Chicago, Illinois

There was no venue quite like the House of Blues, one of the best musical venues in the entire city of Chicago, and that was saying something. Chicago was pretty famous for being a place where arts and music thrives, and Willy Sorken had spent much of his career coming back there, even owning a tea shop downtown where he would often go to relax or even play a few of his songs. He wasn’t touring with the Watermelons at the moment, but he had recently released a solo acoustic album and was hitting some of his favourite venues to promote it, which meant tonight he was in Chicago.

The show itself went well, no issues with the sound quality or the lights, the crowd was very into it and everything seemed to be quite smooth. Sorken liked doing pretty experimental music, and the particularly artsy crowd in Chicago seemed to especially appreciate his work. Nothing could compare to the rush of performing in front of a large crowd, and he was a true performer. He didn’t care if it was music, acting or any other medium, he fed off of the energy of a crowd and loved pleasing people. After the show Sorken was winding down and moved to his tea shop, ordering a Blue Dragon Oolong tea and walking up to the front of the room where there was a guitar and a microphone sitting there waiting for him. A young man stopped him on the way.

“Yo, you’re Willy Sorken! Dope show tonight man, your music is the shit!” The young man had a colourful mohawk, though he was wearing it down, and was wearing a sport coat overtop of a Crushing Watermelons t-shirt from their last tour. His facial hair was fairly well trimmed, and he presenting a look that surprised Sorken when he realized who this man was. The last time Sorken had seen him he was in Philadelphia being tossed through a pane of glass into a barbed wire board.

“Mikey Malice, hey thanks man. You’re pretty talented yourself. I saw that bump you took in Philly a few months back. It was pretty impressive.” Sorken reached out a hand to shake Malice’s, who returned the gesture before Sorken spoke once more. “You can call me Will, Willy is a stage name. I never got why they call us William’s ‘Bill’ or ‘Billy’ but I’ve always thought it was stupid...Anyway cool to meet you, I need to go play a few songs.”

“Oh hey, when you’re done come find me! I’ve got a business proposition for you.” Sorken raised an eyebrow at this as Malice nodded and took a seat in the much smaller and more intimate crowd. Sorken playing songs here was different from playing anywhere else in the world. This shop was basically his home. He had a tendency to play things nobody had ever heard when he was here, and it was something he truly loved to do. The twenty or so people inside of the building seemed to greatly appreciate the more intimate setting and they were quiet and respectful as he played, a complete change from playing the bigger venues, and Sorken enjoyed every second of it, showing off more of his technical prowess and playing a handful of songs before he put his guitar away, the crowd clapping and cheering. He would bow and thank everyone for coming, plugging his new solo album, and then made his way towards the colourful young man.

“Man, Will, you’re just awesome. It’s insane to go from the House of Blues to here and have you play two completely different shows one after another. Just insane talent and charisma.” Sorken would nod once more as the young man spoke, taking another sip of his tea before setting it down.

“It’s fun to be able to do that. But hey, enough about me. What did you want to talk to me about? You said you had a business proposition.”

“Oh hell yeah man. Check this shit out. I know you’re a big wrestling fan, and I’ve read in the sheets that you might be looking to get involved in a company. I’ve tried to get into New Horror and Leftcoast, but those pricks couldn’t see what I had to give them, but they can go f*** themselves. Philly isn’t the home of the hardcore, and San Fran in Cali is a joke. Everyone knows Chicago is hardcore, and I want to prove it to the world. I want to start an ultraviolent wrestling company right here in Chicago, and I’m hoping you’ll help me out.”

Sorken would sit and listen to the young man as he got excited about what he was talking about. He would go on to explain that they’d make Light tube matches their linchpin and. They’d keep the other stuff too of course, barbed wire, explosions, panes of glass, but their specialty would be a 666 light tube match. “Imagine the blood, the carnage, just the pure spectacle man! People will lose their shit over this man, it’s going to be so dope!”

“But Mikey, what do you need me for? Sounds like you’ve got this all figured out.” Malice would shake his head at Sorken’s comment.

“Nah man, I have ideas, I know what I want to do, but I don’t have the money or the name recognition to do something like this. You’re a famous musician man, and you’ve got the money. You wanted to get involved in the wrestling business, well this is the perfect way!” Sorken would think about it for a minute, weighing his options. Mikey was right, he had wanted to get into the wrestling business, but ultraviolence wasn’t exactly how he had intended to do it. The more he thought of it though, the more it made sense for him to agree...after all, his music was pretty alternative and unique, why shouldn’t his foray into wrestling be.

“Alright Mikey, I’m in. What do you need me to do? Sounds like you want me running the business end of the venture.”

“I want you to do promoting, obviously the financial side, but I want your input on creative and shit too man. I can’t be booking the whole show when I’m also the owner, people would hate me for that. They already think I’m an asshole, but I’m just passionate. You’re the big boss on TV, and as far as the world is concerned, but we split the place fifty-fifty.” Sorken would nod once more, reaching his hand out and gripping Mikey’s.

