alpha2117 Posted November 6, 2019 Author Share Posted November 6, 2019 WELCOME to the Pleasuredome 2 from The Garage Glasgow Scotland Pre Show - Candy Lee, Nyla Rose, Mariah Moreno, La Chica YeYe & Jessica Love def Polvo De Estrellas, Pimpinela Escarlarta, Pasion Crystal, La Diva Salvaje & Yuriko Golden Truth def Bro-Mans Lizzy Valentine, Annie Social, Rain, Velvet Sky & Melina Perez def Local Talent - Jokey, Courtney Stewart, Jayla Dark, Layla rose & Sara-Marie Taylor Army of 2 and El Classico go to a Double DQ The Miz w Maryse talks about his toughest title defence yet tonight against former NWA World Champion Nick Aldis. Miz was in a much more serious mode here with less joking and a lot more intensity. This is followed by a promo from Aldis who is accompanied by Drake Maverick and Mickie James. Aldis is all business talking about he's fighting for Britain, Honour and the Legendary 10 lbs of Gold the most storied title in Wrestling History and he's going to take it from the Sports Entertainer and put it back around the waist of a real Wrestler tonight. Both guys were on top form on the mic and the crowd responded enthusiastically. 1: Mr BunBun & Colt Cabana def Joey Ryan & Scarlet Bordeaux - One of these things is not like the others and Scarlet struggled somewhat in a match that was worked at a fast pace and with a lot more intensity than the WS_X Jigglefests she is more suited too. That left Joey Ryan is what effectively was a handicap match where his two opponents played up the fact that they wanted none of his penile attack nonsense. The ending sequence summed the match up - Scarlett Bordeaux was ineffectively on the ring apron when Colt Cabana circled the ring as if to attack her - she screamed - ref Yuzuki Aikawa was distracted and that allowed Mr BunBun to deliver perhaps the most savage looking low blow delivered in any wrestling ring in recent memory. Ryan sold the shot as if it was real (which it looked like it was) and NunNun then almost casually went to the top turnbuckle and delivered his 450 on the fallen man who was cradling his groin. This match was by no means a classic but as a logical way to end the feud between these teams it made total sense. 2: Burlesque def Charlie Morgan & Jetta - Miranda & Maz are slowly improving in ring but are still really Burlesque performers at heart, normally that would be a negative but here in WS_X it's very much a positive. The story that was woven in this match is that Jetta may or may not be cheating on Charlie Morgan with Miss Miranda or Mamzelle Maz or both. Every move between Burlesque against Jetta was played up more like girly play fighting whilst Morgans offense was much more aggressive. Stylistically it worked because it conveyed both the Jiggling that the crowd wanted and some sort of meaningful storytelling. Miranda covered Jetta for the pin in a way that made it look like they were about to make out in the ring. It was then that the W_X booker pulled a twist that may well have been the single most exploitative and well brilliant thing ever don't in a WS_X ring. Charlie Morgan is in the ring after the match - having another meltdown, she's crying she's yelling about Jetta cheating on her and having a meltdown of epic proportions. Miranda grabs her and kisses her on the mouth passionately. Charlie struggles for a few seconds before kissing her back. Jetta looks shocked, Maz laughs out loud. Miranda lets Charlie go and she and Burlesque leave the ring. It's Jetta's turn now to look less than pleased with what just happened. The crowd is going nuts. I have no idea if this was the end of this feud or not but that match and the segment after it are amongst the most successful things in terms of reaction that have ever happened in a WS_X ring. 3: Estrella Divina def ASUKA to retain the Queen of Queens - Estrella Divina's run has been down a little on ASUKA's initial run but it kicked up a notch here with a battle between the current champ and her predecessor. Both of them came out fast after the Hot Lesbian Action angle and flew round the ring in a frantically paced bout. These tow are still very young but already have impressive in ring skills and while it was never going to capture the crowd in the way hot girls kissing did it successfully created a buzz in the crowd and so far that's very much been what the Queen of Queens matches have been used for in WS_X. Music & Lyrics cut a promo on their Tag title match tonight. Once again it's played a little more serious and less for laughs than we are used to from the WS_X. It's clear that they want the Tag and World bouts to feel more important tonight. 