Because of the mechanics of his role he had to get to 1v1 or 1v0 which is what he achieved. If there would have been a mafia member present then he could have won at 1v1v1 along with the mafia. If he had not chosen Teh_Showtime and instead went for say theelectrickg it would have been over as both SK and hider would have survived to end of game against one town.</div></blockquote><p> </p><p> I'll get over it. I'm just bitter that I was totally invested in those last couple of days, and that last day was crawling through the write up and voting patterns, double checking assumptions and seeing if I'd missed anything. It all came to naught - not because I couldn't get town town to believe me, not because of any counter evidence, but because the only way we could win was if the serial killer voted for himself. And I asked him if he wanted to!</p><p> </p><p> I just feel my investment in the game in that last day was wasted - we've all been there in mafia, but I feel this was different. I could have had the perfect day if BHK has kept his vote on Archer and we still would have lost, so why did I waste my time playing?</p><p> </p><p> Like I said, I'll get over it. Just not yet. It was a real blow to the town when Rayelek was caught up in the lukess11 situation. When he was finally taken out, it opened up the night alot for the evil powers.</p>

Honestly I thought all of the last 5 played very well. Kept the convo going despite being in the low numbers situation. Really fun to watch from afar, especially since I myself had it wrong.

BlueStar got a hard on for blocking Cappy, BHK got lucky catching Phoenix, MLT got lucky killing WC, Cappy killed himself because he's an idiot, Anti getting caught was inevitable. Only thing we could have done different was pick better kill targets, but you couldn't anticipate where the protections and jailers would be.</div></blockquote><p> </p><p> I know for me it was not luck catching Phoenix. He gave me major red flags day one and that was why he was investigated. I was actually hesitant to do so because it was his first game on here and if I was right I felt bad cutting his experience short.</p><p> </p><p> That was also partly why I did not feed the town my information on day two. Also, I did not want to make myself an outed target that early with three more powers left at my disposal. Then there was also the whole Astil/Derek situation was going on. I felt that I had a kill so I might as well use it on someone who was not Town aligned and not risk it on a guess.</p><p> </p><p> From the looks of it, it does not appear MLT's kill was lucky either. She saw exactly what I saw and what I brought up prior to WC's death. He was not talking much and WC is a talker and when he does not talk that causes me to believe he might not be on the up and up.</p><p> </p><p> In fact the majority of the Scum team were not really active in the in-game thread. None of you really seemed to try and blend with the town, with the exception of SF. </p><p> </p><p> Out of your team, I think the only two I was iffy about was SF and Cappy. Now granted I do not take notes and the reason why I thought you were scum initially was because I confused you and the Derek vote with MLT's vote for Mach. </p><p> </p><p> Meaning for some odd reason I thought you did a late vote on Derek. But once I had it in my mind that, that was what you did (I did not even realize I was wrong until you called me out on it) I thought you were some sort of non-Town aligned player (I did have you pegged as the SK) and it was because of what I thought you did on the Derek vote and your lack of posting.</p><p> </p><p> It would not matter if you picked other targets because it was your Team's collective lack of posting which made me think that there was something rotten in the state of Denmark. That was why I was very suspicious of Archer in the early part of the game as well. Because he was not helping the Town and he was not posting. The only reason why I came to doubt that Archer was the SK or Mafia was because of the Town result and how he masterfully claimed the phone call things as his own.</p><p> </p><p> In a game where there were roles I had never heard of, I figured that he probably was being truthful about the phones. </p><p> </p><p> Granted I was also really sure that BlueStar was the Don (Mainly because he kept on bringing up the Vig kill so I thought he was trying to get the Vig to out themselves), so what do I know...<img alt=":D" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/biggrin.png.929299b4c121f473b0026f3d6e74d189.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p>

