And so it begins - the road to WWE SummerSlam and the all-new era to follow, and what better way to kick it off than by finding out who will challenge Daniel Bryan for the WWE Championship at the Biggest Party of the Summer? The Planet's Champion opened tonight's episode of WWE Raw and addressed the blockbuster revelation by Stephanie McMahon earlier in the day, declaring that he was always the "true Champion", and as the WWE Champion, that makes him the most powerful man in this industry. He also made a bold claim that whoever would be his next challenger would be nothing more than an example of why he is the best when he beats them and stands tall with his title held high. However, his ego may be forced to take a backseat as his challenger was revealed to be none other than AJ Styles! The Phenomenal One merged to a thunderous ovation from the WWE Universe, taking full advantage of the brand restrictions being lifted ahead of the all-new era, answering the call of The Planet's Champion. As Bryan looked on in surprise, Styles declared that he was here to take his opportunity at reclaiming the title he once held when he built SmackDown Live. Of course, Bryan had very little interest in what Styles had to say and informed him that he was going to wish he'd stayed on WCW Nitro and disappeared with it. Suddenly, the pair are interrupted by another Nitro superstar - The Velveteen Dream! To the confusion of many, and the anger of Styles, The Dream made his way out to the ring and shockingly accepted The Phenomenal One's request for a match, citing that he will defeat him at WCW Spring Stampede, and go on to compete for the WWE Championship himself. Before it could become anymore chaotic, Stephanie McMahon decided to interject and informed everyone that she would be taking control of the three brands to ensure everything goes off without a hitch heading into the all-new era, and so she confirms that tonight's main event would be a tag team battle which will see Daniel Bryan and The Velveteen Dream go up against AJ Styles and a partner of his choice. Who will The Phenomenal One have by his side tonight?</div>

The Revival & The B-Team</b></div>

When you have as few allies as The Revival, it's hard to find a suitable set of partners who actually want to stand by your side. One team did agree to support the former Champions, however, and that was WCW's B-Team. In the words of Scott Dawson moments before the match, "They will have to do". The unique pairing of The New Day and The Hardyz had the WWE Universe abuzz, and they worked very well together despite their different styles. As the match broke down, Kofi Kingston was able to strike Curtis Axel with a Trouble In Paradise to secure the victory for his team. Moment after the closing bell, the trio of positivity and the legendary brothers once again came face-to-face as they had last week, seemingly hinting towards a title clash in the near future. Could we see The New Day and The Hardy Boyz collide down the line?</div>

The unexpected debut of Cesaro last week on WWE Raw got everyone talking, but perhaps the least excited was The Miz, who suffered a loss at the hands of The Swiss Superman. This week, Cesaro took on Shelton Benjamin in yet another winning effort, putting The Gold Standard away with a Neutraliser. Moments after Cesaro's victory, he was interrupted by the Intercontinental Champion himself and his wife, Maryse. The Miz made it clear to Cesaro that last week was nothing more than a fluke, and his "five minutes of fame" are over. Bold words from The A-Lister, ones which will no doubt not sit well with Cesaro.</div>

Tensions ran high last week when Sasha Banks squared up to her friend, Becky Lynch, apparently laying claim to a Women's Championship match in the near future. Bayley tried to diffuse the situation, but it may have been all for nought. The Boss went into action this week against Ember Moon, and showed off a disturbingly aggressive attitude, viciously taking the fight to The War Goddess, and forcing her to submit to the Bank Statement. Even after the closing bell, Banks refused to release the hold, clearly sending a message to the Women's Champion. It took Bayley to rush to ringside and pull her friend away, restraining her, but in the process was shoved to the canvas. Is Sasha Banks letting her desire for gold come between her friendships?</div>

Heath Slater to retain the Hardcore Championship</b></div>

Being hunted by The Irresistible Force is never good. Mike Kanellis knows first hand about that as since capturing the Hardcore Championship, he has been under fire from Nia Jax who he clubbed with a steel chair at No mercy to capture the gold for himself. With frequent looks over his shoulder, Kanellis defended the title against Heath Slater tonight on Raw and came out victorious with a rolling cutter onto a steel chair. The Prodigy was just about to celebrate his victory when he turned to see his worst fear - Nia Jax had her hands on his wife, Maria Kanellis. The Hardcore Champion dropped to his knees and begged her to unhand his wife, but Nia Jax made it clear that until she got her fair shot at Kanellis' Hardcore Championship, she wasn't about to let go. He reluctantly accepted the challenge for a title bout next week, and Nia Jax threw Maria to the floor. The WWE Universe erupted at the knowledge that Jax would finally get her hands on the cowardly Kanellis next week, live on WWE Raw!</div>

Stone Cold Steve Austin isn't finished yet, and Evolution found that out last week when he returned to Raw and unleashed all hell on Triple H, Batista and Randy Orton when they tried to assault Roman Reigns. This week, The Texas Rattlesnake once again made his way to the ring to address Triple H directly, politely informing him that he's got a can of whoopass for each member of Evolution, ready to open whenever he's willing to take it. Austin's statement ignited the crowd, but Evolution then made their way out to the ring, with The Game reminding Austin who won at WWE No Mercy, and made it clear that Austin had no business on Raw, since he is essentially unemployed. But, Triple H revealed that as SStone Cold is a Hall of Famer, he would give him the benefit of the doubt and allow him to stay for the night, even offering him a "complimentary gift". Unfortunately, that gift turned out to be another assault! But before they could unleash their beating on Austin, The Big Dog emerged through the crowd and stood side-by-side with The Texas Rattlesnake, ready for a fight. Evolution proceeded and engaged in a brawl with the pair, but the numbers game was too much even for the two former World Champions to handle. Stone Cold was driven into the canvas with a Pedigree from his arch-nemesis, while Roman Reigns fell victim to a devastating Batista Bomb and RKO combination. Evolution stood tall over their foes this week, looking as dominant as ever.</div>

Last week, Baron Corbin put a beating on Kurt Angle's protege, Chad Gable following a backstage confrontation that turned volatile. This week, the Hall of Famer looked to stand up for his student in a singles match of his own with The Lone Wolf. The former World Champion was clearly out to teach Corbin a lesson in respect, and the WWE Universe were urging him to do so, but it seems that since Corbin's victory over John Cena at WWE No Mercy, he's been a completely different machine. Even The Olympic Hero could not overcome the brutal offence of the former United States Champion, and despite applying the Ankle Lock and even attempting an Angle Slam, he was unable to really deliver with either, and fell victim to an End of Days that put Angle away for the three count. Another impressive victory for Corbin, and another victory over a legendary former World Champion. Racking up these impressive wins surely puts The Lone Wolf in the spotlight for his future as the all-new era looms.</div>

Braun Strowman certainly isn't "glorious" by any stretch, but he's definitely something special. The big man went into action against Robert Roode who looked to score a huge victory over The Monster Among Men to continue his career resurgence, but unfortunately for him, Strowman had other plans. Using his clear power advantage, Strowman threw his adversary around the ring like a child and ultimately planted him with a running powerslam to seal the deal. After the match, Strowman comically mocked Roode's mannerisms, bellowing "GLORIOUS!" in his husky voice, drawing a laugh from the WWE Universe. But while he may be all smiles and jokes now, between those ring bells, he's simply unstoppable.</div>

<img src="https://i.imgur.com/vHL5v76.png"><div style="margin:auto; width:650px; background-color:#212121; padding:25px; color:#ffffff; text-align:justify;margin-top:-15px;"><div style="text-align:justify; font:22px Roboto;"><b>Women's World Champion Becky Lynch def. Alexa Bliss via disqualification when Sasha Banks unleashed heinous assault on The Man</b></div>

It was obviously on the mind of Becky Lynch how Sasha Banks confronted her last week, and her actions earlier tonight as well. But as always, the show must go on, and The Man looked to pick up a victory over Alexa Bliss on Raw. However, the match barely had chance to get off the ground before The Boss emerged from out of nowhere and assaulted Becky Lynch. The official called for the ring bell as Banks unloaded on the Women's Champion, viciously beating her into the canvas. She even guillotined Lynch on the bottom rope with an uncomfortable looking move that left The Man rolling around in pain. The Boss grabbed the title from ringside and held it above her head to a hostile reaction from the WWE Universe. What has come over Sasha Banks?</div>

WWE Champion Daniel Bryan & The Velveteen Dream</b></div>

The all-new era has already started to come into effect as at the top of the show, AJ Styles emerged to answer the call of Daniel Bryan as his next challenger for the WWE Championship. And as a result, this brought out The Velveteen Dream, and led to Stephanie McMahon booking a blockbuster main event that saw Daniel Bryan and The Dream unite against Styles and a partner of his choosing. And he didn't disappoint with his choice as he selected the same man who took The Planet's Champion to the limit last week in an incredible battle, Tyler Bate! The young superstar aligned with The Phenomenal One and went head-to-head with Bryan and Dream in one of Raw's most exciting main events in history. All four men had their fair share of action, but when the tide began to turn in favour of Styles and Bate, the WWE Champion decided to grab his gold and take his leave, abandoning The Velveteen Dream and leaving him to suffer a Phenomenal Forearm from his WCW Spring Stampede opponent this Sunday. AJ Styles picked up the victory and celebrated alongside the British superstar as Daniel Bryan watched on in anger from the aisle. What a way to close out this week's Raw, and what a match we have set for WWE SummerSlam as Daniel Bryan and AJ Styles clash in what is sure to be a match for the ages.</div></div>

The Nature Boy means business, and he came to the ring this week to establish that. He made a direct address to the entire WCW Universe, promising that with only a few weeks until the all-new era begins, he will be taking back complete control of WCW Nitro, regardless of what Shane McMahon may do to try and prevent that. The crowd cheered in delight, but Flair's bold claim was quickly overshadowed by the arrival of the very man he mentioned, Shane McMahon. The Prodigal Son walked out to the ring and directly informed Flair that his actions as of late have been unacceptable, and he seems to have forgotten that he will still be receiving his job review this Sunday at WCW Spring Stampede, and in his own words, "it isn't looking good". But the Hall of Famer responded with the simple claim that McMahon could "shove his review up his ass", to an eruption from the WCW Universe. Just as Shane was about to respond, Flair cut him off once more, this time to tell him that he's got something else he can review - a right hand! The Nature Boy shifted into that mindset we know he has and became erratic, stomping the "Commissioner" out of the ring. Shane McMahon reluctantly retreated, holding his jaw and shouting "You'll regret that, Flair!" as he disappeared through the curtain. Ric Flair may have just put his future at risk, but when you're The Nature Boy, it seems that it doesn't really matter.</div></p><p> </p><p></p><p>