4: Cheerleader Melissa regains the NWA Women's title from Mickie James - Melissa is the best female worker WS_X has and Mickie isn't far behind. WS_X women's matches don't normally call on them to use their skills to their fullest of course but they were able to convey enough of a sense of drama and excitement to lift this one. It's been a good night for the girls so far because this wasn't a jiggle-fest - instead they let the girls wrestle. It probably brought the potential reaction from the crowd down a little but in terms of adding much needed credibility to the NWA Women's title it was a huge step. The Fashion Police with a promo before their title defence - once again he jokes are gone and the two are bringing a level of intensity we haven't seen before. It's easy to forget that underneath the silly goofy gimmick these two are genuinely talented both in ring and on the mic. 5: The Fashion Police retain the NWA Tag titles over Music & Lyrics - This was a really good fast paced match where everybody seemed to be on good form. Elias used his size and power well to dominate parts of the match whilst the other three flew about the ring. The NWA Tag title has changed hands a few times already in WS_X's short history and keeping the belt on the Fashion Police here was probably the right call but Music & Lyrics look certain to come back for another attempt sooner rather than later. They do big match entrances for the World title match giving the main event a sense of occasion. Both men seem pretty over with the crowd especially The Miz 6: The Miz def Nick Aldis by DQ to retain the NWA World title - This one went nearly half an hour and was a terrific match. Aldis & Miz are both pretty good in the ring and the intensity and build-up to this match made it feel like it had some meaning. Miz had Aldis in position for the Skull Crushing Finale at the 28 minute mark when Drake Maverick hit the ring and nailed Miz from behind for the instant DQ. WS_X is in a difficult position with their World title picture as The Miz is clearly their star attraction and until they can either sign or build up someone to the sort of level required to make a title change credible it's going to be a tad predictable in these World Title bouts. This match did a good job making Aldis look up to the level of challenger but ultimately he still looks a ways off regaining the belt. For anyone who picked Nick Aldis to win - you would have been right if Miz didn't throw a hissy fit at the suggestion of taking a loss. Within the game this saw me decide to take what I consider desperate measures to address the situation. A bunch of contract offers were made following this show both to address that situation and to better utilise a couple of my talents going forward by actually giving them something resembling storylines. WS_X fans don't expect storylines but from a booking point of view having something to drive the narrative is a plus. Absolute Andy, Tajiri and Jinder Mahal have actually worked in the fed but don't have any obvious direction right now but starting from the next show that's going to change. Honestly all 6 matches weren't just thrown together like most WS_X shows. These are the rivalries that have been built up since WS_X started and those storylines for want of a better word all kind of came to a head on one show and it felt appropriate for those matches to be treated as being important to the participants. Don't worry the stupidity is about to return as of the next show. I just felt like writing a show that felt different and I knew this was the one designed to be the climax of 2 and 1/2 months of in game stories before the next show sets the table for the road to New Years Evil! I think we know who should dethrone though. Yeah I loved Music & Lyrics as soon as I thought of the idea - I am actually surprised that the WWE didn't try it. He really struggles in faster paced and longer matches. Story-wise it's clear they are playing off that with Mamba going hard and trying to tire him out. The crowd really doesn't seem to like Big Machine much either so that was another issue with the match. Both tried and failed to cheat several times before Velvet outcheated Mickie. Velvet's Sky's Iconic entrance was the high point as far as the crowd was concerned. We have long since established that WS_X is anything but normal. As a huge mark for both, I’m happy you found a angle for Jetta and Charlie, even temporarily. Thanks glad you are enjoying it. The whole point of this series is to do something different, throw in WWE Attitude Era with CHIKARA, Matter of Pride and things like that. I really wanted to take some of the worlds LGBTQI+ (whatever the acronym is this week) and give them a bit of a showcase. Sadly Charlie has retired from in ring so that meant I signed her on For Anything contract but a in-ring role isn't what makes her happy. The Fashion Police got the win but the Bro-Mans looked pretty good in defeat. 5: The Miz defeated Tajiri to retain the NWA World title by DQ - The Miz and Tajiri have had really good chemistry so far and this was no exception. Tajiri's in ring career is coming to an end but his new cyborg persona is working and the two men worked hard. Miz came to the ring without Maryse which I assume was to protect her from Tajiri. The match came to an end when The Miz had Tajiri positioned for the Skull Crushing Finale but was then taken out by two men who hit the ring. Jordan ''Yeah'' Miz ''You may well be the craziest guy on this roster and that's saying something kid … that said you showed me respect and I kinda love that … I'm looking forward to this match tonight … I'm going to hand you your head of course but … well I kind of like you kid'' Jordan ''I kind of like you too old man'' Miz '' …. and we're back to hate again'' 1: Emblem w Tajiri def Golden Truth - WS_X was clearly trying something different tonight as a bunch of veterans came out and worked a WRESTLING MATCH! Not a