Global Championship Wresling 2018: 3 Dudes With Attitudes - The New Generation

*Three lifelong wrestling fans, Donnie, Tom, and Brad, famously known as the Three Dudes With Attitudes, garnered their fame through social media platforms, specifically through their YouTube page and podcast. They are known for their videos and podcasts on everything wrestling, blending humor and honesty into their views on current day wrestling, and from the era they grew up in, the mid-1990's. These three men known as Dude Donnie, Dude Tom, and Dude "Harry" are also more importantly, family. With the success and growth of the Three Dudes With Attitudes brand, there also came the financial gains with it. The Three Dudes were hitting on all strides, when one night they were sitting down having a few cold ones after a podcast recording, and it suddenly came to them.*

Dude Tom: Now listen, I have an idea that seems crazy. Why don't we start our own wrestling promotion? Why not get into the one thing that has consumed us since we were children? Let's start our own wrestling company!

Dude Harry: Love it. Let's do it!

Dude Donnie: Sounds good, but if we are going to do it we need to have structure.

Dude Harry: And a ring!

Dude Tom: Yes Harry, and a ring. Good thing is I have been searching the past few months and have found some places that will make us custom made rings, aprons, all of the necessities. I can referee in the beginning to cut costs. Mine as well put that training I got to use until we get off of our feet.

Dude Donnie: What about Mayo, will he do our music you think?

Dude Harry: I will help out with in the music department too. Hell I've been in the music industry for ten plus years now.

Dude Tom: Yeah I'm sure he will. I will give him a call later.

Dude Donnie: So we are really doing this? We're starting a wrestling company?

*The Three Dudes With Attitudes are finishing up on the editing of their latest video for their YouTube page. They clap and laugh as the finishing touches are completed. The newest video is the latest of a series of videos that follow the Dudes as they go on the hunt to start up their newest venture... a professional wrestling company!*

Dude Tom: Donnie, nice job again. Looks like we can use your abilities for now to edit our shows. I have an update on Mayo. He said his band is in along with Brad to do our music.

Dude Harry: Yeah we actually started working on some things already for the first show.

Dude Donnie: Sounds good, looks like we are coming along here. I guess what we need now is a name.

Dude Harry: CCW! CCW! CCW! Crappy Championship Wrestling!

Dude Tom: Brad, we aren't naming our promotion after our fictional YouTube promotion. We need a name that is going to be recognized and taken seriously.

Dude Donnie: I actually attempted to contact Billy Corgan and Dave Lagana through Twitter about joining in on the NWA. I suggested the NWA: NY, or possibly NWA: LA based promotions.

Dude Harry: Damn dude, that's awesome. What did they say?

Dude Donnie: Bad news, they liked the idea, but the demands and creative freedom was just too constrictive to want to be apart of it. They would want to use us as feeder system more or less. But damn do I like the NWA World Heavyweight Title.

Dude Tom: Yeah screw that. I have actually been looking along with the rings, I've been looking at custom made belt makers. So what are we thinking? No, NWA... No CCW. What are we going to be called?

Dude Donnie: I've always liked World Championship Wrestling. The ability to market championship wrestling is undeniable. How do you guys feel about Global Championship Wrestling?

Dude Tom: Nice! I like it. Time to get to work boys. Colors, logos, aprons, titles, music, this is the checklist.

Dude Harry: On it! Let's do this!