With the all-new era around the corner, it was inevitable that the plans for a WCW Women's Championship would be abandoned, but as both Asuka and Charlotte Flair earned the right to compete for a Championship, Stephanie McMahon took to WWE.com to address the situation and revealed that the two women will still collide this Sunday at WCW Spring Stampede, with a view to earning a Championship opportunity come SummerSlam. That being said, Asuka went into action tonight against Flair's recent ally, Lacey Evans and was able to score a victory with her signature Asuka Lock. However, immediately following the ring bell, The Queen assaulted her Spring Stampede opponent and unleashed an attack alongside Evans, taking down The Empress of Tomorrow. Despite the best efforts of Kairi Sane who came to the aid of her best friend, she was no match for The Queen and The Lady who dropped Asuka with a devastating assisted big boot, laying out the Japanese superstar. Charlotte Flair and Lacey Evans stood tall heading into this Sunday's pay-per-view event and perhaps gave us a preview of things to come.</div></p><p> </p><p></p><p>

It was always obvious that Elias would never let us live it down that he scored a pinfall victory over AJ Styles last week, and he had a few more things to say about it tonight. The Sinister Songsmith was able to pick up another victory, this time over Sin Cara with a vicious swinging neckbreaker and moments after the closing bell, he grabbed a microphone to address a certain situation. Elias claimed that it was disgusting how he defeated AJ Styles last week, yet he is the next in line for a WWE Championship opportunity at SummerSlam. The Living Truth went on to declare that he is taking a stand against this "mistreatment", and will stage a "protest" this Sunday at WCW Spring Stampede. After weeks of avoiding Ricochet at all costs, Adam Cole will finally have no alternative but to face him this Sunday. The One and Only was able to come out victorious in an incredible triple threat bout featuring Rey Mysterio and Undisputed ERA's own, Roderick Strong. The United States Champion was clearly hoping for Strong's success, predicting an easy title defence at WCW Spring Stampede, but it's not to be as Ricochet pinned the Undisputed member after a 630 Senton. The leader of Undisputed ERA surprisingly emerged following Ricochet's win and looked confident as he told him to bring it on. These two will square off this Sunday, and only one of them can walk out as the United States Champion. And you can't forget, that Adam Cole does have somewhat of an "Undisputed" advantage, that will undoubtedly come into play.</div></p><p> </p><p></p><p>

Hell hat no fury like a McMahon scorned. While Shane will be in attendance to review Flair's role as General Manager, he vowed that he would also make sure that The Nature Boy would regret laying his hands on him, and hinted that he would be reviewing more than just his ability outside of the ring. Adam Cole found out his challenger for WCW Spring Stampede just moments ago, but the Undisputed ERA have been aware for quite some time. The unstoppable War Raiders will compete for the WCW Tag Team Championships this Sunday, but first, O'Reilly and Fish would go up against a tag team from WWE Raw in an incredible bout - The Usos. The former Tag Team Champions made the journey to WCW Nitro to take on the reigning Champions, but ultimately lost after UE were able to deliver the destructive Total Elimination, putting the brothers away. Moments after their victory, The War Raiders emerged to send an intimidating message to their Spring Stampede opponents. Standing in the dark, the pair made it clear that they were coming for the WCW Tag Team Championships. And if their track record is anything to go by, Bobby Fish and Kyle O'Reilly have quite the task ahead.</div></p><p> </p><p></p><p>

After their incredible encounter last week, Cedric Alexander and Ali may well collide again if the Cruiserweight Champion accepts Alexander's challenge. The former number one contender picked up an impressive victory over Noam Dar with a Lumbar Check, and immediately took to the microphone after the match to issue a respectful challenge to Ali for a rematch this Sunday. Coming so close last week clearly left the taste of gold in Cedric's mouth, but the question is - will Ali accept?</div></p><p> </p><p></p><p>

This past week on WWE Raw, The Velveteen Dream got the opportunity to traverse the brand divide with the all-new era looming on the horizon, competing in a huge main event alongside the WWE Champion, Daniel Bryan to take on AJ Styles and Tyler Bate. Unfortunately for The Dream, it wasn't a successful journey, losing out to Styles after a Phenomenal Forearm. Looking to show that this loss was merely a bump in the road, the flamboyant competitor decimated R-Truth tonight on WCW Nitro, showing a disturbing aggression, putting the veteran away with a Dream Valley Driver, followed by a Purple Rainmaker. Immediately following the ring bell, The Dream seemed to return to his usual manner, and grabbed a microphone before declaring that this Sunday, he would show AJ Styles what it truly means to be "phenomenal".</div></p><p> </p><p></p><p>

The Cruiserweight Champion had heard the challenge, and took to the interview area to accept it. Following on from Alexander's earlier request to a rematch for the gold this Sunday at WCW Spring Stampede, Ali explained that it was a no-brainer, immediately accepting the challenge and stating that he would be honoured to share the stage with his good friend on the final WCW pay-per-view event. Andrade "Cien" Almas & Samoa Joe</b></div></p><p></p><p>

It's a rare occurrence to see The Icon, Sting in the ring these days. which makes it a real treat when he is. Tonight was proof ahead of his Spring Stampede clash with Andrade that he still has what it takes. Battling alongside Shinsuke Nakamura, The Stinger was able to defeat their respective rivals, Andrade and Samoa Joe in tag team action. The devious duo of Almas and The Destroyer wanted to use their wits to keep the legendary competitor and The King of Strong Style at bay, with Zelina Vega sticking her nose into the business of the match on behalf of her business associate. But when Samoa Joe found himself on the receiving end of a Kinshasa from Nakamura, it allowed Sting to strike and lock El Idolo in the Scorpion Deathlock, forcing him into submission. With a monumental victory in tonight's main event, Sting and Shinsuke Nakamura stood tall over their Spring Stampede opponents, but will the results be the same this Sunday?</div></p><p> </p><p></p><p>

Just days remain before Drew McIntyre will defend his WCW World Championship against one of two contenders. Either Seth Rollins or Dolph Ziggler will receive the opportunity, but not before they endure a gruelling match with each other on the same night to determine which one it will be. Tonight, the pair signed the official contract toconfirm that the winner of their bout will advance to the main event and receive the golden opportunity at WCW Spring Stampede. However, as with all contract signings, it didn't go completely to plan. The Scottish Psychopath decided that he would emerge to oversee the proceedings, and in the process ended up coming nose-to-nose with both his potential challengers, creating plenty of tension. But he may live to regret his presence as when things became a little too heated, Dolph Ziggler struck with a superkick to the jaw, laying out the WCW World Champion as Seth Rollins looked on. But seeing an opportunity of his own, The Kingslayer caught McIntyre back into the canvas with The Stomp! Both challengers came face-to-face as the WCW Universe erupted, knowing that one of these men will go on to challenge for the big gold belt this Sunday. Both have sent a message to the reigning Champion, but which of them will earn the right to call themselves number one contender, and even when they do, will they have enough in the tank to get the job done on the night?</div></div></p><p> </p><p></p><p>

Blood, sweat and flaming tables. Sami Zayn and Kevin Owens have endured many layers of hell during their on/off relationship, with their most recent "off-stint" being one of the most barbaric in their storied rivalry. Weeks ago at ECW One Night Stand, Owens left his former best friend in a pool of his own blood after driving him through a flaming table in the Hammerstein Ballroom. Last week, Zayn returned to get his hands on The Prizefighter, and tonight took to the ring with one thing on his mind - one last battle. The Underdog of the Underground addressed Kevin Owens and the ECW faithful by declaring that this needed to end once and for all. So Zayn proposed a solution. One final match. But not just any match, it had to be one that would truly be the culmination of everything. All the bad blood, all the hatred, everything all rolled into one for one final encounter. And then he uttered the four most feared words in WWE history - Hell. In. A. Cell! Will Kevin Owens accept the challenge and take on his arch-nemesis inside the satanic structure for one last battle?</div>

The Dudley Boyz to become the new ECW Tag Team Champions</b></div>

While the all-new era will send ECW back into the vault, the Championships still hold weight when it comes to the transition period. Holding a title heading into the new era will result in many opportunities for those superstars, and the ECW Tag Team Championships are no different. This highly anticipated collision finally took place tonight on ECW as The Dudley Boyz looked to topple their recent rivals, The Authors of Pain in tag team action. But even the Hall of Fame duo could not withstand the brute force of Akam and Rezar, let alone with Drake Maverick directing traffic from ringside. The Dudleyz looked to end the match with a 3-D on Akam, only for Drake Maverick to sacrifice himself and launch his body into Bubba Ray to prevent the infamous move from connecting. This momentary distracting allowed AOP to regroup and isolate D-Von Dudley to deliver The Last Chapter, securing the victory and the ECW Tag Team Championships. This dominant team look to be on their A-game heading into the all-new era, and have no doubt secured themselves places at the top of the tag team division.</div>

No Way Jose has certainly turned a corner in terms of success, not only taking Kevin Owens to the limit in an incredible match two weeks ago, but defeating ECW legend, Rhyno last week as well. The Dominican Dancing Machine has gained plenty of focus these last few weeks, and it continued through as he took on Aiden English. And despite being outnumbered on the outside with Rusev and Lana in The Artiste's corner, No Way was able to deliver a huge pop-up knockout punch to flatten English and claim the victory. Immediately following the ring bell, Rusev and his wife, Lana abandoned their fallen ally with looks of disappointment on their faces. When Aiden English came to realise that they had left him, he began to bawl his eyes out. Poor Aiden.</div>

It's a gutsy move to step up to Shayna Baszler after witnessing her shear dominance over the past few months, but Bianca Belair is definitely made of gutsy stuff. The EST of ECW challenged The Queen of Spades to this match tonight, and didn't disappoint, taking the fight right to the dominant superstar and holding her own where others had fallen. She even came close to putting Baszler away with a KOD, but shockingly she kicked out and battled back to apply the devastating Kirifuda Clutch and force Belair into submission. A valiant effort, but an unsuccessful one as Baszler continued to run roughshod through the women's division. Will anybody be able to stop The Queen of Spades when the all-new era begins? Wherever she ends up, the women's locker room will undoubtedly be on notice.</div>

