Drop Kix vs Devyn Retribution

4th of July match</div>

Drop Kix makes his entrance with the flag wrapped around his forehead and saluting like a soldier to a hail of boos, but at least he gets some sort of reaction. While Devyn Retribution makes his own entrance, the ring announcer explains the match stipulation; essentially, the ring is rigged with explosives and whoever manages to drop their opponent on them hard enough to activate them, wins the match. Given the setup, fans get quite excited for a match otherwise featuring of the roster's lowest ranking members and Drop Kix has a good reason to pull off all his gymnast moves as he rolls and flips and tumbles around, bouncing off the ropes to come at his opponent from all angles. Devyn Retribution manages to put the brakes more than once thanks to his resilience and well-rounded fighting style, but Drop Kix always manages to evade his final big move and resume the offensive, until a well-scouted crossbody has Devyn catch Kix on the apron to set up the Devyn Plex (Face First Suplex) onto a box of fireworks outside the ring.

Falls Count Anywhere match</div>

The match stipulation is basically a green light for both competitors to take their crazy aerial moves outside the ring and they do just that, taking the fight to the crowd and jumping onto each other from anything they can climb up onto. The high flying equivalent of a wild brawl into the crowd stands, the match sees crazy spot after crazy spot in an absolute car crash of a match, full of spectacle but devoid of any actual flow or psychology. Still, JOJI does manage to pull of some actual wrestling moves, whereas Top Dolla struggles to keep up with his opponent's blistering pace and only manages to fire back during certain big spots. Backed into a corner, the Fred Durst look-alike puts it all on the line and goes for another one of his signature suicide dives off the balcony, but once again he comes up empty and crashes hard, providing his opponent with enough time to hit the JOJI Miracle Explosion (Explosion Suplex into a pin) to win the match.

Soon as the match is over, the GSW West Coast champion E-Soteric comes out. Cindy is by his side and wearing a rather revealing swimsuit that elicits wolf howls from the crowd, but E-Soteric calms them down so he can speak.

"I gotta give it to you homie, you got some skills alright, but if you think they'll be enough to defeat me and take this title from me, you're dreaming!"

JOJI motions for a mic and fans come alive, as the Japanese fighter hasn't said a single word in any language so far. When he speaks, his English is broken and heavily accented, but his message clear.

"E-Soteric... You talk too much, but fight too little"

Fans cheer at the insult and an enraged E-Soteric is about to get in the ring to start the fight, but backs down at the last second, holding himself for the official match while Cindy taunts the fans who really thought this would go down on the spot.

A match intertwining several storylines, this one's a little hard to track as it immediately breaks down into a free for all brawl. It also doesn't do anyone any favors; Cali Slick and Fro Sure lack the space and spotlight to really contribute much to the action, while State of Destruction are seriously exposed by the lack of overbooking and chaos. Regardless, keeping track of six people (plus two managers) is no small task for referee Moore Vincent and it only gets worse when...

...the hired gun Raheem Stash joins the brawl to hit MexiCain in the back of the head with a clubbing forearm. Stash's presence (and betrayal) sends Slick into an offensive frenzy, but the damage has been done and MexiCain is left all alone to take Fro's piledriver finisher, the Sure Thing, followed by the pin.

Winners: Grimm Inc.

The end of the match doesn't also mean the end of the fight and with everyone still trading blows, Busta Capp charges out to attack Fro Sure in the chaos of it all. Kandii isn't far behind and soon joins the fray to pull hair with Kali Fornia in a catfight, with plenty of skin exposed, much to the delight of the GSW audience.

Despite their ongoing rivalry, Boone and Magwitch pack the size, power and recklessness to pose a genuine threat to the tag team champions, who find themselves in a tight spot as their opponents have absolutely no problem going toe to toe in a hardcore brawl. After the opening brawl and subsequent weapons spots, Dead Men Walking try to get a break by switching to a more 'classic' wrestling style. Sadly, it doesn't suit them or the promotion, plus Boone seems to be way more comfortable than them in that aspect, eventually making it as far as a two count before Gravedigga barely breaks it up. Magwitch takes things back to weapons and blood, sticking with what's brought him to the dance, but a badly timed swing has him accidentally hit Boone in the jaw with a baseball bat, knocking him off the apron and out cold. Dead Men Walking see their chance and pounce on the hardcore clown, double teaming him to set up Gravedigga's Flying Headbutt for the pin.

Mobstar stares down at the challengers, while Gravedigga goes for the mic.

"You two think you're the real deal, huh? Think two two rookies off the Coastal Zone could take on the Dead Men Walking? This is GSW, chico. You can act tough around a bunch o' masked acrobats and surfer dudes, but you won't last five minutes in the ring with two real gangstas off the streets. Come get some!"

Deaf Touch vs Hard-1

Brass Knuckles match</div>

The match is off to a hard-hitting start, with both competitors making it look like a boxing match, only with brass knuckles instead of gloves. Things go back and forth with no one getting the best of the exchange, until Hard-1 switches it up by hitting Deaf Touch with a sudden headbutt. This breaks down the match into a more "street level" brawl, allowing for more than just punches to be utilized. Hard-1 uses the element of surprise to capitalize on the advantage it got him with his experience, beating down Deaf Touch. The silent one refuses to go out silently though and reverses a whip to the ropes into a Mafia Kick straight in the face of Hard-1. Taking a page off the MMA book, Deaf Touch pounces to mount the fallen veteran and rains down brass knuckled punches until the ref pulls him away to check on Hard-1. Once the Texan's hand goes down a third time, Moore Vincent calls for the bell and Deaf Touch is declared the winner by way of knock out.

Hi there, glad you've made your presence known and glad you like this (plus the previous ones, if I understood right? wow)

Regional war is a killer for GSW and you can't possibly hope to compete with the likes of CZCW (and AAA, and QAW after a while) who never hit Cult size fast enough, plus you'll always be penalized because of RIPW's supreme production values (funded by their parent promotion). It took me several tries to find a remedy, but the answer is to run two shows a month, one monthly (GSW Showtime!) and one annual. That way at the end of the month, after you take out popularity losses due to Regional Wars, you still have some popularity gain left. Plus you have two chances per month to put up a better show than IPW (who I try to have at least equal production values to, if not better) and leave them at the last spot of the Wars.

