Sin City Wrestling (A C-Verse Diary)

Recommended Posts

Warning: This diary contains strong language, Racism and sexual references. This is not for the faint of heart.

So I've decided to take a different approach in this diary. Most of the ones I've seen on the boards have been about "The good guy" trying to make their promotion the next big thing. I've decided to take a different approach. My user character is a Las Vegas mobster who is foul-mouthed and thinks the world owes him something. He is racist, sexist, and probably any other ist you can think of. Please, if you are easily offended turn back now. Otherwise, please remember this is just a character and in no way does it reflect my views or the views of Grey Dog Software. And with that... enjoy =)

For those of you who don’t know me, my name is Sam Montgomery. As in, Montgomery Hotel and Casino. As in, The Montgomery Family Mafia. As in, the baddest Mother F**ker in Nevada. Growing up I was always a fan of Professional Wrestling, the lights, the showmanship, the idea of good versus evil. I would watch old tapes of Rip Chord and Sam Strong beat the holy hell out of each other. I was in attendance during one of Nemesis’ bloodiest contests. I was hooked and couldn’t get enough. When I was a teenager news broke that a major wrestling organization was finally coming to Vegas. I couldn’t be more excited. I spent days on end searching the internet, hoping to find something, some gossip headline to give me an inkling of a clue what type of major show was coming to my hometown. Imagine my surprise when I learned it was F**king “Babes of Sin City”. Are you f**king kidding me? This wasn’t wrestling this was a bunch of hookers trying to make a few extra bucks because their oral skills were lacking, and yes I did know that from first hand experience. Needless to say no one was surprised when that sh*t show went under and those b**ches went back to the Bunny Ranch and their respective corners. Of course by this time they had tarnished the name of professional wrestling in Las Vegas and no one worth a damn would want to bring it back.

As for me, I went to work with my dad in the “family business”. Back then we had a string of “off the book” operations that needed someone to keep the books and make sure the money got washed. Before long I was bringing in millions of dollars a week and had a fleet of men all at my disposal (or if needed, a fleet of men who knew how to take care of a disposal). Of course, my love for wrestling never went away, but the days of believable street fights and bloody brawls were replaced by superheroes and wannabe musicians. That’s when the events leading up to this journal took place.

Dad had developed a ridiculous amount of money, and as a result, had all of Las Vegas in his pocket. Of course, like any good businessman, this simply wasn’t enough. He wanted more money, more power. In order to do that not only did he need to expand his reach, he would also need more “legitimate businesses”. That meant spending more time out of town and leaving the Las Vegas operations to his most trustworthy advisor… me, and the first thing he wanted me to do was to get a new legitimate business off the ground.

Of course, the decision was an easy one, I was going to bring wrestling back to Sin City! Not that bull sh** slutfest that used to be here, and sure as sh** not the garbage that SWF puts on every week. No, this was going to be real, it was going to keep the fans coming back for more. More violence, more blood, more sex, more, more, more! The infrastructure was easy, we owned a Goddamn city block with the largest hotel in the world. It only made sense to host the shows there. We could start with monthly shows, then quickly move into a weekly model. People from all over the world stayed at that hotel and it wouldn’t take much to fill the seats with a few promises of drinks and tits. All that was left to do was to find someone to keep the book. While I was confident I could handle it, I had way to much business sense to actually go through with it. What we needed was someone who knew the business, who had been around the block more than once. On top of that, we needed star power, a name that people who want to see, after all this was Vegas. After a few conversations with dad about the logistics of it all, he assured me he had the perfect man for the job. Someone who has been dealing with my family for years, someone who could come in and make an immediate splash in what was otherwise a fairly small regionally based company. All I had to do was sign the deal and Montgomery Hotel and Casino would be the new home of Sin City Wrestling!

Scott Sinclair, better known around the business as Big Smack Scott has been involved with my family for years. He’s bought every form of drug imaginable from us, not to mention he had a bit of a love for the ponies. Regardless, he was a name people knew due to his long stint with SWF and it just so happened that his contract was coming to an end. Why would Scott decide to head up the book in this company instead of sticking it out in the big times you ask? Well it’s simple really. See, Eisen runs a tight ship over at SWF. No drugs, no alcohol, you have to stay for the entire show, etc. Richard was on his way to making his company publicly traded and he couldn’t afford the bad press. But me, I couldn’t care less. Hell I even offered to throw in a dirty doctor, plus a call girl or two if Scott thought it would help the boys perform better. After he signed on the dotted line, all that was left was finding the rest of the roster.