The bizarre events that took place last week between Aleister Black and Bray Wyatt had the entire world baffled. The Dutch Destroyer journeyed to the infamous Wyatt Compound to hunt down the man who had haunted him for the best part of the last couple of months, finally getting his hands on The Eater of Worlds to exact his revenge. Black did just that, and dragged Wyatt into his own house of horrors, presumably to unleash his own brand of punishment. Nobody has seen or heard from Bray Wyatt since that fateful night, and with Black now seemingly rid of his demons, he was free to tie up loose ends, one of those being Eric Young. And with a Black Mass to the jaw, he was able to defeat the deranged superstar while his allies, Alexander Wolfe and Killian Dain looked on from ringside. The Striking Man from Amsterdam was finally free of the torment, and the ECW faithful joined him in celebration. But what has become of Bray Wyatt, and what really happened inside that forsaken place?</div>

Apollo Crews to retain the ECW Television Championship</b></div>

Continuing the tradition of defending the ECW Television Championship week in, week out, Pete Dunne opened the floor up even more with the all-new era looming on the horizon. It just so happens that WWE Raw's Apollo Crews would answer the call tonight, engaging in an unbelievable battle with The Bruiserweight that had the ECW faithful on the edges of their seats. Ultimately, it was a Bitter End for Crews that ended the match, despite an incredible effort from the athletic superstar. After the match, the pair showed a great deal of respect for each other with a handshake, Crews even raising the hand of the ECW Television Champion. This is what competition is all about, and these two will no doubt shine in the future.</div>

Hell in a Cell? Consider it booked. However, Kevin Owens didn't seem to think that a simple "Yes" would suffice, instead choosing to ambush his former friend in the backstage area, brutally assaulting him and driving him through a table, through to the concrete floor. The Prizefighter chose this moment to get in Zayn's face and utter the words "I accept", before slapping the face of his arch-rival. Sami Zayn made the challenge. Kevin Owens accepted. It's on. WWE Summerslam. Three weeks from now. Hell in a Cell. And it won't be for the weak of heart.</div>

It's always been about "the bigger picture" with Drew Gulak and Lars Sullivan. Since arriving in The Land of Extreme, The Freak has decimated the competition and all the while, his adviser, Gulak has been lurking at ringside to keep the monster in check. Following tonight's manhandling of Zack Ryder, Drew Gulak took to the microphone alongside his associate to issue an ominous warning ahead of the all-new era's beginning. While his previous statements had been in regards to Lars Sullivan's desires, it seems that deep down, it was always his personal motives all along, and he went on to declare that in the very near future, his plan would come into full effect and both he and Lars Sullivan would reap the rewards of their efforts. The ECW faithful were undoubtedly left wondering what exactly Drew Gulak means, but we will have to wait to find out.</div>

Dean Ambrose to retain the ECW World Championship</b></div>

Dean Ambrose held all the cards going into this one, threatening the future of the ECW World Championship. The brand may be returning to the vault for the all-new era, but the prestige of the title itself would be destroyed if The Lunatic Fringe were to capture the gold and then leave with it in his possession. However, that was not to be as Finn Bálor fault valiantly, not only for his own pride, but for the legacy of ECW as well. The Extraordinary Man endured the unhinged offence of Ambrose throughout the match as everything but the kitchen sink came into use. Bálor was able to battle back and ultimately put his adversary away with a huge Coup de Grace from the top rope after a gruelling bout that was back and forth the whole time. Securing his victory, Finn Bálor celebrated with the ECW faithful, while also being met by Paul Heyman in the ring who embraced him and congratulated him in his victory with a thankyou. All the while, Dean Ambrose was forced to leave ringside knowing that he would not be returning, to which the crowd mercilessly chanted "Goodbye". The Lunatic Fringe disappeared through the curtain as Bálor's celebration continued, but what does the future hold for Finn Bálor as he heads into the all-new era with one of the three World Championships?</div></div>

The mutual respect between Ali and Cedric Alexander led to this rematch being granted by the Cruiserweight Champion, and what better place than the Kickoff Show of WCW Spring Stampede. The two incredible athletes began the bout by shaking hands before displaying some of the most breathtaking aerial offence the WCW Universe had ever seen, going back and forth all in the name of their division. Alexander came close to capturing the gold at one point, almost delivering his Lumbar Check, but Ali was able to escape and avoid the devastating move. Instead, Ali battled back and looked to be closing in on a victory when all of a sudden, the atmosphere shifted as the monstrous Lars Sullivan came from out of nowhere! The Freak emerged to the confusion of everyone in attendance and began to dismantle the two competitors, forcing the official to call for a no contest. Sullivan sent Alexander crashing into the barricade spine-first, laying him out on the outside before entering the ring and planting Ali with a Freak Accident. But the question was - why? Well, we didn't have to wait long for an answer as Drew Gulak appeared in the ring with a widest of grins across his face. He snatched the Cruiserweight Championship from the referee and raised it above his own head. Is this what Gulak referred to this past week on ECW? If so, the plan is most definitely in full effect, and with Lars Sullivan watching his back, who's going to stop him?</div>

Drew McIntyre currently stands without a challenger for the WCW World Championship, but that will all change following the opening contest of tonight's pay-per-view spectacular. Thanks to Ric Flair, Seth Rollins and Dolph Ziggler will collide for the opportunity to advance to a main event bout for the prestigious title. The Kingslayer made his way to the ring with the WCW Universe on his side, ready to take on The Showoff in this high stakes matchup. Both competitors immediately went to work on the other, knowing exactly what is up for grabs, and Rollins was able to issue the first real blow with a superkick to the sternum of The Showoff. Maintaining control, Rollins went on to deliver a springboard knee to his adversary and was hoping to zone in on a victory. Ziggler battled back and made everyone aware that he wasn't going to be counted out, and delivered a spiking DDT, taking control of the match himself. Measuring Rollins for his very own superkick, he waited for The Kingslayer to slowly rise to his feet, but as he was moments from connecting with Rollins' jaw, the former Shield member ducked underneath and dropped his opponent with a package fisherman buster! Somehow, Ziggler was able to kickout at two, saving himself from defeat. Rollins prepared to deliver The Stomp to finish Ziggler off, only to receive a superkick for his efforts, giving Ziggler the perfect opening for a win, however, Rollins showed that he is equally resilient, kicking out at two as well. Rage filled Dolph Ziggler as he once again lined Rollins up for a superkick, but as he went to strike, The Kingslayer ducked underneath and hit Ziggler with a superkick to the midsection, following it up with a Stomp to secure the victory and his place in the main event! Chants of "Burn it down" filled the arena as Rollins celebrated, knowing that he had punched his ticket to a title opportunity. Will Seth Rollins be able to go the whole way and capture the gold from McIntyre after enduring such a gruelling match with Dolph Ziggler?</div>

The back and forth rivalry between Samoa Joe and Shinsuke Nakamura finally came to a conclusion tonight at WCW Spring Stampede. The two enemies went head-to-head in a hard-hitting bout to determine who the better man truly was. The Destroyer was in no mood for anything other than destruction, and showed it by unleashing his aggression early on, taking the fight directly to The King of Strong Style with a series of hard shots, followed by an uncomfortable looking drop onto the top rope that had Nakamura favouring his midsection for the rest of the match. It wasn't over just yet though as Nakamura battled back with fire in his heart and used his educated feet to his advantage, keeping the more powerful Joe at bay with an array of kicks and even dropping The Samoan Submission Machine with a hangman backstabber that almost gave him the victory. But as The Rockstar aimed to deliver his signature Kinshasa, Joe was lying in wait, evading the move and instead applying his crippling Coquina Clutch which rendered the Japanese superstar unable to escape, leaving him with no alternative but to submit. Samoa Joe had conquered his adversary, and stood tall over his fallen foe to the dismay of the WCW Universe. But he didn't care. All that mattered to him was victory, and that is what he had achieved.</div>

While it was originally scheduled to crown the first WCW Women's Champion, the introduction of the all-new era put this on hold. However, this doesn't mean that Asuka and Charlotte Flair couldn't still have an incredible contest, and that's exactly what they did. The two talented athletes went head-to-head with their respective allies, Kairi Sane and Lacey Evans in their corners at ringside. The match began with Asuka unloading a series of kicks on Charlotte, keeping The Queen grounded for the most part. But it wasn't long before the daughter of WWE Hall of Famer, Ric Flair turned the tables and began delivering her father's signature knee drops. Flair then saw an opening for an unbelievable moonsault attempt, connecting with huge impact, but this wasn't enough to keep The Empress of Tomorrow off the mat. Asuka battled back and even delivered an impressive backslide driver, coming close to defeating The Queen tonight on pay-per-view. But Lacey Evans presence at ringside then began to play a part as she distracted Asuka moments before she looked to apply her signature Asuka Lock. Kairi Sane came to join the fray as Asuka warned Evans to back off and stay out of the match, when all of a sudden, Charlotte Flair threw caution to the wind and flew through the air down to the outside with an incredible moonsault, taking out everyone at ringside. The WCW Universe chanted "Holy sh*t!" and rightly so as all four women lay motionless on the arena floor. The official had no choice but to initiate a count, and due to the damage sustained, neither Charlotte nor Asuka were able to answer the referee's ten count, resulting in a double countout. Not a popular result with the fans in attendance, and most likely not for the competitors either. Officials rushed to ringside to tend to the fallen females as the show continued.</div>

The War Raiders to retain the WCW Tag Team Championships</b></div>

Hanson and Rowe would finally get their opportunity to take the WCW Tag Team Championships from The Undisputed ERA, and it looked like it was going to happen for a good chunk of this match. The War Raiders came in hot and steamrolled through the reigning Champions, flattening both Kyle O'Reilly and Bobby Fish with some incredible power moves. Nobody had been able to stop Hanson and Rowe in recent weeks, and it showed here tonight exactly why that is. But they forgot to account for the added presence of Undisputed's Roderick Strong. The extra element of this bout decided to get involved, distracting Hanson during a pivotal moment in the match, and this moment proved to be fatal for The War Raiders who took their eye off the ball for just a second too long, allowing O'Reilly and Fish to mount an offence. Strong's involvement didn't end there though as he travelled around the ring to hold the leg of Hanson while Rowe fell victim to Total Elimination. With the official focused on the action in the ring, it allowed Undisputed ERA to pick up a huge victory and retain the WCW Tag Team Championships. The trio celebrated with their titles as the WCW Universe were not quite as happy. The Undisputed ERA's night begins with success, but will Adam Cole be able to replicate it later tonight when he defends his United States Championship against Ricochet?</div>