Busta Capp paces the ring as he hears Fro but can't hold up a cruel smile.

"A Ladder match? You think that's good enough for a main event tonight? This ain't IPW, n***a! Hell, it ain't PSW either! And it sure ain't Warrior Engine! This is GS-dub, we gonn' have a Tables, Chairs AND Ladders match! And they're all gonna be wrapped in barb wire!"

CC: "Oh my! This main event just went up to a whole new level of insane!"

Both men come into the match desperate for a win that'll get them back on track again, as the announcing duo points out, but it's Cheech that gets the jump on his opponent by using his speed, agility and explosive style. After a series of spinning kicks, he goes for a handspring elbow but Omar reverses into a neckbreaker! Adding a senton on top for good measure, Omar gets to work on the fallen youngster but once he climbs the top turnbuckle to hit his finisher, Kong realizes what's coming and barely manages to knock him off balance. The fight continues outside the ring with C-K flying off the apron for the splash, then some street-style brawling at ringside. Turns out it's a bad decision, as Omar is bigger and stronger; not only does he get the upper hand, he also whips Kong into the ring steps before jumping off the apron for a double stomp that plants Kong's face onto the steps. With his opponent out for a good while, Omar climbs the top turnbuckle once more and hits the High Velocity Headbutt, this time to the outside, before rolling over for the pin.

Grimm Inc pays him, he'll mess with his former employers. That's how this sh*t works and I don't blame 'im. But that's not how we do things in the barrio. We know things like Honor. Family. Friendship. We respect those things. And because we respect those things, my esse here wanted revenge. He went and demanded a match against Stash, one on one. Now let me tell you, I don't know what Grimm Inc paid 'im, but once my homie here is done rearranging his face, it won't be enough to cover his medical bills, aye?"

Raheem Stash vs Mexico's Finest (with MexiCain)

Death's Door match</div>

This match is the opposite of the opening bout, a classic street fight between two big bad men who keep things simple yet hard hitting. Although not the chaotic brawl that one might have expected, the match still is wild enough to keep fans happy and announcers guessing who got the worst of each hit. MexiCain does a good work of keeping fans alive and slides in weapons for his fighter, but more than once his plans backfire and Stash ends up gaining an advantage, which in turn causes a bit of tension between the two Mexicans. It all works out though in the end and MexiCain is able to provide the assist, not only creating a distraction to set up Hard Times (chokeslam) but also helping Mexico's Finest lift up the massive Jamaican.

E-Soteric (with Cindy) vs JOJI (with Cummy Ling)

Death's Door match</div>

JOJI dodges E-Soteric's strikes to retaliate with some of his own, making the champion look like a fool once the match starts. This lighthearted approach does cost him though after a bit when an enraged E-Soteric manages to connect with a lariat. Mounting his fallen opponent, the champion proceeds to beat him down but JOJI gets back up before the ten count is reached. After smartly tripping the champ with a drop toehold to stop the charge, JOJI starts building up momentum with bigger and bigger moves, but E-Soteric puts the brakes with a sidestep that has JOJI slide between the ropes and out of the ring onto Cindy. The incident has E-Soteric go out of the ring and Ling circles around to join the fray, resulting in a crazy four way brawl. Cindy puts out Ling when she pulls her hair to slam her face first onto the timekeeper's bell, while JOJI eliminates E-Soteric with a Lionsault to the outside. Ref only gets up to seven though and the match continues, with E-Soteric using some nearby cables as a weapon to whip his opponent. With Cindy there to assist him, E-Soteric uses the cables to tie JOJI shoulders-down under a barricade, then bullies referee Moore Vincent into counting normally. Trapped and alone, JOJI tries to escape and once he does, it's only a split second after the ref has reached ten.

CC: "A smart tactic from E-Soteric who retains but can't say his victory isn't completely tainted. What a shame for JOJI though, he really looked like he could have won here."

TC: "Patience is a virtue, Clifford. Remember Job"

I want to call out to him and offer to join forces against the tyranny of Grimm Inc and its appointed champion, Fro Sure. But I wanna make that offer face to face. I want him to look at me straight in the eye and say yes or no. I want... Madman Boone!"

Fro Sure (with Kali Fornia) vs Busta Capp (with Kandii)

Barbed Tables, Ladders and Chairs match</div>

Fro starts the match with some graceful boxing style jabs but Capp manages to reverse into an arm drag and throw punches on the fallen Fro. A knee strike between the legs earns the champion some time and space to get back on his feet while getting an audible reaction from the predominantly male audience. Fro grabs a razor-wrapped chair to beat down the fallen Capp, then goes for a ladder only to have it slammed in his face when Busta catches him with a Mafia Kick as he gets back in the ring. Capp sets up the ladder but seeing Fro recover quick, switches his strategy to jump off of it for a tornado DDT. Unfortunately, he is the one to land back first onto the discarded razor-wrapped chair. Fro calls for a second chair and Kali Fornia slides it in for him; he looks to sandwich Capp between the two, but Busta barely rolls over to avoid it, leaving Fro with two chairs tangled between them. Capp shoulder tackles Fro to a corner, then leaves the ring to set up a table outside with the help of Kandii. When he gets back into the ring, Fro has picked up the ladder and slams him in the gut with its top, then tries to pick him up for the Sure Thing (piledriver) but Capp somehow escapes! The two men trade blows until Fro backsteps and trips on the fallen ladder, setting himself up for a running elbow drop from his opponent. Capp re-sets the ladder and starts to climb but just before he can reach the title hanging above, referee Moore Vincent pushes the ladder off balance to send him down in a wide arc that ends with a crash on the table he and Kandii had set up earlier. Kandii gets in the ref's face screaming while Kali Fornia tries to revive Fro and when Kandii slaps MV, Kali Fornia jumps at her to initiate a hair pulling catfight.

In all the chaos, Moore Vincent pulls Fro to his feet as State of Destruction come out. BB Colossus sets up the ladder and holds it in place while Boneyard takes Fro on his shoulders to climb the ladder himself, bringing the champion comfortably into range to unhook the title.

