Bob Caudle and Buddy Colt welcome us to the show and highlight that tonight we’ll see the Rock and Roll Express in action. In addition Larry Zbyszko will be going against Jules Strongbow and in our main event former NWA World Champion Harley Race versus Kerry Von Erich! We’ll also have a special guest here in the studio.

Rock and Roll Express vs Carl Fergie and Kelly Kiniski

The Rock and Roll Express is kicking on all cylinders. It’s a standard match tag match that sees the heroes make the comeback and then pick up the win.

Winners by Pinfall: The Rock and Roll Express

A pre taped video of NWA United States Champion Magnum T.A. is shown as he’s working out by chopping wood. He says that the key to staying a champion is working hard, training, and keeping your edge. He spent a long time chasing their title and he won’t give it up. So whoever wants a shot, step up, and he’ll knock’em down! As if needed, we get the shot of him splitting a log to drive the point home.

We go back to the studio where Caudle and Colt are joined by Gary Hart. Hart says that he is glad he was sitting with witnesses seeing that video because Magnum T.A. just signed his death warrant. There are top talent in the NWA, all aiming at people like him and Ric Flair and how he taunts them? That’s not smart but Hart says he’s made a career of taking advantage of stupid people. If Magnum is looking to become the hunted, Hart says he knows just the man to track him down.

Larry Zbyszko vs Jules Strongbow

A good back and forth match. Zbyszko controls early but Strongbow makes a strong comeback and gets a near pin but Zbyszko gets his foot on the rope. Zbyszko uses the momentary confusion when Strongbow thinks he has won to take advantage and hits his opponent with a savate kick followed by a piledriver for the win.

A very 80s style music video of Ricky Steamboat is shown, highlighting some of his martial arts and his high flying.

Harley Race vs Kerry Von Erich

A fantastic matchup between two generations. Both men show their power and strength and they trade the momentum back and forth. Von Erich hits his discus punch, knocking Race back into the referee. With the referee down, Race uses some underhanded tactics to reclaim the advantage and he finishes off the younger opponent by throwing Von Erich’s head up over the turnbuckles into the ring post and followed up with a falling headbutt.

Winner by Pinfall: Harley Race

Caudle and Colt thank us for tuning in again when suddenly Jim Cornette wanders onto the set, demanding to discuss the single greatest tag team walking God’s green Earth but Caudle tells him they’re out of time. Caudle and Colt get up and walk off the set leaving Cornette who is still demanding time to speak until we see the studio lights are turned off on him.

“Ladies and Gentlemen! Welcome to the Bicentennial Center! Tonight you’re in store for an awesome night of professional wrestling. We’ll see the American Dream Dusty Rhodes go one on one with Cowboy Ron Bass. In addition we’ll have the Raging Bull Manny Fernandez tangling with the Ugandan Giant Kimala. And of course our main event, the Nature Boy Ric Flair will team with Ricky Steamboat and they will face Tully Blanchard and Nature Boy Buddy Landel Sit back and relax because tonight Jim Crockett Promotions and the National Wrestling Alliance are in the house!”

The Andersons © vs The Rock and Roll Express

A great back and forth between two of the best tag teams in the world. The Andersons play the standard game of keeping Gibson in their corner and we get the hot tag to Morton who goes for several near falls on Ole. When Arn intercedes Gibson meets him with a dropkick and it's a four man brawl. As referee Earl Hebner gets Gibson and Arn separated, Ole reaches into his trunks and punches Morton which knocks him cold. Ole makes the cover and gets the win.

Winners by Pinfall and still NWA World Tag Team Champions: The Andersons

The Andersons collect their titles and look to be leaving as Robert Gibson checks on his partner when they suddenly turn and attack him. It’s an obvious double team and Gibson is overwhelmed. With Morton unable to help his partner, the Andersons deliver a spike piledriver onto one of the title belts and Gibson just flops lifelessly as officials hit the ring and force the Andersons to leave. Morton who is barely conscious himself crawls over and covers his partner to shield him from further attacks.

Terry Taylor w/Robin Green vs Rick Rude

A good back and forth match. Rude spends a lot of time flirting with Green who is in Taylor’s corner and Taylor does not take kindly to it. Rude presses an advantage and shows off his strength but he just can’t help but show off in front of Green. This opens an opportunity for Taylor and makes the most of it, sending Rude into the corner and hitting a running knee. Rude is groggy as Taylor puts him on the top and hits a superplex from the second rope for the win.

Winner by Pinfall: Terry Taylor

Taylor celebrates his win and holds up the ropes for Ms. Green to come into the ring. She gives him a kiss on the cheek and raises his arm in victory to the crowd’s delight.

Manny Fernandez vs Kimala w/Gary Hart

The match is physical and brutal but Fernandez doesn’t back down and presses the offense. Hart on the outside appears nervous but continues to shout instructions to his man who puts Fernandez down with a series of chops and kicks. When Kimala goes for his splash, Fernandez moves and the crowd loves it. He’s pouring everything he has down on Kimala when Hart has seen enough. Hart climbs into the ring and hits Fernandez in the back which causes the disqualification.

Winner by Disqualification: Manny Fernnadez

Fernandez is wide eyed and grabs Hart by his tie, laying into him with right hands. Hart drops to his knees with Fernandez continuing to pound away but Kimala is up and he approaches from behind, apparently biting Fernandez in the shoulder. The Bull drops Hart and spins around but Kimala hits the big chop across his head and Fernandez is down and stunned. Hart collects himself and his man and they both escape down the aisle.

