BHK1978
- Omega vs Mox © was a MOTY Contender. I was so engrossed I started rooting for Mox to win even though Omega made more sense from a booking perspective. Callis you dirty dog! If that was a MOTY contender then wrestling must have been really bad this year. That match was horrible. I was not going to post my opinion about it because I did not want people to think I was trolling. I did not want to be told to stay out of the thread if I do not have a pro AEW opinion (Which how come nobody ever took that stance in the WWE or TNA threads? Why is the AEW thread the only place where negative opinions on the company are not allowed?). But yeah that match was just not very good. The ending was beyond bad and the whole sitting in the chair thing was just dumb. Where was the logic to that? How could that make any sort of sense? Why would you do that in the middle of the match? Why not go for the pin? Yes I am not a fan of Omega, but I do like Moxley and I watched the match. Well mainly because nothing else was on, but I also wanted to see if maybe I was wrong. Maybe if I saw Omega in a match with someone I like, then maybe I could say, "Hey this was not that bad." But no, they just reinforced my opinion. The funny thing is that part that was really bad was Moxley's doing. He was the one who brought the chairs in. It is always good to see Sting. But I am not sure what they can do with him. I don't think he can wrestle anymore after what Seth Rollins did to him, though I could be wrong. What other roles could he possibly fill? I am not sure if he will even bring eyeballs to the promotion. He did not do it for TNA and that was when he was still able to wrestle. I am not sure if he will even bring eyeballs to the promotion. He did not do it for TNA and that was when he was still able to wrestle. The sitting in the chair spot was Moxley's head going out of the game. Notice that Mox jumped Omega from behind at the contract signing, despite there having been no proof that it was Omega who jumped Mox the week before. We don't know who jumped him, it probably wasn't Omega but Mox seems to believe it was even though the confrontation with Kingston told us that he doesn't know who did it. Why stare down Eddie if you know Omega did it? Perhaps it was somebody Omega put up but the rivalry was made personal when the Champion lost their head. He wanted to grind Omega into the dust instead of simply beating him. Remember when Khabib fought McGregor and we all assumed that it would be a fight on the mat, but then in the third round Khabib just stood up and went blow for blow with McGregor? That was what Moxley did, he put aside the advantage to try and prove a point. Only the difference is that wrestling matches aren't scored on points so proving dominance counts for little in this particular arena. It's all about the 1, 2, 3 and Mox forgot about detail, he lost his professionalism. Mox had also started to believe his own hype, his promos went from him being a fighting champion who would take on all comers to gradually starting to talk himself up as the best wrestler in the world. He had started to believe he was invincible and that carelessness was the reason he didn't put Omega away before the Cleaner could enact his Plan B. Callis bailed him out, but Mox found out that a competitor like Omega only needs an inch and they can take a mile. There's no way Mox should have let it get to that point, the entire story was that Mox was superior but simply unable to put his ego and his emotions aside to get the job done. I liked it, but you are entitled to your opinion of course. As for Sting, he will wrestle. At least once, anyway. He's listed on the active roster as a competitor. Having Sting on board is yet another example of AEW signing a popular guy just to put other wrestlers in their stratosphere. Jericho and the Inner Circle, Matt Hardy and Private Party, Taz and Brian Cage pulling in Ricky Starks and Will Hobbs, Alan Angels and Preston Vance being with Mr Brodie Lee and the rest of the Dark Order, Cody and the Nightmare Family. They'll probably stick Darby Allin with Sting in some way, I think they'll have a match for the TNT title since Darby can do all the moving and bumping. They definitely had Sting notice that Darby only painted one half of his face...