“Alright kid, you’ve got a deal. I’ll get a hold of some of my contacts and get us on TV and on the web. I’ve got a few friends in the business too who I can get a hold of and see if they can help out. Let’s see what we can do.”

A Blog from WrestleCult.com entitled "Sorken Starts Company"

Willy Sorkan sat down with Adam Green today from WrestleCult to discuss the formation of his new Hardcore Wrestling Company, Chi-Town Urban Combat. He told Green that it would be a company that would favour the Hardcore style of matches, and that they were working on a signature match that would be known as the 666 Light Tube Cage Match, in which the afformentioned 666 light tubes would litter the ring, ropes, and sides of the cage to create an extremly bloody brawl.

Chi-Town Urban Combat, or CTUC, has managed to sign a deal to have a one hour television show broadcast on CTV USA Mid West, which will air on Thursdays at midnight. They have also signed a deal with popular streaming network Independant Wrestling Channel for their larger events, the first of which will be held at the end of January and will be called Genesis of Deathcore. This premiere event will feature matches for three of the companies titles; the Deadly Duo tag team title, the Buckets of Blood midcard title, and the Internet title, which will be the companies top title and will only be defended on the IWC. They will eventually be introducing a Television title as well, and with an emphasis on stables, will introduce the Nation of Violence Trios title.

Apparently they will have Kalvin Kwick and Jerry Mount, better known as the tag team Flo Doctors, working for the company in some capacity. Other well-known names rumoured to be working with the company are John "Sledgehammer" Grady, hardcore veteran Bruiser Boyd, Deathmatch master Cesar Gonzalez, and contrivercial young wrestler Mikey Malice. You can watch the full interview in the video below.

Chi-town is getting a spin-off. Wow. Good to see the mighty Auditor (who in no way is a rip-off of IRS) get a run.

I recently have an odd obsession with CZW and I'm a fan of the little guys, and a lot of the guys who are unsigned, so I figured I'd give them a go. This is my first time playing Rockverse seriously, and my first time writing Hardcore, and honestly non japanese wrestling in general, so it should be fun!

Also I love The Auditor, he's one of the guys who I read and was like yeah, he's gotta be a part of my roster.

Dark Match 1

6ywatIv.jpg VS Ki4Jtci.jpg

Dark Shocker vs Lord Shocker

The first of three dark matches put forth an epic showdown for the ages between the devious Dark Shocker and his heroic foil Lord Shockers, provayers of the Shockerverse. The match was just terrible, as though neither of them had had a match in ages, and with the lack of weapons included in the match the crowd booed it out of the building. They were bloodthirsty, and the two shockers didn't seem to sate that thirst. Maximillian Weller and Jerry Mount did a good job of talking up the encounter, but it didn't make any difference as the match bombed spectacularly right up until the sloppy moment that Lord Shocker took the top rope and hit a terrible looking Shocker Splash to roll up his dark counterpart for the pinfall.

Winners: Lord Shocker

Finish: Shocker Splash for a Pinfall

Tables Match

3OS4hTC.jpg VS HSq3AwL.jpg

John Smith vs Orcus

Smith came to the ring first, reminding the crowd to ensure that they were up to date on their taxes, because if they weren't he would be coming for them. He had a shower of boos and trash thrown at him, which Calvin Kwick had to work to get out of the ring. The Mad Priest Orcus makes his way down next, bringing a crucifix with him. The crowd cheers as the hardcore icon comes to shut the Tax Man up, setting the crucifix up in the corner of the ring that has tables surrounding it. The match itself again isn't overly impressive, but the crowd is much more into it, especially when Orcus picks up Smith and smashes him into the corner with the crucifix, splintering it and taking the broken piece of it as he tried to stab Smith with the shard. Smith shows a technical prowess throughout the match, wrestling the big man and putting him in several holds much to the ire of the fans. Unfortunately for Smith, this was a tables match, and eventually the match would switch back to Orcus's favour when Smith tried to roll him onto a table and Orcus smashed his face into it. He set up a table in the corner and leaned the remains of the crucifix against it before picking up Smith and driving him through the crucifix and the table, creating a satisfying crunch that popped the crowd. He would comment after that this must have been a "taxing" experience for the taxman, the terrible pun causing an audible groan from the crowd.

Winner: Orcus

Finish: Orcus put Smith through a table

Dark Match 3D

Fans Bring Weapons

ytHcbOh.jpg VS NIauIia.jpg

Frankie Petruzzi vs The Shocker!

