But would that be short lived? Or would their luck carry over into the night? Only time would tell as the daylight dwindled there were plans already being made….</p><p> ________________________________________________________________</p><p> </p><p> He hurried about making sure everything was in place for tonight. After getting everything together he looked at his watch. “<span style="color:#0000FF;">I wonder where he is</span>?”</p><p> ________________________________________________________________</p><p> </p><p> He sat silently, looking at pictures, weeping. How would was he supposed to live without her?</p><p> ________________________________________________________________</p><p> </p><p> He went to the office and grabbed his stuff. He turned the corner not realizing he was alone. They both followed at a distance, but were unaware of the other.</p><p> They rounded the corner and another joined behind one of the two following. All completely hidden from each other.</p><p> _______________________________________________________________</p><p> </p><p> He arrived at his house. But it was completely dark. No sign of anyone home. “<span style="color:#0000FF;">Interesting</span>.”</p><p> _________________________________________________________________</p><p> </p><p> He settled into the woods beside the house. Completely oblivious to the caravan of people that were in tow.</p><p> His target came out and turned when they got to the sidewalk and turned down the street. Walking right past the one watching him.</p><p> _______________________________________________________________</p><p> </p><p> He neared the corner where he normally went into the woods to get to his target. As he turned, he ran into a man hurriedly walking the opposite direction. </p><p> “<span style="color:#0000FF;">Excuse me sir. I have a important appointment</span>.”</p><p> “<span style="color:#008000;">No problem, have a good night</span>.”</p><p> He waited to the man was out of sight and slipped into the woods.</p><p> _______________________________________________________________</p><p> </p><p> He arrived at the place he needed to be. </p><p> _______________________________________________________________</p><p> </p><p> He knocked on the door. The owner came to the door and said, “<span style="color:#008000;">May I help</span> you?”</p><p> “<span style="color:#0000FF;">No but I can help you. I need you to come with me</span>.”</p><p> “<span style="color:#008000;">But why</span>?”</p><p> “<span style="color:#0000FF;">It’s very important my good man. It has to do with your wellbeing</span>.”</p><p> With that the home owner locked his house and followed the visitor.</p><p> _______________________________________________________________</p><p> </p><p> He snuck up to the side of the house. He could see his target thru the window. He pulled out his screwdriver and took the cover off the box. Reached in his bag and took some linesman pliers and cut the phone line. “<span style="color:#008000;">There that should do it</span>.”</p><p> </p><p> “<span style="color:#0000FF;">Hello yes, this is ….hello…WTH</span>???” He slammed the phone down. </p><p> _______________________________________________________________</p><p> </p><p> He laid his phone down with a puzzled look on his face. “<span style="color:#0000FF;">Wonder what that was about</span>?”</p><p> _______________________________________________________________</p><p> </p><p> He was watching from the corner. As he exited his vehicle, he started towards him. They arrived at the same place on the sidewalk as he turned from closing the door. </p><p> “<span style="color:#0000FF;">Excuse me, I didn’t see you</span>.”</p><p> “<span style="color:#008000;">It’s okay. I wasn’t paying attention to where I was walking</span>.”</p><p> “<span style="color:#0000FF;">Well have a good night</span>.”</p><p> “<span style="color:#008000;">To you as wel</span>l.”</p><p> He crossed the street at the next corner. The caravan surprisingly unnoticed by anyone, including each other, followed behind.</p><p> _________________________________________________________________</p><p> </p><p> He was out of breath. Maybe he was coming down with a cold or something.</p><p> ________________________________________________________________</p><p> </p><p> He walked up the house and looked in the window. The tv was on but he couldn’t see anyone in there. He decided to try around back for a way in. When he turned the corner, it happened in a flash. The man came from nowhere and grabbed him from behind. In a matter of seconds, the visitor was motionless. He slumped to the ground. The man dressed in dark clothing picked him up on his shoulders and carried him back to his vehicle and propped him up beside it. </p><p> ________________________________________________________________</p><p> He couldn’t go on. He felt there was nothing to live for. He opened the bottle of pills. He slowly swallowed every one of them. Then he went and laid down on her bed and quietly drifted off to sleep holding a picture of him and his sister.</p><p> ________________________________________________________________</p><p> </p><p> Damn he felt terrible. He hadn’t really felt himself all day. He thought to himself it must be something going around. The tv was on but he couldn’t see anyone in there. He decided to try around back for a way in. When he turned the corner, it happened in a flash. And then they cross paths with the van driver - do we assume that's Arrows' target? Or should we take from it that Arrows has been switched because he continues on, presumably to a different target? Does everyone else feel that red mafia didn't get a kill? Do we feel they were blocked? Could that be my target, the homeowner who locked their door? I think it's fairly standard that the scum lose their kill for a night when the hitman goes down. There's nothing that sounds like a scum kill attempt.