Elias has a grievance, and you know for a fact that we're going to hear about it. He promised a "protest" and here it is, The Living Truth occupied the arena to stand his ground against what he believes is his own mistreatment. Reminding us all of his victory over AJ Styles two weeks ago - although failing to mention the tide-turning assist by The Velveteen Dream - he claims that The Phenomenal One doesn't deserve a shot at the WWE Championship, and instead it should be him. The Sinister Songsmith demanded that justice be served, and he be granted the opportunity he deserves, claiming that he is constantly overlooked in favour of inferior talent on the roster. Refusing to leave until he is shown some respect, Elias remained in the ring to the dismay of the WCW Universe, but his protest was soon interrupted by the return of another superstar - Sheamus. The Celtic Warrior made his way to the ring to a huge ovation, confronting Elias. The Living Truth asked Sheamus who he thought he was interrupting him when he has no business out here. But the former World Champion informed him that he did have business out here, namely shutting Elias' mouth. The crowd erupted, but this only angered Elias who lunged towards the Irish competitor. Sheamus struck with a huge Brogue Kick, laying Elias out in the center of the ring to the delight of many. Sheamus is back, ready for the all-new era, and Elias just found out the hard way.</div>

AJ Styles finally got the opportunity to get his hands on The Velveteen Dream after weeks of torment last week on WWE Raw, but tonight it was one-on-one. The Dream was in the head of The Phenomenal One, and it showed as Styles struggled to hold back his frustration before the ring bell. The match began with The Dream delivering some trash talk to his adversary, digging deeper into the mind of AJ Styles. But he soon received a slap across the face for his troubles as the former World Champion began to lay into the young superstar, releasing all his pent up anger. He drove him into the canvas with a brainbuster, looking dominant as the match kicked off, but it wasn't long before Velveteen Dream was back in the game, hitting his signature hook around DDT, and ascending the ropes to deliver his patented Purple Rainmaker. He connected and all of a sudden, it looked like The Dream had picked up the biggest win of his career, but Styles wasn't out just yet, kicking out at two. The Dream became frustrated and went on the offence again, only for Styles to get a second wind from somewhere, rallying against his adversary and hitting a leaping knee drop, and then he measured him up for the Phenomenal Forearm. But as Styles soared through the air, he was met with a huge superkick right on the jaw! The crowd went wild as The Dream once again looked to have complete control. He drove Styles into the canvas with a Dream Valley Driver, and we all know what follows that. But instead of going straight for the cover, or even the Purple Rainmaker, he took the time to torment the WCW Universe, mocking them that he was about to defeat their hero. But his delay may have cost him as he leapt from the top rope into a kick to the gut, followed by Styles applying the necessary holds for his Styles Clash! And it was all over for The Dream. The Phenomenal One had bested his rival, and The Dream's ego had got in the way of his own success. AJ Styles now looks forward as he challenges Daniel Bryan for the WWE Championship at WWE SummerSlam. Can he continue his momentum into the Biggest Party of the Summer?</div>

Adam Cole to become the new United States Champion</b></div>

Just moments before Adam Cole made his entrance, he had a backstage meeting with his Undisputed ERA allies who were eager to join their leader at ringside for his match. But surprisingly, Adam Cole refused their assistance, claiming that he needed to beat Ricochet on his own to prove that he is the better man. He vowed to embarrass Ricochet in front of the entire WCW Universe, and make sure that they remain Undisputed. He made his way to the ring alone, and Ricochet was ready. The One and Only was stunned that he wasn't facing a 4-on-1 disadvantage, but a focused Adam Cole wasted little time going to work, eager to prove that he can be just as dangerous alone. He took control of the match, beating down on his challenger and delivering a thunderous German suplex. The fight tumbled to the outside, but this is when Ricochet found his openings to take flight. He gained control and slid into the ring, rebounding off the ropes and connecting with an impressive suicide dive. Moments later, he slid back into the ring and unleashed another high-flying move, connecting with a corkscrew plancha to chants of "Holy sh*t!" from the crowd. Looking to pick up a victory, Ricochet rolled Cole into the ring and went for the cover, but it wasn't yet enough to secure the win. He looked to continue his offence, only for Cole to strike with a superkick to the gut, followed by an enziguiri, clipping the back of Ricochet's skull. Seeing an opportunity to deliver a big move, Cole ascended to the middle rope and leapt off, hitting the devastating Panama Sunrise! The arena erupted as Cole went for the cover, only for Ricochet to kick out at two, somehow. Chants of "This is awesome!" filled the arena as Cole wondered what he had to do to put his challenger away. He measured him up for the Last Shot, what he believed would be the killing blow, but when he ran to strike, Ricochet sprung to his feet and hoisted Cole onto his shoulders before throwing him off into a picture perfect roundhouse kick. With Cole floored, he climbed to the top rope and delivered his ever-impressive 630 Senton and hooked the leg for the one, two, three! Ricochet has finally done it, he had conquered The Undisputed ERA's Adam Cole. Ricochet is the new United States Champion heading into the all-new era! The One and Only lived up to his name with an impressive performance, leaving Adam Cole devastated with his loss.</div>

Shane McMahon had made it clear these last few weeks that he wanted rid of Ric Flair, and this whole "job evaluation" process has been nothing but a front, giving Shane legal reason to remove Flair from his role as General Manager. The Prodigal Son made his way to the ring, flanked by three security guard, the WCW Universe booing him out of the building, but he didn't seem to care. He began to address the situation, calling out The Nature Boy so he can do this face-to-face. Ric Flair obliges and makes his way to the ring to the delight of the WCW Universe, despite having a good idea of what's coming next. Firstly, McMahon explains that the security are for his own safety after Flair's volatile outburst on WCW Nitro last week. He goes on to declare that he has given this much thought over the last few weeks, and taking everything into account, he has no alternative but to relive Flair of his duties as General Manager. This wasn't so much of a shock, but still an unfortunate result. The Hall of Famer cuts McMahon off as he goes on to try and explain the reasoning for his decision, making it clear that he knows Shane McMahon doesn't give a damn about him or the WCW Universe, because he's only in it for himself. He squared up to Shane-O-Mac which prompts the security to edge closer, but Shane assures them he can handle the situation. While the two are practically nose-to-nose, Flair tells Shane that he'll never be half the man that his father is, clearly getting under The Prodigal Son's skin. But rather than get angry, Shane smirks and instead responds by telling Ric Flair that as soon as he's finalised Flair's release, he might pay a little visit to "daddy's little girl" and give her the pink slip as well. This infuriates The Nature Boy who goes wild, striking Shane with a right hand! The crowd go wild as Flair starts to lay into the devious mcMahon, only for security to enter and apprehend the Hall of Famer. Suddenly, Shane takes advantage of the situation and kicks Flair right between the legs with a heinous low blow, dropping him to his knees. Shane McMahon gives a mocking "Woo" in the face of Flair before leaving with a grin from ear-to-ear. Shane had clearly got into the head of Ric Flair, and now he's got what he wanted. The Nature Boy is no more.</div>

El Idolo was out to prove one thing - that he is better than Sting. He believes it in his own mind, and he is ready to prove it to the world. However, his disrespectful approach hasn't been very well received, least of all by The Icon himself who has set out to teach Almas a lesson in respect. Andrade didn't look intimidated as Sting made his iconic entrance, instead seeming more focused than ever, believing this was his night. Although he didn't get off to the best of starts, arrogantly mocking Sting with his own howl, only to receive a huge side slam. The Stinger maintained control in the early parts of the match, but once Andrade was able to connect with a superkick, he lunged onto his adversary and began hailing fists down on the Hall of Famer. The self-proclaimed Pride of Mexico went on to prove his worth against Sting with a crippling hangman backbreaker, followed by a slingshot leg drop, garroting Sting on the bottom rope. Things looked bleak for The Icon, but as usual, Andrade's ego may have gotten the better of him as he looked to finish of Sting with his own move, setting up for the Stinger Death Drop. Unfortunately for him, Sting had it well-scouted and turned it around, throwing Andrade into the corner and delivering the signature Stinger Splash! And then Sting decided it was time to show him how it's supposed to be done, setting up for his own Stinger Death Drop. Somehow, El Idolo was able to reserve it into his own Hammerlock DDT and looked set to drop Sting on his head. However, to close the incredible series of reversals, Sting tripped his adversary up and applied the Stinger Death Lock. And despite Zelina Vega's screeches at ringside, pleading with Andrade to hang on, he had no alternative but to submit. The Icon wins, and the WCW Universe couldn't be happier. But you cannot take away from the ability of Andrade who more than held his own against a former World Champion, a Hall of Famer, a legend in Sting. Andrade and Zelina Vega reluctantly retreated up the aisle as Sting enjoyed his celebration with the WCW Universe.</div>

Drew McIntyre to become the new WCW World Champion</b></div>

For the second time tonight, Seth Rollins entered the arena with the WCW Universe behind him, this time doing battle for the WCW World Championship. The Kingslayer looked a bit worse for wear heading into the bout, his match with Dolph Ziggler earlier in the night still taking its toll. But Drew McIntyre certainly didn't care for that, and The Scottish Psychopath made it clear that he was taking no prisoners and went straight on the attack the moment he set foot in the ring, hoping to take advantage of Rollins' fatigue. The World Champion clotheslined his opponent over the ropes and to the outside, unleashing a hellish beating on the number one contender, using his environment to his advantage. McIntyre sent Rollins crashing into the top of the announce table, followed by swinging him head-first into the ring apron with uncomfortable force. The beating didn't stop there though, with McIntyre booting Rollins in the skull moments later, a move that would later prove to have bust open the forehead of his adversary. And then looking to put this one away early, McIntyre delivered a sickening Future Shock DDT, planting Rollins on the top of his head. All seemed to be over when suddenly, The Kingslayer kicked out at the very last second, showing that he still had some fight left in him. And with the crowd chanting "Rollins!" in support, the momentum began running through the veins of the challenger. McIntyre wanted to quickly put an end to said momentum and measured Rollins for a Claymore, but as he bolted towards him, Rollins found something deep down and met him with a superkick to the sternum, hunching over the WCW World Champion. Finding the will to continue, Rollins ascended the turnbuckle and connected with a meteora, taking McIntyre down to the canvas. He measured him up for a Stomp, but McIntyre responded with a Glasgow Kiss, staggering the challenger and allowing him to once again attempt a Claymore. But one last time, Rollins evaded the kick, McIntyre flying across the ring with nobody home, and just before he could climb to his feet, Rollins struck with the Stomp and hooked the leg. And what a moment it was when the official declared the three count. The WCW Universe erupted as Rollins collapsed into the canvas, not only having beaten Dolph Ziggler earlier in the night, but defeating Drew McIntyre as well to capture the WCW World Championship! The referee handed Rollins the title belt and he immediately raised it into the air sharing the moment with the world. Finally, Seth Rollins had captured World Championship gold, and once again stands atop the mountain.</div></div>