Dusty Rhodes vs Ron Bass w/James J. Dillon

These two veterans pull out all the stops for the crowd’s delight. Dusty controls the early part but Dillon’s distractions on the outside help open the door for Bass. Bass uses some dirty tricks to keep the advantage but Dusty makes a comeback, with an eye poke of his own, and puts Bass down with a Bionic Elbow for the win.

Winner by Pinfall: Dusty Rhodes

Dusty does a little dance in the ring to the crowd’s delight as Dillon and Bass regroup on the outside. Bass still looks like he has cobwebs to clear and Dillon is very upset.

Sam Houston vs Dutch Mantell with James J. Dillon

These two trade the offense back and forth. Mantell uses all his veteran tricks to keep his thumb on the youngster but Houston fights back, stunning Mantell with a series of right hands, then wearing him out with some arm drags. Mantell is swaying and that's when Houston hits the running bulldog for the win.

Winner by Pinfall: Sam Houston

Houston is all smiles, excited about his win, until Black Bart attacks him from the blindside. Soon Mantell joins in and they’re both stomping a mudhole in the young Texan. Dillon on the outside directs traffic but then the crowd pops as United States Champion Magnum T.A. runs down the aisle with a chair and clears the ring.

He stands over the fallen Houston and the heels don’t dare challenge him.

Ric Flair and Ricky Steamboat vs Buddy Landel and Tully Blanchard w/Bobby Heenan

The heels are in firm control through the early going but the crowd comes alive when Flair gets the tag but the referee says he didn’t see it and Steamboat suffers another couple minutes of torment but then he makes a real tag and the world champion hits the ring. Landel who had been the legal man quickly tags out and even dumps to the floor. Blanchard isn't too happy and he has reason to be as Flair lights him up with chops before bringing him to his corner and letting Steamboat have another go. Ricky enjoys punishing Blanchard and Heenan has seen enough. He orders his man to exit the ring and they take the ten count, dismissively waving at Steamboat on their way out.

Winners by Count Out: Ric Flair and Ricky Steamboat

Flair and Steamboat hold the ring and share a handshake as the fans are on their feet cheering their victory. Blanchard is on the outside pointing his finger at Steamboat who is mimicking the belt around his waist while Landel just sneers at Flair who gives the crowd a big Wooooo!

After the match Dillon instructs all three of his men to make an example of their opponents. Petit and Brown are made to suffer for a few minutes longer as Bass, Bart, and Mantell rampage around the ring to Dillon’s delight. Dillon himself urges them to see the two men as Dusty Rhodes which just seems to fuel them more before they all leave the ring.

The very young challenger shows flashes of potential but Magnum is on a quest to keep his title and he ends the match with a belly to belly suplex out of nowhere.

Gino Hernandez vs Dean Malenko

A good back and forth match with Malenko using a very technical attack and Hernandez using a more general game plan. Hernandez appears to be in trouble but when he’s whipped into the ropes he jumps onto the second top and rebounds off with a backwards elbow which knocks Malenko senseless.

We’re back to the director’s chair and Gorgeous Jimmy Garvin. He says that he’s been watching all the great action the last few weeks but something is missing. Him! So very very soon you’re going to see the Gorgeous One in that ring but he won’t be alone. He motions to off camera and a beautiful young girl comes into frame.

He introduces her as Missy and says they’ll see everyone real soon.

Nikita Koloff w/Ivan Koloff and Krusher Khruschev vs Ted Oates

Another squash which lasts mere minutes as Nikita hits a few press slams before nailing the Russian Sickle making quick work of Oates.

All three Russians jump Oates after the match before they all stand over him with a boot on his chest as Ivan waves the Soviet flag as the show goes off the air.

Tony Schiavone and David Crockett welcome us to the show. Tony says how happy he is to see David back and they shake hands. They turn to hyping this week’s show and say we’ll see Gino Hernandez, the NWA Tag Team Champions Ole and Arn Anderson, Sam Houston, and Rick Rude in action. In addition NWA Television Champion Tully Blanchard will be here but now we go to the ring.

Gino Hernandez vs Jimmy Golden

The match goes back and forth but Hernandez builds momentum and then takes the match over with pure athleticism. With Golden unsteady on his feet, Hernandez runs to the ropes and jumps onto the second one, slingshotting himself backwards with an elbow strike for the pinfall.

The Andersons join David Crockett. Ole says that sometimes the world needs reminded of even the most blatant truths and the biggest truth around here is that the Andersons do what they want, when they want. So they want everyone to pay real close attention and remember if they can do it to these two guys, they can do it to anyone!

The Andersons rush from the interview area and into the ring, swarming the Mulkeys and beating them down before the bell can even ring. When it does they make quick work of Randy Mulkey with Arn planting him with a spinebuster. They knock Bill Mulkey off the apron and then Ole comes off the top with a knee in the back for the win.

Sam Houston vs Bob Roop

Roop controls the early going with some veteran savvy but Houston makes his comeback feeding off the audience. A series of dropkicks put Roop swaying on his feet and Houston hits the running bulldog for the win.

Tully Blanchard and the Executive Director of Tully Blanchard Enterprises Bobby Heenan, join Tony Schiavone. Blanchard says that he’s growing annoyed at Ricky Steamboat who can’t seem to take a hint. He’s like the homeless trash who press their noses to the windows at the five star restaurants he and Bobby dine at. Well here is a cold truth...Ricky Steamboat will never get another shot at this title because Tully is the greatest Television Champion of all time and he calls the shots!

Rick Rude vs Mark Fleming

Rude dominates the match from start to finish, ending it with a very hip gyrating and provocative Rude Awakening.

