RingRider
Too bad that "Mean" Gene passed away. A classic wrestling personality and they'll never make another one like him.
ThatChizzle
RIP "Mean" Gene Okerlund <img alt="" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/frown.png.e6b571745a30fe6a6f2e918994141a47.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" />
KeyserSoze
RIP "Mean" Gene. I've very fond memories as child of him. As I read he was the serious "yang" while people as Macho Man, The Ultimate Warrior or Hulk Hogan made their.. things.
dvdWarrior
I was sad to see this in the news today. Mean Gene was (obviously) a big part of my childhood and my teenage years. He'll surely be missed.
BHK1978
I will always remember him for when he would do spots that were tailored to the local area. I live in Rhode Island and there is this section called Federal Hill (basically Providence's Little Italy) and every time Mean Gene would pronounce it Feed-A-Real Hill. My friends would always laugh about that every time he would say it. I am sad to hear of his passing.
Wrestling Century
That sucks. While I didn't grow up with "prime" Mean Gene from the WWF, I sure do remember his phone line! And I remember prime Mean Gene from old recordings, and now, the WWE network. He was, nay, is, the best interviewer I've ever seen. No matter how goofy or over-the-top an interviewee was, he was the glue that held it all together, even during the WCW days.