Tom eventually puts down the phone, as the other guys stop what they are doing.* Dude Tom: Boys, I have secured the ring! Four sided like we wanted, and it will be custom made and be available in a couple weeks. Where else are we at now? Dude Harry: Myself along with Mayo have started to record and mix our theme song for the first show. It should be perfected by the end of the week. Dude Donnie: Awesome, I got meetings finalized for production companies that will handle television, streaming, and/or PPV carriers. Which ever way we decide to go. Production will include a professional set, along with video screens, quality ring barriers, and a sweet looking entrance way. Everything will be custom, and videos will be professional edited. This ultimately will be a better route taken over the cheaper iPhone/iPad routes we were going to go. We have to spend a little money in the beginning, to make some money in the long run. We will also have a crew on hand to ensure shows will be shot at the right angles, and editing of shows will mean DVD’s, Blu-Ray's, and/or streaming services will come along quicker for release. Dude Harry: Nice dude. I'm going to head off to Mayo's studio and finish up on the final touches. *Dude Harry takes off as Donnie and Tom continue to talk.* Dude Tom: Later Harry! Don, where are we at with insurance and attorneys set up? We need all this stuff finalized before we start extending offers to the wrestlers and staff. We just booked a couple months of buildings out after we hired our representation, and damn neither was cheap. Dude Harry: No doubt. And how expensive are we talking? You guys said to put a wish list together for a roster. Are we including women division into the mix as well. Because I'm not familiar with the women on the circuits right now. They look over each others lists and start discussing each other names. They laugh and point at each others list, and occasionally come onto agreement on others. I have booked the venues, Mayo has finished the theme song for our first event... Dude Harry: GCW...RAGE! Dude Donnie: Love it. Lots of names boys. So are we going to stream, DVD's, Blu-Ray's, PPV? Have we set anything up? Dude Harry: I don't mean to cut you off. But I got the merchandise end handled, we will have shirts available for debut show at the venue, and through ProWrestlingTees. Dude Tom: Nice work Harry. And I thought we were in agreement we will be selling these first couple events through DVD and Blu-Ray at first and stream bits through YouTube. Dude Donnie: Okay, and what about the names? Are we going to do some serious signings to get as much footage as possible? Are we still sticking with meet and greets with legends? And see if they wanted to come onto the new GCW Podcast? Dude Harry: I think that's the best option. Dude Tom: Going to be expensive at first, hopefully we make it back. Not worried in the beginning though. Let's make a name for ourselves and make a bang! Just like our first entertainment venture. I know we can do it. We have meetings set up after next month with TV and Pay-Per-View Executives. So we need to put our best foot forward here. Dude Donnie: Agreed. So lets go through what we have so far. Matt Sydal contract negotiations ended because Sydal only wants to work TV or big show events. We can always revisit Sydal at a later date. RVD asked for similar deal too… Dude Harry: I don’t care what it takes Rob Van Dam is the only guy I ask to be on our first event. Plus he has already agreed to the meet and greets, and doing the GCW Podcast. Dude Donnie: Alright dude, if that’s what you want then consider it done. Dude Harry: Thanks dude. Dude Donnie: No problem. Another big name is Ryback, but his price tag is along the line’s of RVD, so what are we thinking. Dude Tom: I say not a chance, we have plenty of big men out there right now, and with the right price tag they can probably bring us better value. Dude Harry: Agreed. All the Dudes look wired as they are all working at their own respective areas.* Dude Tom: We have a couple venues lined up for our first show. Hammerstein Ballroom in New York City, Hynes Athletic Center in New Rochelle, New York, First Arena in Elmira, New York, and Hagan Arena in Philly. Dude Harry: Tough choices. All of them are available? Because it would be nice to stay in the New York area, but Philly has some nice wrestling history. And you know those fans will come out in droves with the talent we should have lined up. Dude Tom: Yeah they are all available for the dates we have lined up potentially for our first show I believe. Dude Donnie: I say Hammerstein. What better way to start off but with a rabid crowd to make it feel like we are here and we are for real. Dude Tom: We are in agreement for Hammerstein then? Dude Harry: Yup, absolutely agreed. Dude Tom: I’ll give them a call now and give them the dates we were thinking for the show. Dude Donnie: Good, but before you do can we agree we need to set up announcers for the show. We are in agreement about putting it out on DVD, Blu-Ray, and through either PPV or YouTube. So I have put feelers out for Jim Ross and Joey Styles for announcing duties. Dude Harry: Wow , that’s huge. Are they really available? Dude Tom: Are they really the right price tag too? Dude Donnie: Obviously this is something we have to find out, but we need to look professional if we are going to look like a viable option. Also backstage interviewer spots need to be addressed through try outs hopefully in the near future. Can someone put something out for those try outs please. Dude Harry: On it. What about color commentators? Dude Tom: Possibly one of us goes into the booth, but I have also had our lawyers reach out to Raven, Colt Cabana, and Taz. Dude Harry: Wow, imagine Joey Styles and Taz back together? Dude Tom: Only problem is will it seem to WWE ECW like? Our do we want to make out own feel? Dude Donnie: True bro. I will extend feelers out for a variety of indy commentators too. Maybe they can blend with veterans like Ross and Styles. Now what are the thoughts on Authority Figures? Passé or keeps the showing flowing with a figure head? Dude Harry: Eric Bischoff or Vince Russo available? Dude Tom: Dude are you serious? So hopefully they will be signed by the end of the next week, and then we can send out our press release for our first show. Dude Tom: Good the venue is booked for Hammerstein Ballroom, and we have the insurance and medical all covered. Dude Harry: Nice. Did we decide where people can find the show, and where its gong to be sold? I have the merchandise set and ready to go for ProWrestlingTees. We also have a meeting set up through other merchandise revenues too like action figures and our own magazine possibly. Dude Donnie: Perfect and yes we also have a few meeting set up with a couple TV companies, along with PPV companies. But our leading source will probably be selling it through YouTube , Blu-Ray, and DVD's. Dude Tom: Yeah that should work, we also have the production crew all set up and ready to roll as well. I also have a crew of guys set up for security and helping running the gates at the show to make sure everything at the Hammerstein goes smooth. Dude Harry: We're we planning on doing live music there or holding off for a future show down the road? Dude Tom: Probably need some time to figure out where we are at that end. Mayo should be flexible on his availability for this. Dude Donnie: Okay, well we need to reconfigure our pages on social media here. *Wednesday, February 7th, 2018, GCW has finally started to shape there roster and there future moving forward. What is next for The Dudes as they continue to make head way into the world of professional wrestling.*