Tony Schiavone welcomes the NWA World Champion Ric Flair out to the desk. Flair says that he just got back from playing 18 holes with Jack Nicklaus and he doesn’t wanna say who won but the Golden Bear owes him a steak, that’s all he’s gonna say about that.

Before he can say more, Buddy Landel in a knock off Flair robe walks out. Landel says that Flair is stealing his spotlight and that the world title should be around his waist. Flair doesn’t seem to take this too seriously until Landel slaps him. Flair gathers himself but when he looks back to Landel, Buddy sprays him in the eyes with some substance. Flair is in immediate pain, clutching at his eyes and Landel wastes no time in attacking the champ. He slams Flair’s head off the desk and kneels down, raining down right hands on Flair. Landel picks up the title belt and as Flair pulls himself up with the aid of the desk, he slams the belt into Flair’s temple. As some referees come onto the scene, Landel leaves...with the belt as we hear Flair in pain.

Bob Caudle and Buddy Colt welcome us to NWA World Wide Wrestling. They tell us we’ll be seeing action from all across the NWA along with special guest the American Dream Dusty Rhodes. Caudle reminds us that we’ll see the likes of Larry Zbyszko, Dick Slater, and Ricky Steamboat.

Larry Zbyszko vs George South

Zbyszko is just nasty in this one, using many martial arts strikes to knock South down and keeping him down. Larry bad mouths him through the match before ending it with a shoulder breaker.

Dusty Rhodes joins Bob Caudle. He spends a few minutes talking about his ongoing issues with James J. Dillon and his men. Dusty says that no matter what Dillon does he will always respond and when it’s all said and done, the Dream will rise again!

The Irwins vs Tom Stone and Timothy Flowers

The Irwins dominate this from start to finish and it only lasts a few minutes. The end comes when powerhouse Scott lifts his brother in a military press and drops him across Flowers for the win.

Dick Slater vs Randy Rose

An even match throughout, Rose pushes Slater on several close falls but Slater fights back and when Rose mistakenly misses a clothesline, Slater takes over to the crowd’s delight and ends the match with a swinging neckbreaker.

Buddy Colt welcomes the Rock and Roll Express to the set. Ricky Morton says that they’re both medically cleared after what the Andersons did to them. Robert Gibson says the Andersons tried to end their careers but it didn’t work. They’re still here and they’re still coming for those NWA Tag Team titles. Robert says Ole and Arn can’t run forever and soon their luck will run out!

Ricky Steamboat vs Jesse Barr

Steamboat and Barr show really good chemistry in this one that sees Barr control the early going, before Steamboat makes his comeback and ends it with a cross body block from the top rope.

Caudle and Colt are about to end the show when Gary Hart and Kimala charge onto the set. Kimala terrifies the hosts while Hart grabs a microphone. He says Jim Crockett Promotions isn’t big enough for Kimala and Manny Fernandez and soon Fernandez will never be heard from again!

Tommy Rich vs Michael Hayes

We begin the show with the first competitors already in the ring. A good matchup between these two. Rich, the former world champion shows why he’s still a contender for that title and Hayes loves playing to the crowd. It costs him though when Rich ducks a clothesline coming off an Irish Whip, then hits the Thesz Press on the backend for the win.

A massacre from JCP’s Red Menace™. Deaton is beaten down, rag dolled, and decimated from the opening seconds of the match. When he has Ivan’s blessing, Koloff ends it with the Russian Sickle.

The Irwins vs Owen Hart and Paul Diamond

Going into this you would think this would be a walk in the park but the team of Hart and Diamond put something together in the early going with quick tags and Hart’s brand of high flying. Then Scott Irwin gets the tag and squashes them both. It ends with the military press-drop of Bill onto Diamond for the win.

James J. Dillon is with David Crockett. Dillon says that every time Dusty Rhodes mentions his name he gets a call from his personal attorneys wanting to sue for defamation but he always tells them no because someday Rhodes will get what he has coming to him. Crockett presses Dillon on what he means but Dillon merely puts his finger to his lips and walks off.

Buddy Landel vs Chavo Guererro

Landel mimics and mocks Flair throughout the match from the gaudy robe he wears to the ring with the NWA World Championship around his waist, to giving the crowd a few Wooos! Guerrero fights hard and doesn’t surrender an inch but once Landel begins targeting the leg its elementary and Chavo taps to the figure four.

Referee David Manning is trying to get Landel to break the figure four leglock but he refuses until he sees Ric Flair in dress clothes running towards the ring.

Landel abandons his hold and rolls out of the ring just before Flair can snatch him by the hair. Manning and several others hit the scene to hold Flair back but Landel doesn’t wait and he makes his escape with the NWA World Championship in hand.

Suddenly the NWA World Champion enters the scene and he already looks pissed off. He is pacing as he puts his thoughts together. He says that he’s missing the most prized championship belt in the world because it was stolen by a wannabe fraud. You want to steal his nickname, that's one thing. You want to come out in a horrible cheap looking robe, fine. But that NWA World Championship belongs to him! But Ric Flair is going to give Buddy Landel a chance to earn it at the Baltimore Brawl. You wanna be the man? Then look me in the eyes and try to beat the man.

Dick Slater vs Bob Roop

A back and forth match that sees both men get their offense in but Slater digs deep and finally ends it with a swinging neckbreaker.

David Crockett hypes the big event this sunday night in Chattanooga, TN.

