ECW.com Preview - Episode #26 of ECW CyberSlam

Previous Episode:

<hr color=black>
D9wRP3R.png

This week's ECW CyberSlam sees a huge Main Event take place, albeit with a stipulation relatively alien to Extreme Championship Wrestling. Low-Ki will go one on one with Sabu, in what promises to be an intense match-up, but one that will not feature Sabu's trademark weapon usage. Announced by Paul Heyman last week, the stipulation certainly plays into the hands of The Hustle's Low-Ki, and will force Sabu to swtich up his usual repertoire.

will also be the only place to see the in-ring debut of Paul Burchill, 7 nights after he debuted as the fourth member of The Extreme Horsemen. Joining the Steve Corino led group, the violent man known as "The Ripper" will introduce himself to the ECW fans against local talent Adam Flash.

It is also expected that CM Punk and Rob Van Dam will once again call out Rhino, following his attacks on both ECW Champions last week, while Tommy Dreamer will continue to press Raven for answers. The two recently returned ECW alumni didn't feel compelled to explain their actions last week, but that's unlikely to stop the line of enquiry...

There will also be an update on Angel Williams, as Jade Chung speaks to Elijah Burke. Last week, Kevin Fertig Chokeslammed Angel Williams in the middle of the ring, resulting in her speanding the week in hospital.
<hr>
Have him kill Kevin Fertig and Ariel and take their place. Well, maybe. Depends on who has better menace... :p

Menace is pretty much Fertig's saving grace at the minute, and while I am not really happy with how I've booked him so far, I'm not ready to "kill" him off just yet :D

The Rhino coming through to get back what belongs to him! A great and logical storyline, because how do you bring back ECW, but not call the Rhino? How do you hold two title tournaments, but disrespect the Rhino?

So far, I think Burke, Fertig and the women have been the worst part of the show, not only numerically via the ratings, but just in general as they seem an isolated element of the show, not interacting with the real ECW stars in any way like Albright got to do. When a guy like Paul Burchill is coming in to leapfrog them to be a part of the Extreme Horsemen, then there's certainly a question as to whether or not you're using all your existing guys to their maximum storyline potential?

Btw, I know Paul Burchill called himself Ripper in reference to Jack the Ripper, but you might be interested to know that Ripper was an old school wrestling term for a kind of wrestler.

http://www.farmer-burns.com/hookers.html

I'd agree with that, and you're spot on with them seeming isolated. It's always that second match/middle of the show lull that they occupy, and I need to get out of that habit. As for Burchill, I see more potential in him than those others, especially with Elijah Burke keep playing up backstage. That's really soured me on his initial push, hence his drop off from the early weeks of the show.

Thanks for the info on the Ripper term, definitely something I can see working into his character and fits him very well.

ECW.com Preview - Episode #28 of ECW CyberSlam

Previous Episode:

<hr color=black>
D9wRP3R.png

This week on ECW CyberSlam, Raven makes his return to in-ring competition, teaming with Tommy Dreamer at the behest of “The Chief of ECW” Paul Heyman. Last month, at ECW Heat Wave 2006, Raven made his return to the company, saving Tommy Dreamer from a defeat that would have spelled the end of his ECW career. Raven later explained his reason for saving his long-term rival, saying that if anybody was going to end Dreamer’s career… it would be him!

The pair will now team, facing Paul Heyman’s Personal Security Team, the two men involved also making their in-ring debuts for ECW. While their identities are currently unknown, Heyman has confirmed both men have previously held Championship gold as a Tag Team, and have years of experience as a unit. Whether Raven and Tommy Dreamer can coexist is another question, but they will have to, or face a brutal beatdown from Heyman’s mercenaries.

Another big story going into this week’s show is the “theft” of CM Punk’s ECW World Television Championship by Rhino. Perceiving the title as a “fake, replica” of the “real” Championship that he has possessed since holding it at the end of ECW’s original run, Rhino has stated that he will only return the Championship if he is guaranteed a chance to face CM Punk. As well as CM Punk’s TV title, Rhino believes himself to be the rightful holder of the ECW World Championship. Recognised Champion Rob Van Dam sees things differently, and will also respond to Rhino on CyberSlam.

On top of those two talking points, The Sandman will make his in-ring return, three months after suffering a career threatening injury at the hands of Sonny Siaki. He faces Danny Doring, and will have a lot of aggression to take out on the former ECW World Tag Team Champion.<hr color=black>

Match Card

Paul Heyman's Personal Security Team vs. Raven & Tommy Dreamer

Danny Doring vs. The Sandman

Little Guido, Johnny Kashmere & Trent Acid vs. The Hustle's Homicide & The Havana Pitbulls

ECW.com Preview - Episode #29 of ECW CyberSlam

Previous Episode:

<hr color=black>
D9wRP3R.png

This week on CyberSlam, two of the biggest names in ECW clash, as CM Punk defends the World Television Championship against Rhino. Despite being the recognised title holder, Punk has been without the physical Championship for two weeks, after it was stolen and placed in a burning trash can by Rhino.

