MAW: Where the Future is found

<p>MAW Championship: George Wolfe © vs <strong>Sayeed Ali</strong> (4C)</p><p>

<strong>What I’m trying to figure out is this. Did George get the belt because Gauge signed his usual Japan deal, thus making Wolfe a transitional champion. Or is the promotion getting behind him. Like Historian, I’m trying to take my presumed bias out of the equation. But I’m not seeing Gauge on this card, which makes me think Wolfe is the placeholder and Ali might be the guy. </strong></p><p> </p><p>

COTT Tag Team Championships: <strong>The Ring Generals</strong> © vs Bradley Blaze and Miller Fforde </p><p>

<strong>Blaze has some potential but I don’t see any chance of the RG’s losing the belts here.</strong></p><p> </p><p>

MAW Tag Team Championships: The Dynamite Express © <strong>vs</strong>. DeMarcus & Gray</p><p>

<strong>I’m going to go with a controversial draw here. Right now there doesn’t feel like anyone is in the Dynamite class, so time to build some credibility</strong></p><p> </p><p>

MAW American Championship: <strong>Hal Harvard </strong>vs. Logan Wolfsbaine</p><p>

<strong>I much prefer Logan but I think it’s too early for him at this point</strong></p><p> </p><p>

<strong>The Architect</strong> vs. Trix Triumph</p><p>

<strong>Arch continues to roll</strong></p><p> </p><p>

Penfold Perdition and Felipe Caballero vs. <strong>Sterling Whitlock and Gidayu Katou</strong></p><p>

<strong>i have never seen Penfold amount to anything, but their is always a first. Still I don’t think Felipe can carry the big lug to the win. </strong></p>

MAW: Americana

Attendance: 545

Marvin: Welcome to MAW Americana! Tonight, “The Chosen One” George Wolfe takes on Sayeed Ali, the man who eliminated him in the Rip Chord Invitational, for the MAW Championship. That, plus more here tonight!

IUvMzZl.jpgez6lArf.jpg

mTsYPH0.jpgiRD5C54.jpg

In a poor match, Sterling Whitlock and Gidayu Katou defeated Penfold Perdition and Felipe Caballero in 8:08 when Gidayu Katou defeated Felipe Caballero by pinfall with a Lariat. (35)

Marvin: A good 2v2 prospect match.

Ernest: Yes. But don't be surprised if you dont see some of these guys again. This is of course for them to show off, and I for sure know that Sam Keith won’t sign all of them. (33)

X06R6zB.jpgbC8YGfs.jpg

In a poor match, The Architect defeated Trix Triumph in 9:46 by submission with a Blueprint. (33)

Marvin: A decent performance from The Architect here.

Ernest: He is incredibly close to-Uh Oh!

bC8YGfs.jpg

A freestyle segment called 'Trix Triumph attacks The Architect!' (29)

Marvin: What the hell! Why is Trix doing this.

Ernest: Trix has an awful attitude in the locker room. This is just going to anger the back even more.

Marvin: If Trix wants a rematch he should just say so. No reason to attack Architect.

6750XxR.jpgpHKxW1S.jpg

In a bout that had decent wrestling but didn't have much heat, Hal Harvard defeated Logan Wolfsbaine in 11:07 by pinfall with a Forward Russian Legsweep. Hal Harvard makes defence number 6 of his Mid Atlantic American title. (42)

Marvin: A Valiant effort from the newcomer, but the experience of Hal was too good.

Ernest: Hal is really elevating this-

Marvin: Oh come on. Now that's 2 attacks tonight

zZfoqLD.jpg

Ernest: That god damned fat schmuck ruins my day.

Marvin: You have strong feelings on Jonah.

Ernest: He follows that Jock all around.

Marvin: And he is doing it here, attacking Logan Wolfsbaine for no reason!

Ernest: I hope someone can stop the Frat Pack before i have.

Marvin: And here comes

6HwBUJe.jpg

COPPERHEAD!

A freestyle segment called 'Copperhead saves Logan Wolfsbaine from The Frat Pack' featuring Hal Harvard, Jonah Pilgrim, Logan Wolfsbaine and Copperhead. (37)

Ernest: This? This is my best hope!

Marvin: He’s coming down and laying it all down!

Ernest: Punches to Jonah. The Frat goes down.

Marvin: Hal is running! Leaving his friend behind!

Ernest: Looks like Hal has a new challenger…

Marvin: And you didn't think he could do it…

hm5CA9b.jpg

A freestyle segment called 'Greg Gauge is in Japan and he will return to America soon!' (23)

Marvin: We can report that he will be back for the Sam Keith Classic! We do not know of his partner. We wish Gauge well in representing us in PGHW!

Ma4Jfja.jpgSLdcUzB.jpg

qm4vKJq.jpgTvxaJFO.jpg

In a bout that had decent wrestling but didn't have much heat, The Dynamite Express defeated DeMarcus & Gray in 12:29 when Cameron Jones defeated Tyrone Gray by pinfall by using underhanded tactics. The Dynamite Express make defence number 14 of their Mid Atlantic Tag Team titles. (44)

Marvin: WOW. Unbelievable. They couldn't beat them so they resulted to cheating.

