the group, Ruby Riott, her companions were forced to take on Charlotte's allies in tag team action by order of Shane McMahon, in order to avoid any controversy in the title bout later in the night.</p><p> </p><p>

Clearly on strict orders from their leader to lay waste to their opponents, Liv Morgan and Sarah Logan went right on the attack, taking down the pair of former Women's Champions. Despite their relative inexperience, they managed to fight toe-to-toe with the two dominant superstars and hold their own, but when it came down to it, experience may have prevailed as Becky Lynch forced Sarah Logan into submission with the Dis-Arm-Her after Naomi took down Liv Morgan with a big Rear View.</p><p> </p><p>

Ruby Riott's cohorts put on a show against two experienced superstars, but it was not to be on this night as Becky and Naomi finally got their own measure of revenge on The Riott Squad. Now all that remained was Charlotte Flair's revenge on Ruby Riott later in the night, but all Becky Lynch and Naomi can do is watch and wait as Shane McMahon stated that there would be no interference. Will The Queen remain on her throne after the night is over?</p><p> </p><p>

<div style="font:24px Roboto;font-weight:bold;color:#204789;">Dolph Ziggler def. Kevin Owens, Randy Orton & Sami Zayn (Winner goes to WrestleMania to challenge for the WWE Championship)</div></p><p>

Yep. You read that right. And nope. We didn't see it coming! In order to find a number one contender for the WWE Championship at WrestleMania, the Commissioner, Shane McMahon created this Triple Threat bout to find that deserving superstar. Albeit, it could be argued that Shane'-O was somewhat rooting against Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn, but they received the opportunity nonetheless. However, when the night arrived and the participants were ready, The Prodigal Son arrived on the scene to drop one final bombshell on the potential contenders, and it was most definitely a controversial decision to say the least, but one that was official whether they liked it or not. Cue Dolph Ziggler.</p><p> </p><p>

Three months ago, Dolph Ziggler relinquished the United States Championship and walked out on the WWE on SmackDown LIVE. On this night, The Showoff returned to action in a shocking turn of events to compete for the right to go to WrestleMania. The decision wasn't to the tastes of Kevin Owens, Sami Zayn, or even Randy Orton, but Dolph Ziggler cared little for opinion, as we very well know, and entered the match regardless, the opportunity to become WWE Champion on The Grandest Stage of Them All up for grabs. As the bell rang and the bout became a Fatal-4 Way contest, the three original participants made a beeline for the impromptu addition and sent him crashing out of the ring in a heap. So much for a grand return.</p><p> </p><p>

With The Showoff momentarily removed from the equation, the original trio of contenders battled it out. Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn maintained their union to tackle The Viper, taking out their next threat on the Road to WrestleMania. But once they had disposed of Randy Orton, the two best friends were left alone and their friendship was put to the test. Does the WWE Championship opportunity mean more to them than their alliance? Surprisingly, even the tension of this number one contendership bout was unable to turn the friends into foes as they both left the ring to take an opponent each. On the outside, Randy Orton regrouped and was able to send The Underdog of the Underground over the announce table before sliding back into the ring. Meanwhile, Dolph Ziggler avoided a clothesline attempt by The Prizefighter to send him face-first into the steel post. Returning to the ring, the former World Champion squared off with another former World Champion as Ziggler and Orton came face-to-face.</p><p> </p><p>

Engaging in an all-out brawl, the two superstars traded right hands and went back-and-forth until Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn returned to the scene to break up the party. The best friends united to take down their adversaries, and the former Universal Champion drove Ziggler into the canvas with a Pop-up Powerbomb. But the cracks began to show when Owens hooked the leg, only for Zayn to break up the fall. The seal of friendship may have been broken as the duo began to argue like cat and dog over who should get the win, but their squabbling may have only allowed their opponents to take advantage as Ziggler dropkicked Owens into his best friend sending Zayn crashing to the outside. And as KO turned around to respond, he was drilled with a superkick by The Showoff and sent into an RKO from The Viper!</p><p> </p><p>

Orton looked to be in a position of victory, when suddenly he too was taken to the canvas, this time by Dolph Ziggler with a thunderous Zig Zag. Looking to capitalise on The Viper, Ziggler hooked the leg, but was pulled off by Sami Zayn who prevented yet another pinfall. As the former NXT Champion grabbed his adversary and delivered a Blue Thunder Bomb, he was pulled out of the cover by Kevin Owens, who went on to toss Zayn aside and go for the cover himself. Shockingly, The Showoff was able to kick out and the match continued, but another argument broke out between "Kami" and left them vulnerable to a double team from Ziggler and Orton. The unlikely pairing clotheslined The Prizefighter over the ropes and down to the floor, leaving Zayn alone to fend for himself. After a short struggle, Sami Zayn found himself dropped with an RKO, laying him out for the count. But before The Viper could slither into the cover, The Showoff struck with his own venom and delivered a stiff superkick to the jaw of the former World Champion, sending him through the middle rope. And to the horror of the WWE Universe, Ziggler quickly hooked the leg of the RKO victim and picked up a shocking victory to pave his own way to the main event of WrestleMania!</p><p> </p><p>

Just three months ago, Dolph Ziggler was considered to be retired from competition after abandoning the United States Championship. Now, here he stood as the number one contender to the WWE Championship at The Show of Shows. And as an unexpected addition to boot. The Showoff may very well have provided a contender for the Shock of the Year award, but most of all, he has punched his ticket to WrestleMania and will have the opportunity to score the biggest victory of his entire career and capture the WWE Championship in New Orleans.</p><p> </p><p>

<div style="font:24px Roboto;font-weight:bold;color:#204789;">SmackDown Women's Champion Charlotte Flair def. Ruby Riott</div></p><p>

Everyone knows that the throne of The Queen is the most sought after prize on SmackDown LIVE, and when The Riott Squad arrived on the scene in November of last year, it was clear that the leader of the group had one thing in mind - take that throne. Ruby Riott earned her spot as number one contender and looked to dethrone Charlotte Flair to descend the women's division into a riot-filled chaos. However, when you have wrestling in your blood like the SmackDown Women's Champion does, it's not that easy, and Charlotte proved that when she forced a determined and focused Ruby Riott into submission to retain her title.</p><p> </p><p>

But the young up-and-comer put up a valiant effort against The Queen, putting on a performance that was most definitely not to be sniffed at. Ruby Riott took Charlotte Flair to the very limit in the hope of entering her very first WrestleMania as SmackDown Women's Champion. But unfortunately her desire was not enough as experience and a Hall of Fame bloodline may have played a part in her downfall. Also, the added element of all outside involvement banned from ringside certainly gave this match the space it needed to breathe and have both superstars showcase their talent and skill. It just happens that tonight was not Ruby Riott's night, despite coming close on multiple occasions, even delivering her patented Riot Kick to the skull of Flair, scoring a painfully close two count that had the WWE Universe on the edge of their seats.</p><p> </p><p>

When Riott took to the skies to pull out all the stops in her journey to WrestleMania, this proved to be the exact reason why it's referred to as a high-risk manoeuvre. As she soared through the sky, The Queen was able to step aside and avoid her attempt at a cross body and capitalised on the situation by immediately locking in the Figure-Eight. After what seemed like an eternity of struggling for the leader of The Riott Squad, she had no choice but to submit and end her quest for the SmackDown Women's Championship on a loss. But the performance of this young superstar proved that regardless of whether her tactics are controversial or not - she can hang with the best.</p><p> </p><p>

The Queen was handed her crown jewel by the official and raised it high above her head as the WWE Universe applauded her performance. Finally, Charlotte Flair and her friends, Becky Lynch and Naomi had conquered The Riott Squad at WWE Fastlane, and now head into WrestleMania free of their onslaught. However, the question now moves to WrestleMania, and who will be next to try and dethrone The Queen on The Grandest Stage of Them All? With how the females of SmackDown LIVE performed on this night, all bets are off.</p><p> </p><p>

<div style="font:24px Roboto;font-weight:bold;color:#204789;">The Bludgeon Brothers def. Breezango & The Ascension</div></p><p>

Dominating. Destructive. Monstrous. Unstoppable. Just a few of the words we'd choose to describe The Bludgeon Brothers, and since reuniting as a tandem, the pair have steamrolled their way through the tag team division on SmackDown LIVE, and continued to do so at Fastlane. An impromptu bout was scheduled between the barbarian pair and their rivals of late, Breezango and The Ascension. But not 2-on-2, or even one team after the other, but 4-on-2! Anyone else would shudder at the thought of facing such a mismatched disadvantage - but not The Bludgeon Brothers.</p><p> </p><p>

Breezango and The Ascension have failed on multiple occasions to knock off Harper and Rowan in tag team action, and only one week ago did they manage to even take the big men off their feet. And that was solely due to the fact that all four men were united as one! This Handicap Match saw that same unit try to topple the behemoths once and for all, seeing this as their only opportunity to do so. But even at a 4-on-2 disadvantage, The Bludgeon Brothers dismantled their adversaries and continued to look absolutely unstoppable. First disposing of The Ascension with a pair of vicious big boots, and then sending Fandango soaring through the sky into the arms of Konnor and Viktor on the outside, Tyler Breeze was left alone with the ruthless duo.</p><p> </p><p>

Unfortunately for Prince Pretty, there was nobody to save him, and he fell victim to a sickening full nelson/powerbomb combination known as The Bludgeoning. But the destruction did not stop there, as The Gorgeous One was lifted back to his feet and into the air by both men before being driven spine-first into the canvas with a double crucifix powerbomb we now know as The Reckoning - and we know exactly why. Harper placed his hand over the chest of Breeze and secured an unbelievable victory for him and Rowan at WWE Fastlane just four weeks before WrestleMania. Can anyone truly stop these monstrous individuals? Or will the reign of terror over SmackDown LIVE continue into The Show of Shows?</p><p> </p><p>

<div style="font:24px Roboto;font-weight:bold;color:#204789;">WWE Champion AJ Styles def. Chris Jericho</div></p><p>

When Chris Jericho made his return to SmackDown LIVE, nobody expected to see him deliver a Codebreaker to the WWE Champion and leave him laying. Nobody expected Chris Jericho to be quite so sadistic and twisted in his attempt to capture another World Championship either. But when Y2J resurfaced to seemingly assist his former rival, the tables soon turned and Jericho's intentions were made crystal clear. Fresh off a highly-anticipated bout in Japan, the former 6-time World Champion was looking to add a seventh to his resume by knocking off The Phenomenal One on his Road to WrestleMania. However, AJ Styles switched into another gear and let Jericho know that he was picking a fight with the wrong man. Codebreakers, Forearms and a smashed JeriTron later, and here we were for a clash of the ages between two former friends, former rivals, world-class athletes, all in the name of the WWE Championship and the right to main event WrestleMania!</p><p> </p><p>

Y2J's unexpected return may have seen success for him for the most part, but AJ Styles' desire to reach The Show of Shows with the gold intact may have pushed him that much further and allowed him to conquer his nemesis, unlike two years ago at WrestleMania 32 when the self-proclaimed Best in the World was able to knock off his Phenomenal opponent. The bad blood boiled over almost instantly as AJ Styles unleashed a fit of rage on his legendary opponent, looking for revenge for all the sneak attacks and trash talk that had been sent his way by Y2J. The brawl almost instantly fell to the outside where the Champion and his challenger ended up crashing through the timekeepers area in a flurry of back-and-forth shots. Chris Jericho was able to somehow escape Styles' assault and rush his way around the ring out of harms way, but the WWE Champion was not about to let him get away that easily, sliding back into the ring and launching himself through the ropes with a suicide dive, sending Jericho crashing into the barricade.</p><p> </p><p>