Two weeks ago, Evolution made their official return by setting about the Chairman of the Board, Mr. McMahon in a heinous assault that ended with a Pedigree from Triple H to his father-in-law. Tonight, the iconic trio entered the arena to officially declare their superiority over the entire locker room, citing their recent attacks on Roman Reigns and Stone Cold Steve Austin, claiming that any encounter would inevitably end the same way. However, as The Game continued on his egotistical tirade, he was interrupted by the return of the aforementioned Chairman. Mr. McMahon made it clear that Evolution would have to face the consequences for their actions, and they would do just that at SummerSlam. He officially challenged the three men to a Six-Man Tag Team Match at The Biggest Party of the Summer, to which they laughed. Batista asked what made McMahon think that Reigns, Austin and a washed-up old man could defeat them. But Vince revealed that he wasn't going to be the third man, admitting he is past all that. But he promised that they would find out the third man tonight, and in the main event, Batista would go one-on-one with Roman Reigns! Who will the third man be?</div>

The Miz always manages to worm his way out of situations, and tonight was no different. The A-Lister was originally scheduled to go up against Cesaro in a non-title bout, but instead, he chose to reveal moments before the bell that he could not compete due to "parental commitments". However, he did offer The Swiss Superman a replacement, and it just so happened to be Samoa Joe. The Destroyer made his way to the ring for a gruelling battle with Cesaro that saw both men showcase their abilities, but ultimately the victory was Joe's to claim as he forced Cesaro into submission with a Coquina Clutch. And miraculously, The Miz's prior commitments had suddenly ended at the sound of the closing bell as he made his way to the ring to mock Cesaro for his loss. But the former World Champion seemed to be a bit too complacent in regards to Samoa Joe's allegiance, as The Samoan Submission Machine took the opportunity to apply another Coquina Clutch, this time to the Intercontinental Champion! Joe stood over his fallen foes and raised the prestigious gold for himself, showing that he was nobody's ally, and only has one goal in mind.</div>

It was announced via WWE.com just moments before WWE Raw went live on air that The New Day will defend their WWE Tag Team Championships at SummerSlam against none other than The Hardy Boyz. And with that, tonight saw one of each team compete as Jeff Hardy took on Big E in one-on-one action. The two battled it out with no involvement from their allies at ringside, likely out of mutual respect for either team. The Charismatic Enigma was able to secure the victory after hitting Big E with a Twist of Fate, followed by a Swanton Bomb. After the bout, The Hardyz celebrated and gestured towards the reigning Champions that they had the 1-0 advantage. The New Day took it in jest and let them know that they will be ready next time.</div>

The Boss is most definitely in control of the women's division as of late. But her recent attitude change has not only shown her true colours, but has also left her friendship with Bayley in tatters. The pair collided tonight, albeit reluctantly on Bayley's part, as The Huggable One did not want to have to fight her best friend. But it seems that Sasha Banks couldn't care less for her former buddy, and took out all her frustrations on the former Women's Champion during the match. Just as Bayley looked to have had enough and began truly fighting back, she was taken to the canvas and forced to submit to the Bank Statement, handing Banks the victory. Moments later, The Boss went on the attack, continuing to pummel her former friend to the dismay of the WWE Universe. But it was then that the Women's World Champion, Becky Lynch rushed to the ring and engaged in a fistfight with her rival, forcing officials to have to separate the two. The Man may have gotten a small measure of revenge, but has Sasha had the last laugh?</div>

Stephanie McMahon is not holding back when it comes to making WWE SummerSlam the biggest spectacle in history. The Queen of Queens once again made her way to the ring as she had last week, this time to reveal a blockbuster SummerSlam main event that would see in the all-new era perfectly. But before she made the announcement, she brought out the brand new WCW World Champion, Seth Rollins and the ECW World Champion, Finn Bálor for an epic confrontation. Stephanie explained that with both WCW and ECW returning to the vault after SummerSlam, she intends to crown a brand new World Champion, and we will do that by having a rematch from SummerSlam 2016 as Seth Rollins and Finn Bálor will collide to unify the WCW and ECW World Championships, crowning a WWE Universal Champion! The WWE Universe erupted as the two came face-to-face with grins on their faces. Seth Rollins declared his respect for The Extraordinary Man, but also claimed that this time would not be the same result. But Bálor disagreed, informing Rollins that this time he will win, and no injury will stop him from reigning as the WWE Universal Champion. But before things could go any further, the pair were interrupted by the WWE World Champion, Daniel Bryan. The Planet's Champion expressed his disgust in what he had just heard, claiming to be the "only true World Champion" on the roster. He goes on to challenge either Rollins or Bálor to a match tonight to prove that he is the true World Champion. Just as The Architect is about to step forward, Bálor cuts him off, volunteering himself to take on Bryan, to which Stephanie McMahon reveals she feels is a great idea, scheduling the match for right now!</div>

WWE World Champion Daniel Bryan via disqualification</b></div>

With the WCW World Champion, Seth Rollins watching from ringside, Daniel Bryan and Finn Bálor clashed in an incredible bout, one filled with some of the greatest wrestling ever seen on WWE Raw. The ECW World Champion came close to taking out Bryan with a Coup de Grace, but Bryan was able to avoid the move and roll out of the ring. While outside, Bryan picked up his WWE World Championship, only for Seth Rollins to confront him and prevent him from using it. However, as the pair scuffled over the title belt, Bálor flew through the air and accidentally took out Rollins! Bryan slid in the ring with his title in hand as Bálor realised what he had done, returning to the ring after him. But the opportunity had presented itself and Bryan struck with the WWE World Championship, forcing the official to call for a disqualification. Bryan celebrated, despite having lost the match via disqualification, but he was taken by surprise when the number one contender, AJ Styles arrived, delivering a Phenomenal Forearm to Daniel Bryan! AJ Styles stood tall as Bryan retreated with the gold, all the while Rollins had recovered on the outside, giving a glare towards his SummerSlam adversary.</div>

The unstoppable force that is Braun Strowman would continue to run through the roster tonight, but it wasn't quite as easy as his previous encounters. Baron Corbin would put up a valiant fight against The Monster Among Men, as he too had been on somewhat of a roll, but he was still no match for the pure strength of Strowman. The big man claimed control of the match late on and planted his opponent with a running powerslam, driving The Lone Wolf into the canvas for the three count. If Baron Corbin cannot stop this monstrous competitor, then who can? And what role will Braun Strowman play at SummerSlam with the all-new era looming around the corner?</div>

The women's division will undoubtedly be a focal point of the all-new era, and tonight's Eight-Woman Tag Team Match was the perfect way to showcase some of the incredible talent the division has to offer. The union of Alexa Bliss, Mickie James, Mandy Rose and Sonya Deville were able to overcome the combination of Ember Moon, WCW's Naomi and ECW's Natalya and Dana Brooke, punching their tickets to opportunity when the all-new era arrives. Little Miss Bliss was the one to claim the victory, capitalising on the chaos with a Twisted Bliss to Dana Brooke.</div>

Finally, Nia Jax could get her hands on Mike Kanellis for the Hardcore Championship that she feels he robbed from her at WWE No Mercy. With Maria watching on worryingly from ringside, Kanellis tried to combat the power of his opponent, but Jax was having none of it, throwing Kanellis around the ring like he was nothing. When the weapons came into use, he did connect with a few chair shots to the spine, but Jax proved that this isn't a man's world at all when she turned the tables and planted him with a Samoan Drop through a table. However, before she could secure the pinfall, an array of superstars rushed the ring, from Apollo Crews and Curt Hawkins to Mojo Rawley and EC3, among many others. A mass brawl broke out during the Hardcore Championship bout, clearly fuelled by the unique 24/7 ruling of the title. Amidst the carnage, a wise Robert Roode crawled into the sea of superstars and covered Mike Kanellis, the official counting the three and securing him the title without barely lifting a finger. Quickly, The Glorious One retreated with his newly won title belt, but it wasn't long before the other superstars realised what had happened, and gave chase. Now that the 24/7 rule is in full effect, Robert Roode might have to reconsider being so keen to run his mouth in public.</div>

The world was watching, eagerly anticipating the reveal of Roman Reigns and Stone Cold's tag team partner at SummerSlam as promised by Mr. McMahon at the top of the show. But first, The Big Dog would have to go into battle against Evolution's Batista in the main event. The two powerhouses collided in a hard-hitting bout, all while Triple H and Randy Orton stood in The Animal's corner, and Stone Cold stood in Reigns'. For the most part, the match remained between the two official competitors, but everybody knew that Evolution would not keep their noses out for long, jumping in and attacking Reigns, causing a disqualification finish. The Texas Rattlesnake joined the fight to try and defend his fallen ally, but they were still outnumbered by one man. And it was then the the entire WWE Universe exploded as The Rock made a shocking return! The Great One powered down the aisle and unleashed all hell on Evolution, slapping the lips off anything that moved. Triple H quickly scarpered, fleeing up the aisle, leaving Batista to receive a thunderous Rock Bottom. Randy Orton climbed back to his feet, but unfortunately for him, walked into a Stone Cold Stunner! And that's not all, as he stumbled into a Spear from Roman Reigns as well! And finally, The People's Champion stood at his head before bouncing off the ropes and dropping the most electrifying move in sports entertainment - The People's Elbow! Evolution retreated as The Rock completed the trio with Stone Cold and Roman Reigns, revealing himself as the third man Mr. McMahon was referring to. The stage was then set. Just a few days removed from the final pay-per-view before the all-new era unfolds, Seth Rollins emerged to open WCW Nitro as the brand new WCW World Champion, having defeated Drew McIntyre in the main event of Spring Stampede, not to mention competing in the opening contest as well against Dolph Ziggler to earn said opportunity. The Kingslayer thanked the WCW Universe for their support and explained how much the title means to him. He went on to refer to his SummerSlam encounter with Finn Bálor to crown the first WWE Universal Champion, and promised that he would let nothing get in the way of him recapturing the gold. But before he could continue, he was interrupted by none other than Shane McMahon. The Prodigal Son confronted the new WCW World Champion and congratulated him on his victory, only to inform him that he may not necessarily be the one going to SummerSlam, as tonight he will defend his newly minted title against the former Champion, Drew McIntyre, claiming that The Scottish Psychopath now has a fair amount of time to prepare for a single competitor. Rollins isn't too happy, but says that he will prove that his victory was decisive tonight.</div>

