Re-Booking WWF And WCW After Wrestlemania IX

Recommended Posts

wwf-wcw.jpg

This begins the night after Wrestlemania IX.

I really stopped following wrestling as closely the year before. I was 16 years old, just started driving, my interests changed. I ordered the Wrestlemania 8 PPV the previous year and really did not follow wrestling much until Hogan joined WCW in 1994 and followed WCW much more then than I did the WWF. Eventually, stopped following again.

In 1996, I came across WCW Nitro to discover that Hulk Hogan was now a heel and I was definitely interested and began following wrestling again for several years. I enjoyed the Attitude Era to follow.

I don't enjoy today's product. It bores me. It lacks creativity and story telling. Today's product resembles a stunt show. I think there are many talented performers/wrestlers but the style and presentation of today's product is a turn off to me. Promotions have to shoot their wad each week because of live tv and it hurts story telling.

I miss the slower pace in the ring and the story telling in and out of the ring. Booking has always interested me more than the actual in ring action.

I missed a lot from 1992 to 1996. Going back and watching on the Network, I see a lot of potential in 1993. A lot of potential match ups and I have several ideas on booking. I have gone back and watched a lot of both WWF and WCW from this era to get an idea of what was happening in the world of wrestling which also gives me ideas for booking.

I think there are a few wrestlers in the eras after this one that would have fit in well in this generation of wrestling. I intend to bring 5 to 10 of them into this generation of wrestling. I think there are a few dream pairings that could happen. A couple of guys could have been monsters in this era. So you may see guys from today appear 5,10,20 years earlier than what they actually did as we rewrite wrestling after 1993.

I will also incorporate and modify some story lines that happened after 1993 that I liked.

You will be updated on stars switching promotions and given access to "dirt sheets" that will provide some accurate information as well as a swerve from time to time.

I like cliffhangers and swerves. That will likely be my writing style here.

If you are following, likes, comments motivate me to keep going. Hopefully I can provide some entertainment for people who follow this.

Ultimate Warrior Signs With WCW

ultimate-warrior-death.jpg

We have learned that the Ultimate Warrior has signed recently with WCW. From what we are hearing, the Warrior is expected to appear on WCW television in the next month and eventually challenge Vader for the WCW World Heavyweight Championship this summer at a PPV.

WCW Owner Ted Turner recently gave new company President Eric Bischoff a directive to make the promotion more competitive with Vince McMahon and the WWF. It was announced after last night's Wrestlemania that the event was Curt Hennig's last show with the WWF and that he has signed with WCW.

Bischoff feels it is important to get stars that have WWF recognition in an attempt to raise viewership and increase ratings. Bischoff and Turner have talked about a possible prime time tv show during the week similar to the WWF's "Monday Night RAW". It would likely air on one of Turner's stations.

Warrior vs Vader is a match and feud I wish we could've seen. I think if you Google their match in real life it pulls up a squash dark match they had in the WWF where warrior beat him so quick. Anyways good luck <img alt=":)" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/smile.png.142cfa0a1cd2925c0463c1d00f499df2.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" />

Savage: Bret Hart got a RAW deal last night but OOOOOH YEEEAAAH, Hulk Hogan made it right and took the WWF Championship back. </em></p><p><em> </em></p><p><em>

Heenan: What are you talking about Savage? There was nothing right about what Hogan did last night. Yokozuna was wronged. Frankly, Bret Hart should be upset as well. There is no way that match with Hogan should have counted for the title. </em></p><p><em> </em></p><p><em>

Vince: Well, Bobby Heenan. WWF Commissioner Jack Tunney made an announcement regarding these unusual circumstances, earlier tonight.</em></p><p> </p><p>

<em>Vince: Bret, I know you have to be upset about last night’s outcome. What are your thoughts</em></p><p><em> </em></p><p><em>

Bret: Yeah, I am upset Vince. Jack Tunney upheld the decision of the win by Hulk Hogan but did nothing about the actions of Mr. Fuji and Yokozuna that caused me to lose the match. I don’t have an issue with Hulk Hogan but I am not done with Yokozuna. I am also owed a rematch for the title at some point. </em></p><p><em> </em></p><p><em>

<strong>(Vince stops Shawn as he exits the ring)</strong></p><p>

<em>Vince: Just a minute Shawn Michaels. What is going on? Who is this man with you here tonight?</em></p><p><em> </em></p><p><em>

<strong>Match 4. Doink The Clown vs Rowdy Roddy Piper</strong></p><p>

<em>Vince: Doink The Clown defeated Crush last night at Wrestlemania. There were 2 Doinks last night.</em></p><p><em> </em></p><p><em>

Heenan: It was just an illusion McMahon. It’s a trick Doink does at kids parties along with tieing balloon animals. There weren’t two Doinks.</em></p><p><em> </em></p><p><em>

Savage: He cheated Heenan and you know it!</em></p><p> </p><p>

<em>Vince: Hulkster, congratulations on winning the WWF Championship last night at Wrestlemania</em></p><p><em> </em></p><p><em>

Hogan: Let me tell you something Brother….There was no way I was going to allow Yokozuna and Mr. Fuji to leave Wrestlemania with the WWF Championship after how they cheated last night. </em></p><p><em> </em></p><p><em>

Vince: Razor Ramon, you have no business out here. </p><p> </p><p>

Razor: Oh I got some business Chico. I ain’t got nothing going tonight so why don’t you face The Bad Guy on Monday Night Raw.</p><p> </p><p>

Vince: That is not happening</p><p>

<em>Vince: THIS IS AWFUL. HULK HOGAN HAS BEEN BADLY HURT. WILL HE EVEN BE ABLE TO DEFEND THE WWF CHAMPIONSHIP IN 3 WEEKS ON SATURDAY NIGHT’s MAIN EVENT?</em></p><p><em> </em></p><p><em>
