Here's what I'm looking at (I've bolded the most relevant parts): Night One ------------------------------------------------------ She wanted to find more who saw things the way she did. As she approached her target tonight she knew, this person would never join her. ------------------------------------------------------ Night Two She set out, more confident in her choices than ever now. There had to be others who would feel the same way she did. She just had to find them before it was too late. It wouldn't take her long to find the person she was looking for tonight. She approached with caution, only interested in conversation. He wasn't interested. ------------------------------------------------------ Night Three ------------------------------------------------------ She approached far more casually this time than her last two attempts. He didn't give her an immediate sense of fear like they did. "Excuse me." He turned to acknowledge her and quickly got to his feet to face her. "Calm down. I just want to explain." And that the first two failed but the third one succeeded? Then Lukess dies and this disappears from the write-ups. It looks to me that somebody switched from blue to red at this point. Which brings us to the most recent night: Night Six ""Join us and become a knight" she said. Move up in the world. Maybe finally get a dragon of your own one day." He mumbled to himself as he set out, ready to do what he had to do. "Never said anything about everybody dying right away. You can be sure that if she had mentioned everybody dying right away I would have said "no thanks" to that." "Must have been some of that "fine print" you're always hearing about. She certainly wasn't upfront about that part of the deal. I should have known there would be a catch. It's getting to where you can't trust anyone these days." He wouldn't be hunting down just anyone tonight. He was going to try and end this. "I mean, I could have pointed out the flaw in this plan if she would have just been honest with me from the start instead of hiding it. But nobody wants to get criticized by the new guy. I'm just to be quiet and die when it's my turn, I suppose." He found her alone, surprisingly. Now, if only he could catch her off guard. He walked up casually, knowing she'd have no real reason to suspect him of meaning her any harm. "Well, I guess I might as well try to murder someone. Don't really have anything else to do around here now." "What?" "Who knows, I might even enjoy murdering. This could be a whole new career path for me." She seemed confused briefly, then it dawned on her, seconds too late to defend herself from his blade being driven through her. "Especially with the last job opportunity not really working out on account of everybody dying right away." ------------------------------------------------------ I think the bolded parts point to someone who was brought onto a team but is now alone. I think this is the guy from N3. Does anyone read it differently? I think things point to a situation where everybody that is left started blue but someone switched to red part way through. Emark revealed that in the thread but with him dying pretty early, who -but myself- could be certain of that? If, for example, he also had a one-shot and got outed, I'd hide that as long as possible from scum. I also think Emark got taken out because scum thought he might have a one-shot ability like me. With Crychon claiming he got nothing from Emark, I sort of trust that he's not lying about his ability. I can still see Crychon turning up indy but I don't see him as scum. I think he might have been honest about being the vanilla apprentice dragon rider at the start, but got recruited on to the red team as a chance to advance his career and get a dragon of his own. They'd been given enough time to figure out who they could trust, and made it easy for themselves to rule out who was left. Last night they lost their would be leader to the final person opposing them, but killing him would be too easy.</p><p> </p><p> They surrounded him in mass and he gave his best argument as to why it was someone other than him. Things didn't add up to everyone else, and as this set in he smartly surrendered, allowing himself to be taken prisoner. He would be punished by Dragonbrook law once a new Master was chosen. Until then, he would be kept imprisoned.</p><p> </p><p> The rest could finally relax and take in what was left of their beloved Dragonbrook, scorched and covered in blood.
