Anyone got a mini update for April? This would be a great time to start a game since the cancelled/postponed shows make booking wide open moving forward if you're trying to stick to realism. (I tend to book out all scheduled UFC fights before starting to matchmake myself)

I think the MMA Hall of Fame needs to be redone for this mod.

 

1) Can I ask why Brock Lesnar is inducted into the MMA HOF in this mod? Is 5-3 with 1 NO contest really a HOF career?

 

2) GSP, a guy I and many others consider the GOAT is not in the HOF or listed as a future inductee in this mod.

 

3) Stephan Bonnar is not an mma HOF guy either.

 

4) Anderson Silva is not listed as a future inductee either. Another guy in some people's GOAT contention.

 

5) Jose Aldo also deserves future inductee.

 

6) BJ Penn probably deserves future inductee status as well.

 

7) If Sakuraba and Rampage are in, Wanderlei has to be as well.

 

Other inclusions and exclusions are debatable, but those 7 I found pretty egregious

I deleted Mairbek Taisumov's contract with the UFC when I made this because it sounded like he had left the promotion but I just saw that his contract was just up and that he has re-signed so be sure to add that in your game.

I agree with 6 of those 7. Heck, GSP should even be inducted already, and BJ should already be inducted for sure. I respectfully disagree about Lesnar. While his career was not long, it was meaningful. He will eventually be inducted by UFC and will likely make other lists as well. I see no reason for him not to already be in one in the mod. I think you are spot on about the rest.

Brock's MMA record alone doesnt qualify him for the HOF, however his star power and the fact that he won the UFC heavyweight title def helps out the scenario. I mean he was what a top 3 draw of all time in the UFC? Thats the world we live in now lol

I'm having a bit of trouble with the amount of names in the database. It says that there's only 3983 names available for deletion and use. It displays over 69 thousand available to use, though. Could anyone upload this database with a smaller or less cluttered name database?

 

Edit: I got it to work better in the game by removing the 3,000 or so names from the database.

Lesnar deserves to be in, was the biggest draw of all time and is now only behind McGregor. I agree with the rest.</p>

Sorry to keep doing this but I made another quick update to the June data. I created about 10 or 15 new fighters and added in OKTAGON MMA. Hope you all enjoy. I'm not sure if UFC is going to take pictures of the fighters this week, they did last week but hadn't in the ones before, but if they do I'll get those cuts done and post them.