The Fantastics vs Gerry Morrow and Dennis Stamp

The Fantastics are impressive in their debut with fluid tags and double teams. Looking like a chippendale version of the RnR but it works for them and when they have Stamp on his back, Fulton picks up his partner as if he was going to suplex him but then drops him forward onto Stamp which Schiavone calls the Rocket Launcher. It gets the three count.

Steve Williams vs Terry Daniels

Dr. Death just mauls Daniels from start to finish showing off both his terrifying power and his ameteur wrestling skills. When he’s done playing with his prey, he grabs Daniels and delivers a Ura Nage side slam for the win.

A video of Gary Hart and Kimala is shown. Kimala is in the background with a large fire and a cauldron-looking pot. As Hart talks Kimala takes hunks of meat off wooden spikes and puts them in the pot before stirring it and wailing.

Hart, in the foreground, asks Manny Fernandez if he can smell it yet? Can he smell the fear? Can he smell the doom, the shadow on the horizon which is coming for him? That is Kimala, the Ugandan Giant. It is the end of the road for Manny Fernandez. Last stop…..Baltimore.

Tuly Blanchard © w/Bobby Heenan vs George South

The championship is never in jeopardy as Blanchard dominates in his title defense and Heenan even gets in a cheap shot behind the referee’s back. Blanchard mocks Ricky Steamboat by hitting a cross body block off the second rope but pulls South up at the two count in order to hit his own slingshot suplex for the win.

Heenan and Blanchard are all smiles as they come over to the interview area but the smile fades when they’re confronted by Ricky Steamboat.

Steamboat says Blanchard has been ducking him and he demands that Blanchard act like a man and a champion. Heenan says that Steamboat doesn’t get to demand anything but Blanchard takes a step forward and tells Steamboat to say what he wants. Steamboat says he wants one more shot at that title but he doesn’t want Blanchard to have any excuses or any avenues to run like a coward. No count outs. No Disqualifications. No escape. He wants Tully Blanchard in a steel cage! Blanchard momentarily looks like he regrets the situation but feels like he’s trapped. After a few moments Blanchard gives a subtle nod and says ‘fine.’ As the champ walks off Heenan is in tow losing his mind and the show ends with Steamboat’s wide smile.

Bob Caudle and Buddy Colt welcome us to the show and they’re joined by James J. Dillon. Dillon says that he is dismayed and disgusted by what happened to Dusty Rhodes and he hopes the people who did it are found and brought to justice. That said, he also mentions that Rhodes is still a coward but if he wants to lose that reputation he can find himself a partner and meet two of his men at Baltimore Brawl. But really, who would want to team with a coward?

Scott Hall vs Tim Horner

Hall uses his power to punish Horner throughout the match and even when Horner tries to make a comeback Hall snuffs it out with a big kneelift. Hall ends the match with his running powerslam.

We see a video with Jimmy Garvin and Missy. No matter how she fluffs his hair he’s just not happy. He says he can’t debut tonight looking like this. All his fans will have to wait because he can’t be anything less...than Gorgeous.

Tommy Rich vs Randy Rose

Rich sells for the beginning minutes but makes a comeback with the aid of the fans. Rose is on his feet as Rich turns up the tempo and when he has his opponent barely on his feet Rich bounds off the ropes, criss crosses Rose and hits the Thesz Press for the win.

Gino Hernandez vs Mark Lewin

Lewin uses his veteran experience and power to keep Hernandez down and the younger man is showing frustration at not being able to get things moving. Finally they stand face to face and exchange right hands but Hernandez ducks and hits an inverted atomic drop. Finally with Lewin dazed, Hernandez hits a pin point standing dropkick and gets a two count on the pin attempt. From there it’s all Gino and he shows off what he can do in the ring before he uses a leg drop bulldog (which would go on to be known a decade later as a fameasser). Caudle calls it The Deposit and it gets the three count.

A replay of the finish in slow motion before going to commercial.

The Guererros put up a good fight in this one and show a lot of pride and good teamwork but the Andersons are champs for a reason and they take the match over, eventually winning it when Arn hits a spinebuster on Mando.

Caudle and Colt are about to thank us for watching when Nature Boy Buddy Landel walks onto the set standing between them and the camera. He slowly spins with his arms out showing off a hideous looking lime green robe with the NWA World Championship belt around his waist. He says that Ric Flair isn’t in a position to demand or grant anything to Landel but he will see him in Baltimore and he will walk out as both the NWA Champion and the MAN! From over his shoulder Caudle tells us they’ll be back next week.

“Ladies and Gentlemen! Welcome to the UTC Arena! Tonight you’re in store for an awesome night of professional wrestling. We’ll see Kimala versus Tommy Rich. In addition we’ll have Magnum T.A. defending the NWA United States Championship against Cowboy Ron Bass. And of course our main event, Nature Boy Ric Flair versus the NWA Television Champion Tully Blanchard in a non title Champion versus Champion match. Sit back and relax because tonight Jim Crockett Promotions and the National Wrestling Alliance are in the house!”

Scott Hall vs Dick Slater

Hall is supremely confident going into this but Slater comes out guns blazing and puts the younger man on his heels. Slater controls the early going wearing Hall out like he hasn’t been in recent weeks but when Slater charges into the corner he gets a boot in the face. From there Hall uses his talents to batter Slater for several minutes before he scoops him up and hits the running powerslam for the win.

Winner by Pinfall: Scott Hall

After the match Slater is being helped to his feet by the referee when Hall rushes over and throws him over the top to the floor. As the boos rain down Hall soaks them in with a smirk.

