Anyone who doesn't know who he was he is the great lost talent of his era - a guy whose demons took him away even as his rep for incredible matches grew. The mod has his stats and lifestyle pretty spot on. He's 25, already a potential beast in the ring but he has a 40% Hard Drug issue and other issues too - in real life he was dead midway through 2010 from an OD - I'm going to see if I can stop that happening.

b) he hates me and goes off and dies. He will be lucky to survive 6 months let alone 4 years if he doesn't clean up.

Even if it's b) it should hopefully have the effect of getting others to improve their behaviour.

That's honestly one of the smartest ideas I've seen done in the drafts. Hopefully it ends up with A because Acid had the potential to be what Seth Rollins is now, as long as he had his drive, which was taken away in the first place by drugs, and he himself was taken by them before he could get his drive back.

HRTVAndrew usually does this, but he's not in this draft, so it's my turn to post the fallout questions. I'll probably post my answers later today:

- What was your goal in drafting your roster?

As it is for me most times, I'm obsessed with making a more mainstream 1995 ECW clone. Just a perfect variety showcase of most styles of wrestling.

- What pick(s) were you most excited about?

Early - Glad I got Lesnar and Edge. Surprised Samoa Joe fell so low (I don't know if it is his stats in this mod, but he's definitely a guy that gets scooped up way sooner if you are drafting like it is actually 2006).

Late - Mike Quackenbush. Wasn't sure if anyone was going to scoop him up, but I would've loved to see what he could've done as a plucky underdog in a big promotion.

- Are there any picks you regret?

Rhino is probably my least favorite pick.

- What were some picks made by others that you really liked?

People that I really wanted = willr0ck taking Rob Van Dam and the Dudleys, alpha taking Shelton Benjamin, Dr Avalanche taking Lita, NOVA taking The Great Sasuke, and oddly enough, Uncrewed taking Human Tornado.

- What were some picks made that puzzled you?

Destiny and I always clash in preferences, but especially this time. His top three picks could've been taken much later.

Trish Stratus in the 5th round and Lita in the 6th.

- What company other than your own would you be most likely to watch?

Especially in 2006, I am limited to pretty much American promotions so that strikes a lot of companies right off the bat.. I only watched WWE and TNA at the time and have gone back and watched a lot of Chikara and a little bit of ROH.

With that having been said, southside and alpha's roster are the only two that really interest me, with alpha's winning out because I prefer his undercard. Special mention to willr0ck's WCW, because he certainly amassed a lot of star power and I would probably be interested at first, but the work rate and sameness of styles would eventually be a turn off (Just like the real thing!)

- How do you see your promotion unfolding once you're able to play it?

I don't think I'm gonna answer that yet. I am tossing around the idea of doing a short format diary that runs about 12 shows over the year building up to a 'Mania like event.

- What was your goal in drafting your roster?

To draft an entertaining SE based promotion. I have never drafted, nor played with a promotion that runs an SE product so I wanted to get out of my comfort zone. I also picked the US b/c I primarily stay in Japan exclusively when I play TEW so I wanted to do something different. I think I have a roster that fits that mold pretty well but I'm most excited at the fact that aside from a couple of workers, the rest are all pretty solid in the ring as well.

- What pick(s) were you most excited about?

Definitely Sting and Taker for sure. Who doesn't want to see these guys work a program. Picking up Mark Henry and Lashley in rounds 11-12 and scooping up Trish before anyone else could. Trish is at 50% pop in the US with Lita close behind her. These two were more over then a lot of the men at this point so if your building a women's division Trish or Lita are obvious early round choices.

- Are there any picks you regret?

Not really, maybe Chris Masters but his pop was decent enough to justify where I picked him. He is just one of the weaker guys in ring on the roster but I have plenty of guys that can carry him to a decent match.

- What were some picks made by others that you really liked?

I really only focused on the other US based companies since we were all competing for the same guys and I like most everyone's early round picks. Everyone seemed to get at least two guys that were in that 70% and over pop range which helped balance out the talent at the top.

- What were some picks made that puzzled you?

It seemed like some people were drafting like it was 2018 for a few rounds. I'm all for stacking your roster with future talent but you might not be open for business in 10 years when they hit ME level.

- What company other than your own would you be most likely to watch?

