You lost 6 guys - Harris was pushed hard by WWA and was their champ most of the year so no surprise on him jumping and WCG tried to survive in Japan by poaching Cabana and Bernard. WCW is a poaching machine so Helms and Corino could be expected I guess. Viscera being taken early whilst tag champ meant it was all Billy Gunn all the time at the top of Lucha TO's card. They added the 2.0 guys who are worth feeding and a bunch of guys who maybe aren't. </p><p> </p><p> It sits 6th in pop in Canada behind the 4 US feds and ROF but could get past DWA with a little luck. Maybe past WWA with a lot of luck, the other 3 are pulling away from them pop wise. WWA started slow but passed DWA late in the year in pop in the US and Canada - they are way past them in Mexico so realistically its DWA or nothing in terms of getting past anyone in the next year to be honest. DWA probably suffered from the Hogan Overdose scandal which hurt their pop as near as I can tell as WWA passed them not long after. When Torrie Wilson & Melina are your 4th and 5th biggest stars when you tour the fed it's not the greatest sign and their show ratings went from high 60's to high 50's low 60's after his death. I assume those angles with him got that extra few ratings points and they have yet to recover from his death. DWA aren't dying but they look a bit sick right now.</p>

Lucha TO had started at Regional level but grown to Cult level. They were ranked the 10th out of the drafted companies, but grew to a stable level with solid fan bases (in the 60 POP region) in USA, Canada and UK. </p><p> </p><p> Overall the industry seemed quite stable five years into the save. willr0ck's WCW was ranked #1 and had been for basically the entire time. The only company that climbed significantly from their start was southside_hitmen's Ring of Fire that kept winning nearly all the awards except Female wrestler of the year which my AAA won most years. Ring of Fire moved up two or three spots in the ranking to #2. Chris Jericho won wrestler of the year every year except one when CM Punk won it instead. My top ranked wrestler most years was Tarzan Boy who went undrafted...</p><p> </p><p> TV deals may have helped companies get a good start, but one-two years in, almost every tv deal had been dropped and replaced by other deals, and nobody seemed to particularly suffer. Directv was notably such a case where two years in, all the companies that started with PPV deals there had been thrown out, and instead replaced them with some less demanding broadcaster.</p><p> </p><p> Another thing I noticed was that the typical slaughter of the weaker companies' rosters never happened. There was some movement for sure, but not that thing you often see where all the top names from one company are poached one by one to leave for a bigger company. Maybe as every company settled at Cult level, no promotion was able to leverage any particular pull on the talent.</p>

I think you are right in regards to the poaching thing. In the watcher game I ran DWA suffered badly near the end of the first year but that seemed to firmly revolve around Hogan dying. The sometimes stupid AI doesn't help. Lucha TO is a good example - it has Angle and Orton so the belt goes onto Billy Gunn for a whole year. With me The Rock is used as a Authority Figure in the WwA and it grows super slow - I just played 2 weeks as a human and the two shows are basically better rated than the whole year of the AI. Admittedly that first show was loaded for bear with Batista vs The Rock for the title as the Main Event.

In my save, Brock Lesnar, Edge, Undertaker and Big Show are the stars of Lucha TO while Randy Orton left for Mexico and John Cena who for a while was a main event star is currently unemployed... LA Park is also part of Lucha TO after walking out of AAA for unemployment. There is one constant though: Lucha TO Azteca champion is Billy Gunn... <img alt=";)" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/wink.png.686f06e511ee1fbf6bdc7d82f6831e53.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /> Even stranger I can feel though is that Campeon de Campeones is Escoria, another pickup from AAA. He's not NEARLY the most popular guy in Lucha TO, but that does not seem to matter.</p><p> </p><p> Lucha TO's good shows rate just shy of of an A- rating. Best match: John Cena over Edge in August 2009 got a 99 rating, same did Edge vs Kurt Angle in October 2009 (no contest). Best attendances are all happening in 2010, most selling out a 7,500 seat building, but the record was 8,910 for a Lucha TO War Room in November 2010. Size: Canada: 71, USA mainland 70, Hawaii & Puerto Rico 65. Mexico: ~15, UK 70, Japan: 13, Europe ranges between 77 and 13 (some spotty tv coverage). New Zeeland 70, Australia 13. The popularity is pretty much stable, though it has grown one or two points the last year in USA and Canada, so no obvious sign of decline.</p>

<p>2 months in and I'm having a ball - it's an easy formula</p><p> </p><p>

Made Austin Commissioner - he talks and angles go up in ratings</p><p>

Use the Rock in ring a bit but on the mic a heck of a lot.</p><p>

Use Jade ''Freaking'' Chung as much a possible and angle and match ratings go up </p><p> </p><p>