Hard-1 & Devyn Retribution vs Omar & Top Dolla

CC: Devyn Retribution and Omar will start the match for their respective teams and it's Omar who springs into action as he sweeps Devyn's base with a kick to his knee! Devyn just takes the blow, shrugs it off and whips Omar to a corner! Listen to those chops! Smash onto the pad knocks Omar down and here comes the stomping!

TC: Should have taken him to his teammate's corner, now that's a mistake someone more experienced wouldn't make.

CC: Devyn pulls his opponent up... Reversal! And again! Devyn's still on a roll... comes running from behind with the bulldog! Nice one and he immediately goes to pick Omar back up, oh, reverses into a monkey flip! Omar follows it up with a drop toe hold... and picks Devyn up into the headlock. Lets go... dropkick!

TC: Devyn's still standing though, he's resilient.

CC: Knee sweep won't hit this time... Devyn counters with a big headbutt!

TC: Hard-1 is the master of those, looks like he taught him a trick or two.

CC: Moose fights back though... another side headlock, takes Devyn down! And drops the fist for good measure! Picks him up... another monkey flip! Omar falls on top with a running senton and looks like Retribution is in trouble! Won't go for the pin though, hits another one, half senton this time... uh oh... drops the leg, right onto Devyn's exposed groin!

TC: That's gotta hurt

CC: Omar's taking the youngster by storm, another half senton... and a proper one on top of it, Devyn needs to make a tag, desperately!

TC: Omar's posing on the second rope, this might be the chance he needs to tag Hard-1 in.

CC: Omar drops the leg off the second rope! Hops back up for the kick onto Devyn's back... Retribution barely avoids it by rolling to the side and here's the hot tag! Hard-1 comes in like a house on fire! Clothesline! Hard-1 is stomping Omar like he owes him money! Kick to the back! More stomps! Uh oh, here comes, he's about to drop a headbutt right between Omar's legs!

TC: What? That looks like he's gonna blow him!

CC: Won't happen though, Omar raised a knee to meet Hard-1's head... other leg goes into his gut, looking for a monkey flip...no, Hard-1 won't be shoved around like that!

TC: Do you know Omar used to go by the name of Jeremiah Moose? Wonder why he chose that animal, he seems to be very fond of monkey flips.

CC: Hard-1 pulls him up for the back elbow... drops the knee, nope, insists, plants that knee straight into Omar's face! Now it's Omar who needs to make a tag...won't happen after that discus clothesline! Omar tries to roll away but Hard-1 pulls him back up... roundhouse punch! The veteran is having his fun out of this!

TC: Shouldn't let his guard down that much though, here's Omar with another monkey flip and it gives him a chance to tag in Top Dolla!

CC: Charges in with a lariat to knock Hard-1 back down, drops a knee on top of it, denied! Hard-1 isn't gonna take it, he's just unloading on the youngster with punches! Scoops him up for the bodyslam and Top Dolla's stopped dead on his tracks. Another clubbing blow to the back of the head and off to the corner goes Top Dolla... Big chops... and an absolute bitchslap on top of it all!

TC: Language, Clifford!

CC: No respect to the wigger kid there and more big shots to the back of the head, oh, missed! And Dolla gets out of a tight spot into control of a side headlock. Oh he's looking to ascend to the top rope!

TC: Took him long enough.

CC: Comes up empty! He flew right into Hard-1's roundhouse uppercut! Great teamwork as Hard-1 whips Dolla to the ropes and Devyn's there to hold him in place from behind... Charges in with the Mafia Kick! One...Two..

"E-Sotewic... you cheating pwick, mon. Also, you fake winner. Jah only knows how you win match by countout, when match onwy can end by knockout."

Fans laugh at JOJI's mix of stereotypical Asian and Jamaican accent as much as they laugh with his point. Cummy Ling jumps in to add a little extra.

"My client demands a rematch! This parody cannot stand as a valid title defense!"

Fans give a mixed reaction to E-Soteric's question and Ling is about to answer, when he cuts her off.

"Shut the f**k up, b*tch, I'm talkin' to the hobo next to ya! Give 'im the mic and I'll give ta somethin' else to hold instead, he he..."

TC: "Did he just suggest...?"

CC: "Fans don't seem to mind and apparently neither does Cindy, look at her licking her lips!"

"Tell ya what, homie: I put my title on the line, you put that dimepiece on the line. If I win... dat ass is mine!"

Deaf Touch vs Cheech Kong

Death's Door match</div>

CC: Cheech Kong uses his speed to seize the initiative and grab the headlock... Deaf Touch blocks the close range knee strike though and explodes into a clothesline! Drops the leg, Cheech rolled through! They seem to be at a stalemate now as they lock up again... Kong gets control of a headlock again and knocks DT off his feet with a beautiful rolling wheel kick!

TC: Cheech needs to stick with this style that works for him, Deaf Touch is one of the most well rounded fighters on the roster and any mistake he can immediately exploit.

CC: See how he blocked the monkey flip attempt there by shifting his weight...and counters from close range with another clothesline! Still has the arm grabbed and they trade punches now... Kong going for low kicks... and there's the dropkick! Deaf Touch is still standing though and here's the stomp!

TC: Kong has to go high risk if he wants to stagger a man like Deaf Touch, these basic moves do little to hurt him.

CC: And Kong gets punished for it with strike after strike, now into the corner he's sent... ugh! That charging elbow must have broken his nose, Kong is bleeding all over! He tries to create some space with kicks...takedown! And the elbow drop!

TC: That's pure adrenaline at work there

CC: Kong hits a senton and he's got some momentum going... nope, Deaf Touch raises his knees this time... and retaliates with a leg drop of his own! Kong tries to roll out for a breather... no, he flies back in with a springboard clothesline! Amazing athleticism! Rolling thunder... oh, and a kick to the head gives Deaf Touch a taste of his own poison, now both men are busted open!

TC: This is the kind of action these miscreants here tonight enjoy, listen at them howling for blood!

CC: Deaf Touch is trying to muster that fan energy to get him back in the fight but Kong isn't willing to give him the time to do so...no! Kong gets caught with a big slap to the chest as he comes in charging! And a punch! Headbutt! Something big is coming... Clothesline takes Cheech down... big kick to his back, Deaf Touch seems to have entered a frenzy since he put on the crimson mask!

TC: You don't kick a man when he's down and you certainly don't kick him there...