With momentum on his side, The Phenomenal One returned the bout to the ring and cornered his adversary, climbing the ropes and delivering a series of ten right hands to the skull, accompanied by the WWE Universe's enthusiastic count. Although taking his eye off the ball to rally the fans proved to be costly as Jericho pulled Styles' feet from beneath him, hanging him up in no man's land on the middle rope. The veteran used the opportunity to drop AJ onto his head with a devastating sleeper slam. Hooking the leg, Jericho hoped to secure the WWE Championship, only for Styles to kick out at two. "I'm the King of the World!" bellowed Jericho, to a rather negative response from the Columbus crowd, and planted his opponent into the mat with a bulldog, before delivering his patented Lionsault for another attempt at victory. But still, AJ Styles would not stay down.</p><p> </p><p>

Infuriated by his rival's will to survive, the former World Champion employed his trusty Walls of Jericho, hoping for a submission win, and for many moments, AJ Styles came incredibly close to throwing in the towel. But with the WWE Universe rallying behind him, Styles battled out of the painful hold and instead rolled Jericho up into a small package, of which Y2J narrowly escaped. Realising he needed to act fast, the challenger quickly dragged AJ to his feet and attempted a Codebreaker, but Styles evaded the attack and threw Jericho back into the corner, delivering a big enziguiri to take down his opponent. Seeing the opportunity arise, the WWE Champion jumped to the ring apron and prepared for a Phenomenal Forearm, but as he took to the air, he came back down with a crash into a Codebreaker! Time appeared to stand still as the WWE Universe watched with their hearts in their mouths, breathing a huge sigh of relief when somehow, Styles kicked out of the unbelievable move.</p><p> </p><p>

In complete disbelief, Chris Jericho got back to his feet and threw the official aside before applying yet another Walls of Jericho, but this time wasn't able to lock it in, instead flying shoulder-first into the ring post courtesy of AJ Styles. As Y2J came stumbling back into the center of the ring, AJ Styles wasted no time capitalising and aimed to deliver the Styles Clash to finally bring the bout to a close, but in a moment of madness, The Phenomenal One instead decided to lower Jericho to the ground and lock in his own Walls of Jericho from the Styles Clash position! With Y2J locked in his own hold, the tension was building and the WWE Championship looked to be heading home with AJ Styles, but Jericho escaped his signature hold and quickly scrambled to his feet, only to be kicked in the gut and this time most definitely planted with the Styles Clash, allowing the reigning Champion to retain his title.</p><p> </p><p>

A hard-fought battle between two bitter rivals, culminating with AJ Styles retaining the WWE Championship and heading into The Show of Shows with the prize possession of SmackDown LIVE. The WWE Universe in tow, The Phenomenal One celebrated his victory and was sure to acknowledge the WrestleMania sign hanging above, and as of earlier in the night, we learned exactly who will challenge him for the gold in just four weeks, and speaking of that man, he chose the opportune moment to strike!</p><p> </p><p>

Dolph Ziggler emerged from out of nowhere and dropped the WWE Champion with a superkick to the jaw, laying out the WWE Champion just moments after his monumental victory. Safe to say, the WWE Universe were displeased with the events that unfolded, but The Showoff cared little for their opinion, picking up the WWE Championship and raising it above his own head, giving an intense glare to the WrestleMania sign. The battle lines have been drawn and AJ Styles now has The Showoff to contend with in New Orleans.</div></p><p>

<div style="font:18px Roboto;font-weight:bold;">Ronda Rousey and Kurt Angle lay out the challenge to Triple H and Stephanie McMahon</div>

The debut of Ronda Rousey has been controversial to say the least, and last week saw it all come to a head when Triple H and Stephanie McMahon gave the General Manager of Raw, Kurt Angle a clear message that they wanted nothing to do with the former UFC competitor on the red brand. Angle's disobedience was punished courtesy of a shock Pedigree from The Game, all because he refused to allow Stephanie McMahon to stop Ronda Rousey becoming a WWE superstar. The power couple arrived on Raw to address last week's chaotic close and make sure their message was received loud and clear.

The Game reinforced his point that Kurt Angle deserved what happened last week, and reminded him that disobeying a direct order from his wife will always result in punishment. The Billionaire Baroness added her two cents, explaining that she is the Commissioner of Raw and if she doesn't want someone here, then they won't be here. But of course, everyone knew that the Olympic Gold Medalist wasn't going to take last week's attack lying down and the Hall of Famer himself came out to confront his superiors, but not as the Raw General Manager - as former 6-time World Champion and Wrestling Machine, Kurt Angle!

Before Angle could even come within feet of the Commissioner and COO, Stephanie warned him not to do something else that he may regret. The General Manager of Raw waste dno time making it clear that he would not be pushed around and treat like a fool, no matter what role he is in with the company, and reminds Triple H that years ago, they used to settle their differences in the ring, face-to-face. This excited the WWE Universe as Kurt Angle went on to request that they settled it in much the same manner as they used to, and challenge The Game to a match at The Show of Shows! Triple H squared up to the Hall of Famer and quietly warned him off-mic that he was making a very dangerous mistake. Quickly hoping to restore order, Stephanie McMahon rushed the moment along and pulled her husband to take their leave but as they reached the ropes, Angle revealed another bombshell.

It seems that Kurt Angle was not requesting a one-on-one bout with The Game, and revealed that his challenge was for a Tag Team Match at WrestleMania - with Stephanie McMahon as Triple H's partner! The Billionaire Baroness looked horrified as Angle's expression confirmed that he was very much serious. Before Stephanie could even respond, the Olympic Gold Medalist explained that he didn't give a damn if the Commissioner wasn't an active competitor, and went on to introduce his own tag team partner for the proposed contest - Ronda Rousey! The Rowdy One emerged and hopped onto the ring apron to face off with Triple H and Stephanie McMahon. And while they were focused on the newest Raw superstar, Kurt Angle took his opportunity and grabbed The Game, delivering a thunderous Angle Slam!

The Commissioner of Raw screamed in horror as she watched her husband driven into the mat, but the nightmare wasn't over for the power couple as Rousey stepped through the ropes and grabbed Stephanie by her hair. The WWE Universe watched on in delight as Ronda Rousey lifted Stephanie up and planted her with a uranage! The tables have finally turned as Triple H dragged his wife out of the ring and the pair retreated up the aisle, leaving Kurt Angle and Ronda Rousey to stand with their hands raised inside the ring. The stage is set, as Triple H and Stephanie McMahon will take on Kurt Angle and Ronda Rousey on The Grandest Stage of Them All!

<div style="font:24px Roboto;font-weight:bold;color:#cb1516;">Raw Women's Champion Sasha Banks def. Bayley via disqualification</div>

The rocky relationship between Sasha Banks and Bayley has become more apparent as the weeks progress, and this one-on-one bout confirmed that things were not quite right between the two former best friends. The Raw Women's Champion collided with her former ally in a non-title contest ahead of The Boss' WrestleMania clash with Asuka in just four weeks. But before the pair could complete their match against one another, the former Champion, Alexa Bliss arrived on the scene and descended the bout into chaos by attacking Sasha Banks, forcing the official to call for a disqualification.

Little Miss Bliss dropped The Boss with a DDT and then grabbed a microphone to demand her right to a rematch for the Raw Women's Championship. Rightfully so, she does have a rematch clause, but ruining Bayley's chance to get a victory over the reigning Champion might not have been the way to go about it as The Huggable One spun Bliss around and planted her with a Bayley-to-Belly. Bayley caught a glimpse of the Raw Women's Championship and picked it up from the canvas, giving it an intense stare. But her moment with the gold was ruined by the arrival of the 2018 Women's Royal Rumble winner, Asuka.

The Empress of Tomorrow confronted Bayley who held the Raw Women's Championship in her hand and the WWE Universe enjoyed the moment. Sasha Banks looked on from the corner, recovering on the canvas, and Alexa Bliss watched from the outside, holding her back. These four women seem intent on holding the Raw Women's Championship, all for completely different reasons. With WrestleMania just four weeks away, something need to be done about this chaotic situation.

<div style="font:24px Roboto;font-weight:bold;color:#cb1516;">Elias def. Rhyno</div>

Elias became the first superstar to declare entry into this year's André the Giant Memorial Battle Royal last week, and this week gave us a rendition of his "WrestleMania Song" which was nothing more than a musical guarantee of victory in New Orleans. Time will tell if Elias can walk out with the trophy, but this week he found himself taking on The Man Beast one-on-one. The Sinister Songsmith was able to defeat Rhyno after avoiding a Gore, sending the former Tag Team Champion into the ring post and then following it up with the Drift Away.

One step closer to The Show of Shows, Elias celebrated his victory as Heath Slater tended to his defeated partner on the outside. Looking more and more impressive each week, the WWE Universe may very well have no choice come WrestleMania but to Walk With Elias.

<div style="font:24px Roboto;font-weight:bold;color:#cb1516;">Samoa Joe def. Kassius Ohno</div>

John Cena may have gotten his own back on Samoa Joe last week with an Attitude Adjustment, but it may have only aggravated The Destroyer and made him even more dangerous. The former NXT Champion went one-on-one with Kassius Ohno on Raw in a hard-hitting battle, and The Knockout Artist looked to pick up his biggest win yet over his fellow NXT alumnus, but the aggressive Samoa Joe didn't let up and ended up ducking underneath a Knockout Elbow from Ohno and locking in the Coquina Clutch, forcing KO into submission. The Destroyer held onto the hold for a few moments before finally releasing his adversary, but he wasn't finished just yet.

Samoa Joe took to the microphone to lay out the official challenge to John Cena, for a one-on-one clash at WrestleMania. The Destroyer made it clear that he wanted to put an end to John Cena's charade at The Show of Shows, and promised to break the 16-time World Champion in half, rendering him unable to ever return. Immediately following the surprising challenge, Joe returned his attention to Kassius Ohno and locked in a second Coquina Clutch, this time refusing to release the hold despite the officials orders. Multiple officials arrived on the scene to pry Joe's grip from around Ohno's neck, but the message had already been sent to the Cenation Leader. Will John Cena accept Samoa Joe's WrestleMania challenge?

<div style="font:18px Roboto;font-weight:bold;">The Undertaker sends Braun Strowman an eerie message</div>

The black cloud hovering over the head of Braun Strowman grew darker last week, and The Monster Among Men came closer to finding out just who is behind the supernatural occurrences haunting him. The behemoth made his way to the ring to get to the bottom of this situation, and revealed that he knew exactly who was behind it all, as did the WWE Universe. Bellowing out a name that created a deafening roar around the arena - "Undertaker!" - Strowman directed his message towards The Deadman who had not been seen since Raw's 25th anniversary.

Braun Strowman continued to call out The Phenom, but to no avail. Silence fell over the arena and Strowman was left red-faced with rage as nobody responded to his calls. But as the big man declared that he was not going to stop until he got his hands on the man responsible, another supernatural event struck as the lights cut out, plunging Detroit into darkness. When the lights returned, Braun Strowman was shrouded in a thick fog, the lights a dim purple. The Monster Among Men looked around for The Undertaker, but nobody was there, and all that joined Strowman inside the ring was deep within the mist, a lone spotlight shining down on it.