Petruzzi and The Shocker! both come down to the ring with chairs in hand, the crowd going absolutely wild at this point as it was announced as a fans bring weapons match. The two of them would start off by having a chair duel in the middle of the ring, which would end witrh Petruzzi smashing his chair over The Shocker!'s head, his head breaking through the chair. To Petruzzi's horror, and to the delight of the crowd, Shocker! didn't seemed to be affected by this, and Petruzzi picked up the other chair to smash over Shocker!'s head as well. He would escape from the ring, Shocker! removing the chairs from around his neck as Petruzzi would come at him with a man's prosthetic leg, laying him out with it. Shocker! would eventually get in some offence of his own, wrapping a man's chain around his face and feeding punches into Petruzzi's forehead until his head was busted opened. The bloody brawl would continue until The Shocker! would eventually take a fan sign and a staple gun and staple it to Petruzzi's forehead, making it impossible for him to see before dropping him to the mat with a DDT and putting him in The Shocker, using a barbed wire bat to add leverage and pain as Petruzzi was forced to tap out.

Winner: The Shocker!

Finish: Petruzzi tapped to The Shocker

Tiffany Poe makes her way into the ring, flanked by The Ubersoldaten, who goose step to a chorus of boos from the crowd. Poe takes a microphone and tells the crowd that she sees a lot of faces out there that simply make her sick. She tells them that they are only here and afforded their false freedoms because the true glory that could have been granted to this world was robbed from them, and that the men standing behind her are true heroes and should be treated as such. The extremely vocal crowd ends up throwing trash into the ring as she speaks, and she tells them that the Forth Reich is here, and that The Ubersoldaten will begin their conquest tonight. The four of them perform the salute before she makes her way to ringside as Original Sin make their way to the ring for their match...

Übersoldaten vs Original Sin

This match was completely bizarre. The crowd booed the Übersoldaten throughout the entire thing and at the commentary table, Weller was fairly silent throughout the whole thing as Jerry Mount spoke about how uncomfortable the whole situation was. Weller would eventually stand up and walk to the back, leaving Mount to call the action by himself. The hardcore stipulation meant that there would be no disqualifications, and the match quickly devolved into a brawl. A nice spot came when K-Punk climbed the top rope with a chair and the massive Golem picked hip up and threw him onto the Übersoldaten, wiping them all out with the chair. Knittle and Gruder would respond by hitting Golem with a nasty conchairto putting him up for the majority of the rest of the match. G-Forz would use his considerable strength to his advantage, keeping the Übersoldaten at bay for a time while Golem was out before K-Punk would come to dive on them and the three of them would duck it, having him wipe out his partner instead. Golem would get back up as the Übersoldaten dumped the other two members of The Sins and he would mount a comeback, but he would eventually be caught and cut down to size before Gruder would lock him into The Forth Reich Lock and force him to tap out. Nobody in the crowd was happy with the ending, making their very vocal opinions known as Poe would join her stable and the four of them would salute before making their way to the back. Mount seemed sickened by the ending, and when they left Weller would rejoin the table, clearly not happy about what he had just witnessed.

Winners: Übersoldaten

Finish: Lt Gruder forces Golem to tap to the Forth Reich Lock.

The Bonechillers vs The Cro-Mags

For the first time tonight the Deadly Duo titles were suspended high above the ring as the crowd began to go wild. Mount mentioned that The Bonechillers likely had a bit of an advantage here, as the young flyers would have an easier time scaling those ladders than the Cro-Mags would. The crowd seemed to love Skullsy as he skated down to the ring, being berated by his future self for his laid back attitude. Meanwhile the Cro-Mags exuded intensity, rushing to the ring and lighting up the Bonechillers with chair shots. It didn't take long for the match to devolve into madness as Skullsy would use the high octane style of the match to his advantage, Jumping off of the ladder onto Groot early on while Skullmageddon tried to brawl with the big man Crag, who was having none of that. Grag would toss him around like a ragdoll. Everyone except for Skullsy at some point would be thrown through a table, but he wouldn't escape unscathed. Skullmageddon would set up the other two stacked on a table outside of the ring and Skullsy would climb the ladder, but instead of taking his chance to grab the title he would do a moonsault off of the ladder. The two would get off of the table and Skullsy would be left to crash through the table and onto the cement below, rendering him completely useless. The Cro-Mags would powerbomb Skullmageddon through another table and Crag would climb the ladder while the two Bonechillers were completely out, retrieving the belts so the Cro-Mags could become the premiere Deadly Duo champions.

Winner: The Cro-Mags

Finish: Crag retrieved the titles.