jiggle-fest nor a high octane run and gun style match or even a terrible comedy match but an actual old school wrestling match with holds and everything. Emblem are still really good in the ring and Tanaka is one of the great brawlers of all time and despite the crowd not being overly familiar with their work they were able to get over. A lot of the credit is down to Tajiri - his combination with Emblem as a manager was particularly good and his green mist spot near the end got a great reaction from the crowd. Truth took the pin from Otani after Tajiri spat the mist in his face. The Fashion Show with Miranda, Maz, Maryse, Lizzy, Taryn and Barbie - Let it never be said that the WS_X doesn't know what it is or be unwilling to have a self aware dig at itself over that. Breeze and Dango presented another one of their fashion shows with a bunch of model/actress/ cabaret performer some time wrestlers to a soundtrack that included a cover of the old Sheena Easton track ''Strut". Strut Pout Put it Out that's what you want from women! The crowd of course does appear to only really want that from the WS_X women but everybody seems to treat that with a bit of a nod and a wink and the Fashion Show as normal made the objectifying of women look a tad silly by poking fun at ridiculous fashion whilst at the same time celebrating it. (pictures unavailable) 2: Scarlett Bordeaux & Joey Ryan def The King Danza & Queen Maya - Joey & Scarlett took on Italian Workers Maya and Danza in a pretty ordinary bout. The makers of this diary would like to apologise not being able to provide pictures of Maya or Danza but the death of the keyboard on a laptop today means that access to the c drive on that beast is not possible until a portable keyboard is borrowed and plugged in allowing uploading of those pics. On the plus side that means you don't get to see Danza which frankly is a good thing because he's basically Rusev without the rugged good looks. So Ugly Rusev took the pin from Joey. 3: Alicia Fox defeated Mickie James - So they are pushing Alicia Fox now? As Miz would say … really? Really? REALLY? She's pretty but other than that Northern Lights Suplex she's not exactly compelling in ring. I guess they cant just endlessly have Melissa and Mickie swapping the Women's title and need other credible threats and Alicia is probably the closest thing they have to another option right now. Alicia hits the Northern Lights Suplex for the win. 4: The Fashion Police def Colt Cabana & Mr BunBun by DQ to retain the NWA Tag titles - A really good match worked at a fast pace where the guys really went all out to entertain. There was the continuing thread running through the match of BunBun's dubious mental state and the end of the match played off that as once again he seemed to snap and go bug-nuts crazy. He broke up a pin attempt by Breeze on Cabana with a vicious steel chair shot to Breeze's back. This was followed by a shot to Fandango's solar plexus with the chair when he came in to protect his partner. Colt got in his face and seemed to be able to talk him down and stop any further acts of violence by the increasingly unhinged and violent rabbit head wearing PJ Black. Just as Colt seemed to restore order everything went pear shaped Nick Aldis & Associate (Drake Maverick) hit the ring and take down Colt before double teaming Black and ripping the Bunny head off of him. This causes Black to go full on psychotic as he fights back eventually grabbing the chair again and nailing shots on Aldis, Drake, Breeze and Fandango. He's the last man standing in the ring and is holding the chair above the fallen Cabana and visibly shaking with rage. There's a moments tease of him nailing his fallen tag partner as well when Dream Castle (Velevteen Dream and Dalton Castle) hit the ring and overpower him before nailing a sweet looking double team powerbomb onto the chair. 5: The Miz w Maryse def Jason Jordan to retain the NWA World title - An absolutely terrific match between Jordan and the Miz. The two men really clicked and that lifted the quality of the match up a couple of notches. Jordan was given plenty of opportunities to showcase his skills. Miz was pushed and won with the Figure Four rather than the Skull Crushing Finale. Post match The Miz offers his hand to Jason Jordan and the two men shake hands - then a familiar sounding piece of music hits - the crowd goes nuts (Insert a picture of Kurt Angle here in your mind) Miz is standing in ring as Angle hits the stage area. Miz looks shocked. Angle ''I gave Jason some advice last night about how he could beat you Miz but you managed to get the win tonight. That's not going to happen at Welcome to the Pleasuredome 3 though because you'll be facing a man who not only wants those 10 pounds of Gold but who knows exactly how to go about winning Gold! Step one - soften up your opponent'' Jason Jordan has moved behind Miz and grabs him - he hits a German Suplex on the champ as the show ends. I legit dislike the guy because of all the horrible things he's done over the years but I know that when it comes to booking the WS_X he's going to work. The Bunny stuff is really good, just having that edgier storyline slowly playing out adds a nice contrast to the silly stuff. We are getting a 4 way for the tag titles soon I hope.