Reaching down into the mysterious fog, Strowman grabbed something from the canvas, and as he stood upright he realised that it was the mask of the man he annihilated over a month ago - Kane. Suddenly, flames exploded from the ring posts and Strowman was startled into dropping the mask and quickly stepping over the ropes, retreating up the aisle. Waving his way through the mist, Braun Strowman made his way to the stage and looked back down to the ring, screaming that he was not afraid of The Deadman. The haunting continues, and we now have an idea as to why.

<div style="font:24px Roboto;font-weight:bold;color:#cb1516;">The Revival def. Local Competitors</div>

WrestleMania draws closer each day, and The Revival are dead set on making a statement ahead of The Show of Shows. Dash Wilder and Scott Dawson continued to look as dominant as ever, but with just four weeks until WrestleMania, will the former NXT Tag Team Champions find their spot on The Grandest Stage of Them All?

<div style="font:18px Roboto;font-weight:bold;">Bray Wyatt welcomes "Woken" Matt Hardy to The Wyatt Compound and engages in The Final Battle</div>

Things took an even stranger turn last week when Bray Wyatt extended an invitation to Matt Hardy to join him at the newly rebuilt Wyatt Compound. The sinister compound that was last seen burnt to the ground by Randy Orton has apparently been restructured and is stronger than ever, but what will it have in store for "Woken" Matt Hardy? The Woken One arrived at The Wyatt Compound with an apprehensive expression, slowly making his way across the battlefield before reaching the gates into Wyatt's domain. Out of nowhere, The Eater of Worlds attacked from behind and sent Hardy crashing into the gate, dropping him to the floor. The battle was taken through the gate and into the very depths of The Wyatt Compound where Bray Wyatt employed his master plan.

Bray Wyatt took his adversary into the building in the center of the compound, which Wyatt explained was "Abigail's Tomb". As if things couldn't get any creepier, The Face of Fear dragged Hardy's body over to what can only be described as a open casket, filled with dirt. Wyatt attempted to place The Woken One into the casket, but Hardy was able to battle back and throw his rival across the room, sending him crashing into a glass cabinet. Hardy spread his arms wide and laughed as all of a sudden, two drones emerged from nowhere and started circling The Eater of Worlds!

Drones, tombs, Sister Abigail - what the hell is going on? Matt Hardy ran at Wyatt and the pair crashed through the wall of the building, both men tumbling down a hill into a swamp below. "It is time for your - ultimate deletion!" declared Matt Hardy as he scaled the hill and climbed a ladder to the roof of Abigail's Tomb. Bray Wyatt followed and the two engaged in an epic battle atop the building, trading blows left and right with both men teetering near the edge.

The Eater of Worlds gained the advantage and looked to hit a Sister Abigail atop the structure, but the drones returned and blinded Wyatt with bright lights, obscuring his view. The former WWE Champion waved his hands and clutched his eyes, but Matt Hardy was able to take advantage and throw Wyatt from the roof, sending him crashing through the roof of a nearby hut, plunging him into absolute darkness! Matt Hardy stood atop the structure known as Abigail's Tomb and laughed manically with his arms outstretched. "Bray Wyatt has been rendered OBSOLETE!" he bellowed, "Deletion... complete!".

The Woken One descended the wall and walked off into the distance, continuing to laugh in victory. But as Matt Hardy left through the gate, smoke began to pour from the roof of the hut and a hand reached up through the hole, clutching the side. Bray Wyatt is not finished yet. And The Eater of Worlds is very much still alive.

<div style="font:18px Roboto;font-weight:bold;">Seth Rollins crashes The Bar's WrestleMania address with a surprising reveal</div>

It's become somewhat of a weekly occurrence for Sheamus and Cesaro to address their stance as the "greatest tag team in history". The point is debatable, but when nobody rises to the occasion to challenge the Raw Tag team Champions, it's difficult to argue. Once again, The Bar addressed their status and their Road to WrestleMania, declaring themselves as the best that Raw, SmackDown LIVE, NXT and anywhere has to offer, but the WWE Universe seem to disagree. With nobody believed to be worthy enough to challenge them in New Orleans, where do they go from here? Sheamus declares that WrestleMania will be their crowning moment, and they plan to have Mr. McMahon himself crown them as the greatest tag team in history on The Grandest Stage of Them All. But their moment of glory was about to be sent crashing back down to reality by an old rival.

Seth Rollins arrived to save the WWE Universe from any more of The Bar's gloating, despite having lost to the pair on multiple occasions with two different tag team partners. Of course, Cesaro brought this up and questioned why Seth Rollins would come out and interrupt them when he is literally the exact opposite of them - a tag team failure. Ridiculing the former World Champion for his recent efforts in the tag team division, The Bar remind everyone that Seth Rollins lost the Raw Tag Team Championships to them twice - once with Dean Ambrose who's arms gave up on him, and once with Jason Jordan who's better off left unmentioned. But The Kingslayer was adamant that he was out there to confront The Bar and take back the Raw Tag Team Championships once and for all.

Sheamus and Cesaro were full of jokes, asking with Seth Rollins even had any friends that he hasn't Curb Stomped into the ground. But it seems that he does, and shocking the WWE Universe and especially The Bar, Seth Rollins introduced his ally to the world - Roman Reigns. The smiles immediately left Sheamus and Cesaro's faces as The Big Dog walked out onto the stage to stand side-by-side with his former Shield brother. And the pair made a beeline for the ring, heading into an impromptu match which would see Reigns get his hands on Sheamus one-on-one.

<hr>

<div style="font:24px Roboto;font-weight:bold;color:#cb1516;">Roman Reigns def. Raw Tag Team Champion Sheamus</div>

Still reeling from the shock of The Big Dog's arrival, Sheamus was unprepared for this bout to say the least. But it didn't stop him trying to put up a fight, only to be taken out by Roman Reigns in classic fashion, Cesaro watching on without any idea of what to do. The Celtic Warrior tried his best to put a halt to the momentum of Rollins and Reigns, but after missing a Brogue Kick, he was met with a thunderous Spear, cutting the Raw Tag Team Champion in half and allowing Roman Reigns to secure the victory.

Safe to say, The Bar's mouth may have stopped running now that Roman Reigns and Seth Rollins are on the scene, but this didn't stop Cesaro trying to get some revenge on behalf of his tag team partner. The Swiss Superman rushed the ring and blindsided The Big Dog with a clubbing blow, but he too suffered the wrath of the former Shield allies as Rollins came flying through the air with a springboard knee, sending Cesaro crashing out of the ring. The Raw Tag Team Champions quickly retreated as Rollins and Reigns stood united. It seems as though The Bar now have some competition, and their "crowning moment" may have to wait just a little bit longer.

<div style="font:24px Roboto;font-weight:bold;color:#cb1516;">Nia Jax def. Dana Brooke</div>

The Irresistible Force is a fitting name for Nia Jax, because she is completely unstoppable. Her loss inside the first-ever Women's Elimination Chamber only seems to have fuelled the fire and made her even more dangerous than before. Dana Brooke of Titus Worldwide tried her hand at taking down the dominant superstar, only to suffer the same fate as those before her, being driven into the canvas with a crushing Samoan Drop.

Moments after the bell, Titus O'Neil and Apollo tended to their fallen ally, but shockingly, Nia Jax only saw more opportunity. The Irresistible Force grabbed Apollo by the arm and got in his face. To the amazement of the WWE Universe, Jax lifted Apollo onto her shoulders and crushed him with a Samoan Drop! So much for their Mixed Match Challenge union? Titus O'Neil looked up in shock before confront Jax himself, but he too was driven into the canvas with a Samoan Drop by the dominant female. This unbelievable display from Nia Jax had the WWE Universe in disbelief. She left the ring with a scowl and carnage in her wake. Decimating all three members of Titus Worldwide, you have to wonder if anyone at all can stop this monstrous superstar.

<div style="font:24px Roboto;font-weight:bold;color:#cb1516;">The Bálor Club def. The Miztourage</div>

Ever since the controversial finish of the Men's Elimination Chamber Match, Finn Bálor has been after retribution over The Miz and his Miztourage. The last couple of weeks have seen him have run-ins with the Intercontinental Champion, and this week the pair joined their allies for Six-Man Tag Team action in the main event. Back-and-forth the two alliances went, with neither seeming to score the advantage in any way. But when the devious tactis of The Miztourage started to come into play, things seemed to fall in their favour. Blind tags, referee distractions, it had it all, and they used it to their advantage. But when The Bálor Club were able to fight back and overcome the odds, The Miz saw no option but to escape. The A-Lister grabbed his Intercontinental Championship and made tracks, retreating up the ramp to the stage, leaving Curtis Axel and Bo Dallas to fend for themselves. They didn't fare too well as Bo Dallas was driven down with a Magic Killer from The Good Brothers, and Curtis Axel met the boots of Finn Bálor with a Coupe de Grace, claiming the victory for him, Gallows and Anderson.

But this loss came at no cost to The Miz who seemed relatively pleased with his successful escape, managing to get away unscathed. However, his smug expression was about to be wiped right off his face as Raw General Manager, Kurt Angle made a surprise appearance to cut The Miz's departure off at the stage. The Hall of Famer explained that he's in no mood for any of The Miz's shenanigans tonight and explained that he's sick and tired of The Miz finding ways to worm his way out of confrontations. So with that, Angle declared that at WrestleMania, The Miz would defend his Intercontinental Championship against - Finn Bálor!

The reactions of The Miz and Finn Bálor were quite the opposite, but the WWE Universe shared Bálor's excitement as The Miz stomped his feet like a petulant child. Kurt Angle has spoken, and The Miz is now locked into a title defence at The Show of Shows, and one that he cannot run away from if he wants to truly be the focus of WrestleMania as he so claims. The grin of Finn Bálor told the whole story, and now he finally has his opportunity at retribution, one-on-one in New Orleans.

<div style="font:18px Roboto;font-weight:bold;">Universal Champion Brock Lesnar returns to confront Shinsuke Nakamura</div>

Nobody could have expected Shinsuke Nakamura's decision to jump to Raw, least of all Brock Lesnar. But it happened, and WrestleMania will play host to this first-ever contest between two hard-hitting individuals, all in the name of the WWE Universal Championship. This week, The Beast and his advocate made their return to the red brand to address Shinsuke Nakamura and their upcoming clash at The Show of Shows. And Paul Heyman had plenty to say about WWE's Resident Rockstar, whether the WWE Universe liked it or not.

The advocate to Brock Lesnar introduced himself to the Detroit crowd as always, before beginning a verbal rundown of the number one contender. Regarding Nakamura's Royal Rumble victory, Heyman explained that Shinsuke should have been wiser and decided to stick to SmackDown LIVE, challenging for the WWE Championship at WrestleMania. Instead, The Artist chose to throw his career away and retire at WrestleMania 34, when Brock Lesnar forces him into an early retirement. It wasn't long before Paul Heyman brought up Nakamura's nickname of The King of Strong Style, claiming that Brock Lesnar <i>invented</i> "strong style", and Nakamura uses it as nothing more than a gimmick. But this comment brought the number one contender out to the ring, and the second confrontation between these two men took place in Detroit.

A moment of tension played out before our eyes as Shinsuke Nakamura and Brock Lesnar stood face-to-face just feet apart. And with what was perhaps the most gutsy move The Rockstar has ever made, he leaned back and proceeded to beckon Lesnar in by screaming "Come on!" as only Shinsuke Nakamura does. This tripped the switch in The Beast and Paul Heyman warned that Nakamura had asked for this, releasing the Universal Champion to unleash his rage. Lesnar drove his shoulder into the sternum of Nakamura and speared him into the corner, repeatedly driving his shoulder into Nakamura one after another. After a short moment, Lesnar pulled his adversary out of the corner and lifted him into his shoulders, presumably for an F-5, but as The Beast attempted his patented move, Nakamura landed on his feet and bounced off the ropes, responding with the biggest Kinshasa of his entire career!