Match 3

Deathmatch

FlValfl.jpg vs gYrvsGC.jpg vs ixcYw22.jpg

Andrew Boyd vs Bruiser Boyd vs Chris Moxley

This was the exact kind of bloodbath that the fans had come to see. Barbedwire Boards were set up in the corners, light tubes were around the ropes, and the ring started with a nice mixture of broken glass and thumb tacks layed out on the mat. It was obvious from the offset that Andrew Boyd wasn't necessarily used to this kind of match, but that didn't stop him from putting on an impressive performance. He would lock up with Chris Moxley early on, trying to neutralize the youngster, but Bruiser was having none of that, taking a barbed wire bat to Andrew's back and raking it down as the pure wrestler was forced to break his lock. All three men would take quite the beating, but the entire time it was obvious that this was Bruiser's playground. The biggest spot of the match happened when a pane of glass was laid out across two chairs on top of a barbed wire board that was supported by a table. Chris Moxley would take Andrew Boyd to the top rope, looking to toss him through it, but Bruiser was having none of that. He would pick up both men and put then through the precariously placed structure together, completely wiping both of them out. When Bruiser would drag Andrew back into the ring he had to pull Barbed Wire out of his skin, and there was a massive glass shard in his side. Bruiser would pick him up and give him a Bruiser Bomb through another pane of glass before pinning him for the win. The crowd cheered all three men, chanting "This is HARDCORE!" The entire match was fantastic from beginning to end.

Winner: Bruiser Boyd

Finish: Bruiser Bombed Andrew Boyd for the pinfall.

A video package plays showing the structure for the next match. Apocalypse and Mikey Malice both talk over it about the 666 light tube cage match, and what it will mean for their carrers and their lives, significantly shortening both most likely. They spoke about what it meant to them to be in such a fantastic moment, the premier of this match that was planned to be the ultimate chance to show off what CTUC was all about. The structure was shown in detail, watching as a ring agent wrapped babrbed wire in with the links of the cage and used it to tie the light tubes in place, an impressive amount of them in order to suppliment the title of the match. The Bucket of Blood title would be contended in this structure, and both men wanted to make history in more ways than one...

Match 4

666 Light Tube Cage Match for the Bucket of Blood Title

IzLYrwv.jpg12k5Mfy.jpgtb9pmnP.jpg

Apocalypse vs Mikey Malice

The match that looked to become a cornerstone for the hardcore company was great in theory, but difficult in execution. There were many points where fans couldn't see the action, and they were extremely vocal about that fact until Apocalypse picked up Malice and smashed him into all four sides of the cage, smashing a good chunk of the tubes and causing several cuts across Malice's body. When he would stand and go to move, you could see the glass falling out of his cuts as they all began to open up, turning him into a fountain of blood. From there, it turned into a bloody brawl, with both men taking slams onto the glass covered mat and a particularly nasty spot coming when Malice shoved a light tube in Apocalypse's mouth and kicked his lower jaw, causing him to bite down and shatter the tube which lead to "HOLY SHIT" and "THIS IS BRUTAL" chants from the crowd. Apocalypse was spitting out blood and glass before Malice caught him with another superkick and then took him for a DDT into another pile of glass, turning his already bloody face into a full mask of crimson. Malice would pin him for the surprising victory, and the crowd would shout their true appreciation for what the two men had put themselves through for their entertainment.

Winner: Mikey Malice

Finish: DDT into glass for a pinfall

As the ring was cleaned up for the next match the camera cut to a dark room in the back, the shape of a large man barely visible through the darkness and haze. When the camera zoomed in you could see a black gas mask as a low voice stated that he was Sledgehammer. His time in Japan had turned him into the hardest mother f**ker on the planet and that no man was his equal. He said that he had watched Gonzalez's career and he was truly an impressive competator, but in the end, everyone fell to the Hammer Blow. In the end it would be Sledgehammer ascending the ladder and pulling down the title and championing CTUC into the future.

Ladder Match for the Television Title

z2vdMBP.jpgwzIXobn.jpgzq1pe3w.jpg

Gonzalez vs Sledgehammer

There was no way this wasn't going to be a hard hitting affair as the two massive heavyweights collided in the middle of the ring. Weller commented that the ladder might break under one of these men's weight, as they generally weren't made for such massive individuals to be scalling, at which point Jerry Mount would mention that Sorken had invested in stronger ladders specifically for this match. The Crowd was already white hot at this point, and this match had a chance to burn them out, but the two big bruisers would start it out at a slow pace, bringing the crowd back down with some good old fashioned brawling. It was clear that Sledgehammer's Japanese influence was something that Gonzalez was having difficulty dealing with as each strike landed like a truck had hit him. He was completely red, though Sledgehammer wasn't getting out unscathed either. The two men surprisingly (or maybe unsurprisingly considering who they were and how big they both were) avoided using the ladder for the most part, though there was a particularly nasty bump where Gonzalez superplexed Sledgehammer into a ladder that was set up between two chairs, which bent the ladder in half. This would bring the crowd back up and the two began to take their brawl to the next level, which would culminate with Sledgehammer slipping out of the Gonzalez Spash and nailing him with his Hammer Blow elbow, picking him up and setting him up in the corner so he could hit him with two more for good measure. As a referee checked to see if Gonzalez was still conscious, which it honestly didn't seem like he was, Sledgehammer would climb the ladder and pull down his Television Title, holding it high for everyone to see as the crowd went wild and the announcers put over the match and the entire show before telling everyone to tune in on Thursday next week to see their first ever television show...