With the former United States Champion and Roderick Strong looking on from ringside, Ricochet and Mysterio were able to overcome the odds and defeat the black and yellow duo, once again getting one over on the Undisputed ERA. Moment after the closing bell, Rey Mysterio grabbed a microphone and expressed his desire to issue a challenge to Ricochet, respectfully challenging him to a United States Championship Match at the Biggest Party of the Summer. The shocking assault on the Cruiserweight Champion, Ali and the number one contender Cedric Alexander at WCW Spring Stampede had the entire universe wanting to know Drew Gulak and Lars Sullivan's motives. And with Sullivan by his side, who is going to stop him? After losing out on the opportunity to challenge for the WCW World Championship, Dolph Ziggler had plenty to say to the WCW Universe. He made his way to the ring to rant about how it "should be him" that walked out of Spring Stampede as the WCW World Champion. Luckily for the crowd, it wasn't too long before The Show-off was interrupted by the number one contender to the WWE Championship, AJ Styles, who saved the world from having to listen to more of Ziggler's complaints. He called the former World Champion a crybaby, which infuriated Ziggler, and an impromptu match began. The Phenomenal One was able to dispatch of The Show-off with a Styles Clash, but soon found himself on the receiving end of a running knee as the WWE Champion himself, Daniel Bryan struck from out of nowhere. The Planet's Champion stood over Styles to boos from the WCW Universe, having sent a clear message that he wasn't going down without a fight.</div>

Charlotte Flair and Asuka put on an incredible display at WCW Spring Stampede in a match that was originally set to crown the inaugural WCW Women's Champion. However, due to the arrival of the all-new era, it was reverted back to a grudge match, but this didn't change the focus and determination of either superstar. Unfortunately, the match came to an indecisive close as both women were counted out following a high-risk moonsault to the outside by The Queen, resulting in a double countout. Tonight, Stephanie McMahon emerged to bring the two women face-to-face once again and announce that the pair would square off at WWE SummerSlam to find a deserving winner, and to make up for their original title plans being changed, it would be to crown the first SmackDown Women's Champion! Charlotte Flair and Asuka made each other aware that they were gunning for gold, but which of them will walk out victorious in two weeks?</div>

Another rematch from WCW Spring Stampede, Samoa Joe collided with Shinsuke Nakamura in hopes of avenging his loss at the pay-per-view event. Things were looking bleak for The King of Strong Style as Joe looked to be closing in on a second consecutive victory over his rival, but his actions on WWE Raw came back to haunt him, as Cesaro made a surprise appearance, distracting The Destroyer long enough for Nakamura to strike with a Kinshasa and claim his redemption victory. Samoa Joe was furious as Nakamura and Cesaro retreated up the aisle, but he needs to realise that his actions come with consequences, no matter how dangerous you might be.</div>

Drew McIntyre to retain the WCW World Championship; Ric Flair issues a challenge to Shane McMahon</b></div>

Thanks to Shane McMahon, Seth Rollins was forced to defend his newly won WCW World Championship against the very same man he defeated, Drew McIntyre in tonight's main event. The Scottish Psychopath was being given a shot as a result of what Shane McMahon "substandard preparation time". The two collided in another hard-hitting encounter, much like their Spring Stampede battle, and it was made even more chaotic when Shane McMahon decided to join the party, making his way to ringside. But the Commissioner may live to regret that decision, as his presence brought out The Nature Boy, Ric Flair whom he had relieved of his duties this past weekend. The Hall of Famer unloaded on McMahon on the outside, finally getting his hands on the man who has made his life hell for weeks. The distraction allowed Seth Rollins to capitalise inside the ring and deliver a Stomp and pick up the victory, retaining the title. As Shane McMahon quickly retreated with Drew McIntyre in tow, the 16-time World Champion took to the microphone to issue a challenge to The Prodigal Son. A Street Fight. One-on-one. At SummerSlam. Shane accepted out of anger and Flair promised that he would give Shane the beating of his life as WCW Nitro came to a close.</div></div>

The ECW World Champion, Finn Bálor arrived at The Land of Extreme tonight to address his pending SummerSlam encounter with Seth Rollins to crown the first WWE Universal Championship. Muck like Rollins had stated on WCW Nitro this past week, he was eager to state his claim to the same gold he captured against Rollins at the very same event just a few years ago. Suddenly, Bálor found himself interrupted by The Kingslayer himself and the two had a tense confrontation to kick off tonight's episode of ECW. But their confrontation was short-lived as SAnitY emerged, led by Eric Young. The unhinged superstar declared that since the disappearance of Bray Wyatt, they have been freed from his grasp, and believe that now is their time to take control . Young stated that SAnitY will wreak havoc in the all-new era, and it starts tonight when they dismantle two World Champions at once. Bálor steps up and says that they should back up their claims in the ring, and challenges them to a tag team match in tonight's main event, which Young gladly accepts. Tonight, Young's allies, Alexander Wolfe and Killian Dain will go head-to-head with ECW and WCW World Champions, Finn Bálor and Seth Rollins!</div></p><p> </p><p>

The Knockout Artist was keen to get his career back on track and get his hands on his first piece of gold, throwing everything he had at The Bruiserweight. But Dunne's determination is second-to-none, and it helped him pull through to deliver a thunderous Bitter End to Ohno, securing yet another victory. It seems as though Rusev has truly had enough. The Bulgarian Brute unleashed a relentless assault on The Dominican Dancing Machine, hitting him with power move after power move before finally putting him away with a sickening Machka Kick, laying No Way out for the count. After the match, an intense Rusev screamed to the ECW faithful as Lana watched on with a grin from ear-to-ear. How do you stop The Authors of Pain? The answer is - you don't Akam and Rezar once again ran through a tag team in the form of Breezango this week, showing why they are the ECW Tag Team Champions. Ever since defeating the iconic Dudley Boyz, the duo have been unstoppable. And with Drake Maverick by their side to direct traffic, they are more dominant than ever. After disposing of Tyler Breeze with a huge assisted powerbomb, AOP dispatched Fandango with The Last Chapter to claim their win. For the first time in weeks, Sami Zayn stepped into one-on-one action ahead of his Hell in a Cell clash with Kevin Owens at SummerSlam. The Underdog from the Underground took on Tommaso Ciampa in a hard-hitting bout, keen to get some momentum going before colliding with his former best friend. The match didn't disappoint, but it didn't see a decisive finish due to the arrival of KO himself. The Prizefighter rushed to ringside and engaged in a hellacious brawl with his bitter enemy, tearing apart the ringside area between them as they brawled with absolutely no remorse. The chaotic fight would only be stopped when a series of ECW extremists arrived on the scene to separate the two. The locker room seemed to empty as they pulled apart the hatred-driven pair. It has almost become a guarantee that Shayna BAszler will dismantle an opponent each week. Despite her best efforts, LeRae fell victim to the same hold that has put away so many before her, the Kirifuda Clutch. Candice had no alternative but to submit, and Baszler knew that. The Queen of Spades stood tall and gestured that she wanted some tougher competition. But the question is, is there anybody who can stop this monstrous superstar?</div></p><p> </p><p>

The Kickoff Show of WCW Spring Stampede had an unfortunate end for the Cruiserweight Champion, Ali and his challenger, Cedric Alexander. And that was all thanks to Drew Gulak and Lars Sullivan. The pair dismantled both competitors and rendered the match a no contest, with Gulak then revealing his intentions to become the next Cruiserweight Champion. This past week on WCW Nitro, Gulak defeated Akira Tozawa and officially put his name in the hat for a title opportunity, and this week it seemed he was there to do the same. He laid out an official challenge to Ali for a match at SummerSlam, but his challenge was met with a physical answer. Now only from Ali, but from Cedric Alexander as well! Ali and Alexander emerged through the crowd, wielding steel chairs and unloaded on The Freak while Gulak was able to escape unscathed. Gulak and Sullivan retreated up the aisle in anger as Ali and Alexander stood side-by-side, standing up to the devious duo. As made official at the top of the show, the ECW and WCW World Champions united to take on the destructive force of SAnitY in tonight's main event. Eric Young watched from ringside as Alexander Wolfe and Killian Dain went into battle. Unfortunately for them, both World Champions were not willing to let their momentum be halted heading into SummerSlam and after an incredible bout, a combination of a Stomp, followed by a Coup de Grace to Wolfe was the deal maker and Bálor secured the final pinfall. Finally, The Rock has come back... home. The Great One opened tonight's edition of WWE Raw and directly addressed the upcoming Six-Man Tag Team Match at SummerSlam that will see him unite with his cousin, Roman Reigns and his long-time rival, Stone Cold Steve Austin to take on Evolution. Returning last week as the "third man" that Mr. McMahon had referred to when making the match, The Rock thanked the WWE Universe for their support of him over the years, and expressed how great it feels to be back between the ropes. But moving onto more pressing matters, The People's Champion warned Evolution that there was an ass-whooping coming their way, like it or not. The trio of Triple H, Randy Orton and Batista interrupted The Rock's speech as The Game explained that he should have stayed in Hollywood. The Viper stepped forward to vow that he will kill the legends of The Rock and Stone Cold, while Batista declared that he would leave Roman Reigns a broken man. The iconic trio slowly came closer and closer to the ringside area until Triple H threatened a pre-SummerSlam beatdown for the former World Champion. Never one to back down from a fight, The Rock simply had three words for them - "Just bring it". But before Evolution could strike, Roman Reigns and Stone Cold Steve Austin came through the crowd and stood beside their SummerSlam ally, evening the odds. Evolution quickly reconsidered their plan and instead decided to retreat to boos from the WWE Universe. But there will be no retreating this Sunday when all six men are in the ring in a battle for the ages.</div></p><p> </p><p>