CC: Deaf Touch wipes the blood off his face and fans are loving the action... Kong takes the opportunity to hit the ropes, big crossbody! One!

TC: Two!

CC: Deaf Touch kicks out! Kong was so close, he can't believe it! Goes for the DDT... Deaf Touch shoves him aside... BOOM! BOOM! BOOM! Three headbutts and Kong is staggered... he tries to fight back but he looks lost. Deaf Touch reverses the hold... clotheslines him to the outside! Now things are about to get hardcore!

TC: Kong landed nasty on the apron there...

CC: But still avoids the clothesline as Deaf Touch comes flying down! Look at DT, never even felt that punch and goes directly into the gut buster... Kong breaks free before the move can be completed! Again! And again! Oh, he's whipped to the stairs, couldn't make that defense count.

TC: Meanwhile, Deaf Touch is removing the protective padding

CC: Picks him up for the Death Valley Driver... Kong wiggles free! But Deaf Touch still hits the reverse DDT onto the floor! Kong might be out! Referee starts the count!

TC: I don't see him moving much

CC: Five... Six... Seven...

TC: Even if he can get up, he's running out of time to do so

A mean, menacing Mexico's Finest, much worse than usual, makes his entrance with a gleam in his eye and MexiCain not far behind. Once they get into the ring, MexiCain speaks up.

"Two weeks ago, I brought my esse here out and just like I promised, he kicked the sh*t out of Raheem Stash for stabbing us in the back when we fought Grimm Inc. For that, the powers that be booked him to wrestle that psycho clown Magwitch tonight and they made it a monster's ball match. This means they've each been locked up in a cell with no light, food or water for the past 24 hours. Now I don't know about Magwitch, but Finest here's done time in the pen. He's been in detention. You think this stipulation gonna affect him, it's only made him more focused. And once the dust settles, sh*t ain't gonna be different than last time!"

CC: Magwitch gets the jump with a knee to the gut, bodyslam, no, Finest falls back! Kick out at one! Mexico's Finest may indeed be supremely focused to pull off such a reversal already. Blocks another knee strike...kick to the balls! And Magwitch is just laughing! He didn't even feel that!

TC: How is that even possible?!

CC: Another kick... Finest shows him how to do a bodyslam! It's got the ex-con roaring in triumph, but look out for the clothesline from the recovered Magwitch! Staggers back... and explodes into a shoulder block! Now the hardcore clown is the one staggered... he'll try the bodyslam, no, tries again, slams Mexico's Finest down!

TC: Don't let the clown paint fool you, Magwitch is one of the biggest men on the roster, bar none!

CC: Slides in for the lariat just as Finest recovers... and the elbow drop! Magwitch is just going crazy with strikes to the back of the Mexican's head, oh no, he's shoved aside! Check out the strength on Magwitch as he picks Finest up! Goes for the snake eyes... Finest grabbed the ropes! And he knocks his opponent down!

TC: I was about to say this may be the most crisp, technical wrestling we've seen from these two but out goes Mexico's Finest to grab a baseball bat with nails protruding out of it...

CC: There's no DQ here... BAM! Oh it's stuck onto the clown's flesh! He pulls Finest in! Bodyslams him onto the bat! This is brutal!

TC: They're both bloodied and neither man is able to hit a move, I think the damage is starting to take its toll.

CC: Again, Finest hits a move that Magwitch couldn't, face first into the turnbuckle goes the clown for the snake eyes! He's reeling!

TC: Meanwhile, Finest slides a chair into the ring, I see

CC: Drags Magwitch onto it... and falls on top with a splash! He's lost it, he's stomping like a wild animal! Look at him, shouting at Magwitch to get the f**k up!

TC: Fans don't seem that responsive, d'you think that car crash that came earlier burned them out?

CC: Could be, look out spear, no! Magwitch barely steps aside and into the post goes the Mexican! Once again it's a standoff, they're both tired, damaged and bleeding, neither man can pull off a move and they fight back and forth with no apparent winner... Finest explodes into a leaping side suplex! Uh oh, it's over, he says. Might he go for the Hard Times? He's stalking... Spinning elbow! Gets caught! Again falls on top to block the bodyslam! One!

TC: Two!

CC: Kick out by Magwitch, that was so close! Oh he's got the head still locked between his legs, going for a piledriver, no, Finest shoves him away... and comes charging for the clothesline! Magwitch goes off the top rope to the outside!

TC: This is where things really go off the rails. Or into the protective railing.

CC: Finest looking for a powerbomb, desperate head punches from Magwitch and he's able to escape the hard landing. Can't lock up right though... tries to whip Finest to the stairs...won't budge! Magwitch gets pulled in!

TC: Mexico's Finest will go for a piledriver!

CC: He nails it! No count outs to worry about, Finest is in control and loving every second of it! Pulls Magwitch up for the short arm lariat...another! Three of them! He's not satisfied yet! Magwitch is pulled back into the ring, this isn't over yet...desperation move! Another bodyslam reversed into a pin!

TC: Two...shoulder up!

CC: Finest will look for another piledriver...sinks in the gutwrench...nope, Magwitch connects with his midsection to force the release...but he's got nothing left, can't maintain his hold of his opponent...Hard Times! Hard Times! One!

TC: Two!

Dead Men Walking come out with the GSW Tag Team titles around their waists. Never removing their bandanas, Gravedigga gets on the mic while Mobstar paces behind him.

"This is G-S-W! We the champions, we been here since day one, now a couple o' CZCW rookies think they can fight us for these? Hell, last time they didn't even answer the challenge, we were ready to go, yo!"

Without warning, Notorious come out of the crowd stands and charge to the ring. Mobstar sees them in time, but Gravedigga doesn't, busy as he was talking on the mic. This is all Notorious need to make the best of a surprise situation and they proceed to beat up the champions. The segment ends with Notorious holding the GSW Tag Team titles up high in the air, then laying them on top of the fallen champions before they leave.

CC: It's the main event with Slick wrestling hardcore legend Madman Boone! Remember, if Slick wins, Boone has agreed to join him against Grimm Inc!

TC: That is a terrifying prospect, but these two could indeed stand a chance against State of Destruction.

CC: Slick gets things rolling with a flurry of punches, he's making the best of the brass knuckles stipulation already! Adds a stomp, but Boone won't just lie there and take it! Big clothesline!