Winner: Sledgehammer

Finish: Item Retrieval

The totally in no way a rip off of Andre - Giant Jewish guy tapped to a guy called Lt Gruder - that's not a good look.

When I started this save I did not for a second think of how uncomfortable writing the Übersoldaten was going to be. I, of course, played through two or three months before posting this, and man was that just awful. They're good workers too of course...

Another Rockverse diary, hooray! As always I'm excited to see how this turns out and I'm always flattered when someone starts a diary using the RV mod.

I'll be following for sure!

Glad to hear it! As soon as I saw totally not Billy Corgan sitting in user characters I had decided I was going to write something using the Rockverse. I'm a big Pumpkins fan :p

Backstage, Genesis of Deathcore

Sorken couldn’t even watch the matches, he was too nervous. He was sitting in the back with his head in his hands trying to listen to the crowd. He had had a month getting to know the majority of his roster, running small test shows in front of select screening crowds so he could see how they were, but he was a bit of a perfectionist and he didn’t like the idea that he wasn’t going to get to know that everything was going to go perfectly, especially with this type of crowd. He was understandably stressed out...this wasn’t easy american Sports Entertainment wrestling where you book the feel good stories and the crowds love you, this was Garbage Deathmatch wrestling where everyone hates everything they’re supposed to like and loves the things they’re supposed to hate.

Before the show had even began he ran into some issues. Weller had been very vocal about how unhappy he was with the Übersoldaten gimmick and he didn’t want to call their match. Sorken knew this was a possibility. He went up to Arnie in the back and talked to him about the match. The man was very professional about the whole thing, especially considering it was a pretty unreasonable request. If you wanted to superheat Übersoldaten you had to have him beat Golem, and Arnie understood that. Weller was told that if he had a real issue with it, he should let it play out in his performance, make the crowd hate them even more. Weller shook his head and made his way out to do his job. Sorken expected he was going to have to take the table at some point with them...

The first dark match was surprisingly quiet considering the type of fans they were attracking. The two masked men made their way to the back and told Sorken that they wouldn’t be coming back. That crowd didn’t appreciate what they did for them. He wouldn’t find out until reading an online review of the show the next day that the two of them were complete trash together and bombed the match. He had hoped that their built in story would work here, but it just seemed to be completely worthless with the two terrible workers. His first match was a dud, a mistake, and he wasn’t overly happy about that.

When the second started he could hear the crowd getting into it. John Smith had a punchable face and the perfect gimmick to capitalize on that. He was also a decent person and Sorken had some plans for him. He could hear the crowd booing as he made his way out, true organic heat. The kid was a natural. Then they basically exploded when Orcus entered. The guy was a Canadian legend as far as deathmatch wrestling went. He had the kind of gimmick that crowds like this loved too, crazy cult leader super evil priest. The guy walked to the ring with a f**king crucifix, I mean that was just ridiculous. It’s not like Sorken was going to have anyone crucified on his first show...that could wait a little while. When they game back Smith was a little bloody and him and Orcus were smiling as they talked about the spots and the crowd reactions, and smith poked fun at Orcus for his terrible pun.

The third Dark Match was right up the crowd’s alley. Petruzzi and Shocker! were both deathmatch fighters. Sorken hadn’t heard of either of these guys before he started working with Mayham but he told him to come check them out. They were pretty damned good and could put on a not completely terrible match. By crowd reaction, it was definitely the right choice to put on before the show proper, as it heated the crowd in a fantastic way. Petruzzi still had pieces of fan sign stapled to his forehead when he walked into the back, but he seemed to be in a pretty good mood after their match. Shocker! Was pretty quiet, but he had a big smile on his face. They were eventually laughing about how a man had apparently lent them his prosthetic leg to use as a weapon. This made Sorken smile as well, people really loved this kind of wrestling.

The shit show started after that. God was the crowd loud when the Übersoldaten came out. They hated Poe as much as they hated them, maybe even more. They cheered the Sins, which was no big surprised. Whoever went out against Übersoldaten was an instantly made uber face, even if they’d never been seen before. He’d booked the Germans to go over, and when he heard the reaction to them pinning Golem he was worried the warehouse was going to be lit on fire. That would be terrible because there would be no way they were getting back in here again. Half way through the match Weller came through the curtain fuming. Sorken sat him down and gave him a drink and let him heir some grievances as they waited for the match to end. When Weller went back out he didn’t look anyone from Übersoldaten in the eye, and simply shook his head at Poe, who looked a bit upset. Even though she had done a fantastic job she told Sorken she also wasn’t comfortable with this job, and he nodded. He told her she was doing a fantastic job, and that for now he needed her to keep playing heater, but he could find something else for her down the line.