That last one may seem odd but she is golden. I hired a bunch of good looking girls, like April Hunter, Talia Madison, Daffney, MsChif, Cheerleader Melissa and Shelly Martinez (more on her in a moment) and with Keibler off doing Dancing With the Stars (or in game a movie) Jade Chung has become my go to girl in Eye Candy matches. She's becoming a star rapidly.</p><p> </p><p>

Hired a bunch of workers on 3 month PPA contracts to see who might have chemistry - discovered that Andrade Cien Almas is 16 and in the data under his original name! </p><p> </p><p>

Got a whole heap of lucky chemistry rolls. In real life Batista and Shelley Martinez ended up in a feud that lasted a decade - in this game they are as thick as thieves and they have great chemistry when she manages him. A few nice Tag results too including hires Elijah Burke and Matt Striker which means the New Breed is a thing here.</p><p> </p><p>

Oh and Trent Acid appears to no longer be a Hard Drug addict - I kept testing him weekly, he kept failing, I kept fining him and the affable bugger kept improving his behaviour and being happy about it. He's the top guy on my Stars of the Future options so I am doing my best to keep him alive and happy and it's working. Lucha TO got him on PPA too so he's working in the US, Canada and Japan. </p><p> </p><p>

Lucha TO hit Cult within 2 months (faster than DWA or WWA). TJ Wilson broke up from Nattie and hates Vince McMahon, a major name just jumped from NOVA to the WWA on a PPA contract (I have no idea why, I put in the offer and he took it), Drew Galloway hates Dusty Rhodes and left ROF and is on a PPA with WWA after lapsing with DWA too. He's acting like a dick in the WWA too - it comes from pushing really young guys early I believe - those negative behavioural traits can escalate quickly. I'm trying to keep a lid on it but his whining every day in my email box is getting on my nerves - I am not making a 20 year old with moderate skills a Main Eventer. The only person more annoying is Faby ''I'm a star in my other fed'' Apache! </p><p> </p><p>

I actually quite enjoy having Drew & Faby Apache being pains in my butt because the rest of my roster are affable to the point of singing folk songs and having picnics!</p><p> </p><p>

Favorite event - ECW hires Sable, next day ''Enemies in ECW'' headline as Jeff Hardy and Sable begin a feud - even by her standards that was quick!</p>

<p>Thanks again for your efforts with Drafts Uncrewed - I am having a blast with this one.</p><p> </p><p>

One thing Mammoth probably needs to look at in SS is the pop in the US - ROF, and the three Japanese feds get bigger crowds than WCW and the surging WWA in my game. It's especially bizarre given who I've poached. I am channelling my inner Vince by signing anyone with a pulse. Some people have made out like bandits because of it - CIMA got a ridiculous offer from AAA and Marufuji is going to be getting well over 20K because I've got the three Japanese feds all panicky with KENTA & Naruki Doi already rolling in Harajuku girls thanks to their massive payrises.</p>

<p>I had to post this because it was too hilarious not too … Stephanie McMahon starts the game pregnant … as with real life she gives birth to a baby girl - then the hilarity begins</p><p> </p><p>

- Stepahine McMahon and Triple H divorce</p><p>

- Stepahnie McMahon ends up in the same fed as a certain individual</p><p>

- Mon Week 3 Dec 2006 the newswire comes up with this news - Stephanie McMahon is now dating … wait for it … CM Punk! <img alt=":p" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/tongue.png.ceb643b2956793497cef30b0e944be28.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p><p>

I have seen the game throw up some wonderful random things over the years but that is perhaps the funniest most unlike the real world thing I've ever seen it do.</p>

<p>So I completed a year of playing and as usual a Human can achieve much better results than the AI playing a company. The AI in game is fine but a human can make long term plans and other things to try to improve your performance that the AI just doesn't think off. I regularly run 10 minute angles in pre show to try to build up things like Acting, Microphone, Menace and Sex Appeal.</p><p> </p><p>

As you can see there has been a ton of talent movement. WWA and WCW have both been relentless in trying to obtain the best rosters. Most of WCW's original top stars jumped to WWA but WCW raided AAA, ECW, DWA and Lucha TO. In Japan the Freelancer thing has seen a lot of talents moving pretty regularly. WWA has also brought in a lot of Japanese talent over the year and have a few young guys down in WWAA in Australia too.</p><p> </p><p>