I hate when people come off like a smark when asked this question or just type up some snarky answer b/c I feel like everyone had a plan when it came to putting together their rosters so I shouldn't be too critical so I'll say this, I look forward to seeing how every company turns out, whether it be to see how big they can get or just to see some brilliant cluster#$%& of a company completely self destruct. (coming from the guy using WCW)

- How do you see your promotion unfolding once you're able to play it?

Again I have never ran an SE company before so I'm not sure, I'm sure we will be ranked pretty high to start out with so I see WCW competing in the national battles relying on the top of the card for a couple years while eventually raiding some of the smaller promotions for talent. Bwahahahahaha, Andrew isn't here to be the heel this draft so I guess I'll take over that role.

- What was your goal in drafting your roster?

My plan from the beginning was to stick to juniors, but eventually it evolved into Japanese only juniors. I know for a fact that when the company goes on tour it'll bring in gaijin for at least that one month, which I'm fine with, I just wanted the base roster to be all Japanese, and I'm proud to say it is. I also wanted to always be able to fit people into stables within the promotion, and while maybe one or two of the stables are obviously just made with leftovers, I'd say 90% of the people are definitely in the right stable.

- What pick(s) were you most excited about?

Being able to grab Shibata, KENTA, and Kanemoto really early was great, they'll tear through both divisions before eventually splitting to fight for the World title. Shuji Kondo was also what I thought was a steal, if you can treat him right he's pretty much a better Shingo Takagi, so hopefully he can break out. Finally, besides grabbing some old dudes with high pop, I loved the trade I had with Larrikn. I realize now I'd have always done better with Marufuji, he fits the style better and because of that would grow in pop even faster than Ace. Plus, I got Mochizuki with him, and he's in the same boat as Shuji as someone who could easily break out and be in the promotion's next main event scene once all my main eventers get scooped up:rolleyes:.

- Are there any picks you regret?

The only thing I can really think of is maybe Shinzaki? He doesn't really fit anywhere so I kinda feel bad for him. Other than that I'm only really mad that I picked NOSAWA instead of Taichi in that round, it really doesn't make sense for him to be the only member of Gurentai without a PPA, and Taichi I wanna be able to hold onto when he eventually becomes the bastard he is today.

- What were some picks made by others that you really liked?

I really can appreciate how Larrikn turned a bad situation even better when he drafted Rocky Romero. It's obvious he drafted him mainly to have a program with Tiger Mask IV, but when he learned I already had IV, he adapted perfectly and picked up Davey Richards to form the No Remorse Corps. I'm also a fan of Avalanche picking all the Japanese guys he did, they'll fit perfectly with AAA.

- What were some picks made that puzzled you?

100% Avalanche getting CIMA at #4. I know I just said I like the stable you have, but your first choice was someone who was a relative unknown in Mexico compared to a lot of other people you could've started with. Also Lita and Trish going so early, and the Bashams being drafted to BHOTWG, although honestly none of us know what they could do, they might end up being the next Dr. Death and Albright for all we know.

Oh God.

They might become the Young Bucks of this save.

- What company other than your own would you be most likely to watch?

All the other Japanese companies, great rosters and greater match possibilites. Maybe WWA, ECW, and WCW, but it'd really only be occasionally. And for the rest, I don't think I'd watch. Maybe AAA but I can never get hooked to lucha for some reason, and I refuse to watch LT out of the fear someone could OD right on my TV.

- How do you see your promotion unfolding once you're able to play it?

I think it'll turn out pretty good to begin with, getting great ratings and growing in popularity, but once contract time comes up, I'm getting completely massacred.

- What was your goal in drafting your roster?

Initially, the plan was "lucha, but more work rate". That quickly turned into "WWVD?" - What would Vampiro do. Sleazy car crash Tijuana lucha libre. I don't know how well I succeeded, but it was fun thinking about. Ironically, I never planned to draft Vampiro, so I was just happy that he found a home in Lucha Toronto.

- What pick(s) were you most excited about?

Hard to say. Maybe Lita, because I had a very clear idea how I was going to push her, and getting her a mystery box pop boost was just icing on the cake. I would have been sad if I hadn't gotten La Park.

- Are there any picks you regret?