Dude Donnie: I'll start with some bad news so we can end on another high note today. Tyler Rekks and Torrie Wilson have both rejected our contract offers. They both said cited the fact they want to remain out of the wrestling business.

Dude Tom: Oh well that would seem like bad news, unless you have in my hands the names that are signed on for our first event. GCW is officially the home of the following names, Matt Riddle. Bro do I even need to continue? Rey Fenix, Penta el Zero M, Paul London, Colt Cabana. I might add that Colt has agreed to do double duty between commentary and in ring action.

Dude Harry: It gets better Don. We also signed this morning, Flip Gordon, Jeff Cobb, who yes recently broke his nose at Lucha Underground tapings, but it doesn't seem to be affecting him.

Dude Tom: And certainly lets not forget about Shane Gregory Helms and The Amazing Red!

Dude Donnie: Looks like we had a successful day boys. Our roster is starting to fill out nicely. What about the staff end with agents and referees?

Dude Tom: We have a few offers for agents on the table, but I will be heading up the officiating for the debut show. We also have offers sent out for Brian Hebner, Jack Doan, Garry Morere, and Frank Gastineau.

Dude Harry: I'm sure you could handle all of the officiating duties, and do an amazing job at it bro. But I guess it would be nice to have more help all around.

Dude Donnie: Alright, today was a good day but we still have plenty of holes to fill. And we certainly have a whole hell out of a lot of maneuvering to be done before the first show. So lets get back to the grind and get this show on the road.

*Thursday, February 8th, 2018, GCW has had a rocky road couple days. What is in store for The Dudes as they continue to stride towards their first show.*

Dude Donnie: Just got off the phone with the banks, and they have informed us they will be backing us for the venture. So we have the additional capitol to set up the production team we need for the first show. Anyone else have some news for me. And if it's bad just never mind with that, today is a good day.

Dude Harry: Good news for sure. We have signed The Homicidal, Genocidal, Suicidal ...Sabu! We are going to give the Hammerstein a nice trip down memory lane. And he has agreed to not only wrestle but be apart of the meet and greet before hand.

Dude Tom: Dude, that is sick! Sabu is a damn legend. But I have probably even bigger news. Juts got off the phone and we have a signed contract with our new lead announcer, Joey Styles! Hammerstein wants nostalgia? They are going to get it, plus we have our lead announcer going forward!