Ernest: Oh shut up! What the Ref sees counts. When he can't then take advantage!

Marvin: But like that in a title match! Ridiculous.

bl1Q47b.jpgjT1pnxn.jpg

jI8oUI2.jpgxrDuMVh.jpg

In a decent match, Dean Waldorf and Marv Statler defeated Bradley Blaze and Miller Fforde in 12:14 when Dean Waldorf defeated Bradley Blaze by pinfall with a Waldorf Salad Toss. During the match we also had Roderick Remus run in and attack Fforde. Dean Waldorf and Marv Statler make defence number 7 of their COTT World Tag Team titles. (43)

Marvin: Why did Remus do that!

Ernest: Man, tonight is the night for attacks!

Marvin: Sam Keith better suspend these attackers!

QFjALsW.jpg

Remus: While you sit there, as uncomfortably as you can. I ask you a simple question. Why are you like this? Why do you get into my plans for greatness. I simply want that goddamn title back and you decided to ruin that for me. I suggest you run outta here as soon as you can, but I want one thing to do with you before you run. I want an I Quit Match! Next Month!

A freestyle segment called 'Roderick Remus challenges Miller Fforde to an I Quit Match' (31)

Marvin: Well this is a change of events! Remus gets his big rematch!

Ernest: This is Miller Fforde’s chance to show he is the stuff!

rExzaTr.jpgVBtPynS.jpg

In a decent match, George Wolfe defeated Sayeed Ali in 15:04 by pinfall with a Running Powerslam. George Wolfe makes defence number 1 of his Mid Atlantic Championship title. (35)

Marvin: Wolfe evens out his only loss this year. He is going to be champ for a while. Someone needs to stop him.

Ernest: I hope Wolfe can keep up the good performances and Hold up!

xrDuMVh.jpgrExzaTr.jpg

A freestyle segment called 'Bradley Blaze steps up to the plate against Wolfe’ (39)

Marvin: Looks like Bradley Blaze is going to be the man to step up

Ernest: I hope for the best, but I don't have the best hopes for him.

Marvin: Well he better get ready. If not then he will have a bad time.

Ernest: Well, that's all for tonight! This is your job, ending the show and stuff.

Marvin: I was just getting to that! See you next time for more MAW!

After the show I got a weird call. Some monotone guy stated “4-3-9-1” then hanged up. I don't know what that means exactly but I am a person who takes in everything in even if it's unimportant. Anyway I fired Sterling Whitlock, Penfold Perdition, and Felipe Caballero. I'm keeping Katou as he is a raw but good prospect and Seth because he made the finals. I also hired Miguel Rivera, who CZCW let go of. He looks alright and I feel I can work him into MAW shape. Here is the card for MAW Old School Rules

MAW Championship: George Wolfe © vs Bradley Blaze

I Quit Match: Miller Fforde vs Roderick Remus

MAW American Championship: Hal Harvard vs Copperhead

The Architect and Logan Wolfsbaine vs. Trix Triumph and Jonah Pilgrim

Syd Collier vs. Nate DeMarcus

Miguel Rivera vs. Gidayu Katou vs. Ralph Liotta

MAW Championship: George Wolfe © vs Bradley Blaze

I Quit Match: Miller Fforde vs Roderick Remus

Roderick is a bigger star here but A. he could be poached soon (or is in the process) and B. I don't see the face quitting.

MAW American Championship: Hal Harvard vs Copperhead

Copperhead is one of the reasons I always create a COTT World Junior Heavyweight Championship. He and the Architect and Fforde are tailormade for a Junior Heavyweight Division.

The Architect and Logan Wolfsbaine vs. Trix Triumph and Jonah Pilgrim

Syd Collier vs. Nate DeMarcus

Miguel Rivera vs. Gidayu Katou vs. Ralph Liotta

I love Liotta -- but in a team. So he'd be fine doing the job here to continue to establish Katou as a player.

MAW Championship: George Wolfe © vs Bradley Blaze

Well I guess I was only partially right about Wolfe winning the gold. Gauge is doing his Japan thing, but Wolfe retained the gold. While Blaze can be an interesting player down the road, I don’t see him pulling off the upset.

I Quit Match: Miller Fforde vs Roderick Remus

Anything can happen in this type of match. Perhaps some shenanigans happen and Fforde can’t respond so the ref calls the match.