Terry Taylor w/Robin Green vs Larry Zbyszko

Zybysko surprise attacks Taylor before the bell rings and begins softening him up with some martial arts attacks. Everything is going Zybysko’s way as he sets Taylor up for a knee lift but Taylor sidesteps and then begins lighting up the veteran with non stop offense. Zybysko ditches to the outside but it doesn’t save him from Taylor who is hot on his heels. Zybysko regains the offense for a moment when they roll back in but Tayor blocks a standing side kick and rolls up Larry for a flash pinfall.

After the match Taylor holds the ropes open for Robin Green to enter. She raises his hand and they approach all four sides of the ring with big smiles after the victory,

Nikita Koloff and Krusher Khruschev w/Ivan Koloff vs The Guererros

The Russians make quick work of the Guererros using their power and Ivan’s presence on the outside. Mando doesn’t see a blind tag and when he thinks he’s escaped Khruschev he’s flattened by a Russian Sickle by Nikita.

Winners by Pinfall: Nikita Koloff and Krusher Khruschev

All three Russians enter the ring and after laying out the Guererros again they stand at attention while Ivan waves the Soviet flag.

Magnum T.A. :copyright: vs Ron Bass w/James J. Dillon

Off the bat Dillon disracts Magnum and allows Bass to blindside him. Bass grinds him down over several minutes almost getting a three count via a piledriver but Magnum kicks out at two. Magnum begins to build a comeback and fights back, soon putting Bass on his heels. Dillon gets on the apron and he gets a right hand in the mouth for his troubles. Bass charges the champion but Magnum dodges and when Bass rebounds off the ropes, Magnum grabs him and delivers the belly to belly for the win.

Magnum is handed his belt and raises it in the air to the crowd’s delight.

Kimala w/Gary Hart vs Tommy Rich

Rich is momentarily distracted by Hart and that’s all Kimala needs as he splashes Rich in the corner from behind. From there the monster kicks, stomps, and chops Rich, wearing him out. Rich tries to make a comeback but it ends when he runs into Kimala’s foot when he charges the corner. Kimala delivers a thudding bodyslam followed by a splash as he bounds off the ropes for the win.

Hart begins shouting more commands telling his man to continue the punishment and make an example of Rich but Manny Fernandez comes running down the aisle with a chair. He slides in and hits Kimala across the back several times until the big man falls out of the ring. Fernandez dares Hart to send his man back in but Hart has seen enough though he vows revenge.

Dusty Rhodes, Gino Hernandez, and Sam Houston vs Rick Rude and the Andersons

As the match unfolds all six men find their way into the ring and get some offense in but it’s Houston who gets caught in enemy territory and triple teamed. Every time he gets close to making the tag he’s pulled back in for more punishment. Finally he breaks free delivering elbows to both Andersons, knocking them off the apron and scurries between Rude’s legs to make a diving tag to Hernandez who lights up Rude with a flurry of offense. When the Andersons get involved it turns into a six man brawl. As the chaos settles Rude goes for the Rude Awakening but Rhodes delivers a Bionic Elbow. Stunned, Rude is kicked in the gut by Hernandez who then delivers The Deposit for the win.

Rhodes, Hernandez, and Houston celebrate in the ring with high-fives as they are announced as the winners. The Andersons don’t look pleased headed to the back sans Rude.

Non-Titles Match

Ric Flair vs Tully Blanchard w/Bobby Heenan

These two square off move for move and early on the crowd is on their feet. Flair lights up Blanchard with chops and Tully has to ditch to the outside but Flair follows. Unfortunate for Ric when he gets close Tully slings him into the ringpost busting him open. They return to the ring where Blanchard targets the wound and soon Flair’s hair has gone from blonde to pink. Heenan is shouting encouragement but Flair keeps fighting and begins his comeback with more chops. Flair runs to the ropes but Heenan swipes at him and distracts him. Blanchard hits a running knee in the back and goes for the pin but gets a two. Heenan, who has Blanchard’s NWA Television Championship with him gets on the apron to distract the referee after he puts the belt on the apron. Tully picks it up and is waiting for Flair to stand when Ricky Steamboat runs down.

Steamboat climbs in the ring, snatching the belt from Blanchard before clocking him with it. Steamboat dumps to the outside and Flair crawls over and makes a loose cover. The referee finally turns and makes the three count.

Winner by Pinfall: Ric Flair

Blanchard is furious, pointing his finger at Steamboat who is backing up the aisle with a wide smile. Meanwhile Flair gets his hand raised and the crowd cheers.

The Fantastics vs Reckless Youth

The young Michaels and Jannetty who are introduced as Reckless Youth do a good job of matching the Fantastics quick tag for quick tag and appear to be mirror images but the veteran team shows their experience and when Michaels accidentally hits Jannetty with an errant dropkick it’s all the Fantastics need. One Rocket Launcher later and it’s all over.

Terry Taylor and his manager...friend...girlfriend?...Robin Green come out to the interview area before his match. Taylor says that he’s never felt better in his career and with this lady by his side the sky is the limit!

Terry Taylor w/Robin Green vs Jesse Barr

A surprisingly competitive match in which the two show good chemistry. Barr seemingly has it in the bag until he goes to the top. Taylor was playing possum and crotches him before climbing up and hitting the superplex for the win.

Larry Zybyszko vs Terry Daniels
Your basic squash match. Zybyszko controls from pillar to post and ends it with a savate kick which knocks Daniels out cold.

Schiavone and Crockett hype next week’s big event on TBS. The Battle of the Nature Boys for the NWA World Championship between the real champion Ric Flair and Buddy Landel. We’ll see the Andersons defend against the Rock and Roll Express. And in a steel cage Tully Blanchard defends against Ricky Steamboat. All that and more next Thursday night!

