This little talk seemed to not be as one-sided as their one from earlier as Adrienne gave a rebuttal. Rollins seeks to rally with a few cheap shots not seen by the official and a quick use of his speed that helps him gain a few key moves over South. As the match progresses however, South takes a major advantage with a few power moves in back to back succession that send the champion reeling to the corner of the ring. As South looks to take advantage, a video is shown on the the large titan-tron that shows AWF starlet, Mariana.</p><p> </p><p> This prompts her boyfriend, Garrett South to stop what he is doing and see her start to undress which gets some cheers from the crowd in attendance as they get to witness this video. South quickly exits the ring and tries to locate Mariana as he sprints to the back in hopes of stopping the feed. The official calls for the bell as the video stops just as we see Mariana drop the final pieces of her garments. Derrick Rollins, beaten up and barely able to stand, is given his AWF United States championship and declared the winner of this third match. The crowd, both upset with the video ending and Rollins winning, rain down boos that start to drown out the Champion's theme song.</p><p> <strong>Grade: B-</strong></p></div></blockquote><p> </p><p> <strong>Thomas Aria:</strong> AWF starlet, Mariana on video? Immortal Warrior takes on Jean-Claude Giroux and rumors from the Giroux camp is that he will be without Adrienne at ringside. I spent the entire past six days tracking down those with information and have yet to find who is responsible. </p><p> </p><p> He pauses as Mariana slides a bit closer to his side. He looks clearly into the camera with a intensity in his eyes that challenges anyone in the back.</p><p> </p><p> <strong>Garrett South:</strong> When I find you, there will be no remorse. I will not hold back on the punishment you will receive. You seem happy to take in the approval of these people, happy to lower yourself to another mask under this persona of a “good” demon. Adrienne is not her normal self at ringside, no cheap tactics to give Jean a edge, but rather a actual cheer-leading performance from her as she tries to lead the crowd in a cheer and only being able to after they see a few shots of her undergarments through her skirt. The match takes a real turn as Adrienne climbs the apron to distract the ref, but instead draws Jean attention as he wants her off the apron and to leave ringside. This distraction opens up a rally for Immortal Warrior who sends Jean to the canvas with a lariat and follows up with a Running PowerSlam, securing victory for himself. Rollins and Hawk start the match out, Rollins using his quickness to take some advantage and Hawk countering with his patented power moves that send Rollins reeling to his own corner, eventually getting Dolla into the match, much to the delight of Ieshia and Tyrannus at ringside. Dolla baits Hawk into some rookie mistakes and sends the face of AWF rolling back to his own corner in order to tag in Garrett South, which prompts Dolla to tag out to Rollins and retract to the safety of the apron. </p><p> </p><p> South and Rollins give a mirror of their past matches, showing that they have learned from each other as South goes for Southern Justice twice, but finds nothing and Rollins looking for the Rollins Stone. Both men simply stare at each other as the crowd gives them a round of applause for their excellent sequence and then they trade strikes. Lefts and Rights are thrown until eventually Rollins falls to the canvas, exhausted and out of it. South looks to pick him up, but is interrupted when Mariana runs out to ringside covered only in a towel, screaming South's name. South turns his back and Hawk attempts to speak with the distraught Mariana as Rollins suddenly rolls up South for a quick pinfall and gets the three count and win for his team. Quickly exiting the ring and going for his title, Rollins makes a beeline for the crowd as Hawk, Mariana and South are jeered at by The Dolla Club and the show comes to a close. </p><p> <strong>Grade: B-</strong></p></div></blockquote><p> </p><p><strong> Thomas Aria:</strong> It is a madhouse around here. AWF Shockwave, Wednesday, Week 3, January 2016

Venue: CT- Star Airlines Centre

Show Grade: C+

 

The show starts with AWF United States Champion, Derrick Rollins standing in the ring with a microphone in one hand and another gripping the belt around his waist. The crowd greets this with boos as the champion cracks a smile, egging on the taunts before speaking as loud as possible into the microphone.

 

Derrick Rollins: I am 2 and 1 against Derrick South. A near perfect record in our best of five series, but I have yet to be offered the choice to choose our match for New Year, No Limits. Why is this? AWF management? AWF universe?