Dude Donnie: Nice work guys. You want to add the icing on the cake? We just added the recently released, Konnan! And he's agreed to meet and greet and to shoot an interview. And he said he's prepared to say everything and anything he wants. Tis could get nuts and really create some buzz for us.

Dude Tom: That's crazy. Okay, well the names are finally coming in along with the young talent so we're off to a good start. Big weekend for us though, so lets get back to it, and remember Harry, Lash Leroux said he's not interested so leave him alone

*Monday, February 12th, 2018, this past weekend was a big one for professional wrestling. EVOLVE signed ROH World Champion Dalton Castle, and Ken Anderson aka Mr Anderson in WWE. Shine and Shimmer have brought in Eric Bischoff to help them behind the scenes. But perhaps the most talked about news was PWG's signing of the controversial, Jim Cornette. Wrestlers are already showing their displeasure of the signing, so time will tell how that relationship will turn out.*

Dude Donnie: Guys did you see that New Japan show last night? Every match was awesome, but Takahashi beating Jay White for the United States title is being praised by Dave Meltzer for a reason.

Dude Tom: I don't know dude, Meltzer praises everything New Japan. I have bigger news though.

Dude Harry: Yeah, I'm more of a Wade Keller guy myself.

Dude Tom: Haha, you would be Harry. Lets run down our signed talents this past weekend. Dude Tom: Good, and I know his deal had some caveats but we got you your guy for the show Harry. We also lined up Lance Storm who will be apart of the legend meet and greet, but will also serve as our agent for the show. And Shane Douglas has signed on for the meet and greet, and will also, listen to this, serve as our backstage and in-ring interviewer.

Dude Donnie: That's crazy. We need to set up packages for the meet and greet, and make sure this thing is huge. Also the date is set for the show so we need to start setting up travel for these guys. Now on the women's side we have signed Brooke Adams, Lisa Marie Varon, Melina Perez, Tracy Brooks, Rain, and Taya Valkyrie! This weekend as you guys know, I took a trip to the Shine show, and damn the women are freaking talented. I know we were looking at names to start the division when we finally do, but I think we are going to need to bring some of these girls in.

Dude Harry: Sick, let us know who we should be looking out for. I'll be YouTubing all day.

Dude Tom: Harry, are you in the women's scene now or what?

Dude Harry: I mean I don't know if I'm all in here but I saw some things that have caught my eye for sure.

Dude Donnie: Alright Harry, do what you do best and look out for some talent for us. And Tom please get a hold of your referee contacts. We are so close and I want to send out the press release by the end of this week.

Dude Tom: Sounds good. I actually have contracts ready to go for Frank Gastineau, Brian Hebner, Jack Doan, and Garry Morere.

Dude Donnie: I'll leave that decision up to you, pick two and we will officially set in the announcing an referee crews.

*Tuesday, February 13th, 2018, Lucha Underground has signed longtime TNA Commentator, Don West, WWE RAW had a decent effort with Bray Wyatt defeating Bo Dallas, and "Woken" Matt Hardy defeating The Miz in the Main Event. The Dudes are in the GCW warehouse where they have a bunch of boxes stacked up. Dude Harry walks over to the boxes and opens one and unveils a Global Championship Wrestling shirt*

Dude Harry: They are finally here boys! We finally have our very own merchandise. We have agreed to keep the shipments to ProWrestlingTees conservative, but I got more boxes for the Rage show, so we can sell them at the building.

Dude Tom: They look sick, nice job on the design Harry. I think we should definitely be moving a bunch of these. And hell if we don't off the bat at least we kept it conservative. And if it does then the demand drives them and we have more buzz.

Dude Donnie: Good thinking. So Tom have you decides who we will be bringing in as our referees?

Dude Tom: Yeah I informed Brian Hebner and Garry Morere we will be bringing them in for our debut show. And have also let Jack Doan and Frank Gastineau know that we will not be using them for the first show but will be keeping them in mind for the future.

Dude Harry: Nice, its a tough job making these decisions but I think you definitely made the right one's on this end.

Dude Donnie: Agreed, nice job bro.

Dude Tom: Thanks, it was tough because every single one of them have talent. But also Mayo has officially signed his contract, and To Your Scattered Bodies are GCW intellect.