TC: Now a forearm to the back of the head, is Boone even aware that he's got brass knuckles and they're legal?

CC: If he does, he doesn't seem to care... I've counted what, seven, eight forearms already? Oh Slick slides behind him and whips him to a corner!

TC: All stand for the ten punch salute!

CC: Drags him out and into the ropes... clothesline! And a headbutt just as Boone gets back on his feet! Slick drops a leg and Weston cheers him on, it's clear the gameplan here is to focus on Boone's head.

TC: Not a bad plan at all, he's got damage piled up from years of wrestling and the head's always an effective target. It's worked for Slick thus far.

CC: It's getting predictable though and Boone dodges the punch combo... Slick nails the one big haymaker though... follows it up with a headbutt! But it's got Boone all fired up and Slick is scooped up and brought down hard! Big right hand!

TC: Finally Boone is using those brass knuckles, after what, three minutes into the match?

CC: Boone nails the headbutt.... spins around...Slick gets out of the way! European Uppercut isn't his style though and Boone counters, finally connecting with that roundhouse punch... and inverted atomic drop! That's gotta hurt!

TC: I'd say the groin is Boone's target in this match, dropped the elbow and now the headbutt between Slick' legs.

CC: Little Miss Sunshine cheers for her fighter, but here comes Slick with the reversal! Drops the leg... but can't hit home with a punch... or pick up Boone for a bodyslam. Spinning elbow takes Slick down and cover, one!

TC: Two, no, Slick got a shoulder up before two.

CC: Boone isn't happy, ugh, nasty shoulder breaker there. Drags a thumb across his throat... but Slick surprised him with a quick recovery! Headbut, followed by a tentative jab...and a 1-2-3 against Boone's jaw, he's down! Slick drops the elbow, boom! Can't hit the knee though and pays for it as Boone lands another shoulder breaker!

TC: Looks like he's trying to take away the shoulder strength from Slick so he won't be able to hit the Slick Back chokeslam

CC: Good observation and once again, Slick catches Boone with his pants down as the veteran is stalking his fallen victim. This time the European Uppercut connects...and a clothesline follow up! Slick goes for the cover, one.. kick out at one only.

TC: Boone's visibly tiring and it's clouding his judgement, could have waited until two to catch his breath before breaking the pin.

CC: Slick with the whip...Boone reverses and sends him into the corner! Can't get the foot choke in though, as Slick is faster and kicks him in the mid section... another right hook with the knuckles, but Boone catches a foot headed for his abdomen. Slick is off balance but he whips his opponent to the ropes... huge spinebuster!

TC: Why isn't he going for the pin?

CC: Slick looks to kick his opponent in the back... misses it and here comes Boone with the spinning elbow! Collapses on top! One!

TC: Two!

CC: Slick gets a shoulder up! Boone is gasping for air as he tries the DDT... Slick powers out! Grabs the throat! Hard Times! It's over! One!

TC: Two!

CC: Aaaaand three!

Now we're only a month away from King of California, our biggest annual show and I wanted to come out here tonight 'cause my Grimm Inc crew is booked to face their biggest challenge to date. As you all know, Fro Sure and the State of Destruction will be mixin' it up with Busta Capp, Cali Slick and the hardcore legend himself, Madman Boone in the main event! Now they're all great in that ring, I'll give 'em that, but they can't possibly hope to defeat a crew as tight as ours. I mean, Slick lost the title 'cause o' Capp in the first place and now they're BFFs all of a sudden? Or can they really trust a man forced into that spot after losing a match for his services? Even if he wasn't a Madman in the first place, that is. What I'm saying is, respect for tryin', but it's not gonna work out, b*tches! That's why I've decided to treat myself and enjoy the destruction from up close. Tonight in the main event, Grimm Inc will be present in full force!"

CC: "Did you hear that, Travis? The big man himself will be at ringside for the main event!"

"I don't know about you, but I'm sick and tired of seeing the same old cabrones fighting each other for the big prize. You see, my main man Mexico's Finest here has been on fire, but all he got for his efforts was match after match against that psycho clown, Magwitch. Matches he won again and again, putting his body on the line in the most extreme of stipulations, and what did he get for it? I mean, what more does a man have to do around here?"

Hard-1 gets in the ring and has an intense staredown with Mexico's Finest, who challenges him to sort this out, right here and now. Instead of an answer, Hard-1 simply headbutts MexiCain into unconsciousness.

CC: "And here we go!"

Mexico's Finest vs Hard-1

Last Blood match</div>

The two men immediately get into a fistfight that evolves into a weapon brawl and Mexico's Finest makes the best of his power advantage to come out on top; as an added bonus, being the taller man allows him to eliminate the various headbutts from Hard-1's arsenal. Despite wearing the crimson mask already, the crafty veteran isn't done though and in a display of great ring awareness, grabs the chain he brings to the ring with him to whip Finest, bust him open and create an opportunity to counterattack. After choking the Mexican with the chain but not getting him to tap out, a frustrated Hard-1 tries to do some damage with strikes until Finest gets a second wind and manages to grab his throat in a surprise burst to hit the Hard Times (chokeslam) for the knockout.

Now familiar with each other after their July encounter in Degeneration, the two men pull all the stops and let it all hang out as they hit full speed ahead from the opening bell. JOJI's speed puts him in control early on in the match and he comes at the champion from all angles, but a cheeky low blow allows E-Soteric to get back in the fight. Taking his well documented enthusiasm and explosive aggression to new heights, E-Soteric pummels JOJI with everything he's got only to be paid back in full when JOJI sweeps his leg to send him crashing head first onto one of the metallic ringposts. JOJI hits move after move once again to build up momentum and Cindy gets on the apron screaming. Just when it seems like she's about to shake the ropes to throw him off balance though, she kicks E-Soteric right between the legs! The backstab has E-Soteric down on the mat and since JOJI is already on the top rope, the setup is perfect for his JOJI Miracle Explosion finisher that keeps E-Soteric down for the ten count.

After the match, JOJI celebrates with the title belt as Cindy gets in the ring. Tension rises and everyone holds their breath... then Cindy turns to kiss Cummy Ling in the mouth! The two females share an extended french kiss well into "making out" territory as fans go wild!

