Breaking: Fedor in Contract Dispute with PRIDE after Taking Fight Outside the Organization.

May 1, 2007

In shocking news, it is being reported that PRIDE Heavyweight Champion Fedor Emelianenko is in a contract dispute with the organization.

This news comes days after Fedor defeated Matt Lindland via Armbar at Bodog Fight: Clash of Nations 2007. The fight was Fedor's first outside of PRIDE since 2003.

PRIDE is reported to be furious that Fedor took a fight outside of the organization without their blessing.

We will update this story as it continues to develop.

Up next for PRIDE will be PRIDE 36 and will be the promotions debut in California.

The card will be headlined by the rematch between Shogun Rua and Mark Coleman. Coleman won the first fight after Shogun suffered a broken arm. You may recall that the first fight led to a post-fight brawl between the two corners.

Another very successful journey to the United States for PRIDE FC. The biggest story of the night was the debut of Brock Lesnar. Lesnar was very impressive in his performance but maybe too impressive for PRIDE's liking as the fighter has now drawn interest from other promotions, notably the UFC. It seems like there may be a potential bidding war over Lesnar's services.

Next up for PRIDE will be Critical Countdown 2007 which will feature the 2nd Round of the Lightweight Grand Prix as well as the return of Wanderlei Silva.

Another great night of fights is in the books for PRIDE FC. The Lightweight Grand Prix continued in grand fashion and we also saw the return of Wanderlei Silva. Silva got back to his winning ways following his loss to Dan Henderson by derailing the hype-train for Sokoudjou. Will we see another legendary win-streak for Silva and will Sokoudjou recover from his first PRIDE loss? We will have to wait and see.

After the 2nd Round of the Lightweight Grand Prix, the brackets look like this:

Next up for PRIDE will be PRIDE 37 which takes place at the end of August with a main event featuring James "The Colossus" Thompson fresh off his win against Don Frye and attempting to take out another legend in former PRIDE Heavyweight Champion Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira.

See you all then!

Hi everyone,

I have posted the beta on the first page of the thread. I hope you all enjoy it.

Please give me feedback on what you like or dislike or if there are any problems or things that need to be fixed.

Remember the full release will have more current-day fighters added in so if you don't see someone in there that you want, they will probably be in the full release.

The full release will also have updated ratings slightly based on real-life rankings from the time.

Thanks and enjoy!