Dusty Rhodes vs Dutch Mantell w/James J. Dillon

It’s all Dusty in the early going and he’s enjoying his time in the spotlight for a rare television match. Mantell barely avoids a Bionic Elbow and retreats to the outside. Dusty invites him back in but doesn’t see Bass and Bart enter the ring from behind and they tackle Rhodes causing a disqualification.

Winner by Disqualification: Dusty Rhodes

It’s three on one as they kick and stomp the American Dream. Dillon is running his mouth non stop asking if Dusty still wants them in Baltimore next week. Rhodes keeps trying to fight but he’s overwhelmed. FInally Mantell and Bart hold him down as Bass pulls out a pair of spurs and goes in for the kill putting them against Dusty’s forehead. The television audience doesn’t see the violence as the screen goes back with only audio of the audience gasping at what Bass has done. The last thing we hear is Crockett yelling for help as the show goes off the air.

Bob Caudle and Buddy Colt welcome us to the show. They hype that this week we’ll see Chris Adams and Dr. Death Steve Williams in individual singles action. We’ll also see Magnum T.A. defend his NWA United States Championship. In addition, NWA Television Champion Tully Blanchard will be here to talk about his big title defense this Thursday at the Baltimore Brawl.

Steve Williams vs Joe Savoldi

Savoldi gets beat in this match like he owed Dr. Death money. Williams ragdolls him from beginning to end doing anything and everything he wants. After showing off his immense power advantage, Williams ends the match with the Ura Nage.

We see a video with Buddy Landel. He’s in a cheap looking suit and tie with the NWA World Championship belt. He’s admiring his reflection in the belt as the video begins. He says that beauty is in the eye of the beholder and right now he is the beholder of the World Championship. He says Flair won’t even show up in Baltimore because we all know what will happen. Landel says he’s going to walk in with the belt and he’ll walk out wth it. But Flair won’t be walking anywhere. Because in Baltmore, Buddy Landel will break Ric Flair’s leg in his patented Figure Four. And there’s only one thing left to say…..wooo!

Chris Adams vs Paul Diamond

Diamond puts up a bigger fight than Savoldi did in the last match but Adams is clearly in control without a doubt. Diamond’s effort and grit isn’t bigger than a superkick which catches him right in the mouth.

The Guererros vs The Malenkos

Great tag action. Action is traded back and forth with both teams hitting double team maneuvers. The Guererros are more high flying and the Malenkos are technical but it is very enjoyable. Joe Malenko seems to think it’s his to lose but he doesn’t see Mando make a blind tag and by the time he realizes it he’s on the wrong end of a Gory Bomb for the three count.

Blanchard and Heenan join the hosts and Heenan just can’t wait to lambast Ricky Steamboat but a serious looking Blanchard puts a hand up. He takes off his glasses and looks into the camera. He says he wants to talk right to Steamboat. He wants him to know that everything that happens Thursday in Baltimore is his fault. He asked for the match. He asked for the cage. He asked to put Blanchard’s back against the wall. Well they say that’s when an animal is most dangerous. Heenan is watching his man in silence, seemingly taken aback. Blanchard may wear expensive clothes and drive sports cars and have models on each arm but in that ring he is the best in the world and he will do anything he has to do to protect that title. If it means ending Steamboats career so be it. If it means ending his quality of life, so be it. Remember Ricky, you asked for this. He gets up and walks off the set with Heenan in tow.

Magnum T.A.© vs Al Perez

Perez puts up a great fight with the champ and pushes him throughout the match. For a moment it appears Magnum might be in trouble but when Perez whips Magnum and goes for a dropkick the champion hangs onto the ropes and Perez eats the mat. Perez hops up and turns to his opponent but he walks right into the belly to belly suplex.

Caudle and Colt are thanking us for watching when Randy Savage wearing huge sunglasses walks onto the set and stands behind them with a hand on each one of their shoulders which makes them look very uncomfortable.. He says he’s training every day, and he’s got a million calls out to the doctors demanding that he be allowed back in that ring. It’s his destiny to rule the world of professional wrestling, yea….dig it!

Tony Schiavone, David Crockett, and Bob Caudle welcome us to the Baltimore Brawl. They hype the card for the night and then they kick us to the ring.

James J.Dillon, Ron Bass, and Dutch Mantell are already in the ring. Dusty Rhodes is introduced, his head still bandaged from where he was attacked last week. Dillon gets on the microphone and says he knew Rhodes was stupid but he didn’t think he was suicidal. Taking on his men by himself means the end of his career.

Dusty preens in the aisle, wagging his finger at Dillon when the crowd erupts and his undisclosed tag team partner walks out behind him.

Rhodes and Magnum give a quick hug and head to the ring. Dillon by all measures is not pleased with this development as the bell rings.

<b>DUSTY RHODES AND MAGNUM T.A. VS RON BASS AND DUTCH MANTELL W/JAMES J. DILLON</b><span style="font-weight:normal;">

Rhodes is isolated early but he fights back and makes an early tag to Magnum who hits the ring on fire and cleans house. Magnum makes a rare trip to the top rope but with the referee still dealing with Bass and Rhodes he doesn’t see Dillon climb on the apron and shove Magnum down to the floor below. Mantell goes and collects the US Champion and Magnum spends the next several minutes on the loser end of a beatdown. Rhodes is begging the crowd to lend their energy and it works as Magnum makes a short comeback and tags Dusty back in. Now it’s all Dream and he’s dealing out Bionic Elbows to everyone including Dillon. With Bass staggered Dusty scoops him up with a bodyslam then bounds off the ropes and drops a big elbow for the win.