MAW American Championship: Hal Harvard vs Copperhead

The Architect and Logan Wolfsbaine vs. Trix Triumph and Jonah Pilgrim

Logan’s young and green enough to take the L here but the other side just don’t deserve a win

Syd Collier vs. Nate DeMarcus

They can’t win the tag match, maybe they can get a singles win

Miguel Rivera vs. Gidayu Katou vs. Ralph Liotta

<p>Well I have to admit that was a very unpredictable card. Interesting move with Copperhead winning the 2nd belt. </p><p> </p><p>

Sad news about KC Glenn. On the bright side at least in another universe, Robert Oxford’s daughter and grandchild aren’t without him. That might have made old Rob close up shop</p><p> </p><p>

Let me take another stab now at this upcoming card.</p><p> </p><p>

MAW Championship: George Wolfe © vs. <strong>Roderick Remus</strong></p><p>

<strong>I guess I’m just not believing in George</strong></p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Greg Gauge</strong> vs. Miguel Rivera</p><p>

<strong>Rivera beat a couple of fellow lower rung guys. He steps way up in level of competition here</strong></p><p> </p><p>

<strong>The Architect</strong> vs. Trix Triumph</p><p>

<strong>I’m going to keep going with Arch</strong></p><p> </p><p>

MAW American Championship: <strong>Copperhead</strong> © vs. Jonah Pilgrim</p><p>

<strong>Um, Copperhead I guess</strong></p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Cameron Jones</strong> vs. Tyrone Gray</p><p>

<strong>Apparently Gray and DeMarcus are just out classed so I’ll ride the Express</strong></p><p> </p><p>

Hal Harvard, Syd Collier and Seth Whitehead vs. <strong>Miller Fforde, Logan Wolfsbaine and Nate DeMarcus</strong></p><p>

<strong>Momentum is with the heels and these poor faces could use an upset. I’ll say Fforde slips one by while Whitehead trying to keep up with his partners</strong></p>

Ernest: Luckily for him he has a break from defending the belt but he has the chance to win the Sam Keith Classic!

Marvin: Well with 4 MAW teams and 4 COTT teams, who will be able to get the win? We will find out next month, at the Sam Keith Classic!

A decent show. Wolfe has become a really good wrestler. He had a good match and had one of the best angles of the year. He looks like a monster. Tourneys are generally tough to predict but I really feel Gray and DeMarcus need to win or go their separate ways

Sam Keith Classic Matches:

Finals: Gauge and Bradley vs Gray and DeMarcus

And the winners......Gray and DeMarcus getting over Blaze

Semi Finals: Flash and Smith vs Gauge and Blaze

Another great performance for Gauge

Semi Finals: Demarcus and Gray vs Going Coastal

Now or never for these two to step up

Quarter Finals: Blackley and Ali vs Flash and Smith

Gotta go with the Veteran Steve Flash and the Bulldozier

Quarter Finals: Greg Gauge and Bradley Blaze vs The Montero Brothers

Gauge is the difference

Quarter finals: Dynamite Express vs DeMarcus and Gray

Seems like a spot where finally DeMarcus and Gray can get a win and not cost the champs the title. That said I hate having the champions not escaping the first round

Quarter Finals: Miguel Rivera and George Wolfe vs Going Coastal

Established tag team over a thrown together team despite having the champ on the losing side

Non Tournament Matches

MAW American Championship: Copperhead © vs Hal Harvard

Well I’d be shocked if the Copperhead train slows down now

The Architect vs. Logan Wolfsbaine

Kind of an interesting clash here, but I’ll take the veteran

Josh Jacobs, Miller Fforde and Cheetah Boy vs. Seth Whitehead, Johnny Needham and Ralph Liotta

In a bout that had a decent reaction from the crowd but sub-par wrestling, Hal Harvard defeated Copperhead in 11:16 by pinfall with a Forward Russian Legsweep. Hal Harvard wins the Mid Atlantic American title. (38)

Ernest: That dastardly Hal gets another win!

Marvin: How does he keep doing this. No one here likes him. Why is he here?

tK2NGJV.jpgHVBkyR7.jpg

GN4cBeo.jpgmwTt5Sn.jpg

In a decent match, Bulldozer Brandon Smith and Steve Flash defeated Going Coastal in 17:48 when Bulldozer Brandon Smith defeated Frankie-Boy Fernandes by pinfall with a Backdrop Driver. Bulldozer Brandon Smith and Steve Flash win the Sam Keith Classic titles. (49)

Marvin: Team NYCW have won the Sam Keith Classic!

Ernest: This continues both men's Hall of Cott careers.

I walked into the office. It was quite large for a DAVE Ripoff Wrestling company. Now I don't like Mitch, he is quite an idiot in terms of Wrestling knowledge. But this meeting was necessary.

gMushaG.jpg

“Hello Sam.”

“Hello...Mitch.”

“So why are you here?

“You know why I am here.”

“Well…”

“Listen Mitch. You are losing against NYCW in those Regional battles and are beating us in them. It would make sense for you to join the COTT. In doing so, we all win and can fight the big boys.”

“....No.”

“Why not?”

“Because I want to destroy you. You and your COTT ruin wrestling. And if I can't destroy Richard’s Circus, I will destroy yours. Now good day sir”

A very different ending than I expected. I was going to continue but Grandmaster Phunk was giving me a long stare. So I got up and left. When I was far enough away from that building, I made a call.

“This is Sam, You're In Carlos.”

nX4TdpF.jpg

“Excellent. Puerto Rico welcomes your decision.”