 

He stands in the ring, waiting on a answer to his hypothetical questions and as he goes to speak again, he is interrupted by unfamiliar rock music blasting though the arena and a unfamiliar face making their way out to the ring. The crowd gives a average amount of cheers as the enigma makes his way into the ring.

 

 

Derrick Rollins: Who do you think you are? Interrupting a Champion, someone so above you that I Could-

 

Rollins is cut off by a stiff punch to the jaw that drops the champion to the canvas as the mystery man picks up the United States title that fell to the canvas and picked it up. The crowd responds to this with loud cheers and it looks like we might have a title match for tonight set up.

Grade: B-

 

Thomas Aria: Is that who I think it is? Could he actually take down Derrick Rollins? It looks like we have a main event caliber match tonight.

 

Mr.Wright: When I was wrestling, we earned our shot here. Is this gonna be the new normal here in AWF? Handing out title shots like candy to children?

 

Backstage in a locker room labeled ''Nick Hart'', we see three figures speaking to each other and recognize one of them as one half of The AWF Tag Team champions, Nick Hart

 

Nick Hart: Not again, Kyle has a big future ahead of him, but singles competition will be best for him as of now. Jess, you should worry about the Starlets and let me worry about me. Kyle is a adult now.

 

Nick gives a smile to the smaller figure next to him with the large head of hair as the only female rolls her eyes.

 

Jess Hart: Impact? Don't worry about that.

 

She walks of as Nick pats the shoulder of the smaller figure which we figure to be Kyle and gives a simple sigh.

Grade: D+

 

Non-title Match

Alexis vs. Kellie

 

The AWF Starlets champion finds herself fighting for more than just respect for herself, but getting others to respect the Starlets as a whole. She found herself in a fight with the always bubbly, Kellie who took the fight to our champion early, but met the fate of many others in similar positions while fighting Alexis and saw herself beaten.

Grade: C+

As Alexis goes to retrieve her title from the official in the ring, three women slide into the ring and start a beatdown on our Starlets champion, one of them familiar from Nick Hart's locker room earlier on. The beating concludes with the female from earlier picking up the Starlets championship and throwing it out of the ring to boos from the crowd.

Grade: D

 

Thomas Aria: A new batch of faces just orchestrated a heinous attack on our AWF Starlets champion.

 

Mr. Wright: Strength in numbers and it seems a new face around here understood that our champion is a pup without a pack and that is a dangerous thing to be when a title is up for grabs.

Dolla Club w/Ieshia vs. The New California Blondes

 

Hot off a tag team win over our Tag Team champions, The Dolla Club looked to continue their momentum with Ieshia at ringside over The New California Blondes. The Blondes take early control with their daring speed, but find that cut off as Avalanche and Mo Fury use their pure power to take over the match. Both pummel the opposing team until the ref stops to check on both men, but Ieshia quickly objects, giving Mo Fury time to strike each of The Blondes with a chair. Ieshia drops off the apron and Mo Fury covers both men stacked on each other for the win.

 

This match was a message to every team in the back and especially to the champions who were watching from the backstage area in preparation for their rematch at New Year, No Limits.

Grade: C+

 

Backstage we see Emma Moore running as she tries to call out a name, she bumps into a nervous Omri Stone who quickly runs off before catching up with Jay Paro. Trying to breathe, she puts the microphone up to her lips.

 

Emma Moore: So....Mr........Paro......

 

He urges her to take her breathes before she continues and hands her some water on the table next to him as she gulps it down and tries to actually speak.

 

Emma Moore: I have been informed that tonight you face Derrick Rollins for The United States Title. Would you speak about your thoughts on debuting tonight and especially in a title match.

 

He grins before turning his attention to forming a thought and looking at Emma.

 

Jay Paro: I would be lying if I didn't say nervous, but that is the point of all of this right? The thrill that we feel when we go out there and give our best effort to the fans night in and night out. I expect a tough contest, but with the fans here behind me, I believe we will see that title change hands.