<p>The irony in that the two most powerful roles for the town went head to head on Day 2. Leading to the lynching of the Jail Keeper. I set this game up with these two in mind as the center of everything. As you'll hear latter when I do the mafia, there had to be a strong town presence as well as a counter to the sk. Tho no one ever realized the importance of it. Well except The Archer. Not only was Astil the only protection from the nightly kills of the sk, he also had the ability to heal them if they had been injected the night before. Sadly, this never happened so there was no way for it to be revealed. </p><p> As the game went on, The Archer had 2 main targets he mentioned repeatedly Astil and Arrows. He ended up taking out both. By luck and waiting. Not only could he provide protection. He could lock up players he suspected of being up to no good. He also had a RNG ability where he would find out a small tidbit of info. Alignment, items carried, who they were targeting the night of lockup, role title, or unable to crack suspect. </p><p> </p><p> Sadly his only target was Antithesis. But Astil took him in and prevented the lockup. Thus allowing Antithesis to kill Imarevenant Night 1.</p><p> </p><p> Now to clear up the issue that happened on Day 2. And no offence the tunneling of ideas. Derek B was the Jail Keeper. I mean that was his title. Astil had some of the same characteristics, but the intent of that role was to be a specific doctor. He was the counter to the sk.</p>

And in case anyone wonders why I didn't mention the info part of my role, it was because it would have made me sound scummier and I believed I'd have hanged for sure. I mean... I did anyway, but it's always a good idea to give people fewer reasons.</p><p> </p><p>

<p>First thing I need to say is, outside of the WWF in Dott, this is most powerful mafia role wise I have ever put in a game. Now it is also the most unlucky mafia to have ever played a game I modded. I understand the frustration that built up. But and here it comes...Some of it was their own doing. Just as the town tunneled on the Astil/Derek B issue; the mafia let some preconceived notions or ideas form their perspective early on. That, added to the misreading of some of what was happening in the writeups fueled the paranoia. They never seemed to be able to buy a break. BHK1978's play that took the role blocker out night 2. moo_lit_tears using the absorbed kill on Wrestling Century to take the cop away. The hitman targeting the tracker with a body guard. The protection of Emark and Astil on same night which led to both eayragt and Rayelek being saved. And the second attempt on Arrows, again with Emark with the protection. Even tho it wasn't announced until start of day phase. Replacement was asked for after Day 1 had ended. He played very well. Just the damn luck. He kept his head up and fought to the end. His play actually deserved better than his results. I am very appreciative of both his replacing in quickly and the way he managed this team. He was tied up alot of the time when the others were in the forum. So he was adding to and then reading the discussions after the fact the majority of the time. mlt took him out the same night Destiny kicked his ass. Not a very good phase. But it was role protected so they couldn't kill him. And his voting abilities were to help the cause. Which he did a good job at. He had triggers that would lead him to coming into the fold. If he was targeted and there was a spot open(meaning mafia had lost a member) he would automatically assume his place in the family. Bringing with him a second night kill. But and as in his case he wasn't targeted, the moment the membership dropped to two he would come in. Unfortunately when he entered there was only 2 left and one of them was walking dead.</p><p> </p><p> Couple of notes: Astil could heal the mafia also. Though The Archer never hit them. He pegged Shadowedflames as Don Day 3 I believe it was. And had a good idea The Two was in also. </p><p> Also, Rev could have joined also. Depending on timing, had to be a spot open. The role of a serial killer is hard to balance to make it where whomever gets that role has a chance. You also can't make it to powerful that makes it unbalanced. That was my goal. I chose the poisoner aspect for the delayed kill. With all the roles that the town and mafia had I thought that made sense and gave him a fighting chance. Also with the inclusion of a direct counter to the serial killer and a way for there to be a backup (Astil, Rev) allowing his kill to go thru the regular Doc was reasonable. There are alot of setups where regular Docs don't stop them. It is common practice according to the wiki. I added the bonus of double kills after the 5th successful kill. Knowing this wouldn't start till Night 6. Never imagined that the stars would align and in a game where nothing went right for the group that was meant to do all the killing that he would wade thru everything and make it to the end. Let alone kill 12 players directly and another 2 indirectly. </p><p> </p><p> Note I will finish work duty calls</p>