The atmosphere was deafening as Brock Lesnar tumbled through the ropes and out of the ring, Shinsuke Nakamura standing tall inside the ring, beckoning Lesnar back in for more. Despite storming back towards the apron, Paul Heyman stopped his client from getting back into the ring, advising him to save it for WrestleMania. Red with rage, The Beast reluctantly retreated with his advocate and gave an intense warning to Nakamura, in the form of some fairly bad language. But The King of Strong Style remained smug and pointed to the WrestleMania sign as he watched Lesnar leave up the ramp. Shinsuke Nakamura has made the first move, and he has definitely just awoken The Beast.</div>

<div style="font:18px Roboto;font-weight:bold;">Dolph Ziggler addresses his return and his WrestleMania opponent, AJ Styles</div></p><p>

Who is the number one contender for the WWE Championship? Randy Orton? Kevin Owens? Sami Zayn? Well, the answer is none of the above. Shocking everyone in Columbus, Dolph Ziggler made his return to SmackDown LIVE as a surprise entrant into the number one contendership bout, making it a Fatal 4-Way Match which The Showoff somehow won, punching his ticket to WrestleMania just three months after walking out on the WWE and vacating the United States Championship.</p><p> </p><p>

With a grin from ear-to-ear, Dolph Ziggler emerged to address his return and his upcoming bout at The Show of Shows with AJ Styles. He did keep everyone guessing, that's for sure. And he did pull the rug from under the feet of the WWE Universe with his unexpected appearance. And The Showoff expressed his belief that he is the most deserving superstar for the title shot at WrestleMania, and he will finally be at the top where he belongs. However, a certain Phenomenal superstar had something to say about Ziggler's uninvited arrival, emerging to confront his WrestleMania opponent.</p><p> </p><p>

The WWE Champion congratulated the number one contender on his surprising win, and even went as far as to say he looked forward to the match in New Orleans. But the atmosphere became much more serious as AJ Styles reminded Ziggler that he walked out on the WWE Universe three months ago and turned his back on anyone who ever respected and supported him, and for that reason, he has no choice but to make sure he doesn't get his hands on the WWE Championship. The Showoff shrugged off the accusations and explained that he did what he had to do to get people to realise that he's the man, and that he should be WWE Champion. And of course, Ziggler would get the opportunity to back up his claims as he went one-on-one with Randy Orton in the main event.</p><p> </p><p>

<div style="font:24px Roboto;font-weight:bold;color:#103ab6;">SmackDown Tag Team Champions The Usos def. Chad Gable & Shelton Benjamin</div></p><p>

An outstanding tag team bout tore the house down at WWE Fastlane as The Usos reclaimed their SmackDown Tag Team Championships in a No Disqualification all-out brawl with Chad Gable and Shelton Benjamin. But as the contract states, the former Champions have their right to a rematch, and they wasted no time cashing it in, hoping to end The Usos' Road to WrestleMania before it could even begin. However, history did indeed repeat itself and even within the parameters of rules, Jimmy and Jey were able to successfully defeat their adversaries to retain their SmackDown Tag Team Championships and remain on their journey to their first main card appearance at WrestleMania.</p><p> </p><p>

Chad Gable and Shelton Benjamin were understandably frustrated with a second consecutive loss to their tag team rivals, but The Usos celebrated on with the WWE Universe, having officially overcome the challenge and pointed to the WrestleMania sign in a symbolic moment. New Orleans awaits, boys!</p><p> </p><p>

One year ago, Jinder Mahal came close to winning the André the Giant Memorial Battle Royal in Orlando, but thanks to an intervention from NFL star, Rob Gronkowski, The Modern Day Maharajah fell short. This year will be different, or so he claims. The former WWE Champion once again confirmed his entry into the annual bout, but guaranteed victory this time around after having what he called "the year of the Maharajah". With Mahal now added into the mix, the selection of talent continues to grow and the prestigious trophy hangs in the balance.</p><p> </p><p>

<div style="font:24px Roboto;font-weight:bold;color:#103ab6;">Baron Corbin def. Zack Ryder</div></p><p>

Overcoming his recent embarrassment at the hands of Tye Dillinger in the Kickoff Show at WWE Fastlane, The Lone Wolf moved forward in hopes of putting the unfortunate losses behind him. His victory over The Perfect 10 this past Sunday was just the beginning, and Baron Corbin continued to redeem himself with a victory over Zack Ryder. As the two former United States Champions collided, it was an End of Days that send Ryder packing and landed Corbin the victory.</p><p> </p><p>

The Lone Wolf pointed to the WrestleMania sign above and bellowed to the WWE Universe that he would win his second André the Giant Memorial Battle Royal at The Show of Shows. History may be in his favour, already having a win in the yearly spectacular, but will he be able to pull off the unthinkable and win for a second time?</p><p> </p><p>

<div style="font:18px Roboto;font-weight:bold;">Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn discuss Daniel Bryan's return; Shane McMahon gives them a match up next</div></p><p>

The atmosphere in the locker room of Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn was not great. Fresh off their loss at Fastlane, the best friends spoke about their future on SmackDown LIVE and where they go from here. Ever the optimist, Sami Zayn refused to let Owens speak that way and told him that things were going to get better now that Daniel Bryan has returned as the General Manager of SmackDown LIVE. Putting all their hopes on Bryan's return, "Kami" keep their spirits up, but their moment was crashed by the man they claim has a vendetta against them, Shane McMahon.</p><p> </p><p>

The Commissioner of SmackDown LIVE delivered a message to the pair, informing them that they had a match scheduled up next against The New Day. With no prior notice or preparation, Kevin Owens once again cried "conspiracy" and said that with Daniel Bryan back, McMahon wouldn't be able to abuse his power anymore. And before taking their leave, Sami Zayn gave a sinister warning that Shane McMahon would get exactly what's coming to him when he least expects it. Threatening the boss might not be such a good idea, but you have to wonder - what did it mean?</p><p> </p><p>

<hr></p><p>

<div style="font:24px Roboto;font-weight:bold;color:#103ab6;">Kevin Owens & Sami Zayn def. The New Day</div></p><p>

Having zero time to prepare, the odds were not in the favour of Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn, and when the odds are stacked against them, they turn to some questionable tactis. Albeit, they don't need too much persuasion to have to bend the rules anyway. The New Day brought the fight to the best friends in the hopes of scoring a huge victory ahead of WrestleMania, but when Sami Zayn decided to make this a musical performance, he used the trombone of Xavier Woods to crack the skull of Kofi Kingston while KO distracted the official. Capitalising on the devious move, Owens rolled Kingston up and grabbed a handful of tights to score a shock three count before Big E could break up the pinfall.</p><p> </p><p>

Having stolen a victory from the longest reigning Tag Team Champions in history, Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn quickly fled ringside with smug grins on their faces. Despite the odds being stacked against them by Shane McMahon, they once again escaped on top with their "whatever it takes" attitude, even if it meant breaking the rules. A disappointed New Day looked on as their Road to WrestleMania looked bleak to say the least.</p><p> </p><p>

<div style="font:18px Roboto;font-weight:bold;">The Bludgeon Brothers warn of the reckoning coming to SmackDown LIVE</div></p><p>

In what was an unbelievable display of pure dominance, The Bludgeon Brothers annihilated not two, not three, but <i>four</i> men at WWE Fastlane, proving to be completely unstoppable. A clear warning was given to the rest of the locker room as Harper and Rowan appeared on the titantron with a chilling address. The reckoning is coming, and The Bludgeon Brothers will provide it. They are coming, and nobody is safe.</p><p> </p><p>

<hr></p><p>

<div style="font:24px Roboto;font-weight:bold;color:#103ab6;">Becky Lynch & Naomi def. Natalya & Lana</div></p><p>

A successful tag team victory over The Riott Squad left Becky Lynch and Naomi in the spotlight ahead of WrestleMania, and another victory over Natalya and Lana certainly helped support their desire to get to New Orleans. Dropping Lana with the Rear View, Naomi pinned The Ravishing Russian and secured the win for herself and The Irish Lasskicker.</p><p> </p><p>

Following the ring bell, the pair shared a bit of friendly back-and-forth as they both looked towards the WrestleMania sign above. This brought out the SmackDown Women's Champion, Charlotte Flair who raised her title above her head with a smile. These three women may be good friends, but when it comes to having your time to shine on The Grandest Stage of Them All, it's all about getting that opportunity. And it seems like Becky Lynch and Naomi have their eyes firmly on the prize.</p><p> </p><p>

<hr></p><p>

<div style="font:24px Roboto;font-weight:bold;color:#103ab6;">United States Champion Bobby Roode def. Rusev</div></p><p>

The Modern Day Maharajah had finally been bested at Fastlane, leaving The Glorious One without a challenger. Thus returned The Glorious United States Championship Open Challenge, and this week saw The Bulgarian Brute, Rusev rise to the occasion. The former US Champion looked to do what his partner, Aiden English could not do last week and defeat Bobby Roode, but after missing a superkick attempt, Roode was able to plant Rusev with a Glorious DDT and secure the victory, much to the disppointment of The ARtiste at ringside.</p><p> </p><p>

Rusev Day wasn't quite going to plan, but Bobby Roode's was certainly turning out to be "glorious". But with the opportunity before him, the United States Champion took to the microphone to address his WrestleMania status, and confirmed that over the next four weeks, he would be scouting for a number one contender, and reveals that he will host a Glorious Open Challenge in New Orleans for his United States Championship. Who will seek the opportunity to claim the gold at The Show of Shows?</p><p> </p><p>

<hr></p><p>

<div style="font:18px Roboto;font-weight:bold;">The Riott Squad assault Natalya and Lana in an unprovoked attack</div></p><p>

It was a given that The Riott Squad weren't going to be happy following their double loss this past Sunday, but their actions on SmackDown LIVE were unacceptable regardless. The trio of superstars unleashed an unprovoked attack in the backstage area on Natalya and Lana who were still recovering from their earlier defeat at the hands of Becky Lynch and Naomi. With no explanation at all, Ruby Riott and her cohorts dismantled the pair and left them laying in the locker room. The Riott Squad quickly left as officials attended the scene. What was this unprovoked attack for? What is The Riott Squad's motive?</p><p> </p><p>

<hr></p><p>

<div style="font:18px Roboto;font-weight:bold;">Randy Orton addresses his WrestleMania status and tonight's bout with Dolph Ziggler</div></p><p>

Nobody may be more disappointed than Randy Orton following his defeat at WWE Fastlane. The Viper was already in a Triple Threat bout for the opportunity to go to WrestleMania, but the unexpected addition of Dolph Ziggler simply made matters worse. Being interviewed by Renee Young, Randy Orton declared that his opportunity was ruined by Dolph Ziggler and his ego, so tonight he intended to make The Showoff pay. But when questioned about his status for WrestleMania, the former World Champion responded with a very simple answer - "You won't know when, you won't know where, but The Viper will strike". Orton has very clear intentions of making it to WrestleMania, but how he will is something we will have to wait and see.</p><p> </p><p>

