Chi-Town Urban Combat! Feb Week 3

Pre Show

Match 1

Original Sins (K-Punk & G-Forz) vs Ubersoldaten (Lt & Major)

-Nothing particularly exciting, both teams did good work.

-The Sins seem fairly over, but it helps that they have hated opponents.

-K-Punk defeats Lt. Gruder by pinfall with a Slacker Bomb setting up the rubber match.

-Rating: 38

Match 2

The Exterminators vs Lord Ginormus & Wrecking Ball

-This was a table match

-All four men were pretty awful. Ginormus and Wrecking Ball both have a long way to go and The Exterminators are just really depressingly bad.

-The crowd didn't really care, they only wanted to see people go through tables.

-Both Eliminators went through tables for the ending.

-Rating: 35

Match 3

Apocalypse and "Gerome Funk" vs The Cro-Mags

-There was a cage on hand so they made this a cage match because...reasons.

-Dr. Funkenstein debuting as Gerome Funk actually was pretty good.

-Groot looked like crap out there compared to the other three

-Funk sold being thrown into a cage like a boss before getting pinned by Crag with a... *sigh* "Crag Smash...Good."

Rating: 39

Maximillian Weller and Jerry Mount sit on commentary, hyping up tonights main event, a Tables Match for the Television Title between Chris Moxley and Kurtis Payne. They mention that they will also see the amazing team of El Chupacabra and The Shicker! collectively known as Monsters Inc. taking on Frankie Petruzzi and Orcus. we will also be getting a triple threat match between the evil Auditor John Smith, The Embodiment of Wrath Golem and Skullsy the Skatertron. What a bizare lineup, but it should be a good one! On a more solem note they mention that Bruiser Boyd will no longer be with the company going forward.

Andrew Boyd makes his way into the ring, microphone in hand. He says that last week he beat an uncooperative Bruiser Boyd so hard that he quit the F**king company and went home crying. He took it to a main event level talent, a hardcore icon, so brutally that he ran home with his tail between his legs and would never be seen in the company again. He had proven that he was a hard bastard and a certified badass, and he wanted SLEDGEHAMMER to come out here and meet him right now.

GeqOtke.jpg

Not one to turn down a challenge, even if it was simply to come down to the ring, the massive man known as Sledgehammer came to the ring, sans his impressive gasmask. He walked right up to Boyd and got into his face, producing a microphone and telling him that he wanted to look into the eyes of the man who had the audacity to call him from his rest in the back. He was a busy man, and this had better be important. To Boyd's credit, he didn't flinch, trying to match Sledgehammer's intensity (though the size difference made it a little difficult) and telling him that he deserved a title shot. He didn't care if Sledge thought he was king shit or the baddest bastard on the planet, Andrew Boyd was here to prove all the haters wrong, just like he had done with Bruiser and like he was going to do with Sledgehammer.

Sledge couldn't help but to laugh. He told Boyd that he had some big balls to talk to him like that, but he liked that. He said that he'd give him a title match, if he could prove himself against two men next week. Boyd said he'd take on anyone at any time and to just tell him who he'd be facing. Sledge smirked and said that he would be facing Gonzalez...and a mystery opponent. Boyd looked visibly annoyed, but he simply said "Bring it on".

Match 1

Hardcore Match

eI9ZDh8.jpgNIauIia.jpg VS HSq3AwL.jpgytHcbOh.jpg

Monsters Inc vs Orcus & Petruzzi

Not a good match by any means, and seemingly more a way to get the two monsters over...even though it may have done the opposite. Orcus and Petruzzi looked fantastic together, as though they had been working together for years. There was a pretty sweet spot where the two of them picked up The Shocker! and slammed him through the Crucifix that Orcus brings out to the ring which earned a loud pop from the crowd. The Shocker! and Chups also had a pretty bizzare but fairly impressive spot where they did a double chokeslam that ended in both of them taking a bite out of Orcus. The chairs and tacks came out, and the finish wasn't long from this world and would eventually come about when El Chupe hit his finisher "Silencio De Los Cabras" (which Weller couldn't help but laugh when he said the name of it because it's a silly name) on Petruzzi as The Shocker! took out Orcus with a chair and Chups pinned Petruzzi for the win.