DWA and Lucha TO have been up and down like Yo-Yo's between Cult and regional and they have lost people whilst regional when their contracts come up and then signed new ones when they get to Cult.</p><p> </p><p>

In terms of Poaching - American Dragon (Danielson), Claudio Casta (Cesaro), CM Punk, Edge, Gail Kim, Hiroshi Tanahashi, Joey Mercury, Melina Perez, John Morrison, John Cena, Jushin Thunder Liger, Kota Ibushi, Masato Yoshino, Micie James, Milano Collection A.T, Natalie Neidhart, Rebecca Knox, Nigel McGuiness, Osamu Nishimura, PAC, Paul Burchill, Pegasus (Fergal Devitt), Ron Killings, Steve Corino, Shinsuke Nakamura, Trish Stratus, Volador Jr, Sting & The Undertaker have all jumped to the WWA thanks to my Ted Turner like willingness to give them long contracts at inflated rates. It might mean it takes longer to make a lot of money but I already have 3 areas above the National threshold after hitting cult in May. </p><p> </p><p>

I started a development fed in Australia WWAA - and American Angel (Sarah Del Rey), BxB Hulk, Daisuke Sasaki, Dean Ambrose, Seth Rollins, Marek Brave (the 3rd member of the Shield down there), Drew McIntyre, Sheamus, El Generico, Kevin Steen, Jay Lethal, JTG & Shad Gaspard, Matt Classic (Colt Cabana), The Miz & Umaga are all down there after leaving other companies</p><p> </p><p>

Other notables down there are The Colony, The Good Brothers, Bollywood Vice (Sonjay Dutt, Jinder Mahal and Gama Singh Jr), Faby Apache, The S.A.T, Hollywood & Vine (Joey Ryan & Scott Lost), all three members of the Psycho Circus, Super Smash Bros, Daivari, Shiima Xion & TJ Perkins, Spud, Frany the Mobster (as the Beast who keeps getting voted the best prospect in wrestling), Tommy End, Ryan Eagles & Spud.</p><p> </p><p>

An amazing signing was the now divorced Stephanie McMahon who was the perfect Manager for the Japanese workers as she can talk which helped them get traction in the US.</p><p> </p><p>

Top 20 of the 500</p><p> </p><p>

1 Edge (ECW/ WWA)</p><p>

2 Kenta Kobashi (BHOTWG)</p><p>

Oh and Trent Acid may well end up leading my company - he's in rehab right now and toured with WCG before signing a full time written with me. He Mercury & Sydal are all rehabbing for their issues but Batista, Edge, Shelly Martinez, Jindrak, Charlie Haas, Ron Killings, John Morrison all improved after being fined, Acid was mellow and happy the first 5 fail & fines and became loyal when he went to rehab the 6th time he was tested as did Mercury who was sent to rehab after his 2nd fail. Sydal kept failing and having nothing noteworthy occur so it was off to rehab and it was the first time he was Happy about my treatment of a fail. It helps to have a 100% Happy Locker room with people Happy before you test of course because they tend to react better from my experience. Acid is now amazin in ring after his time in WWAA and he's the Hottest of Hot prospects.</p>

<p>So finished year 2 (2007) and WWA remains at Cult size with 7 over 65% importance but still unable to get that 8th pesky area up to 65%. That said it is still the most fun I've ever had playing TEW.</p><p> </p><p>

The 2nd year threw up some interesting developments</p><p> </p><p>

- Michael Cole and Pat Patterson both died</p><p>

- Chris Jericho lost his mind and went on an anti Bush rant that led to him becoming Toxic (well in game it was seen as critical of the troops but given it's 2007 that's George W's endless excursion into the Middle East. WCW promptly fired their biggest star</p><p>

- Approximately a month later WCW was caught in a backstage Sex Scandal involving interns.</p><p>

In other words WCW is in a world of pain </p><p> </p><p>

On the other hand Lucha TO grew to Cult and finally stayed there and joined World - 1. </p><p> </p><p>

Indy companies 2CW and ICW folded but Japanese Joshi company LCW is ranked 7th in importance and was the most improved company</p><p> </p><p>

Wrestler – Edge - WWA</p><p>

Company – WWA</p><p>

Team – Strong Style Samurai (Shinsuke Nakamura & Milano Collection A.T) – WWA</p><p>

