moon_lit_tears
So we have a thread of video games and TV shows, and movies. So i'm really into things like board games and RPGs and even card games. Some of my favorites. Munchkin Binding of Isaac: Four souls. Azul Catan. Pathfinder ACG As for RPGs I love DnD I can be a huge nerd in this aspect. I'm in a game that's just starting and it's based on the lure from Guild Wars 2, so that's going to be fun as well. So i'm curious to hear about what you guys play. Rayelek
Now that I moved back home, I'm picking up all my old games with my friends lol. I have games like Pandemic, Gloom, Catan, Splendor, and Ticket To Ride on either Steam or mobile because I didn't have people to play games with. My friends switched from Pathfinder 1st edition to Dungeons and Dragons 5th edition while I was away, but that's fine. And I play Magic online through MTG Arena but I'll play paper magic using my friends' decks if there is an event worth going to.
Blackman
I'm not a fan of the "euro" boardgames anymore, with half an hour of setup time. When I'm at home I mainly play the digitalized versions of great games, like Waterdeep, Through the Ages, Dominion, Pathfinder, Ascension. All of them great adaptations of the original, and without the sorting hassle. Physical games I still play are the deckbuilders like DC and LCG's. BlueStar
I got a few board games...think some co-op games like Flash Point are really fun.
Jaysin
My brother, friends, and I were playing Far Away Land, but our game has been on hiatus for awhile. It’s like a simplified D&D. Card games wise, Keyforge is a blast.

If you hate setup, Gloomhaven will be a bane for you. It takes a good 20 minutes to set up each time you play. Also, you play Pathfinder, I'm guessing mobile or steam? As that can take some time to set up too. How are you liking it? I play both digital and physical and I prefer the physical copies of the game. It kind of died down in my area though. We did wind up picking up a double horseman deck though..so that was awesome.
Self
<p>I play board games quite a lot these days. Mostly cooperative games with the wife, or things I can play solo. Computer games left me behind a while ago, and board games just sorta work for me. Zombicide. Mansions of Madness. Spirit Island. Takenoko. Pandemic Legacy was a big hit. </p><p> </p><p> Had a collection of 50+ at one point, but I'm cutting it back. Discovering new games is fun, but there isn't enough time to play everything.</p>

I'll admit Finished was a little meh for me? I enjoyed it but not sure how much I'll continue to play it. Palm island has been a blast, and I've yet to crack open Desolate. I'll admit when I ordered it, the box had candy in it...Not sure how I feel about that. <img alt=":D" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/biggrin.png.929299b4c121f473b0026f3d6e74d189.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p>
MightyDavidson
Got a ton of boardgames myself: Gloom, Ticket to Ride, Sentinels of the Multiverse, Boss Monster, Sheriff of Nottingham, Betrayal at House On The Hill and Carcassone among them. bestbitter
Got Marvel Legendary and a ton of expansions (Dark City, Secret Wars 1 & 2, Civil War, X-Men, World War Hulk and all small boxes apart from Noir, Deadpool, Fear Itself, Venom and Dimensions), Zombicide plus Toxic City Mall and Prison Outbreak, The Walking Dead Here's Negan and One Deck Dungeon. As you can probably tell I play mostly solo!<img alt="" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/frown.png.e6b571745a30fe6a6f2e918994141a47.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" />

I've thought about picking it up on Steam, as the dice are color based so I can't play the physical copy. I've seen a few YouTube videos but they are usually sponsored. milamber
<p>Not into physical board games but I play Freecell and Backgammon online most days. Good way to pass the time when I'm bored and don't want to think too hard. Got Gwent, KROSMAGA and Sentinels of the Multiverse but rarely play them.</p><p> </p><p> As for strategy games based on boardgames: I've played a lot of Europa Universalis IV the last few years. I bought Victoria II for dirt cheap last month but can't be bothered dealing with the steep learning curve yet. I played a couple of hours of Tyranny as well but haven't touched it since. Too busy replaying Fallout 4.</p>

When setup is eliminated, I'm sure it's just fine. I'll buy it eventually, as there only seem to be a couple of classes at first. Pathfinder plays exactly the same as the boardgame. I bought a tablet initially especially for that, but got it double on Steam now. Finished it so I'm not really playing it again, though harder difficulties are an option. LotR cardgame on Steam is also quite fun for a while, but gets boring very fast. But as mentioned before time is the real issue here. So many games nowadays... Up to a few years ago we managed to play a Ad&D session every month...lasted a year or two.

Yeah i've seen the physical game and sadly I can't play it, but have it on iPad and put a decent amount of time in it.

Jaysin
My brother, friend, and I started playing a free table top rpg called Dungeon Plungin' and we had a blast. We did two different adventures and in the second one we all died.