Scott and I spent the better part of the rest of the month combing through profiles of Indy stars and who could help make a splash within the company. One person who caught my eye very early on was a man that goes by the name Donnie J. Donnie was the current champion at Coastal Zone Championship Wrestling. Another regional company that operates within our same region. Donnie had a decent look and above average mic skills. But what really drew me to him was his smoking hot girlfriend, Brittney Hollywood. Hollywood had all the makings of a star, and by making I mean I couldn’t wait to see what she looked like naked. The fact that she was married to a wrestler on the roster was merely just an added bonus to a game I was all to familiar with. Don’t get me wrong, I wasn’t born yesterday. I was all to aware that am I was looking to f**k her that means the rest of the 18-24 male demo would also want to and that meant more money for me.

Another interesting signing was a man by the name of Ash Campbell, for those of you who have been living under a f**king rock, that would be the son of legendary wrestler Nemesis. What made this signing interesting was the character that Scott wants Campbell to play, that of an extreme racist. It should generate a sh*t ton of heat and given his natural ability on the mic he should really be able to make the character his own. Of course, we haven’t told him that’s the character we want for him, but he’ll find out soon enough.

The rest of the roster was filled out with regular run of the mill indy stars and women who were good for nothing more than making the men in the audience cream their pants as they came out wearing next to nothing. All we had to do was finalize the contracts then we could start booking the first show of the year.

SCW: Hell on Earth

Montgomery Hotel and Casino (South West Region)

Attendance: 2,500 (Sold Out)

Main Show:

The dimly lit casino is packed from wall to wall with mostly drunk males who scored free tickets for listening to a timeshare pitch. Regardless, the crowd is rowdy and fired up anxious to see what this “new breed” of wrestling is all about.

Suddenly the spotlights flash and music blasts as Big Smack Scott walks through the curtains. He’s wearing a pinstripe suit and walks with a little more confidence than even he is used to. He stops just short of the ring when he spots an attractive young female audience member. He whispers something to her causing the girl to look insulted before throwing her drink in his face. Scott didn’t seem phased by this though as he simply laughed it off and walked into the ring.

Scott: “Now I know what all of you are thinking. Scott, why would you leave the life of luxury and fame to join such a sh** hole promotion in a sh** hole town!, ”

Of course this brought about the obvious boos from the crowd and Scott knew he already had them eating out of the palm of his hand.

Scott: “You see, some may call it destiny, others may say it was my calling, but me, I say…”

Before he can finish Alexander Clark’s music hits and he begins the slow walk to the ring mic in hand.

Clark: “I say, you took the easy way out, just like you always do. I say, you’re nothing but a little b**ch who can’t hang with the big time!”

The fans erupt in cheers, but Scott just takes it all in stride, smiling all the way.

Scott: “I’m the b**ch? Let me get this straight, you with your curly hair and cute little eyebrow piercing is calling me a b**ch? Maybe, I just know a good thing when I see it. Maybe, I liked my odds down here a little better?”

By now the two men are nose to nose as the crowd’s anxiety grows.

Clark: “Let me guess, you called in a few favors? Got some of “your boys” to pull a few strings and make sure you stay on top down here? Well I hate to break it to ya Scotty, but I don’t give a damn what they say. See, I don’t play by their rules.”

Just as it looks like these two men may come to blows the familiar music of Donnie J hits, not that anyone noticed him. Instead their eyes were glued to his manager Britney Hollywood letting the world know that it was indeed a bit chilly in the arena, but yet, no one seemed to mind.

Donnie: "Gentlemen, gentlemen, there’s no need to fight. We all know how tonights battle royal is going to go.” He points his finger to Scott. “You’re going to say you’re the smartest.” then to Clark “and you’re going to say you’re the baddest. All the while it’s going to be me getting my hands raised in victory and being crowned the new champion!”