The match lives up to its stipulation, with both teams keeping things simple and dirty, street-style. Several weapons are involved in a lot of the spots and all four men have their moments of spectacular bumps. Despite the chaos, the pace and flow of the match aren't hampered, making for an exciting back and forth; both teams remember to go for the pin every now and then but it's only false finishes they get out of their attempts until Carlos Barrera steals the win and titles with the help of a handful of Mobstar's wrestling trunks.

Sporting some new, much flashier ring gear, Deaf Touch grabs Little Miss Sunshine from behind and Stash puts her on his shoulder, carrying her away. Caught unaware, Boone and his allies take a second to think about the rescue, but the distraction is just what their opponents need to seize the initiative and kick off the match in control. The ensuing brawl spills out all over the place and there is no love lost between the two teams as mounting tensions finally explode. This is true too for the ringside non-wrestlers, with Kali Fornia and Kandii eventually getting tangled up in the established catfight and CJ Weston trying to pull them apart while Grimm threatens to fire Kandii from his club and promotion if she doesn't stab Busta Capp in the back. Things reach a boiling point as Kandii ponders her options, until Busta Capp comes flying off the top turnbuckle with a crossbody that takes out Brother Grimm himself! State of Destruction race to the big man's rescue and Boone throws himself at them, leaving the field open for Slick to roll up a distracted Fro Sure from behind. Moore Vincent seems hesitant to make the pin until CJ Weston waves a paper in his face. Whatever's written in it apparently has more influence on the official than Brother Grimm's power and at last, he does the right thing.

CJ Weston looks all smug as he gets on the mic, the slip of paper held up high in the air.

"I have in my hands an official message from the SoCal Commission of Pro Wrestling Referees. According to this here, referee Moore Vincent has been found displaying 'questionable judgement' while performing his duties and has therefore been issued a warning. Should he come under scrutiny of the Commission again after receiving this letter, he shall be subject to immediate cancellation of his license and membership, meaning he'll never be able to work as a referee again, not here, not anywhere in the U.S!"

CC: "Oh my! Weston has Vincent in the palm of his hand!"

TC: "Stuck between a rock and a hard place, does he stay loyal with his friend and employer in Brother Grimm, or does he do the job right to risk the wrath of the man in charge?"

Fro's words get a mixed reaction, he's been the heel in this whole thing but the way he paints things now strikes a sensitive chord with the predominantly African-American audience. Slick quickly grabs the mic out of Weston's hand.

"Why don't you drop this whole act and get down to business, b*tch? We beat your asses in Uprising, I pinned your ass in the middle of the ring and I'll do it again. One on one, for the title!"

I've given my sweat and my blood for this and let's face it, until I joined your little crusade against Grimm Inc, you were on the losing end. I got every right to be in the mix."

Fro Sure cuts Capp off before things can get any hotter between him and Slick.

"Hold it, hot shots. We got King o' Cali comin' up this month. Tell you what, I'm havin' a word with my main man Grimm backstage and we'll see what happens after the tournament. Do well in that and you'll improve your chances moving forward, ya digg?"

CC: "Looks like this has to be settled on the highest level of authority in GSW"

Notorious are shown cruising around in a pimped-out lowrider. The GSW Tag Team titles are on the back seat and various females on the street seem just as impressed by the gold as they are with the car and its drivers. The duo eventually pulls over and turns to the camera.

We made our name with the Coastal Zone and here we are now, tag champs in GSW just months after joining. California's just getting too small for Notorious..."

As the announcing duo points out, Dead Men Walking must be frustrated to have lost the tag titles to Notorious and judging by their aggression from the opening bell, they probably just saw the new champions' promo too. Cheech Kong is all to happy to keep up with the frantic pace and crazy stunts of the match, until Mobstar shuts him down for good with turnbuckle powerbomb after having removed all three protective paddings. Dead Men Walking take turns demolishing the youngster, until a mis-targeted Irish Whip allows Drop Kix to make the blind tag and come in flying. Kix picks up the pace to even greater speed and intensity, but after the initial outburst, falls victim to his own enthusiasm and the joint experience of the former champions as Mobstar flattens him with a spinebuster to set him up for Gravedigga's Flying Headbutt finisher.

As the winners begin to recover after the bell, Boneyard rushes to the ring and grabbing each man by the throat, slams both Mobstar and Gravedigga with a double chokeslam. The slower, plodding BB Colossus takes more time to reach the scene, but once he does, he hits Dead Men Walking with a big splash, using every ounce of his body to inflict damage. State of Destruction yell some profanities about the GSW Tag Team titles and then return backstage.

Hard-1 comes out, but Mexico's Finest had been lying in wait nearby and spears him with a Hard Times! The two men brawl it out near the entrance and despite his initial surprise, Hard-1 manages to eliminate the ex-con by choking him out with some cables lying nearby. Still, MexiCain has the distraction he needs and he attacks the veteran from behind. The two slug it out for a while in what feels like a proper streetfight, to the point where it feels strange to hear a bell ring once they're both between the ropes.

The Brass Knuckles stipulation clashes with the improptu setup of the match and even the announcers have a hard time maintaining flow and suspension of disbelief. A lot of the early blows are carried out with no brass knuckles at all and when MexiCain goes for his pair, it just feels odd. Despite having an early advantage and spending most of the match on offense, MexiCain gets hit with a jaw crushing hook, then an uppercut and a Mafia Kick to finish things off, a combination that leaves him out cold for the ten count.

Deaf Touch clogs E-Soteric from behind with a clubbing blow to the head, then does a crotch chop over his fallen body. Meanwhile, Cindy slides into the ring to talk trash over her former client, then Deaf Touch wraps an arm around her waist and they walk away.

CC: "What was that all about?"

TC: "How many people have been caught in this woman's spiderweb?"

CC: "What about Deaf Touch? He kidnapped Little Miss Sunshine at Uprising, now he's got Cindy..."

TC: "The TLC match for the title is next and I guess that means E-Soteric is out of it..."

CC: "He is! JOJI challenged all comers and E-Soteric would sure answer the challenge, but I don't think he can deal with tables, ladders and chairs after this beatdown from Deaf Touch!"