As The Cro-Mags made their way out for the TLC match they protested to Sorken, telling him that they weren’t high flyers and were useless in this kind of match. He told them not to worry. They weren’t expected to fly, just to climb that ladder and grab the belts. What they did in between was up to them, the Bonechillers, and Ruth. They both looked sour as they left and that mood showed in the match. The crowd was quieter through the match, though Sorken did notice that they seemed to really appreciate Skullsy. From what he had seen the kid had a lot of potential, and Ruth, Kwick, Grady and Mount all seemed to agree. That kid would be a bit star one day, and Sorken needed to mould that, but tonight they had to lose. They didn’t seem to mind of course. They actually seemed pretty happy that they had been put into the title match to begin with, and Sorken made note of the good attitudes of everyone involved. He was honestly impressed at how great the overall backstage situation seemed to be. He had heard horror stories of what Leftcoast dealt with on a nightly basis, and this was the complete opposite...besides maybe one man.

Bruiser Boyd had been brought in the company because of his experience, even though it had been known that he was extremely difficult to deal with in the past. Supposedly he had become better recently, but Sorken was having trouble with him from the moment he told him he wanted him to lose in this match. Andrew Boyd was a great young prospect and a good technical worker, and “God’s Gift” Chris Moxley was being touted as one of the next big stars in Hardcore wrestling, and a man to watch out for. His promo work was great, his character was fantastic, and Bruiser threw a fit when Sorken had even considered allowing Moxley to win. He changed it to appease the older wrestler for the time being, and Andrew Boyd agreed to take the pin. The match itself was insane. Sorken could hear the crowd throughout the whole thing. Ruth had told him about a spot that would end the match where Andrew and Mox would both go through a glass pane, two chairs, a barbed wire board and a table, and Sorken just shook his head as they were all excited. He’d get into it eventually, but right now this all still felt a little out there for him. Hearing the crowd cry out “This is HARDCORE” brought him around a bit though, they really did love this shit.

When Mox came back from the match his face was red from more than just blood. He was fuming that Bruiser had led to him getting an eye injury, and said he wasn’t safe to work with. Sorken would chalk that up to strike two against the Bruiser and try to comfort Mox, telling him not to worry too much about him, Moxley was the future of the sport after all, and Bruiser was at the tail end of his career. Chris seemed happier after this chat as Malice and Apocalypse began to make their way down to the ring. For this match Willy had to take a look at the structure in all of its glory. It was a disturbing thought that two men were going to go through a match in there, but one of those men literally wore a barbed wire necklace and the other was the man who came up with the match so he guessed it was alright?

Malice had asked to have the belt put on him, and Sorken just decided to go with it. Apocalypse worked for Leftcoast already, and putting a title on him right now could be a bad look as opposed to putting it on one of their guys who only works for them. They didn’t want him taking leaving and taking the belt to Leftcoast or getting scoped away by New Horror. It sounded like the crowd really appreciated everything the two men had done for them, because part way through the match Sorken started hearing “HOLY SHIT” and “THIS IS BRUTAL”. He didn’t want to think of what horrible thing one of them had done to the other to get those chants, but the pop when it was over was huge. Malice’s music would play and Sorken knew what that meant. The two men looked terrible when they came into the back and directly into the locker room to be looked at by a doctor, but man did they look happy.

“You hear those f**kin’ cheers Will? They f**king love us out here! I told you Chicago was F**kin’ hardcore man!” Malice was so happy when he spoke to Sorken, and he couldn’t disagree. He would personally go out and help clean up the ring for the next match, almost throwing up at the amount of blood that had stained their mats already. The crowd cheered for him as he was out there before he brought out the Internet Championship bent, showing it to the crowd before handing it to Calvin to hang it above the ring. Sorken would then go into the crowd and take a seat with the fans for the final match, watching as the two biggest stars in the company made their way down the ramp. He wasn’t disappointed. He had a smile on his face the entire match. The crowd was so invested that he honestly couldn’t believe what he was hearing. It was a surreal experience to think that he had helped make this happen, and that these two amazing workers were wrestling for him right now. The ending popped him as much as it popped the crowd as Sledgehammer came down the ladder with that title. Sorken would get back in the ring and shake his head, giving him and Gonzalez both hugs before lifting both of their hands as the crowd went wild with “THANK YOU WILLY” chants.

He went to the bar after the show and bought a drink with Malice, who looked legitimately terrible after his match. The two of them talked about the show, and the future, and how they were excited about what was to come for their company...

So with the Sins & the Auditor they reference classic wrestling characters Andre ,Raven & Rikidozan, pretty much any of the Samoans & IRS/Lance Storm - the girls less so although their is a sense of classic GLOW about them. The Sins were designed to replicate a cliq in wrestling but also to have a bunch of young workers with a lot of potential, personality wise it was deliberate that their default characters are the opposite of their true personalities because that's classic heel behaviour - George the Animal Steele was a quiet good natured school teacher. The Auditor was the classic guy with minimal natural charisma trying to play into that which is what Rotunda and Storm did during their careers.

Enjoying this a lot so far - willr0cks renders are beautiful, the array of characters are over the top & colourful which makes them easy to visualise and the writing has been really fun.