CIMA anchors a Japanese faction in my promotion which was something I really wanted to do, but it meant I missed out on Ultimo Guerrero who should have been a main eventer. That was a greedy pick and I kind of regret that. It gives my AAA a flavor, I was looking for but it would have been better business to pick UG.

- What were some picks made by others that you really liked?

Larrikn: Keiji Mutoh. One of my all time favorite wrestlers.

Alpha2117: I think Ricky Banderas is a bit underrated by the mod, but I still really like the pick. I was holding off taking him for a long time in the draft, until it was too late.

Uncrewed: Almost too many to choose from. Jushin Thunder Liger if I have to pick one.

southside_hitmen: Haku, because he would kill me with his mind if I said something else.

rufc4eva: The whole first 16 picks when rufc4eva took over salvaged that promotion, but an extra nod for giving Vampiro a good home. <img alt=":)" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/smile.png.142cfa0a1cd2925c0463c1d00f499df2.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" />

wshred: Samoa Joe was a strong pick, but there were several to choose from.

Destiny: John Morrison would have been a bit of a stretch for me, but I thought it was a good pick for DWA.

C0D3D2BLazy: I didn't follow the Japanese side of the draft very closely, but I know if I had gotten Sugiura in round 11, I would have been thrilled.

- What were some picks made that puzzled you?

I don't particularly like this question as I have to assume everyone have a plan for their draft picks. If they aren't the optimal guy for the product or the geographic location of the promotion, there is probably an idea how the wrestler is going to be used that I can't see. IF there is something that puzzles me it is not sending a short list if you're going to be absent for the first couple of rounds of the draft. So much is decided then, big names give identity to the promotion and carry the companies in national battles. Not picking when your turn is up is giving yourself such a disadvantage.

- What company other than your own would you be most likely to watch?

Catering to my personal tastes, all the Japanese companies look good, but in particular BHOTWG looks like it would be incredible.

- How do you see your promotion unfolding once you're able to play it?

Being all alone in Mexico, I think the company should do okay. I don't foresee world domination, but in our market, we should be able to make a good living.

It can put the other person in a weird spot (like I did with alpha in this draft with the MCMG) where they either draft them after I've sent my list and becomes a question of ethics or skip out on people that you wanted to draft to avoid the drama (which alpha graciously did). Usually I would try to send my shortlist to someone with a completely different product than mine, but that can be difficult because I like to draft a variety of guys and I would've been tipping my hand with just about anyone.

- What was your goal in drafting your roster?

To draft the most talented group of wrestlers in Japan and the world.

- What pick(s) were you most excited about?

El Generico & Dragon Kid, the women's division, Puro Bashams!

- Are there any picks you regret?

Probably picking Homicide instead of Takeshi Morishima, but I think I recovered from it. Instead of teaming Morishima with Yone, I'm teaming Yone up with Togi Makabe!

- What were some picks made by others that you really liked?

Nearly every Larrikn/C0D pick, wshred13 picking Samoa Joe. Fun fact, I was planning on taking Samoa Joe as my resident gaijin in Round 8, but wshred got in there before me.

- What were some picks made that puzzled you?

None really, maybe Destiny picking Tyler Black & Jon Moxley as his 1-2, but I certainly understand his logic behind the picks.

- What company other than your own would you be most likely to watch?

Larrikn's WCG, willr0ck's WCW, southside_hitmen's ROF

- How do you see your promotion unfolding once you're able to play it?

Hopefully with Nakamura, Kobashi, & Misawa I should have an early lead in the national battles, so it's all about building up Nakamura, Dragon Kid, & El Generico into future stars.

- What was your goal in drafting your roster?

I've never drafted either a historical mod nor the US before so I just played it be ear. I always wanted to draft younger so that whomever I drafted would have a chance to develop perhaps differently to the actual real world.

- What pick(s) were you most excited about?

The Rock - getting him essentially meant I could draft at will rather than for pop especially in a world where pop is so low.

- Are there any picks you regret?

Initially Naruki Doi because I thought his tag partner was still on the board but I was able to trade him to someone who would obviously use him and had a bunch of picks they din't really want. Maybe Ultimo Guerrero rnd 5 because most of the guys in that same bracket went in the next couple of rounds and I probably would have had a better fed for a McGuiness or Joe or Claudio than him when all was said and done.