JOJI (with Cummy Ling) vs Omar vs Devyn Retribution vs Top Dolla vs Magwitch

Tables, Ladders and Chairs match</div>

Fans are on their feet for what promises to be a spectacular, reckless match between GSW's young and hungry fighters. Magwitch is off to a fiery start, making the best of his size advantage against the smaller high flyers, his hardcore style wreaking havoc early on until his obsession with fire gets the best of him. While busy looking for a gas canister, he gets taken out by a JOJIsault off the apron and fans applaud the Asian daredevil as much as they cheer for seeing the hardcore clown destroyed. Back in the ring, Omar and Devyn trade blows. Top Dolla tries to get in the mix, but the other two team up to whip him to the ropes and instead of bouncing back, he hits a suicide dive between the ropes, catching JOJI on the outside and driving him back first onto a nearby ladder! Omar slides out of the ring to get a ladder of his own while Devyn goes for a chair, only for Omar to use the ladder as a spear; Devyn barely manages to place the chair in front of his abdominal area before the hit and with no one around to disturb him, Omar sets up the ladder and begins climbing until Top Dolla flies out of nowhere from a nearby balcony, knocking Omar and the ladder down with a reckless crossbody that sends the former champion crashing through a table on the outside! Cummy Ling tries to revive JOJI and the defending champion makes it to the ring. Ladder back up, JOJI starts his climb but Devyn grabs the ladder to shake him off. Adapting on the fly, JOJI hits the Miracle Explosion off the ladder and onto Devyn Retribution, then recovers to painstakingly climb up again until he finally manages to unhook the title.

Madman Boone vs Deaf Touch (with Little Miss Sunshine)

West Coast Deathmatch</div>

Deaf Touch and Little Miss Sunshine do their best Taxi Driver impression on their way to the ring, while Boone looks ready to hurt somebody. As soon as the bell rings, he unleashes a series of blows onto his opponent before storming out of the ring in search of a weapon. Deaf Touch follows him out and the two trade blows, with Boone's style making DT look like the better 'straightforward' wrestler of the two.

Less than five minutes into the match, Raheem Stash walks out carrying a big STOP sign, which he proceeds to slam onto Boone's head from behind, the blow denting the metal sheet for good. The match stipulation of course means there's not DQ, so the brawl goes on and Deaf Touch is now easily in control, dragging the hardcore legend back into the ring for an offensive sequence that leads up to the Crooked Moonsault and a pin until referee Moore Vincent reaches a count of ten.

Pretty soon though, the lingering pain from that scary stunt dive he took during the TLC match of GSW Showtime! two weeks earlier catches up with him and forces him to slow down. This is all Stash needs to finally catch up and maul Omar on a corner, before he powerslams him in the middle of the ring for the pin.

Much like the match before it, this one sees the faster, more athletic Devyn Retribution pull all the stops as he looks to take his opponent by storm and blitzkrieg his way to a quick surprise win. However, Mexico's Finest is much more agile than Stash and way more comfortable with hardcore violence, meaning this match quickly turns into an absolute car wreck. Between bloody spots and crazy dives, fans really get going until Devyn miscalculates a diving headbutt straight into a swinging chair shot from Finest, who subsequently covers the youngster for the win.

B-Trayed vs Deaf Touch (with Little Miss Sunshine)</div>

The first really personal matchup of the night and announcers make sure to hype it up, as Deaf Touch attacked the former E-Soteric, now announced as B-Trayed, from behind two weeks ago at GSW Showtime! before walking away with Cindy, who supposedly had come out to explain her betrayal of her former client. While this setup makes for a pretty intense match, it also means B-Trayed gets caught up in his well documented enthusiasm; it doesn't produce an injury, but it sure gives Deaf Touch plenty of chances to exploit and with a little assist from Little Miss Sunshine (though uncalled for, it is still forced as Deaf Touch seems happy to impose his will over LMS) the match ends around the eighth minute.

A clash of two hardcore veterans for the final leg of the Quarter Finals and Hard-1 is fighting not only to advance, but also for the equalizer since Boone beat him the only other time they've met in a singles match. Both men work a supremely stiff, hard-hitting match, including a double headbutt spot that causes Boone's forehead to bleed. As if awakened by the rush of blood and adrenaline, Boone kicks into gear and surprises a still stunned Hard-1 with a roll up to win, advance and make their rivalry score 2-0.

BB Colossus gets caught by Notorious as he's leaving the ring, Dead Men Walking take out Boneyard, but neither man is easy to handle and put in the casket, so the remaining two teams turn on each other. The ensuing streetfight is short, explosive, aggressive and brutal, with Rivera eventually managing to place Gravedigga inside the casket and slam the lid shut.

TC: "You might wanna bother with that Clifford since, you know, the whole show is named after it? Tell our fans what the brackets look like so far."

CC: "Two exciting matchups and even more exciting possibilities for the final. First off, it's a clash of two powerhouses as Madman Boone will be taking on Raheem Stash! They're big, they're strong, they're hardcore and this isn't going to be pretty!"

TC: "Boone barely made it to the semi finals. At his age and with the toll wrestling has taken on his body, I wouldn't be surprised if he lost this match, despite going into it as the favorite."

CC: "Matchup number two is Deaf Touch and Mexico's Finest, two men who have been at the cusp of breaking through to the main event scene."

TC: "Mexico's Finest is a former GSW American champion, what he's looking is to make a return to the top level after a rough 2016 so far."

CC: "Deaf Touch seems to be on fire since he's been around some of GSW's finest females and he's known for his iron stamina, which is just the thing for tournaments like this. I bet the ladies have been testing his stamina in bed too..."

TC: "Clifford!"

CC: "What's the matchup you'd like to see in the finals, Travis?"

TC: "Stash versus Deaf Touch, two young fighters on the rise. It's what this tournament is about. Boone is old and he's made his name; Mexico's Finest is nearing forty, make way for the next generation!"

A proper hoss match, this one is about standing straight and trading blows between two big powerhouses. Somewhat more worn down from his quarter final match, Boone is the first to show some weakness, allowing Stash to add some slams and power moves to the mix. Boone seems to enjoy the pain though and even invites it in a very puroresu-esque way, to the point where it eventually causes him to bounce back with a flurry of offense. Seeing things go wrong for her man, Cindy climbs the apron to distract the ref and once Boone gets involved, Stash attacks from behind, knocking Cindy off to the floor. The momentary distraction is all Boone needs to hit his Boone and Bust finisher, pinning Stash to win another match.

