SkyCrasher has sent me the data this morning but I won't get to check it through and see if there's anything I want to add until Thursday Evening/Friday Morning. (SkyCrasher has given me one of the biggest updates to the data we've had in a very long time... if people can't get a long term save with the data after this, I don't know how they ever will! It is amazing the amount of work put in). I'm looking to have this out Friday afternoon - if I miss that deadline then Saturday morning (UK time).

I cannot stress enough that my only input into the 2.2 update is checking it through and maybe making the odd tweak here or there (and picture checking) - all credit/thanks for this update goes to SkyCrasher. As I've said, I'm unable to sit at my desk for long periods at the moment so my modding days are on hold.

Heck yeah buddy. I'll wait until you guys drop the release then. I hope you feel better soon bud. I'll keep you in my thoughts bud.

1992 Chronicles NEW UPDATE: Please Read

Firstly, a massive thank you to SkyCrasher for this update. I had no intentions of releasing a 2.2 but the contribution made in this update was so significant that I couldn't let it sit on a hard drive. Again, with the exception of a quick run through, I have had no hand in any of this new update so your thanks for this one should go to SkyCrasher.

Secondly, The data and Logo/Belts pack is up, but I have yet to upload the new People picture pack. This will hopefully be uploaded by the end of the weekend as I am slowly working my way through the pictures provided and updating/re-scaling those provided, but this will take me longer for reasons already explained. You won't have to assign the pictures, once done you can put them in your People folder and they will show up in game (saved games too).

The download to the data and the Logo/Belts pack is on the first page (1st post). Hope you all enjoy, as always, constructive feedback on mistakes/oversights is always welcome.

=======================
Changes In Version 2.2 (Update by SkyCrasher)
=======================
Version 2.2 focuses on expanding the game experience beyond just new promotions. Dojos for feds that should have one AND proper graduates, fleshed-out RINGS, PWFG, and UWFi rosters, new venues, new broadcasters from underserved areas, and some fixes to mistakes that somehow weren't noticed until now. Version 2.2 has it all.

Other Changes / Fixes
------------------------
Removed Minimum Age for owner and booker for all workers, as changes introduced in 1.41 prevent intended ownerships and stop some companies from forming
Fixed several workers not having languages they logically should have
Fixed several workers being set to "Yes As Legacy" but not having legacies saved
Fixed several workers who had no active regions
Fixed 11 workers who were set to be active wrestlers but used a Never Wrestles style (either made them non-wrestlers or set a real style as appropriate)
Fixed three workers who had no roles set despite being active wrestlers
Changed Gorgeous George's standard name to Stephanie Bellars (Gorgeous George as an alter ego in WCW only) and fixed her using the picture of the actual George
Changed Raj Singh's standard name to Tiger Raj Singh to allow for a Raj Singh alias belonging to Gama Singh Jr.
Fixed birthdate and debut date of The Zebra Kid
Fixed Lucifer's birthdate
Made Bambi able to work as a Manager (there's at least one example of her working in this capacity, for the Fantastics in NWL)
Itsuki Hoshino no longer debuts already retired
Moved Hideki Hosaka's debut to May 1991 (from August) because he worked a RINGS show in that month
Increased Charly Manson's leg health as he hasn't suffered his leg break yet (2001)
Gave Hideki Hosaka employment history with RINGS and W*ING
Gave the Fabulous Moolah several attributes to reflect the sort of person she's now known to be
Gave Tessa Blanchard Bully personality and Prodigy attribute (as real life)
Made Caleb Konley good at working Comedy and Gimmick (as Kaleb with a K in Impact, he was great)
Added No Pregnancies attribute to Alexxis Nevaeh (I just learned this sad fact)
Gave both the Voros twins Heavy Social Media User and created a narrative that boosts their pop in 2020 because of "Da Vinky"
Gave Matthew Gregg starting pop, Heavy Social Media User (both because it's the Botchamania guy) and the Maffew alias
Gave Chris Masters his moveset
Adjusted the WALTER alter-ego to be always used after 2016
Adjusted the Edith Surreal alter-ego to be always used outside CHIKARA, 2021 or later
Fixed the American Adonis alter-ego to work properly
WWA Mexico is now correctly placed in Noroccidente (it's in Tijuana, Baja California)
EuroStars is now correctly placed in Western Europe, rather than Central (it's a Belgian company, and its pop suggests Western)
Extended LPWA's in-game name to "Ladies Pro Wrestling Association", as this fits
Corrected WJ's name ("Fighting of World", not "Fighting World of")
CWA (EUR) given events January-May so they don't collapse from not touring (this break from reality was approved by Fleisch)
WFWA given events so they don't collapse if their TV deal ends (this was never noticed before due to WFWA usually going bust before that's relevant)
SSW/TASW/USA Pro/IWA Japan/WSL given events so they actually run shows
Set APW-PT's belts to fixed (they incorrectly weren't before)
IWA Japan now correctly allows women's wrestling (they had a women's title)
Added all new RINGS workers to their respective RINGS national stables (created RINGS Russia and RINGS Georgia)
Removed RINGS Holland's "must include" so it doesn't immediately disband when Dolman retires
Bill Alfonso contracted to WCW as he was acting as El Gigante's assistant at the time
Naoki Sano contracted to PWFG as he worked there around start date
Tom Davis contracted to UWFi as he worked there around start date
Atsushi Onita given a long contract with a very small wage as he's an owner character and his large wage was crippling FMW before
Koji Kitao now hates Riki Choshu (Kitao was fired over anti-Korean racism toward Choshu in 1990)
Koji Kitao now has strong dislike of John Tenta (that one SWS match incident)
Created blood relationship between Gene Kiniski and Kelly Kiniski
Created blood relationship between Pete Collins and Danny Boy Collins
Added a few Anoa'i blood relationships that got missed (in the process of adding Solo Sikoa to the family)
Fixed NWA's alliance requirements to allow Indian companies (logically) and women's companies (they have women's companies in already)
Fixed an AWA Tag Team Title reign that was credited to Buddy Rogers rather than Buddy Rose
Fixed Aguila Solitaria's school's name (removed "@ at")
Fixed spelling of All Japan "Prow" Wrestling TV
Moved Olimpiyskiy (the Moscow stadium) from Eastern Europe to Russia (location was wrong)
Extended the name of Centre Culturel et Communautaire (because it fits)
Fixed Rebel Complex's opening date