Match of the Year – Shawn Michaels def Batista at SOTF 22 - WWA</p><p>

Show of the Year – SOTF 24 – WWA</p><p>

Young Wrestler of the Year – Kazuchika Okada – WWA</p><p>

Veteran Wrestler – Sting – WWA</p><p>

Female – Dark Angel – AAA</p><p>

Most Improved Company – LCW (Japan)</p><p>

Indy – Heavy Metal</p><p>

Manager – Stephanie McMahon – WWA</p><p>

Announcer – Jim Ross – WWA</p><p>

Colour – Jerry Lawler – WWA</p><p>

Referee – Charles Robinson – WWA</p><p> </p><p>

You will note a couple of names poached from elsewhere to the WWA. I am doing an Eric Bischoff and offering money to most anyone with talent and a pulse when their contracts come up - some I sign some I don't but it makes the world a heck of a lot more volatile.</p><p> </p><p>

The top 25 wrestlers in the Power 500 are all with WWA, I've noted the top ranked wrestler next to each company. WWAE & WWAA are development companies in Iberia and Eastern Austrlia for WWA</p><p> </p><p>

AAA – Cult 6th Katsuyori Shibata - 40</p><p>

BHOTWG – Cult 8th – Minoru Suzuki 26th</p><p>

DWA – Regional 9th Sweet Saraya - 317</p><p>

ECW – Cult 5th Paul London - 41</p><p>

FCW – Local 17th Seth Delay - 390</p><p>

LCW – Regional 7th Yuki Miyazaki (Police Wo-Man) - 255</p><p>

Lucha Toronto – Cult 11th Dragon Kid - 52</p><p>

MMWF – Small 12th Portia Perez – 416</p><p>

NPWA – Small 14th El Valiente - 286</p><p>

ROF – Cult 3rd Austin Aries - 51</p><p>

Super NOVA – Cult 10th Naomichi Marufuji - 127</p><p>

WCG – Cult 1st Naruki Doi - 94</p><p>

WSU – Local 16th Lorelei Lee - 448</p><p>

WCW – Cult 2nd Rey Misterio Jr – 38</p><p>

WWAA – Regional 13th Rhyno - 140</p><p>

WWAE – regional 15th Ricky Banderas (Mil Muertes) - 100</p><p>

WWAA – Cult 4th - Edge 1st</p><p> </p><p>

As you can see most companies top guys were drafted elsewhere in the draft but it's been a volatile world</p><p> </p><p>

Draft wise some of my picks turned into beasts - Okada was ranked 2, Christian 3, Otani 4, Batista 7, The Rock 8, Shelton Benjamin 12, Nick Dinsmore 14, Chris Hero 18, Osamu Nishimura (who I picked up straight after the draft) 19, Charlie Haas 21, Kenny Omega 23, AJ Styles 28, Adam Pearce 32, Matt Morgan 37, Mar Jindrak 45, Lance Storm 54, Kenny Doane 60, Delirious 65, Ultramantis Black 67, Super Dragon 73, Trent Acid 87. Pearce is amazing at this point his psych is 92, he's above 66 in brawling, chain, mat & submissions and he's just a workhorse - he has the chasima of a brown paper bag but much like in real life he's a phenomenal talent weighed down by an almost sucking void like lack of charisma. Jade Chung is the most over woman in the world - she still cant wrestle much but her mic work is sensational at this point</p><p> </p><p>

Not everyone worked though - Billy Boy just never connected and is now over in WCW. Billy is actually the only one of my original draftees who has left the WWA family. The rest are all still plugging away although some seem to have got ordinary destiny rolls and despite developing decent enough skills don't look like becoming stars. Strangely April Hunter, Talia Madison The Super Smash Bros & Delirious all are on my Next Big things and Hot Prospects lists. Both lists are headed by Trent Acid who after cleaning up has become freakishly good, totally loyal to the WWA and super happy with his new squeeze French Canadian Manager D'Vyne as well as having great chemistry with his manager SoSay and tag partners Norman Smiley & Johnny Kashmere. That's the strange thing with the WWA - I've poached a lot of stars but a bunch of people who never amounted to anything in the real world look like becoming big stars in this world. Which is probably why I am enjoying how it's playing out. Right now the thing I'm amazed at is the Shield are down in Australia and whislt Rollins & Ambrose are good it's Marek Brave who threatens to become a star. Marek freaking Brave! A guy I only hired to try to encourage Rollins to jump to the WWA in the first place is turning into a stud rather than the guy who runs the Black & Brave training school like in our world. </p><p> </p><p>

Lots of obsure people coming good except for ICW's most popular wrestler Bubblegum who was mistaken for an escaping Jewel Thief and shot multiple times - the company closed a month later. Yet Rockin Rebel and Chris Benoit survive - the world is seldom fair.</p><p> </p><p>

Thanks again to Mammoth and Uncrewed and everyone involved in this draft because I am still having a blast with this one.</p>