Dude Donnie: Oh damn I almost forgot over Harry's excitement for the shipment. We officially have our production team set up and ready to go. Ready for this one? Ron Harris is the leading guy for this team. Did you know he got into the side of the business? His team does really awesome work, and it looks professional as hell. No more iPhones or iPads! Also get your best suites ready. We have meetings set with big time TV and PPV carriers, so we need to look the part.

I don't know what that means when it comes to if we want to still engage in talks for a working agreement or not anymore. What do you guys think? Dude Tom: I mean you are more into the lucha libre end on this, so I couldn't really give you an answer on that either way. Dude Harry: Yeah, I mean I don't really understand what's going on when I'm watching the show. So I would to defer to what CMLL has to even offer at this point. Dude Tom: So ROH signed Josh Barnett to replace Colt Cabana as their Color Commentator. Looks like they panicked and took away Colt's spot. So as I see it Colt is now our main commentator along with Joey Styles. EVOLVE has signed Tom Pritchard as their agent, and Low-Ki, who we also have signed as of yesterday. Any word on what his availability will be for us now? Dude Harry: I was given the impression he would be willing to work for us first before them. Also I just received signed contract for Harry Smith, who has said given enough advance would be available when necessary, especially after the angle we have forwarded to him apparently really stocked his creative fire. Dude Donnie: Nice job Tom, that one was all on you bro. Alright well we have meeting official for TV networks on Monday the 19th, and with PPV providers on Tuesday the 20th. Any word on Jay Briscoe's status by the way? Heard he had a nasty accident last night at New Japan World Pro show. Dude Harry: Yeah the word is El Desperado botched a move and broke Jay's Ulna. Early reports have him out of action for a couple months if surgery is needed. So it looks like The Briscoes are not available so contracts won't need to be sent out. Dude Tom: That's terrible, seems like a lot of injuries coming of Japan recently. The Dudes are in tow with lawyers as they head into the first round of meeting of the day. During the weekend in wrestling around the world, Tammy Lynn Sytch fresh out of jail has signed a deal with ROH. Tully Blanchard has signed on as an agent for Shine and Shimmer, where coincidentally or not, his daughter Tessa Blanchard is contracted to. NXT at Full Sail had a network special which seeped decent praise, especially for the Main Event which saw Cien Andrade Almas retain the NXT Title over Kyle O'Reilley. PWG Bowie 2018 saw new Tag Team Champions crowned, as the newly formed team of Zack Sabre Jr and Sami Callihan defeated The Chosen Bros of Matt Riddle and Jeff Cobb. WWE Elimination Chamber at Tropicana Field had a decent offering as The Usos retained the WWE SD! Live Tag Team titles by defeating Breezango, Charlotte retain her WWE SD! Women's Title by defeating Natalya and Carmella, and AJ Styles defeated Dolph Ziggler to retain the WWE Championship. But the biggest news of the weekend came at NJPW New Japan Cup 2018 Tour, when Tetsuya Naito defeated Kenny Omega in the first 5 star match of the year according to Dave Meltzer. Every news outlet is raving this as the MOTY leading candidate as of this date, and the buzz has the wrestling world rocking. After a full day of meeting The Dudes finally head to their hotel where they begin to go over the day.* Dude Harry: Man I'm burnt. That was absolute insanity. I don't how we are going to go through all this again tomorrow. Dude Tom: Overall some good and some bad. I don't know about you guys but I could feel right off the bat what these executives thought about wrestling. I don't even know why a third of them even agreed to the meeting. But after a wild brawl and decent contest between the two men, Dalton comes out victorious retaining the ROH Title to the surprise of the fans at the Retriever Activity Center in Catonsville, Maryland.* Dude Harry: Whoa! Didn't see that coming. I guess it means WWE and ROH must really be working together. Dude Donnie: Yeah which means we are on an even more difficult road here. Oh damn, did you guys just see the report coming out of yesterday's New Japan Cup Tour? Dude Harry: Nah, haven't seen anything, what's up? Dude Tom: Yeah I saw that style is too insane for the schedule they have right now. Harry, Gedo their own booker has a broken breastbone and will be out for a few months.