Thank you to everyone for their hard work in this. Quick question, I've got a save from the 2.1 version that's been about 8 months in game & was wondering if its possible to just import these new workers/companies/training centres/broadcasters/arenas into that version without breaking anything, or would you recommend starting a brand new save if so much is fixed from the previous version?

The main problems you'll have are importing the training facilities as the ones linked to a company may not link to that company by importing to a saved game. Similar issues may arise from importing active companies (no owners, no rosters, no titles etc...) but unsure how it would work for yet to open companies (ie whether their mandatory/preferred owners would autofill).

Workers/broadcasters/arenas should have no big negative effect when importing (other than the workers all coming into your game as free agents).

In other words, import at your own risk but I think there are enough changes to the mod that starting a new game may be a better option in the long term.

Cheers for the advice. I may start again then. Hopefully I can get through at least a year of in-game booking at least 1 time before a big update happens. Thank you again.

As it stands right now (unless there's a game breaking error) this will be the last update until I at least get my new mod out and a Diablo X update finished. Recovery is going ok so I may be able to start working on these again before the end of the month.

Just wondering, is it possible to have a game go all the way to 2016? Player time constraints aside, a 24+ year sim seems insanely difficult to do without anything breaking or companies becoming absurdly rich

You shouldn't see too many companies become insanely rich in the earlier years as there is no streaming sites to get the smaller companies on so keeping a smaller company in business shouldn't be as easy. There are enough companies & workers in the game to play to modern day. I've so far only run a 12 year watcher game and yes, WWF and WCW tend to get the lions share of the wealth but I've not noticed anything broken.

Unfortunately, unless you take over every company and book them to real life, there are going to be anomalies from reality as the game progresses - there's nothing a modder can do about that. We can only try to set companies up "as they were" at the time, after that the Player/AI will do what they want.

Hopefully that answers your query.

You won't have to assign the pictures, once done you can put them in your People folder and they will show up in game (saved games too).

The download to the data and the Logo/Belts pack is on the first page (1st post). Hope you all enjoy, as always, constructive feedback on mistakes/oversights is always welcome.

For those of you that enjoy the gif style logos, I'll try and get all the new companies included done as soon as I can but it might take a while.

ECW aren't in the NWA. If you try to join the request is denied due to WCW? Is there some kind of workaround?

"In 1992, Goodhart sold his share of the company to his partner, Tod Gordon, who renamed the promotion Eastern Championship Wrestling. When Eastern Championship Wrestling was founded, it was not a member of the National Wrestling Alliance (NWA)."

"Eastern Championship Wrestling joined the National Wrestling Alliance (NWA) on September 18, 1993 where it was a member until August 30, 1994."

I'm not sure if there is a workaround. Does it say why WCW deny them entry? If WCW feel ECW are too small then that's a game mechanic and the only workaround would be boosting ECWs popularity. If it's due to the relationship between Bischoff & Heyman, you could remove it in the in game editor.

How I have to do it is temporarily create extra players as the bookers of WCW and/or NJPW. Then you can go nuts. It's an exploit but sometimes necessary

I can't really figure out why WCW don't want poor little ECW in the NWA. I read Larry Winters was a big reason they was in the NWA so I thought it makes sense they'd be in there.