Scott and Clark stop staring at Hollywood then look at each other confused, then back to Donnie.

Scott: “Sorry little man, did you say something?”

Donnie gives a mocking laugh before blasting Scott in the face with the microphone leading to an all out brawl between the 3 men.

Notes: None

Remmy Skye and Austin Smooth

This match was designed to get the crowd nice and worked up to get the show started the right way. In order to accomplish this, we told Remmy to really take to the sky and leave the fans in awe. Austin was a local jobber just looking for work so he had no problem being the one looking up at the lights when the 3 count was made.

In a bout that had decent wrestling but didn't have much heat, Remmy Skye defeated Austin Smooth in 10:19 by pinfall with a Skye Diver.

Rating: D+

After the match, the team of Jake Idol and Jackpot Jordan, better known as Rich and Famous come to the ring. They immediately start bad mouthing the city of Las Vegas and how dirty everything is. Jordan says he can’t wait to get on his private jet back to Beverly Hills where there’s some actual class. They are then interrupted by the Latino Kings who don’t take kindly to outsiders talking trash about their territory. Security officials are able to break it up though before any punches are thrown and the men are told to save it for later in the ring.

Daredevil Aero Vs. Dean McWade

The next match of the night was designed to just get Daredevil Aero some exposure. He attempted to use his quickness and aerial abilities to his advantage against the much larger McWade, however he quickly learned just how far out of his element he was. Instead, the crowd was treated to an absolute pummeling of the youngster before McWade got tired of toying with him and finished him off for the easy victory.

In a bout that didn't have much heat and terrible wrestling, Dean McWade defeated Daredevil Aero in 8:35 by pinfall with a Canadian Lariat.

After the match, the crowd looked like they were starting to get restless so we used this time to Allison Addison out wearing nothing but a tiny bra and thong. The crowd instantly came to life as she bent over for far too long to pick up t-shirts and launch them into the crowd.

Rating: C+

Rich and Famous Vs. The Latino Kings Vs. Joey Poison and Fro Sure

This was easily the best match of the night so far. It mainly featured Rich and Famous and The Latino Kings laying waste to one another. Poison and Fro Sure couldn’t seem to find their chemistry as a team and due to that was largely left out of the match. They participation was important though as they were able to take the loss and keep the other 2 teams in the bout looking strong.

In a poor match, Rich And Famous defeated The Latino Kings and Joey Poison and Fro Sure in 11:17; by pinning Joey Poison.

Rating: D

The next segment was supposed to be Peter Gold hyping himself for the upcoming Battle Royal. Instead, he staggered out to the ring starting talking about his dead mother and how much he loved his 3 cats. Things just got worse from there when a college kid in the front row called him a pu**y! Even though the kid was at least 100 feet away, Peter decided to take a swing at him and just fall flat on his face. Luckily, everyone else in the audience was drunk so they all seemed to be way too into it. Suffice to say, I’m pretty sure he was sh*t faced, and probably should have been seen home. I need to have a long conversation with Captain USA. He should have a better handle on these things.

SCW Championship 10 Man Timed Entry Battle Royal

Notes from the Battle Royal

Ash Campbell started the Rumble at number 1 and lasted 15 minutes. He made it into the final 5 before being eliminated by Clark Alexander.

Puerto Rican Power entered number 5 and eliminated 8 other competitors. This was the most of anyone. He was eventually eliminated by Peter Gold.

Donnie J won the match eliminating Big Smack Scott after Scott became distracted by a wardrobe malfunction Britney Hollywood had (The crowd was also distracted as her entire top got ripped off accidentally by Peter Gold being eliminated and flailing his arms in a drunken fit.)

In a decent match, Donnie J won a battle royal in 20:14. The other members of the 'final four' were Big Smack Scott, Peter Gold and Clark Alexander, with Big Smack Scott being the final elimination. Puerto Rican Power got the most eliminations over the course of the match; Ash Campbell set the record for surviving the longest. Donnie J wins the SCW Championship title.

O.O.C. Thanks to everyone who has read up to this point. My next show will involve pictures. I really wanted to get them up for this show to help break up all the text, but I kept not getting to it and I really wanted to get the first show up. With that said, let me know your thoughts =)