Grade: C

 

Cross vs. Kyle Hart

 

The debut of Kyle Hart in AWF, a member of The Hart family pedigree, but no amount of training could prepare him for the unhinged Cross that awaited him. Cross baited the youngster in and tackled the man to the canvas quickly before attempting to lick the cheek of the young Hart. Cross goes even further, attempting to kiss the young Hart before being pushed off and toying some more with a few taunts and air punches. Kyle looks to try and use his technical wrestling, but the antics of Cross have clearly taken a wear on him and he gets caught in a Crucifix Powerbomb and sees his debut match end in defeat. Cross blows kisses to the young Hart before mouthing the words “Korah” to the air and laughing to himself as he rolled out of the ring.

Grade: C-

 

Backstage we can see Jean-Claude Giroux be attended to by various female attendants as Adrienne waits patiently a few feet away. The Locker room is spacious enough for many to fit inside of it, but Jean has his head turned away from Adrienne as she attempts to find the words to speak. He simply motions for the attendants to leave and they close the door as we are left only to anticipate what fate Adrienne was left to.

Grade: C+

 

Thomas Aria: We need to help Adrienne back there. Can we get some AWF officials posted back there and get inside that locker room?

 

Mr. Wright: I fear for the woman, but the price she is paying is one of failure here Aria. She has been the reason Jean-Claude is without gold and a win in the past few weeks

 

Thomas Aria: Surely that can't be grounds to attempt to physically exercise those frustrations on a untrained female. We have to get some people back there now.

 

AWF Trillion Dollar Championship Match

Joe Havanna vs. El Ángel©

 

This matchup was held for The Trillion Dollar Championship with no news on what the purpose of this belt was or its use. Havanna used his heavy frame to his advantage early with multiple power moves and clubbing blows over the smaller Luchador champion. Havanna looked close to winning the match a few times, but simply was too caught up in attempting to argue with the official about counting speed and find himself on the end of a rollup from El Ángel that ended in another title defense for the champion.

Grade: C

Ieshia is backstage in the locker room of The Dolla Club and the space is empty besides Ieshia dressed in a fine dress attire and a look at the camera.

 

Ieshia: The champ and crew aren't here tonight. We have too much to do coming up and clubs are calling our name tonight. I'll be there soon.

 

She pauses for a second as she adjusts the dress she is wearing and looks to speak into the microphone again.

 

Ieshia: Timothy Hawk, you didn't go through the trials people like me and the champ suffered through. Do you understand how hard we worked to get here? How hard It took for me to stand here as the proud woman I am? Me and the champion have-

 

She pauses to wipe a tear that falls on her left cheek and drops the microphone as she walks off.

Grade: B

 

Mr. Wright: A emotional plea from a very troubled woman. Bravo to her for being able to keep strong in the face of such destruction that Hawk looks to inflict.

 

Thomas Aria: You didn't believe that little choir act, did you? Ieshia is a devious schemer who has half of AWF under the thumb of The Dolla Club and sadly nothing will change soon.

 

Mr. Wright: Being devious doesn't take away from the fact she is a woman with a heart and a deep love for what she helped build.

 

AWF United States Championship Match

Jay Paro Vs. Derrick Rollins©

 

The two men match their superb speed with each other early, giving the crowd a display of acrobatic jumping and moving that makes the calling of action a blur to the announcers at ringside. Paro capitalizes off a high risk mistake from Rollins and looks to use his own risk taking aerial moves to take the match home, but quickly finds his own moves reversed by the crafty champion who uses various short cuts to take the upper hand.

 

The match reaches various high points, but a bigger fever pitch when Paro reverses a springboard dropkick into a cutter that lays out the champion but only for a count of two. Paro tries to ascend to the top rope of the nearest corner, but finds his body slowing down on him as he tries to ascend. He finally does so, but valuable minutes are taken for this and as he goes for a maneuver, Rollins rolls out of the way and both men lay on the canvas for what feels a eternity. Rollins is the first to get up and lands a Rollins Stone that gives him the victory and another successful title defense.

Grade: B-

 

Backstage we are zooming with a sprinting Garrett South who is passing by various locker rooms backstage. He finally comes to a hard stop with the locker room he is looking for. The words on it read Mariana and he touches the handle, pausing as we can hear upbeat dance music inside. As he turns the door, inside we see a disco ball and Ricky Fyre getting boogie to the cheers of the crowd viewing it. South, even more pissed off, walks up and grabs Fyre with both hands. He attempts to interrogate the dancing man, but Fyre loudly protests and from behind we see South slump over and the room goes black.

Grade: B-
