iamainnocentkid
How should i go about the finances? I am currently running ECW in 1997 and i am losing around 30k every month with 4 shows and 1 event a month. Should i reduce that? Also, should i keep my shows in other places as well? Please give me some tips.
StarsOverStalingrad
Release some people on pay per appearances with big downside agreements, try to find shows with more coverage, better time slots, try joining a alliance or making a alliance so you can get cash from another company. Look into what venues you are booking so you're not overspending, drop your production level. Run shows with only your very best workers to make sure ratings are as best as they can be. Example: I ran a WCW in late 2000 and for a while I did it where if you weren't a Great or Excellent level worker, you didn't get a match and if you weren't a draw or great on the mic you probably didn't to be on the show. Matt_Black
Look at the Region's importance and it's spillover. Also, check if any TV networks broadcast in that area and, if so, what it would require to get a deal. For instance. Running a Regional company that's based in, say, the Maritimes is a lot different from running one that's in Northern Mexico.

If you run somewhere else you'll be speeding up the financial decline. Roughly how much cash do you have at the moment?
StarsOverStalingrad
Also you should try running more events per month depending on how bad your downside guarantees are, just try to avoid using your most expensive workers when you do so. Matt_Black
Unless you're in a very low importance Region (and since you mentioned ECW, I'm assuming you're in the Tri-State area, which is NOT low importance) and the economy & wrestling industry aren't crap, you'll be fine running weekly events in your home region. I've played Regional companies with no TV and much lower starting money and can easily profit several million by the end of the year. (Assuming you haven't splurged on production values to excess). James Casey
Yep, weekly shows mainly using your undercard for 75% of the matches and a couple of bigger names up top to pop the show rating.

Regional can be incredbly hard as you're likely competing against a lot of other feds with wildly varying production levels, so even if you put on a good show you can get punished for looking worse than the others (and, hey, what was one of the things that did for ECW in real life again?)

However, focus on your core region, run weekly, rotate your main event guys so they all grow in popularity without anyone being overexposed (and therefore poached by the big guys) and you'll start to make more money from attendance, which'll mean you can start to adjust your production levels, which'll mean your shows get better ratings, which will make your popularity grow quicker, which means your attendance will grow, which means...

Assuming your ECW is hardcore/cult heavy, sponsors won't want to touch that with a long bargepole. That's going to hurt your money-making potential, and it'll make getting TV more difficult down the road. However, those are far-off concerns. You have quite enough of a bank roll to power through on weekly shows and eventually make a profit, i think - just remember to spam your undercard, because booking RVD/Sabu/Douglas every week will drain your reserves quickly.
Matt_Black
Another thing- I'll sometimes turn off things like Production Effects or Industry/ Economy effects if I'm playing a company that's Regional or lower, as sometimes that's just brutal.

The other thing? Depending on the other companies in the country, you might want to look at joining or starting an alliance, especially if you're only going to run 1 or 2 shows a month. The "not taking damage from Regional Battles with other members" is a godsend in that case. If you are doing weekly shows, you really shouldn't need it, BUT if you want to keep other companies from not going out of business (I do, as that means more workers get hired and get better and that improves the industry as a whole), then you still might want to join an Alliance.
Gungner
The problem with running shows outside your home region, is that it will cost you money. In my home region, I can expect 1000 people, everywhere else it's between 200 and 400 people.
Matt_Black
But, if you've been diligent about running shows in your home region, you'll have plenty of money. For instance, I started up a new AAA game, starting funds of $250k. We just entered June 2016 and I'm now sitting at $785k. And that's with production values increased to match rivals and all the backstage perks on.

I remember playing AAA and finally hitting Cult. "Ah, now I can keep my girls on Written contracts and can run house shows. Let's see what sort of TV deals I can get?" I quick check of U.S. broadcasters was followed by a short burst of profanity and then a long, tired sigh.