<hr></p><p>

<div style="font:24px Roboto;font-weight:bold;color:#103ab6;">Dolph Ziggler def. Randy Orton</div></p><p>

This was about revenge for Randy Orton as he looked to avenge his loss this past Sunday thanks to Dolph Ziggler's uninvited involvement in the number one contendership match. The Showoff was set on continuing his momentum, hot off the heels of his monumental victory, and well on his way to the main event of WrestleMania. But Ziggler's journey through this contest wasn't quite as smooth as he would've hoped as Randy Orton gave him one hell of a fight. The Viper reversed a Zig Zag attempt into a modified backbreaker and closed in on victory over the number one contender, but when The Showoff decided it was time to pull out the desperation moves, he raked the eyes of Orton who attempted an RKO and delivered a successful Zig Zag, hooking the leg and picking up another big win, just two days after he punched his ticket to New Orleans.</p><p> </p><p>

The WWE Universe were less than happy with Dolph Ziggler's victory over Randy Orton and they made him aware of it with their voice. But with a WWE Championship opportunity safely in The Showoff's possession, public opinion was the least of his worries. His victory celebration wasn't long, however, as The Phenomenal One arrived on the scene to once again stand face-to-face with his adversary at The Show of Shows. An intense staredown followed as both men looked ready for their title clash. However, one man who wasn't excited for the upcoming WrestleMania main event was Randy Orton, and as he promised earlier in the night - The Viper struck!</p><p> </p><p>

Randy Orton spun Dolph Ziggler around and delivered a thunderous RKO to the delight of the Indianapolis crowd and stood face-to-face with the WWE Champion, AJ Styles. The Viper may have lost the bout at Fastlane, but his goal has not changed, and his Championship chase is far from over. Will Randy Orton be able to secure a spot at WrestleMania?</p><p> </p><p>

<div style="font:18px Roboto;font-weight:bold;">Daniel Bryan returns to SmackDown LIVE and "apologises" for his actions before unleashing heinous attack on Shane McMahon</div></p><p>

The anticipation was unbareable in the arena as Daniel Bryan's return to SmackDown LIVE loomed. The Commissioner, Shane McMahon addressed the WWE Universe, reminding them why Daniel Bryan had been suspended for the past couple of months. But The Prodigal Son was willing to let bygones be bygones and start a fresh on the Road to WrestleMania. And with that, he welcomed The Yes Man back to SmackDown LIVE with open arms, and a deafening reaction from the WWE Universe.</p><p> </p><p>

A heartfelt confrontation ensued and Daniel Bryan could not have been more apologetic. The former World Champion expressed his disappointment and embarrassment in himself for doing what he did and let the stress of the job get the better of him. Of course, Shane McMahon confirmed that he was willing to let it all go and continue his working relationship with the SmackDown General Manager, and Daniel Bryan agreed. Expressing his desire to continue making SmackDown LIVE the number one brand, and The Land of Opportunity, Bryan shook hands with Shane-O and the pair shared an embrace. It seems the wounds were healed and regular program can continue. Or was it?</p><p> </p><p>

As Shane McMahon raised the hand of Daniel Bryan, he found himself suddenly dragged down to the canvas and locked in the painful Yes Lock as the WWE Universe watched on in horror. Daniel Bryan's expression changed and his eyes widened, wrenching back on the neck of the Commissioner. Nobody knew what to do as the deranged General Manager unleashed this heinous assault on the man he had just apologised to moments ago. Officials soon rushed the scene, but even they struggled to pry Bryan's hands apart and release the hold. It was only after Corey Graves and Byron Saxton stepped away from the commentary desk to intervene that Bryan was forced to let go and release Shane from the devastating hold.</p><p> </p><p>

Officials escorted Daniel Bryan away from ringside as medical personnel tended to the fallen Commissioner. But the question is why? Why would Daniel Bryan ruin his own opportunity to return by assaulting his superior? It seems as though the only explanation we have is the words that Daniel Bryan shouted as he left up the aisle - "This is my show!".</div></p><p>

WWE: 205 Live (March 13, 2018)

PqpqzAo.png

WWE 205 Live: March 13, 2018 in Indianapolis, Indiana

As The Grandest Stage of Them All quickly approaches, the WWE Cruiserweight Championship Tournament rolls on through the Quarter-Finals in Indianapolis. Tonight’s tournament matchup features Mustafa Ali taking on “El Rey de las Cuerdas” Gran Metalik for the chance to advance. One man’s dream of going to WrestleMania 34 will live on, while one’s will perish.

Ariya Daivari def. TJP

While they both may have been knocked out of the WWE Cruiserweight Championship Tournament in the very first round, both Daivari and TJP looked to use their time on 205 Live tonight to make a statement in order to hopefully get a future championship match following WrestleMania.

As the opening bell rang, TJP and Daviari immediately exchanged blows, and despite an early advantage from The Persian Lion, The Duke of Dab’s agility and fast-paced abilities quickly proved that he may have finally been focused on his wrestling ability and not his ego. Following a brief back and forth, Daivari took control of the match, doing his best to keep his opponent grounded.

TJP did fight back, but something quickly snapped in his mind as he began to focus more and more on showboating than on finishing the match. While dabbing on the fools at ringside when he should have went for the pinfall, Ariya Daivari snuck up behind the first-ever WWE Cruiserweight Champion and planted him to the mat with a short-armed lariat that would make Stan Hansen proud for the stormless three count.

Ariya Daivari managed to get his first win on 205 Live since August, and hopefully this will turn The Persian Lion’s fortunes on the purple and yellow brand around. As for TJP, he’ll need to check his ego at the door if he wishes to continue to do battle in the Cruiserweight division, as per 205 Live General Manager Drake Maverick.

Mustafa Ali def. Gran Metalik

The third Quarter-Final match of the WWE Cruiserweight Championship Tournament had everybody standing on their feet - the entire WWE Universe in a state of pure awe from the athleticism and ferocity of both Mustafa Ali and Gran Metalik.

Metalik started the match off with his lucha libre technique, showcasing that he was bigger, faster, and perhaps stronger than his opponent. Metalik launched himself from pillar to post in an attempt to get a quick victory over the former Chicago PD officer. But Ali was not going to stand around and be defeated by The Crown Jewel of Lucha Libre. After countering Metalik’s hurricanrana into a slam, Mustafa shifted the momentum of the match in his favour with a huge spinning spike DDT from the corner for a nearfall.

If the Chicago native proved anything against Ariya Daivari, it’s that he is incredibly resilient. Keeping Metalik at bay, Ali turned the table with an incredible 450 Splash onto his opponent’s leg. Wasting little time, Ali capitalized by targeting Metalik’s leg, taking away any and all forms of the masked marvel’s lucha expertise.

Regaining control by dropping Ali to the outside, Metalik battled through the pain to sail over the top rope, MAMMA MIA. Despite the advantage, Gran Metalik could not secure a victory, and Ali struck back, nearly claiming the win following a reverse hurricanrana and a tornado DDT.

As Ali dished out punishment, a defiant El Rey de las Cuerdas called for more, and the two exchanged blows. Unfortunately for Metalik, his injured leg became a major detriment, as he couldn’t execute the Metalik Driver or maintain a pin. Taking advantage of the injury, Ali rolled up his opponent and scored the victory to advance to the semifinals.

WWE: NXT (March 14, 2018)

WWE NXT: March 14, 2018 in Orlando, Florida

The black and yellow brand returns to sunny Orlando, Florida on the bumpy road to NXT TakeOver: New Orleans. Tonight, a Number One Contender for the NXT Women’s Championship will be decided in a ferocious fatal five-way match. Also, after their confrontation last week, Aleister Black will take on SAnitY’s Killian Dain in a match that could decide who will get the opportunity to challenge Andrade “Cien” Almas for the NXT Championship at TakeOver! All this and more as WWE NXT returns home to the Full Sail Faithful.

Velveteen Dream def. Trent Seven

While The Velveteen Dream laid out the gauntlet to all winners of the 2017 NXT Year-End Awards, his challenge to the first-ever WWE UK Champion Tyler Bate stirred up some exchanged words between the two recently on Twitter. Tonight, Dream got the opportunity to face Bate’s mentor and friend, Trent Seven.

Seven, ever the savvy veteran, did manage to out wrestle the cocky Vainglorious One, but Dream’s dream of showcasing that he’s the absolute best among the NXT Award winners powered him just enough to the point of viciousness. After targeting The Mustachioed Man’s knee, Dream made his beauty mark on Trent before finishing the bout… in his own way, of course. After capitalizing on The Purple Rainmaker, Dream picked up the remains of the former PROGRESS Wrestling Tag Team Champion and planted him to the mat with Bate’s Tyler Driver ‘97 to secure the victory while adding insult to injury.

The Mighty announce their championship aspirations

Last week’s huge main event between The Undisputed ERA’s Adam Cole and SAnitY’s Eric Young ended in absolute chaos. In the end, however, only one team stood tall: The Mighty. The combination of Shane Thorne and Nick Miller, formerly known as TM61, went over their actions from last week alongside NXT backstage correspondent Charly St. Cloud. Thorne and Miller both noted that they have fought tooth and nail to return to the forefront of the NXT Tag Team division, and they finally want a shot at The Undisputed ERA’s NXT Tag Team Championships - preferably at NXT TakeOver: New Orleans.

They didn’t receive an answer and the decision remains in the hands of WWE NXT General Manager William Regal, who promised later on in the broadcast that he will think about the decision and will have an answer next week! But for now, The Mighty will continue to train just as hard as they have, because The Mighty don’t kneel.

Aleister Black def. Killian Dain

A big-fight feel hung in the air as two of the winningest Superstars in NXT history, Aleister Black and Killian Dain, went toe-to-toe in a match that carried potential NXT Title implications. To shed the devil on his back and move one step closer to an NXT Championship opportunity, Black knew he had to clear a massive roadblock in the form of the SAnitY juggernaut.

The Beast of Belfast wasn’t about to make it easy, using brawn and bad intentions to wear down The Dutch Destroyer. Dain blasted Black with hard hits and used submission holds to rob him of breath. He smothered Black with a senton and a Vader Bomb, and made Black appear, for once, uncharacteristically human.

Black forged ahead and eventually found his opening, reversing Dain’s Ulster Plantation into a victory roll. The Beast of Belfast powered out of the pinning predicament but then walked straight into Black Mass. Black’s patented spin kick found its mark, flooring the 322-pound behemoth and paving the way for The Dutch Destroyer to claim the all-important victory.

Following the milestone win, NXT General Manager William Regal ruled that Black had earned the prize he wanted, announcing that Black will challenge NXT Champion Andrade “Cien” Almas for the title at TakeOver: New Orleans on Saturday, April 7, live on the award-winning WWE Network.

Heavy Machinery def. Local Competitors

Tucker Knight & Otis Dozovic pack an appetite wherever they go, and that spelled bad news for the competitors from a local wrestling organization. Heavy Machinery snacked on them like a couple of hor d’oeuvres, highlighted by Knight using a belly-to-belly suplex to throw one of their opponents the length of the ring. He then joined Dozovic for an unorthodox, but mightily effective double-team attack, leaping on Dozovic’s back as he powerslammed both opponents, flattening both men beneath Heavy Machinery’s combined 650 pounds.

Peyton Royce def. Shayna Baszler, Nikki Cross, Kairi Sane, and Billie Kay

With no official number one contender for Ember Moon’s NXT Women’s Championship, all five cornerstones of the NXT Women’s division were ready to duke it out to determine who gets the opportunity of a lifetime at NXT TakeOver: New Orleans. As soon as the bell rung, the alliances, the rivalries, and the chaos ensued.