Maximillian Weller and Jerry Mount sit on commentary, discussing the success of their first ever show, and how excited they were to be a part of this project. They mentioned that on tonight's one hour long show they would see their new Internet Champion in action as he teams with his protege Wrecking Ball to take on Gonzalez and Gigante. They also mention that we will see the debuts of the axe wielding maniac Kurtis Payne and the mysterious, the monstrous, EL CHUPACABRA! Before those though, we'll get free information on how to avoid being audited as John Smith will take on Chris Moxley. Don't miss a minute of the action!

Chris Moxley sits in the corner of the ring, microphone in hand. He says that he was a part of what was arguably the match of the night at Genesis of Deathcore, and that he was robbed of the victory by the Big Bastard Bruiser. He said that he wasn't going to let that stand, and he was going to become the biggest star in the company, starting with a victory tonight against John Smith. He said that God had sent him here to punish the wicked, and that was exactly what he would do tonight...

Chris Moxley vs John Smith

Smith had a microphone in hand as well while he made his way towards the ring, but Moxley wouldn't allow him to get a word in as he'd march uo the ramp and smash him with a massive clothesline, picking him up and dropping him onto the ring steps before rolling him into the ring. The bell rang and the match officially began. The crowd started hot for this match from the beginning, loving seeing The Dark Messiah taking it to the Evil Auditor> Smith would catch Moxley with a nice chair shot to the back and head, putting him down as he dragged a table into the ring and went to put Moxley through it, which genuinely shocked the crowd as they were positive that was it, but the table didn't break when Mox smashed into it, much to the pleasure of the crowd. Smith would Pick Moxley up and go to do it again, but Mox would wiggle out of that, hit Smith with a massive elbow and then a super kick before taking him up and putting him through the same table that hadn't broken earlier. The crowd lost their minds as The Auditor was defeated, even though Moxley was most likely the heel in this situation.

Winners: Chris Moxley

Karen Mannis is shown in the back room with The Exterminators flanking her. They are all searching the room as Mannis says that they're here to find any trace of those terrible Ubersoldaten so that they can erase them from existence. They were brought into the company to fix that little problem, which realistically shouldn't still be alive to begin with, and they were going to make sure the job got done! The crowd cheered this because it's hard to deny that the Ubersoldaten are the biggest heels in the company, so any face who was put against them were instantly given credibility.

Kurtis Payne vs El Chupacabra

It had to be uncomfortable to wrestle in the costume that El Chupacabra works in, but the crowd certainly appreciated the extra effort he put into it. They were freaking out during the entrances, Payne entering with Abigale held high, Abigale of course being the name of his Axe which Jerry Mount would tell everyone watching at home. When El Chupacabra came out you could hear Mount and Weller both stifling laughter, as clearly they were told to sell this guy as a monster but it was hard to do when you looked at his ridiculous getup. The match was decent, both men showing they were more than comfortable with a chair in their hands as they laid into one another with stiff and disgusting looking chair shots before moving into the rest of the toybox that existed under the ring, which ended with a terrifying looking spot where Chupacabra had Abigale and swing it at the handle of a Sledgehammer that Payne was swinging, the impact snapping the handle of the hammer as the head would smash into El Chupi's mask, causing him to drop to the ground. Payne would look around and shrug before picking Chupi up and hitting him with his Chopping Block cutter, which may have been a bit tricky considering everyone was under the assumption that Chups was already unconscious at this point. The pinfall victory at that point was emminent.

Winner: Kurtis Payne

Finish: Chopping Block for the pinfall

Gonzalez & Ginormus vs The Destruction Crew

There was a lot of excitement surrounding this match, mostly because it was similar to a rematch from the Genesis event. El Ginormus and Wrecking Ball spent much of the match in the match, however, their elders giving them a chance to shine...which they didn't really do. The crowd was bored by the youngsters and kept very loudly telling the competitors that they wanted Gonzalez and Sledgehammer. When the two finally gave the crowd what they wanted the reaction was electric, culminating in the re-ignition of their brawl from the weekend as they still had wounds that weren't even healed yet. Sledgehammer started landing heavy blows on Gonzalez until the massive El Ginormus came and the two of them double teamed the champ. When Sledgehammer got to his corner for the hot tag, Wrecking Ball proved that he wasn't able to live up to his name as he slammed right into the big man, Ginormus tossing him like he was a rag doll before Gonzalez went to the top for a Gonzalez Splash. Ginormus kept Sledgehammer away as Kwick counted the three count for the pinfall victory.

He said that there was no way Bruiser could defeat him in a regular singles match, which drew the Bruiser out, who looked extremely pissed off. His voice was irritated as he told Andrew that not only could he beat him, but he had already spoken to Sorken about making the match, and they would be competing in the main event, making Andrew smile. He said he'd better be careful what he wished for however, because he'd do a lot more than just bruise the youngster. He'd better be careful, or his career could end right here tonight before it had a chance to get going...

