(HYPE) The London-Verse

Recommended Posts

Really looking forward to this, much like SkyWalker said earlier, Thunder Verse and London Verse is pretty much what I played in 2016. Even had a few games where I combined the two worlds...fun but big, lol.

Really looking forward to the Expanded Version, as the one minor issue I had with the LondonVerse was it seemed a bit top heavy, I guess would be one way to describe it. Like it was more built around the medium to bigger promotions that already had TV exposure and had already built up a fanbase, then the smaller scene.

That's how I remember it anyway, has been a while...I'm really trying to avoid the process of fixing everything up in converting a 2016 mod, so just playing 20 mods for 20. But I do remember I would usually import a few smaller promotions from the Tverse/Cverse (just the promotions, not the rosters) to make it seem like there was more a smaller scene.

But really enjoyed the mod, excellent collection of Women in it...Women's Wrestling is how I judge a mod, lol. That's what I normally play.

Thanks buddy. Appreciate the kind words.

On the topic of women's wrestling, from the onset I wanted women's wrestling to be seen as equal to that of the men's so I would like to think that the scene has been given due attention. :)

I'm excited to bring absolute wrestlecrap to the L-Verse.

Wrestlesaurus X: The Wrestlesaurusing is on the horizon!

Or Luchasaurus X........

Yes, this will be released at some stage for sure.

Like many I sort of fell out of love with wrestling as a whole last year for various reasons. During times where my passion for the product isn't at its best, I don't force myself on a project as it does not yield the results I want.

Having said that, I have started to feel creative as of late so I will be recommencing my work on this today.

For anyone that is familiar with the L-Verse data, I am currently looking for people that would like to assist with discussing ideas and helping with the overall development of the game world as the London-Verse data goes from 2015 to 2018.

Anybody that is interested (and has discord) send me a PM.

Just a small update......

I am working through bringing the data from its 2015 start point to 2018 and, unsurprisingly, this is no small task. Thanks to not only the length of time between the two start points, but the ripple effects of some of the larger arching events that have effected the game world, progress has been slow going but fun all the same. In order to hopefully keep interest in this game world between now and the eventual release, I have decided to drop an interesting (or what I consider to be at least) fact or two about each promotion as I go along and complete them. I won't be giving everything away to leave many surprises for when the data is released. I will pose some questions to provoke thought and perhaps even debate between any that are interested.

This neatly brings me to my first point of business...........

AWF

gczugnz.jpg

- The owner of the AWF, Adam Sutherland tragically passed away in 2016

- In an attempt to freshen up the product, the AWF have opened the Starlet division (women).

- One member of the roster has had the rocket strapped to their back and has ascended to the top of the card

Food for thought

- Who is now guiding the AWF ship and furthermore, who has the book?

- Are they still the big kid on the playground?

Are you planning to describe each promotion in this way?

Just a thought.

Would people have any interest in me, every now and then, dropping random renders in this thread for people to come up with characters/bios for. I can then use these in promotions or make them free agents, perhaps future graduates?

I can't promise that any ideas I might come up with won't be terrible/boring/plagiarised/offensive, but I can try, and I'm sure that others will be more creative than me.

As I was working on the data I reached nice little milestone so thought I would share it with the collective.

After I added the most recent worker into the data, I have now reached 1800 in total. This figure will continue to grow, but I do like me a nice round number.

Yesterday on the discord I was asked to render a couple of the people in the community. Whilst I won't post the pictures they provided me with, I will post the renders I created based upon the pictures.

It made me think that it could be a fun little exercise and will allow the community to feature in the London-Verse data in some shape or form. Whilst I reserve the right to use creative license where needed, if you do want a render of yourself to feature in the game feel free to either post a picture of yourself (please, please keep the picture PG, I know what some of you are like :p) or send me a direct message on the discord.

I can't promise when exactly I will do them, but I will be sure to post them in the forum and discord.

I think this will be a fun idea for you?
