No matter what, unless they hit scum that person becomes part of the cult. Sometimes you can see it in the night write-up sometimes not (like everything really).

With there being an actual scum team of say... four or five people, a cult added to that in a game this size can seem to be a bit much/unbalanced. However, to be fair if the cult it limited (can only recruit "x" amount, or only certain people), it can balance out just fine.

On a personal observation: I've never played a mod done by Rayelek, I don't believe... The excitement from people that read the outline, that I have played games they have made, leads me to think that Rayeleks game (this game) might have way more to it then how it appears in the write-up.

This leads me to believe the "cult" theory may have a bit of credibility to it.

Now, I also have a couple of theories that doesn't have anything to do with a cult. If Ray is half as resourceful as I believe him to be, a cult just seems to me to be a little too blunt/in our faces... but then again I only see Leion actually reading it anywhere near how I read it (at least that commented on it).

Then there is the soft defense of IER even with the scum result.

It's all adding up as to why you've been off to me this game DJ.

Anyhow, I know how you lot are and we'll need more evidence before most are willing to jump right at DJ.
So, my long catchup post was obviously delayed. I apologize greatly for my absence but no point dwelling on it.

I have up to page 77 catch typed on my laptop to post later. As of right now, catching up the rest on mobile.

Current live thoughts: I thought Rev was opportunistically jumping on Showtime’s claim to setup a mislynch and trying to analyze the voting patterns to appear town. However, now that I see Showtime backtrack on his claim, then claiming EP in his top 3 reads, that sounds like a harsh slip. tables have turned on that read.

Should probably chime in on the lynch as well, but I said it during Day 2 that it felt like an opportunistic wagon on an inactive. Of course, he did himself 0 favours with his attitude so I can’t judge harshly. I agree on pursuing every name from the voted for him twice list

Hmm, seems that lot of things have again happened while I was away.

I was pretty much doing the pressure vote on an inactive D2. I was out of pocket during that day phase with my better-half "surprising" me with Spring Fair tickets. Was there all day with the family, crashed when I got home and woke up after the wacky manipulation lynch went through. I will say I was not high on The Archer's proclivity to respond in not so kind fashion and may well have dropped a vote on him. It's a shame he came up town but he really did himself no favors.

As for me not voting last phase. Quite frankly I had to get things packed for the trip and just couldn't get back to my computer before leaving. Wasn't about to post while driving either. My vote would have been a symbolic one on Leion btw, quite honestly I don't think the day was ever not going to end in an Archer lynch so no need for me to make a switch to him to just get a voting history out there for us to actually look through.

And to answer the late BHK's question. My vote switch to Archer was just that. Just an attempt to get voting history out there.

This is way back at start of the day phase but guess I should also explain why I voted on day 2 and not on day 3.

So on day two, voted Archer mainly as a pressure post since he´d been mostly inactive. Got back at deadline and didn´t saw any reason to chance vote.

On day three, I missed most of the early part and when coming back, there was something between 4 - 5 votes on Archer (if I remember correctly). Now, I admit some of his answers rubbed me the wrong way but guess they also kind of did their job since I started to think that he might not be scum simply because annoying people didn´t feel like good scum tactic (yeah, I know, doesn´t prove anything) so decided to wait if anything else comes up and cast my vote later. Long story short, real life kind of happened and I didn´t come back until lynch was already achieved.

You'll have to take that up with Ray.

Scum.

Scummier.

Yet you don't lay down a vote. Hate to have three straight by your team?

I don't argue the result but I do argue the implication. I do have a different alignment, but it is still pro town. The only difference in win condition is that for me to win the Captain has to die (no I didn't kill him). I assume there are more with the same alignment, but I don't know. I can't talk to anyone and am legit a pc geek.

If I was acum why on earth would I be told how many non crew there are? I'm sure some of you will doubt that information is real, but please remember that I had given that info in thread voluntarily.

While you make a pretty good defense, I don´t think calling almost everyone who put a vote on you as scum to be a good way to get out of the spot you are.

It isn't about being voted on, it is how some are justifying their vote. Gut instinct.