The Iconic Duo, of course, teamed up to do battle with their former rival Nikki Cross. While outnumbered, the deranged Scot didn’t seem to fazed at the idea of battling two NXT Superstars at the same time. In fact, the thought seemed to excite her as she began unleashing a beating against the two Aussies.

Meanwhile, both Mae Young Classic finalists and bitter rivals, Kairi Sane and Shayna Baszler brawled around ringside - with neither woman being able to get the advantage. That is until Shayna targeted Sane’s elbow by forcefully smashing it against the ring post with a loud thud. Sane cried out in pain, but The Queen of Spades continued the attack with no risk of disqualification in this contest.

The number’s game did catch up to Nikki Cross as both Peyton Royce and Billie Kay teamed up against SAnitY’s high priestess of controlled chaos. With Cross taking out from a fisherman’s suplex from Royce, Kay tried to get the quick cover - only to be pulled off by Royce. The Duo looked to talk through their miscommunication, but the blind side attack from Shayna Baszler caught them both off guard.

As Baszler grappled and tore at the ligaments of both Billie Kay and Peyton Royce, an unholy alliance formed between Kairi Sane and Nikki Cross, who both entered the ring and targeted the former mixed martial artist. With Baszler taken out of the equation, Sane and Cross battled it out like wild animals, with neither of them being able to secure a pinfall to advance to NXT TakeOver: New Orleans.

The action continued with Baszler and The Iconic Duo all reentering the ring as a five-way staredown had goosebumps forming on the neck’s of the NXT Universe. The match descended into an even further level of chaos as all five hopeful contenders traded signature moves left and right. After a diving crossbody from Cross, Shayna Baszler found herself on the wrong end of Kairi’s Insane Elbow - but the pain from the injured elbow was enough to force Sane not to go for the cover.

Baszler rolled out of the ring, looking to regain her breath from the elbow, as The Iconic Duo threw both Cross and Kairi from the squared circle. Billie Kay looked to sneak her way to a win by turning Peyton around and attempting with the Shades of Key, but her best friend countered the kick and connected with the Venus Fly Trap for the hard-earned victory!

Peyton Royce stood victorious in the ring - having punched her ticket to NXT TakeOver: New Orleans. Speaking of said event, NXT Women’s Champion Ember Moon came down to the ring with the title in tow as she exchanged a few words and a lengthy stare with the challenger. On Saturday, April 7, live on the award-winning WWE Network, one of these two NXT Superstars will walk out as NXT Women’s Champion. Will New Orleans be Iconic? Or will the Eclipse shine over Bourbon Street?

<div style="font:18px Roboto;font-weight:bold;">John Cena accepts Samoa Joe's WrestleMania challenge and Stephanie McMahon "restores order" on Raw</div></p><p>

"Never Back Down" isn't just a catchphrase for John Cena, and he proved that by opening this week's edition of Raw to accept the WrestleMania challenge of Samoa Joe. The Destroyer laid out the challenge last week and sent a message to the Cenation Leader by refusing to release the Coquina Clutch on Kassius Ohno. The 16-time World Champion got the message loud and clear and officially accept, setting the stage for these two hard-hitting athletes to collide on The Grandest Stage of Them All. But the WWE Universe were almost treat to a preview three weeks early as the former NXT Champion emerged to confront his WrestleMania adversary.</p><p> </p><p>

Some bold words were spoken by Samoa Joe who claimed that he would break John Cena in New Orleans and embarrass him in front of the millions of people around the world witnessing his destruction. Not one to take a threat lying down, John Cena removed his shirt and gave Joe a clear warning - "You want some? Come get some". And with that, all hell seemed set to break loose. That was until the Raw Commissioner, Stephanie McMahon interrupted and put a halt on the physicality from ever beginning. The WWE Universe were not happy, making their voices heard by chanting "Let them fight", but The Billionaire Baroness was having none of it.</p><p> </p><p>

Revealing that the General Manager of Raw, Kurt Angle had been given the night off and that she would be taking the reigns of Raw to "sort out Angle's mess", she immediately put an end to any conflict between John Cena and Samoa Joe, stating that they had to wait until WrestleMania, refusing to have her show fall into chaos just moments in. The Commissioner explained that she had other plans for the two WrestleMania opponents, announcing that John Cena would take on the Intercontinental Champion, The Miz in the main event, while Samoa Joe would square off against Finn Bálor, right now. This situation between rivals may have been diffused for now, but how long can they be kept apart before it all breaks down?</p><p> </p><p>

<div style="font:24px Roboto;font-weight:bold;color:#cb1516;">Samoa Joe def. Finn Bálor</div></p><p>

Having being thrust into this bout with Finn Bálor, reigniting their NXT Championship feud from two years ago, Joe and Bálor went head-to-head to kick off Monday Night Raw. But the number one contender for The Miz's Intercontinental Championship at WrestleMania had a lot more than just Samoa Joe to contend with when The Miz himself and his Miztourage arrived at ringside. Curtis Axel and Bo Dallas unleashed an attack on Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson by ringside, which caught the attention of Bálor who gave a warning to The Miz ahead of their title clash in three weeks. But the momentary distraction ended up costing the former Universal Champion as The Destroyer capitalised and delivered a thunderous Straight-Jacket German Suplex to claim the victory.</p><p> </p><p>

Samoa Joe walked out victorious, leaving Finn Bálor to stew in his loss thanks to The Miz. Will John Cena be able to overcome his challenge later in the night when he takes on the Intercontinental Champion?</p><p> </p><p>

<div style="font:18px Roboto;font-weight:bold;">Elias' latest performance is crashed by Titus Worldwide</div></p><p>

Another week, another performance from Elias. Once again guaranteeing his victory in the André the Giant Memorial Battle Royal at WrestleMania, The Sinister Songsmith told the WWE Universe that whether they like it or not, he will be the man who raises the trophy in New Orleans, and the next night on Raw will be officially renamed "Elias in Concert, featuring the superstars of Raw". However, two men who were not too fond of Elias' performance were Titus O'Neil and Apollo of Titus Worldwide. The duo interrupted Elias' song to reveal that they too would be participating in the André the Giant Memorial Battle Royal at WrestleMania, but Elias wasn't too happy with their interruption and demanded to know who they thought they were. Responding with a right hand, Apollo let him know exactly who he was, looking to make an impact ahead of The Show of Shows, leading into an impromptu match.</p><p> </p><p>

<hr></p><p>

<div style="font:24px Roboto;font-weight:bold;color:#cb1516;">Apollo def. Elias</div></p><p>

Everyone wants to make a name for themselves at WrestleMania, and Apollo is no different. The impressive superstar looked to gain some momentum heading into the annual brawl and did just that when he shockingly defeated Elias one-on-one. Slipping out of a Drift Away attempt, Apollo delivered The CHariot and put The Sinister Songsmith down for the three and the victory.</p><p> </p><p>

Titus O'Neil was delighted with the victory and embraced Apollo as he left the ring with a grin from-ear-to-ear. Safe to say Elias was distraught and argued with the referee, but the decision was final and Apollo just made a statement heading into this year's André the Giant Memorial Battle Royal.</p><p> </p><p>

<div style="font:24px Roboto;font-weight:bold;color:#cb1516;">Seth Rollins & Roman Reigns def. The Revival</div></p><p>

The Revival have been touting themselves, asking for more competition in recent weeks, and well - they got it. The duo of former Shield members, Seth Rollins and Roman Reigns gave Dash Wilder and Scott Dawson the high-profile bout they have been after, and delivered them a loss as a result. The former NXT Tag Team Champions held their own against the former World Champions, but when The Big Dog eliminated Scott Dawson from the bout with a bone-jarring Spear, The Kingslayer was able to strike with a Blackout to Dash Wilder, driving him head-first into the canvas and securing the win.</p><p> </p><p>

The celebration of former Shield brothers was cut short almost immediately following the ring bell as the reigning Raw Tag Team Champions, The Bar made their way onto the stage to declare their superiority over the superstars before them. Sheamus claimed that he and Cesaro are better than The Shield ever were, and there's absolutely no chance of them turning their back on each other like Seth Rollins did to Reigns and Ambrose back in the day. But The Bar's attempts to drive a wedge between Reigns and Rollins failed as The Big Dog stepped forward to defend his ally, claiming that what happened years ago moulded them into the superstars they are today, and as a result are stronger than ever.</p><p> </p><p>

Seizing the opportunity, Seth Rollins challenged Sheamus and Cesaro to put their money where their mouth is and defend their Raw Tag Team Championships against him and Reigns at WrestleMania. After a moment of discussion between the two partners, The Bar finally accepted the challenge to the delight of the WWE Universe, but promised that they would cement their legacy as the greatest tag team in history by defeating Seth Rollins and Roman Reigns at The Show of Shows in New Orleans.</p><p> </p><p>

<div style="font:18px Roboto;font-weight:bold;">"Woken" Matt Hardy's WrestleMania address is interrupted by a supernatural force in Sister Abigail</div></p><p>

After finally conquering his adversary, Bray Wyatt at The Wyatt Compound last week, "Woken" Matt Hardy made a WrestleMania address to all his Woken Warriors, but no sooner had he claimed to be free of his supernatural rival, the screen cut to static and a shadowy figure took over the broadcast. The outline seemed to be that of The Eater of Worlds himself, but the voice that spoke introduced himself as the embodiment of Sister Abigail. Acting as a vessel for the soul of Sister Abigail in order to act out her ultimate revenge on Matt Hardy, Bray Wyatt declared that the war was not over. According to The Face of Fear, his beloved Abigail provided him with enough power to revive himself from defeat and put an end to this all-out war once and for all.</p><p> </p><p>

Laughing maniacally, Wyatt declared that next week, he and Sister Abigail will invade the home world of Matt Hardy, and burn it to the ground, burying The Woken One in the ground with it. The scene cut back to Matt Hardy who seemed delighted with the revelation, claiming that this inter-dimensional war had indeed run its course, and it is time to end it all. The Woken One welcomed Bray Wyatt's invasion claims and invited him to join him in his humble abode for one final battle to end all battles. Across the Lake of Reincarnation, to the Dome of Deletion, where Bray Wyatt will finally meet his ultimate fate. And with that, Matt Hardy gave a "woken" message to his evil adversary, sentencing him to The Ultimate Deletion!</p><p> </p><p>

Cutting back to Bray Wyatt, The Eater of Worlds simply responded with a laugh that echoed through the annals of WWE for what seemed like an eternity as his malformed voice seemed to become more and more corrupt, until a flash of what can only be assumed to be Sister Abigail's horrifying face appeared on screen to close out this bizarre moment. Will Bray Wyatt get his revenge when he visits The Hardy Compound next week? Or will Matt Hardy finally end the war and render Bray Wyatt... OBSOLETE?!</p><p> </p><p>

<div style="font:24px Roboto;font-weight:bold;color:#cb1516;">Alexa Bliss def. Bayley</div></p><p>

With the stage set for Sasha Banks and Asuka over the Raw Women's Championship, Alexa Bliss and Bayley continued to interject themselves into the situation, but the two superstars were forced into a match with each other this week on Raw. It just so happened that the tables may have been turned as the Raw Women's Champion herself emerged at ringside, seeming to cheer on her "best friend", Bayley despite their recent disagreements. But Bayley didn't take too kindly to Sasha's presence and demanded that she leave ringside, only to be rolled up by the former Champion, Alexa Bliss who secured the victory over The Huggable One.</p><p> </p><p>