- What were some picks made by others that you really liked?

WCG - Kota rnd 7

BHOTWG - El Generico exactly one pick before he would have been of the board in rnd 16

AAA - CIMA setting the cat amongst the pigeons in rnd 4, it caused people like me to take UG and I am sure caused scarmbling in the Japanese feds.

ROF - lots of good picks - Devitt rnd 10 just before I would have taken him was good.

LT - It's impossible to be critical of anyone who started about 20 rounds behind everyone else and got a workable roster. Did the best they could in a tough situation and kudos to them for it.

UWF - Edge rnd 2 because he def wouldn't of been there rnd 3, Joe rnd 6.

WCW - judged rightly and got lucky to get Taker and Cena first 2 rnds. Got as solid roster from that point to end up with really good depth.

DWA - Sometimes luck is on your side - I sent a list but people were out and he got Morrison whose potentially great rnd 7. Stupid cicadian rythyms, stupid sleepy me lol.

NOVA - Lots of good picks - KENTA rnd 2

- What were some picks made that puzzled you?

Look most of the on es I am going to mention are good picks but perhaps slightly early for when they went

WCG - Jun rnd 1

BHOTWG - Homicide rnd 8

AAA - Lita rnd 6

ROF - Harry Smith rnd 30 - he was probably better on a PPA and getting someone more established on written would have been better if he gets a bad destiny roll. Sums up how well their draft went that I'm nitpicking about taking a guy in the 30th rather than 31st rnd

LT - As I said before it's impossible to be critical of anyone who started about 20 rounds behind everyone else and got a workable roster.

UWF - Danielson rnd 4, at this point the stats simply aren't there to justify taking him before say Christain especially since they already had Edge.

WCW - Raven rnd 20 - he's pretty much done and his problems mean he would of been better left to the PPA rnds when cutting him is easier.

DWA - Those first 3 guys are three bad destiny rolls away from crippling the fed. Even with good rolls left themseleves a lot of work to catch up to everyone else taking guys who are essentially enhancement talents/openers at this point so early. Ended up with a decent roster though.

NOVA - A couple of guys who might size out rapidly like Go

- What company other than your own would you be most likely to watch?

Everyone ended up with a pretty good product. ROF is full of guys who were very much on my list.

- How do you see your promotion unfolding once you're able to play it?

I have a lot of great worker vets and some guys around 27 to 32 in their prime so I will be good to go straight away. Then I have Okada, Omega, Doane, Acid, End, Sydal, Chung, both Eagles, Xion, Perkins & Jigsaw - a couple of good destiny rolls out of those people who are largely already solid and my future should be secure two.

Send Trent Acid to rehab!

Secure overseas coverage.

Will scan the people undrafted for hot women, good workers or missed opportunities - there are always a few that fall through the cracks that are worth snapping up straight away.

Depending on finances will likely bring in Marek Brave, Fire Ant, Gulak, Stupefied, Player Uno, the SAT guys and some more people like that to try to get a future talent for cheap. Those people didn't make it big in the real world but theres enough there in their stats or gimmicks to make them worth a punt. If I get SAT and their cousin Amazing Red thats a trios team straight out of the gate.

I will raid some other feds too (hey the AI is dumb and will not fight for young guys). Tozawa, Jimmy Yang, Galloway, Amazing Red, TJ Wilson, Idol Stevens, Brodie Lee, Taichi were all on my list so I will probably take runs at them whilst they are on PPA elsewhere depending on finances and how it's going.

When good talent come up will at least bid for any I can use because at worst it will drive their price up. I dont care if the AI hates me - I want the AI to do stupid stuff and make bad decisions and thats one way to do it. Especially going to target the DWA because I think the AI will buy vets and leave their young talent out in the cold. I'd recommend any of you do the same with the WWA because the AI is not a great long term planner.

Most of all have fun with it. It's a game and games are meant to be fun. I'll probably run a watcher game initially to see trends and get a feel for things then try to better that position for the WWA myself when I play.

End Of The Year Update Time!!!

I'm almost done with broadcasting deals, I've put in everyone's companies and titles and events, I'm just getting started on rosters and tag teams/stables, haven't even touched popularity yet.

I'm hoping to have the database up on the 2nd/3rd of January is what I'm getting at.