The Miz's attempt to get one over on Cesaro backfired last week when the very man who he chose to be his "stand-in", Samoa Joe attacked him and stated his claim to the Intercontinental Championship himself. However, after the events of WCW Nitro, the story had since developed and a tag team match kicked off tonight's edition of Raw. The team of Cesaro and Shinsuke Nakamura were able to take down The A-Lister and The Destroyer following a serious malfunction between the two not-so-friendly allies. With Miz's focus elsewhere, Nakamura capitalised and dropped the Intercontinental Champion with a Kinshasa for the victory. The chaos continued after the ring bell as Cesaro took the opportunity to strike and planted The King of Strong Style with a Neutraliser! Moments later, Cesaro was grabbed from behind and locked in the Coquina Clutch by Joe! But it was then that The A-Lister struck and got his revenge from last week, planting Samoa Joe with a Skull-Crushing Finale! We are told by Michael Cole on commentary that these four men would compete in Fatal 4-Way action at WWE SummerSlam with the Intercontinental Championship on the line.</div></p><p> </p><p>

The Hardcore Championship and its 24/7 ruling has meant nothing but carnage has followed wherever it goes. Tonight, The Glorious One defended his title against Chad Gable, and in a shocking turn of events, Gable was able to defeat Roode with a German Suplex onto a steel chair. A new Hardcore Champion was crowned, but that also meant a new target was out and the locker room once again emptied to try and get their hands on some Hardcore Championship action. As a mass brawl broke out, Robert Roode capitalised on the situation once more nad rolled Gable up for a quick three count, reclaiming his title and making a run for it through the WWE Universe. The rivalry between Becky Lynch and Sasha Banks finally came to a head tonight on WWE Raw as the pair collided in a match fuelled by bad blood. Back and forth they fought with both women wanting to tear the other apart. However, they forgot one small detail, and that's the added element of Bayley. The Huggable One (who was in the least huggable mood possible) rushed to ringside and confronted her former ally, Sasha Banks before planting The Boss with a thunderous Bayley-to-Belly. The WWE Universe erupted, but as Becky Lynch came to and stood beside the former Women's Champion, she too suffered the effects of a Bayley-to-Belly! Bayley stood tall over both women and screamed that she had had enough. Michael Cole confirmed that the three of them would compete at WWE SummerSlam in Triple Threat action for the newly-named Raw Women's Championship.</div></p><p> </p><p>

Braun Strowman made his way to the ring to address the recently announced Open Opportunity Battle Royal at SummerSlam, announcing himself as a competitor. However, as he was speaking his piece, he was interrupted by the duo of Bobby Lashley and Baron Corbin, both of whom have had run-ins with the big man in recent weeks. The pair declared that they would beat some respect into Strowman, and make him realise that it would be one of them with their hand raised at SummerSlam, not him. And just as they were about to unleash an attack on The Monster Among Men, the theme of Kurt Angle hit to a huge ovation. The Hall of Famer rushed to the ring and stood beside Braun Strowman, having had his own issues with both Lashley and Corbin. An impromptu tag team match took place and it was a huge running powerslam by Strowman onto Lashley that secured them the victory. The Olympic Hero and The Monster Among Men stood tall in celebration with the WWE Universe solidly behind him.</div></p><p> </p><p>

Last week, Jeff Hardy was able to defeat one half of the WWE Tag Team Champions, Big E ahead of their title opportunity at SummerSlam. Tonight, Matt Hardy was not so lucky as he took on the other half, Kofi Kingston. The power of positivity seemed to thrive tonight as Kingston was able to slip out of a Twist of Fate attempt and immediately hit a Trouble In Paradise on the Team Xtreme member, flooring him for the three count. Once again, both teams came face-to-face and shared a respectful handshake. But which team will walk out of SummerSlam with the WWE Tag Team Championships?</div></p><p> </p><p>

Alexa Bliss</b></div></p><p>

After leading respective teams into battle last week on WWE Raw, Alexa Bliss and Ember Moon had some unfinished business that led to this match. While we heard the announcement of a Men's Open Opportunity Battle Royal at SummerSlam, we are told that there will also be a female one as well. Hoping to get some momentum heading into the unique bout, these two collided and it was an impressive Eclipse from the top that secured Ember Moon the victory over the former Women's Champion. The War Goddess stood tall and looked to have all the momentum heading into SummerSlam. We could be looking at this Sunday's Battle Royal winner, and that would mean incredible opportunities await for Ember Moon.</div></p><p> </p><p>

WWE World Champion Daniel Bryan, Drew McIntyre & Dolph Ziggler</b></div></p><p>

In what was perhaps one of the biggest main events in Raw's recent history, AJ Styles team up with the WCW and ECW World Champions, Seth Rollins and Finn Bálor to take on the WWE World Champion, Daniel Bryan and the duo of Drew McIntyre and Dolph Ziggler. An incredible main event to close the current season of WWE Raw as we head into an all-new era. We find out ahead of the match that both McIntyre and Ziggler will be participants in the Men's Open Opportunity Battle Royal, but tonight was about knocking off two World Champions and a number one contender for them. However, when Daniel Bryan decided it was time to abandon ship, leaving them to fend for themselves, they fell victim to a series of finishing moves from their adversaries. Seth Rollins delivered a thunderous Stomp to The Scottish Psychopath, removing him from the equation. And then moments later, Dolph Ziggler was dropped with a Styles Clash, leading into a Coup de Grace from Finn Bálor. The three stood tall as Daniel Bryan retreated up the aisle in a fit of rage. AJ Styles will challenge for the WWE World Championship at SummerSlam, while Rollins and Bálor will collide in their own match to crown the WWE Universal Champion. It's all to fight for when WWE SummerSlam airs this Sunday, only on the WWE Network!</div></div></p><p> </p><p>

The Phenomenal One took the opportunity to open up the final episode of WCW Nitro to address his SummerSlam opponent, the man he will challenge for the WWE Championship, Daniel Bryan. And as Styles explained how he craved to touch the gold again, admitting he would do whatever it took to be at the top of the mountain, he was interrupted by the man himself. The Planet's Champion emerged to badmouth his challenger, claiming that there was no chance in hell that he would walk out of SummerSlam this Sunday as the WWE Champion, because he will snap Styles in half. The number one contender invited the WWE Champion to the ring for a preview, but as Bryan slowly approached the ring, Styles was blindsided by Drew McIntyre! The Sottish Psychopath had clearly struck, hoping to prove a point ahead of the weekends WWE Draft event that will see him sent to either Monday Night Raw, Friday Night SmackDown or WWE NXT. An official appeared and we were sent crashing into an impromptu opening bout.</div>

<img src="https://i.imgur.com/TZ470De.png"><div style="margin:auto; width:650px; background-color:#212121; padding:25px; color:#ffffff; text-align:justify;margin-top:-15px;"><div style="text-align:justify; font:22px Roboto;"><b>AJ Styles def. Drew McIntyre</b></div>

Despite the pre-match assault, AJ Styles was able to battle back and overcome Drew McIntyre in the end, all while Daniel Bryan made himself comfortable at ringside. The Phenomenal One was able to avoid a Claymore attempt and deliver his signature Phenomenal Forearm, taking McIntyre out for the count. As he celebrated, the WWE Champion took the opportunity to strike and gain a one-up over his challenger, but he too fell victim to Styles' wrath and ended up being planted face-first into the canvas with a Styles Clash, allowing him to raise the WWE Championship for himself. Is this the image we will see this Sunday at SummerSlam?</div>

Drew Gulak & Lars Sullivan</b></div>

Challenge accepted. But not quite as Drew Gulak might've hoped. The Philadelphia Stretcher got more than he bargained for when he challenged Ali to a Cruiserweight Championship bout at SummerSlam, as Ali accepted one one condition - that Cedric Alexander also be involved after Gulak cost him his opportunity at Spring Stampede. With the match made official, a tag team match was scheduled for this week's edition of Nitro which put Ali and Alexander against Gulak and his personal muscle, Lars Sullivan. When Gulak saw things going downhill, he quickly retreated, leaving Sullivan to suffer a 2-on-1 disadvantage which played into the hands of the Cruiserweight Champion and his ally. The pair delivered an incredible assisted Lumber Check to The Freak and sealed the deal with an 054 Splash from Ali for the victory. Drew Gulak's title dreams may have just been crushed before his very eyes.</div>

Adam Cole led his Undisputed allies out onto the stage tonight to issue a mission statement that undoubtedly put the entire WWE on notice. He declared that the all-new era would be theirs for the taking, and declared that no matter where they are after this weekend, they will be standing tall as the most dominant force to ever step between the ropes. And that - as he stated - is undisputed.</div>

Before Charlotte Flair and Asuka clash at SummerSlam to crown the first SmackDown Women's Champion, they competed in back-to-back matches with The IIconics, starting with The Queen's bout with Billie Kay. The second generation superstar was able to defeat her adversary by forcing Kay into submission with her signature Figure-Eight Leglock, sending a clear message to Asuka who was already at ringside awaiting the start of her own match with Billie Kay's partner, Peyton Royce. Flair mockingly sat on the middle rope following her victory, inviting her SummerSlam opponent into the ring. Asuka opted to slide beneath the ropes instead as her match began.</div>

<img src="https://i.imgur.com/r8NQsxX.png"><div style="margin:auto; width:650px; background-color:#212121; padding:25px; color:#ffffff; text-align:justify;margin-top:-15px;"><div style="text-align:justify; font:22px Roboto;"><b>Asuka def. Peyton Royce</b></div>

Showing just as much dominance as Charlotte Flair, Asuka secured a victory of her own in a hard-hitting display against Peyton Royce, forcing her to also submit to an Asuka Lock for the win. With The IIconics dispatched, Flair re-entered the ring and stood face-to-face with The Empress of Tomorrow, letting her know that this Sunday would not be as easy. If their Spring Stampede battle is anything to go by, their SummerSlam collision will be even more of a spectacle, and one you won't want to miss.</div>

The Ultimate Underdog heads into SummerSlam with the opportunity to become the United States Champion for the first time in his illustrious career as he takes on Ricochet in what is sure to be an unbelievable bout. The former World Champion competed tonight against his old rival, Andrade and in a winning effort at that, putting The Pride of Mexico away with a 619, followed by a Frog Splash. Moments later, the United States Champion came out to congratulate Mysterio on his big win and raised the title above his head from the stage with a nod of respect, which The Master of the 619 gave right back.</div>