Immediately following the ring bell, The Boss entered the ring and delivered a thunderous forearm to the celebrating Alexa Bliss, knocking her clean out of the ring. But Bayley wasn't finished asking questions, and spun Sasha around to ask her what on earth she thinks she's doing. And to the horror of everyone in attendance, The Boss delivered a sickening blow to the head of Bayley with her Raw Women's Championship as the WWE Universe gave her an extremely negative response. Standing over her fallen former friend, Sasha screamed that she was the Raw Women's Champion and that isn't going to change. Suddenly, the number one contender emerges and Asuka rushes the ring, ducking underneath another title shot and throwing The Boss over the ropes and down to the floor.</p><p> </p><p>

No sooner had Sasha Banks' feet touch the floor, Stephanie McMahon made yet another appearance, explaining that yet again she was being forced to clean up Kurt Angle's mess. The Raw Commissioner explained that if the four women involved in this situation keep creating havoc each week on Raw then she sees no alternative but to make the match at WrestleMania a Fatal 4-Way! Everyone looked on in shock, but nobody more than Sasha Banks who was furious with the decision, now having to defend her title against not only Asuka, but Bayley and Alexa Bliss as well. The Boss is in serious trouble at WrestleMania.</p><p> </p><p>

<div style="font:18px Roboto;font-weight:bold;">Kassius Ohno, Heath Slater, Rhyno and Goldust all confirm their participation in the André the Giant Memorial Battle Royal</div></p><p>

The list continues to grow as four more Raw superstars confirmed their participation in the André the Giant Memorial Battle Royal this week. The duo of Heath Slater and Rhyno were the first to announce their entry, followed by Goldust who promised that it would be a crowning moment for him and the best Hollywood blockbuster in history. Finally, Kassius Ohno threw his name into the hat and claimed that if he had to knock out ten, twenty or thirty guys to get the trophy, he's going to do whatever it takes to have his WrestleMania moment. Who else will join them as WrestleMania draws nearer each week?</p><p> </p><p>

<hr></p><p>

<div style="font:24px Roboto;font-weight:bold;color:#cb1516;">Shinsuke Nakamura def. Jason Jordan via disqualification</div></p><p>

The number one contender for the Universal Championship at WrestleMania was in the house on Raw, taking on the son of General Manager, Kurt Angle. The Rockstar impressed the WWE Universe with his in-ring performance, but little did he know that this contest was about to take a devastating turn. The theme of Brock Lesnar interrupted the match and The Beast himself stormed to ringside and slid in the ring, tackling Nakamura into the corner, giving the referee no choice but to call for the bell.</p><p> </p><p>

The Universal Champion tossed his adversary to the canvas and mounted him, driving hard elbows into the skull of Nakamura over and over again. Obviously with revenge on his mind, Lesnar threw Nakamura to the outside and bounced him off barricades left and right before launching him into the steel steps. The Beast had definitely been unleashed as the fight travelled up the ramp to the stage where Lesnar slammed his WrestleMania opponent head-first into the stage panel which sparked on impact. With medical personnel and officials already on standby - nobody willing to step in Brock Lesnar's way and stop this - the Universal Champion dragged Nakamura to the commentary box and dismantled the announce desk, only to put The King of Strong Style through it with a destructive F-5.</p><p> </p><p>

Paul Heyman emerged from the stage with a grin on his face as the WWE Universe rained down boos on the pair. Heyman handed over the Universal Championship and Brock Lesnar raised it above his head as Shinsuke Nakamura lay motionless in the wreckage of the announce table. The number one contender may have embarrassed Lesnar last week and got the upper hand, but The Beast just got his own back, and it looked to be twice as bad.</p><p> </p><p>

The Irresistible Force that is Nia Jax had dominated the women's division over the last few weeks and has not stopped her warpath ever since Elimination Chamber. Who can stop Nia Jax when she is focused? And what does she mean when she says she will "take matters into her own hands"?</p><p> </p><p>

<div style="font:24px Roboto;font-weight:bold;color:#cb1516;">Absolution def. Mickie James & Alicia Fox</div></p><p>

Absolution have been somewhat MIA the last couple of weeks, but making an impact in their return, the team of Sonya Deville and Mandy Rose were able to defeat two former Champions, Mickie James and Alicia Fox. When Paige pulled the leg of Alicia Fox and prevented her from delivering her signature Axe Kick, Mandy Rose capitalised nad spun Fox around into her Bed of Roses for the victory.</p><p> </p><p>

After the bell, Paige began directing traffic and the duo tossed Foxy out of the ring and down to the floor before focusing their assault on Mickie James. Sonya Deville struck with a huge Jumping Roundhouse Kick, taking the former Women's Champion down to the canvas as The Raven-Haired Renegade entered the ring and stood over James. Delivering one final blow, Paige lifted Mickie to her feet and planted her with a Ram-Paige, laying her out cold. Absolution just made a statement, so women's division - take note.</p><p> </p><p>

<div style="font:18px Roboto;font-weight:bold;">Stephanie McMahon and Triple H address Kurt Angle's "incompetence" and reveal his job may be in jeopardy</div></p><p>

After a night of apparently "cleaning up Kurt Angle's mess", Stephanie McMahon returned to her office and was met by her husband, Triple H. The power couple discussed how much of a terrible state Raw had been in under the watch of the Olympic Gold Medalist and explained that after they beat him and Ronda Rousey at WrestleMania, she's going to take great pride in telling them both the two words her father made famous - "You're fired!". The Game agreed and explained that Kurt Angle and Ronda Rousey will be back on Raw next week, and they're in for a shock when they return. What does this mean?</p><p> </p><p>

<div style="font:24px Roboto;font-weight:bold;color:#cb1516;">John Cena def. Intercontinental Champion The Miz</div></p><p>

Samoa Joe came out on top in his match earlier in the night, albeit with some help from The Miz and his Miztourage, but could John Cena do the same? It seems the theme of the night might just be revenge as the Intercontinental Champion and his crew found themselves on the receiving end of their own tactics as The Bálor Club emerged to approach ringside. Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson returned the favour from earlier and took out Curtis Axel and Bo Dallas on the outside. The A-Lister saw what was going on and hightailed it up the ramp, only to run right into his WrestleMania opponent, Finn Bálor. The Intercontinental Champion screeched to a halt like in a cartoon and immediately backed up before returning to the ring. But the chaos allowed John Cena to seek an opportunity and deliver an Attitude Adjustment to The Miz and secure the victory in the main event.</p><p> </p><p>

Having got his payback on the Intercontinental Champion, Finn Bálor and The Good Brothers entered the ring and stood side-by-side with John Cena as Axel and Dallas helped their leader to the back. The Bálor Club continued to answer The Miz's advances with a response, and Bálor's clash with The Miz in New Orleans is sure to be a classic. But John Cena also secured a victory of his own, keeping the score level with Samoa Joe. But will they be able to withhold their aggression before their match on The Grandest Stage of Them All?</p><p> </p><p>

<div style="font:18px Roboto;font-weight:bold;">The Undertaker makes a shocking return to Raw to confront Braun Strowman and issue a silent WrestleMania challenge</div></p><p>

They say everything's bigger in Texas, and it doesn't get much better than the return of The Undertaker. Braun Strowman made his way to the ring to address the mystery of the last few weeks and all the strange goings on that have been happening around him, with one culprit to blame - The Deadman. The Monster Among Men demanded that The Phenom show his face and look him in the eye like a man, claiming that The Undertaker is nothing more than a coward hiding in the shadows. Making a bold claim, Strowman said that Undertaker is scared that he will receive the same debilitating beating that his brother, Kane received. And that may have been the claim that woke the dead as the signature gong hit and the legendary Deadman made his way to the ring to a deafening roar from the WWE Universe.</p><p> </p><p>

Making a slow journey to the ring as darkness and mist filled the arena, The Undertaker finally entered through the ropes and stood across from The Monster Among Men in a moment for the ages. "This is awesome!" echoed through the building, and rightly so. Undertaker and Strowman stood face-to-face with neither man taking their eyes off the other, and despite remaining silent, the message was clear as The Deadman looked up to the WrestleMania sign above and ran his finger across his throat, making a direct threat to Braun Strowman. The Man Mountain became enraged and took a swing at The Undertaker, only to miss and receive a flurry of shots himself from the icon!</p><p> </p><p>

The WWE Universe erupted as The Undertaker laid his fists into the face of Braun Strowman before clotheslining him over the ropes and down to the floor. The Monster Among Men attempted to return to the fight, but as he set foot on the apron, Undertaker's arms flew into the air and flames exploded from the four corners of the ring, sending Strowman stumbling backwards. The Phenom's theme played and Braun Strowman reluctantly backed up the ramp with a rage-filled expression. The big man stood on the stage, shrouded in The Undertaker's mist, staring back down to the ring at The Deadman as the two engaged in an intense staredown under the light of the WrestleMania sign. The Undertaker looks to avenge his brother at WrestleMania and make Braun Strowman REST IN PEACE!</p><p>

<div style="font:18px Roboto;font-weight:bold;">Daniel Bryan addresses his actions from last week and makes some immediate changes to SmackDown LIVE</div></p><p>

Shane McMahon openly invited Daniel Bryan back to SmackDown LIVE next week for a fresh start and a clean slate, but it seemed that The Yes Man had other plans. Despite initially seeming apologetic, the General Manager struck when Shane-O least expected it, applying the Yes Lock and refusing to release it. Many people wondered why Daniel Bryan struck with such aggression, and they got some sort of answer on this week's episode.</p><p> </p><p>

The former World Champion sent a direct message to his superior, advising him that he should have stayed away and let him run the show, and all that would have been avoided. But the WWE Universe didn't know how to react to their once beloved superstar, as Bryan continued to declare SmackDown LIVE as his show, whether Shane McMahon liked it or not. And with that said, the General Manager went on to make a blockbuster announcement with WrestleMania in the spotlight.</p><p> </p><p>

Daniel Bryan began by creating a main event fitting for Texas, as it was definitely bigger than anything in recent weeks. The Yes Man revealed that after Shane McMahon "ruined" the match at WWE Fastlane, he was giving Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn another opportunity to compete for the WWE Championship, as well as Randy Orton, by making a Triple Threat Match - the one that was originally scheduled for Fastlane - between the three men to give one of them the opportunity to be added to the WrestleMania bout. This delighted the WWE Universe, but one can only imagine that AJ Styles and Dolph Ziggler might not be too happy. Regardless, Daniel Bryan promised changes on the blue brand now that he is back, and it looks like he's off to a flying start.</p><p> </p><p>

<div style="font:24px Roboto;font-weight:bold;color:#103ab6;">Becky Lynch def. Naomi to become number one contender</div></p><p>

Partners last week, opponents this week. And an opportunity to compete for the SmackDown Women's Championship on The Show of Shows at stake. The two good friends, Becky Lynch and Naomi, engaged in a back-and-forth battle to determine who's Road to WrestleMania would culminate at the event itself with a golden opportunity against Charlotte Flair. And after many near falls and big moves, Becky Lynch was able to drag Naomi to the canvas and apply the Dis-Arm-Her, forcing her adversary into submission and punching her ticket to New Orleans.</p><p> </p><p>