liontamer
I don't really watch either brand at this point, but was wondering how the follow up with Omega on impact went. I've seen sting all over facebook, but nothing about the crossbrand stuff. It's doubtful given his shirt, but maybe sting was even there on behalf of impact
milamber
I'm ok with someone not liking AEW as much as me. The match was very NJPW style... shades of Kenny vs Okada and Mox vs Suzuki. Plus they threw in the classic WWE style interference which served the dual purpose of giving Kenny some much needed heat for his heel turn and to setup the new partnership with Impact. Basmat01
Omega on impact was a waste of time. just a pre-tape in a bus. Impact also jobbed out there own world champion by calling Omega the real world champion to his face lol

Jaysin
<p>I enjoyed the promo myself. Don was a mega heel and Omega finally cut a decent promo. </p><p> </p><p> If you thought it was going to be anything other than a pre tape, that's on you. milamber
<p>- Young Bucks vs TH2 was a great fast-paced match.</p><p> - Loved the Darby promo. Sting's entrance and theme are top tier. Cody would get so much heat if he turned on Sting for stealing his limelight.</p><p> - Varsity Blondes vs FTR was good. Hangman corpsing lol.</p><p> - 10 vs Dustin was disappointing. I expected them to put 10 over more. I like when Uno gets a chance to talk. Seven lol.</p><p> - The Shaq/Brandi segment was ok. The Inner Circle segment was entertaining. Wardlow speaks!</p><p> - Kingston's Crew vs Archer & Lucha Bros was good. Multi-woman segment!</p><p> - Abadon was Price was a solid squash. I loved the kendo stick to the head and sit-up.</p><p> - Helicopter entrance for Kenny! Never get tired of the egotistical introduction. Don is a magnificent a-hole.</p><p> - MJF vs Cassidy was my MOTN. Top class limb targeting and selling. Miro lol.</p>
Captain Kayfabe
My observations & thoughts from Dynamite: * TH2 can really bring it in the ring. Angelico's moves & transitions are smooth like butta. Really hoping they are showcased on Dynamite more often. * I can see Cody turning on Sting potentially. Really cool to see both of them in the same ring. You have to wonder: if WCW never went out of business, would they have potentially wrestled each other multiple times by now? Perhaps as early as 10-15 years ago? * It was cool seeing Sting pointing out the parallels between him & Darby up in the rafters with the face paint. * Liking what I'm seeing out of the Varsity Blondes. Pillman Jr looks like a star & it's amazing how much he resembles his father. * I loved the Evil Uno Seven reference! * Shaq low-key dunking on Brandi was great. It was like he was kind of egging her on, then he'd pull back, then he'd give it to her again lol * Archer is impressive. Big & agile. Hope they book him stronger. I love the Lucha Bros, but every time Fenix dives out of the ring I cringe, expecting it to go badly for him. Happened again this match with that bad landing... * Omega has the cocky, smarmy heel act down well. his best promo that I can recall since AEW started. Callis is an amazing promo. * Happy that MJF prevailed. The ring gimmick is designed for a guy like that. Don't really know what it would have done for Cassidy. I find Orange entertaining, but can't really see him as a top guy. Nice psychology around the work on the fingers. * Miro is a beast. They've really made him look strong the last two weeks between him destroying Orange in this match and the performance in last week's battle royal. milamber
I just read the episode of Impact with Omega doubled it's normal viewers, he's back next week and will be on at least 1 ppv. They did over 50,000 on twitch, and over 4 times that for the youtube replay in the 1st 24 hours (almost as much as AEW Dark). This week what they filmed was added to what had already been taped weeks ago. I assume they are back to taping again leading to the PPV and Kenny will appear live... which concerns me if reports of poor COVID protocols are true. Jaysin
His stepfather died That's a shame! I lost my dad two and a half years ago and it still wears on me. On the topic of Dynamite: I LOVED the Sting and Cody segment. Sting pointing at Darby was very cool to me. It was really disappointing that Omega and Callis rehashed their Impact promo instead of saying anything new. Left a sour taste in my mouth. It was basically a condensed version of the Impact promo. Turtle kid lol. - PAC! - 6v6 tag match was solid. - SCU vs The Acclaimed was solid. The rap battle was fun. I like that 3 new tag teams got a push on the same show. - Diamante & Ivelisse vs Swole & Deeb was solid. - Janela vs Omega was good. Callis and Kenny commentary lol. Omega vs Fenix is going to be sick. Long build to PAC vs Omega please. Solid show