<img src="https://i.imgur.com/e2xoZQ6.png"><div style="margin:auto; width:650px; background-color:#212121; padding:25px; color:#ffffff; text-align:justify;margin-top:-15px;"><div style="text-align:justify; font:22px Roboto;"><b>ECW World Champion Finn Bálor def. Dolph Ziggler</b></div>

After suffering an unfortunate defeat this past week on WWE Raw in a Six-Man Tag Team main event, Ziggler was looking for some retribution over Finn Bálor for the Coup de Grace he received that ended the match. The Show-off went in with vicious intent, taking the fight to the ECW World Champion and perhaps even trying to prevent Bálor from even going to SummerSlam at all. But ultimately, The Extraordinary Man was able to turn the tables and once again drive his boots through the chest of Ziggler with a Coup de Grac,e picking up another victory over the former World Champion, much to his rage. As Bálor celebrated his victory, he was interrupted by the arrival of the WCW World Champion, Seth Rollins as the two came face-to-face ahead of this Sunday's Universal Championship bout. But Dolph Ziggler saw this as another opportunity at revenge, aiming at The Architect with a superkick. But Bálor shoved Rollins out of the line of fire, causing Ziggler to miss, allowing Rollins to instantly capitalise with a Stomp to put The Show-off down for good. The pair once again engaged in an intense staredown as the show continued.</div>

<img src="https://i.imgur.com/fOkZ15d.png"><div style="margin:auto; width:650px; background-color:#212121; padding:25px; color:#ffffff; text-align:justify;margin-top:-15px;"><div style="text-align:justify; font:22px Roboto;"><b>Shane McMahon and Ric Flair sign the contract for their SummerSlam Street Fight</b></div>

What was different about this contract signing than the others experienced in the past? Absolutely nothing. This also ended in pure chaos as Ric Flair and Shane McMahon met to make their Street Fight official for this Sunday. With nobody to oversee the proceedings as McMahon declared he would oversee it himself, anything could have happened. But what it did do was reveal Shane McMahon's true colours, and unleash his honest feelings on the WCW brand. The Prodigal Son opened up about how the only reason he gave himself the job as Commissioner was because he wanted to be the one that was at the helm of WCW's demise again. He explained that he despises everything that WCW stands for and believes it belongs in the grave where it is returning to after this Sunday. He disrespects the icons of WCW - including Flair himself - claiming that they were never a patch on the true legends of the WWE, and even going so far as to say that if it wasn't for him and his family, none of them would have ever worked again. This infuriated Ric Flair, as it did the WCW Universe, and it incited an all-out brawl between the pair as the ink was barely even dry on the page. But as the chaotic events unfolded, it was McMahon who stood tall, kicking Flair between the legs as he had done at Spring Stampede, dropping The Nature Boy with a low blow. He then went on to deliver an impressive Coast-to-Coast on his SummerSlam adversary, leaving the Hall of Famer laying. Giving the middle finger to the WCW crowd, Shane McMahon left as WCW Nitro came to a sickening close on it's final episode.</div></div>

It's once again the final episode of ECW, an experience that Paul Heyman is perhaps all too familiar with. But tonight isn't about negativity, instead it is about the future and all-new era to follow after this weekend's events. The Father of ECW made his way to the ring to address the hardcore faithful one last time as he thanked them for their continued support over the years, making The Land of Extreme live on regardless of whether it airs on TV or not. He leads a chant of "ECW!" with the crowd, only to be rudely interrupted by Elias. The Living Truth declared that ECW's death was deserved, claiming that there's no place for the barbaric nature of ECW in the all-new era. An era that he claims will be led by himself, vowing to lead the charge into the future, a future WWE that stands for "Walk With Elias". He confronts Paul Heyman who gets in his face for interrupting him, telling him that he has no business in an ECW ring. Elias threatens to hit Heyman, only to be taken down by ECW legend, Rob Van Dam from out of nowhere! As Elias scrambles to the outside, Paul Heyman declares that if Elias wants to step into The Land of Extreme one last time, then he's going to compete - against Rob Van Dam - right now!</div>

This impromptu match caught Elias off-guard, but not as much as a diving kick to the jaw from Rob Van Dam. Taking advantage of the extreme rules synonymous with ECW, Van Dam pulled out everything to unleash the pain on The Sinister Songsmith. Elias tried his best to hold his own against the former World Champion, but he was in unfamiliar territory while RVD was right at home. The Whole F'n Show finished his adversary off with a huge Five-Star Frog Splash through the table. After the bell, Paul Heyman returned to the ring for an emotional celebration alongside perhaps the most iconic ECW superstar in history.</div>

In an exclusive interview, Sami Zayn addressed this Sunday's Hell in a Cell bout with Kevin Owens, claiming that the end is truly here. The Underdog from the Underground explained that there will be no holding back, no more sneak attacks, no more backstage brawls, just one final battle inside the most hellacious structure in the history of professional wrestling. Sami Zayn referred to the fact that people have been saying that he and Owens are destined to fight for eternity... but at SummerSlam, it all ends. One last battle, and only one man will leave. And Zayn vows that it will be him.</div>

Heavy Machinery</b></div>

They may have to relinquish the ECW Tag Team Championships as the all-new era begins, but that won't stop them decimating the competition. Akam and Rezar disposed of yet another tag team in the form of Heavy Machinery on tonight's final episode of ECW. The dominant pair took out Otis on the outside, sending him over the guard rail and into the front row, before isolating Tucker and putting him away with The Last Chapter. Drake Maverick applauded from ringside as The Authors of Pain secured yet another victory, and looked as dangerous as ever as they head into the WWE Draft.</div>

Dana Brooke, Liv Morgan & Candice LeRae to advance to NXT Women's Championship Match at NXT's Season Premiere</b></div>

It was revealed before the show that there would be two Fatal 4-Way bouts on tonight's final edition of ECW that would determine two superstars who will compete on the Season Premiere of NXT to crown the inaugural NXT Women's Champion. The first of these two matches took place with Shayna Baszler leaving victorious having outlasted Candice LeRae, Liv Morgan and ultimately forcing Dana Brooke to submit to the devastating Kirifuda Clutch. The Queen of Spades will go on to the premiere episode of WWE NXT to compete for the Women's Championship, but who will she compete against?</div>

Roderick Strong; Chaos breaks out as Tyler Bate, Undisputed ERA and The Street Profits get involved</b></div>

It was announced via WWE.com earlier this week that the WWE Network would host an exclusive 2-hour live event to showcase the WWE Draft ahead of the all-new era, and as well as this there would be four huge matches broadcast alongside it. One of which is a special NXT Showcase that features the teams of Undisputed ERA, The Street Profits, and the duo of Pete Dunne and Tyler Bate. Tonight, The Bruiserweight went into singles action with his ally for the WWE Draft, Bate at ringside, taking on Undisputed's Roderick Strong. The pair went back and forth and the rest of The Undisputed ERA decided to get involved halfway through the bout, Adam Cole, Bobby Fish and Kyle O'Reilly jumping in to assault the ECW Television Champion. Tyler Bate tried to assist his fallen ally, but the numbers game was too much. That was until The Street Profits arrived and evened the odds, siding with Dunne and Bate to fend off The Undisputed ERA, allowing Dunne to deliver a Bitter End to Strong and secure the victory. Tonight they stand united, but this weekend, it'll be every team for themselves as the all-new era unfolds.</div>

The Bulgarian Brute showed an all-new aggression last week when he dismantled No Way Jose, cutting the superstar's momentum dead. Since abandoning Aiden English a couple of weeks ago, Rusev has taken on a new attitude with his wife Lana cheering from the sidelines. Tonight, English looked to get some retribution on his former friend for leaving him in the dust and killing the Rusev Day alliance. But The Artiste had no chance against the overpowering brute who issued several high-impact moves including his destructive Machka Kick. Rusev then finished off his former ally with The Accolade, forcing him into submission. Rusev refused to release the hold despite the officials warnings, until Lana gave the order to her husband to step away. This power couple has shown that they mean business, and with the WWE Draft approaching, that's exactly the kind of attitude to have.</div>

Ruby Riott, Dakota Kai & Natalya to advance to NXT Women's Championship Match at NXT's Season Premiere</b></div>

Shayna Baszler advanced to the NXT Season Premiere earlier tonight with a victory of her own in a Fatal 4-Way bout, but the second match to decide her challenger would take place right now. And despite the best efforts of all four competitors, it was Bianca Belair that pulled forward to take the lead and was able to hit Ruby Riott with a KOD to secure the win and cement her place in next week's NXT return to compete for the NXT Women's Championship. Moments after her victory, The Queen of Spades herself made her way through the curtain to engage in a staredown with her opponent and gestured that she would be walking out as the inaugural NXT Women's Champion. But if Bianca Belair has anything to say about it, she'll prove why she has always been The EST of NXT.</div>

Earlier in the night, Sami Zayn declared that this Sunday would mark the end of a bitter rivalry between himself and Kevin Owens, and The Prizefighter addressed this, wholeheartedly agreeing. But rather than claiming it would simply be the end, Owens made a more sinister threat, vowing that it would be the very last time we will see Sami Zayn. The former World Champion warned that he would not settle until Zayn is carted out of the arena on a gurney, and transported to the local hospital, confined to his bed for the rest of his miserable life. KO looked directly into the camera and gave a very clear message - Sami Zayn... this is it.</div>

Rounding out the very last edition of ECW, and ultimately the final weekly episode before the all-new era truly begins, the WCW World Champion, Seth Rollins arrived in The Land of Extreme for a one-on-one match with Tommaso Ciampa just days before his battle with Finn Bálor to crown the inaugural WWE Universal Champion at SummerSlam. The Kingslayer clearly had this Sunday on his mind, but realised that losing focus against a dangerous competitor like Ciampa would be a huge mistake. He held his own against The Psycho Killer and was able to put him away eventually with a Stomp in a highly-competitive main event. Moments later, the ECW World Champion, Finn Bálor emerged and stood face-to-face with his SummerSlam opponent. Just a few days remain before they collide to crown the first Universal Champion of the all-new era. The pair share a respectful handshake as the show fades to a close, and the road to SummerSlam almost reaches its destination.</div></div>
