Of course, I did use real life names for some of the teams. It was a lot of fun putting it all together. Sami and Nikki? Kingston and Kai? Johnny and Natalya? Ambrose and Deeb? Jey and Bel Air? Rousey and Elias? Harper and Eerie? Changes id make... 1. Almas and Zelina 2. Dolph and Nikki 3. Bryan and Brie(assuming she is still active. If Nikki is Brie should be) 4. Johnny Gargano and Candice La Rae 5. Miz and Maryse 6. Jey Uso and Sasha Banks 7. TheRyanLee Posted May 14, 2018 Author Share Posted May 14, 2018 <p>The 1st round of the Mixed Match Challenge is under way! </p><p> </p><p> The GameBreakers moved on after Mia Yim used the ropes for leverage to pin Ember Moon. </p><p> </p><p> The Authority punched their ticket to the next round after destroying BreezeBorne. Triple H and Stephanie McMahon dominated the match and showed some awesome chemistry tagging together. </p><p> </p><p> MsChif and The Viper lost to Jimmy Uso and his wife Naomi. It was a strong showing for the married couple. </p><p> </p><p> Rusev Day picked up the victory over Buzzkill when Lana superkicked Sarah Logan and pinned her. The Rusev Day celebration will continue into the next round.</p><p> </p><p> Yukan'na Tandemu stole the show with O-H! I-O! in a fantastic thrilling encounter. Asuka put O-H! I-O! away with a victory via the Asuka Lock over Io Shirai aka Sunkiss. </p><p> </p><p> In a match that quickly became a brawl, The Dean Serene ousted The Urban Bourbon after Ambrose put Jey Uso away with Dirty Deeds. The Dean Serene will take their stiff brutal approach into round two. </p><p> </p><p> Not too many thought Sami Zayn and Nikki Bella would make a good team. Well, in a shocking twist, The Sami & Nikki Show came out the gate with great chemistry and precision. It looked like they had been teaming together for years. They used their incredible teamwork and a few dastardly tactics to defeat the fan beloved Team Kofi-Kota. TheRyanLee Posted May 15, 2018 Author Share Posted May 15, 2018 <p>The first round rolls on in the 2019 WWE Mixed Match Challenge... </p><p> </p><p> The World's Cutest Tag Team shattered the hearts of Shattered Hearts when SmackDown Women's Champion Candice LeRae pinned Natalya for the victory. The World's Cutest Tag Team will face The Sami & Nikki Show in the next round. </p><p> </p><p> The Woken Hardys ran into some trouble when Harpeerie managed to defeat them via cheating. Harper and Christina Von Eerie are proving to be the strangest duo in the tournament. </p><p> </p><p> Daniel Bryan and Sasha Banks put on a real show with The Omega Riott. In the end, Sasha Banks beat Ruby Riott with the Bank Statement. Bryan and Banks will challenge Jimmy and Naomi in the second round. </p><p> </p><p> You Can't See Us advance to the next round with ease after beating English Rose. The match was heavily one-sided and dominated by John Cena and Mickie James. They will face GameBreakers in round two. </p><p> </p><p> Haus of Darkness faced off against Talk is Cheap in a classic tag team battle. HoD picked up the victory after Paige defeated Nikki Cross in underhanded heel fashion by using the ropes as leverage. HoD will face Rusev Day next. An interesting takeaway from this match was the excellent chemistry on display from Chad Gable and Nikki Cross. </p><p> </p><p> It was a valiant effort from The Rhodes of Destiny but it ended up not being enough against The Ass-Kickers. Becky and Cesaro are moving on.