Winners: Monsters Inc.

Finish: El Chupacabra defeated Frankie Petruzzi by pinfall with a Silencio De Los Cabras.

Match 2

John Smith vs Golem vs Skullsy the Skaterton

The crowd seems to really love Skullsy for whatever reason, his laid back skater slacker gimmick clearly resonating with a lot of them. Even though he and Smith spent much of the match getting tossed around the ring by The Wrathful One, Skullsy still managed to be cheered throughout the entire match. Technically speaking, this match was worse than the previous one, and Golem doing a lot of the work throughout it exposed some of his weakness as a performer, but the ending would make it clear that the match was simply being used for an angle. Skullmageddon would end up coming out and distracting Calvin Kwick as Smith grabbed a pair of chairs and he and Skullsy both hit a nasty looking conchairto on the big man, bringing him down to his knees before they blasted him again. Skullsy would then kick the chairs out of the ring and hold Golem down as Smith locked in his Auditor crossface submission, which wouldn't cause a submission from the big man, but the ref would end up calling it because Golem was unreactive.

Winner: John Smith

Finish: Awarded the victory for his submission hold putting Golem unconscious

Skullmageddon would bring a microphone into the ring and hand it to Smith, looking quite sour as he did so. Skullsy put his hands in his pockets and looked down at the mat as Smith told the crowd that he had audited Skullmageddon and learned that his time travelling had ensured that the two men (or man? apparently) owed an exuberant amount of money. There was no possible way that he would be able to pay it back, but Smith had offered him a chance to work it off by working for him. Thus forth, the two Skullky men would be working for The Auditor as the IRS.

Chris Moxley vs Kurtis Payne

The main event took place between two men who could be considered to be the future of hardcore wrestling as The Dark Messiah took on the Axe Swinging Maniac in a table match. Payne made it pretty damned clear that his intention was to have Mox meet the business end of Abigale, which the Dark Messiah managed to avoid for the most part. There was a point where Payne managed to jab him in the stomach with the handle and then swing at his head, which he managed to aviod. The back swing however did catch him and the back of the axe opened his head up. Payne would go to capitalize, but Mox would counter and steal the axe away, smashing the side of the head into Payne's spine and then giving him a ddt onto a chair. Moxley would end up securing the win when he hit his Moxicity finisher and drove Payne through a table with it, drawing loud cheers from the crowd. Sorken would come out to present him with the championship, which Mox would hold high for all to see before collapsing into the corner of the ring, draping it over his shoulder.

Winner: Chris Moxley

Finish: Moxicity through the table

Enjoying this, got confused because u used Paynes pic instead of G For in the Original Sin match.

???

Payne

Uber drivers

If I remember rightly Knittle is the good one.

I didn't even notice! Got that all fixed.

Yeah Knittle is the best worker of the three, which is funny because he's the lowest ranking one, of course he'd be the workhorse.

Match 1

Moxley, Orcus & Petruzzi vs Original Sin

-Moxley looked exceptionally good in this match.

-Both teams worked well together.

-Orcus and Petruzzi hit a double team move on K-Punk leading to Moxley hitting him with the Moxicity for the pinfall.

-Mox picks up a microphone and gives a sermon about how God has put these two men here for a reason, and moving forward the Godsent would work together in order to purge the sin and corruption from this company.

Maximillian Weller and Jerry Mount sit on commentary, talking about how we have a tables match between The Axe Wielding Maniac and the psychopathic Apocalypse. They mention that the opener will be a number one contender match for the Deadly Duo titles between two teams who...well existed. And they speculated who could possibly be showing up for the Main Event as the mystery third man!