Between the Mexican's penchant for hardcore violence and the stamina of Deaf Touch, their chemistry elevates the match to a whole new level as it turns into a tug of war and a clash of offense versus perseverance.

In an attempt to eliminate the advantage of Little Miss Sunshine at ringside, MexiCain shows up and gets in her face, but his presence draws the ire of Mexico's Finest. The two latinos get into a minor argument, which ends up working in favor of Deaf Touch who catches both men with a Crooked Moonsault, pinning Finest to get the victory.

Before the final match can get going, Cali Slick and Busta Capp take to the ring, followed by CJ Weston and Kandii respectively. Neither person looks to share the excitement in the air and Capp is the first one to speak up.

"In case you haven't noticed, I'm not in the damn tournament! And neither is Cali here!"

Fans give a mixed reaction, but Slick quickly grabs the mic from Capp's hands and turns to address Fro Sure and Brother Grimm up in the VIP section.

"You puff haired motherf*cker! Two weeks ago, you came out here and said you'd talk to your sugar daddy over there about our title shots. Looks like all you did was suck his d*ck for a gig as DJ in his club! Do well in the tournament and it'll 'improve our chances going forward' ya lil' b*tch? Well how the f*ck are we gonna do that if we ain't in the f*cking tournament in the first place, n***a?"

I don't want no half-assed challengers for my title, I want you at 100%! But since these fans are tired of seeing you two fight it out for a shot that you'll eventually waste, we figured we might give a chance to someone else too... the King of California! That's right, whoever wins the tournament this year not only gets the cup, they get to fight you two in a triple threat match, for a chance at the GSW American title!"

The final is a hard hitting match and Boone shows true grit fighting on for victory despite exhaustion. Deaf Touch, on the other hand, not only is known for his stamina, he's also had a much easier (and shadier) time in his matches tonight, meaning he's fresher and less damaged. Slowly but surely chipping away at whatever gas Boone has left in the tank, Deaf Touch wrestles a rough but very well thought out match, eventually nailing Boone with the Mafia Kick twice before he's able to keep him down for the three count.

I really enjoyed King of California, just like Bison! I had Boone and Touch in the finals, I just that the old Madman was going to get the nod. I don't hate Deaf Touch like Bison does, though, so I'm not disappointed in his victory!

I was exhausted, but relieved. The show had gone down well, even if the semi had stolen the main event's thunder a bit, but I was so tense I couldn't relax.

"Alright everyone, gather up. Hell of a show tonight, congratulations to all of you. Once again, we blew the roof off this place and beat those IPW suckers, plus we almost sold out the Warehouse! Pretty soon we're gonna need a bigger venue and I'll be damned if I can keep it underground hardcore when we're fighting in the big arenas!"

They all chuckled, even Deaf Touch. Fro Sure had gone through the trouble of learning sign language just so DT wouldn't be left out. Of course, Fro being Fro, he would sneak some of the hand gestures into his rapping too, but for now he was relaying my speech to the new King of California. DT was beyond happy with the cup on his lap, never thought he'd be winning it this year, let alone by going over a legend like Boone, but I needed to freshen up the title scene. He had the skill and once his new pimp gimmick caught fire, I just rolled with it.

"A big thank you to Ian Boone first, thanks for putting us on the map and selflessly putting young talent over."

The veteran could only smile, banged up as he was after three matches in one night. At age 39 with a track record of insane spots in over two decades in the business, it was a miracle he was still able to stand, talk and move around, let alone wrestle. His contract would be coming up soon for renewal and it was bound to be the roughest call I had to make since joining GSW.

"Capp, I'll need you to step up your game from what I saw out there tonight. Props to Slick for improvising to rescue the angle, because that promo was dying a slow death the way it kicked off. You're a key player and title contender, so I need to you perform like one!"

I hated highlighting negatives and scolding workers, but I couldn't help it here. Capp was getting complacent and if I let it continue, I'd risk blowing our big main event storyline because of him. Not that he seemed to care much, at least for now.

The room burst into cheers and Mobstar gave his long-standing teammate a big hug. 'digga wasn't the best wrestler or the most charismatic one, but Dead Men Walking had been a backbone of GSW's tag team division since day one and losing them would be a big blow. They had street cred and they could brawl around the place all night if need be.

"Gravedigga here had his last match tonight with GSW but I know he's gonna move on to bigger things. He and Mobstar already grabbed the L-Ring tag titles and frankly, I pity them and those of you who've signed to work there. You ever seen a Pistol Pete Hall match in Japan, you'll know working for me and Grimm here is hella easier than keeping up with his style. Just don't get too banged up getting stiffed over there, alright? Now go out and have some fun!"

The locker room dispersed, leaving just the massive figure of Brother Grimm in the middle. For a boss and a man with no background in the business, he was surprisingly involved with his employees. Sometimes it got in the way of things, but I'd take that over some soulless CEO that doesn't 'get' pro wrestling.

"You did a good job, Weston. Show was good, place was almost sold out and I like how you wrote out 'digga, even if my boys didn't end up winning the titles. What the hell was that B-Trayed sh*t though?"

I smiled at him, then cracked open a can o' beer. Just for the heck of it, I even took a big sip to add a pause and build up drama.

"People weren't buying his gangsta schtick, boss. Too generic. So after that Cindy shakeup, he's a lone wolf. Trusts nobody. Gonna take some time to make people understand the whole thing, so I figured a name change could help. At least Fro Sure isn't DJ Fro or something. Hell of an opening, by the way, you really lit the place up."

Grimm didn't seem amused. Probably hadn't smoked enough weed yet.

"I don't get what you're doing man, but I know it's working. Boone, JOJI, Notorious... Never would have thought, but somehow you made it work and without making a mess like them IPW motherf**kers. Speakin' o' which, guess who wasn't offered a contract extension tonight..."

I raised a suspicious eyebrow. Before I knew the name, there was a more important question to ask.

"Have you already signed them?"

Grimm's face burst into a wide smile. He just loved to be in control.

Given GSW's product, this means he can't hang around the main event scene for much longer, hence my rough spot now that his contract has come up for renewal.