</p><p> </p><p> The Robe Warriors dispatched J-Li without too much trouble. Roode and Charlotte make a pretty formidable team. They will be facing off against The Ass-Kickers in round two. Mike and Maria Kanellis struggled right from the start and displayed zero chemistry as tag partners. The Rock finished Mike Kanellis off with the People's Elbow. Club Vega put up a good fight against The Headliners, but Ronda Rousey and Elias proved to be too strong of a tandem. Ronda tapped India Sioux out, despite Zelina Vega's constant interference. The second round kicked off with The Sami & Nikki Show going to head to head with the World's Cutest Tag Team. The match turned out to be very entertaining. Sami Zayn put Joey Ryan away with a Helluva Kick for the win. Sami & Nikki continued to display awesome chemistry and they are the first team into the third round. Aleister Black used a steel chair on Rusev when the ref's back was turned. Then he hit Rusev with Black Mass and it was all over. </p><p> </p><p> The Ass-Kickers picked up the win against the Robe Warriors after Becky Lynch pulled the tights on Charlotte for the roll-up pin. This was a fantastic back and forth match. </p><p> </p><p> Daniel Bryan and Sasha Banks scored the victory over Jimmy and Naomi. Banks finished Naomi off with the Bank Statement. </p><p> </p><p> The hard striking duo of Hideo Itami and Asuka finally met their match after The Authority used dastardly tactics to beat them. Triple H caught Itami with the sledgehammer when the ref was knocked out. He then proceeded to pedigree Itami twice and cover him for the pin as the ref regained consciousness. Yukan'na Tandemu is no more. </p><p> </p><p> The People's Dynasty continued their trek into the next round with a cool victory over The Dean Serene. </p><p> </p><p> The Headliners overcame Harpeerie when Ronda Rousey made Christina Von Eerie tap out to a kimura. </p><p> </p><p> What will happen in Round 3? Only 8 teams remain... Cena kicked out of Black Mass in typical Super Cena fashion and ultimately defeated Aleister Black with an AA off the top turnbuckle. You Can't See Us has made it to the final four. </p><p> </p><p> Bryan & Banks vs. The Ass-Kickers was a true classic.. the best match of the tournament so far. Daniel Bryan made Cesaro tap out to the Yes Lock. Bryan & Banks will face off against You Can't See Us in the final four. </p><p> </p><p> The Sami & Nikki Show ran into the roadblock of The Authority. Triple H low-blowed Sami with the sledgehammer as Steph distracted the ref. One pedigree later and it was all over. The Authority have punched their ticket into the final four. </p><p> </p><p> The People's Dynasty vs. The Headliners was jam-packed with as much star power as action. Ronda and Elias were holding their own for most of the match, but Elias got into trouble towards the end. As he tried to make the hot tag to Ronda, something shocking happened. Brock Lesnar came from out of nowhere and ripped Ronda down off the apron. Then he disappeared back through the crowd. Elias was left with no partner to tag.. and The Rock took advantage and Rock Bottomed him for the win. The People's Dynasty were victorious over The Authority in a thrilling chaotic encounter that stole the show. The Rock got HHH with his own sledgehammer and then put him away with a Rock Bottom. The People's Dynasty have made it through to the final! Bryan & Banks vs. You Can't See Us turned out to be the highest rated match in the tourney so far (B+/88). It was a true classic that was awesome to watch from start to finish. After 26 hard fought minutes, Sasha Banks managed to tap Mickie James out to the Bank Statement. Bryan & Banks will face off against The People's Dynasty in the final! The tournament isn't over just yet for You Can't See Us and The Authority. The two teams will battle each other in the Third Place Bronze match. Stay tuned for the Final Round.. Bryan & Banks defeated The People's Dynasty in a fantastic match (B+/88). It was the perfect way to cap off an awesome tournament. Sasha Banks continued her roll when she made Nia Jax tap out to the Bank Statement around the 23-minute mark. This is the first time Bryan & Banks have won the Mixed Match Challenge. Will they return next year to defend their title? In the Bronze Match, You Can't See Us put The Authority down for good. Mickie James scored the pinfall on Stephanie McMahon while Cena made sure Triple H couldn't interfere. All in all, it was a good showing in the tournament by both teams.