WINNERS BY PINFALL: DUSTY RHODES AND MAGNUM T.A.

Rhodes and Magnum share a hug and celebrate their victory. On the outside, Dillon collects his men and sulks to the back as the heroes hold the ring.

LOSER LEAVES MATCH

The stipulation of the match is clear. Whoever loses must leave and both men fight for their lives and careers. Kimala controls the early part but Fernandez digs deep and fights back. Hart on the outside is constantly giving his man instructions but when he climbs onto the apron Fernandez snatches him up and then dodges Kimala who runs smack into his manager knocking him to the floor. The referee focuses on Hart and doesn’t see a man with a painted face climb from under the ring and enter.

When Fernandez turns around the mystery man spits a red mist in his face. Fernandez is blinded and swings wildly. Kimala has recovered and he chops Fernandez over the top of his head then hits a running splash for the win.

WINNER BY PINFALL: KIMALA

Hart collects his men and they head back up the aisle with Hart loudly proclaiming that he told us so!

STEEL CAGE MATCH

It’s clear as the door is locked on the steel cage that both men detest one another. What follows next is nearly twenty minutes of back and forth action. Blanchard holds the early advantage and gets a near fall on a small package but Steamboat regroups and goes on the offense. Steamboat whittles Blanchard down with martial arts kicks and chops, in one case hitting Blanchard legit in the jaw which he sells for a long moment. Steamboat climbs to the top rope and flies off with a cross body block but Blanchard pulls Earl Hebner in front and the referee gets wiped out. Blanchard looks to Heenan who pulls a pipe out of his jacket but before he can put it through the cage to his man the crowd erupts.

Dusty Rhodes runs down and snatches the pipe out of Heenan’s hand. Blanchard is irate and is screaming at Rhodes. The distraction allows Steamboat to recover and he climbs again, this time to the top of the cage. Blanchard turns around and this time Steamboat’s aim is true. Hebner wakes up in time to slap the mat three times as Heenan looks ready to cry.

WINNER BY PINFALL AND NEW NWA TELEVISION CHAMPION: RICKY STEAMBOAT

As Steamboat is announced as the winner a flood of babyfaces enter the cage and begin celebrating with him. Steamboat holds the title belt high in the air as the crowd cheers.

The challengers start the match off hot with quick seamless tags and have Arn in a really bad way. Ole hits Morton with a knee in the back when he bounds off the ropes unseen by the referee and Arn is able to tag out. From there Ole really shows his sadistic side in just torturing Morton. Gibson tries to appeal to the crowd for help and they’re all cheering for Morton to fight back which he does. Morton makes the hot tag and now Gibson is on fire. Caudle reminds us of what the Andersons did to him a month ago. The challengers are feeling it and Morton cross body blocks Arn over the top rope. They both tumble to the ground drawing the referee’s attention. Gibson is sizing up Ole when Jim Cornette comes down to ringside and catches Gibson’s eye.

Cornette climbs onto the apron badmouthing Gibson who grabs Cornette by his lapels but his tennis racket falls into the ring. Ole picks it up and whacks Gibson in the back of his head like Babe Ruth. Cornette is dropped and collects his racket when Ole tosses it out. Ole makes the cover and Morton dives back in to stop it but he’s just a foot short as the ref counts to three.

THE ANDERSONS

With Landel in the ring the arena goes dark. Camera flashbulbs are popping as a familiar tune begins to play.

A lone spotlight highlights the World Champion in all his glory at the end of the aisle in a beautiful red robe. He makes his way down the aisle with a little strut at the end but when he walks up the steps and enters the ring any semblance of a smile or smirk is gone. He stares daggers across the ring at Landel.

Flair controls the match early but Landel gains the momentum via a poke to the eye. He chops Flair repeatedly in the corner and even gives the crowd a wooo!...but all he does is fire the champion up. Flair reverses their corner positions and lays into Landel with chops that almost echo in the arena. Landel goes to the outside but Flair follows and keeps up his attack. He berates Landel as he strikes him, asking him if he wants to be the Nature Boy, if he wants to be the Man. Landel can barely stay on his feet as he rolls into the ring. When Flair follows, Landel clubs him over the head and begins to go to work on Flair’s leg. He puts the champ in the figure four and Flair screams in pain. He reaches for the ropes but he can’t get to them so he does the only other thing he can do and works some momentum to rock his hips and eventually flips them over reversing the hold. Now Landel is screaming and gets to the ropes forcing a break. The match continues to go back and forth but when Landel goes to the top Flair is there to meet him and gives him a military press toss. Landel lands with a thud and now it's Flair’s turn to put on the figure four. Landel is in the middle of the ring and immediately submits.

WINNER BY SUBMISSION AND STILL NWA WORLD CHAMPION: RIC FLAIR

Backstage the babyfaces are beginning to exit Ricky Steamboat’s locker room after what looks like a hell of a celebration. There’s empty champagne bottles all over the place and Steamboat sits down with his back to the camera to begin unlacing his boots. A figure in a hooded sweatshirt steps into frame and picks up one of the empty bottles. Steamboat, none the wiser, continues what he’s doing when he’s suddenly hit over the head with the bottle which doesn’t shatter but resonates with a loud noise. Steamboat goes down in a heap as the person looks at the bottle before tossing it to the side and turns with a wide smile. He’s the last thing we see as the show goes to black.

Tony Schiavone and David Crockett welcome us to the show but they’re quickly joined by the new NWA Television Champion Ricky Steamboat. They congratulate him and he graciously accepts their kind words. Steamboat says he wouldn’t be standing here without one man and he brings out Dusty Rhodes.