Rhino claims to hold the only "real" ECW TV Title in existence, believing the one CM Punk won was merely a replica.
is the only place to see this huge showdown, between the final TV Champion of the original ECW in 2001, and the current Champion, CM Punk!

Also in action this week will be Raven, who makes his singles return to ECW. Originally scheduled to see Raven & Tommy Dreamer face Sonny Siaki & Xavier, the fact that Dreamer has not been cleared to compete changes things. While Sonny Siaki will certainly be at ringside to support Xavier, it is unlikely that Tommy Dreamer will be in the corner of Raven...

Perhaps more personal than any other rivalry in ECW at the moment, Kevin Fertig will face Elijah Burke, who will be without the support of his girlfriend Angel Williams. She was Chokeslammed in the ring by Kevin Fertig last month on CyberSlam, resulting a trip to the hospital. While she recovers at home, Fertig will have Shelly Martinez in his corner, making Elijah Burke's task all that harder.

As well as those three matches, Paul Heyman has also promised a huge announcement, regarding the pay-per-view future of ECW!<hr color=black>

Match Card

ECW World Television Championship

CM Punk © vs. Rhino

Raven vs. Xavier

Elijah Burke vs. Kevin Fertig

Yeah, you've definitely had a couple of rough episodes recently. Might be time to cut bait on a couple of these undercarders. Are you running house shows of any sort off-screen? Might time to run a monthly card in the ECW Arena or something where the undercarders can do more jobs and git gud.

ECW.com Preview - Episode #30 of ECW CyberSlam

Previous Episode:

<hr color=black>
D9wRP3R.png

is the only place to see this week's CyberSlam, a show main evented by a huge tag team match. Sabu & ECW World Champion Rob Van Dam, will team up to face the current World Tag Team Champions, The Havana Pitbulls, in what promises to be a fiercly competitive match. Representing The Hustle, ahead of their match with Tommy Dreamer & Raven at the upcoming November To Remember pay-per-view, Ricky Reyes & Rocky Romero will be looking to prove themselves against two of the most iconic names in ECW history. Whether they can beat them is another question, but with RVD himself putting over everything he is having to deal with currently on last week's show, there could never be a better time to face the Champion.

Speaking of Champions, and Championship matches, the fallout to last week's ECW World Television title time limit draw will surely be felt, with Paul Heyman set to address Rhino's attack on ECW referee John Cone. As well as that, Paul Heyman will talk about last week's announcement regarding November To Remember, responding to an incident which happened after the show went off the air.

"The Shooter" Brent Albright will also return to action on CyberSlam, introducing his new tag team partner "The Ice Man" Chad Collyer to the ECW audience. Johnny Swinger will go one on one with Steve Corino, on what promises to be great night of in-ring competition.<hr color=black>

Match Card

Rob Van Dam & Sabu vs. The Havana Pitbulls (Ricky Reyes & Rocky Romero)

Johnny Swinger vs. Steve Corino

Brent Albright & Chad Collyer vs. Danny Doring & Roadkill

Available only on
, CyberSlam this week features:
  • Sonny Siaki looking to prove himself to the rest of The Hustle, as he looks to take down Rob Van Dam in the Main Event, one week after Rhino's assistance led The Havana Pitbulls to a victory over the ECW World Champion and his best friend Sabu.

  • CM Punk and Rhino's reaction to their brawl at the end of last week's show, with the ECW Television Champion set to address the ECW fans to open CyberSlam!

  • Johnny Kashmere looking to build a singles career, with his partner Trent Acid out of action. He will face The F.B.I's Tony Mamaluke, who is also desperate to get back to winning ways.

  • Paul Burchill's second match in ECW, against veteran and Original, Balls Mahoney. Part of Steve Corino's Extreme Horsemen, a victory for Burchill is essential, as the group set their eyes on all the gold in ECW.

<hr color=black>

Match Card

Rob Van Dam vs. Sonny Siaki

Johnny Kashmere vs. Tony Mamaluke

Balls Mahoney vs. Paul Burchill

<hr>

Knockoff Chris Benoit and Knockoff Dean Malenko kind of flopped there, even for the midcard.

Excited to see what Burchill outputs for you against Mahoney. He's my pick for a second 'next-gen' ECW star to rise up the card, after Punk.

Yeah it seems to be a theme developing. I wasn't expecting great things, but looking back, it was a really poor start for them.

Given Burchill's ratings before even getting much of a push/momentum built up, I'm definitely optimistic about him rising up the card. I think the roster needs a bit of refinement in the last few months of 2006, and I'm hoping 2007 is going to be a more consistent year for us. I've persisted with a few people in spite of them being pretty useless, so I need to get a bit harsher and not extend a few people when their initial 1 year contracts are up.