The Irish Lasskicker flung her arms into the air in celebration before being confronted by Naomi. Even in defeat, Naomi felt the glow and congratulated her friend on her victory, raising her hand and leading a round of applause from the WWE Universe. But her moment of glory was short lived as The Queen herself emerged to confront her new number one contender. Sharing a smile between them, Charlotte Flair and Becky Lynch stood face-to-face under the light of the WrestleMania sign knowing full well that their friendship would be non-existent when WrestleMania came around.</p><p> </p><p>

<div style="font:18px Roboto;font-weight:bold;">Shane McMahon arrives at the arena claiming that "it's all good"</div></p><p>

Everyone would have expected Shane McMahon to arrive at the arena all guns blazing, furious at the actions of Daniel Bryan last week - but he wasn't. The Commissioner of SmackDown LIVE rolled up in the parking lot before being greeted by Renee Young who immediately asked the burning question - what was his reaction to Daniel Bryan's heinous attack? "It's all good" responded The Prodigal Son to the confusion of many. Shane McMahon confirmed that last week was a surprise to him and he wasn't expecting it, but apparently it was all in hand. He revealed that he was running late and had lots of paperwork to dig out and sort through, rushing off into the distance. How could Shane be so relaxed after being brutally assaulted by his General Manager?</p><p> </p><p>

<div style="font:24px Roboto;font-weight:bold;color:#103ab6;">The Bludgeon Brothers def. Local Competitors</div></p><p>

Did you expect anything less? Once again, The Bludgeon Brothers cripple a pair of local competitors in Texas, destroying them with double crucifix bomb they call The Reckoning. Harper and Rowan dismantled the poor men and claimed yet another victory.</p><p> </p><p>

As we heard last week, The Bludgeon Brothers threatened of a reckoning coming to SmackDown LIVE, and the tag team division would suffer its wrath. But when will they strike? Who knows. One thing is for sure, when they do - nobody will be safe.</p><p> </p><p>

<div style="font:18px Roboto;font-weight:bold;">Zack Ryder, Rusev and Aiden English announce their participation in the André the Giant Memorial Battle Royal</div></p><p>

With the André the Giant Memorial Battle Royal continuing to grow in numbers, the superstars of SmackDown LIVE looked to throw their names into the hat, starting with Zack Ryder. The former Intercontinental and United States Champion confirmed his entry and expressed his desire to have another unforgettable WrestleMania moment like the one he had at WrestleMania 32 where he won the Intercontinental Championship. Next to declare their participation was Rusev and Aiden English, who promised to make April 8, 2018 the official Rusev Day when The Bulgarian Brute eliminated every other man to win the André the Giant Memorial trophy.</p><p> </p><p>

<div style="font:24px Roboto;font-weight:bold;color:#103ab6;">Jinder Mahal def. Sin Cara</div></p><p>

Speaking of the André the Giant Memorial Battle Royal, one man who announced his entry into the match last week was Jinder Mahal. The Modern Day Maharajah picked up a dominant victory over the luchadore, Sin Cara this week after avoiding the high-flying offence that Cara is so fond of and delivering a bone-jarring Khallas to claim the victory and gain some momentum heading into The Show of Shows.</p><p> </p><p>

Microphone in hand, the former WWE Champion declared that WrestleMania would be his night, as it should have been one year ago. But this time, he vows to walk away victorious, claiming that 2018 will undoubtedly be The Year of the Maharajah!</p><p> </p><p>

<div style="font:24px Roboto;font-weight:bold;color:#103ab6;">The New Day def. SmackDown Tag Team Champions The Usos</div></p><p>

The iconic rivalry between these two teams is well-documented, having battled for years over various Tag Team Championships, but this time it was a non-title bout with only pride at stake, and potentially a title shot in the future if The New Day could pull off a victory. And they did just that after an incredible tag team bout that saw the two teams pull out all the stops on the other to claim the victory. The SmackDown Tag Team Champions looked to be closing in on victory when they attempted to hit a tandem Uso Splash on Big E, but when Xavier Woods sent Jimmy Uso flying down to the floor outside, Jey was left to be caught by Big E and then the longest-reigning Tag Team Champions in history delivered their patented Midnight Hour to pick up a monumental victory over the Samoan twins.</p><p> </p><p>

With a victory over the Champions under their belt, The New Day seemed to be finally back on track in their hunt for the titles, and they knew that with WrestleMania looming on the horizon, this was the biggest win they could have got. The Usos regrouped and entered the ring to stand face-to-face with arguably their greatest rivals, under the light of the WrestleMania sign. And the WWE Universe could sense that this tag team rivalry could have been sparked once more on The Road to WrestleMania, and that could mean anything when it's these two teams involved. An intense staredown followed, raising the question of when they would do battle again.</p><p> </p><p>

<div style="font:18px Roboto;font-weight:bold;">Tye Dillinger, Chad Gable and Shelton Benjamin announce their participation in the André the Giant Memorial Battle Royal</div></p><p>

More SmackDown LIVE superstars were eager to put their name forward for the André the Giant Memorial Battle Royal, including Tye Dillinger who claimed that he would make WrestleMania a "perfect 10" if he could win the unique bout on The Grandest Stage of Them All. But also getting involved were the former SmackDown Tag Team Champions, Chad Gable and Shelton Benjamin. Still enraged by their loss to The Usos, the pair claimed that this would be their opportunity at redemption, and vowed that one of them would leave WrestleMania as the victor.</p><p> </p><p>

<div style="font:24px Roboto;font-weight:bold;color:#103ab6;">Ruby Riott def. Lana</div></p><p>

Last week saw The Riott Squad unleash an unprovoked assault on Lana and Natalya in the backstage area, many fans still confused as to why they would target the two women randomly. Looking for revenge, The Ravishing Russian took on the former number one contender in singles action, only to suffer defeat thanks to a Riott Kick laying Lana out.</p><p> </p><p>

Moments after the closing bell, The Riott Squad again assaulted Lana. But Natalya was waiting in the wings to make the save - that was until she too suffered another beating at the hands of Riott, Logan and Morgan. The Riott Squad's recent attitude has been dangerously violent, but what do they aim to accomplish?</p><p> </p><p>

<div style="font:18px Roboto;font-weight:bold;">Shane McMahon drops a bombshell with huge WrestleMania implications</div></p><p>

Confused would be the word. When Shane McMahon arrived in the building, he almost seemed fine with the whole Daniel Bryan assault from last week, causing many members of the WWE Universe to question his mental state. Was the Commissioner alright? Well, Shane-O decided it was time to address the masses and entered the ring holding a contract in his right hand, the content of which was unknown to everyone in the arena. Shane McMahon kicked things off by calling out the SmackDown LIVE General Manager, Daniel Bryan to join him in the ring. The Yes Man responded to the call, but remained on the stage, claiming it was for Shane McMahon's own safety.</p><p> </p><p>

Daniel Bryan acknowledge the contract in Shane's hand and declared that if it was his contract and Shane's intention was to fire him on live TV, then he'd like him to get it over and done with. But Shane had no intentions of firing Daniel Bryan. In fact, the Commissioner strangely stated that he wasn't even mad with Daniel Bryan. To Bryan's confusion, Shane revealed that the contract in his hand was one of a very sensitive and specific nature - one that Daniel Bryan would undoubtedly be interested in. But what was it? Well, Shane was about to explain.</p><p> </p><p>

Shane-O-Mac explained that the contract he had in his hand was drafted up that very morning, and all that was left to do was for him to sign the dotted line. And when Daniel Bryan told Shane to get on with the explanation, McMahon revealed that Daniel Bryan's claims that SmackDown LIVE was his show made him think. Raising the contract into the air, Shane mentioned Daniel Bryan's continuous desire to return to in-ring competition, only to be held back by WWE officials due to his health. He revealed that in his hand, was the contract that would allow Daniel Bryan to compete in the ring again, no strings attached. The WWE Universe erupted as Shane nodded his head in acknowledgement. The Commissioner of SmackDown LIVE confirms that he has the power to sign his name and take full responsibility of any consequences that may come of it.</p><p> </p><p>

The General Manager of SmackDown became anxious as he realised what was at stake. The very thing he desired as before him. But Shane McMahon had one more point to make, telling Daniel Bryan to listen closely. Shane would agree to sign his name and allow The Yes Man to compete in the squared circle once more under one condition - agree to a match with him at WrestleMania! The deafening roars from the WWE Universe sent shockwaves through the arena as Daniel Bryan looked down at Shane McMahon with an intense stare. Seemingly taking no time to consider whatsoever, the former World Champion accepted the offer to the delight of Shane-O-Mac, who immediately signed on the dotted line to officially allow Daniel Bryan to compete n the ring once more.</p><p> </p><p>

Time seemed to stand still as Daniel Bryan and Shane McMahon engaged in an intense staredown before the General Manager declared that Shane would live to regret the day he allowed him back into the ring. Shane McMahon had just made possibly the biggest move in SmackDown LIVE history, but at what cost? The Prodigal Son seemed to have only one thing on his mind, and that was revenge. "See you in New Orleans, Daniel".</p><p> </p><p>

<div style="font:24px Roboto;font-weight:bold;color:#103ab6;">United States Champion Bobby Roode def. Baron Corbin</div></p><p>

After revealing he would issue a Glorious Open Challenge at WrestleMania for his United States Championship, Bobby Roode continued to scout out the potential competition. The Lone Wolf rose to the occasion to take on The Glorious One this week on SmackDown LIVE, but fell victim to a Glorious DDT after his attempt at the End of Days was reversed. Bobby Roode secured the victory over his former rival and rose to his feet in celebration.</p><p> </p><p>

Another victory for Bobby Roode put him in good stead heading towards The Show of Shows, but the question remained as to who would challenge him for the United States Championship. The floor is open, but who's it gonna be?</p><p> </p><p>

<div style="font:24px Roboto;font-weight:bold;color:#103ab6;">Randy Orton def. Kevin Owens & Sami Zayn to be added to the WWE Championship Match at WrestleMania</div></p><p>

The number one contendership match at WWE Fastlane was turned on its head when Shane McMahon added Dolph Ziggler just moments before the opening bell. As a result, Daniel Bryan issued this rematch to take place to add one more man to the WWE Championship Match at WrestleMania. With the reigning WWE Champion, AJ Styles and his number one contender, Dolph Ziggler on commentary, this bout was set to get underway with huge WrestleMania implications hanging in the balance. Throughout the match, The Showoff declared how ridiculous it is that his title shot is being compromised by Daniel Bryan, but AJ Styles remained positive and still vowed to leave New Orleans with his title intact. Meanwhile, inside the ring, Sami Zayn had The Viper measured for a Helluva Kick, only to accidentally deliver the move to his best friend, Kevin Owens when Orton pulled The Prizefighter into the crossfire. Capitalising on the miscommunication of these allies, Randy Orton struck with an RKO to put The Underdog away and secure his own place in the WWE Championship Match at WrestleMania.</p><p> </p><p>

As The Viper celebrated his groundbreaking victory, Dolph Ziggler took matter into his own hands and entered the ring to assault his new WrestleMania adversary and take him down with a jaw-jacking superkick. The Showoff stood tall over his fallen foe, but he too was taken to the canvas by a surprise Phenomenal Forearm from the WWE Champion! AJ Styles helped Randy Orton to his feet as Dolph Ziggler retreated, clutching his jaw in pain. But suddenly, The Viper struck again with an RKO, this time to the very man who just saved him, AJ Styles! It will be every man for themselves at The Show of Shows, and Randy Orton just made that very clear. The Viper raised the WWE Championship over his head and stood under the light of the WrestleMania sign, perhaps in a preview of things to come in just three weeks.</div></p><p>
