Major news from Japan, as is revealed that the popular wrestler and one of the main faces of wrestling in that country, Shohei "Giant" Baba, announced his retirement at a press conference that lasted approximately 19 minutes in a large speech. The reasons behind this crucial decision is due to an injury he has suffered in the low of his back as a result of a poorly executed move by the wrestler Jumbo Tsuruta, with whom he had maintained a fierce match two months ago. And that led to Baba having an injury that later led to his retirement.

Baba also announced that he may have retired as a wrestler, but will not leave the promotion All Japan. Since following his relationship with his wife, Motoko Baba, he will have a new position behind the scenes as the head booker of All Japan Pro Wrestling, we wish Giant Baba the best of luck in his new goal of leading the promotion. at high levels in the future.

Three months have passed since Giant Baba announced his premature retirement from professional wrestling. His pain still continues to have had to end his career even though he has a lot to prove ... but now is not the time to mourn the loss of his career. His wish to take the promotion to the top hasn't changed, now he will be the bones of All Japan Pro Wrestling to make it stronger than ever. Regarded as a brilliant booker before, Giant Baba will maintain his control as AJPW head booker and now, he begins his rise to be the best head booker in Japan.

The show opens up with a video package, replaying the controversial press conference that occurred just a week ago about the premature retirement of Giant Baba. The announcer, Kenji Wakabayashi emphasizes the fact that this is a great loss for All Japan Pro Wrestling and for puroresu in general. However, it is stated that Baba will spend the rest of his stay in All Japan working "behind the scenes" and being the first inducted into the new Hall of Fame that the promotion is about to create to conmemorate his former figurehead. As the video and Kenji's commentary ends, the camera zooms in on the audience, who begins to cheer for the Giant of the East. "Baba! Baba! Baba!"

The match started fast and smooth between Tenryu and Hansen. The offensive was notably obtained by the Texan cowboy for the first few minutes of the match, hitting him hard with his fists on his head, and strong knees on his abdomen when the opponent knelt to the ground. But then, Tenryu regained his moment in combat when Hansen was preparing his famous Lariat and he responded by doing a Dropkick with both feet on his head, and then chopping him hard on the chest, over and over again to the point of leaving him in pain because of the hard chops.

But suddenly, the match had to be slowed down when Stan Hansen recovered the offensive, because when Tenryu was preparing a huge powerbomb in him, Hansen recovered and managed to haul his Lariat, causing him to fall dramatically against the ring floor. Tenryu could be seen holding on to his mouth while writhing in pain, it seems he had a particularly painful blow to the jaw area, and started bleeding a little from his mouth as the camera focused on his face. But that didn't stop Hansen from stomping on his back as he caught the public's attention, which caused several to boo him but others in turn cheered loudly for him.

During the end of the match, Hansen was prepared to strike one last Lariat at Tenryu to finish him off, but then, Tenryu gets out of the ring for a moment to still treating for his pain in his jaw, but when Hansen started to get out of the ring to grab his hair, Tenryu started his offensive again by grabbing his head against the ropes and making a cutter on it. Then getting into the ring, he grabs Hansen and in an impressive show of strength, manages to perform a Northern Lights Bomb on him, causing the count to reach three and allowing Tenryu to win the match, enduring a stabbing pain until the end. We must give kudos to Genichiro Tenryu for putting up with all that brutal match and defeated Hansen in a phenomenal encounter between these two.

We cut to backstage, we can look to the PWF World Heavyweight Champion getting ready for his next match against Yoshiaki Yatsu. Rumors grow about what can happen to Riki Choshu since he decided to renew his contract with All Japan Pro Wrestling. Even some journalists consider Baba's retirement to be Choshu's golden opportunity to be the new face of the promotion, given that everything points to him being the wrestler that everyone loves right now. If the cards are played correctly, we can be seeing the next new figurehead of AJPW.

Riki Choshu vs Yoshiaki Yatsu - PWF World Heavyweight Title Match (30 minutes time limit.)

In a match that features the leader and a member of Ishingun, both men shows a mutual signal of respect before the match begins. The fight begins slowly, with various grapples and headlocks. At one point in the confrontation, Yatsu attempts to make a submission key on Choshu. But Choshu quickly demonstrates his technical skills, which shows a clear level of superiority between both fighters, Choshu manages to hold a headlock, and when releasing it, and then hits a strong Lariat on Yatsu's chest, causing him to fall to the ground in a violent way.

Choshu dominates pretty much of the match, including going to various attempts to use the Scorpion Deathlock on Yoshiaki, but always failing in the attempt. During the endgame, you can see that Choshu can go stronger than usual, and use a strong powerbomb pin to end the match in a class of domination by Choshu towards Yatsu, than the latter, for some reason. He did not show their full potential in this confrontation, perhaps it has to do with being part of the same group? It is not clearly known, but what is known is that the winner of this match and still PWF World Heavyweight Champion. Riki Choshu!
