Each other company of the Confederation of the Territories were reporting record profits and record attendances while MAW remained stagnant. It was becoming increasingly apparent that the company couldn’t be the world’s feeder league forever, and it was time for a change in philosophy. Rating: 22 Rip Chord Invitational Quarter-Final Match 15-Minute Time Limit In a poor match, Deuce Deadline defeated Crockett Tubbs in 5:55 by pinfall with a Deadliner. Rating: 28 Rip Chord Invitational Quarter-Final Match 15-Minute Time Limit In an extremely short match, Miller Fforde defeated Copperhead in 4:52 by pinfall with a fast roll up. Rating: 38 Rip Chord Invitational Semi-Final Match A 15-Minute Time Limit In a poor match, Dragón Americano defeated Deuce Deadline in 6:18 by submission. • Americano worked a classic technical mat wrestling style against Deadline’s power game. • Having worked one match already Deadline didn’t have the stamina to keep up with his opponent. • Deadline attempted to cheat, but the referee caught him and that distraction allowed Americano to lock in a submission hold. Rating: 28 Rip Chord Invitational Semi-Final Match B 15-Minute Time Limit In a bout that had a decent reaction from the crowd but sub-par wrestling, The Architect defeated Miller Fforde in 7:04 by submission with a Blueprint after blatantly cheating. • The Architect kept distance and frustrated Fforde with minor cheating. • Use of submission holds wore down Fforde for much of the match. • Fforde’s big comeback was cut off by a low blow after the referee was knocked to the ground. • The Architect and Miller Fforde have bad chemistry as opponents. Rating: 28 Tag Team match 15-minute Time Limit In a bout that didn't have much heat and terrible wrestling, DeMarcus & Gray defeated The Heartbreak Express in 7:19 when Nate DeMarcus defeated Ralph Liotta by pinfall with a Snap Tackle. DeMarcus and Gray show excellent chemistry as a team. Rating: 28 Angle A video plays on the big screen hyping the Rip Chord Invitational Finalists Rating: 41 Singles Match 15-minute Time Limit In a decent match, Nicolas Lopez defeated Cheetah Boy in 11:53 by pinfall with a Lopez Buster. Lopez and Cheetah Boy show excellent chemistry as opponents. Rating: 43 Main Event Rip Chord Invitational Final Match No Time Limit In a poor match, The Architect defeated Dragón Americano in 15:53 by submission with a Blueprint after blatantly cheating. The Architect wins the Rip Chord Invitational Challenge title. • Both competitors followed a similar strategy to in their previous matches. • This match was fought at a slower pace as both men conserved energy. • The Architect pulled the mask of Americano which allowed him to lock in his finishing submission. She cut a promo hyping up The Heartbreak Express, saying that not only are they the sexiest team in the Mid Atlantic, they will soon prove themselves to be the greatest tag team in an age. Bowen improvised well. Rating: 44 Opening Match Tag team match 15-minute Time Limit In a bout that didn't have much heat and terrible wrestling, The Heartbreak Express defeated Keith Vegas and Josh Jacobs in 5:46 when Johnny Needham defeated Josh Jacobs by pinfall with The Score. Rating: 26 Singles Match 15-minute Time Limit In a bout that had decent wrestling but didn't have much heat, Roderick Remus defeated El Mítico Jr in 5:41 by pinfall with a Brainbuster Suplex. •Remus got a decent reaction for his return as he faced down the newcomer to MAW. Rating: 39 Mid Atlantic American Title Match Singles Match 20-minute Time Limit In a bout that didn't have much heat and terrible wrestling, Hal Harvard defeated Miller Fforde in 10:45 by pinfall with a Forward Russian Legsweep following interference from George Wolfe. Hal Harvard makes defence number 4 of his Mid Atlantic American title. •Fforde was granted this title match as he impressed in the Rip Chord Invitational. •George Wolfe was actually cheered for bringing an end to the poor contest. •Hal Harvard and Miller Fforde wrestled an awkward contest as both were off their game. Rating: 27 George Wolfe beat down Fforde after costing him his match. Soaking in a fair amount of boos while throwing around the ever sympathetic Fforde. Rating: 45 Mid Atlantic Tag Team Title Match Tag Team Match 20-miute Time Limit In a bout that had a decent reaction from the crowd but sub-par wrestling, The Dynamite Express defeated DeMarcus & Gray in 11:45 when Syd Collier defeated Nate DeMarcus by submission with a Texas Cloverleaf after blatantly cheating. The Dynamite Express make defence number 11 of their Mid Atlantic Tag Team titles. •DeMarcus & Gray put up a spirited effort but the difference in experience was clear. •DeMarcus’ hot tag spot got over well with the hot tag, he showed a lot of energy. •The Dynamite Express didn’t need to cheat to win, but decided to anyway just to add insult to injury. Rating: 34 Main Event Mid Atlantic Championship Title Singles Match 30-minute Time Limit In a decent match, Greg Gauge defeated The Architect in 12:53 by submission with a Proton Lock. Greg Gauge makes defence number 2 of his Mid Atlantic Championship title. •The Architect tried to go back to his cheating from the tournament, but Gauge out wrestled him at every turn. •The two wrestled a slightly higher tempo match than would usually be expected, due to Gauge’s puroresu experience. Rating: 50 Roderick Remus came out as Gauge was having his hand lifted and stood at the top of the ramp to stare down at Gauge, clearly intending to come for the title he feels he never would have lost in perfect health. Rating: 49 Singles Match 15-minute Time Limit vs In a bout that had a decent reaction from the crowd but sub-par wrestling, Cameron Jones defeated Tyrone Gray in 7:39 by pinfall with a Fisherman's Suplex. Rating: 31 Singles Match 15-minute Time Limit vs In a bout that had a decent reaction from the crowd but sub-par wrestling, Nate DeMarcus defeated Syd Collier in 8:21 by pinfall with a Snap Tackle. • Nate DeMarcus was really off his game. Rating: 33 Singles Match 15-minute Time Limit vs In a poor match, Bradley Blaze defeated Trix Triumph in 5:53 by pinfall with a Dallas Drop. Rating: 27 Bradley Blaze grabbed a microphone and stepped back into the ring “Hal Harvard”, he began “I seen you running around with your lil sidekick, cheating your way out of ever having to defend that title on your shoulder”, he paused for a moment to allow the crowd to show their displeasure for Harvard’s methods. “Well, how about next month you come on down here and I give y’all a little lesson on how we hold a title in Texas”? Rating: 54 Main Event Tag Team Match 20-minute Time Limit & vs & In a decent match, Roderick Remus and The Architect defeated Greg Gauge and Cheetah Boy in 17:08 when Roderick Remus defeated Cheetah Boy by submission with a Remus Clutch. •Remus and Architect worked together as a more cohesive unit as their heel tactics blended together well. •Cheetah Boy was isolated for much of the match, Gauge’s hot tag was interrupted with a poke to the eye stalling even his momentum. •In terms of in-ring work, Greg Gauge was head and shoulders above everyone else. Rating: 49 Remus and Gauge continued to brawl after their match, security pulled the two apart but they continued going for each other until each was escorted to the backstage area. Rating:43 Tag Team Match 20-minute Time Limit & vs [Not on permanent contracts] In a decent match, The Dynamite Express defeated The Ring Generals in 11:37 when Syd Collier defeated Marv Statler by submission with a Texas Cloverleaf after blatantly cheating. Rating:42 Mid Atlantic American Title Match Singles Match 30-minute Time Limit vs w/ In a bout that had a decent reaction from the crowd but sub-par wrestling, Hal Harvard defeated Bradley Blaze in 15:19 by pinfall with a Forward Russian Legsweep after Jonah Pilgrim interfered. Hal Harvard makes defence number 5 of his Mid Atlantic American title. •Blaze seemed to have the match won after ten minutes until Pilgrim distracted the referee. •Hal Harvard distracted the official a few minutes later which allowed Jonah Pilgrim to hit Blaze with a low blow to give Harvard the opening he needed to win the match. Rating:36 Two-out-of-Three Falls Singles Match 30-minute Time Limit vs In a decent match, George Wolfe defeated Miller Fforde in 16:48 by two straight falls, with the final fall happening by pinfall with a Running Powerslam. •In a two-out-of-three falls match to decide who truly was the better man, Wolfe was dominant. •Miller Fforde managed short bursts of offence but never looked likely to pin Wolfe. •Wolfe and Fforde have great chemistry as opponents. Rating:43 The Architect came out to the ring and stood face to face with George Wolfe, he leaned in and appeared to say something to the bigger man but Wolfe simply barged past him and went to the back. Rating:49 Main Event Singles Match 20-minute Time Limit vs In a decent match, Roderick Remus defeated Ace Youngblood in 11:57 by pinfall with a Brainbuster Suplex. Rating:45 Angle Greg Gauge came out and grabbed a microphone from the ringside area, he climbed into the ring to face off with Remus much in the same way The Architect did with George Wolfe not too long before, he raised the microphone to his lips but all he said was "Where It All Begins Again". Gauge then dropped the microphone at Remus’ feet and swaggered off backstage.