The Exterminators vs Ubersoldaten

This match proved that the Tag Team division in this company is...well pretty sad. The Soldiers looked pretty solid against The Exterminators to be perfectly fair, but the fact that the crowd was starting to cheer for comeback spots from such an offensive gimmick just shows how poorly the Exterminators performed...which of course made the ending of the match that much more bizzare. The Exterminators were booked surprisingly strongly in the match, dominating the majority of the short affair before putting away Trooper Knittle fairly easily with a Bug Spray. The Soldiers looked shocked as they rolled out of the ring and the crowd laid down boos, that is until...

Winners: The Exterminators

Finish: Troope Knittle is pinned after a Bug Spray.

The Cro-Mags hit the ring and proceeded to lay a beat down on their opponents for Saturday's Lights Out! event, giving them both masive lariats and tossing a table into the ring that they proceeded to put both men through. The crowd seemed surprisingly silent for this entire segment, and with the "quality" of the four men involved, this almost lost them.

Apokalypse vs Kurtis Payne

There is a very good possibility that Abigale is the most over performer in the company, as the crowd popped huge for the axe while Payne made his intro, drawing a smile from the madman and a chuckle from Weller. This match again wasn't phenominal, but it was better than the tag team bout that proceeded it for sure. Apokalypse got a chance to hit a lot of nasty looking offence, one moment coming when he took the barbed wire from around his neck and proceeded to put it in Payne's mouth and pull hard, Payne selling it like it was the end of his world. Payne did get a massive pop when he was able to bust Apokalypse opened by pressing the blade of Abigale into his forehead, the bloodthirsty fans having hoped for this all night apparently. Tons of near finishes happened and both men were teased going through the table, but eventually Apokalypse would pick up Payne and put him on his shoulders, which would cause Payne to counter, roll behind him, blast Apokalypse in the head with the butt end of Abigale, and then take him up for a powerbomb through a table.

Winner: Kurtis Payne

Finish: Powerbomb through the table

Andrew Boyd vs Gonzales vs Gary Warren

The suspense was a good call on this poor show, as when Gary Warren walked through that curtain the crowd was ready to treat him as a massive hero for saving them from the monotany of what they had previously seen. Boyd and Gonzales of course both looked surprised and Warren and Mount sold their shock as though they'd just been told that their mothers were the queen and they were billionairs. This really helped the excitement as the two of them did a phenominal job throughout the entire match keeping up with the action while also putting over how big of a star Gary Warren is, about his amazing soccer and football careers (which Weller scolded Miller for his improper use of the word Football), about how great Gonzales is in 3PW and his fued with the Padilla Family, about how impressive Andrew Boyd has been recently, and about his redemption since Genesis of Deathcore. The competators themselves also did a damned good job telling their individual stories in the ring. Gary Warren was here to show the world what a massive star he was and that he could cut it anywhere. Gonzalez was out to prove that he was the biggest monster in the company, and he'd take it to Sledgehammer one more time. Boyd was one of the hottest young prospects in all of wrestling, and he was going to take out the two older men and punch his ticket to a tittle match.

All three men got in fantastic amounts of offence, Warren hitting sickening crisp suplexes on both men, Gonzalez was throwing out stiff punches and elbows like his life depended on it, and Andrew Boyd would slow both men down by tying them up. Eventually Gonzalez would give Warren a lariat out of the ring before turning right into a Gateway to Salvation from Andrew Boyd, who would then cover him up for the three count to earn him a title shot against Sledgehammer. The crowd loved every second of this match, and were on their feet for the finish.

Winner: Andrew Boyd

Finish: Gateway of Salvation on Gonzalez for the pinfall.

After the match Sledgehammer's music would hit as the champion would make his way down the ring, the two challengers rolling out so that it was just him and Boyd. He would lift Boyd's hand high in the air which drew a cheer from the crowd before he would not let go and pull him in for a massive Lariat. He would then pick him back up and blast him with his title belt, standing with one foot on top of his fallen future foe. He'd tell him he would see him this Saturday in a Monster's Ball match before kicking him once more and lifting his title to close the show.

Great work. The Rockverse is apparently supposed to get expanded for TEW 2020 and that can only be a good thing because it's just so beautiful and funny.

I'm certainly looking forward to that. I really love the Rockverse, it's just got such fun characters and it's so well done.