He thanks Rhodes for having his back and Dusty says that the fact Tully Blanchard got what’s coming to him is thanks enough. Dusty raises Ricky’s arm and the crowd cheers.

<b>RICK RUDE VS GEORGE SOUTH</b><span style="font-weight:normal;">

Rude seems to be in a foul mood and he takes it out on South who spends several minutes as his punching bag. Rude does his usual hip sway and blows a kiss as he drops South with the Rude Awakening.

WINNER BY PINFALL: RICK RUDE

Tony Schiavone welcomes the NWA World Champion Ric Flair to the show. Flair gives a big Wooooo! and the crowd eats it up. He says the one true Nature Boy is back and the title belt is back. The alligator shoes, the Rolex watch, the thousand dollar suit, the total package is back and now he's ready to celebrate so ladies the Nature Boy is staying at the Marriott and when you get there ask them what floor Space Mountain is staying on and you can ride all night long. Wooooo!

<b>TOMMY RICH VS JIMMY GOLDEN </b>

Rich controls the action throughout and after showing off his athleticism and getting the crowd into the palm of his hand he finishes it with the Thesz Press for the 123.

WINNER BY PINFALL: TOMMY RICH

<b>ROCK AND ROLL EXPRESS VS THE IRWINS</b>

Good tag team action. The Irwins control the early going but the RnR make the hot tag and begin cleaning house, hitting the double dropkick on Scott Irwin and both Ricky and Robert make the cover to hold him down.

WINNERS BY PINFALL: THE ROCK AND ROLL EXPRESS

Jim Cornette is at the desk and launches into a tirade about the Rock and Roll Express calling them every name in the book. Finally Ricky and Robert have had enough and leave the ring to confront him. He stands his ground, initially, saying they’re a poor excuse for a tag team and he could pick any two guys out of the audience to be a better one. Gibson says he’d like to see that when suddenly RnR are attacked by two men in casual attire who came out of the audience.

The two men beat down RnR until officials and referees come out to force them away. As the victims are attended to Cornette boasts that it looks like he was correct. He introduces us to Loverboy Dennis and Beautiful Bobby--the Midnight Express and tells us that we’ll be hearing from them real soon.

<b>NIKITA KOLOFF W/IVAN KOLOFF VS CHAVO GUERERRO</b>

Chavo is the crash test dummy in this one as Nikita looks devastating with his Uncle on the outside barking orders. Nikita’s strength is scary good and he obliterates Chavo with the Russian Sickle.

WINNER BY PINFALL: NIKITA KOLOFF

Schiavone and Crockett are about to thank us for tuning in when an exasperated Bobby Heenan cmes to the set. He looks disheveled in the same clothes he was wearing in Baltimore. He can barely put a sentence together but keeps banging on the desk. Finally he blurts out that ‘Dusty Rhodes is going to pay!’ as the hosts sign off the show.

Bob Caudle and Buddy Colt welcome us to the show. They note we’ll see such names as Kimala, Sam Houston and Scott Hall in action. Not to mention a NWA World Tag Team Championship match. They send us to our first match of the night.

<b>KIMALA W/GARY HART AND ??? VS TIM HORNER</b><span style="font-weight:normal;">

Kimala never gives Horner a chance to do anything as he overwhelms his opponent. Horner sells and bumps like a champ and after a few minutes of taking a beating, he’s on the bad side of a running splash by Kimala to end the match.

WINNER BY PINFALL: KIMALA

Caudle and Colt welcome the men we just saw in action. They are joined by Gary Hart, Kimala, and the mystery man who made his debut during the Baltimore Brawl. As his two men look around wild looks on their faces Hart is all business. He says that just as he found Kimala in deepest darkest Africa, he traveled the world until he found this man, the second member of his Army of Darkness. He had to go to the Far East, to a small village where it was rumored there was a man with nothing but blackness in his heart and soul. A man versed in over a dozen martial arts and the sorcery of eons gone by. This man is the Great Kabuki and together with Kimala they will destroy anyone in their way!

<b>SAM HOUSTON VS BOB SWEETAN </b>

Sweetan bullies Houston through the first half of the match, grinding down the younger man but Houston makes his comeback feeding off the crowd. Sweetan misses a clothesline and Houston makes him pay with a dropkick. From there it’s all Houston and he finishes the veteran off with a running bulldog.

WINNER BY PINFALL: SAM HOUSTON

<b>SCOTT HALL VS MARK FLEMING </b>

Hall dominates the match using his strength and surprising speed. Fleming gets a few moments of offense but Hall shuts it down in a heartbeat before ending the match with the running powerslam.

WINNER BY PINFALL: SCOTT HALL

Hall gets his hand raised but that isn’t good enough for him. He begins stomping Fleming several times before smirking and raising his arms to the crowd as they boo.

The match isn’t in question for one second as the Andersons do what they always do. Pummel and punish their opponents working on specific body parts until they’re just toying with their challengers. Arn delivers a spinebuster to Weingeroff and Ole ends the match with an elbow drop off the second rope.

WINNER BY PINFALL AND STILL NWA WORLD TAG TEAM CHAMPIONS: THE ANDERSONS

Caudle and Colt thank us for watching when they’re interrupted by Larry Zybyszko. He says he’s tired of doing things like Mr. Nice Guy so next week he’s calling out Magnum T.A. to be here in the studio. If the US Champion has any guts he’ll show up and if he doesn’t we have proof of what we already know….he’s afraid of the Living Legend!