IT was a good thing that this was a tables match, because it perfectly hid the fact that The Exterminators were completely garbage in the ring. The crowd was cheering them anyway of course, because anyone fighting against The Ubersoldaten were going to get cheered, but man was it an ugly match. It didn't take long for everyone to wonder why they would wore suits that restricted their movement and the masks that looked like they couldn't possibly see out of them. The match itself wasn't overly long, fortunately, as the eliminations started with two exterminators. The final remaining one managed to take out Lt. Gruder by driving him through a table in the corner, but when the final exterminator was put through a table the crowd cheered the fact that the match was done.

Winners: Ubersoldaten

Finish: Exterminator C was eliminated first, then Exterminator A, then Lt. Gruder, and finally Exterminator B.

Original Sin vs The Bonechillers

There was no possible way that this match could be worse than the one that it had followed...or at least that was the expectation. Reality unfortunate dictated otherwise. The four youngsters looked extremely green in their match, and you could tell that none of them were overly happy to be in a hardcore match, save for G-Forz who looked right at home swinging a chair around and beating the shit out of the Bonechillers. Skullmageddon left Skullsy for dead for the most part as the two Sins took their time taking him apart, but it made the hope spot that much better when he made it into the corner for the hot tag. Skullmageddon exploded out of the corner and directly into a K-Punk attack from the top rope that took all of the wind out of his sails about as fast as it took for the chair under Punk's ass to split his forehead opened. After that attack the chair was dropped and K-Punk picked him up for a nasty looking Powerbomb, or as Weller was quick to point out, Slacker Bomb directly onto the chair. It looked sloppy and the pinfall was a merciful one. After the match K-Punk would shrug and jump onto G-Forz's shoulders, letting him carry him away as Skullsy ran in to check on Skullmageddon, who gave him a chair shot for his effort and began berating his younger self for not being more useful.

Winner: Original Sin

Finish:Slacker Bomb to Skullmageddon for the pinfall

Willy Sorken made his way out to the ring to the adoration of the Chicago crowd. He held a title belt over his shoulder and a microphone in his hand as he said that this was the CTUC Television Championship. It would only ever be defended on TV, and the first ever match for the title will be held next week in a tables match. He called Chris Moxley to the ring.

Moxley approached with a Microphone in hand and Sorken told him that his singles match last week, unbeknownst to him, was a number one contenders match for the title. Moxley would get to the ring and sit down in the corner, lazily resting against the ringpost. He would tell Sorken that he was the obvious choice for the title, and realisticaly he should just present it to him because there was no real point in holding the match as nobody he could bring out would give him any trouble. Sorken said he'd stop Moxley right there, as the pairing he had in mind would give him more than a good challenge he was sure. Mox would quickly begin to complain before Sorken told him that his opponents would be accompanied by Abigale, at which point the crowd went crazy.

Kurtis Payne's music hit and the axe wielding maniac made his way towards the ring, Sorken announcing him as he brought Abigale with him. He said that Payne had also passed their little test last weak with his victory over El Chupacabra, and that next week these two men would face off for the first time ever in a tables match for the CTUC World Television Title. Payne would hit the ring and swing Abigale towards Mox, causing him to roll out and make his way to the back, clearly looking unhappy as Payne laughed maniacly and the crowd went insane. The anticipation was real...

Andrew Boyd vs Bruiser Boyd

After kind of a weird show the Main Event was actually pretty damned good considering the company that it was coming out of. Andrew Boyd put on a wrestling clinic as Bruiser Boyd sandbagged him pretty well the entire time. It was clear that Bruiser was pissed off about something, and he was taking it out on Andrew and the crowd, but Andrew didn't care as he just doubled down on his impressive offence and gave the crowd a reason to go home happy. Every shot from Bruiser was stiff, causing massive welts on Andrew's back and legs from stuff chops and kicks, while Andrew used his superior wrestling skills to get him onto the mat and stretch him out. The crowd didn't seem to care that this seemed to be more of a shoot fight than anything else, because it was a hell of a lot better than the other matches that they had gotten so far tonight on the main card. At one point Andrew Body took Bruiser up for his finisher, the Gateway to Salvation, which was a disgusting looking double underhook lifting piledriver, and the pinfall seemingly was supposed to end the match, but Boyd kicked and no sold the move, which Andrew would respond to by giving him a solid kick to the side of the head and dropping him to the mat, picking him back up and hitting him with the move one more time. Needless to say, he didn't kick out of that one.

Winner: Andrew Boyd

Finish: Gateway to Salvation for the pinfall

With the Sins they are babies so they wont have the complete skill-sets - Sloth channels elements of the Raven persona and skills but he's still a teenager with those guys it's a matter of developing those skills which is half the fun.

Fun note, Bruiser Boyd quickly became locker room poison. Just my luck, the guy put on some good matches, but I'm usually pretty picky about the amount of negative influences in my locker room. Wait until my ECP save starts up, there's a decent roster shake up.
